Memories - Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: an argument with your girlfriend leads to some memories resurfacing
warnings: angst with a happy(ish) ending, mentions of previous abusive relationships, throwing up
The sound of your bedroom door slamming shut as your girlfriend stormed out startled you out of your daze. You had been fighting with her before you zoned out, having flashbacks to previous relationships.
Wanda assumed you were choosing to ignore her, eventually leaving you alone with your terrifying thoughts.
It was your fault that the fight had started, it wasn't a big deal and you had made it one.
Voices echoed throughout your racing mind, abusive words from your exes that had ingrained themselves into your mind. You thought you were healed and past that, but clearly not.
Tears began to fall from your tired eyes, the days and nights of fighting not allowing you to get much rest. Your chest was tight and the eerie silence in your home allowed your thoughts to manifest and amplify.
Quickly, you ran to the bathroom and fell to your knees, emptying the contents of your stomach into the toilet. You continued to do so until you were dry heaving, the sensation painful and straining on your body.
Exhaustion overcame you as you curled up on the cold tiles, falling into a sleep just as nightmarish as when you were awake.
When Wanda returned home, she began to make dinner. Even though she was mad at you, she still cared about you. As time went on and the scent of your favourite dish didn't tempt you down the stairs, Wanda became slightly worried.
She went upstairs and knocked on your bedroom door, not receiving any response. Carefully, she walked in, everything was exactly the same as when she left, except you weren't frozen in the same spot as before.
After she had made the bed, she checked in the bathroom, initially shocked at the sight. “Malysh?” she immediately scooped you up into her arms, startling you awake and causing you to begin to throw up again.
Wanda gently held your hair back as you vomited bile over and over, the stress on your body causing you to become dizzy. Your girlfriend waited until you were done throwing up before carrying you to bed, placing a bucket next to you.
“I'm sorry detka,” she gently untangled your hair with her fingers. You shook your head, knowing you were in the wrong. “My fault,” you croaked out, your throat hoarse.
You began to cry again, hiding your face in your pillow. Wanda was the best thing to ever happen to you, yet still you constantly found yourself sabotaging your near perfect relationship.
Ashamed of your past, you decided to stay quiet for now and just admit defeat. You were terrified to fall asleep in fear of walking up alone after all you had done.
Wanda's lower lip began to tremble as you noticed her eyes glowing slightly red. She was looking into your mind at all the flashbacks and memories that were running through your mind at that moment.
“Malyshka,” her voice cracked, “I'm so sorry.” You shook your head, curling up in her lap. “I'm not going anywhere, moya lyubov,” she gently wiped the tears falling down your face with her thumbs, “I'm here to stay.”

My Shirt - Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: someone has taken natasha's shirt...
"Good morning, detka," Natasha leaned over the bed slightly, kissing the tip of your nose to wake you up. Your eyes fluttered open at the tickling sensation and you frowned up at your girlfriend, "too early."
Chuckling, she stood up straight, watching as you pulled your blanket that was resting just under your chin, over your head. "Have you seen my black shirt with the mirrorball on it?" she asked you, gently uncovering your face. "I don't think so, maybe ask Lena," you kissed her fingers when they grazed over your lips.
She sighed, storming out of the room as she mumbled something threatening in russian. You closed your eyes again, refusing to get up at this hour.
Unfortunately, your peace didn't last long. An angry blonde woke you up, swiftly ripping your blankets from off your bed, "I knew it!" Curling up into the foetal position, you attempted to hide the tell tale sign that you were not innocent.
"Natasha said she wouldn't finish knitting the jumper for Fanny if she found out I had her shirt. You have to tell her you have it," she demanded.
"No," you smirked.
"No? You really want to tell a black widow 'no'?" she pulled a knife out from her pocket. "Natasha would kill you if you hurt me," you grinned. She huffed, "cyka."
After retrieving your blankets from the floor, you threw them back over yourself before falling back asleep.
