If no one can tell, I’m a big dragon lover. Especially for Spyro and Cynder!

Childhood memory of my mother and I. Even victims of abuse can become abusive to their children as well no matter how much they love them. Parents need to take responsibility of their scars and trauma as well- not take it out on their kids, especially for no real valid reason. Parents need to remember their humans too which means they have flaws and can be just as toxic as anyone else. Mothers and Fathers- be sure to get guidance, a healthy support system, and any professional help if needed. Be our leaders, be our mentors, our best friends, our family, our haven- not our bullies, not our abusers, not our grown-up babies who uses us as punching bags. Be real with yourselves and keep your eyes open to yourself and the world around you. Rock on!

A little vent art for my family life. It’s surprising when you find out your family has turned the world against you while turning you against the world for their own sake of satisfaction. And it’s even more confusing and heart-breaking when you find out they don’t care to change or improve. I’m chained down and must get away asap. I’m not obligated to be around them or keep contact no matter what anyone else says, blood does not equate to family. I will not allow them to shatter my sanity and self esteem any longer. 

For anyone dealing with abusive families, friends, or significant others- get the heck out of there if they refuse to change or get help. You’re not obligated to put up with any of it. It doesn’t matter if it’s emotional, sexual, physical, mental abuse, or all of the above and more! You deserve better no matter how old you are, what gender or sex, or anything like that. You are a human being with rights and you have every right to be respected and charished
