#yes i'm aware the worms don't exactly kill violet
How do you think the animorphs kids would have handled having to go through the events of Remnants? What dark kronenbergian stuff would happen to Tobias in that universe?
How each of the Animorphs would die during Remnants (because lbr everyone would):
Marco: Died in the initial asteroid impact after giving up his seat on the Mayflower for the kid in line behind him. Slightly tarnished his own sacrifice in that he chose to whack her over the head and bodily toss her into the spaceship, all the while grumbling about people who are too stupid to buy their space-escape tickets well in advance.
Rachel: Tried to take on an entire horde of several hundred Hieronymus Bosch creatures, screaming "You little demon punks think you can take ME?" It turns out they could, in fact, take her. However, her distraction also allowed the other Mayflower survivors to escape, exactly as she intended it to.
Tobias: Set himself on fire to prove a point. What point, exactly, got a little lost in translation. We're pretty sure it had something to do with the transience of human beauty and the meaninglessness of existence, but don't quote us on that.
Cassie: Attempted to save a fellow passenger from the worms. Got infected herself and, after the kind of day she's had — 100% of Earth's biodiversity wiped out, all her friends dead — she figures this might as well happen.
Jake: Announced that, actually, he'd rather not be the leader of the Mayflower survivors. At which point his competition (presumably David) yelled "Great!" and stabbed him in the spine.
-Bonus-
David: Attempted to double-cross the Blue Meanies. It didn't go well.
James: Stayed on Earth and led a large band of survivors. Eventually murdered by Alphas, but while bleeding out was heard to state that he's fine with this, since he knew it'd be all downhill for humanity ever since Blink 182 became uncool.
