A thought I had about Scheherazade’s weird redemption:

Comparing her to other episodic island antagonists, Myron is immoral and Omegon is a literal supervillain. They’re obviously despicable, so maybe having her as an anti-villain was meant to break up the trend.

But Scheherazade (personally) doesn’t come off as an anti-villain. If she’s going against her obsessed father… how is this justified aside from personal matters? The Sultan is never seen to be corrupt or incompetent, at worst he ignored his daughter’s feelings. But otherwise, his kingdom seemed fine before Scheherazade’s (tantrum-fueled, let’s be honest) thieves ran them over? Correct me if I’m wrong though

So it’s not just a bad attempt to make Scheherazade forgivable, it’s also a bad attempt to show the Sultan is in the wrong.

Funny enough, no matter what the fandom loves their villains. Scheherazade had a little bit of attention during her island episode releases… but nowadays there’s little to no fanfare about her. It’s a little mean to say that about a dream island character, but it’s what I observed 😭
