The Assassin and The Sunshine
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You and Yelena were the most least-likely pair, or atleast that's what the avengers (Minus Natasha and Wanda) thought. So what happens when they see how the blonde acts when you get hurt
Warnings: Gunshots, medical stuff (minorly). Angry Yelena
----
Yelena Belova, with her steely gaze and lethal precision, was the epitome of intimidation among her peers. Her reputation as a formidable assassin preceded her, casting a shadow of fear wherever she went. With every calculated move and icy demeanor, she commanded respect and evoked a sense of unease among those around her. She was a force to be reckoned with, leaving a trail of apprehension in her wake.
And then there was you, Y/n Y/L/n. With a personality as bright as the sun and a heart as pure as gold, Y/n brought warmth and positivity to every situation. Her infectious laughter and unwavering kindness had a way of melting even the coldest of hearts, earning them the affectionate nickname of "the team's golden retriever."
Your gentle nature stood in stark contrast to Yelena's, and yet, somehow, the two of you had found a connection that defied explanation.
It wasn't easy, navigating a relationship with someone as closed-off as Yelena. She was slow to trust, and her walls were fortified with layers of steel. But you were patient, willing to chip away at those barriers bit by bit until you reached the heart of who she truly was.
The rest of the team couldn't understand it. They saw Yelena as an enigma, a formidable presence to be feared and respected. They couldn't fathom what you saw in her, why you would choose to be with someone so different from yourself.
"It's just... I don't get it," Tony remarked, glancing over at Yelena and you conversing in the corner of the room. "What's the deal with those two? Yelena's like a walking arsenal, and Y/n's... well, Y/n."
Steve nodded in agreement, his gaze following yours and Yelena's interaction. "I know what you mean, Tony. It's hard to imagine what they see in each other. They're like night and day."
Clint, who had been listening in on the conversation, chimed in with her own thoughts.
"Exactly! I still can't wrap my head around it," Clint admitted, scratching his head in confusion. "Yelena and Y/n... they're just so different from each other."
Bruce chuckled softly, glancing towards where you and Yelena were sitting. "Love is a strange thing, Clint. It's not always logical. Maybe Y/n sees something in Yelena that we don't."
Clint sighed, shaking his head. "I guess you're right. I just hope they know what they're doing."
--
It was a cold autumn day, and you found yourself on another mission alongside Natasha Tony, Steve, and Clint. The tension hung heavy in the air as the team moved with practiced precision through the dimly lit corridors of the enemy's stronghold.
The mission had been intense from the start, nearly dodging attacks at almost all turns, but as you ventured deeper into the heart of the HYDRA base, the atmosphere grew even more charged. Every step felt like a potential trap, every shadow a potential threat.
Suddenly, chaos erupted. Gunfire erupted from unseen assailants, and you found yourself instinctively stepping in front of Clint, shielding him from the onslaught. The impact was immediate, a searing pain lancing through your side as the bullets found their mark.
"Y/n!" Natasha's voice was a mix of alarm and concern as she rushed to your side, her expression tight with worry.
Clint knelt beside you, his hands hovering uncertainly over your injured form. "Y/n, are you okay?"
You managed a weak nod, gritting your teeth against the pain as Natasha and Tony quickly moved to assess your injuries.
"We need to get her out of here," Natasha declared, her voice firm as she glanced around the chaotic scene.
Steve's voice crackled over the comms. "Quinjet's on its way. Hold tight, we'll get you out of there."
As you were carefully lifted onto a stretcher, the team worked quickly to stabilize you. Despite the pain, you managed a weak smile, reassured by their presence.
"We've got you, Y/n," Tony said, his tone determined as he helped load you onto the Quinjet.
Clint squeezed your hand gently, his expression filled with worry. "Hang in there, okay? We'll get you patched up in no time."
You nodded weakly, feeling a surge of gratitude for your friends. As the Quinjet engines roared to life and the aircraft lifted off, you couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over you, knowing that even in the midst of danger, you had your closest friends by your side.
----
As the Quinjet touched down back at the base, the team wasted no time in transferring you to the medbay. Before Yelena could arrive, the medical team swiftly brought you into the operating room, shielding you from her sight.
Moments later, the door burst open again, and Yelena stormed in, her expression a mask of fury. Kate Bishop, who happened to be sparring with her when FRIDAY had informed Yelena of the news, was right beside her, offering silent support.
"Where is she?" Yelena demanded, her voice a dangerous growl, her eyes scanning the room for any sign of you.
Natasha stepped forward, her voice calm but firm. "Yelena, they've taken her into surgery. They're doing everything they can for her."
The blonde's tension only seemed to escalate at Natasha's words. "They better be taking care of her!" she barked, her tone sharp and threatening.
Tony and Steve exchanged uneasy glances as Yelena's fury filled the room. They shuffled awkwardly, intimidated by the practically burning blonde.
