James (コジロウ) 47 y/o
After leaving Team Rocket (and finding out Jessie was pregnant) James was worried about what they were going to do. Luckily, Nanny and Pop-Pop welcomed them with open arms to their cottage. There, he helped run the Pokémon sanctuary and also picked up other odd jobs in order to build up their savings. After Jessie started working, he was able to just focus on helping out on the daycare and takes over after Nanny and Pop-Pop retire. The family splits their time between Kanto and Hoenn (for Jessie’s work).
Jessie (ムサシ) 47 y/o
After having Jules, Jessie decided to also start working so James wouldn’t have to work a million jobs. Jessie decided to go into fashion where she was very successful. So successful she was able to open up a shop in Hoenn and get a home there! She still designs for coordinators and Pokémon alike. While primarily designing for coordinators, she’s done stuff for trainers and gym leaders and even designed Misty’s wedding dress!
Julie (トモエ) 16 y/o
Julie, who prefers to be called Jules, is quite talented and a very well rounded trainer. She likes trying new things and is still deciding on what kind of trainer she’d like to be. She cares deeply for her Pokémon and puts them first no matter what the circumstances (much like her father). After meeting Cane, she couldn’t bear to let him travel alone since he was doing pretty bad. She tends to drag him everywhere and makes him try new things with her. Jule’s team consists of her Galarian Meowth and Pokémon that are conventionally “ugly”.
Jean (ウチダ) 10 y/o
Jean, like Cane, is just starting their journey. But unlike Cane, they are very good with Pokémon. Some say that Jean’s able to to communicate with Pokémon (maybe thanks to Uncle Meowth). They’re a bit of a troublemaker but everything they do is in good fun. Jean prefers to travel in a nonlinear way, going region to region in no particular order. They’re always someplace new when Jessie and James check in. Jean’s partner is an Alolan Meowth.

Brock (タケシ) 37 y/o
After years of studying finally achieved his goal of becoming a Pokémon doctor. Although he’s achieved his goal, he strives to learn even more and often goes and does his own field research. He’s based in Pewter City to be closer to family. Despite having such a demanding job, Brock makes it a point to be as present in his kids’ lives as possible.
Joy (ジョーイさん) 35 y/o
This Joy, unlike all her sisters and cousins, is not a nurse. She’s always resented the fact that ALL Joys follow the same career path and decided to go in her own direction. She went through an aggressive rebellious stage when she was younger. After meeting Brock she found her real passion was cooking and followed her dreams of being a chef. She now manages one of the local restaurants in Pewter.
Joyce (サチコ) 12 y/o
Joyce is a very ambitious and open-minded girl. She has a set goal, that goal being to be a traveling Pokémon medic. She knows a ton about medicine, potions, herbs and berries thanks to her father. She’s rather soft spoken and very sweet but can take charge of situations in a heartbeat if need be. She travels with Cane and Julie on and off, usually meeting up with them at random Pokémon Centers. Joyce has no interest in having a Pokémon team. She only catches hurt Pokémon, rehabilitates them, and releases. Her only partner is her Gardevoir.
Jasper (ダイチ) 9 y/o
Jasper is the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet and is always looking to give a helping hand. He’s not old enough to go on a journey yet so in the meantime he helps Joy out at her restaurant.
Gemma (タカラ) 3 y/o
Gemma likes to collect rocks.
