I wanna do a collection of one shots about the Madrigal kids and their parents when they were all little - inspired by my hc that Isabela got herself tangled up in her vines CONSTANTLY when she was little because I need that in my life.
If any of you guys have any suggestions for chapters - like for any of the kiddos and their gifts or just funny moments within the family, let me know. I would be happy to do them :)

I'm not all that happy with how this came out since I drew it at work, so I could only work with what I had at the time, but I had this stuck in my head for months now.

Bebé's First Beach Day
I wrote this before I lost my mind. I figured my last post for a while should be fluff, so enjoy some Madrigal fluff. Work in progress. Maybe.
Summary:
Thanks to Camilo, little Mirabel's first day at the beach does not go according to plan
Julieta stood in the middle of the bathroom, trying to wrangle her usually mild-mannered toddler into standing still so she could put sunscreen on her soft, delicate skin. Mirabel had been giddy with excitement all morning.
They'd taken a much needed week-long vacation to mamá's beach house in Cartagena. The whole family had come, which basically meant complete and utter chaos. But it would be completely and totally worth it. The house was beautiful. Right on the beach, it featured not one, but two hot tubs, a pool, 6 bedrooms, a fitness room, and a very spacious kitchen (which Julieta was absolutely not excited about at all, not at all.) The whole family was excited. Luisa, Isabela, and Agustín had been hyping Mirabel up all week.
Agustín was especially excited for this particular trip. It was Mira's first trip to the beach. The rest of the family had gone a few months prior, but Mirabel had been sick that week, so they all stayed home, much to Isa and Lu's (and Agustin’s) chagrin.
Agustín absolutely loves the beach. He loved taking Isa in the water for the first time, and after that it sort of became a rite of passage, for him to take all of their babies in the water for the first time. He absolutely loved hearing their squeals of excitement and pure joy. It filled Julieta with such happiness and pride to see how amazing he was with their babies; his patience, his unconditional love, and his easy going goofiness were some of the things she loved most about him.
Shaking herself out of her thoughts, Julieta tickled little Mira's tummy and tried to pull her closer.
"Mira, bebita, stand still, please! Mamí needs to put this on your face so you don't burn!"
Mirabel looked adorable in her little two piece swimsuit, a white and turquoise set with ruffled edges and cute cartoonish butterflies. Her little white sandals were waiting by the door. Julieta knew Mirabel wouldn't last long in them, but she couldn't help it. They were so cute, and she knew they'd look even cuter on her little bebita.
Mira took both of her chubby little hands, and cupped her Mamí's cheeks with them.
"Face!"
"Yes, bebita, I need to put this on your face, so your pretty skin doesn't burn!"
"Mamá face pretty!"
Julieta didn't think she could fall more in love with this child, but here she was. Pressing their foreheads together, she attacked Mirabel's little face with kisses. The little girls' laughter rang through the house like the sweetest song.

Food for thought is love to see explored/explore myself.
Agustin is such an underrated character (in fanfics at least) This man has such angst potential, being labeled as an outsider of the Encanto, though I’m not sure if that’s cannon or just accepted as a collective head cannon.
With that interpretation, he really is the best person to give an outside perspective of the miracle. Agustin, though it may have been brief, has lived without magic before. He knows how “ordinary” people work. And so, here’s Agustin. The Encanto, in my opinion, only lets in those who need protection as part of the magic. So now we have this most likely traumatized boy who learns to accept a town entirely built on magic, and the very same magic that rescued him warps into something that hurts the people he love by placing insane pressures on them he’s never experienced.
A fic I absolutely adore. Madrigal-In-laws by Kseda on AO3, highlights this a bit with a deep dive into how his family possibly got there, but I just feel like this concept should be explored so much more. The clumsy aspect of Agustin is often highlighted, turning him more into a comedic figure when he has this potential to bring a lot of new thought into the community.
Thank you for listening to my Ted talk. I have no self control so if anyone wants to talk about this further with me it will likely become it’s own short fic.

Idk what you'll think about this idea so u don't have to do this but but but how about a mostly fluff fic where either Dolores or Felix is crying, Pepa finds them/they go to Pepa and she comforts them?
I love that idea! Hope you like this!
“Dinner is almost ready; can you let everyone know?” Julieta requested.
“Of course.” Pepa left the kitchen to round up the others. Félix was the first person she ran into. He held a giggling, squirmy Camilo in his arms. “Dinner’s ready,” she let him know. “Hola, Camilo,” she cooed, trailing a finger tenderly along his chubby cheek, and smiling at his resulting giggle.
“Excellent.” Félix grinned, shifting Camilo to his other side to give Pepa a kiss. “Do you want me to tell the others?”
“Yes, that would be great.”
But ultimately, it wasn’t necessary. Isabela and Luisa had come in from playing outside, both adorned with flower crowns shedding petals on the ground.
“Tío! Tía!” They cried out excitedly, running up to them and throwing their little arms around them. Isabela’s hug was gentle and sweet, much like she was. Luisa, in her enthusiasm, ended up lifting Pepa right off the ground. Poor thing was still getting the hang of her gift.
It caught her by surprise. “Easy, Lu,” she reminded her gently when she saw that Luisa was turning towards Félix. While she didn’t mind Luisa picking her up, she didn’t think it was a good idea for her to do that to Félix while he was holding the baby.
“Okay, tía.” Luisa nodded solemnly. She wrapped her arms around her tío delicately, snuggling into him as he ruffled her hair playfully. “Hola, tío.” She smiled up at Camilo, who was examining her curiously. “Hola, Milo.”
“Lulu,” he burbled happily. “Isa!” He flapped his tiny arms around in joy.
“I think someone’s happy to see his primas.” Pepa beamed over at them. Rays of sunlight illuminated the five of them.
Isabela preened at the comment. “But I’m his favorite prima, right?”
Luisa frowned. “No, I am.”
“No, I am!”
They began to bicker about which of the two of them was Camilo’s favorite. Secretly, Pepa knew they were both wrong. Camilo’s real favorite had just entered the room, secure in her father’s arms and nuzzling into his chest.
“Did I hear something about dinner?” Agustín asked with a grin.
“Yes, dinner’s ready.” Pepa smiled at him and Mirabel, who was examining the room in her usual studious way, taking in every detail. Whereas Camilo was rambunctious and energetic, she was calmer; preferring to observe rather than act. After giving Mirabel a soft kiss on the cheek, she did a mental head count and came up short. Someone was missing.
“Where’s Dolores?” Her eyes scanned the room as if her daughter was hiding somewhere, to no avail. All she could see at child level were Isabela and Luisa chasing each other around the room, their fight quickly forgotten.
“I’m not sure.” Félix shrugged.
“Isa?” Pepa turned to her older sobrina.
Her eyebrows knitted together in thought. “I haven’t seen her since we got home from school.”
Pepa sighed. That was the last time she’d seen Dolores too, and it was several hours ago. Things had been so busy with Camilo that sometimes their quiet Dolores slipped through the cracks. She needed to be a better mother. “Okay, I’m going to go find her. The rest of you, go to dinner.”
The last thing she heard as she walked away was Luisa piping up that they needed to find tío Bruno too and tell him about dinner so he wouldn’t be hungry. Right. Bruno had been missing too. But he had a habit of disappearing for long stretches of time before popping back up. Dolores’ absence was more worrisome.
Figuring the best place to start looking would be in Dolores’ room, Pepa headed up the stairs. She paused at the door, hesitant to enter. Instead, she put her ear to the door and listened. Soft sobs filtered through the door. No longer hesitating, she threw open the door to see Dolores curled up on the floor next to her bed. Her hands covered her ears, and she hugged her knees as she cried.
Pepa’s heart shattered into a million pieces. She hated to see either of her children cry. “What’s wrong, querida?” She sank down on the ground next to Dolores.
It took the girl a couple tries to get out her reply. “It… it’s too much, mamá.”
“What’s too much?” She brushed fallen curls out of her daughter’s face.
Dolores’ hands stayed firmly over her ears. “It’s too loud,” she sniffled, huddling further into herself.
Oh… Dolores’ gift had been ultrasensitive hearing. Pepa knew that sometimes it could be a bit overwhelming for her, but she didn’t realize the extent to which this was true. “Oh, Lola…” She pulled Dolores into her chest, cradling her and swaying her back and forth gently. “I’m sorry, mi vida, I didn’t realize we were being so loud. We’ll be quieter”
Dolores shook her head. “It’s not that. I mean, okay, it would probably help a little, but…” She trailed off, wiping her snotty nose on her sleeve.
“But…” Pepa prompted her.
“It’s too loud. All the time. Doesn’t matter what’s going on, I can hear everything.”
“Everything?” Pepa knew her hearing was good, but not that good.
“Everything,” Dolores confirmed. “People talking and doing chores, animals eating, things breaking…” She paused to breathe. “When it’s really quiet, I can hear the river flowing. Otherwise, I mostly hear people making all kinds of noise. I hear my primas when they play, even if it’s not at home. I hear Camilo crying at night. I hear people when they get really mad and argue. They’re always louder then.” Dolores shuddered. “I hear everything all the time, mamá, and I don’t know how to make it stop.” She looked at her mother, pleading with her to fix it. “Make it stop, mamá.”
Pepa sighed, holding onto her extra tightly. She was still young enough to have the unwavering belief that her parents could fix anything; that she could come to them with any problem, and they would be able to come up with a solution. But this was a problem she didn’t know how to solve. Dolores’ amazing hearing was her gift from the miracle, but the way she described it, it sounded more like a curse. Not being able to turn off your gift and suffering as a result struck Pepa as all too familiar, and she didn’t want her daughter to suffer the same way she had. “Oh, mi amor…I wish I could help…” Admitting that out loud made her feel powerless, and she could feel her own emotions starting to rise. Clear skies, clear skies…
Dolores sniffled, her big brown eyes boring into Pepa. “Isa gets to choose when she uses her gift. So does Luisa. Why can’t I? Why can’t I turn it off?”