Yelena turned her rage on them, her eyes blazing with fury. "This is all your fault!" she accused, her voice cutting like a knife. "If anything happens to her, I'll make sure you all pay!"
Steve, ever the voice of reason, tried to reason with Yelena. "Yelena, we understand your concern, but right now our priority is getting her the help she needs."
Yelena's eyes flashed with fury. "Your priority should have been keeping her safe in the first place!" she shot back, her voice sharp with accusation, her Russian accent adding an extra edge to her words.
Tony, normally quick-witted, found himself at a loss for words in the face of Yelena's anger. "We did everything we could," he insisted, his tone defensive.
Clint, usually unflappable, shifted uncomfortably under Yelena's intense gaze. "Yelena, we're all worried about her. But yelling at us isn't going to help," he reasoned, trying to diffuse the tension.
But Yelena's rage was unyielding. "You think I care about your excuses?" she spat, her voice dripping with disdain. "All that matters to me is her. And if anything happens to her because of you…"
Natasha exchanged a knowing glance with Kate, silently acknowledging that it was time to intervene and calm Yelena down before her fury escalated further.
"Yelena," Natasha spoke softly but firmly, stepping closer to her friend, "I know you're scared. But yelling at them won't help Y/n."
Kate nodded in agreement, placing a gentle hand on Yelena's arm. "We're all worried about her," she added, her voice calm and reassuring. "But right now, we need to trust that Dr. Cho and Bruce knows what they're doing."
Yelena's anger seemed to waver for a moment as she looked between Natasha and Kate, her resolve beginning to soften.
Natasha continued, her voice gentle yet persuasive. "Y/n needs us to be strong for her right now. She needs you to be strong."
Kate nodded in agreement. "We're all in this together, Lena. We'll get through this, but we need to stay calm and focused."
Yelena's shoulders tensed, but gradually, the fire in her eyes began to dim as she took a deep breath, her anger giving way to concern for you. "I just want her to be okay," she admitted, her voice softer now, tinged with worry.
Natasha squeezed Yelena's hand reassuringly. "We all do," she said, her voice filled with empathy. "And Helen and Bruce will do everything we can to make sure she is."
As the tension in the room began to ease, Yelena nodded in silent agreement, her gaze lingering on the closed doors of the operating room where you lay.
Natasha gestured towards a nearby chair, silently inviting Yelena to sit beside her. Yelena hesitated for a moment before finally sinking into the seat, her body trembling with emotion.
Natasha wrapped an arm around her sister's shoulders, offering a comforting embrace. "It's going to be okay, Lena," she murmured, her voice soft and soothing.
Yelena leaned into Natasha's embrace, her walls crumbling as tears streamed down her cheeks. She buried her face against Natasha's shoulder, her sobs muffled against the fabric of her sister's uniform.
The other Avengers watched the scene unfold with a mixture of surprise and understanding, their eyes widening as they witnessed a side of Yelena they had never seen before.
Tony exchanged a glance with Steve, his eyebrows raised in disbelief. "Well, I'll be damned," he muttered under his breath, a hint of admiration in his voice.
"She's stable"
---
The steady beeping of the monitors filled the room as you blinked away the fog of anesthesia, your senses gradually coming back to you.
As your eyes fluttered open, you were met with the sight of Yelena sitting beside you, her expression soft and full of concern. "Hey," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper as you reached out to her.
Yelena's eyes widened in surprise at the sight of you awake, but she quickly composed herself, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips as she took your hand in hers. "Hey," she replied, her voice gentle and full of warmth.
Relief flooded through you as you squeezed her hand, grateful for her presence by your side. But, as you squeezed Yelena's hand, a wave of concern washed over you when you noticed the tears welling up in her eyes. "Lena, what's wrong?" you asked, your voice filled with worry as you reached out to gently cup her face with your hand.
Yelena's lower lip trembled slightly as she tried to compose herself, but the floodgates had opened, and tears began to trickle down her cheeks. "I was so scared," she admitted softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "I thought... I thought I might lose you."
You pulled her into a gentle embrace, holding her close as she cried softly against your chest, which hadn't be affected much, and was already fixing up thanks to Bruce's cell regenerator.
"Hey, it's okay. I'm right here," you whispered softly, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
Yelena leaned into your embrace, her tears gradually subsiding as she took comfort in your presence. "I was so scared," she admitted again, her voice trembling slightly.
You brushed a strand of hair away from her face, offering her a small smile. "I know, Lena. But I'm okay now. You're the one who's always saving me, even when you're not anywhere near me," you said sincerely, squeezing her hand reassuringly.
Yelena's lips twitched slightly, a hint of amusement flickering in her eyes. "Yeah, well, don't expect me to always save you," she teased lightly, a small chuckle escaping her lips, as she resorted to her usual coping method of humour.
You grinned, feeling a surge of affection for the woman in your arms. "Oh, come on, Lena. You love playing the hero," you teased right back, trying to lighten the mood.