"Malysh," Natasha kissed the top of your head. "Tasha," you reached your arms out for her, trying to pull her into bed with you. "I have to shower, ангел, but I'll be quick," she went into your bathroom, towel in hand.
She returned as soon as she promised she would, wrapped in nothing but her fluffy towel.
"See something you like?" she made eye contact with you through the full length mirror. "A lot," you subconsciously got out of bed, making your way over to her.
A gasp from the redhead caused you to realise your mistake. "I threatened half the compound," she walked over to you, her steps heavy. "It's so comfy though," you pouted.
"You're lucky you're cute," she groaned, admiring how beautiful you were in her clothes.
Wrapping your arms around her, you hugged her tightly, "I love you." She held you as if you were made of glass, afraid to break you, "I love you more."

'escape' - natasha romanoff x reader
Tumblr media
summary: it was fine before, why isn't it still?
warnings: implied suicide, implied drug abuse, mentions of self harm, just not a fun fic tbh !
“Tasha?” you carefully moved to sit in your girlfriend's lap. “Yes, malyshka?” she gently kissed your cheek, causing you to blush.
“Do you really have to go to work today?” you pouted at her, trying your best to convince her to stay home.
She covered her eyes with her hand, “detka, you know I can't say no to that face.” You giggled, “so don't.” Natasha reached for her phone and called someone, “Hey, Fury. Yeah, everything's okay. Am I okay to work from home today? Perfect. See you tomorrow.”
You jumped up off of her, running to your bedroom to get pyjamas for you both. “Thank you Natty, I love you!” you hugged her tightly.
Your shaking hands dialled her number you knew off by heart for all the wrong reasons. Her phone was going straight to voice mail and you hadn't seen her all day.
“Hi, Natasha. I'm getting a bit worried about where you've gone, I haven't heard from you since yesterday. Just let me know that you're safe, please.” your trembling voice left the 3rd message for her that night. You were hesitant to finish it off by telling her you loved her. It certainly didn't seem like she felt the same recently.
She'd been going away for ages at a time, unannounced. No matter how upset she made you, she'd just say “I'll fix it,” and then repeat her actions. You yearned for a comforting touch or some reassuring words, yet you had never received them.
You struggled quietly with your suicidal thoughts more and more each day. No matter how much you tried to evade them, they'd always find a way to come back stronger. You wished you could tell your girlfriend, but she was never even there to speak to.
Every time you tried to have a serious conversation with her, she'd listen, say a few emotionless words and leave the house without an explanation. You worried about her, but you also worried about yourself.
There was no more space on your fragile skin to cut. Considering your options, you decided that you had had enough. Work was too stressful, your ‘escape’ from it all was supposed to be comforting and peaceful, however you just felt more and more alone each day.
The bathroom was always stocked with medication, old painkillers for your migraines and such. Opening the cupboard, you slowly picked out the Vicodin from last year.
When Natasha returned home later that day, she wished she had never left.

Birthday - Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: a soft morning with natasha on your birthday
Natasha stirred awake, the dull sunlight peeking through the gaps at the sides of the curtains illuminating the room gently. She looked over to where you lay next to her, admiring the peaceful look on your face as you slept.
She never thought anyone would trust her enough to be so vulnerable in her presence.
The cold autumn air sent a chill down her spine, making her aware of the blankets that had fallen off the bed overnight.
Carefully, she leaned down to pick them up, covering you with them as she pressed a soft kiss to your temple.
This caused you to subconsciously curl up into her side while you slept, her heart throbbing in her chest as she saw you grip her shirt in your hand.
Holding you close to her, she drifted back off to sleep, feeling secure in knowing that you were safe.
She awoke a few hours later, kisses being pressed all over her face, causing her to giggle.
"Good morning, baby," she flipped you over, hovering above your body.
"Hi," you giggled as she started to shake from excitement.
Natasha absolutely loved any excuse to shower you with love and affection, today being the day she was most looking forward to for the last year.
"Happy birthday, angel," she kissed you softly, intertwining her fingers with yours.
The soft side of Natasha was reserved for a select few, you being one of the limited lucky ones who got to experience such a rare thing.
