Yuma - To me, he loves with such deep care and affection. I think he views love as beautiful, an emotion that leaves him sad yet wonderfully happy. Love is interesting to him, as it’s not new, but oh, how he wishes you weren’t hurt by your previous love. Despite this, he loves you, fully and with his whole heart. Harua - I think, despite not having a lot of experience with love, would see love like the movies. When he loves, it’s very real and he values it with his entire heart. I see him as the type to be a soft romantic and stand up for his partner, regardless of what life throws at you. He finds himself picking up your little habits and it makes him smile just thinking about how he hopes you're his forever. Harua views love as something beautiful- not superficially, but the way love is simple. It's fond and familiar. Love is hard, and Harua knows that. Despite the cruelty of the world, he wants to be with you. His love reminds you of summer breezes and the simplicity of life. If forever meant being with you, he would embrace forever with wide open arms. He loves you more than you can ever know.

Maki - I firmly believe he sees love in everything. Perhaps it is his upbringing but to him, love is laughing when you trip on air and saying aww when you see cute puppies. His love is noticeable, yet reserved. You know he loves you but he expresses it in ways that make you wonder if you saved a world in your past. To him, love is learning about you and wanting to live life with you! Loving you is so easy, it's like breathing. He loves you so much and in each kiss, he hopes you know that you're never alone. Even if no one is by your side, he'll proudly stand with you. His love makes you feel like life is worth living, not just being stuck in the corporate cycle.

Okay I finally generated an ask for you!!!!

What is your favourite genre of music? Or if you don't know how to categorize the music you listen to (like me), what is your favourite song? Or band? Or album? Something like that.

ohhhhh #1 question i am categorically incapable of being normal about <3

i typically just define my favorite music as "loud" or "aggressive" or "abrasive" bc most stuff that fits those descriptors will be in my faves regardless of the genre.

a more specific answer is that there are 3 main things i've noticed that will typically make me go apeshit without fail and they are: 1. hardstyle/gabber/industrial hardcore- sorta basskick 2. sickass metal guitar shredding 3. huge dramatic grandiose orchestral

if something has 1 of these i will probably like it, if it has 2 it will be a top fave, and all 3.... well i have yet to find it yet but im sure i will Ascend. here are examples of said top fave combos.

laur covers hardstyle+orchestral and i Cannot Get Enough of his shit man it goes so fucking crazy hard

metal+orchestral is unquestionably ruled by nightwish, but theyre not on bandcamp and i dont feel like finding other links so this one goes to the still-very-fucking-awesome runner-up, POWERWOLF

riikira and rabbitjunk hit metal+hardstyle, though it's less strictly hardstyle and more just general hardcore* electronica. if its got crazy amens its enough who cares. i put the ones that use actual kicks for the sake of illustrating the point here but these tracks are both pretty far from my faves from each lmao *hardcore referring to hardcore [edm] in this case, even though the genre these belong to is called "digital hardcore", which instead refers to hardcore [punk]. it's a mess out here. did you know theres two completely different things called doomcore where one is derived from metal and the other is derived from hardcore. and you never know which itsd going to be when you click on something in the doomcore tag. im dying squirtle

anyway on the other side of the hardstyle+metal combo is kobaryo [with his alias blaxervant], who's much more about the hardcore side of things and just has the metal as flair, but it is still: the best shit ever

laur also on occasion hits this side of hardstyle+metal becaue he just likes using whatever the fuck instruments

there are of course many other things i love a lot, primary examples being ambient/atmospheric, folk, and anything with a lot of Texture. im not gonna get into all that but i do have an extended list of faves/recs from the last time i was asked about this and went insane abt it. it took forever to make and my actual recs are not entirely the same as my Faves so im putting it on here too.

i keep these curated to the top of my bandcamp profile so they're the first things that display there. it's a bit old by now and some have since been shuffled out, but it's still like 80% accurate.

as for the actual recs: the angel's message is there because it's my fave brand of intense and chaotic stuff and want it to kill you full force. it already has some tracks up there so im not re-linking it

this one i recommend just because i think it's really interesting and out there and i'm curious what other people think of this sort of stuff. it's also the prime example of what i mean when i talk about Textures in music.

wolfgun is an actual rec for being genuinely just really good music. probably the most objectively cool/platonically enjoyable thing in my library

Ok me and a friend got talking and. heres (some of) the things I personally would do if tasked with rewriting Mystreet.

