It's been a minute since I drew something with more spice than fluff, so I took this opportunity to play with the prompt. :) Usually, I draw aged-up Zuko with long hair, but I just felt like keeping his Book 3 hair cuz I like that too and didn't feel like going too deep with it. <3
Anyway, this is my last contribution to this year's ZK Week. I want to thank the mods for making this special week available for everyone to enjoy. I look forward to it every year and I know I'm not the only one. You're doing a great job and I appreciate you!

solstices always make me think of a sort of little dance between the sun and the moon. i'm not really sure why. i think it might be because the solstice is usually a point of celebration, so it seems fair the sun and the moon should celebrate a little to.

Zutara Week Day 5: Respite
These were actually meant to be part of a larger piece for the day 1 theme "Home", but... art was refusing to art (I have so many sketches and half finished pieces I started for ZK Week, but things were just not working). So instead, we'll use there peaceful family moments in the South Pole for "respite"!
Kya pops up the most in my art, but Kallik makes an appearance here! He's Zuko and Katara's second child, and only son.

Happy Zutara Week 2023, Everyone!!
(I'm still in the midst of a stubborn art block, but I didn't want to let that stop me from participating in the most beloved of fan weeks. I fought myself a lot in making this comic and I'm not sure I won, (I swear it was cooler in my head) but I'm tired of staring at it and at this point, I'd rather have it done than perfect. (making it perfect would involve starting over, so.))

Announcement going forward: Due to DeviantArt’s loud stance on Generative AI and general mismanagement as an artistic community over the past decade, Zutara Week will no longer be hosted on their platform.
The continuation of our yearly tradition will still take place on our main socials here on X, Instagram, and Tumblr—but we are currently in the process of creating our own space to serve as an archive of all past works.
This is in hopes of having one central Zutara Week resource that the community can access without having to log in to our various socials!
Stay tuned for future announcements regarding this, and the upcoming Zutara Week dates for 2024!

as is tradition, a little snippit of zuko and katara's journey to find ursa (you can check out the fic series over here on ao3). this time they've stopped for an extended stay in ba sing se.
i was going to try and have the corresponding fic done but i did not have time so, here's a little rough little snippet to tide you over!
“But what is home,” Iroh asks.
Zuko presses his lips together, and thinks.
“Well, you, uncle,” he begins. Obvious answer but one anyway. Iroh chuckles. “You and the Jasmine Dragon and this tea.”
“What else?”
