"That could be us," Joseph sighed and stared longingly at another couple, as they rested their heads on each other and talked as if nothing else mattered in that moment, except each other.
"That is us." You deadpanned from your seat next to your boyfriend, with your head on his shoulder.
"Oh, yeah—"

The Family || Jotaro Kujo x Reader (1/2)
cw: female reader, fluff, meeting the parents type anxiety, long asf, unedited
summary: (EVERYONE LIVES AU) jotaro's girlfriend finally meets his family
a/n: for the people that have requested some fics, dw i have seen them and I'm working on them!! just taking a while because of school and stuff 👍
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
"Are you sure they'll like me? What's his mother like? How am I supposed to act? Who do I need to impress the most? What if they interrogate me?"
To put it lightly, you were worried. You were finally going to meet your boyfriend's family, up until now, you've never made it this far in relationships. What do you do? What do you say?
"If you keep stressing, you'll give yourself a heart attack, Y/N." Your best friend, Noriaki, was sat on your bed watching you as you dug through your wardrobe.
He has already met Jotaro's family, what with saving Holly's life earlier that year; a trip that nearly killed all of them, and a trip you didn't go on.
Kakyoin knows you'll be fine.
If anything, he's more worried for Jotaro as he'll most likely be teased for the entire evening, especially by his grandfather. His mother and grandmother will most likely dote over you and tell the both of you how cute you are together.
"Can you please just tell me what his family are like?" You were frustrated with Kakyoin's nonchalance and lack of worthy advice.
"Alright, alright." He sat up, raised his arms and surrendered, before scooting back to rest against the wall. "His mom and grandma? You'll be okay. They're bubbly despite their ages, and his grandma is most likely to talk the most about anything and everything."
"So... they're nice?"
"Yes. And they're probably the easiest to impress."
"Okay, what about the dad and grandad?"
"His dad's probably not gonna be there-" he began.
"Why?" You interjected.
"He's usually performing, either locally or abroad."
"Oh yeah, he's a jazz musician right?" You clicked your fingers.
"Yeah."
"His grandad?" You egged Kakyoin on, hoping to get as much useful information as possible.
"Mr. Joestar really is...something. He's not used to Japanese culture, so he hates it despite not knowing much about it. I'd avoid referencing pop culture that only we'd understand."
"Wait, what?" You stopped burrowing through the heaps of clothes to turn to look at your best friend completely bewildered.
He quickly looked to the side before looking back at you. "What?"
"What do you mean by he's not used to Japanese culture?" You stepped closer.
"Well, Mr. Joestar is British and Mrs. Joestar is Italian, and they've lived in New York for all of their adult lives. They have a more Western upbringing." Kakyoin casually explained.
"I- how do you even know this?" It was almost scary how much he knew.
"When you go on a 50-day-long... business trip with the man, you learn a lot." He shrugged.
"Right."
----
As the sun started to set, your mind only raced quicker. You just wanted to get this over and done with, no matter how it goes. Even if it goes badly, it wouldn't change Jotaro's mind...right?
A car horn snapped you out of your thoughts and it took you a second to realise it was Jotaro here to pick you up.
You raced downstairs before yelling goodbye to your parents as they simply responded by wishing you good luck. After looking in the mirror to make sure you looked the best you could, you shut the front door behind you and made your way over to your boyfriend, who was leaning at the passenger side of his car and smoking a cigarette.
"Hey, Jojo!" You called, rushing over to him.
"Hey, N/N." He visibly relaxed at the sight of you and, after finishing the cigarette, he leaned down to kiss the top of your head. "You ready?"
"I kinda have to be, don't I?"
"It would help."
You both chuckled before getting into the car so he could drive you back to his house. As you got closer, your thoughts began to spiral, which only made you worry more.
You hadn't even realised you were there until Jotaro opened the door for you, meaning he had already gotten out. "You really that worried?"
No answer.
You couldn't bring yourself to form any words, let alone a response. Why are you so worried?
"You'll be okay, Y/N. Trust me." He took your hand in his, gently shutting the car door behind you, and slowly walking so you'd have time to somewhat compose yourself.
That, however, was short-lived. Various voices from behind the front door was heard, all of which sounded frantic.
"They're here!"
"I can't wait to meet the girl that's made our grandson so happy!"
"Open the door then, let's see them!"
Your heart nearly jumped out of your chest. Moments before the door was opened, Jotaro took your hand and squeezed it as reassurance.
