Unusual Nominations Issue?
Okay. I always post with a list of works that have been successfully nominated once I get a few. I haven’t done that this year. There’s a reason for that.
There aren’t any yet...
Submissions are technically due tomorrow night, and there are still no successful nominations. Unless there are a lot of you out there who are holding onto your submissions until the very last minute, we have a slight problem.
I’m extending the deadline for nominations to January 25.
That cuts prep time pretty slim for me, but if we don’t get more submissions in, it would be a very sad voting ballot, indeed.
Once again, here’s the post with all the links you need to get your nominations submission in. If you’ve just been putting it off, now is the time to spank that procrastination part of your brain and get it done!

Hi there, re the categories that were not done last year. Although the Rumbelle Christmas in July didn't happen, we had the "Rumbelle Summer Gift Exchange" in its place. Would it be possible to amend that category to honor those creators who took part in this?

It’s 2022 T.E.A. Nomination time!
Not sure where the last year has gone, but the time has come once again! It’s time let us know which fics and artwork you enjoyed (and that helped you survive) over the past 12 months. Go back, re-live the joy, and tell us which of those fan creations you want to see on the 2022 T.E.A. ballot!
Nominations begin January 2, 2022
Nominations are due by January 23, 2022, 11:59 pm (CST)
Just in case you need a refresher on T.E.A. Rules, there’s a link to them
Here is the Submit Page, freshly cracked open, where you can send in your nominations. Don’t forget to include the work’s title and its creator when nominating fic and art! And please be sure you have the creator correct. It would also be super helpful if you would make sure that the works you nominate are eligible, as the mod cannot verify each and every one of hundreds of nomination.
Keep in mind that during the nominations phase, you can submit as many nominations as you like. You’re not limited to one nomination per category. Nominate out the wazoo, if you feel like it! And if you forget something, you can come back and nominate more creations all the way up to the due date.

I’ve had some messages about this, too, so I’ll answer here.
First, I want to genuinely thank the people who have put themselves forward to take over. Your offers are kind and appreciated. However, I have to say no.
There’s nothing preventing someone else from continuing, but I’m not willing to go through the process of training someone how to run the event. I could feasibly drop it into someone’s lap without the training I received before I started running it, but I don’t feel that would be fair to either that person or to the spirit of the awards.
I’ve thought about it a great deal. For most of the past year, I’ve been struggling with the thought of retiring the awards because it’s been going for so many years and because it’s a beloved event. But at the best of times, just running the event is stressful and time intensive, and training someone would compound that in a way I’m not prepared to deal with for multiple reasons.
I understand that some people are going to be upset or angry with me, and that’s fine. My love for the fandom and for Rumbelle are why I’m doing this for one more year. No one is stopping other awards events from continuing or being created, but unless any past runners are willing to take up the mantle again, this will be the last year for the TEAs.