Hearing that caused Pepa’s anger to bubble up to barely containable levels. Why was that the case? Why did her daughter have to suffer, while her sobrinas got to enjoy their gifts at will and not be bothered otherwise? It wasn’t fair. “Your gift is different from theirs,” she murmured into Dolores’ hair, taking care to keep her voice low. “It’s more powerful.”
Dolores sighed. “I like being able to hear a lot, most of the time, but sometimes I just want it all to stop. I don’t want to hear everything all the time.”
Now Pepa’s emotions were getting harder to control. Her daughter was hurting, and she couldn’t help her. All she could do was keep holding her and comforting her, but it wasn’t enough. What she wanted was to make her daughter’s pain stop, and she couldn’t do that. “I’m sorry, Dolores, I really am…I wish I could do something to help,” she whispered, feeling like a complete idiot. What kind of a useless mother was she, that she couldn’t even help her own daughter? Soon enough, a small cloud cast a shadow on the two of them. No no no, not now, not rain, please…
Dolores turned her head curiously towards the cloud. “Are you sad, mamá?”
Pepa just nodded. She couldn’t lie to her. “I am.” She pushed aside some of Dolores’ voluminous curls to press a kiss to her head.
“Why are you sad?” Dolores looked at her with concern.
Pepa choked back a sob. Here she was, failing to comfort her daughter and instead she was now worried about her mother. Meanwhile, she hadn’t managed to help her, Dolores was still suffering, and the injustice of it all made her boil over. Thunder began to rumble lowly around them. Great. She squeezed her eyes shut, cursing herself for her own stupid lack of control, when she’d had her gift for thirty years.
Dolores’ eyes widened at the sound. “What’s the matter, mamá?”
Pepa willed the tears to retreat, to not end up raining on Dolores when she’d already ruined everything with her thunder. “I’m sorry, Dolores…I’m so sorry. I’m sad because your gift is hurting you and I can’t do anything to help and instead I just made it worse with my thunder and-“ Pepa deflated, running out of breath.
“You didn’t.”
“I didn’t what?”
“You didn’t make it worse.”
Pepa couldn’t believe her ears. “What do you mean? I made it thunder.”
For the first time, Dolores loosened her hold on her ears. “I like the thunder. It’s… comforting?”
Pepa let out a harsh laugh. “Comforting?” That certainly wouldn’t be the first word she’d use to describe it.
Dolores paused to collect her thoughts. “Yeah, it’s not too loud, so it doesn’t hurt my ears, but it’s loud enough to block everything else out. It’s perfect.” She offered her mother a small smile.
Pepa could have cried from joy. Indeed, a few raindrops landed on the two of them. “I’m so glad I could help.”
Dolores snuggled into her chest, letting out a sigh of relief. “Thank you, mamá.”
“Anything for you, mi bebé.”
Dolores wrinkled her nose. “I’m not a baby, mamá. I’m a big girl,” she insisted. “Camilo’s the baby.”
Pepa let out a heart laugh. “You are, but you’ll always be mi bebé. Because I’m your mamá and I love you.”
Dolores rolled her eyes, but she kept smiling. “Can you keep the thunder going? Just for a little bit?”
Pepa was so focused on Dolores that she hadn’t even realized the thunder faded away. “Of course, mi rayo de sol.” She summoned up a low thrum of thunder, just enough to fill the space around them without becoming overwhelming.
Dolores’ thin arms snaked around her to give her a hug. “Thank you, mamá. This is nice.”
Pepa hummed contentedly. The quiet rhythmic rolling of the thunder was lulling both of them into a more relaxed state. “Do you want to just stay like this for a while?”
“I do.”
And they did, all the way through dinner, until Dolores finally fell asleep in her mother’s arms.

Encanto info from Jared Bush's Q&As
This is a little place where you can find (hopefully) a lot of info Jared has said in his Q&As. This is if you wanna check smth and don't wanna go on a hunt to confirm it since it's been so long. Idk if I got everything, I highly doubt I did, so if you have a piece of info I don't have and have a link to it, I can edit it on. Ngl I'm also kinda doing this for myself cuz I was curious to know everything he's told us. I'll mostly summarize the answer so it isn't longer than it needs to be, but I'll also copy+paste if I'm too lazy.
The info here kinda varies from interesting, to obvious stuff, to potentially pointless but really any of it can be used to do whatever.
Some of the answers he provided aren't concrete solid ("I think __ would happen", "I always thought ___", etc), so take this all with a grain of salt. I'll try to phrase the uncertain ones differently so you know they're not 100% (probably, possibly, might, etc). If the answer he gives is completely up to interpretation, then I won't include it. Some might be repeated cuz I don't feel like looking back to see if he answered the same question twice.
Just to warn you guys before you click "keep reading", this is a LONG post, so if you don't want it fill up your page, don't click it unless you really wanna read everything.
Antonio's Birthday Q&A #2 (5/21/23)
Canon universe:
Dolores never truly believed Bruno was still around. She heard stuff, but everyone told her he was gone, so she thought she was imagining things. "I knew he never left" was her way of saying "I shouldn't have doubted myself."
Antonio was a shy kid and animals are were easier for him to make friends with.
The potteries in Bruno's room were because it was fairly public for people who want visions, so they're probably a nod to that.
When Pedro went to the attackers when he died, he was planning to reason with them.
Luisa's associated with donkeys because they’re beasts of burden and that’s how everyone treated her.
Mirabel has her embroidery because she loves her family, but potentially also because she subconsciously want to make sure the villagers know despite having no gift she is every bit a Madrigal.
Isabela might potentially secretly like Pepa's chaos.
Julieta's really good at hiding her feelings about the pressure of being the town's healer, but she's also a naturally strong person.
There's a reason why Bruno's single but Jared didn't tell us.
Bruno's favorite food is Ajiaco, but potentially also big butt ants.
Julieta probably noticed Mirabel wasn't in the pic at Antonio's ceremony immediately after it was taken, but Mirabel had already left by then.
For a while, Bruno's limit for future seeing was until the fall of Castia, but now it's limitless.
Alma didn't necessarily approve of Agustín at first because he wasn't overly spectacular or confident.
Mirabel and Camilo got along well when they were young, but after Mirabel's ceremony, Camilo felt more pressure to perform and show off.
Even before his gift, Bruno probably worried and wondered about the future, which is what caused his gift.
The Madrigals mostly assumed Bruno had somehow left the Encanto after his disappearance.
The birth of the miracle happened near the turn of the 20th century, and Antonio's ceremony was 50 years later.
The 5th birthdays for the Madrigals is the big one. The others are "regular".
Camilo often annoys Isabela for fun and also because he's a bit envious of her. They're kinda opposite, perfect vs a clown.
The post-movie relationship between Mirabel and Isabela is probably mischevious.
Bruno probably already was breaking from pressure when Isabela was only in single digits.
Alma was loving to all her grandchildren, but sometimes it felt conditional due to her expectations. She wasn't self-aware enough to realize.
Félix can play the tiple, but not shown in the film.
Agustín and Félix probably wore their respective colors before marrying their respective wives. Their colors are also a nod to regionality.
Alma might've seen cracks before Mirabel saw them at Antonio's ceremony (not at the moment tho), giving her a reason to actually believe Mirabel and pray to Pedro.
Based off the book "Mystery in the Rainforest", Dolores and Mariano are engaged and planning a wedding soon.
There is a school in the Encanto, but since it's closed off and was formed in the beginning of the 20th century, new info would cease.
Pedro might've been the one to know sewing and embroidery. He taught it to Alma, who taught Julieta and Mirabel. She probably taught others but Mirabel did it the most.
Bruno's door might've started glowing again during his vision in Antonio's room because Mirabel is making him feel included in the family (and therefore Casita) again.
The Madrigals do have friends groups, just not shown.
Camilo's gift can be tiring. Like an actor playing their part.
Mirabel probably would've had a negative or even traumatic impact from the fall of Castia, mostly due to a near death experience.
The Madrigals have never tested their gifts beyond the Encanto, so it's still a mystery on what happens.
Antonio probably can talk to animals from different countries, not just Colombia.
Camilo sometimes tries to impress everyone with his gift.
Mirabel's birthday became "stressful" ever since her 5th.
Isabela would probably help Antonio decorate his room with crazy plants.
Behind the scenes:
5/21 is Afro-Colombian Day, which is why that's Antonio's bday.
There used to be a deleted scene of Mirabel getting grounded by Casita.
The Guzmans originally had the same number of family members as the Madrigals, and each member was like a doppelgänger of each gifted Madrigal child, except Mirabel, who was represented in the Guzman family by a goat.
There used to be a scene where Camilo's gift goes haywire at night or smth (can't figure out the full pic for this one).
Writers considered early on that Mirabel would want to leave, but they decided that from a character and cultural perspective, leaving her family would have been the absolute worst thing she could imagine.
It's never been established how long the ceremony doors appear before the ceremony, but 9 months has been considered.
Early versions would show that Alma had strict parents. It may or may not be true now, but it would make sense.
Mirabel used to have a gap in her teeth to show her quirkiness, but was removed because they wanted to show it in other ways.
Encanto Disney+ Hollywood Bowl Q&A (12/28/22)
Cannon universe:
Emotions can sometimes affect Bruno's visions.