"There they are!" A surprisingly tall older man boomed after he opened this comically smaller front door. Must be his grandfather. "You're going to freeze if you keep standing out there, come in! No need to be shy." He chuckled. He seems quite sweet despite the ignorance your best friend had described.
You let Jotaro go ahead, considering he lived there, so you could hide behind him for a couple more seconds. When he stepped to the side, you got a view of the hallway where two women stood: one of them looked to be the same age as the man who opened the door, with grey hair, vintage clothing, and quite a few noticeable wrinkles. Jotaro's grandmother, surely. The other woman must be their daughter and Jotaro's mother, right? She had short blonde hair, more spring in her step, and barely any wrinkles.
"She's quite a gorgeous young lady," the older woman mused quietly.
"Please, make yourself at home. Let me take your jacket." The younger woman stepped towards you as you quickly took your jacket off, but Jotaro stopped her.
"No. I'll do it, mom." This didn't surprise you as you knew how caring he could really be, especially when it was just the two of you, but the adults were all shocked.
"Okay!" His mother hid her surprise, perhaps she also knew that he really did mean well and was secretly a big softie under those muscles and dark clothing.
"Come this way, hun." The woman gestured her hand to what seemed like a living room. "What's your name?"
"My-" you were about to answer her when she kept talking.
"I have asked Jotaro, but he barely tells me anything these days. It was surprising to find out he has a girlfriend, but I'm glad we've met now." She beamed at you, then gave you an expectant look as if to say you can talk now.
"My name is Y/N L/N, Mrs. Kujo." You returned her polite smile with one of your own as you finally looked into her bright eyes.
"Oh, you don't need to be so formal, Y/N! You can just call me Holly if you want."
"Holy?" You echoed. "Like... Seiko?" You were trying so desperately to get over your nerves, thankfully her sweet and caring nature made it a lot easier. You were pretty sure if you were talking to his grandfather you would be much more terrified: he's the same height as Jotaro!
After your innocent question, you heard footsteps behind you but you didn't know them well enough to distinguish who they belonged to.
"Well, my friends do call me Seiko, but my grumpy old man out there prefers Holly, so I recommend just using that, okay?"
You weren't exactly sure how to respond, but a much deeper and louder voice tutted from behind you. "It's the name your mother and I picked, and it's beautiful!"
"Please, sit down, Y/N." Holly began, "I'm just going to get us all some drinks, is tea okay?"
"Yeah, please." You scratched the back of your neck, not even knowing what to do with your hands, and she nodded in response. "Thank you."
As she left, Jotaro walked in followed by his grandparents. He sat next to you, while the seniors sat across from you.
"So, I heard your name is Y/N, yes?" His grandmother spoke up first, giving you a more reserved smile that still resembled her daughter's. You only nodded in response. "What a beautiful name."
"Thank you, Mrs. Joestar." Her smile grew wider, almost bashful, as a subtle blush dusted her pale cheeks.
"Well, Y/N, tell us about yourself." Jotaro's grandfather finally spoke up, gazing right at you.
"Uh," you laughed awkwardly. You felt your boyfriend take your hand under the table and squeeze it reassuringly again. "What do you wanna know?"
"Anything really." He folded his arms across his chest. Despite his comfortable pose, he was quite intimidating.
"Well..." your mind and heart were racing. Where were you supposed to start? How much detail do they want? What is an appropriate amount to tell them?
"Stop pressuring her, Joseph!" Suzie lightly smacked his arm with the back of her hand.
"I'm trying to welcome her!"
They went back and forth for a while: they didn't seem to notice but the air became awkward as you looked anywhere but them, you could feel Jotaro's eyes on you. Finally, you looked back at him.
No words were exchanged, but the look in his eyes said what words couldn't express. He was proud of you. Proud of you for being able to come over and meet his family, considering how chaotic they all are in their own ways. He also knew how you weren't as good as he was under pressure, especially because he knew you wanted to impress his family in hopes of staying with him.
"How about you show her around, Jojo?" Holly suggested as soon as she walked in, already making sure you were comfortable after gently handing you a cosy cup of tea.
"Sure." Your boyfriend immediately stood up and offered his free hand to help you up, which you gladly accepted, and you both got as far away as possible.
Neither of you were aware of Suzie or Holly gushing over how perfect you are for Jotaro.
This was going to be a long night.