Sometimes you found it hard to believe how anyone could be scared of such a soft, doting person.
Pulling away slightly, the redhead gazed into your eyes with nothing but pure adoration. Her green eyes sparkled in the soft glow of the morning sunlight, causing her to look ethereal.
Together, you walked down to the kitchen, Natasha picking you up and sitting you down on the island, kissing you quickly before getting some flour out of the cupboard.
"Tasha," you cocked your head to the side slightly.
"Yes, my love?" she smiled at you.
You felt bad, but your concerns for the safety of the entire compound overpowered any guilt you may have been feeling, "are you sure you aren't going to burn the whole building down?"
She threw her head back in laughter, "don't worry, dorogoya. Wanda has been teaching me how to make pancakes for the past three weeks."
Only Natasha could take so long to learn how to make something so simple, but you admired her persistent nature. She wanted nothing more than to see you smile, and she knew the way to your heart better than you did.
The low hum from the speakers in the room playing yours and Natasha's playlist filled the comfortable silence as she focused on not letting anything set on fire. Her tongue poked out from between her lips ever so slightly, nothing was more important to her at that very moment than successfully making you breakfast on your birthday.
When she had plated up everything, you followed her to the table and sat across from her, smiling proudly at your girlfriend.
"This is amazing, Tasha," you were in awe of what she had done for you.
Your eyes filled with tears as she took your hands in her own, "you're more amazing, malyshka."
After you ate, you spent the whole day doing all of the things you loved with the girl you knew you would spend forever with.
The whole team got you an abundance of gifts, Wanda even baked a huge cake for you.
Crawling into bed, you lay on top of Natasha, your face immediately going to nuzzle into her chest.
"Detka," she chuckled, "you'll suffocate."
"Let me, it's my birthday," you giggled.
"How am I supposed to function for the rest of my life if you die now," she frowned.
"You know how many people would pay to be killed by your chest?" you kissed her shoulder softly.
"Good thing you're the only one allowed to then, malysh."

Seasonal Depression - Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: natasha has been away on a mission, but when she comes back she discovers you haven't been taking care of yourself
tw: (seasonal) depression, mentions of sh
Winter was always hard for you.
Exhaustion fuelled the ache deep within your bones. Your body was telling you to scream out in anguish but you couldn't find the energy to. You shivered as a cold gust of air blew your door open.
Footsteps could be heard from downstairs as they quickly got closer and louder. You didn't have the willpower to move, you were convinced this was the end.
Closing your eyes, you accepted whatever fate may come upon you.
Until, a soft hand gently caressed your face. Natasha was home.
Her speech was muffled to you, her tone sounding gentle but worrisome. She was quick to shut the windows and throw a blanket over you.
“... car… Fury… elevator… “ you could barely understand what she was saying, “... pancakes…” your finger twitched slightly when she mentioned your favourite breakfast that she could make.
A small grin crept it's way onto her face as she carefully tucked you in and kissed your forehead before running back downstairs.
You weren't sure how much time had passed before she came back with a huge stack of pancakes with your favourite toppings.
Carefully, she sat against your headboard and helped you sit in front of her, your back against her chest. She slowly fed you until you refused to eat any more and finished the rest off herself.
“Thank you,” you croaked hoarsely. It had been tough without Natasha for so long, sometimes missions took her away from you for months on end. Thankfully, this one had only been a couple of weeks, however, that didn't stop you from falling back into your old habits.
Seasonal depression was always something you had struggled with, and Natasha knew this. She wasn't at home to encourage you to take your medication so you had completely forgotten. You rarely got out of bed while she was gone, only to go to the bathroom and to drink some water.
The small cuts littering your thigh had mostly healed, but they were still noticeable. Natasha saw them and gently brushed her thumb over them and kissed the top of your head.
“I missed you, detka,” she gently stroked your thigh as you stared blankly at the door in front of you. There were photos of you and Natasha stuck to it, a gentle reminder of your love for one another.
