annie wasn’t a fan of any of the citizens from one or two, solely because
she was afraid of them, afraid of the tributes from those districts that were in her games.
she didn’t want to associate with them, want her sister to associate with them, but she
wouldn’t dare be rude to them whenever she had to be around them. sure, they may
have been more monstrous but some part of them must’ve been struggling like the rest
of the victors. ‘i’m sorry you don’t get treated kindly all the time,’ there was no hint of
sarcasm in her voice; she really, genuinely was sorry. maybe if they were more accepted
and loved amongst the other victors, they wouldn’t be so… vicious. ‘i get it, though. there’s
some victors i like being around but a lot of them don’t want to know me. not for the
same reason that they may not be nice to you, but… still.’ because cashmere was a
murderer, but annie was crazy. two qualities that were frightening in different ways.