Mistaken || Jotaro Kujo x Reader (2/2)
cw: female reader, hangovers, mentions of alcohol + vomit, unedited
summary: y/n has to take care of her now-hungover boyfriend
note: YAY IM BACK TO WRITING JOJO! IM SORRY THIS TOOK SO SO SO LONG
Part 1 | MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
It wasn't normal for Jotaro to stay in bed for the majority of the morning, he usually woke up fairly early thanks to school, but this morning? He was out cold until nearly midday.
To be fair, he drank quite a lot of alcohol. More than he usually does, at least.
You were lounging in the living room when you heard distant, heavy footsteps from your shared bedroom as they trudged into the small bathroom. His low groans and heavy breathing was interrupted from him puking up most of his stomach. Not one of his best moments.
"Good grief," he droned, remaining slumped on the cold tiles of the bathroom floor.
"Jotaro?" You called out, "are you ok?"
He didn't respond, but purely because the burning sensation in his throat was still there.
You took it upon yourself to check on him, standing up and turning off the TV.
Wow.
You've never seen him look this ill before, not even during your shared life-or-death battles during that trip to Egypt.
Out of empathy, you slowly rubbed his back after plopping yourself down on the side of the bathtub and occasionally traced your fingers down his spine or momentarily tangled them in the back of his curly, jet-black hair.
He finally stopped after a while. The only noise that could be heard was the low-buzzing of the dim fluorescent light that hung above the mirror, along with Jotaro's uneven breathing that became more quiet and controlled as you both waited apprehensively.
When he was sure he wasn't going to throw up anymore, he let out a deep sigh that he didn't know he was holding.
"Feel any better?" You asked meekly, almost scared of jinxing it.
"A bit," he mumbled.
Feeling sorry for him, you kissed him on his temple and then directed him on what to do to make him feel much better. "Have a shower, you'll feel cleaner. I can make you some easy food in the mean time, then we can have a lazy day, yeah?"
"Yeah, thanks (Y/N). It means a lot." He turned his head towards you and smiled weakly at you, then leaned over to lazily kiss you on the cheek. "Don't know what I'd do without you, honestly."
"Neither do I, Jojo." It was impossible not to smile at his sincerity, especially considering he wasn't the best at showing these vulnerable emotions. "I'd start by brushing your teeth though."
"Wow. Thanks."
"You were just throwing up!"
"So me bleeding almost half to death after fighting that vampire bastard fine, but God forbid I throw up because I've got a hangover?" He half-jokingly retorted.
"Get in the damn shower, Jojo." You stood up and made your way for the door, before his mind could even process it.
"Yes ma'am." You heard as you shut the bathroom door behind you. You'd be lying if you said you didn't feel something when he said that.
Turning the radio on, you started preparing some basic pancakes. A good food to be eaten at any time of day. Nothing too heavy, either, as you didn't want him to be overloaded and throwing up in the bathroom again. You also set aside some water and paracetamol for him to take.
As you laid the plates and glasses down on the small breakfast bar that slightly divides the kitchen and living room, Jotaro walked through with much more comfortable and clean clothes along with his damp hair.
"Here," you tossed a towel at him. "Put it on your shoulders."
"Why?" He slightly judged your choice and simply stared at you as he continued to make his way across the room.
"So you don't get sick for real!"
When he didn't respond as he sat down next to you, still looking at you with confused eyes, you elaborated.
"Your hair is still damp, and you're only wearing a t-shirt and joggers. Getting an actual cold is not exactly the best thing to do when getting over a hangover, wouldn't you agree?"
"Alright, alright." He finally complied as he knew you only wanted to take care of him, and you wouldn't give up until he did comply.
"Thank you."
The two of you spent the rest of your day simply lounging around and doing nothing. Thankfully, none of you had any assignments due soon and any work you had before was completed before last night.
When it finally came to getting into bed again, you made a joking remark of him sleeping on the floor.
"What?"
"Do you not remember what you did last night?" You smirked over at him, even if he couldn't see in the absolute darkness of the room.
"Oh, God. No?" He was scared to find out what he did, what made it scary is that he doesn't remember a thing from last night so it could've been anything. Especially if his grandfather or Polnareff were involved.
You explained to him how he slept on the floor because he didn't recognise you and thought you were a different girl. At least you know he's loyal even when he's drunk.
He was embarrassed, but he's glad it wasn't something too stupid.
"Good grief. Goodnight."