A genuine smile spread across Yelena's face for the first time since you'd woken up. "I kinda do" she chuckled, shrugging nonchalantly, before the both of you started laughing.
But as the laughter faded, a heaviness settled in the air once again. Yelena's eyes clouded with sadness, the weight of the situation crashing down on her once more.
You reached out, cupping her face in your hands. "Hey, Lena. It's okay to be scared," you said softly, your voice filled with empathy. "But we're together now. And we'll get through this, I promise."
As the Avengers stood at the door, watching the unexpected tenderness between you and Yelena, they exchanged surprised glances.
Tony raised an eyebrow, his voice laced with disbelief. " The White widow is a softie after all, what would you know?"
Steve nodded in agreement, a small smile playing on his lips. "Seems like we all jumped to conclusions too quickly."
Bucky, who had been silently observing, chimed in. " I guess, they are perfect for each other hm"
Clint chuckled, shaking his head in amazement. "Never thought I'd see the day when Yelena Belova was making someone laugh."
As they listened to the laughter emanating from the room, as you and Yelena continue to make each other laugh, the Avengers couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for the unexpected bond between you and Yelena. It was a reminder that sometimes, people were more than their tough exteriors.

Now presenting…the trope of two sisters who have been estranged for years after the older sister abandoned the younger sister unintentionally when trying to protect her and who reunite during traumatic circumstances where the older sister becomes extremely overprotective of the younger sister and their sisterhood grows stronger than ever but the younger sister is still struggling with the feelings of abandonment which creates some conflict between the two.

“Don’t let them take your heart.”
“We’re both upside down.”

Meeting The Sister
Tumblr media
Yelena Belova x Female Reader
Summary: you meet her sister for the first time
Warnings: none, protective Nat and clumsy you
P.S I had this already posted, but they were deleted, so I'm reposting them
_____
The neon lights painted the cityscape in hues of red and blue as you nervously waited for Yelena Belova to arrive. The bar's dimly lit interior buzzed with laughter and music, but your focus was on the door. The idea of meeting Yelena's sister, Natasha Romanoff, and her girlfriend, Wanda Maximoff, was enough to make your palms sweaty.
Yelena finally entered, her confident stride cutting through the crowd. A smirk played on her lips as she approached, her green eyes locking onto yours. "Привет, jittery one. Ready for this adventure?"
You managed a half-smile, "Adventure? More like a nerve-wracking social experiment. What if I crash and burn?"
Yelena chuckled, leaning in for a quick kiss. "Relax, любовь. You're charming as hell. They'll adore you."
Together, you found a corner table and settled in. The minutes dragged on slowly until the door swung open, and Natasha and Wanda strolled in. Yelena's face lit up, and she enthusiastically greeted Natasha, pulling her into a hug. Wanda, a familiar face, greeted you with a casual wave.
"Hey, Wanda. Good to see you again," you said, aiming for a laid-back tone despite the adrenaline pulsing through your veins.
Wanda smirked, taking a seat. "Chill, it's just a laid-back evening."
The conversation flowed, but there was an undeniable stiffness in the air. Natasha's sharp eyes observed you, and she maintained a certain formality. As the night progressed, you couldn't shake the feeling that you were being evaluated.
Natasha finally turned to you, her voice measured. "So, Yelena's been keeping you a secret. What's your deal?"
You leaned back, adopting a nonchalant demeanor. "Ah, just your average agent trying to navigate the chaos. Yelena's been my partner in crime. Figuratively, of course."
Natasha's gaze remained sharp. "Partner in crime, huh? What kind of crimes are we talking about here?"
You chuckled, meeting her gaze. "The thrilling kind. Espionage, saving the world, the usual. You know the drill."
Wanda, sensing the tension, interjected with a casual smile. "Let's not turn this into an interrogation, Nat. We're here to have a good time."
Yelena, feeling a bit defensive, crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Exactly, Natasha. No need to grill us. We're here for a good night, not a debrief."
You reached out, gently placing a hand on Yelena's arm to reassure her. "Yelena's right. No need for a debrief. We're just here to enjoy each other's company."
Yelena, realizing her defensiveness, relaxed slightly, offering a sheepish smile. "Sorry, I'm just protective. You know how it is."
Natasha, observing the exchange, nodded. "Understandable. Partners in crime tend to stick together."
You grinned, adding a touch of humor. "Exactly! Besides, who else is going to appreciate my impeccable taste in secret missions?"
Wanda, with a smirk, chimed in, "I'm sure it's a very unique taste."
The conversation shifted to more lighthearted topics, with everyone sharing anecdotes and jokes. Yelena, now more at ease, joined in the banter, contributing her own sarcastic remarks and playfully nudging Natasha.
Wanda, with her Sokovian charm, added her own touch to the banter, creating a dynamic where each person's personality shone through. You found yourself trading jokes with Wanda, engaging in playful banter with Yelena, and occasionally meeting Natasha's gaze with a shared understanding.
