Hey Ark, I'm trying to find a tweet or post explaining how DSOD most likely had no impact on Arc-V's story and writing or budget beyond some animators, but I can't seem to find it. Do you that info somewhere?

But basically, you can notice this from what was going on when the movie was being promoted and the staff rolls:

Katsumi Ono directed ARC-V. Mr. Kuwabara from ZEXAL directed The Dark Side of Dimensions.

The script writer for DSOD was Takahashi-sensei himself, while ARC-V was overseen by Kamishiro Tsutomu.

A lot of major animators for DSOD were basically retired or former Gallop staff who had quit or moved onto new jobs, who came back as one last hurrah for a show they loved working on, to get the gang back together for One Last Job.

Also, DSOD probably had its own independent budget, since it's a movie, was Takahashi's pet project and basically had corporate cross promotion deals out the wazoo for promo cards.

That's why I suspect most of ARC-V falling apart was a director and/or series composition/direction (i.e. roughly head of the writer's room) problem, as most of the contentious content was in episodes written by the head writer of ARC-V.

Like there was some staff cross over and some friends and old contacts of mine did note there was a slight dip in animation for ARC-V here and there, ultimately for such a long lasting studio, they should be able to handle the workload, when most of people's grief with ARC-V is the choices in writing decisions.

Hey guys what's up its day 40 of 365 and the second day of my anime series. Today's look is inspired by my favorite monster in all of #yugioh the #darkmagician He's the most powerful spell caster and I always wanted to be like him when I grew up lol. Honestly I wanted to base this look off my favorite representation of him so I did the most commonly known one seen in the anime. I designed this jack with the zipper hidden on the right side seam so it looks like a pull over, I also embroidered the sleeves to give it more of a magician's touch. Paired it with a forest green tunic, some light purple pants, and a pair of black boots. He's ready to cast any spell and deflect any attack. "What if Digimon Adventure Last Evolution Kizuna wasn't hostilely at odds with the rest of the franchise"

It has a bunch of silly retcons regarding the Prana and Shadi, but it never actively gets hostile with the messaging of the original series. And is generally continuing Mr. Takahashi's tracks on growing, maturing, aging, and how one can toxically handle or fail to handle death.

It's overall a fun big anniversary film and is respectful to the original material, all things considered.