[very brief mentions of Katelyn, Garte + the Lycan parents :>]

Im totally stealing this idea from @bread--squid--uwu but Aph's name is Aphrodite now. Makes sense with the guys all being into her, still keeps the nickname, makes sense for Sylvanna etc

Reducing the ages. It makes noooooo sense to me that theyre all like, 35. They're fresh out of college, like 21-23.

Magic would either be a big part of the world building or removed entirely. Not a fan of the soft magic system. If removed, Lucinda would be a more like, herbs + the moon kinda witch you know? She also likes DnD

knowing more about peoples backstory! Laurance in particular has such little clarification on his family and upbringing

We get to know about all the shady goings on of the Ro'Meave household because theres no way Garte is a good man i do NOT trust him

Katelyn + Travis don't get back together

Aphmau goes to a different college to the others and meets Aaron (max of 2 years older) there because I'd personally like it more if the rest of the group didn't know him beforehand! That way Gar and Laur are able to be upset with the idea of him. I like the idea that they get so in their own heads that they plan out a whole argument that Aaron just. doesn't take the bait on at ALL and they realise that maybe theyre in the wrong for jumping to conclusions.

The ultima Werewolf thing would have to be totally revamped idc. I dont remember how its explained in the show, but I like the idea of it being a curse on the family possibly by Lucinda's ancestors. (Melissa + Lucinda could have a moment too!)

KC has like a common Japanese name because it reflects her fear of being forgettable (?). Also she is actually asian

CHARACTERS HAVE LAST NAMES. Except for Lucinda because again, I want the magic to be more prevalent and I think its cute that shes kinda the odd one out

Zane is Autistic and its discussed! I want Garroth to learn to respect his boundaries

On the same note, Garroth and Zane actually make up. I think Zane and Laurance being worsties is fun but the brothers need to be on neutral ground at LEAST.

Aaron is introduced early on. I don't really care how, but him being introduced half way into season 1 is partly the reason Aarmau is so rushed

People have identities. Not everyone needs an exploration or a label, but at the very least, Katelyn is Bisexual throughout the series and Garroth, Laurance, Melissa, Lucinda and Teony are some flavour of gay

Teony is more relevant. she doesn't have to be in the main group but I'd love to see her more like she works at the mall or smthn

The Garroth/Laurance/Aph dynamic changes majorly. They still constantly are trying to one-up each other by sweeping her off her feet but its more playful than anything serious. They get super competitive abt it but its still a but of fun. Whether she likes either of them isn't important. What is, though, is that Gar + Laur are absolutely unknowingly competing for eachother's attention. Maybe theres a cringy little moment where theyre like, "Well I would take her to get SUSHI!" "well I would- wait I LOVE sushi!" you know what I mean? also they actually have a conversation about the kiss at the play instead of just incoherently screaming (theres also some of that tho)

The Lycan family dont get a redemption arc

Dante and Aphmau need something because they could be sooo good but their dynamic is lacking so theyre cousins now. Maria and Sylvanna are sisters or something i dont know.

Also, Gene doesnt have that weird thing going on with Aph in high-school. He's now her friend who gives her a twix sometimes and hisses at Ivy

Totally biased but Id really want Garroth and Laurance's queerness explored. If its a first for either or both of them, how they feel about it, how they're navigating it. I want them coming out to not be a big deal but I want it to be a realisation.

I dont remember who came up with this but Laurance had Cadenza dye his hair ginger for a while because he wanted to feel like part of the new family? adorable. love it. Also Caleb doesnt exist purely because he throws a wrench in the adoption thing

The street has a name. I dont care what but it has a name

Id do something different with the maid cafe, not sure what yet. I dont think Aph would own it, though.

Aphmau's character is more of what it was in season one. Like the girl you call when youre drunk at 2am and she makes sure you get home safe and then brings you sweets kinda vibe? shed get you out of a tough situation

Aaron + Aphmaus relationship is a more relaxed version of what it was in season one, too. They can be romantic or platonic, but they like watching movies and teasing each other not. doing whatever they do in s3 and onwards.

PEOPLE SAY SORRY.

