Might as well considering I actually do have a wip that I’ll probably never finish from the poker date. I was going for Buck ends up thinking Eddie meant for this to be a date, and Eddie did not in fact mean for that because he would have thought of a much better first date than an LAFD poker night.

So now here he is, next to a suit-clad Eddie Diaz, trying not to drool as they walk down the alley to the mystery poker game. 

Buck’s not blind, he knows Eddie's attractive - hell, he’s even seen Eddie in a suit before at Hen and Karen's second wedding - but that doesn't prepare him for how he feels this time. 

It’s just, Eddie’s not usually in a suit, and he looks damn good in it. 

Why does Eddie not wear suits every day?

Not only that, but he’s acting differently too, more charming and confident than usual in a way that almost makes this seem like a- 

He knocks on the back door looking down then back up at Buck, almost smug, there’s a joke Buck isn’t in on, and Buck’s starting to think that maybe he knows what it is. 

“Low stakes game.”

i love big plushies so much. like i love my small ones too, they're really wonderful in different situations ofc. but there's something so healing about holding something so big and so soft and feeling the same way i did when i was younger. it's so nice :>

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

i know it’s like years old at this point but i love that one collab mumbo and grian did with tommyinnit bc it’s like the single most concentrated example i’ve seen of mumbo’s Chaos Nullification Powers

you get to see a bit of it on hermitcraft, mostly via his interactions with grian, but until seeing that collab it didn’t really hit me just how completely mumbo can no-sell other people’s attempts to control a situation. tommyinnit is possibly the single shoutiest, most chaotic minecraft youtuber out there, and in most videos i’ve seen he pretty much overwhelms everyone else and sets the tone for interactions because of this. but mumbo just. doesn’t let him. no matter how much tommy escalates in intensity, mumbo reacts with *exactly* the same energy he always does. grian largely comes across in the whole video as annoyed and reluctant to engage with the whole thing, but mumbo’s not even affected. he just rolls with anything he finds funny and basically ignores anything he disapproves of, only seeming more and more unflappable the harder anyone tries to get a rise out of him.

AND imo, this is the key to my favorite interpretation of him as a character

see, when the people around him are being more reasonable/calm, i think mumbo often comes across as anxious and a bit easily overwhelmed. the thing is, his nervous wet cat vibes do not scale. he has one setting. his responses to the last life ‘ah-ha!’ jokes and to hermitcraft 8 starting to crumble to pieces under a falling moon are almost identical.

mumbo jumbo is inexorably and eternally Just Some Guy, but that gets stranger and stranger the weirder his surroundings become. the giggly incredulousness that makes him an easy target for goofy puns looks Very different when it’s also his reaction to the impending end of the world.

Danny accidentally starts beef with batman over kids

So I'm a sucker for dani and dan being Danny's kids (bonus points if danny gets called mum) and both of them are chaotic

The bat kids (family all of them batman and alfred included) are chaotic as well danny learns this after freshly joining the league as the semi immortal possibly from the start of time phantom and the league are introducing him to everyone and bonding and mentioning some of the wacky how the fuck shit that batman and his kids have done

So danny mentions some of the stuff his kids have done whilst batman is passing by, batman who hasn't had a nap in the past 72 hours and the day before as bruce was dealing with margie on the pta

And he makes a comment just a tiny one about how his kids saved a group from a hostage situation

And thus the rivalry began danny and batman keep bragging to each other about their kids sometimes it's vigilante stuff sometimes it mundane danny brags about how dani is so good with animals batman brags about how his youngest volunteers at the animal shelter

Just give me batman and danny bragging about their children to each other

Idk why but I remembered something that happened online a few days ago and I'm trying not to laugh at myself because of how i reacted

Ok so i was playing a horror map with a couple of friends, which happened to be both console and VR accessable, which does play in for me btw because i play the game in VR. The whole map tho being about you're being hunted by creatures with no eyes so they go off sound of where you are kinda deal.

Ok so we were playing, whatever doing puzzles and stuff.

I was up a ramp, closer to where we spawned in that portion of the map because i thought that was where we were supposed to go next so i was just waiting there for the other two to be done since it was crammed where the other two were though of course i stayed visible to them.

Turns out... that that was NOT where i was supposed to be because the animation of the monster appeared and was RIGHT next to me and starred chasing my friends to where we were ALL supposed to be at.

One of my friends panicked and yelled my name before being chased while my dumbass froze in fear and put my hands up in a "i surrender" pose (remember how i said i play in VR? Well as you can guess my hands were up like that irl too)... To a monster with NO EYES

We were all kinda "linked together" for where to go so the next loading screen i was with them so everything went fine. But we were all joking about my reaction (myself included of course because it was funny to me the fact that it WORKED) and one of my friends actually said how, in a realistic standpoint if this was irl and not a videogame, how smart that'll be to just stay completely still and silent like that.

Yeah 5 seconds later the monster appeared again and 2/3 of us (me and the only one of the three of us not in VR since console people can do it too) instantly did the hands up thing again... Though that time it didn't work but we were laughing through that jumpscare cutscene
