Yes, I changed their names, just to fit the sonic universe, the shoes were a pain to make unique and creative so, sorry if the shoes are shat, also ignore the fact that the yellow for Charlie is just half, my marker was on her life line

Since DTI is coming to an end. I wanted to ask some questions, like a ✨end of the series interview ✨
Which chapter outta the entire series was you’re favorite?
Which chapter was the most stressful to write? (Even though , I’m pretty sure all of them would be)
Which chapter made you the most emotional?
What are some of the songs that inspired the DTI series?
And which chapter was you most scared to publish?

Now, you've read the series, so you know being short isn't my strong suit lol, but I'll do my best! :) But, you're getting multiple answers for most of them. lol
1) Which chapter was my favorite:
I have a few, for different reasons.
Chapter 6 - Because I was really happy with the way Tobias confessing his feelings for Casey to Bryce turned out. Some of the wording just hit and when my friend said I warmed even her cold heart, I knew I did well. lol I also love the bromance between Bryce and Tobias in this (and other) chapters.
Chapter 13 - Yes... that chapter. The Ethan/Casey breakup It hurt like HELL but I was really proud that I was able to evoke the emotions I wanted to. It felt raw, but it needed to.
Chapter 18 - The Girls Night Out - Tobias FREAKING out because he didn't think his surprise out too well - him WIGGING out about it to Bryce - Casey coming home drunk and making an ass out of herself and Tobias teasing her mercilessly about it - VIVIAN was introduced (that is the #1 reason this is a favorite) - and the scene where Tobias tricks Casey and she mortified herself in front of his mother. I loved this chapter!
Chapter 22A - I loved Chapter 22A & B - B was more romantic, but I think the part I liked most about this was the dance at the Holiday Party. I was just really pleased with how it turned out. But 22B was a close runner-up!
2) Which chapter was most stressful to write?
Chapter 4 - Mostly because it was the first time I ever wrote smut and I nearly had a nervous breakdown hitting "post". Seriously, I was sweating lol
Chapter 13 - It gutted me. It was the first time I wrote anything this painful, and it really impacted me.
Chapter 34 - This was just beginning to end angst, and there was not one person who was spared pain in this chapter. Even Sonia - who is usually a bright spot - was too worried to provide much light. This one hurt.
3) Which chapter made me the most emotional?
Chapter 11 - Watching Ethan devolve from a grown man to a little boy who was abandoned again, him lashing out at the 2 people who loved him most, Casey taking the train home alone when he banishes her, Tobias being there to pick up the pieces, knowing how much he loves her and can't say a word... offfhhh.
Chapter 13 - The lead-up where Casey is returning to the apartment and believing she can make things better, and we know what's awaiting her. Ethan's mind lying to him and him believing it. The breakup... "You need to get over me because I already have (gotten over you)" I mean, I know they're fictional, but that HURT. And when Casey left the apartment and kept thinking he would follow her. Then the realization hits... he's not. This was painful.
Chapter 22B - I'm a romantic... jaded, but a romantic nevertheless... at heart. Seeing Casey and Tobias come to fruition was very emotional. When he realized she knew, her being the first to say it after how long he loved her... I got goosebumps.
Chapter 34 - Again, it killed me. Casey's pain. The moment Ethan realized he was loved. Tobias running to be with the two people he loves the most... and hearing Casey's words. You could feel his world shatter. Then their break up at the end. I felt anguished for both of them, all while we're not sure if Ethan is going to survive. Do you see why I needed some time after... lol
4) What are some songs that inspired Delaying the Inevitable?
I have a playlist for Delaying the Inevitable, I'll share the link below. But certain songs really stick out, and there are a few that I don't think I'll ever be able to hear without associating it with this story.
Not In That Way - Sam Smith - This just captured the way Tobias felt about Casey in the beginning, the unrequited love is just captured so beautifully here.
Half a Man - Dean Lewis and The Scientist - Coldplay - Both remind me of Ethan.. half a man after the breakup when he knows how broken he is, but he can't help himself. The Scientist reminds me of the aftermath when he knows he made a mistake, but it may be too late.
She Used to Be Mine - Sara Bareilles (Waitress) - Hear me out - this isn't ENTIRELY Casey if you listen to the lyrics... but the essence is. About someone who has been through a lot and looks back and wonders how it got there.
Now... the biggies.... these songs will forever take me back to this series:
Break My Heart Again - Finneas - In this fic we assume Ethan left for the Amazon without telling Casey and it broke her heart; she gave him another chance and he broke her heart even harder. Also, Louise left Ethan at 12 and stole his childhood, then she came back and he felt whole, and she left again and she destroyed him. "It must be nice to love someone who lets you break them twice." Other lines in the song that just resonate with the story "Are you the definition of insanity, or am I?" and "Don't pretend that I'm the instigator, you were the one but you were born to say goodbye." PAIN.
To Make You Feel My Love - Adele - This is forever Tobias & Casey's song. Not in their HC (though it fits there too) but in this series. I can't put significant lyrics because the entire song is really the way Tobias felt for Casey. He was so desperately in love with her, she was his unattainable friend who was in love with his other friend, but he would do anything for her. Seriously, if you don't know the lyrics, check them out... "there's nothing that I wouldn't do, to make you feel my love."
Till Forever Falls Apart - Ashe & Finneas - So many people think this is a traditional love song - and that drives me insane - it's a sad love song. It's I have loved and lost, and I'm glad it happened, but it's over. And, as beautiful as that can be, it's also the most gut-wrenching human emotion. This is Chapter 34. Casey & Ethan, Casey & Tobias, it captures them both. Each were relationships that appeared destined for forever, until they weren't.

This is Chapter 35. I won't speak about it now since the chapter is not out yet, but... yeah.

5) Which chapter was I most scared to publish?
Chapter 1 - because I had never written fanfic before and I was terrified to do post it.
Chapter 4 - first time I ever wrote smut - and I wanted to die. lol
Chapter 13 - Because it was PAINFUL and I was worried about getting major hate (and I did) from the Ethan or die fans.
Chapter 22 B - Because I was worried about getting major hate (and I did) from the Ethan or die fans.
Chapter 34 - Because it HURT.
But.... none scare me more than Chapter 35. BUT since I'm more used to this now, I am more prepared. I know that, in the end, the person who has to be happiest with the story is me. :) So that makes it easier.