Dante & Travis: The Show is a podcast that Dante and Travis run twice a week. Its world renowned (16 regular viewers)

Garroth is british. Britain exists in this universe and any towns/cities/villages Jess named are somewhere within the USA

Laurance characters get consistent colour pallets.

a/n: basically headcanons of port mafia members dating one of the organization’s medics who happen to be you. i just thought this would be cute and i’m craving fluff. also these are,,, really long.

feat. akutagawa, chuuya, and odasaku

akutagawa ryuunosuke:

you were the doctor that mori specifically assigned to him to help with his lung condition

even though akutagawa was supposed to have regular, weekly sessions he’d only come in like,, twice a month and that was after you texted mori that he hasn’t been visiting you

akutagawa isn’t all too comfortable with the fact that he has to take off his shirt so that you could put him in an x-ray gown or when you need to listen to his breathing with a stethoscope

but you’re incredibly patient with him and also the pay is good so you persist

at one point during one of your sessions, akutagawa grumbles about having to come to the clinic when he just wants to live long enough to make dazai proud

and you’re like ‘is that so?’

“personally, i’d feel kind of sad if you had to die so early”

that kind of gets akutagawa thinking. he can tell by the way you said it that you had no ulterior motives behind it

akutagawa: but,,, i'm your most troublesome patient

you: oh my god you think you're troublesome ??

you start to rant abt all the patients you had to treat before who didn't believe in vaccines or got their elbows stuck in weird places

akutagawa finds your stories really entertaining so he ends up enjoying and willingly going to his sessions with you

after that first fight with atsushi, you ended up taking care of akutagawa and patching up his body

literal days of you just being at his bedside, worrying and hoping that he'll wake up and then you suddenly realize that maybe you have feelings for him

when akutagawa regains consciousness, he finds that he doesn't entirely hate the situation he's in because he gets to see you more often

he likes listening to more of your stories while you sit at his bedside. eventually he opens up with stories of his own (most of them are abt his missions so yeah)

akutagawa begins visiting your clinic more and one day he comes in even though he doesn't have a session and then agonizes over why the heck he did that

good guy senpai chuuya is basically all 'idk are you in love or something?'

to akutagawa it's utterly unacceptable and he hides his feelings for so long until you're the one who decides to confess to him

and to your surprise, he hesitantly asks if maybe you two would like to be in a relationship

you two are awkward about it at first. akutagawa doesn't really know if drinking tea at your clinic could be considered a 'date' but he does like these moments

both of you have pretty hectic schedules since m your patients are also mafia members and you have to be on-call all the time but akutagawa is really understanding

he likes seeing you in casual clothes but he also thinks you look good in a labcoat (he probably borrowed it when you were not looking to try it on)

because akutagawa has grown quite accustomed to your touch and initiates holding hands with you (in private ofc)

he's still not used to the idea of you taking care of him not just as a doctor but as his s/o but it makes a nice change for once

chuuya nakahara:

the first time he met you was after a mission when he was taking one of his subordinates to the emergency room of the infirmary

you were the doctor on-duty that night and the first time chuuya laid his eyes on you he was like 'damn'

who knew the mafia doctors were this hot amirite

ofc you were also kind of starstruck to see mafia executive chuuya nakahara in the emergency room but you had a job to do and a man was losing blood

you: what's his type?

chuuya: uh,, h/c hair, beautiful eyes, labcoat...

you: i mean... his blood type

chuuya's got it bad. after that night he couldn't stop thinking about that cute medic aka you

but he didn't even know what your shifts were so he LOOKS FOR YOUR CASE FILE IN THE RECORDS

it's like he's gonna commit a murder or something but no he's looking for information on you

the guy’s pretty impressed when he looks at your resume and definitely sees why you were hired to be a doctor at the mafia but that only makes him want to see you more

but questions is, how does he make it look like he was just ‘passing by the infirmary’ and not that he’s actively looking for you

tsundere boy is tsundere

because chuuya almost NEVER gets injured in fights and he’s got a reputation for that and now does he get himself injured on purpose just to see you?