Wanda grinned, raising her glass. "So, how did you two meet? Any thrilling story to share?"
You exchanged a glance with Yelena, and a playful smirk crossed your lips. "Well, it all started in a high-stakes mission. Yelena was in a tight spot, and I swooped in, saved the day, you know, the usual hero stuff."
Yelena rolled her eyes, but a fond smile played on her lips. "More like you tripped over your own feet and stumbled into my mission."
Natasha, now intrigued, leaned in. "A clumsy hero, huh? That's unexpected."
You shrugged, grinning. "Hey, every hero has a less-than-glamorous origin story, right?"
Yelena, seizing the opportunity to tease you, launched into a ramble. "Oh, let me tell you about their impeccable coordination skills. I've never seen someone tumble and twist in so many creative ways. It's a wonder they get anything done without tripping over their own shadow."
Yelena continued, "And remember the time they mistook a janitor for an enemy agent and tackled them in the middle of a mission?"
You shot her a playful glare. "Okay, that one was an honest mistake. In my defense, they were wearing all black and carrying a mop like a weapon!"
Wanda burst into laughter, and Natasha couldn't help but crack a smile. "Quite the impressive track record you've got there."
You sighed dramatically. "My secret identity as a spy is hanging by a thread with Yelena here revealing all my not-so-heroic exploits."
Yelena, leaning in, planted a quick kiss on your cheek. "Oh, don't worry, beloved. Your not-so-heroic moments make you even more endearing."
You couldn't help but look at Yelena with a mix of embarrassment and fondness. Natasha, ever observant, raised an eyebrow with a knowing smile. "Seems like there's a lot more charm to this clumsy hero than meets the eye."
Yelena winked at Natasha, "Well, charm and a top-level clearance that I conveniently forgot to mention. Just a minor detail."
The table fell silent for a moment, and you could practically feel the raised eyebrows. Natasha's gaze became more intense, and Wanda looked intrigued.
Yelena, catching on to your embarrassment, chuckled. "Oh, did I forget to mention that my charming klutz here has access to the highest level of clearance? Just a minor detail."
You shot Yelena a playful glare, and she grinned mischievously, knowing she had just added a new layer to the intrigue. Natasha arched an eyebrow, intrigued by the revelation.
Natasha finally spoke, "Top-level clearance, huh? Interesting."
You nodded, trying to downplay it. "Well, two levels above you, Natasha. Not that it's a big deal."
Wanda, with a sly grin, added, "Looks like we've got a high roller in the house."
Yelena, ever the protective sister, shot a warning look at Natasha and Wanda. "Easy, both of you. It's not a competition."
You chimed in, "Yeah, just a quirky detail in the grand scheme of things. Family comes in all clearance levels, right?"
Wanda laughed, and Natasha smirked, "Family comes in all clearance levels, indeed."
The atmosphere lightened up as the conversation moved on to more casual topics. The initial tension began to dissipate, and you found yourself sharing laughs and stories with the group. Yelena, always quick with a sarcastic remark, added her own flavor to the banter.
As the night progressed, the initial awkwardness transformed into a genuine connection. Natasha, initially reserved, couldn't help but crack a smile at some of the anecdotes shared. Wanda, with her infectious laughter, created a comfortable ambiance.
You raised your glass, "To unexpected friendships and top-level clearances!"
The clinking of glasses echoed through the bar as the night unfolded with laughter, camaraderie, and a newfound understanding among the eclectic group.

Kate: …and how was it when you two met again?
Natasha: She threw me against a wall, tried to hit me with a knife and in the end tried to hang me.
Kate smiles: Typical of my Yelena.
Natasha: And how was it with you?
Kate: It was even very funny... She broke into my apartment, I threw the hot sauce at her, not success... and then we ate mac cheese together.
Natasha:
Kate: I should worry?
Natasha: You? No, never! I do.

Notes: I haven’t written much lately but had more inspiration recently. Thank you to @widowsistersandfriends for this great idea that happens to go so well with Speak Now TV coming out! 💜💜 Hope you guys like it!
Word Count: 2,037
Summary: Natasha, Yelena, Kate, and Clint crash a wedding.
“I’m boreddddd.”
“We’re literally hanging off the side of a building, Yelena.”
“Exactly. Boring. Amateur hour.”
Kate huffs at her blonde counterpart as she struggles with the cable suspending her 30 feet in the air.  “Well, this is exciting for me.”
“Proving my point about amateur hour, Kate Bishop.”
“Yelena.” Natasha chides her sister over their shared coms, though to be fair, she’s feeling rather bored herself as she resists the urge to fiddle with the hem of the elegant purple dress she wore.
Clint is being less discrete in his discomfort next to her, openly complaining about the itchiness of his suit. “Why did we take this job again?”
“Because it was Kate’s turn to pick the mission.” Yelena mumbles, chewing on a snickers bar loudly in their ears.
“What? I’ve always wanted to crash a wedding!”