She held you like that for a while, not speaking but instead conveying her love for you in a silent, tender way. Her gentle touches soothed you and she knew that.
“How about we go take a bath?” she asked you, and you nodded slightly.
Carefully, she slipped out from behind you and began to fill the bathtub with warm water. She carried you into the bathroom and delicately placed you down in front of her in the bath, resuming your previous position.
Her soft hands gently massaged your scalp and washed your hair, taking care to not hurt you at all. You offered her a small smile, to which she returned with her own as well a kiss to your cheek.
After a while, she dried you off and carried you back to bed, helping you get dressed in some shorts and one of her shirts before tucking you back in and getting her laptop.
She helped you lay against her chest, tucked into her side with a warm feeling in both of your hearts. “How about we watch a show and eat some snacks?” she suggested. “Yes, please,” you nodded into her soft skin. “Of course, moya lyubov,” she gently kissed the top of your head, leaning over to her bedside table to retrieve her emergency snack basket.
Winter was always hard for you, but Natasha made it easier.

Christmas Presents - Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: wrapping presents amidst a storm never ends well
thank you for the request you lovely anon! sending you so much love this holiday season, merry christmas, hope it's a good one!
The whistling wind outside your window was just as loud as the heavy rain pouring from the dull sky. Your active mind was worrying about the repercussions of the storm. How many people would be injured? How many people would have their homes destroyed before Christmas?
Deciding against being alone with your thoughts, you noticed the pile of unwrapped presents in your wardrobe and began to get to work. You had tried your hardest to get every member of the team the perfect gift, they had been so welcoming to you as the newest Avenger and you wanted to show them how grateful you were.
The enormous box of pop-tarts for Thor was fairly easy to wrap, you had even gotten wrapping paper with the whole team on it. Next up was a box of Lego for Steve. You had gotten him a set which was a replica of his shield, including a note inside which said that if needed any help, you were more than willing to join him.
Your hands began to shake from the loud storm outside, you were subconsciously extremely anxious and your distraction method wasn't helping as much anymore.
You had gotten Wanda a little wind-up music box which played a Sokovian lullaby and you handwrite the lyrics for her and attempted to wrap it. The gift was an awkward shape but thankfully with a little bit of help from Google, you figured it out. It wasn't as perfect as you would have liked it to have been but you were happy with it nonetheless.
Natasha was the girl you loved most in the world, you had always felt something for her since you first joined the team however it was only recently she confessed the feeling was mutual.
Her stone cold demeanour instantly melted when she was around you, however none of the other Avengers believed you when you called her your big teddy bear.
You had recently taken up pottery classes and your first craft was a slightly flawed mug, there was a small dent in it that looked identical to the Black Widow symbol so you decided to paint the mug black and the little hourglass in red.
There was a whole pile of presents left to be wrapped but you decided to wrap all of Natasha’s first so you could make sure they would be perfect.
The handle of the mug was quite inconvenient to wrap, you struggled to hold onto the wrapping paper and tear the tape at the same time. You looked away from the tape holder for a second and when you tried to break off a new piece of tape, you accidentally scraped your finger along the sharp edge, causing it to start bleeding, “fuck,” you continuously muttered words you were glad nobody was around to here. Amidst your panic, you brought your other hand to it to hold pressure onto the wound, however in the process of doing so, you dropped Natasha’s mug and it broke into three pieces.
“Shit,” you shouted, “you fucking piece of shit,” you slammed your hand against the door of your wardrobe, smearing blood all over it in the process. In your attempt to pick up the broken mug, you didn't realise how sharp it was and ended up further injuring your hand.
You continued to wrap the other presents until the sun began to rise. Natasha was always an early riser, she liked to get to the gym before anyone else. As she passed your room, she heard your muttered swears and peeked in to see what you were doing, only to see the red blood splattered across the wooden furniture.
“Detka!” she gently took the pizza dog toy for Kate from your hands and led you to the bathroom. “What on earth do you think you're doing?” she scolded you, gently wiping your hands with a wet cloth. “Just fuck off, Romanoff,” you attempted to walk out of the room, but she stood in the doorway to stop you.
