Mari comes in from her last cigarette of the night, locking the front door behind her and turning off the lights before making her way upstairs. She stops on the way to her room, her eyes catching an unusual ray of light from beneath Yuuri’s door.
It’s relatively late by her standards, which means it’s even later by her athlete of a little brother’s, especially after he’s just come home from a competition and is still dealing with the infamous West to East jetlag.
She purses her lips and tries to decide what to do.

Hero Reform Chapter 41 Spoilers With No Context
Hey guys. It's a me, Mario. I'm back, sorta. Life kicked me in the butt for a very long time, and tbh, it's still kind of kicking my butt, but I'm getting used to it. I'm gonna try my best to start posting again and, unfortunately for you guys, this is the first one you get to read after my hiatus :DDDD
(I swear the horribleness of this upcoming chapter has NOTHING to do with my own situation, this was written eons ago lolol)
This chapter has all the content warnings so I'll be sure to put those in the beginning notes on AO3. For safe measure, I think I'll put a brief summary in the end notes if the vibes are too much for you, a reader who jumped on board for a fluffy hero fic and got ANGST OUT THE WAZOO INSTEAD. This just may be the most upsetting one yet, so I apologize in advance. BUT, there will be some hardcore family time fluff in the next one. And by "in" the next chapter, I DO mean the entire chapter will be fluffy and feel good. After that, there'll be another fluffy chapter although there is a dash of angst thrown in there. Yuuri Katsuki's Guide [by @quirmzi] is,,, a servant-Yuuri AU in which he's the one responsible for raising Yurio from birth. Yurio is still a tiny, unfettered demon of a two-year-old, and he's hilarious and amazing and I can see him growing into Yurio Plisetsky from canon and his,,, Issues.
Yuuri's narration is smooth and beautiful, just like his Eros skate actually, and... gods I just. This is beautiful. There's something effervescent about the way it shows what he does - both his openly-servant duties and the more... morally gray movements - and the duality of his actions is just written amazingly.