Camilo often helped take care of babies even before Antonio's birth. He was just naturally good with them.
The stairs in Bruno's room probably grew as he became more distanced, so they probably lessened when Casita came back.
Luisa's favorite sister is probably Mirabel.
Camilo would probably sometimes be happy that Isabela found her true self, while also a bit jealous. It depends on the moment.
The Madrigals' reaction to someone entering the Encanto would probably be chaotic.
As a way to protect them, Alma was always a little strict on her family.
Julieta and Agustín often worried how Mirabel was doing, especially for Antonio's ceremony.
Alma tried to show she loved Mirabel in her own way after her ceremony and before the movie.
Camilo's experience being the only boy in the house for a while was...interesting. Not the easiest.
Pepa and Dolores' gifts have caused some difficulties between the two.
Especially post-movie, Bruno, Agustín and Félix would be a ridiculous trio.
The candle is now gone, but a new miracle took its place.
Félix and Mirabel have a good relationship, especially post-movie.
Isabela's 5th birthday was the first gift ceremony for the grandchildren.
Bruno was probably superstitious before moving in the walls.
Before the house fell, Alma probably wouldn't like Dolores marrying Mariano. After, she'd accept it.
The other Madrigals might have hidden potential in their gifts, much like Isabela did.
The townspeople mostly either put the Madrigals on a high pedestal or see them as equals.
Isa probably had at least one flower she'd intentionally give Mirabel allergies with.
Bruno was probably a bit popular at one point.
Adopted Madrigal kids that were 6+ would probably still get a gift.
Mirabel's near-sighted.
Camilo's probably gotten in trouble for his disguises at times.
Bruno's mostly a rat guy because he's around them the most.
Pepa has a sweet tooth but doesn't let her self have too much due to her weather.
Isabela can grow trees and crops.
There's no definite reason why Isa was the favorite grandchild, but being the eldest didn't help.
When Alma said "the magic is strong, and so are the drinks", she was really trying to get everyone back to the party.
The gifts can tire out the Madrigals if used a lot, sometimes physical pain can occur.
Alma might have siblings, but it's not confirmed.
Behind the scenes:
There used to be a scene of Mirabel getting grounded. Idk if it's the same scene as the previous one mentioned, but the context of the question might suggest otherwise. ("What would've happened to Mirabel if she was found after the dinner?")
There were versions in the end credits of everyone reuniting with Bruno.
There is potential for a Madrigal with OCD, autism, etc, but not yet confirmed.
Triplet's Birthday Q&A (8/17/23)
Cannon universe:
Bruno and the grandkids now watch telenovelas together.
Julieta's favorite food is probably ajiaco.
Mirabel's first word would potentially be "sita" because she loved Casita but couldn't say the full word.
Dolores' room has a lot of soundproofing.
The reason Mirabel seems to interact with Castia the most out of the Madrigals is because she was mostly an outsider, with only Casita to talk to.
Encanto is a hidden place, so simply finding it is near impossible.
There are respected town elders in Encanto, but Alma is considered the founder.
Pedro said something to Alma before he died, potentially in Spanish, but it's not confirmed what.
In terms of personality, Mirabel is the closest to Pedro.
For adoptive kids, Casita may be able to anticipate the arrival of someone new even before the family is consciously aware of it, giving them a new door.
Bruno's a fan of chocolate.
Mirabel loves every color. She has no known favorite.
Julieta got married first between her and Pepa.
Bruno's rats aren't sentient like humans, so Bruno would have to train them to do whatever.
It's possible another Madrigal felt resentment towards Bruno after he left.
Julieta's gift possibly only works with a combo of cooking and giving, but not confirmed.
Bruno learned how to use his gift through practice and invented customs. It was complicated.
Julieta probably needs to know the person's injury before healing it.
The majority of the Madrigals' dominate hands are right. Julieta and Antonio are left handed. Luisa is ambidextrous. It's unsure, but Mirabel is potentially left handed.
Mirabel's favorite food is arepa con queso.
Antonio's favorite snack is nailed rice.
Agustín and Félix have jobs in the town, but not confirmed what.
In a book, it was mentioned that Bruno was the golden child of the family. He probably fell from that position in his late teens.
Agustín's favorite meal from Julieta is chocolate santafereño.
Gifts can possibly be repeated, but not in the same generation.
The refugees/townspeople had brought everything from home they used to start farming when the Encanto formed.
Isabela and Mariano still have a good relationship after the movie. Neither were too wild about the engagement.
The bedrooms can change if their owner wants them to.
The gift ceremonies will now be different without a candle.
Madrigals still do the traditional quinceañera.
The Encanto doesn't have electricity.
Bruno has left the walls a few times for a break.
Isabela will probably keep switching up her outfit now that she can.
Luisa has always felt protective of Mirabel.
Behind the scenes:
Casita used to have shown that it has only 1 bathroom, which was located in the back right corner under Bruno's tower.
There was a deleted scene where Julieta yelled at Alma in front of the entire town after Mirabel went missing.
Julieta is the one singing w/ Mirabel during the "constellations glow/the seasons change in turn" lyric.
There used to be a version of Bruno using water with his vision.
The line said by Mirabel, "Even in our darkest moments there's light where you least expect it" was cut after Lin Manuel Miranda wrote Dos Oruguitas and the emotional thrust of Mirabel’s words needed to evolve to encompass what she’d just learned.
There was a Waiting on a Miracle reprise that was cut because they felt they didn't need it.
The concept of a new door appearing was considered to start with the doorknob.
No one intervened during Alma and Mirabel's argument because the writers felt that it was Mirabel's moment to shine.
VERY early on, Bruno (then known as Oscar) was Mirabel's estranged cousin.
Indestructibility was a gift they wanted to use. It was actually Pepa's original gift.
Dolores' Birthday Q&A (8/31/22)
Cannon universe:
People in Isabela's position wouldn't really have the chance to have authentic relationships because they're hiding their true self. This could potentially apply to Isa herself.
Before Mirabel's ceremony, her family was excited for her. After, the family’s ability to see Mirabel clearly was too obscured by their unhealthy dynamics but were probably unaware of that until Mirabel brought it to light.
Bruno's oversized clothing was by personal preference, potentially because of his awkward nature.
Before Isabela showed up in Bruno's vision, another person was there, who is possibly a young Alma. While not confirmed, it is implied in Jared's answer.
Félix and Agustín already had gifts, just not in a way that others could see.
Isabela lets herself break the rules, so while not confirmed, it's possible she could recreate mythical plants.
The town probably functions like a combination of where everyone came from.
The triplets used to have little meetings in Bruno's room when they were little.
Behind the scenes:
There used to be a scene where Bruno revealed he had a secret elevator in his room.
Agustín's Birthday Q&A (6/19/22)
Cannon universe:
Part of what fuels the miracle is unconditional love. When Mirabel and Isa showed that during What Else can I Do?, it affected the magic.
Julieta often gives people the food they like rather than something random.
For a long time, Isabela was the favorite grandchild for Alma. Before her ceremony, Mirabel was. After Casita's rebuild, many dynamics changed.
Agustín was born in the Encanto, but his family was from a city, so he was raised with the city-vibe.
Luisa's favorite food is bandeja paisa.
Every gift can be affected by emotions in some way.
Casita probably helped Bruno hide, but not confirmed.
If Mirabel and Bruno decided to leave the Encanto after Casita fell, the entire family would've fallen apart.
The only people in the Encanto were the ones who traveled with Alma. They all got there at the same time, no one got in or out.
Behind the scenes:
There used to be an exit for Bruno's wall room behind the family tree, but it wasn't used.
Antonio's Birthday Q&A (5/21/22)
Cannon universe:
Mirabel's canonically 5'2.
Mirabel has good relationships with Pepa and Félix. Félix loves everyone and likes hanging out with pretty much anybody. Pepa is a good tia, she’s just very emotional, but for most of the movie (and her life before) felt she had to bottle her emotions which only made them worse.
Bruno probably doesn't need the sand for visions, but as time went on he added his own superstitions.
The color of the magic in the end changed. It wasn't the color of the candle anymore, but the colors of Mirabel. What that means? No one knows.
Bruno "felt" his vision cave collapsing and investigated. That's how he knew it was destroyed.
Camilo couldn't really hold a form forever because of how tiring it could be.
Mirabel did have a quinceañera.
Casita has a mind of its own with its own emotions. Sometimes it could play pranks on the Madrigals or be too upset to move anything.
Behind the scenes:
Earlier versions had a negative dynamic between Mirabel and Camilo.
The gifts are based off family archetypes. Antonio is a shy kid but opens up to animals.
Random Q&A (3/19/22)
Cannon universe:
The main reason for Mirabel and Isa's falling out was because they couldn’t see the difficulties the other was experiencing, because they were fixated on their own struggles. They were probably closer when they were younger.
Despite being shy, Antonio does have friends in the town.
Due to the triplets' bday being the same day as Pedro's death, it's a mixed day.
Pepa can try to stop natural disasters, but doesn't usually succeed.
Mirabel would sometimes have sleepovers with her sisters when they were younger. There was a deleted scene showing it.
The pink cloud scene in Surface Pressure represents the stuff Luisa wanted to do without the pressure.
Behind the scenes:
Tbh there wasn't any answers that could qualify as behind the scenes sooo... 🤷
Stuff that didn't come from Q&As but is still good info
Madrigal Birthdays (I'm not doing a link for each, just take my word for it lol):
Félix: November 11 (11/11)
Julieta, Pepa, Bruno: October 17 (10/17)
Agustín: June 19 (6/19)
Isabela: August 7 (8/7)
Dolores: August 31 (8/31)
Luisa: November 14 (11/14)
Camilo: December 28 (12/28)
Mirabel: March 6 (3/6)
Antonio: May 21 (5/21)
Madrigal ages:
Alma: 75
Julieta, Pepa, Bruno: 50
Isabela: 21
Dolores: 21
Luisa: 19
Camilo: 15
Mirabel: 15
Antonio: 5
I don't believe the husbands' ages are confirmed, but Félix is confirmed to be a little older than the triplets, while Agustín is a little younger than the triplets.
