this is like the third (fourth maybe??) time i've written a ship or AU or Something that involves one half of the ship being a troublemaking wanderer of some sort while the other half is an immovable boulder in the middle of a stream somewhere relatively content with their idyllic life or otherwise unable to leave while their on-again-off-again Significant Otherish continually tries to convince them to run away with them so they can have adventures together and maybe even grow old side by side instead of apart
