That MeetCutesNYC Instagram account except it's Mulder and Scully during early season 11 when they're kiiiiinda on the verge of getting back together and they get stopped and asked "Excuse me, are you two a couple?" And Scully's like "Uuuuuuuhhhhhhhh" and Mulder just enthusiastically jumps in and says "YES!" cause he totally follows this page on social media and wants his 15 minutes of fame (and to brag about Scully in public)
Interviewer: "Would you mind telling me the story of how you guys met?"
Mulder, like a kid on Christmas: "She was sent to SPY on me!"
Scully, embarrassed in the background: "That is NOT true, Mulder."
Mulder, dragging her into frame of the camera: "It so is, buckle up, this is a crazy story."
Scully, unenthusiastically: "I was assigned to be his partner at the FBI."
Mulder: "We investigated unsolved and unexplained cases often involving supernatural or extraterrestrial forces--"
Interviewer: "Like aliens?"
Scully: "Mulder--"
Mulder: "Yes! Exactly."
Interviewer: "Wow, okay. So, what was your first impression of her when you first met?"
Mulder, grabbing Scully's hand and swinging it back and forth: "Suspicious."
*arched eyebrow from Scully*
Mulder: "Suspiciously hot for a forensic pathologist."
*second eyebrow arch*
Mulder: "And she was crazy smart. I read her graduate thesis rewriting Einstein and thought 'Who is this chick?'"
*severe eye roll*
Interviewer: "And you? What was your first impression of him?"
Scully: *unintelligible*
Mulder: "I'm sorry, what's that babe?"
Scully, with a huff: "He looked cute in glasses. And had nice hair."
Mulder, shaking his head: "Tsk tsk tsk, so superficial, Scully. It wasn't that I was spooky?"
*patented Scully Look™*
Interviewer: "And how long ago was this?"
*looking at each other*
Mulder: "Let's see, 1993, so--"
Scully: "25 years."
Mulder, hugging Scully to his side: "25 years. We were both stupid though, so it wasn't until 7 years later that we finally stopped pretending we were just coworkers and friends."
Interviewer: "What's your advice after 25 years of friendship?"
Mulder: "Stay far, far away from any global conspiracies."
Scully: "That's not funny, Mulder."
Mulder: "But it's sound advice! Fine. Find someone you'd go to the ends of the earth for, I'm talking Antarctica. Don't let anything else get in the way."
Interviewer: "Nice. And you?"
Scully, looking at Mulder: "You have to believe in each other. Whatever happens, you face it together. And don't wait 7 years to tell a person you love them."
*they share a look*
Interviewer: "Well, thanks for answering our questions! What are your names?"
my hand to God the episode where Mulder's ex-partner steals his notes and while his buddy is in the process of presenting Mulder's profile as his own and taking the credit and after like three sentences in the middle of the meeting Scully snaps her head round to Mulder because she knows. literally she's ON TO IT all outraged "THAT'S YOUR PROFILE!" literally completely unprompted I am telling you that is true love right there. I'd recognise your behavioral profile of a homicidal maniac anywhere anytime baby. Who was Chris Carter trying to fool anyway? smh.
I don’t care how contrived it is. I will always enjoy two characters who don’t like each other somehow getting trapped in the same place, and having to work together to escape, while at the same time growing closer and learning that maybe, the other person isn’t so bad after all.