Julieta is the oldest of the triplets, Pepa in the middle, and Bruno is the baby.

The second wip of the Reincarnation AU series; Isabela’s death.
Featuring another sketch at the end.
Time skip of fourteen years. What happened between Mirabel and Isabela’s deaths? You’ll never know.
Comments are always appreciated.
Warning, sensitive topics below: murder and character death.
~~~~~~
So Much Hides Behind My Smile
“Knock, knock? Mi flor? Are you in there?” Someone asks, opening the door.
Isabela is sat at her vanity, carefully taking out the flowers she’d woven into her hair that morning. From the mirror’s reflection, she can see Milagro stood in the doorway, her family going about minding their own business just behind.
It had been a busy day, of course. Her perfect, albeit long awaited, wedding.
“Of course, mi vida. Did you need something?”
“I just came to see you,” he answered, shutting the door behind him. He laughed, walking over to her, just about to set a hand on her shoulder. “Well, it’s been a long day but we’ve finally made it to the wedding night—”
“Get the fuck out of my room.” Isabela snarls.
Milagro blanks for a minute. “Um… where else am I meant to sleep?”
“I don’t care. It’s not my problem.” She seethes, turning back to the mirror.
“In case the rest of the day didn’t clue you in, mi flor, we are unfortunately husband and wife now. It very much is your problem. And from what I understand, the sooner you have a baby, the happier your Abuela will be. Which you’ll have a hard time achieving if you don’t want me here.”
“If you so much as touch my shoulder, I will rip your penis off and feed it to my carnivorous plants.”
Neither says anything more.
But it takes exactly two seconds for them to act.
Milagro goes to charge his entire body into hers but is yanked onto the floor by throned vines, as Isabela throws herself straight onto him.
“How dare you treat me like this!?”
“How dare you!? This is my room and don’t you forget it!”
“Just because you’re a Madrigal doesn’t mean you can get away with everything, princesa!”
They scratch and hiss and hit like wild jaguars, fighting over the last scrap of meat.
It just keeps going.
Not only does he deserve it and worse, she can let out all the steam that’s been building inside her.
~~~~~~
“A perfect match,” Alma hummed, as Bruno poured them all another round of wine. “Isabela deserves the best and that is what she has. They will both bring so much good to the Encanto.”
“I can’t believe it. Where has the time gone?” Bruno added.
Pepa nodded, still drying her hair. “It feels like just yesterday Isabela was born and now she’s married and going to have babies of her own.”
“That will be our Lolita soon,” Félix smiled.
“I’m too young to have grandchildren! We’re too young to have grandchildren! No offence, Mama.”
Alma was in too good a mood to even remotely care.
“Is it really Dolores’ wedding next?” Bruno asked, teasing. “Because I had a little peek into the future and I saw—”
“NO! DON’T YOU DARE RUIN IT! I DON’T WANT TO KNOW!” Pepa shrieked.
Bruno held his hands up in surrender as his sister began a play fight with him, Félix laughed riotously.
“Hey, I was only kidding!”
“Well, I don’t believe you!”
Alma chuckled too, before getting up. “I am going to check on Julieta and Agustín.”
“You do that,” Félix said. “I’ll keep an eye on these two.”
The rest of the grandkids, all of whom were drunk, were out in the courtyard, hyper as anything.
Camilo, Antonio and a variety of animals were dancing while Dolores played some lively tune on her bandola; Luisa singing a completely different song over the top.
Honestly, you wouldn’t know they were adults.
On any other day, she would probably have scolded them and sent them to bed. For now though, she is happy enough to just leave them. They aren’t hurting anyone or causing any trouble, to be fair.
Agustín and Julieta were sat quietly in another room, without the wine. Julieta has been in an odd state for the past few years with seemingly new cure, and Agustín has always preferred to keep some distance from his mother-in-law when he can help it.
But they should be together right now. This is Isabela’s day and they have all been her biggest supporters.
“They certainly make the happy couple,” Alma said, taking a seat beside them.
“Indeed.” Agustín agrees. “I had my doubts about this match, but I’m glad that I’ve been proved wrong.”
“So long as my girls are happy, then I’m happy.” Julieta declares.
“Well, mija, I can attest that Luisa is definitely happy.” She paused, trying to get the pair to hear the carryon happening outside. “And trying to make herself a soprano, apparently.”
After some wonky, forced long note from Luisa, they broke into laughter.
“It’s nice to see the kids are still enjoying life and spending time together,” Agustín remarked, smiling fondly.
Julieta’s smile drops.
“Not all of them.”
~~~~~~
Long after Milagro is gone and her temper has cooled, Isabela heads downstairs.
It’s late now.
The rest of the family is in bed. Or at least in their rooms.
She doesn’t know where Milagro went after she kicked him out, probably the guest bedroom, but she doesn’t care enough to check. He can sleep outside for all she cares.
She heard some footsteps on the way to the kitchen, but brushed them off.
One of Antonio’s animals, no doubt.
In the kitchen, she makes her way over to the coffee pot. It’s half full, just needs to be reheated - no doubt Luisa has beaten her to their usual midnight drinks.
Casita takes over, sliding her signature cup along to her.
“What do you think of all this, Casita?”
A few tiles clink.
“Mirabel? I’d be lectured for at least two hours about failed marriages in history or something if she was still alive.” Isabela glanced to the side. “Can’t imagine how she’d take this… knowing I just went back.”
More clinking.
“Well, what was I meant to do? I couldn’t say no.”
A cupboard smacks her shoulder, lightly.
She chuckled. Taking off the wedding ring.
“Haha, good point. You know, I always thought getting out of the Guzmán engagement would make me happy, and now I’m about two seconds away from committing murder.”
The beams squeak supportively.
“It’s nice to know someone’s got my back.”
The coffee pot, ready, is tilted over Isabela’s cup, filling it to the brim.
“Maybe I’ll let it happen. Let the family see he’s awful and then I’ll be free.”
It smells as good as usual, there’s an underlying hint of something that isn’t coffee though. She shrugs, and drinks it anyways.
Luisa’s been drunk since the ceremony ended, who knows what she’s put in here since. It’s probably alcohol - that she’s added in some spark of creativity. And Isabela isn’t too against the idea of alcohol in her coffee at all - it’s an idea she’ll try later, when she isn’t about to go to bed.
It doesn’t taste any different though.
She lets Casita dispose of the ring.
She returns to her room steadily, not paying much attention to the beautiful decorations that have been hanging since this morning.
It’s one of the odd times where she wasn’t the one to decorate Casita in her flora - it was her day. Abuela had made it very clear that she didn’t want Isabela to lift a finger.
She never really got a chance to admire them this morning either. She’s spent most of the day outside of Casita and when they have been home, she was in her room, getting ready with Dolores, her maid of honour.
Ah well.
They will still be there tomorrow.
All that matters now is that she’s alone, out of that hideous wedding dress and can sleep off her frustration with a drink.
She doesn’t bother switching on the light, just clambers into bed and setting the cup on her bedside table.
The café con leche is as inviting as always.
[Note reads, not in Isabela’s handwriting:
Dear family,
This is not about you, this is about me. I can’t cope with the pressure of being the perfect Madrigal any longer. I was not made to be a wife and mother - my most sincere apologies to Milagro, mi vida. I tried. You should not blame yourselves. I hope whatever is is next is better than this.
I'm not sure if you know much about Steven Universe but...Diamond au?
Alma is basically white diamond (The supreme Diamond basically), or should I say, Magenta diamond?
Pepa is obviously yellow diamond, Julieta is blue diamond, and Bruno is green diamond.
The grandkids are kind of...young diamonds? (I know in the show it's canon that Diamonds and crystal gems don't age but I'm switching things around for fun.)
So, young Diamonds are typically minded from underground places and it's extremely rare to find one and even rarer to find six.
(So, in the ground they're technically like babies in stone. There's no certain way of knowing when a Diamond will be born so you kinda just have to...wait.)
Isabela was born first, then Dolores. 2000 years later, Luisa was born. 4000 years later, came Camilo and then Mirabel. 10,000 years later, came Antonio.
Like in your Giant siren au, the diamond madrigal adults & teens are huge with Antonio being the smallest. But he's just as tall as the average adult.
Roles -
Magenta (Alma) is the leader and in charge of establishing Gemkind's identity. Yellow, Green, and Blue, holding second-tier status, oversee Home world's military and culture respectively. The grandkids are charge of throwing celebrations for the achievements of the other Diamonds.
In this au the adults aren't addressed as mama/Tia/Tio/Abuela they are just addressed as their colors. Same for the grandchildren-
Isabela = Violet
Dolores = Red
Luisa = Purple
Camilo = Gold
Mirabel = Teal
Antonio = Bronze, cider, Mikado, or apricot (I'm not sure which one to choose from.)
The husbands in this Au are pearls. And yes, they still love their big wives.
Pedro = Sandstone (color) pearl
Agustin = Oxford blue pearl
Felix = Honey Pearl
Are the grand-diamonds spoiled? Yes, they were cute as diamond-lings so how could the older diamonds not spoil them? Are the grand-diamonds still sweet? Also, yes.
That's all I've got for now.