“Because that’s the only way you’d ever get to one.” Yelena smirks over at the younger archer from her place on the side of the building.
Kate pouts at that. “I’ll have you know I had many suitors!”
Yelena laughs, “Ha! They probably just wanted to pet Lucky and you thought they were interested.”
“You must know from your experience with Fanny.” Kate shoots back quickly.
“Please, I could get a date faster than you could sneeze, Kate Bishop.”
“Then why don’t you huh?”
The blonde shrugs, stuffing the candy bar wrapper in her pocket. “Not interested.”
Clint chimes in over the coms, “Kate if you want advice on getting a date ask Nat. She’s the pro.”
“You’re the one that’s married Barton.” They can all practically hear the eye roll in the redhead’s voice.
“You always say you have no idea how I won Laura over.”
“And I stand by that statement.”
“Which makes you the dating expert, not me.”
“Ha, not even.” Natasha scoffs, resisting the urge to shove her friend across the table.
“I’ve seen you turn down a total of 5 marriage proposals.”
“FIVE??” Kate exclaims.
“Five more than you’ll ever get Kate Bishop.” Yelena smirks, though internally she’s surprised by this news too. She knew many were interested in her sister, but marriage proposals were a bit too bold for her liking. No one deserved Natasha in her opinion.
“Not five.” Natasha shoots back, quickly lowering her voice. Clint raises an eyebrow and the redhead huffs.
“…Seven.” (Maybe more to be honest, but Natasha wasn’t about to say that). “Besides, you’ve had your share of fangirls too, Barton.”
“You mean Kate.” Yelena chimes in.
“Hey!” Kate exclaims, turning bright red and flopping back against the building in a huff.
The blonde shrugs with a grin, “What, just stating facts.”
“I’m not…” Kate sputters, looking for some defense.
Natasha laughs, “Don’t let her rile you up Kate.”
Clint chuckles in the background, “Don’t worry Kate. I don’t have fangirls anyway.”
“Paris.” Natasha states quickly.
“….Fine. I had one fan girl. One. But I haven’t turned down seven proposals like you!”
Natasha rolls her eyes, “I had literally just met them!”
Clint shrugs, “A few of them had promise.”
“They did not.” Natasha is surprised to hear Yelena saying the same words as her at the same time. She smiles internally at the protectiveness she hears in the blonde’s voice.
“What about that girl in Moscow?” Clint grins evilly.
Natasha bites back a blush. “She didn’t propose.”
“Right. You were the one that wanted to.”
“Can we focus on the mission?”
“Wait, what girl?” Yelena asks suspiciously.
“No one.” Natasha snaps. She can tell her sister wants to press more, but at that instant loud music starts to play. The black widow has never been happier for a wedding to start in her life.
Clint and Natasha stand and make their way to their seats in the well-decorated function hall. “I don’t see any suspects. What do you guys see up there?”
“All normal.” Natasha can hear the slight suspicion in her sister’s voice and huffs, knowing they were going to have a conversation later about that girl in Moscow.
“Wait.”
Both Natasha and Clint tense at that, reaching slowly to their concealed weapons.
“…Is that an ice cream truck?”
Natasha sighs, “Really Yelena.”
“Oh yeah it is! We should get some after!” Kate exclaims excitedly.
Clint huffs, “You guys do know you’re supposed to be conducting surveillance.”
“Right. Sorry.” Kate quickly snaps back to attention, eager to please her teammates.
Yelena rolls her eyes at the young archer’s eagerness. “Relax Barton. There’s nothing.”
“So you say.”
But the wedding ceremony continues to progress without signs of incident. The wedding party proceeds to the front and the bride and groom begin to exchange vows as Clint and Natasha take their seats.
“Wait.” This time everyone knows Yelena is serious. “The suspect is here. Back right exit door. About 10 thugs with him it looks like. This wedding is about to get messy.”
“Stay there! We need a distraction first.” Clint gives Natasha a look.
“Oh hell no.” Natasha resists, realizing what Clint was implying.
“I can’t do it, I’m married!”
“Like that’s stopped you from responding to fangirl mail!”
“That’s completely different! Besides I just say thanks for writing.”
“This doesn’t even mean anything! It’s an act!”
“So why can’t you do it?”
“What are they arguing about?” Kate asks Yelena in confusion in the background. The blonde just huffs, having some idea about what was going on but not being too happy about it.
“Fine!” Natasha gives Clint a glare before turning back to the stage. Clint gives an innocent smile and slips away to his position.
They wait a few more minutes until the officiator finally says the words “If anyone objects to this marriage, speak now or forever hold your peace.”
Natasha grits her teeth but stands up confidently, raising her hand. “I object!”
All eyes turn to her, and she can see the headlines already. Black Widow crashes a wedding in New York. Does she have a secret lover? Black Widow: The Homewrecker.
She was gonna kill Clint.
She honestly hated when everyone watched her. It went against her very nature as a spy. But no one would ever be able to tell that from looking at her as she stood cool and calm, facing the shocked couple on stage.