You scoffed down at her, she was shorter than you, but you both knew she had a hold on you that nobody else did. “Malysh, let me wipe this blood away and stitch you up and then we can cuddle,” your ears perked up at your favourite activity.
Begrudgingly, you allowed Natasha to bandage up your wounds and kiss them all individually. She gently guided you to your bed, laying down with you.
“Now, do you want to tell me what you were doing?” she asked, although this time much more compassionately. Tears began to roll down your face, sobs wracking your body, “everyone on the team has been so kind to me since I joined and I just wanted to repay that somehow.” Natasha gently pulled you into her arms, your head resting on her chest as you listened to the calming sound of her heartbeat.
“Moya lyubov, you don't need to repay anyone, everyone on the team loves you because you alone are more than enough,” she gently held your hand. “But I feel like I haven't had the opportunity to thank everyone for welcoming me into their team,” you sniffled and Natasha gently wiped your nose with a tissue. “Except you have, detka. You go on runs with Sam and Steve, you practice archery with Kate and Clint and you cause mischief in the lab with Tony and Bruce. Whenever you spend quality time with them, they will perceive that as thankfulness and love,” she brushed some stray hairs out of your face.
“I got you a gift, but I broke it,” you pointed to the mess on the floor. Natasha carefully got up, picking up the pieces of it and leaving the room. Your heart began to pound, you didn't know where she had gone.
She returned moments later with a little tube of gold glitter glue. Sitting next to where you lay, she carefully began to glue the piece back together as you lay your head in her lap and watched. Once she had finished, she delicately placed it on your bedside table to dry and gently kissed the tip of your nose.
“Tasha?” you whispered. “Yes, malyshka?” she gently kissed the top of your head. “You said the team loves me, does that mean..?” you paused.
“Yes, krasivaya, I love you.”

Flu- Natasha Romanoff x Maria Hill x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: you have the flu, but luckily your girlfriends are more than willing to take care of you
a/n: the fourth wall break is a little ongoing joke between my old readers and i, don't worry if you don't understand it, this is a very old one-shot
You lay asleep in your bed, curled up under a huge pile of blankets, dreaming of all the ways you could kill a certain archer when you began to stir awake. You peaked out from under the blankets and saw Natasha getting ready to go train.
You put your arms out and tried to call her name but your voice was completely gone due to the nasty flu you had come down with. She was facing away from you so she didn't see you. Maria gave her a soft kiss, "love you." The ginger smiled, "love you too."
After Natasha had left, Maria looked over to you lying in bed with a small pout on your face. "What's wrong, baby?" she kissed your head. "Nat didn't say bye," you quietly said, coughing immediately after. Maria rubbed your back softly, "we thought you were asleep, I'm sure if she knew you were awake she would've come to say goodbye to you."
Nodding in agreement, you attempted to pull Maria into bed with you, resting your head on her chest before drifting off to sleep again. She pulled the blankets back over you, keeping you protected and warm.
After a few hours, Natasha came back to your room, smiling when she saw her two favourite people cuddled up in bed together. She had a quick shower before getting in bed behind you, her chest against your back.
You shuffled back into her embrace, Maria pulling you back closer to her. Natasha draped an arm over your waist, doing the same, making you wake up. You realised what they were doing and giggled before turning round to face the redhead and pulling her close to you.
"Good morning," she whispered to you. Smiling up at her, you opened your blanket to let her into your cocoon of warmth. She gladly accepted your offer and hugged you tightly. "Come back," Maria muttered from behind you.
You turned round and she kissed the top of your head before kissing Natasha on the lips. You pouted up at her, making her chuckle, "I don't want to get the flu, I have work to do." You frowned and turned away from her, only to be met by a smirking Natasha.
Sometimes having two girlfriends had it's downsides.
You groaned and went to get out of bed before they both pulled you back down. "Let me go," you tried to tell them. "Sorry didn't catch that," Maria grinned. You scowled and went under your blankets, pulling them off of Natasha.