I think the way the “children" are determined by like?? Which couple digs up the lil Diamond. Dunno 🤓
Pedro might be cracked???
Gave them actual diamond cuts 🤭 if you have more go ahead and hand it over (even tho I know nothing abt su)
Tumblr media
ALSO!!! I LOVE WHEN THE MADRIGALS ARE BIG AND ARE BIG OB SMALLER MADRIGALS❗❗❗🤓 My favs, one of my favorite aspects about Giant Siren <33
Encantober prompt #17: Home
“Are you gonna eat that?”
Bruno turned to look at the young man in the yellow ruana eyeing the plate that rested on his lap. He’d barely put a dent in the big, heaping slice of pastel borracho that Julieta had served him. Bruno raised a brow. “It’s rum cake, Camilo. You know your ma would have a hurricane if I gave you any.” Camilo pouted. “There’s a bunch of people here,” he said, gesturing to the crowd that filled Casita’s courtyard. “Lots of distractions. She’ll never know.” “I know!” Dolores piped up, appearing on Bruno’s other side.  “Are you gonna tell on me?” Camilo asked with a smirk. “Because I think Mamá would be more interested to hear who you’ve been sneaking around with after dark!” He shifted into the form of Mariano, leaning forward in front of his uncle and puckering his lips at Dolores. Bruno shrank back a bit, trying to keep his plate balanced on his lap as he shifted on the small stool he had moved to a dim, quiet corner of the courtyard in order to distance himself from the festivities.
Dolores crossed her arms and turned away with a huff. Mirabel came up behind Camilo and elbowed him in the side, causing him to revert back to his original form. “I told you to check on him, not his food!” she hissed. She looked at Bruno. “Tío, are you okay? Don’t you want to join Mamá and Tía Pepa? They’re about to open presents.” She nodded toward the center of the courtyard, where a round table piled high with wrapped packages tied with twine and brightly-colored ribbons awaited the birthday girls. Bruno clutched the brim of his plate, staring straight ahead at the gift table. “I can see fine from here,” he murmured, even as both Luisa and Agustín, the two tallest members of the family, moved directly in front of the table, blocking his view.
Mirabel looked from them to Bruno, who didn’t seem to notice that a rat had climbed onto his lap and was now helping itself to the pastel borracho. She had a feeling he wouldn’t want one of his furry companions to get drunk, so she gently lifted the plate off his lap and set it on a nearby window ledge. Only then did Bruno break his searing gaze into nothingness and look up at her.
“You can’t open your presents from here,” she told him, with a hint of a well-meaning smirk. Bruno stared at her as if she’d sprouted a second head. “I have presents?” “Of course you do! It’s your birthday too, isn’t it?” “Well, technically it is,” Bruno conceded, “but Mamá said she wasn’t sure if I was born before or after midnight because Papá was too busy holding her hand to check his watch, so…” he lifted a hand and made a so-so gesture. “You should call dibs on tomorrow so you can have your own birthday party,” Camilo mumbled through a mouthful of cake. Mirabel spun around to see him helping himself to the plate she’d set aside. “CAMILO!” “It’s alright,” Bruno muttered, standing up. He set the rat on the ledge beside his plate and brushed the crumbs off his ruana. “Parties aren’t really my thing.” The rat approached the plate, which Camilo permitted when it became clear that it was only interested in lapping up the excess icing around the cake. Mirabel grabbed Bruno’s hand. “Come on! You still have to open your presents!” Bruno shook his head and made a feeble attempt to extract his hand. “I’d really rather not. It’s their party, not mine.” He nodded to where his sisters were standing by the gift table. “My presence would sour it.”
The miserable look in her uncle’s eyes was enough to make Mirabel let go of his hand. Bruno slowly put his hood up, and the face of the man under it was not Hernando the Fearless, but rather, that of a despondent stranger. While gifts were being opened to the cheers of friends and family alike, the nearly forgotten Madrigal began to grow more and more distant, until finally he had turned away, intent on shuffling away into the shadows. Before he could, however, a gentle hand had taken his, turning the palm face-up, and placed a small, light package in it. Bruno stared at the present, wrapped in the same parchment paper that held the big chunks of chocolate that Julieta bought from the market when the girls were dealing with that time of the month. He was tempted to hold it to his nose for a whiff of chocolate residue, but decided against it. Mirabel would probably think he’d spent too much time with his rats if his first inclination was to sniff the gift she’d just given him. He gave his niece a questioning look. Mirabel wrung her hands together. “I’m sorry it’s not something better,” she murmured, looking at the ground. “Between rebuilding Casita and other things, I didn’t have a lot of time to work on something big.” She must have sensed Bruno’s eyes on her, because she finally looked up and offered a shy smile. “I hope you like it.” Bruno said nothing, too surprised by the gesture to even remember that perhaps he should say something. He looked down at the package again. It was tied with a simple bow of emerald green yarn, which he carefully undid. Inside was a piece of cloth which, upon unfolding, revealed itself to be a handkerchief. A dark green hourglass had been embroidered in one corner, and in the opposite, a light green rat. The remaining corners contained two letters, stitched in gold: B in one corner, and M in the other.
Bruno stared at it for a long time, slowly turning it this way and that in order to take in each and every detail. He looked up at Mirabel. “This is beau–”
“THERE HE IS!”
Bruno nearly jumped out of his skin when a thick hand clapped him hard on the back. Felix chuckled and drew him in for a one-armed hug. “Thought you could sneak away, eh birthday boy? Get your culo over here! You’re missing your own party!” Bruno could only squeak in protest as his brother-in-law effectively had him in a headlock as he was dragged toward the center of the courtyard. Moments later, the scruffy third triplet was dumped rather unceremoniously between his sisters.
Bruno glanced about nervously, attempting to regain his composure after being literally strong-armed into the spotlight. A rumble of thunder caught his attention as a menacing little cloud formed over Pepa’s head. “Ay, Felix, I said not to force him!” she hissed, placing a protective arm around her brother.
On Bruno’s other side, Julieta touched his shoulder. “Are you alright, hermano? You know you don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.”
Bruno sighed and shook his head. “No, it’s fine. I’m here now, so…” he shrugged. He knew it was worse to show up and then excuse himself than to not be there at all, so he accepted his fate. The handkerchief was still in his hand, so he quickly folded it up and tucked it into the breast pocket of his shirt, making a mental note to thank Mirabel properly when he got the chance. All Bruno could do now was stand there, shoulders hunched, looking as small as possible as he prayed that his fifty-first birthday was the one that would surely give him the gift of camouflage. All the while Agustín gave a rambling speech about the best esposa, cuñada, and cuñado a man could ask for. It wasn’t until the crowd applauded that Bruno finally allowed himself a peek at the gift table.
He blinked. All of the presents had already been opened. Not one of them had been for him. He hadn’t really expected anyone to give him anything, but his heart sank a little nonetheless. That meant that, aside from Mirabel, nobody had thought of him. Not even his own sisters. Maybe it was for the best. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
When it was over - when the party was finally over and done with - Bruno excused himself and headed up to his room. And it was there, lying in a large pile against and around his door, that he found them. One present from each and every member of the family, from Alma to Antonio. Bruno stood there, staring in utter disbelief, like a child finding presents under the tree on Christmas morning. “We thought you’d prefer it this way,” said Pepa, standing beside him. “We know you don’t like crowds or big parties, especially on our birthday,” added Julieta, at his other side.
Bruno looked from one sister to the other, trying but failing to get any coherent words out. He gulped some air down, managing to choke a little. “It’s not… this isn’t…” “You can open them in your room, if you want,” Julieta told him, “and then thank everyone at breakfast tomorrow morning.” Bruno shook his head, gesturing frantically with both hands at the presents. “I don’t… I…”
Pepa sensed his rising panic and squeezed his hand. “Relax, Bruno. The party’s over. It’s just the three of us right now. You can tell us what’s wrong.” Bruno looked up at her, feeling for all the world like a storm cloud should be forming over him for once. After a moment, he hung his head with a heavy sigh, a soft murmur escaping him. “What was that?” asked Julieta. “I said, I don’t have anything to give you. Either of you,” Bruno said, giving her a sidelong glance through the hair that hid half his face.  The two women exchanged a look over their brother and, as if communicating telepathically, moved as one to embrace him. “Idiota,” Pepa muttered. “Do you think we care about that?”
“We’re just glad you’re home,” added Julieta. “That’s all the gift we need.”
“But -” “But nothing,” said Pepa. “We had ten birthdays without you. Ten birthday wishes that never came true. But now you’re here and that’s all that matters. Now shut up and let us love you.” For the first time that evening, Bruno very nearly chuckled. He would have hugged them both back if his arms weren’t currently pinned to his sides by them. “Well, you know, I never really left. I was here the whole entire time. And birthdays weren’t really all that different. I just went from being a wallflower to literally living inside the - Pepa, you’re raining.” Pepa promptly released him, wiping a tear from her cheek with one hand while shooing her cloud away with the other. Julieta took a step back as well, now holding her brother’s hand. “You were here, but you weren’t home, and that made all the difference in the world,” she whispered. “And you’re all we ever wanted.” “But you still owe me a wedding present!” Pepa told him, hands on her hips. This time, Bruno laughed.
Christmastime was always the best time of the year in the Encanto. Pepa always made a massive blanket of snow for the village children to play in, the grownups in the village bustling about to get the perfect Christmas gifts for their families, and Julieta’s special cookies that she only made at that time of the year could be smelled for miles. It was the Madrigal family’s favorite time of the year for those reasons.
Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel took turns breathing on Casita’s window and drawing pictures with their fingers. Julieta was close by gathering ingredients for the cookies she was going to make; but this year, she had a surprise for her daughters.