The only person that would notice her discomfort now was currently smashing through a window on the floor below, dragging Kate in behind to ambush the thugs before they made it to the floor of the wedding. Natasha didn’t see Clint anywhere but heard sounds of the fight in her ear. She was annoyed at being left out of the action and dealing with this scrutiny, but she supposes she’s been here before. If she could stare down nation leaders, she could handle crashing a wedding.
She steps out into the aisle, already hearing the whispers. “That’s the Black Widow!”
The officiator looks at her in surprise, “Um, yes? Miss..Romanoff? What would you like to say?”
The Black Widow walks up confidently, Natasha having fully assumed her alter ego at this point. “Well, I’d like to say that I object to the wedding here between Matthew and Morgan.”
The bride’s eyes widen even further, “What is this, Matthew??”
The groom shakes his head rapidly, “I swear I’ve never seen her before! At least…not in person!”
“I’m not here to break up your wedding,” Natasha states loudly enough for everyone to hear. Then she lowers her voice and steps closer to the couple so only they could hear. “I’m here because your brother, Matthew, has been selling stolen Stark tech to pay off a deep debt that he owes.” She turns to the bride, “To a man that happens to be your estranged father. He’s here with his thugs to collect that debt.” She nods at the brother who is standing in the best man position, looking nervous and guilty.
“What?” Both the bride and groom exclaim. Matthew turns and pulls his brother to the side for some harsh words.
“My father is here?” Morgan asks with wide eyes.
Natasha softens a bit. She feels bad for how this couple’s special day is going. “I’m sorry, we’re taking out his men as we speak. We didn’t mean to cause so much disruption, but it couldn’t be helped. They were going to barge in and go right for your soon to be brother-in-law. They knew he’d be here.”
“Our families grew up together. He was always my least favorite.” Morgan mumbles. “What will become of my father? Should I talk to him?”
Natasha gives the woman a sympathetic look. “He’ll be in custody, but we know the background of this feud. It seems to be internal with your families, hopefully that will allow it to be resolved faster. There’s nothing you can do at the moment.”
The bride nods, “Should…the wedding continue?” She looks around at her bewildered guests.
Natasha smiles and looks over to the other room where the groom and his brother are arguing. “Yes, have your day. Just a minute.”
She reaches the men just in time for her to catch a brother’s punch at the groom. “HEY!” She spins him around and jams his shoulder into the wall. “You got yourself into this mess! Don’t take it out on him!” The man can only whimper under the painful hold the widow has him in. Natasha leans closer to him in anger. “You listen very clearly. You’re going to go back out there and stand and support your brother on the happiest day of his life. Then you’re going to go outside and get in the police car waiting for you. If you take any diversions from those steps, you’ll be greeted by my teammates who I assure you will be less nice than the police.”
“Please let us greet him. I’m boredddd.” Yelena yawns, sitting on the legs of a tied-up thug who tried to roll around in his bonds.
The redhead doesn’t answer her sister but gives the brother a hard glare. The man gulps and nods rapidly. She then goes to the groom and straightens out his bowtie. “Sorry to ruin your day. Go out there and marry your girl.”
Matthew shakes his head, feeling bewildered by everything that had just happened. But he climbs back onto the stage and grabs the bride’s hands, motioning for the officiator to continue.
As the bride and groom kiss and are announced as a couple, the two archers and the blonde come up next to Natasha at the back of the venue. All perpetrators apprehended.
“Makes me remember my wedding.” Clint smiles fondly.
Natasha quirks an eyebrow, “Your wedding was in the middle of a firefight in Moscow with Fury yelling the officiating from his tank.”
“Don’t be jealous Nat.”
The redhead rolls her eyes but smiles fondly at the memory as well. She had been so new to SHIELD then, but seeing Laura and Clint together made her believe in something for the first time in years.
“So…can we get ice cream now?”
“Wow Yelena, so romantic.” Kate teases, but secretly was thinking the same thing.
“What? I’m hungry. I ran out of candy bars. Besides, I’m not old and gross like these two. Appreciating weddings. Bah. Have you ever seen a Heckler and Koch Grenade Launcher? Now that’s real beauty.”
Clint rolls his eyes but heads off toward the ice cream truck, beckoning Kate to follow. Yelena turns back to her sister who is still watching the newlyweds exit the venue.
“You wanted to get married didn’t you.”
Natasha tilts her head at her sister. “I’ve wanted a lot of things, but that was never one of them.”
“You don’t want the house renovator husband I gave you?”
Natasha snorts. “Absolutely not.”
“What about that Moscow girl?”
The black widow stops and eyes her sister seriously. “She wasn’t anything.”
“Uh huh.” Yelena says disbelievingly, but she can tell her sister wouldn’t be talking about it further so doesn’t press.
“Besides,” Natasha walks up to the ice cream cart and grabs something for Yelena, booping a bit of ice cream on the girl’s nose before handing her the cone, causing the blonde to huff. “I wouldn’t want to get boreddd.”

