From time to time I find myself with so much wanting and an urge to make things more than what they really are. And it all makes me so tired, like I have been desperately running for a long time, escaping from forgotten nightmares, searching for made-up dreams.
Does life really has to feel this way?

Some chapters of life don’t actually have an apparent ending. They just fade away silently.
It’s a strange feeling to look back at the past sometimes and see how some parts of life have simply dissolved into nothingness. And even though this poem might sound sad, I believe that being mindful of the transience of life actually helps us to feel all the preciousness and beauty of it.

I had this little mindshift the other day and decided to write this poem.
I think it holds true to other aspects of life as well. It might also be better to stop looking for the meaning of life and start choosing it.

I tried putting some feelings into words and it turned into this rambling. Sometimes, it seems that what gets me anxious is an undercurrent craving for more. There’s so much conditioning for us to always be moving forward and achieving. It feels like there will never be enough time to just be present.
I guess that’s how it feels to be a human sometimes and it’s okay. But I do believe that some things can be revealed with these kinds of emotions. Personally, I’ve been trying to redefine my ideas about success and growth. We've been seeing lately how so much of what’s considered progress is actually killing the earth and I think that might be a good hint about the way we need to change.
Anyway, that’s enough for today. Thanks for reading.

There may be enough reasons to doubt the kindness of others, but when we have enough courage to live our truth, we’re also helping to make this world a more accepting and loving place.

Maybe there’s parts of us that just wake up when they’re seen.
I can feel the movement of soft creatures inside, with a kindness so fearless that sometimes it scares me. They were already here, sleeping in my darkness, waiting to be touched by the warm light of your gaze.

Can we really draw a line between a moment and another moment? It might be just like drawing a line on a map, while the real place remains a continuum.

Some musings on darkness and how I’m trying to see it in a new way:
For me darkness is mostly a symbol of the unknown and the fear, the anxiety of not knowing. It’s the absence of light, where conscious illumination can’t reach. But it’s not just an absence.
My body is extracting energy from the air right now. I have no idea how, but it’s happening. And even if I study and understand more about the respiratory system, this wouldn’t make the process more conscious to me in the slightest. This is one of the infinite things that happens outside my consciousness or, in other words, in the dark.
And yet all these unseen processes, from the small atoms to the giant stars, are precisely what allows for the light of consciousness to manifest. All this moving darkness is the true home of the fire. The mother of being.

Maze of mirrors.
I get in awe of this world sometimes. This poem started as a little curiosity about how the moon shines. It turns out to be a reflection of light coming from the sun. And the way the sun shines is another can of mysteries that just goes on and on. One thing leads to another and it never stops.
To look at something and see this string of connections reminds me of how contemplation can be used as a spiritual practice, a form of prayer to have a direct experience of God, or whatever you like to call it.
I think this quote by William Blake puts the feeling into words better than I ever could: “If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.”