“Ninas, I’ve decided to have all three of you help me make the cookies this year.”
The sisters’ faces lit up as they jumped up from the chairs against the windowsill and ran up to their mother. This was the first year Julieta asked all three of her daughters to help with the cookies. She has alternated in asking Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel to help her every year up to that point, but she wanted to have all three of them help this year. She thought it would be a good opportunity for them to learn to work as a team and bond with each other.
Isabela rummaged through her mother’s bags to grab the sugar, butter, and flour as Luisa and Mirabel followed her like little ducklings. While the girls spent most of the year fighting with each other, the holiday season was the one time of the year they would get along better than any other time.
“I’ll read out the instructions for you, and you girls can follow them!” Julieta added on. Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel jumped and cheered as their mother announced they will be making the cookies by themselves with her help.
“I wanna help put the sprinkles on the cookies!” Mirabel exclaimed as she grabbed a chair and moved it to the kitchen counter.
“Everyone’s going to have a chance to put something in the cookie mix, chiquitas,” Julieta replied.
She took out her old recipe book that she used every year for the cookies from the medicine cabinet and placed it on the counter. Mirabel stood on the chair she placed next to the counter and Isabela and Luisa stood next to her.
“So, we need ½ pound of clarified butter, ½ cup of icing sugar, 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract, 2¼ cups of all-purpose flour, and sanding sugar and sprinkles to decorate,” Julieta read once she turned the page to her Polvorosa recipe.
Isabela ran to the cabinet to grab the vanilla extract and Luisa grabbed the sprinkles. They came back to the counter to meet their mother and sister to start baking. Isabela walked up to the recipe book to read the first step.
“Add ½ pound plus 2 tablespoons of butter on a small heavy pot and simmer in low heat until the butter’s completely melted and all the fat content is on the surface. Remove the fat with a spoon and keep the liquid content.”
Isabela grabbed the butter and Julieta helped her find the measurements to cut the butter. Isabela took the butter wrapper and dumped the cut butter into the pot. Julieta turned on the stove to let the butter melt. Once the butter was completely melted, Julieta turned off the stove and Isabela scooped the fat out with a strainer spoon. Luisa made her way to the recipe book to read the next step when Isabela threw out the butter fat.
“Preheat the oven to 177 degrees celsius. Place the butter in a bowl and with the help of a mixer, beat it to medium speed for 2 minutes.”
Julieta set the oven to preheat to the desired temperature and Luisa grabbed the pot to put the butter in a clean bowl. Julieta helped Luisa use the mixer since she still did not know how to use it properly. She was only eleven years old, and the only time she attempted to use the mixer was two years ago when she attempted to make the cookies with Isabela and Dolores unsupervised for Camilo’s gift ceremony. Julieta and Pepa were reasonably angry and made them promise they would not use any cooking appliances without Julieta’s supervision.
Mirabel climbed onto the chair to watch her mother and sister mix the butter into the bowl. She always loved watching her mother cook, and Julieta’s been letting her have a hand in cooking more since her gift ceremony. They have been bonding much better since then, and it has helped Mirabel gain her confidence a little bit more every day. Mirabel read the next step as Luisa and Julieta continued mixing.
“Add the icing sugar and vanilla and continue mixing for 8 minutes. …”
“Decrease,” Julieta whispered to help her six-year-old.
“Decrease the speed to low and add the flour and mix to…”
“Incorporate.”
“Incorporate for 1 minute.”
As Luisa and Julieta continued mixing the butter, Mirabel opened the icing sugar pack and vanilla extract and added it to the bowl. Julieta decreased the speed of the mixer as she and Luisa continued. Mirabel opened the bag of flour and added it to the bowl with Isabela’s help. Julieta and her daughters were working simultaneously on the cookies and she could not be more proud of her girls.
Once the minute was up and the mix turned into cookie dough, Julieta turned off the mixer and Mirabel stepped down from the chair. Isabela walked back to the cookbook to read the next step.
“Form into 2 tablespoon balls and flatten with your hands. Place the decorating sugar on a plate and place the cookies on one side to stick the sugar on them.”
Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel took turns forming the dough into balls and flattening them. Julieta got a plate from the cabinet to put the decorating sugar on. Julieta poured the decorating sugar on the plate as Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel placed the cookies on the baking pan. Once all the cookies were flattened, Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel took turns placing them in the decorating sugar. Luisa read the final step once all the cookies were decorated.
“Place the cookies on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.”
Julieta took the baking pan from the counter and placed it in the oven and set the timer to thirty minutes. She then hugged all three of her daughters at the same time before giving each of them a kiss on the cheeks.
“Why don’t you girls go play upstairs while the cookies bake? I’ll tell you when the cookies are ready.”
“I wanna play in the snow!” Isabela said as she noticed the snow Pepa made that morning was still stuck to the ground.
“Yes! Yes! I wanna play in the snow too!” Mirabel yelled with excitement and Luisa nodded in excitement.
“Okay; you can go play in the snow. I’ll check up on the cookies and we’ll have them for dessert tonight.”
Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel squealed in excitement and went upstairs to get Dolores and Camilo. Julieta could not help but cry seeing her daughters excited about the hours they were going to spend playing in the snow with their cousins. All five of them grabbed their hats and coats and headed outside to play.
------------------------------------------------
Once dinner was over, Julieta went into the kitchen to get the cookies for dessert for the family. There were enough cookies for everyone to have one, and enough to save for Christmas Eve and Day, so everyone grabbed one cookie each. The rest of the family was shocked at how amazing the cookies were. They knew they were good, since Julieta made them every year, but the polvorosas were better this year than they were every previous year.
“Did you add something to the Polvorosas this year, hermana? I remember them being good, but not THIS good,” Pepa said.
“I didn’t add anything to them this year, but I did get some help.” Julieta then looked at her daughters and smiled at them.
“We helped!” Mirabel blurted out as she hugged Isabela and Luisa.
“Well, it’s no wonder they taste better than any other year. You got the best help you could possibly get,” Agustin said as he took another bite.
Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel beamed  and giggled once their father complimented them on a job well done with the cookies. This was also the first time Mirabel felt like she was worth something to her family since her gift ceremony.
Julieta looked at her daughters once more. “I guess I now know who to ask to help me with the Polvorosas every year.”
Encanto God au
I got another Alma and Mirabel bonding au!
Ok so, what if the Madrigals were gods? Like:
The story/au goes that Alma fell in love with a human man, Pedro. Her parents, friends, and even strangers told her that it won’t end well but Alma, being the young goddess she was, didn’t listen. The way they met was at the candle festival, Alma loved festivals, so she wasn’t going to pass up a fun time.
So, she disguised herself as a human and went to the festival. Soon meeting the love of her life.  They dated, got married, and had three demigod children. Everyone on earth and above the clouds were of course happy for them. But her parents and friends couldn’t fight the feeling of something going wrong.
On the night of the triplets' birth, Alma was in a deep coma like sleep, as any mother would be. While asleep with her three babies next to her, Pedro was outside talking to a “friend”. This “friend” got word of Pedro marrying a goddess and having children with her. His jealousy got the best of him and when Pedro was in his calmest and happiest state…he killed him.
Not long after Alma woke up in a cold sweat and went outside to look for her husband. At the moment, a raid was going on. Houses and stores are up in flames, men with machetes on horses left and right and Pedro…After what seemed like days of weeping and sobbing, she found the man who killed her husband and…dealt with him properly, let's say.
After that incident, the only humans allowed to come near her were Pedro’s parents, high up on Monte Encanto (Mount Encanto, Like Mount Olympus ). Humans can only go to Mount Olympus when they are invited, no other way. On the plus side, it’s incredibly too high for any human to climb.
Alma was quite upset and hates herself for not being vigilant enough to protect her husband, therefore she’s going to protect her children and never let them near humans. In her mind, falling in love with them is the worst thing you can do, on both sides.
Where does Mirabel come in? Give me a sec
Remember how I mentioned Pedro’s parents? Yeah, they wanted his grave to be on earth. They wanted it on earth because they didn’t want to constantly have to have Alma’s permission for them to see their own son’s grave on mount Encanto. So, out of respect of his parents, she lets the grave be on earth and every so often she visits it when she needs time alone or is too stressed out.
Her children sometimes tag along with her on his birthday and leave some flowers or gifts for him to take into the afterlife. You know how the skeletons in Coco would take a magical version of the gift sat on their grave?
Yeah, they believe that’s how he takes the gifts. On one of his birthdays, the triplets and Alma visited his grave with gifts to give him. While doing so, they heard a faint cry. A baby's cry, they looked around to see if there was any baby in the distance. They didn’t see anything. The cry was far but close enough to hear, which is strange, who would leave a baby at a graveyard of all places?
After looking around a bit more, they found a little baby girl in a basket near a tree. She was small, very small, and she looked…new. Like not even a day new, like she was born mere hours ago.
Julieta, being the caring mother she is, picked the baby up and held her close. The little infant was cold, very cold, and from the vibe she was giving Julieta, more than likely sick.
“She’s just a baby, who would do such a thing?!”
Alma stared at the little one and she knew right then and there, she had to care for this child. Unlike her granddaughters, who had been born within the safety of alabaster stone pylons, and in the presence of trained nursemaids draped in maroon and gold silks, this little baby had no such luxury.
Unlike Isabela, whose head was christened in rosewater the minute she was birthed, or Luisa who was immediately coddled in the finest of linens to warm, or Dolores who was put in the finest cradle made of gold and calming scented clouds to lay her head on. Mirabel was in nothing but a withered old basket and wearing…nothing. There was a simple small blanket covering her, nothing more.