final part in the blackhill band au. Nat and Maria go public !
a/n: this was supposed to be out yesterday, but i fell asleep while editing, so sorry and hope you enjoy !
Tumblr media
This was it. August 14, 2023. United Center, Chicago, Illinois. After tonight, Maria and Natasha’s relationship would be revealed to the public. To say Maria was nervous would be an understatement. A gross understatement.
“Ria, calm down. It’s just like any other concert.” Natasha’s gentle voice was enough to make Maria calm down a bit.
“Except it’s not just any other concert. We’re about to announce our relationship to the world, aren’t you the least bit nervous?” Maria asked. Of course she was excited to tell the world about her and her wife, but the fact that their lack of privacy is about to get worse bothered her.
Natasha got up from her place at Maria's vanity and went to sit on her lap. “No.” Natasha stated matter of factly; looking into Maria's nervous gaze. “I’m not nervous at all. I love you, you love me. We’ve been together for so long, the world knowing won’t change our relationship. We’ll still be Ria and Nat, we’ll just have a million fans.” She watched Maria absorb her words and felt the nervous tension melt out of her.
"You're right. You're always right, it's actually annoying." Nat chuckled and began stroking Maria's hair when she leaned her head forward on Natasha's exposed skin and exhaled. The redhead had on a black v-neck and Maria was grateful because she enjoyed the skin to skin contact. She pressed a firm kiss right where Natasha's heart is before slowly kissing her way up.
"Don't start something you can't finish." Natasha warned while tilting her to allow Maria more access. Maria paused her actions, "Who says I can't finish?" the brunette asked before resuming. Natasha tightened her grip on Maria's hair before pulling her away from her neck, forcing Maria to look up at her. "Me, because you're incapable of having a quickie. Your idea of a quickie is longer than an hour which is time we don't have." Natasha loved her wife dearly, but there is nothing quick about sex with Maria; the woman was insatiable.
"That's not my fault." Maria pouted, "Have you seen you?" Nat leaned down and pecked Maria's lips. "Everyday, but it still doesn't explain how you can be quick in every aspect of life except during a quickie. It's literally in the name, Mia."
"It's simple, I like to take my time and worship every single inch of your body and I can't do that in 60 minutes or less." Maria explained, as if it was the most logical thing ever. Which it was.
"My point exactly. Now, I need to finalize my outfit and you need to get Carol and Maria because you have to be on stage in 15 minutes." Natasha said before getting off her wife's lap. However, not before she was pulled into a kiss that left her breathless. Honestly, if it weren’t for the fact that there was a stadium full of fans, Natasha would rethink their ‘quickie’.
Once Natasha left, Maria walked over to her vanity to finish making herself look presentable. After she was satisfied, she walked across the hall to Carol and Maria R's dressing room. "Carol, get your head from between Maria's thighs and let's go!" she shouted through the door. "Fuck off, Hill! We'll be out in 5 minutes." Carol yelled back.
Inside the room, Maria Rambeau let out a breathless laugh, still recovering from her recent orgasm. "I swear she has a sixth sense that tells her when we've had sex because she always knows." Carol huffed, rolling her eyes from her place on the floor; her head had indeed been between her wife's thighs but Hill didn't need to know that. "You do the same to her." Maria reminded her. Carol didn't reply because her wife was right, like always.
10 minutes later, the 3 women were backstage waiting for the cue to go on. "You ready for this Hill?" Maria Rambeau asked, referring to Maria revealing her marriage tonight. "As ready as I'll ever be." Maria answered, confidently.

“That's the beauty of a secret you know you're supposed to keep it but I don't have to fucking tell you anything, anything” Maria finished singing the outro for Strange Love, which tonight was the last song on the setlist when it's usually the first. However, since they were bringing Natasha out soon, Maria thought it would be fitting to put the first song she ever wrote about Natasha last. The crowd was screaming and Maria couldn't help but smile because they did this; her, Carol, and Maria. Tour always made her happy because she really loved her fans, but she can't lie and say she won't be happy to stay home and just be with Nat.
"So, as many of you know, Chicago is my hometown. I love it here and I love all of you. That being said, I have a surprise. We have a new song dropping tomorrow and tonight, you'll be the first to hear it." The crowd went crazy with screams. Maria loved the energy which helped calm her nerves for the inevitable reveal. "As with many of the songs I write, this one is about my beloved wife, who happens to be here tonight. I'm not telling you where though, you'll have to figure it out yourselves." Maria could see heads turning trying to see where Natasha could be but unbeknownst to them, Natasha wasn't in the crowd.
