Long story short:he has beef with Slendy over the couple decades or so.
The difference between them is that Zalgo uses his people to cause pointless harm and despair while Slenderman's main purpose is using his people to protect his identity from "the society who knows all".

The rake isn’t just one entity, there’s actually a lot of them out there. Rakes are often misidentified as sleep paralysis demons throughout history
Slenderman and the Operator are the same creature, but the name varies from place to place. There are also many different interpretations of him across the globe; no one really knows there’s more than one slender creature and so all over the world people view him as either a monstrous demon or a kind guardian, which is mainly because of Splendorman’s existence.
(Yes I am aware Slenderman and the Operator are not canonically the same being !! This is just for my au)
Zalgo at one point in time had a whole religion around him. Said religion has disappeared over time and only remains in the form of a single cult.

(Zalgo also deserves more love) what’s dating Zalgo like?
Zalgo is a creature known by few yet feared by all. Terrifying, monstrous, demonic. There are many ways he can be addressed; “he who waits behind the wall”, “Your majesty” or simply a petrified look will do the trick.
Yet to you, he will be a bit different, a bit softer as he pulls and orders you around.
How soft entirely depends on you. How you behave. Who you are. How long you have been sitting in his lap.
Are you a weak human that trembles with fear every time his claws move up and down your waist? Or a powerful entity, that can be toyed with? If you act like a brat, he will punish you like one until you learn to be afraid.
On the other hand, if you are well-behaved, he will treat you like his cute little pet, give you treats and spoil you of course while also expecting complete obedience on your end.
And yet despite that, if he truly falls for you, he doesn’t want you to be a complete yes-man. Express your boundaries while knowing that at the end of the day, he is the one permitting you to have them.
He will purr into your ear, stroke your hand and coo about how good you’re being.
Expect to be ordered around both with his words and actions.
“Come here” he will demand, and as soon as you do, you will be pulled into his lap with two strong arms. Showing both that he is in control, both of you and of himself. His claws can be used to punish, though as long as you behave, they will only sit on top of your skin as a reminder of whose lap it is that you have been sitting at.
Touch will be common, though there will be a lot more to your relationship.
Classical dates, such as going out to the cinema or to the beach won’t happen ever if often, though if they did you would be sitting in a theatre or in front of the lake of fire.
Most of the time, both you and he will enjoy each other’s company in a secluded private space, his bedroom, the throne room, or perhaps even the human world if you have pleased him enough.
He wants to you be both afraid and excited whenever you see him while also trusting him regardless of what he does.
At first expect him to be mocking, especially if you don’t comply with what he wants. His relationships never start in the normal way. His love is never at a normal healthy amount.
Possessive, cruel but also crazy about you.
“What is the little human going to do?” he will mock, “Does your pathetic little body stand any chance of resisting me”.
You must want to be a good pet for him and even if you don’t realize that this is how you keep yourself and others safe, he will ensure that you learn your lesson eventually.
As time goes on, he might get softer with you, slightly softer.
Though he would argue that he already is, your weak human body would snap like a twig if he wasn’t.
Dating him is mainly a matter of emotions and obedience though as either a lover or a pet of the king of the under dimension, you will be spoiled to no end. Finest fabric, the most expensive of jewels, countless servants to obey you, and all that your heart may desire. Except for freedom.

How do you all feel about Zalgo and his place in the Creepypasta universe? I feel like a good way to describe him is “a villain with no hook.”
- He is the ideal villain, I mean- all powerful, embodiment of chaos, and he also has the capacity to be a complex character.
- But theres like no real cannon information on him or content on him.
- So how does he spend his time, what is his goal? To keep himself alive and entertained? Thats rather lame for such an awesome guy.
- I personally can’t imagine him wanting to destroy or conquer the realms because he can do that rather easily, so where’s the fun? Where’s the struggle?
- But at the same time, if that’s not what he’s doing, what threat does Zalgo present?
Don’t get me wrong, I love him as he is <3 but this just bothers me sometimes.

I have a handful of HCs about LJ and Zalgo's relationship [kinda spearheaded by a campaign I DM] but the only one I will elaborate on is that Zalgo likes to invite over LJ because he can't accidentally infect him and he's deeply lonely. However he has to keep up appearances so he always invites him over on some bs like "talking about The City's economy"
However LJ doesn't get the hint and actually discusses with him about said bs.