And to top it all off, she was born on her late husband's birthday, March 6th. This little girl was a miracle. She would’ve called her a gift from the gods but she just went with a gift from her Pedro.
So, from then on, little Mirabel (or sometimes Miracle) was welcomed into the family as a Madrigal. A mere human yes, but still an amazing little gift that Alma welcomed with open arms.
She was going to teach her everything from literature, mathematics, combat, science, just anything in the little girl's early years to make sure that she was going to be strong, independent, and smart just like her.
“I give you my word neita, you will be outstanding”
Mirabel/Miracle was given to Julieta and Agustin to care for but…it’s more like Alma adopted her herself. She read her stories, gave her gifts, fed her, clothed in the best clothes, etc. To make sure absolutely nothing happened to her little Miracle, Alma made a potion for Mirabel to take everyday to make sure she’s immortal.
The potion was supposed to give her other magical properties but it only gave her immortality, no god magic like her sisters or primos. No super strength, healing, no ability to control weather, ability to make plants, shapeshifting, or hear from far places, nothing.
No matter how many potions Alma made, no magic from her family would stick besides immortality. No matter, she was still special, and will forever be special in Alma’s eyes.
At school (for the god kids, but Mirabel was easily accepted in) Alma made sure she only had the best teachers, if she couldn’t always be the one teaching her then Alma was going to make sure gods who were well qualified were going to.
Mirabel isn’t bullied per say but she isn’t well liked either. To gods, humans aren’t anything but an annoyance or something to play with. So seeing something you were taught to not see as anything but a speck is doing better in class than you…does get annoying. And most of them think she doesn’t deserve to be there
All of the god kids avoid her unless they are paired up with her for an assignment. Other than that, they don’t pay much attention to her, and it’s easier for them because they are much taller in comparison to her. They don’t even have to look down in her direction.
God children ages 1-5 are about half her height at fifteen. So in this au, Antonio is at her shoulders, Camilo is four feet above her, Luisa is two feet above him, Isabela/Dolores are three feet over her, and the adults are a few inches above the two oldest girls.
Alma keeps her height small in case she has to talk to Mirabel, who she knows can’t stand her smallness. Did I mention that Mirabel needs to nearly climb everything in her castle to get to it? If no one in the family is around she really has to climb her way to the kitchen counter just to make a snack.
Oh, and Alma doesn’t look old is this au. From what I’ve read in Greek mythology and seen in Greek statues, none of the gods look or seem to be older than 30 so Alma looks 26 but she’s about the same age she is in canon. Same goes for the triplets, no gray hair or that much wrinkles.
Mirabel does have her own room in this au and all that jazz. I’m not so sure what to do for dynamics but I think I’ll keep things the same? Idk,
I was thinking that maybe Mirabel, Camilo, and Dolores are ok with each other, but leave them in a room alone and it’s just gonna be…awkward and silent. They don’t talk much seeing as they just have stuff to do but they're alright with each other. Antonio and Mira still have that cute little brother and older sister relationship though.
Luisa and Mirabel are cool, Luisa is a little overprotective of her, but it’s not to the point of where it’s annoying. I’m not sure about Isabela and Mirabel’s relationship though. I feel like Isabela is slightly Jealous that Mirabel gets more attention from Alma in regards to gifts, excellent teachers, and knowledge about anything and everything she gives her.
Don’t get me wrong, she loves her and would rip the entire fabric of the universe for her, but Isa just isn’t quite sure what to do with her. Julieta and Agustin are still loving parents and shower her with love and care when they can.
Felix and Pepa love her too and speak to her when they have the time. Bruno does the same and cracks some jokes if she’s ever upset.
The idea that I had is that Mirabel is like Ariel but different. She wants to go to the human world just to feel normal. Her thinking is that she's a person just like the rest of the people in the village she sees.
Nobody is up on some high horse of superiority; the people are just people. No one treats or looks at her like she's some omen you're not supposed to talk to.
On the plus side, they don't ignore her as if she isn't there and it's a rarity for anyone to be above 6'4, she's amazed by the simple fact that her height is average among girls and some boys.
The only problem is that she knows damn well she isn't supposed to be down there. Alma expects everyone, Including Mirabel, that no one is supposed to talk to humans.
"It'll be the worst thing you could do, for both ends"
But Mirabel isn't a goddess, just a human with immortality, so nothing can go wrong right?
That’s all I’ve got for now, if you have any ideas, let me know! Oh, and here's everyone's majors
Alma - Goddess of strength, independence, fertility, and festivity
Julieta - Goddess of peace, healing and fertility
Agustin - God of loyalty, crafting, and perseverance
Isabela - Goddess of flowers, elegance, and beauty
Luisa - Goddess of strength, independence, and loyalty
Pepa - Goddess of war, emotions, and storms
Felix - God of light, happiness, and love
Dolores - Goddess of silence, peace, and hope
Camilo - God of trickery, comedy, and festivity
Antonio - God of animals, happiness, and imagination
Bruno - God of Prophecy, wisdom, and laughter/comedy
(Some of) Worship Madrigals family meet Isabela and Mirabel for the first time
Pepa hesitated, seeing two girls. At first she thought that she had hallucinated. The older one visibly reminded Pepa of her mother in her youth. The little one looked like her sister. Just what the heck was going on?
The older girl bit her lip, pulling the other one closer. "Is... Is it Encanto?"
Pepa nodded, feeling the wind growling from her worry. Whoever they were, it wasn't normal. Encanto almost never had visitors.
"Is the Madrigal family here?" She looked unsure, more like telling about a distant memory.
The young mama could get into Pepa's daughters considering her age. And her defence over the other girl was rather sweet. Pepa nodded. "We are, I am Pepa."
The older girl blinked several times, scrolling through some memories. She counted on her fingers, muttering something to herself. "Tía?" She breathed out, looking up into Pepa's eyes.
It took a moment for her to realize. Pepa's world froze. Tía. A girl who looked really simular to her Mama asked about the Madrigal family. A girl who held another child wrapped in vines. Too similar to Julieta. Too close in genes.
"Isabela?" Pepa gasped, feeling the rain pouring down. She couldn't believe it. It had to be a dream. It's been twelve years. "Mirabel?"
Mirabel shifted uncomfortably. Isabela nodded, still shaken.
Pepa expected to wake up any moment now. It had to be a dream. It couldn't happen in reality. Tears ran down her face as she pulled her sobrinas close. She held them, crying in fear. Because she couldn't imagine to lose them ever again. They had lost all hope of finding them both. And now they stood here. Both grew so much. Rain showered all over them. Pepa had no idea why she was crying. But the weather was the least concern now
***
Julieta had noticed rainclouds on the edge if Encanto. What had made Pepa sad? She looked here, worried, keeping her workpace.
It took a while before Pepa rushed to her, holding two girls by the hand. Julieta's heart pinched. The girls looked familiar. Not in a normal sense of physical features. But on a deeper level.
Pepa smiled, rainbow flashed over her head. "Juli, your girls, they are..."
Julieta gasped, tears welled up in her eyes. Isabela? Mirabel? No, no, it must be a dream.
All those years, she prayed for her babies to come home, to be alive. Now, they stood in here. After all this time.
Isabela grew so much, now an adult. The childish innocence was gone. Now a mature woman. And there was Mirabel. Her baby girl who went missing so young that Julieta never had a chance to see her getting out of the infant stage. See her first steps. Help her with her school, see her personality.
***
Luisa was attracted by the noise. Just near Mama's food stand a crowd peeked interested as Julieta and Pepa were crying with two strangers. Luisa bit her lip, pushing herself closer.
"Mama?" She asked unsurely, leaning down.
Julieta waved to the new girls. (Why were they so similar to Abuela and Mama?) "Luisa, your sisters had return."
Luisa stepped back in disbelief. She could swear she hallucinated. Because there was no way... It just couldn't be. Luisa had probably dreamt.
Her hermanas were here in front of her eyes, made out of flesh and bones. Alive, here. Home...
With height over one hundred ninety centimeters and inhuman strength, Luisa could easily scoop them both. One arm got each. Julieta gasped, being pushed away.
Isabela gasped for breathe, struggling against way too tight hug. It was Luisa? What the heck? When did she... She was five! (It was when they were kidnapped so she probably wasn't anymore, but this fact was too hard to accept)
Luisa sobbed, almost throwing her sisters over her shoulders. "I missed you!"
There was no words to explain it. How long she cried, asking for them to come home. She spent years, begging for her sister to be back, claiming that she would give up her gift if only Isa and Mira would return. And she sertanly wasn't going to let them go ever again.
sleep pile with bruno and his nieces and nephews!
Thank you for the request 🥺 Somehow this turned out to be over 1,000 words! Here’s the AO3 link!
...
Duerme bien
“But we should—“
“Leave him there. Good idea.”
“Not what I was going to say!”
“Whaddya mean? We’re practically twins! We finish each otherrr’s…”
“Like I’d ever fall for that.”
“Hey. What’re you guys just, standing there for?”
Mirabel and Camilo startle at the voice behind them.
“Luisa! Keep your voice down, okay,” Mirabel hisses. “It’s Tío Bruno.”
The tall young woman crosses the courtyard and gazes in the direction her sister has indicated with puckered lips. Her powerful body is immediately tense, ready to spring forward and pluck their tío out of whatever situation he’s landed in. The instant she sees him, though, she gives a low little laugh.
“Oh, he’s sleeping.”
“Yeah. On the floor. Just. Dead to the world, right there.” Camilo, heaping on the obvious statements.
“Which is why we should move him to the couch!”
