do get the sense p1 haruspex's interactions with the termites are heavily distorted in fanon by p2's mere existence. that man is Not adopting anyone he's doing errands for all the kids and trying to not let them get killed but it's 90% about the termites' self-determination as a faction and the kids expressing individuality /against/ a town that doesn't yet value them, and 10% artemiy being a son and orphan himself who ascends to power in a foreshadowing, a wheel-like cycle even, of the termites' own futures... in fact, an especially resonant part of his being associated with that faction is his acknowledgement of their common struggle to be recognized by the established (adult) townsfolk... it's fucked up that all these orphans are living in train cars and abandoned houses but his solution isn't to force them elsewhere

hey so you know all the symbolism about miles wearing a spider-man costume for most of itsv because he didn't feel like he was living up to what spider-man was supposed to be. you know how his real suit is so important because it represents his confidence in himself. hey did you know that after miguel tells him he's an anomaly and a mistake, miles' suit glitches back into that spider-man costume.

It's still kinda wild how Phineas and Ferb managed to completely hijack an idiom. Now whenever someone hears a sentence leading with "If I had a nickel for everytime [...]", odds are their brain auto fills with "I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice," rather than "I'd be rich," or "I could [action that requires purchasing something requiring an obscene amount of money]". Y'know, what the idiom originally was

Quick ! Think of a word you like !
Not necessarily your favorite word, it doesn’t even have to be a word you usually like ! Just a word that right now, at this moment, you look at and think “ooh what about this one”.
It can be a word you find funny, pretty, strange, scary, anything really ! You don’t need to tell me why you choose that word (though I’d love to know if you want to tell me), just give me a word !
(It’d be lovely if we made this into a chain but there’s no pressure <3)
uhhhhh sanguine? (literally the only word that popped up into my head rn but it’s prettyyy and sounds like summer to me in some inexplicable way 😌✨)
oh sure! weekly Layton puzzle #031
Professor Layton and the Unwound Future puzzle 138
Quirky Clockwork
Tumblr media
This fancy analogue watch features a small window at the bottom that displays the day of the month, as seen in these three examples.
Out of the three numbers indicated by the letters A, B and C,
HINTS:
HINT 1
When the date changes over, however, a date that doesn't exist could appear...
Two of the three examples show the date, just at its changing over from one day to the next.
Think about how two of these numbers are possible and see if you can work out why one of them isn't.
HINT 2
Bear in mind that each day of the month is listed in order on a rotating dial inside the watch.
So when the 19th switches to the 20th, for example, you would see the number 92 displayed for a few moments around midnight.
HINT 3
The number 93 in example B shows the date as the 29th is switching over to the 30th at midnight.
By the way, there's no 40th of the month...

I honest to god looked in the mirror this morning and thought, "Man, I look like if my mom and dad had a kid," completely deadfaced and didn't realize how stupid that was until like two minutes later.