well, the opportunity presents itself in the form of him and dazai fighting cthulhu aka lovecraft but we all know its cthulhu

chuuya wakes up on a hospital bed to you checking in on him and he almost falls off the bed in shock

but then after he gets his bearings he realizes what an IDEAL SITUATION THIS IS

although it’s kind of hard to flirt with someone when you’re in a hospital gown with an IV infusion stuck to his arm

nonetheless, he finally decides to ask you out after his last day of treatment and you’re shocked of course but agree

although your first date ends up being rain-checked because a patient comes in a new mission for chuuya comes up

actually almost all your dates get rain-checked until after a mission, chuuya decides to visit your clinic with a bouquet of flowers just when you get off your shift

chuuya: are... you free?

you: yeah. are... you free?

both of you are too tired for a fancy restaurant date so you two end up at a cozy bar to share a drink

chuuya loves listening to your stories and talking to you. he literally has his chin on his hands listening to how you made a makeshift tourniquet out of your labcoat while you were on the field

both of you are really busy people but chuuya likes to stop by your clinic once in a while

you always have fresh flowers on your table because chuuya brings them for you

sometimes he’ll come home to you already tired and passed out

oda sakunosuke:

the first time he met you was after a particularly rough mission and you were luckily there at the emergency room to treat him

this guy had a concussion and needed stitches asap but instead he was asking you to treat his companions first

you quickly treated him and let him rest and of course the first thing he asks when he wakes up is how everyone else is doing

your intrigued of course because you’ve never met a mafia member who was like him

the second time you met him, odasaku actually brought someone from the enemy faction along because he didn’t think that leaving him to die was the right choice

he didn’t know if you would treat them because you were loyal to the mafia but you also had your own moral code as a doctor to treat patients no matter who they were

odasaku stuck around the emergency room knowing that it was going to take you hours to treat the man and when you come out, you’re surprised to see him there with a cup of coffee

the two of you end up sitting in the hallway and talking about all sorts of things. you love listening to how odasaku stopped killing so that he can fulfill his dream of being a writer

he on the other hand loves hearing about how you went through the hell that was med school because you were dedicated to saving lives

maybe odasaku doesn’t mind getting injured so much because that means he gets to see you but also you can’t help but feel worried about him

one time, one of the odasaku’s adopted kids gets really sick and the first person he ends up calling is you because he has no idea what to do

to his relief, you show up right at the curry restaurant and are very much ready to help

odasaku admires how good you are with kids. even though they just met you, they’ve already taken a liking to your calm, sweet presence

you even pull out your stethoscope and let them take turns listening to each other’s heartbeats

until a kid walks up to oda to check his heartbeat and is like ‘uh,,, your heart is beating really fast’

cue all the kids singing “ODA LOVES Y/N, ODA LOVES Y/N��

you look up at oda and he doesn’t look away and now you know

after that day, oda asks if you would like to maybe have a drink with him or visit a cafe and you say that you would love to

odasaku loves to drop by your clinic because he’s such a caring boyfriend and he knows how stressed you are from your work

he even comes by in the morning to bring you your coffee and he memorizes your order

“F 2020!” - TXT

it’s 3:30am and i’m 2 lazy to make a header so here’s yoongi, i promise i have nicer handwriting

wow, i literally have no idea where to start. it’s almost my three year anniversary of being on this hellsite, but i think i can definitely say that 2020 has probably been one of my favorite years by far, and i am really grateful for it. i think 2020 was a year i was able to improve a lot in my writing despite not producing and releasing a lot of content. quarantine finally allowed me to actually sit down and focus on writing more than i ever have before, and shit, it felt good! it finally felt like i was able to write for myself and not just to please others, and it felt so rewarding rawr (•̀ᴗ•́)و

dia's parents were dum and gambled a lot + had various addictions so they borrowed money from the mermaid gang constantLY

they were usually able to pay off their debt but it always took a lot of work to squeeze it out of them

usually what would happen is, one of the mermaid members would have to threaten her parents while the rest would hang out with dia cause lbr it rlly only takes one person to scare townies

one day, her parents couldn't pay but instead of getting interest on their fee they offered their child (like she was an accident and they didn't feel that attatched to her)

ofc they can't j take a baby, esp as a barter for money but some of the mermaid members who so disgusted by their offer that they j took dia. the saiprayongs lost their child and their lives that day. (🤪🤪😬)

when they brought dia back to headquarters, the leader (at that time) was furious about the parents offering their kid and the fact that there is a child in their g a n g hq.

