Ryomen Sukuna was rather anxious while lying on the floor of your living room. “I have to make sure I do this right. This is Lucifer’s thing. Not mine. If the ritual is interrupted, you’d be put to sleep too.” Your eyes scanned the pages that were filled with the scratch marks of creatures before you and recited things in a language that Sukuna couldn’t understand. With every word that left your mouth, he felt the presence of the boy would vanish without a trace.

“And, we’re done.”

Sukuna heard the soft growl of the demonic book as it closed itself and fell to the floor. He sat up and you stood as well.

“Can you put everything back for me, please?” You asked politely before hearing a standard “Yeah, whatever.” from him.

You went to the kitchen, as you had plans to bake that brownie mix you had got last week from the grocery store. As you did your hand motion to summon Gnaar, you noticed that the little demon didn’t appear. You frowned before doing it again.

Still, no imp assistant.

You sighed and left the kitchen to look for him manually but, of course, you were intercepted by Sukuna. His masculine arms linked themselves around your waist, trapping you in his grip so that you couldn’t move. He didn’t say a word and only lowered his head into the crook of your neck. Sukuna also realized that your aura was different. For a moment, it felt as though he had lost his mind. Whether you knew it or not, your physical form had cursed energy. It was the kind of energy that could suffocate him if he weren’t careful…now, it seems as though it’s hidden itself inside of your body.

No…it was gone.

It couldn’t be. How can a Goddess just disappear? This had to be an imposter pretending to be you. Of course, that made him angry. Only fools would toy with his emotions this way and feel as though they can get away with it.

“R-Ryo?” You raised an eyebrow when you felt his body stiffen. It took him a moment to reply, but when he did, he wasn’t himself.

“Don’t tell me I’ve been played with this entire time.”

You blinked. “Oh…” You pursed your lips. ‘I suppose it’s time I tell him.’

You sighed softly. “I’m not a copy of myself if that’s what you think. My powers have been somewhat…unstable since I’ve been resurrected. I guess they’re just gone completely…for now.” As you explained, his eyes grew wider and wider. “What? Why is that?” He replied.

“Those sorcerers who exercised me…I think they had help from Adam. Mortal powers typically do not affect me.” You told him. Your face held a subtle frown. He couldn’t tell why but it made him…feel bad. You’ve always been so high and mighty, never needing anyone else, not even him. And suddenly, one day, it was gone. Temporarily, mind you, but still gone, nonetheless.

But, seemingly out of nowhere, he felt a sense of pride. He remembered all the things you’d say to him. You loved referring to him as little because his power was nothing compared to yours but now…you were the little one. Well, littler than you already were.

“Looks like you have no choice but to depend on me.” His neutral face turned into a twisted grin. You knitted your eyebrows together. “Don’t get any ideas. This is serious. Adam could come at any time and you’re not nearly strong enough.”

“You worry too much about that scumbag…” Although he was concerned for you, there was no getting rid of his amused tone as he fully began to understand just how helpless you were in this situation. To be honest, he wasn’t worried about Adam, but he’d never tell you that.

“...but, it looks like you don’t have a choice. Meaning that from now on, you’ll be taking orders from me.”

At first, you expected Sukuna to refer to something vile…but his wants were rather simple. It was probably the most innocent thing ever that could come from him. hello! i recently discovered your page and I absolutely adore the way you write!!! It has a lot of dedication and its so perfect and I get rlly excited when i read and there is a lot of detail aaaah so cool! :D haha btw, sorry to bother you with this but im an amateur in the writing community and dunno exactly how to start, any tips for when you're feeling uninspired? and how to change that? hope you have a nice day or night or afternoon!!! (i don’t speak fluent english, srry if i didn’t make myself clear D:)

hihihi!! first off, thank you so much for your kind words. they mean the world to me! secondly, your english is so good! i understood perfectly :)

to answer your question, i usually give myself time to think. i usually start by listening to music and see if anything that comes up inspires me. and if not, i give myself a couple of days to breathe and do others things that need my attention. sometimes, all you need is time to yourself. i personally looovveeee to take long showers so that’s the place i go whenever i need to destress from thinking too much about my writers block. i also allow some time for myself before going to bed or just throughout the day just so i can relax. writing can be really taxing and it’s nice to give yourself a much needed and deserved break.

i also reward myself with naps all the time lol. it’s another thing that helps me refocus.

but the main things i do to try to get inspired is listen to music and see where my imagination takes me or see where the lyrics take me. certain songs can invoke certain feelings which could lead to certain ideas. it may not be the thing for everybody but i would recommend trying it out if you’re up for it.

tiktok also helps me sometimes lol. my fyp is full of avatar edits and sometimes, they’re just so good that i get inspired to write a prompt or it encourages me to continue writing one of my wip’s. it’s kinda hard to explain but it just works for me, it’s so weird.

you also have to be sure that whatever you’re writing is something that you want to write. there have been many times were i think of a plot and begin to write it but then completely scrap it later because my heart was no longer into it anymore. and that’s completely okay to do! writing is a process and if that includes almost finishing a whole fic and then deciding that it is no longer something that you want to finish or like anymore, then that’s totally fine. everyone has their own writing styles and how they go about writing, so don’t feel ashamed for doing whatever you need to do in order to write.

