Remember the 6 year old girl who was surrounded by Israeli tanks and the red crescent couldn't reach her? Her name is Hind Hamadeh. Here you can hear the phone call her 15 year old sister, Layan Hamadeh, made with the medics. She was killed exactly a moment later including all people in the car, except for 6 year old Hind who was stuck in the car with the dead bodies of her family, Israeli tanks and IDF surrounding her, shooting, preventing anybody to reach her.
That was last night (29.1.24). Today, still nothing. The fate of Hind remains unknown.
palestine red crescent ambulance team went to rescue her yesterday evening, but they have not returned as of now. We lost contact with them about 18 hours ago, and we still remain unaware of their fate and whether they succeeded in evacuating her or not.
Please, share Hind's story as much as you can on any platform. We need to know what happened to her. Put yourself in her place, how terrified she must be. Don't scroll past this.

i'm confused about the icj ruling. people are saying they didn't call for a ceasefire but didn't they say to stop harming the people of gaza both physically and mentally?
i reblogged/posted a few opinions from Palestinian lawyers and analysts and basically some are saying "this is very strong language for a ceasefire/legalese for a ceasefire" (Lamis Deek for example says this and I tend to trust her about lawyer stuff re:Palestine ā click).
A lot of people in Gaza themselves though really feel discouraged from this which is totally valid and fair and I don't think we should discount their viewpoint (i reblogged a post by @bringmemyrocks about this). Many people were hoping it would put an immediate end to everything, but it really depends on Israel right now to implement the demands and... we all know they won't do that unless there are consequences lol.
So I think the biggest issue is that it will take a month before concrete steps are actually taken if at all and many people are quite pessimistic this will happen because of previous track records and people are dying NOW rather than later. Either way, we gotta keep resisting *shrug*.

The existence of an ethnostate by default means the subjugation and violence committed against other groups of people and you cannot name anywhere, definitely not a continent, where a homogenous ethostate can be established without displacing the people already living there who are not part of the ethnic group.
The only way this can ever be achieved is through ethnic cleansing and you're literally asking me if I'm in favour of that and the answer is fuck no

I think a slightly more accurate description of Bisanās ask is to stop or minimise all economic activity not in direct support of Palestine. Now more than ever, I would encourage people to donate to escape funds for Palestinians, to direct aid organisations like CareforGaza and the PCRF, and to buy e-sims as theyāre running low.

Reminder that Palestinians in Gaza are being deliberately starved by Israel. Families in gaza are boiling plant leaves and eating them. They're also eating animals and birds food to stay alive. There are reported cases of kids and infants who died out of hunger and/ or cold. Starving people is part of genocide too. Remember how fast medicine was provided for the Israeli hostages, while Palestinians are starving for food and water and getting operations and amputations performed with no medication or anesthesia whatsoever.