but she took this as an opportunity to raise someone for the gang life, specifically poisons

she was put in classes covering the basics any good convict should know such as: combat training, the 5 most common languages, strategy, stealth, weapon use, lying, how to tell if someone is lying, slight of hand, etc

dia didn't see anything off about her life, especially since that's all she really knew

that wasn't until she was around 14/15 when she was allowed to do to normal hs so she would get a better feel of how kids her age rlly acted

her hw was to watch random teen dramas so she wouldn't stick out TOO much

she also hung out more w the younger mermaid members to monitor how they act and their tips

again, life wasn't too bad for her

buT it wasn't until she was 16 when things took a drastic turn

it was decided that she could be an amazing spy, and what should any super spy have? a poison tolerance.

she was forced to consume various poisons, staring with the ones with the weakest toxin levels and working her way up

it was torturous but she kept strong, refusing to let word of any weakness get out

however, this is where she found her interest in poisons and concocting them

poison was kind of her side gig while she did various things for the mermaid as an operative

now she focuses more on poisons since there hasn't been much going on gang wise,,,,, but that'll probs change soon

she based her alias on monarch butterflies bc they're lowkey poisonous from the plants they eat as bbys, and she thought it would be funni

personality wise she's p chill, she def has a Gang™ side when she's working and her normal side when she's w friends or out

I don’t believe I’ve ever said it isn’timportant to Shawn anymore, if I remember correctly. I think I’ve said thatthey seem to have drifted apart a little, which I get, because when you’ve beenin a relationship with someone or had feelings for someone, it’s rather hard tostay really close when those feelings are over or running low. Not just forShawn and Laur, bur for everyone. For whatever reason, it may be, it’s justalways hard. If it ended badly, if one still has feelings, if you’re scared youcan’t move forward with them in your life still, whatever it could be. Peopleneed space when they separate or else they’ll get stuck in the same old habitsand that always ends up hurting you badly.

From the post, I think you read, what Imeant was, even if they don’t talk as much or are as close as they used to be,I would hope they never grew apart completely and forget each other. Like evenwhen they moved on, went their separate ways and grew older, they’d still lookback at their times as a couple or crushes or whatever they were and remembersomething good. I would hope they never turned into strangers but still greetedeach other on the street or waved or asked how each other were doing, becausethey do live in the same town and they have so many mutual friends. It was meantas, I hope they both value the time they had together (because as you said, itseemed very beautiful whether it was a friendship or more) and that they canboth look back at the times with a smile, even if they’re not as close to eachother anymore. I hope they didn’t hurt each other really badly, becausethe worst thing ever, is someone you loved ending up being someone who burnedyou.

And for people in general, I get you. Imean, if one of the two in the relationship has been badly hurt, again whetherit’s a friendship or a love relationship, I think we need to forget them andmove passed them to get closure, you know? If someone really hurt you, it’shard move on and let your heart heal, if you keep them in your life. But Iunderstand your thinking. It’s crazy and a little scary to think about. Thatsomeone you once cared for so deeply and who hopefully cared for you just asmuch, can suddenly become a complete stranger to you. That someone who was sofamiliar and homely to you, is suddenly only faded memories. That someoneyou’ve had in your life for years, is suddenly going to leave you behind. Itsucks to think about, it’s awful really.

But if we ask ourselves about it,would be have been able to move and heal ourself, keeping someone who hurt us onour life? But I do agree, It’s scary to think about honestly, how people whomeant the world to us and we thought we could always count on, is somedaynothing but a stranger to us, just another face in the crowd.

i stole my neighbor's wifi password | a fyodor x gn!reader bsd smau

a/n: forgot to mention that this chapter has a short written part abt what happens after so i hope you guys enjoy that !

𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕥'𝕕:

fyodor didn’t know what was more embarrassing: the fact that he almost fainted in the hallway when he tried to go out to buy some food, the fact that this happened in full view of his neighbor who also left their apartment, or the fact that he was lying on the floor with his feet propped up on the wall beside his neighbor who insisted on staying until sigma came.

normally, fyodor would have been able to argue his way out of this situation but his vision literally almost went completely dark earlier before he was leaning his weight against the wall. and then he was hearing a string of ‘oh my god, oh my god, are you okay?’ from you before being helped down to the floor.

