You know whatā¦ I want to say maybe the reason I donāt like them is because of maybe their characterization in the anime?
I havenāt read the manga yet, so maybe theyāre portrayed differently and not as annoying.
Here are my reasonings behind this and yaāll can let me know if theyāre like this in the manga, please.
Caulifla is tooā¦ how do I say itā¦ demanding and pushy.
It makes me feel as if this is just a bad portrayal of a strong Saiyan woman (to be fair I donāt know much about female Saiyan characterization, but if I remember correctly there isnāt much), but then again, they are from Universe Six, so it might be different there but I donāt and to use that as reasoning too much.
Also, it just makes me seem that they didnāt try too hard to stray away from the female stereotypes that ātheyāre pushy and demanding and loud and obnoxious.ā
Itās one thing to portray a female strong but itās another to make them overbearing
Kaleās shyness and insecurities.
I donāt know man, this just seemed to be a major anti-Saiyan personality. As I said before, maybe itās just how they are in U6, so maybe I shouldnāt complain too much..
Also, it just seems to fall into another stereotype (the other half) of women āare too shy and needy and whiny and insecure.ā
So I feel like both characters were just strung along for crappy female development, again, theyāre Saiyans so itās kinda cool, but even then.. their portrayals arenāt.
Their unhealthy co-dependency
Again, maybe at this point, I donāt like their characterization so anything they do bothers the hell out of me, but their relationship didnāt seem the healthiest. I get it that there were supposed to be mirrors of Goku and Vegeta but my guys arenāt co-dependent, unless they are.. but not too blatant?
Hmm, now, i gotta hear someone support this argument, Iād love to see what they gotta say.
I get that they see each other as sisters and whatnot, but it seems a bit too co-defendant for my taste.
Then again, like I said in the poll, Iām probably just hating.
Iād love to hear what some of yaāll have to say! Maybe shut me down in a nice way, lol, or confirm my dislike.
Please let me know I canāt be the only one who thinks this way.

There are a few reason why I havenāt been able to continue Super (not because itās bad):
Not in the right mindset, hehe.
The art style, I miss DBZ style, itās not bad just not the greatest taste in my mouth.
The show isnāt as intense as DBZ.
They had to lower the intensity rating of the show to appeal to younger audience in Japan because they wanted to bring in new viewersā¦
Ummm, excuse me?? Dragon Ball doesnāt need new viewers, it has loyal young adults, adults right here. I donāt see the new to being in a younger demographic when the older demographic is just as psyched and pumped as we have ever were with DB & DBZ.
Ehh, but thatās just me. š¤·š»āāļø