Clint walked in the room, not bothering to knock, "have any of you guys seen Lucky?" Maria and Natasha shook their heads and he raised an eyebrow at the ball on the bed, "what's up with her." The brunette chuckled, "I think she's mad at us."
He walked over to you and was about to open his mouth when you cut him off, though your voice was frail they still all heard you, "fuck off Clint." He was quick to pull all your blankets off you, making you whine quietly.
"Hey, that was unnecessary," Natasha grabbed them back and placed them back over your shivering body gently. "She deserved it," he shrugged. "Well you deserve the pencil I'm about to shove up your ass," she lunged at him before Maria quickly held her back.
"As much as I would love to see that happen, the readers are complaining about all the Clint slander and I think we need to tone it down a notch," she sighed. "Fine, but we're going back to normal after this chapter," Natasha huffed.
Clint backed out the room slowly, happy to be free from the wrath of the scariest people in the compound, for now at least.
You stayed under your blankets, shaking from the cold air you were exposed to. Both of your girlfriends curled their bodies around yours and you let them under your blankets, but only because you were cold. You were still mad about them not wanting to kiss you, although you did understand why.
Natasha pulled off her hoodie and put it on you, engulfing you in heat and her familiar scent of vanilla and cinnamon. "Love you, detka," she kissed the tip of your nose before you drifted back off to sleep in her protective embrace.

What's Going On? - Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: wanda has been so busy recently and while you understand, it doesn't hurt any less
word count: 475
prompt: "I just came home to you crying while watching a movie, please tell me what's going on."
No matter how much you wore your girlfriend's hoodies or buried your face in her pillow, her absence devastated you. You were unbelievably proud of the work she did, but the long hours she spent away from you made it difficult to cope.
There were times that your mind would begin to overthink, and suddenly you would believe she didn't love you anymore. Of course, that wasn't true, but that didn't stop you from thinking such things.
If you told her you were feeling like this, she would undoubtedly reassure you that it was okay to be feeling like this but that she loved you and she always will, no matter what.
Sighing, you dragged your favourite - which also happened to be your biggest - blanket downstairs and curled up on the sofa, turning on Wanda's favourite film while you let your thoughts get the better of you.
You didn't even notice the tears streaming down your face until you were aware of your girlfriend crouched in front of you, wiping your cheeks with her thumbs.
"Hey, sweetheart. What's got you feeling like this?" she tucked some hair behind your ear, kissing your temple lightly.
Staring past her, your mind was somewhere else as she attempted to find out what was wrong.
"Earth to y/n?" she frowned slightly as she took note of your distant expression. "I'm fine," you pulled your blanket around you tighter.
She sighed, cupping your cheek with her hand, "I just came home to you crying while watching a film, please tell me what's going on."
Reaching your arms out, she quickly understood what you were signalling and she picked you up, carrying you to your bed so you could lay your head on her chest and talk to her in your safe place.
Every serious conversation you had with each other was in your bedroom, the familiar security it offered was comforting and you both felt it was easier to open up to each other in such a calming environment.
Sniffling, you laced your fingers with hers, "sometimes, it feels like, I never see you anymore. And I know you're busy-"
"Hey, I'm never too busy to spend time with you," she interrupted you.
"I understand you have work, it's just sad sometimes," you hoped you didn't sound too clingy.
She kissed the top of your head, "oh baby, I'm sorry for making you upset. I love you so very much and I promise to be here more often."
You shook your head, "no it's okay, you don't have to do that."
Sighing, she traced little patterns on your back, "yes I do. You're more important to me than anything else in this world, I want to be here for you."
As her gentle hand played with your hair, you slowly drifted off to sleep, a small smile on your face.

In the Kitchen Humming - Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: short fluff of natasha returning home from a mission <3
Natasha returned home early from her mission, eager to surprise you. The loud music she was met with caused her to smile because nothing reminded her more of you than your favourite song.