“thank god my friend’s a med student,” fyodor heard you say. “is that a bit better?”

“yeah...” fyodor mumbled. he was starting to see a bit better despite the headache and could even make out you sitting on the floor beside him. “are you sure you don’t have somewhere to be?” he asked.

“don’t worry, i can spare some time,” you shook your head. “all-nighters are rough and my friends always take care of me when i get sick from them so i don’t mind helping out.”

even though you did get his wifi password without permission, fyodor could definitely tell that you were one of those people who were needlessly kind. especially with the way you’d sometimes bring him food if you ever made too much. ‘with the kind of bank account balance you have, i suggest not doing that,’ fyodor thought on numerous occasions when you showed up at his door. but, he knew that would be impolite and decided against it.

besides, you cooked quite well.

on the other hand, you didn’t find the situation any less awkward than he did. you were glad you were there to help but now you kind of wished fyodor’s friend would already show up.

while thinking about a conversation topic, your gaze fell on fyodor’s legs that were currently resting on the wall beside you and you couldn’t help but think about how comical you two looked. “your legs are really long,” you ended up blurting out.

“thanks, i grew them myself,” fyodor quipped. you bit your lip to stifle a laugh only to be caught off-guard when your neighbor chuckled.

“i am definitely light-headed right now,” he said.

“if i may ask, why did you pull two all-nighters in a row? one is understandable but two?” you asked.

“flooded with work. and i’m not the type to let go of what i need to do until it’s done,” fyodor sighed. “at least i’m on break for the rest of the week.”

“make sure you rest up by then.”

fyodor nodded before pulling his phone out of his pocket to check a message. “my friend is just downstairs already. you can go ahead now if you want.”

“are you sure?” you asked. now that you had the opportunity to leave, you kind of didn’t want to.

“yeah,” fyodor nodded again. he could tell you were still uncertain so he went ahead and said “if you want, i can save your contact info and message you if something happens.”

now why would he do that? what was your peace of mind to him? and yet, what was he to you that you would take some time out of the day to make sure he was alright? fyodor didn’t have time to dwell on it too much when he saw the relieved smile on your face before adding himself as a friend on your phone.

“let me know if something happens, okay?” you wave one last time at him before going down the stairs. fyodor feels much better now but for some reason, he still remains seated in the middle of the hallway until sigma finally arrives.

[ wedding gifts | feat. akaashi keiji ]

pairing: akaashi keiji x f!reader

contains: um, angst, jumps in between memories

a/n: wanted to use the whole wedding gift saying (something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue) thing as a prompt. /might/ make this into a series thing but depends how i feel abt it haha

▸ 🎕 ┈┈┈┈ 🎕 ┈┈┈┈ 🎕 ┈┈┈┈ 🎕 ┈┈┈┈ 🎕 ◂

I. something old

the candy ring pop that akaashi gave you when you were twelve. the lollipop had already been eaten, of course, but you still kept the green, plastic ring piece. sometimes you take it out of where you keep it on your nightstand drawer and fit it over your ring finger.

“i’ll marry you when we get older!” you remember akaashi promising you, right before slipping the ring pop on your finger. you were probably ten years-old back then. akaashi was still in his ‘dragons phase’ and carried one of his favorite books with him to school. he still barely knew how to tie his shoelaces but you never minded squatting down to tie them for him.

neither of you really understand what it means to be married. as far as you know, it just means spending time together and living in the same house. of course, you nod your head and agree. akaashi giggles before going on about how you’ll be wearing matching pajamas until you’re both older.

the lollipop dyes your tongue red and you could see it sticking out between your lips in the bathroom mirror while you rinse off the ring piece. you usually throw these away after eating them but this was different. ‘akaashi gave it, so i have to keep it’, you reason with yourself, shaking the piece of plastic dry.

you and akaashi are much older now and even though he’s grown out of his dragon phase, you still gift him a little dragon keychain that he still keeps on his bag. he probably doesn’t know that you’ve kept the ring until now, nor the fact that your hands would touch his for a moment too long.

‘does he remember?’ you wonder, gazing down at the ring on your finger. it would be kind of stupid if he does, even more so for you to hold onto it.