The less you know, the safer you are. The second you hear of him, even in passing, it's over. You'll start to notice things that seem odd once in a great while. They'll be few and far bet ween, but every time it happens, that's a bit more exposure to Zalgo. The same goes with mentioning him, or even thinking of it.
He doesn't necessarily directly influence humans himself, but rather the world around them. Just because he finds it amusing. The corruption of biological life is just a side effect of his actions, but he doesn't really care and if anything uses that to his advantage, spreading more chaos and carnage in his wake.
If someone or something were to become Zalgofied, it's actually a quite slow process as it's usually the result of cumulative exposure to the corruption. It's like… One would go from being relatively unaffected and only noticing a weird drawing or two or some corrupted text, to seeing it more often and thinking "Heh, Zalgo" and being a bit confused after the fact, to… full-scale something being noticeably wrong. Only after that point is when the physical effects start to set in, such as the blackening of eyes, warping of flesh, etc. Eventually, you b̶ec̵om̵e̵ o̴̓n̸̮̈́e ̶͍̳͗̋w̸̛i̴̙̤̽t̷͉̓͒ͅh̷͈̀ ̷̫̑t̷̕͝ͅh̴̡͝͝ȇ̸ ̷̭̠͐H̵̞͐̎ï̵̗̯ṽ̴̰͛ë̴̺́́ ̵̼̼͂̃M̶̜̒ĩ̵̱̚ņ̵̣̈́̐d̶͉̈́͐.̵̻̿
If he were to take on a human form, it wouldn't seem... Correct. There would be some major unplaceable uncanny valley energy, despite looking and seeming completely normal. He'd wear either a t-shirt and sweatpants and not give a shit, or the fanciest, nicest looking suit he could. There'd be no in-between. He also speaks every language, except he has a completely different voice for each language as well. Each different voice used to belong to something or someone that became part of the Hive Mind.
He doesn't need a Costco membership card. He'd just be able to go in if he felt like it, convincing the workers due to funny mind control that he DOES have one, despite clearly not having one.
Zalgo defies the laws of physics, holding quite literally a dead star / black hole. Somehow, he is completely unaffected by it. He's everywhere, yet nowhere. Just some eldritch, cosmic entity.
He also resides in some alternate dimension beyond our known universe. Despite this, he is able to see and interact with everything, the "glass" walls of his realm acting as a touch-screen window to anywhere, should he choose to do something.
He once corrupted an entire planet lightyears away from Earth. It ended up in a similar state to the planet TrES-2b, except it constantly emits a radio signal that if tuned into sounds like the agonized screams of the damned. Not much else is known about it though, as the scientists who discovered this began to experience the symptoms of an unknown illness, their ears bleeding, and starting to ramble on in seemingly gibberish. Only a few of them were able to remain coherent enough to report their findings, although shortly after they too fell strangely ill.
This is a silly one, but strangely enough, pizza rolls in a large enough quantity can be used as an offering to buy yourself just a bit more time. For reasons only known to him, he likes them.
Another silly one, but he thinks that human souls taste exactly like marshmallows when consumed.

The types of people Slenderman will go After for Love, Friendship and Murder.
Love:
Slenderman prefers quiet people with deep minds and plenty of intriguing thoughts. Whenever you’re chatty or quiet doesn’t make a difference. He is a mind reader and can tell exactly what you’re thinking. So, in many ways, he will know his darling to a great extent early on. To him, a dating is less about getting to know who you are, but rather seeing how you change. As a being that has existed for centuries, it is hard for many to keep up with his way of thinking and living; his darling needs to be an exception to that rule.
The types of people that interest him the most are those who like to question the world they live in. He has seen human society change throughout countless generations and has a long set of thoughts and options about how you all live. Plenty of them are not so favourable.
At the same time his lover must have reactions that he finds pleasing. You freaking out about him reading your mind? Adorable.
Unlike disgust, this reaction does not leave him with any negative feelings, in fact, it makes him feel more confident. He is the predator. You are the prey.
It is essential that his potential partner respects the land they walk on. Slender protects the forest he resides in; he does not want a loved one who is willing to destroy things he values. At the same time, the act of disrespecting the world one’s survival depends on is deeply unacceptable to him.
Friendship:
Slender does not have friends.
Acquaintances, business partners and subordinates however play a part in his life. And so do his family members.
As a busy slender being he does not have the time to make friends. But that isn’t an issue to him, for friendship is not something he desires.
Although he is not opposed to the idea, it’s just not something that happens to him often. His circle has always been small if not non-existent and even then, he was betrayed.
Though, maybe in a sense, it is to be expected. Slender has always been a creature of routine, habit and forethought while Zalgo, his ex-friend, and current enemy is a creature of chaos. Forces that do not go together – like water and oil.
Murder:
Slenderman prefers to make his lackeys deal with any minor issues that come up, so he does little killing himself. When he murders, he does so to prevent them from threatening his way of life or for work purposes.
You can think of him as the ultimate final boss, most won’t ever get to encounter.
Almost all of the work is carried out by the proxies who patrol the surrounding area. Slender usually does not have to interfere with their work. Humans are a lot weaker than his workers therefore he expects them to deal with them swiftly. He only interferes when things get risky, for example, if a big group comes in.
Slender doesn’t really choose his victims, if he does not kill with the intention of defending his manor, he does so for work. Since the early days, powerful people both within the human realm and the underworld have approached his organization to quietly deal with their enemies.