Maria turned her attention to Rambeau and Carol, who nodded in encouragement before starting the music. "This one is called She's My Collar." she announced before beginning
"If I could take her down and run, then I'd call her 'Cause she's standing drama, she know I'll call her She's getting on the sun and then she ordered Imagine me, imagine me now"
Tumblr media
Backstage in a long burgundy dress with black detailing stood Natasha Romanoff-Hill. Her red hair was currently pinned and hidden under her dress, she had on 5 inch burgundy heels to match her dress. Next to her, was her sister Yelena Belova – soon to be Maximoff-Belova – who was finishing up her older sisters' makeup.
"Are you nervous?" Yelena asked as she finished up. While Natasha did have her own makeup artist, she liked having Yelena do it for really big moments because they meant more.
"No. Not at all." the redhead spoke matter of factly. She had told her wife the truth earlier, she wasn't nervous at all. "I love Maria. Maria loves me. The world knowing will never change that."
"Well, then good luck Sestra. I'll be watching with Wanda." Yelena said, squeezing her hands before leaving to find her fiancee. Natasha watched her little sister go and couldn't help but smile. She really loved her sister. Nat turned to the mirror and saw the finished product. I'm definitely getting Yelena whatever she wants, this has to be her best look yet she thought to herself.
"Two minutes, Miss Romanoff. Please get in position." A stage manager came to Natasha before rushing to go handle something. Nat took a deep breath before taking her place in the wings. "She's the one I'm running with she's the one I'm running with she's the one I'm running with She's my collar" Her verse was next, it was time.
Tumblr media
"I'm yellow, she was blue it's nothing that she could hide" Natasha sang, her gaze focused on nothing but her wife. Maria was stunned, Natasha was a vision in red and made her breathless. "We made a green meadow whenever we would collide" Nat made her way to Maria, who finally snapped out of her haze. The taller woman smiled at her wife before placing a kiss on the back of her free hand. "I died a thousand times, I did what I had to do. Hey, that's just how it goes I'm still coming back to you" When Natasha finished her final verse, she gave Maria a big smile.
"I don't take her number, just don't think I'd call her (you, you, you) I take her down to somewhere dreading all day (you, you, you, you) I clear my system, I don't need no other (you, you, you) This is my persona, secret lover (she's my collar)" They sang together in perfect unison. In sync like always.
"She's the one I'm running with She's the one I'm running with She's the one I'm running with. She's my collar" Maria sung the final words of the song with finality before pulling Natasha into a searing kiss. Nat wrapped her arms around her wife's neck returning the kiss just as much feeling.
"Chicago, I'd like to introduce you to the love of my life; Natasha Romanoff-Hill." Pandemonium. All around you only heard screaming and in the sea of people, you could only see phones. "Nice to meet you all properly." Natasha mused. The crowd was in awe at the reveal, they couldn't believe it.
"Since our tour is coming to an end, Carol, Rambeau, and myself decided you guys needed a surprise because you're fucking amazing, so the new song was that. Nat coming out here was simply me wanting the world to know that I am in love with this amazing woman and we've been together for 10 years." Maria spoke excitedly. The nervousness she felt earlier seemed silly now. Of course her fans loved Natasha. Who wouldn't?
Tumblr media
After finally telling the crowd goodnight, clearing out the dressing room, and fighting through the heaps of paps, Natasha and Maria we're settled into the condo Maria had there. The two women were happy to relax in the privacy of their home. Since the reveal and the walk to the limo, their phones had been blowing up which led them to being turned off for the night.
"Well, this has to be the most exciting anniversary we've ever had." Nat's voice broke their comfortable silence. The redhead was still in her dress from earlier only now her hair was in a messy bun as she took off her makeup.
"What about that one anniversary we went skydiving together?" Maria questioned leaning in the doorway wearing the sports bra and sweats she changed into after the show. She stood, admiring her wife. 13 years together, 10 of them as a married couple, and Natasha's beauty still takes Maria's breath away.
"While that was fun and exciting; but this was better. Now the world knows you're mine." Green connected with blue through the mirror and the tension increased by tenfold. Maria walked behind her and placed a delicate kiss on her neck. "Now the world knows you're mine." Maria echoed. "I didn't get to tell you earlier, but you look gorgeous." Maria complimented.
Natasha hummed. "Thank you, I thought it would be perfect for tonight. I was hoping you'd like it." She had gotten the dress months ago and never found an occasion to wear it for.
"Like it? I love it and I'm going to love it a lot more on our bedroom floor." Maria said before picking Natasha up bridal style and carrying her to the bed. She had plans for her wife and they definitely didn't involve wearing that dress, no matter how pretty it was.
Outside, the world was freaking out about the news that Lesbian Fury and Russian Roulette's lead singers were not only in a relationship, but married. Their lives were forever changed. They'd have to do interviews and such in the future, but that was later. Right now, they planned on enjoying each other as much as they could because in their room, they were just Ria and Nat.

Wanda: The kids are asleep.
Nat: We don’t have kids?
Wanda: Then why are Yelena’s drawings on our fridge?
Nat: Because she needs to know she did a good job, and we’re proud of her.
Wanda: Mhm. Definitely not our kid.
