Police Officers: Stay Safe.
Watch your six. Watch your buddies’ six. Just be safe, and come home safe, and be able to hug and kiss your families again at the end of the day. Don’t let the world’s negativity overcome you. Ignore the idiots who shout and yell and scream - they mean nothing. Continue doing your jobs for the good people, and know that we stand behind you, always. There are those out there who still love you, and have your back. Keep fighting. Don’t give up. Have hope, and stay safe.

“It seems that most people only care about cops when they die, then they thank them, but they don’t thank them when they’re alive PEOPLE SHOULD APPRECIATE THE HEROES”
— unknown - but such true words

I’m not sure how I needed it, but I trust in God that it will be shown to me soon, as of today it has been 2yrs 2mos 25days that I have been struggling and fighting to get back to where I’m needed. I’m gonna keep fighting, those who know what I’m going through have stood with me and prayed for me, thank you ALL so very much, your support means so much to me. I love you ALL. 🖤💙🖤 https://www.instagram.com/p/CDdNYXYHMHoTaMsjI6FpT17GcvIaakCGhB6Vdo0/?igshid=h0cdoqroou17

It saddens me to read an awesome story of where some police officer does something kind and above and beyond the call of duty to help someone in need, then at the end of the story it says something along the lines of “share this to prove that not all police officers are bad.” It saddens me that we live in a society where we have to “prove” anything about police officers. Can’t it just be a story of a good deed, done by one human being to another, and not evidence to prove/disprove some greater theory. Can’t it just mean that police officers are people too, not just monsters that the media turns us out to be. I hate that we live in a world where it’s shocking that police can actually be good people.

Alright ya’ll story time.
Ok, so if u know anything about me, I’m all about supporting community and volunteering! Every weekend, the team that I work for goes to lowest income neighborhood. We play multiple games with the kids, hand them out snacks. And while the kids are playing, we hand out groceries to the parents. So, here we are. Doing what we have always done for months. Music are playing, kids are laughing. Hungry ppl are getting fed. Great, right? Apparently, some grinch didn’t think so.
And that f**kmunch decided to call the cops on us!
And guess wat happened?
Three police vehicle blaring their sirens showed up! And these cops suited up with heavy duty stuff. Multiple weapons were strapped up to their heavily guarded vest.
The kids were frightened by the large guns they had with them. I remember a little boy ran up and hugged my leg tightly out of fear. I could hear him murmuring “they have a big gun…..”
We weren’t doing anything bad, but I was scared for us and the kids. Aside the whole “bad cop” thing, I kept thinking “oh god, are they gonna shut us down? How are we gonna feed the kids then?” While everyone froze and didn’t move, three of the cops examined the scene.
Colorful balloons.
Kids playing dodgeball.
And toothless old woman thanking us because she finally had food for the kids and diapers for the babies.
The cops placed the large guns back inside their vehicles.
Then, unexpectedly, they joined us! Two of the African American cops played dodgeball with the kids! The heaviest African American gentleman cop moved with lightning speed, at the same time he was dancing “all the single lady” and made the little girls laugh. The thinner African American cop was teaming up with the boys and chanting some hilariou non-sense to get the boys rattled up (the dodgeball was boys vs girls)
The tallest cop, white gentleman played basketball with the boy but he kept “losing” to the kids
By the end we were having a blast! We thanked the cops for playing with the kids. Than, they told us something interesting. It was their first time being called to that specific neighborhood. It was notorious for being one of the most active gun shooting area. So when they were called in for “loud disturbance”, they imagined the worst. So when they pulled in and saw kids laughing and playing, it was a huge surprise for them! They told us that it gave them huge motivations to protect the kids and neighborhood.
Overall despite that every day we hear ugly stuff about bad cops who abuse their powers, it was nice to see few good ones among the rotten ones~
Thank u Tulsa Cops guys, u guys not only became these kids’ heroes but u made them feel safer in their world