II. something new

the spare key to akaashi’s new apartment. he’s too cautious to leave it under the doormat to his house, saying that ‘everyone knows that’s where to keep the spare key by now’. so instead, he gives it to you. after all, you live near enough to his place. after all, you would always come if he needed you for anything.

and yet, akaashi never accidentally locks himself out of his house or loses his key. but you keep it anyway because akaashi’s apartment for you to come and go as you please. you cook too much pasta for one person but enough for two so akaashi always has extra noodles in his cupboard.

“guess what that guy in my class did today?” “i accidentally got my wrong coffee order.” despite how long you two have known each other, conversations never run stale. you feel like akaashi’s couch has begun to have a dent in the cushions because you always sit there.

and yet, you can’t bring yourself to talk about what’s been weighing on your mind for the past few years. afraid because you don’t want to accidentally create an ocean between the two of you and yet not content with the unnamed boundary between the two of you.

so you content yourself with the extra key hanging from your chain, with the extra noodle in the cupboard, with the comfortable dent in the sofa that’s been molded in the shape of you. you tell yourself that maybe someday, these would no longer be extras but normal parts of the life you and akaashi share.

that is, until he says the thing you’ve been dreading most to here. “i think i met someone,” akaashi says, almost shyly. his fingers are splayed across the rim of his mug his gaze focused at the window. another conversation stems from that, but one that you have trouble listening to as you feel the key burning a hole in your pocket.

III. something borrowed

akaashi’s volleyball team jacket from way back in high school. you can’t help but stare at the way it fits around her shoulders perfectly when akaashi drapes it on her. as much as you want to, it’s difficult to hate her. not when you see how much she makes akaashi happy.

you make akaashi happy too, just not in the way she does. but he never neglects you, never cancels out on the plans you two have made together, never leaves you waiting outside his apartment door. it would have been easier if akaashi would ignore you or if the girl he was dating was a terrible person. you’re left swinging between joy for the two of them, and sadness to your self.

“you and akaashi sure have known each other for a long time,” she says. your eyes linger on the jacket around her shoulders and how her arm is partially resting on akaashi’s.

“we’ve practically known each other since we were in daycare,” akaashi smiles softly at you. “hey, remember that time we met? when you pushed me off the swings in the playground?”

you can’t help but laugh at the memory as you recount your version of the story. in the back of your mind, you think of the green plastic ring in your nightstand drawer and the ache in your chest grows.

you lean your forehead against the car window when he drives you home, admiring how the yellow streetlights give akaashi’s skin a bronze tint, the way his dark brown hair curls in all the right places. he’s chewing his lip, meaning that he’s worrying about another deadline and you wonder if it’s alright for you to give his wrist a gentle squeeze now.

“thanks again for coming,” he smiles when he walks you to your apartment. you don’t want him to go just yet. you don’t want him to go at all. would the existing bond between you and akaashi be enough for him to consider you, his closest friend, at all?

“is something wrong, y/n?” he asks. you bite your lip, and finally say what you’ve been wanting to for the past few years.

IV. something blue

the bridesmaid’s dresses are the same shade of blue as akaashi’s tie. it’s one of the things you helped choose when wedding planning rolled around. it’s your favorite shade of blue, one that matches the irises arranged on each of the tables during the reception. everything in the wedding venue is picture-perfect and you can’t help but take mental snapshots to remember forever.

if only it was for you.

like the decorations and the flower arrangements, you’re dressed in blue from head to toe, fixing a smile on your face as you watch akaashi’s bride-to-be walk down the aisle in her white gown. even though you’ve prepared for this day for months, years even because you knew deep in your heart that akaashi would ask her eventually, you still can’t stop the tears from escaping from the corners of your eyes.

and as much as it would pain you, your eyes finally land on the expression on akaashi’s face. the smile there could only mean that he’s feeling a happiness that’s beyond words.

the rest of the ceremony goes well, even with you pausing to dab at the corner of your eyes. everyone assumes that you’re crying from happiness for your best friend.

of course, you deliver a speech to the newlyweds, one that took you weeks to write with more than a few crumpled up drafts ending up in the trash bin. it’s so easy for you to recall things like when they first met, how cute they were during those first few months of dating, how you knew deep down that they would stay together for a long time.

you and akaashi lock eyes and there’s a small, sad smile on his face. you try not to think about the green, plastic ring that you had just thrown away, or the apartment key that you could no longer used after akaashi moved out, or the fact that you haven’t seen his old volleyball jacket in so long.

at the end of the reception, akaashi offers to wait with you outside while you hail a taxi home. before entering the car, he touches your wrist for a few seconds, eyes locking with yours.