I’m writing this for Rid 10 minutes after reading CMI 11 omg how dare Rid to play with my feelings like this 😭 I have so many favourite moments in this chapter okay lets go —

1. JK calling her baby constantly “Baby, babe, my baby, angel” yes im so weak for this shit🤯

2. Girlfriend - Boyfriend 🥳🥳🥳 fucking finally!!!

3. So so so proud of my baby oc standing up to her mum!! Bring it on! Though i hope down the story that they’ll reconcile!! Just like what cmi jk said, i think deep down her parents do love her. Its not just enough or maybe shown in different ways. Even parents and children irl have different love languages. But I want this to happen for them. I know they are at peace but having both their families by their side as they go through their relationship will be so reassuring and special ❤️

4. Mama Jeon 🥹 I feel like oc will get the love and comfort she craves from a mother from JK’s mum 😭 i already love her character!! And when Jk called her “Mama” I FREAKIN SWOONED

5. My favourite part of all this madness was the pregnancy scare. JK looking for her all over and his panic state, crying and his line “I’m gonna kill someone if I don’t find her..” oh my heart broke because he just wants to know she’s okay and she’s safe. It is sad truly that his first thought was he fucked up, when he didn’t. If I were JK, I would think its oc who did something wrong but I’m not wired like cmi JK, i have evil thoughts and trust issues 😐🤣

6. When oc said “You’ll leave me, because you’ll be mad.” I just wanna hug her so bad :( the trauma of people leaving and her experience of jk leaving her the first time 😭😭😭 my heart broke for the both of them tbh :((

7. I understand oc’s fear. Things are just looking up in both their careers and they are only starting their relationship. Not saying a baby is unwanted and will jeopardise what they have atm, but the arrival of a little one will surely change some things. BUT I WANT A LITTLE ONE SOON! A mini oc to give jk a heart attack 😌😌

8. The way jk reassured her - how you wrote jk seeing her face and he just rushed to her and hugged her without knowing what the heck was going on. 😢

Ahh I'm the request anon and I missed your pinned post, I'm a bit slow sometimes hehe😴

If it inspires you, a fic where dottore and reader's relationship is like Morticia and Gomez'.

He treats reader like a total queen, never says a bad word, says some corny but romantic shit and he's not scared to do that even in front of others, his reputation is solid enough to do whatever he wants.

Somebody asks him a question? He turns his lovestruck gaze from reader towards the person, with 100% irritation and coldness. And after that he comes back, lovestruck as before, kissing reader's knuckles and whispering some concerning things that only they find exciting.

(props if reader is a kind sweetheart but in private also has a thing for unethical experiments)

Would you believe me if I told you I thought about this before?? I have a soft spot for the whole 'omg evil man who only does good for his beloved' !! I have been putting it off until we learn more about dottore tho hehe

Because at this point I am not sure if it lines up with his personality? The part I struggle with is picturing Dottore actually fall in love with someone and what their personality would be in a lot of my thoughts like,,,on one hand I don't want the reader to be a carbon copy of the man but on the other hand I don't want them to be so different Dottore cannot feel anything for them ??? HE IS SO HARD TO WRITE FOR AND ITS ANNOYING!! And yes, I could make up a reason and a story but I prefer for them to be in character as much as possible.

This idea is so CUTE tho like Dottore saying something corny and romantic in public just to annoy the reader?? And then busts out actual romantic lines that would make anyone swoon in private? And the whole 'why is the boss so happy today? WAIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN SOMEONE LOVES HIM??? is he,,,is he carrying flowers and is that a flower language book on his desk??? QUICKLY SLAP ME RN THIS MUST BE A DREAM !!" and don't you try to ask Dottore anything when he is talking to the person he loves??? Do you wish to become part tomato? But your idea is even better than cus from what I have read: Morticia and Gomez's relationship was written in such a way that it started with a question "They're such an odd family so they must do everything differently from regular humans. Regular humans HATE their WIVES SO!! to make it all creepy what can we do? Make this man obsessed with her!! That will show just how different they are!!" and honestly it seems like a great paradox of trying to make Dottore even more evil but ending up with a loving, stable and devoted lover??? I do think that after all this time only love can redeem Dottore if and when they do his character arc. Nothing else comes to mind honestly. It isn't like they HAVE to redeem him but if they don't I am afraid he won't be playable.....

As in regards to your question the answer is: as soon as I see the possibility of writing Dottore as such - I am going to take it and run because I am obsessed with that man !!

i jus wanted to lyk that reading coming home has inspired me to start writing fanfics again after 6 years 🥹 from beginning to end, your story was incredibly well-planned and thought out, with conflict and resolution developing so organically. so i was wondering if you are comfortable, could you possibly share with us your general thought process for planning out and developing such amazing plots?

Hi! Thank you so so much, that means the absolute word to me 🥹❤️and I’m so happy it’s inspired you to start writing again, that’s amazing!

I usually have one big main plot point come to me (so with Coming Home, it was Y/N returning to Velaris after years of being away and having some sort of tension with Azriel). When that first idea came to me, I didn’t know what that tension would be, who she would be to Az or the Inner Circle or anyone, I just had that main reunion and then kind of vaguely had ideas surrounding it that I may or may not want to use. I write them all down and some get used and some don’t. With Coming Home, I really didn’t know what was going to happen chapter to chapter so it was always a bit of surprise to me how it evolved while I was writing 🤣

One thing I find that really helps me is that I sometimes write purely dialogue before I write the scene properly. So with that first conversation between Az and Y/N on the balcony on the night of her return, I free-wrote the dialogue before anything else…and it kind of just evolved like a normal conversation. That helped me a lot to create more of a backstory and discover more of the tension between the two of them and get an idea of their dynamic, where it fits into the Inner Circle and their history. So it might not work for everyone, but I cannot express enough how it helps me to just have bits of dialogue written down between the characters that I can then build a setting/scene/backstory around. The argument with Rhys was another scene that just started out as dialogue!

I tend to just write everything down (or make a note of it in my phone), and if I use something — great, and if I don’t — that’s fine too, maybe I’ll use it in a different scene or even a different story! And make sure you’re enjoying the process, because that’s the most important bit ❤️
