If I get told by one more person how my generation is "too obsessed" with social justice I'm going to start throwing my shoes at them.
You know why we privileged people who have no bombs falling onto our homes or civil war raging in our country can't shut up about the suffering of people far away even though "it's not our problem"? It's because we are fucking tired of growing hopeless about the state of the world outside our own made up borders, we are fed up with being told that we should just kill our sympathy and feel grateful that we got dealt a good hand and shut up about it.
We can see and hear the suffering and the horrors that people on the other side of the world are going through. We listen to their words pleading for help and demanding the justice and the minimum fucking fairness owed to them by those very same legislations that our richer countries put in place only to pretend they give a shit about human rights. We know by now that our politicians' words are just the lip service of imperialism and always have been, and just like every generation we want that to end now because we refuse to be complicit in it.
Believe it or not most people are not virtue signaling just by getting involved in political activism and it doesn't take a political science degree to understand what atrocity look like or that the complacency of the western governments is not just incompetence but a plan devised to bide their time in the hope that the evidence of their crimes simply disappears or gets buried in history and that their people just forget about it in order to feel better about themselves. That's what the censorship and propaganda campaign are about and we all fucking know it.
Fuck that. My whole life I'm going to call out the inertia and complete uselessness of the people who could have helped stop the massacres and the suffering of people all around the world and yet did nothing just to keep their paycheck. They are just as guilty as the ones providing bombs and tanks and all the other instruments of death that are ruining the lives of millions. "Annoying SJWs" doesn't even begin to describe how disrupting we are gonna get unless something gets done and no, this is not a threat, it's a promise grounded in the way human beings just fucking are once they have seen what evil looks like.

A small list of things I ( an American living paycheck to paycheck with copious amounts of loans) can do that the average Palestinian, Congolese, Sudanese, etc CANT do because of the long arm of colonialism and greed
1. Go to a store and have food stocked on shelves ready to purchase
2. Take a shower
3. Eat food of my choosing and even waste it if I want (I don’t)
4. Sleep in a home I know won’t be bombed by a racist regime
5. Hug my family members each day and tell them I love them without thinking it may be the last time I get to say it
6. Use my phone for things besides showing the destruction of my people and out homes
7. Cry and feel anger. Anger is a luxury. To feel angry that means you don’t have to feel sadness.
8. Drink clean water that hasn’t been contaminated with feces
9. Breath “clean” air (air not filled with smoke and rotting bodies)
10. Leave where I live and not be shot at by a sniper
The fact that some of the things on this list are so simple and easy and are basic human needs and ideals are heartbreaking. I can barely eat some days without think about the millions starving in these countries right now. The governments of this world need to burn. We deserve better than this evil. We deserve better than this hell we live in. We MUST come together and help. Freedom is contagious. Once people started talking about Palestine a spark was lit. Now more focus is on Yemen, Sudan, the conga, Myanmar, Nepal, Haiti, and too many other countries. We deserve freedom. And none of us will be free, whether it be freedom from capitalism, colonialism, white tears and fear, we will never be free until we are all free. Please if you don’t have the money to donate than at least pray, or simple speak with people on this topic. The world needs our help and I won’t fail her.

houthis (an organization that leads one of the sides of the yemeni civil war) just declared war on israel
they dont even control the entire country of yemen, they have a war on their hands, and theyre still choosing to fight by the side of palestine
and yet my khaleeji country with a gdp of $400 billion is too scared to help because theyre desperate for peace
my government embarasses me.

when people say "use your privilege" they don't mean use your privilege of distance to not speak on situations.
I'm seeing so many blogs not talk about the current attempts of Palestinian genocide (probably because they want to "keep their blog aesthetic") and I'm seeing barely anyone talk about the world wide rise in antisemitism or the current Armenian genocide
But I guess all that means for you is that pretty soon you might have to pretend to care about another ethnic group being wiped out* - must be hard /s
*until it stops being trendy...

[Spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sarea gives a statement after the U.S. announces the sinking of four Yemeni Naval vessels.]
🇾🇪⚔️🇺🇸 ⛴️ ☠️ 🚨
💥AMERICAN AND YEMENI NAVIES CLASH IN THE RED SEA AFTER YEMENI NAVAL VESSELS TARGET ISRAELI COMMERCIAL VESSEL💥
United States Central Command reported earlier Sunday that "Iranian-backed Houthi" small boats targeted an Israeli commercial vessel in the Red Sea around 6:30am (Sana'a time) on Dec. 31st and a distress call was sent out, after which, helicopters were dispatched from the American military vessels, USS Eisenhower and Gravely.
According to the U.S. statement, issued on the social media platform X, four small Yemeni Naval vessels came within 20-meters of the commercial vessel, attempting to board the ship. Security teams on the commercial ship then engaged with the Yemeni vessels with small arms fire.
After the U.S. helicopters arrived, U.S. CENTCOM claims, the Yemeni Naval vessels fired on the U.S. helicopters, which returned fire, sinking the four small Yemeni Naval vessels.
The Yemeni Armed Forces didn't challenge this version of events, adding that 10 Yemeni Naval personnel were killed. However, in a video statement (above) issued by Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Sarea, the Yemeni side noted that the Yemeni vessels attempted repeatedly to contact the commercial vessel by radio, and issued several warning before engaging with the ship.
"The targeting process came (only) after the ship's refusal to respond to warning calls from the Yemeni Navy," Sarea said in the statement.
"The Yemeni Armed Forces confirms what was stated in her previous statements regarding the passage of all Israeli vessels or vessels headed to the ports of occupied Palestine. With its full concern for maritime navigation to all destinations except for the Israeli entity," General Sarea added.
Sarea goes on to caution other countries and advises them not to be drawn into any American plans aimed at igniting conflict in the Red Sea, and warned the Yemeni Armed Forces would "not hesitate to confront any aggression against our country and our people."
He goes on to call on the Yemeni people to be alert and prepare for all possibilities for the sake of confronting American aggression, and points to America's complicity in Israeli crimes as a supporter of the Israeli entity.
Previously, the Yemeni Armed Forces warned it would attack any Israeli or other commercial vessels headed to or from ports in occupied Palestine. This has enforced a blockade on the Israeli entity, preventing a large portion of Israeli commercial trade from taking place and doing serious harm to Israel's economy.
U.S. Forces claim the Ansarallah movement-led Yemeni Armed Forces have launched more than 100 drone and missile strikes targeting commercial vessels in the Red Sea, resulting in the creation of a U.S.-led coation of mostly unenthusiastic Western-backers of the U.S. and Israel.
