If you go by the lyrics of Taylor’s “Midnights”, if it was about her and Joe, that’s one toxic fucking relationship……..
And she ain’t over someone. She’s “got a lot to pine about” 👀

I just received my copy of “Like Me” by Chely Wright in the mail.
I’ve just skimmed the table of contents and read two paragraphs of the preface, and already see similarities to Taylor’s story and her lyrics.
The table of contents is full of chapters named simply with a girl’s/woman’s name. Brenda, Julia, Kristin…makes me think of Betty, Dorothea…
And one the very first page she says “I walk around my house in the middle of the night, from room to room, trying to find something to distract me, something to stimulate me, something to keep me from breaking down”
Sound familiar?
“Awake in the night, I pace like a ghost/the room is on fire, invisible smoke/ and all of my heroes died all alone/help me hold onto you”
I would bet money these lyrics were inspired by Chely.
I’ll definitely be posting more as I go!

I have this lavender antibacterial hand spray. - Taylor (2016) I have like one drop left... it's so good. - Karlie (2020)
youtube
"Whenever me and my friends are in a public bathroom. We have to wait in line at the sink to wash our hands, I am like 'no, like check it out *spray*'… and everybody is like 'thx girl'."
I just wanna stay in that lavender haze!

"The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo" quotes (Gaylor's Version)
"She and I had been taking great pains not to be seen together. It was one thing when we really were just friends, but now that we had something to hide, we had to start hiding it."
But it's been two-thousand one-hundred ninety days of our love blackout
"Fortunately, painting me as some woman who couldn't keep a husband sold more papers … than outing me. […] All I had to do was make sure that my romantic scandals felt like a story that would keep making headlines."
Got a long list of ex-lovers They'll tell you I'm insane But I've got a blank space, baby And I'll write your name
Ideas for more? 🤔