“He looks… comfortable?” Luisa shifts from one foot to the other. “Haven’t you seen this before?” The younger kids shake their heads. “He used to do it a lot. Before he, uh, left. I remember seeing him asleep on the floor, or like, in a corner somewhere. Mamá said that as long as he wasn’t in danger, wasn’t going to fall or get stepped on or anything, it was okay to let him be. Said he needed the rest.”
She doesn’t mention the part where she’d plunk down in front of Bruno, a doll and stuffed animal in tow, or sometimes blocks. Or that she’d sit with him until he woke up (once or twice prodding him awake herself). Then her tío would blink at her through those ever sleepless eyes, never upset with her, not even if she roused him sooner than he’d wanted. Just a crooked smile and a bleary but tender, “Buenas, Luisita.”
Camilo is gesturing at the man’s form in the center of the living room. “See? I was right. Also, wow, fu—ay! Wh—“
“Shh. I still think we should move him.” Mirabel’s brow is furrowed.
“…What if he wakes up?”
“Yeah. And anyway, he’s probably too heavy for us n–ow! Stop pinching me, Mirabel!”
“He’s not!” Mirabel says, while Luisa crosses her arms, biceps bulging. “And I won’t, because you keep being an—“
“Let him stay there.”
All three of them jump in spite of the sound of a well-practiced whisper beside them. Turning their heads in unison, they see Dolores peeking around the threshold at their passed-out uncle.
“He’s still lighter than you, cabeza gorda.” She adds, humming, lest she squander the opportunity to defend Bruno and jab back at her brother, who simply shrugs, even as he fixes her with a too-wide smirk.
Looking back at Mirabel, he says, “Our majority and our seniority reign!”
Mirabel is familiar enough with their mothers’ and Bruno’s banter as triplets to know it’s hopeless to argue that Camilo being two months and one week older than her totally does not count as seniority. Still, the words chafe.
“Well, unfortunately for you, primo, brains beat age,” she counters. Smiling at her own private triumph. “You guys, come on! Dolores, don’t worry, we won’t wake him.”
“Oh. No, it’s not that–“
“¡Permiso!”
As if on cue, the quiet, piping voice of the youngest Madrigal sends the four bigger bodies shuffling. They watch the boy’s curly head bob toward them—the rest of him is nearly obscured by the thick woolen blanket he’s hugging to his torso—and as he weaves through and on into the room.
Antonio had been the first to stumble upon Bruno like this, after consulting the rats over his whereabouts (“I need to find your mamá,” is how he framed it). It was seeing his tío fast asleep on the floor that made the boy shelve his pursuit of story time in favor of the next most logical thing.
Sure, the kid may have gotten distracted by his toucan friend along the way, but he’s back now! And once he reaches his destination he promptly arranges the blanket in a pile next to Bruno, plopping down on his side and snuggling his cheek against the man’s pudgy belly.
The sight makes Dolores and Mirabel grin and Luisa’s lower lip quiver.
“Looks like Toñito’s found a middle way.” Camilo arches an eyebrow.
No one is at all fazed when Mirabel darts away, skirt fluttering. Nor when they hear a few muffled thumps somewhere above them, followed by the sound of her shushing herself. Within moments she’s at the living room entrance again, heaving blankets and pillows at the others (Casita had to have helped with the load), and bounding ahead, lightly, with hers. She motions c’mon just as she’s starting to lay out her blanket in order to curl around her little primo, who wiggles his fingers at her.
“His tummy keeps making noises,” Antonio whispers, stifling a sleepy giggle.
Mirabel’s mouth forms into an o-shape. To her right, she catches a glimpse of Luisa settling on her quilt above Bruno’s head. “Maybe it’s better not to lie on it, hombrecito…”
“It’s okay,” Dolores says with an unconscious tilt of her head, from where she’s making a spot for herself. “Tío ate a little over an hour ago. He’s just slow to digest.” A satisfied Antonio mushes his whole face into Bruno’s soft stomach.
“Hey, save some room for your big brother.”
The teenager has shape-shifted into a… smaller version of himself—a bit smaller than Antonio, even. Nudging in between Dolores and their tío, he steals the former’s pillow so he can roll onto it, and rests his head opposite his brother’s. After a second or two of mild contemplation, he pulls an expression that reads not bad and gives an exaggerated yawn.
Pepa and Félix’s eldest shakes her head. Then her eyes flick off to the left… barely catching the shadow moving past the room.
The last things Dolores sees before she lies down beside Bruno are Luisa curved in an arc over him, body completely slumped and a gentle smile playing on her lips; and Mirabel rubbing circles into Antonio’s back as he drifts off, trying to fight the same fate…
In due time, the air turns fragrant with the scent of various wildflowers. Isabela slips into the room, a rolled blanket in the crook of her elbow, and conjures crowns for each of her family members. (No outrageous blooms, though she considers making an exception for Camilo.) When she’s finished putting the final touches on Bruno’s clovers, she claims the space by her youngest sister.
“Duerme bien,” she murmurs, letting her forehead rest against the already slumbering girl’s shoulder.
Everything falls silent.
Maybe he would have moved earlier. Coughed, or something. But, oh, these kids…
Bruno allows one eye to open a crack, then the other. Gingerly, he extracts his rather stiff arm out from under Mirabel, giving it the tiniest stretch and twist before placing his hand on Antonio’s head.
He smiles, and closes his eyes once more.
Here’s some revisions I did after seeing some of the ideas (there are obviously some flaws but I tried). Also, these ideas you guys had are amazing and my brain is BRAINING!!!
Season one - Centering the triplets as they grow up and Alma nearly losing her mind. The full season would be 20+ episodes and 20 minutes long. Also includes young Agustin and Felix.
Season two - First ten episodes ending with the triplets (Pepa’s wedding) and the last ten with the grandchildren growing up. (And expanding on the changes that happened after Mirabel’s ceremony.)
This season and mid season three would expand on how some relationships dwindled and just different dynamics and such. Maybe some post-movie bonding.
Season three - First ten episodes ending with post-movie grandkids/ before Antonio’s birth month. The last ten centering on the actual healing through Casita’s collapse. Mirabel’s parents, sisters, and Primo's reaction to Mirabel’s disappearance. And the reaction to Bruno coming back and how they all felt.
And more bonding among family members and an introduction to extended ones on Agustin and Felix’s side of the family. Like honestly, what about their other cousins? grandparents? Tias & Tios? Nephews and nieces? We need more of them too.
Over the course of the series a trading & transport system is created for people to safely get in and out of the Encanto to the nearest town. They do explore outside The Encanto/see how far the gifts go. Culture shock.
Obligatory "the oldest granddaughters go out and shenanigans happen." also Camilo and Mirabel spy/tag along.
Season four - first twelve episodes are going to be character-centric and full of shenanigans. In every episode Luisa tries a new hobby in the B/C plot and it goes a different direction each time.
Obligatory halloween episode where the grandchildren tell each other scary stories of the outside world.
Episodes 18  could possibly surround the Triplets birthday. Episode 19 could be the Valentine's day episode with the yellow couple, blue couple, and Dolores’ relationship with Mariano.  Could also involve the other grandkids talking to their crushes or asking them out. Just a full day of wholesome love.
Episode 20 could be a BIG family game night with extended family involved.
Season five - Finale season (A few years into the future maybe?)
Mariano goes with the other granddaughters out of the Encanto to get the best engagement ring for Dolores (because only the best of the best is good for her). Camilo and Antonio tag along and they get into trouble. Dolores hears everything and goes to bail her boyfriend and cousins/brothers out.
Day of little candles themed ep where alma and the family go to the river and alma tells them all about pedro. Also flashbacks of before dos oruguitas and Alma telling her family how proud she is of them all.
Mirabel (possibly seventeen or eighteen) looks back on how far the family has come while working on Dolores’ wedding dress.
Season ends with Dolores and Mariano getting married!
Notes: Yes, the theme song would be like the family madrigal, new outfits every other episode, in each episode a part of the diverse Colombian culture could/should be explored. (food, music, dancing, fashion, history, etc).  Songs are a must and Lin Manuel Miranda will be the one who worked on them. I won’t let anyone else attempt to mimic his style of music when he can just be hired. I’m sure he would like to work on the story anyway.
I think 24 episodes instead of 20 would be a bit better plot and story wise. Maybe each could be 25 minutes each too? Also, if Disney is willing to not have a stick up their ass, I would like the series to be animated in Disney’s renaissance era style. Like the Hunchback of Notre dame, Brother bear, Lion king, Treasure planet, and Tarzan. I’m NOT accepting anything less.
It could also be a Tradigital (both computer and hand drawn) style like Tarzan/Hunchback of Notre dame! 3D backgrounds painted to look 2D with the characters actually being traditionally drawn. This would especially be cool to look at in Antonio’s room and just Encanto in general.
TONS OF DISNEY  EASTER EGGS! “Wish” kind of didn’t do it right at all so I think Encanto can do it better.  Honestly I should’ve just asked the Encanto community for help instead of just struggling by myself. YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!! If I’m ever able to pitch this to Disney and actually make this become true I will credit ALL OF YOU!!!
Also, I’ve noticed how poorly Disney marketed Treasure planet, Princess and the frog, and strange world (most are allegedly poorly marketed) and by god I WILL NOT let them poorly market this.
Lastly, I think the series could have a full six seasons because there are so many ideas that I want to add and don’t want anyone’s idea left out. Plus, there’s just so much one can do...
thanks to @midcanto @mirabels-miracle @droppingdonkeys @slayyyysworld @teawizard and you of course for the ideas!
mirabel😭making😭dolores😭wedding😭dress😭
I love these ideas so much!!! in a better universe this exists and in the Number 1 fan!!! I love when this fandom is creative and all come together!!