“thank you for the wedding gift.”

kyoutani kentaro | sagittarius

kyoutani? a sagittarius? lmao no surprise there this guy just radiates so much i n t e n s e e n e r g y

his violent and brash attitude is very sagittarius, he’s usually filled with pent-up energy and he has a relatively short temper

sagittarius people are VERY competitive and that definitely shows with kyoutani. aside from volleyball he’ll find other ways to compete with people

thus leading to the incident with iwaizumi

he gets riled up easily, even by off-hand comments like ‘are you sure you can finish that bento box’ and then he’ll be gobbling food as quickly as he can

probably motivated by spite. the more you say ‘you can’t do it’ the more he’s GONNA DO IT

as a sag, i just feel like he’s not only talented when it comes to volleyball but he explores lots of different hobbies too

he probably plays other sports on the side but kyoutani really likes the idea of being good at many different things

secretly likes to experiment with music production and making some remixes (might have considered becoming a DJ at one point)

ALSO he really loves traveling just by himself

when he was younger, he probably organized a short day trip by himself by bus and as he grew older he began to have more traveling plans

his dream is to just go backpacking around a different country

but like by himself because he can’t imagine getting along with someone enough to be able to travel with them

yahaba shigeru | pisces

omg another pisces boy okay here we go (idk abt you guys but whenever i hear ‘pisces boy’ i automatically think SIMP)

also he shares a birthday with matsukawa so that’s p interesting

what i immediately get from this though is that yahaba is very much connected to his emotions and relationships with other people are very much a cause of concern for him

that said, yahaba is quite unapologetic when it comes to his feelings. he doesn’t care about being too emotional or not he feels what he feels

which also means he’s not afraid to stand up to people

i get a bit of ‘wine mom’ vibes from him too which are very pisces

i bet he does calligraphy classes in secret and sneaks a drink from his dad’s alcohol stash late at night

he can be a bit intimidating but he can also be very soft

makes THE BEST playlists because his music tastes are obscure af (okay that also means he has hipster tendencies)

also has lots of little artsy hobbies and a pinterest account full of aesthetic ocean pictures

oh boy another gemini

and yet i feel like his gemini traits aren’t as pronounced (unlike somebody i know *cough cough* sugawara koushi) so i think he may have a water sign as his moon

he’s really easy to get along with even though you’ve only met him for the first time and will talk about literally anything

really prioritizes getting along with people and won’t hesitate to communicate his thoughts either

that said, he doesn’t like being shut out of a conversation, like what kageyama did to him back in middle school

geminis value communication a lot so this was a no-no for him

i am willing to bet that this guy loves memorizing volleyball facts and sharing them with friends

he just loves reading trivia and when he comes across something really interesting, it will live in his head rent-free

his teammates think its adorable and don’t mind even if kindaichi sometimes repeats himself

definitely the kind of person who likes to be well-rounded with his skills too. even though he’s devoted himself to volleyball, he’s the kind of person who likes to explore different ways of playing

kunimi akira | aries

at first glance, our chill little kunimi here doesn’t really seem like an aries (i have a strong feeling that his rising is in libra or something)

he doesn’t have that intense, ‘notice me !!’ energy that i know a lot of aries people do

but one thing that is very aries about kunimi is how competitive he is and how much he hates to lose

he really likes to win but he’s very smart about how he plays the game because he knows himself and his strengths well

doesn’t look that affected when he loses but secretly he’s all >:(

the kind of person who comes up with a billion counterarguments he could have used for a debate while showering

kunimi actually enjoys dressing up and taking pictures of his OOTD but doesn’t want to make it look like he cares in particular or that he just threw the outfit together

very much a tsundere. probably one of the most tsundere people in haikyuu

a very scary person when he gets mad. his anger is one that’s very quiet but you can definitely sense it

has SO MANY random skills and talents and just likes to whip out a few of them to surprise people

he’s amazing at those arcade claw machines and ended up surprising his teammates when they went out once

he is very selective when it comes to the people he likes to hang out or be around with. will only exert effort for those he’s really close to