Quietly tiptoeing to the kitchen door, she pulled out her phone and began taking a video of you dancing and singing to your heart's content while you made some pasta.
Nothing could warm her heart more than seeing you let loose while wearing her clothes, you were perfect in her eyes. From the way your hair moved around as you jumped about, to the fluffy socks you were wearing so you could slide about the floor with ease.
Sneakily, she ran up behind you, wrapping her arms around your waist, causing you to jump in fright. The knife in your hand was held up to her throat before you realised who she was.
"Tasha!" you grinned, bouncing on your heels. "I've missed you, detka," she kissed you softly. "I missed you too," you put your knife down on the chopping board before jumping into her arms, revelling in the comfort the familiar embrace provided you with.
She carried you over to the island, placing you down before standing between your legs, gazing down at you lovingly. You were her entire world, and nothing could ever change that.
When she studied your features, she noticed the tired look on your face, "you haven't been sleeping well." Sighing, you rested your head on her shoulder, "it was too difficult without you here."
Picking up your pasta, she put it in a plate and handed it to you. You thanked her and shared it with her as she was exhausted after her mission. She put the bowl in the sink before gently carrying you to bed.
After quickly showering, she promptly returned to your bed and let you bury your face in her chest. Her hand found it's way to your hair, running her fingers through, taking out the knots along the way.
Her favourite feeling in the world was to get to hold you in her arms, and now she was. Even while you slept, she couldn't bare the thought of falling asleep herself. She just wanted to stay up and protect you. Although even when she fell asleep, you knew she was still going to be there for you.

Wanda and sacrifice
Her Princess - Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: fuck valentine's day !!
ty for the request :)
"See you in a minute," in retrospect, you felt you should've said something more sincere and heartfelt to your friends given your current situation.
Sitting at the top of a cliff, which would have otherwise been a beautiful destination, your head in your hands as Natasha paced back and forth in front of you.
"I can't let you do this," she shook her head disapprovingly, "your wife would kill me." You sighed, "Natasha, you have two families, you can't leave them both."
The scowl that adorned her face would've been amusing if the circumstances were different, but you both had a decision to make. Of course, you both wanted to sacrifice yourself to save half of the population, but neither of you wanted the other to do so.
An intense fight followed a long discussion, this wasn't going to end well for one of you.
Widow bites were thrown, as well as many punches. It almost felt like a normal sparring session with Natasha, however usually you weren't fighting to save the other.
The soul stone was returned, as were the other five infinity stones. The Avengers mourned their losses but there was no time for anything major, there was a battle to fight. All of this could not have been for nothing.
The second Wanda came back, she went to search for her wife. Both of you had gotten married in Edinburgh while on the run, a beautiful quick wedding in the large castle there. You told her you felt like a princess, and she couldn't help but grin at how adorable you were.
She conjured up a ring using her magic, it was beautiful and fit you perfectly. For herself, she just wanted a simple wedding band that she wore on a chain around her neck, not because she wanted to hide her marital status, but in her opinion, the world had a tendency to ruin sacred things when flaunted.
That night, you slept comfortably in her arms. It was the best night's sleep you had gotten since you had been on the run together. She gazed at your face illuminated by the moonlight, admiring your features as they were highlighted so elegantly.
To her, you were a princess. Her princess.
A pair of familiar eyes caught her attention across the battlefield, they were soft and slightly duller than she remembered.
Running over, she collapsed in the arms of their beholder. "I'm sorry Wands, she sacrificed herself to bring everyone back. I tried to stop her…"

Shut Up - Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: tiny drabble where natasha goes away on a mission after you fight (hurt/comfort, angst with a happy ending)
"Oh my god, shut up. Just shut up," Natasha slammed your bedroom door behind her, her bag full. of. mission gear in her hand.
The prior fight was all a blur, you had accidentally provoked her while she was stressed about an upcoming mission and she accidentally snapped at you.
Tears welled in your eyes as the silence in the room deafened you.
You had never meant to upset her, it was all a big misunderstanding.
Guilt settled deep in Natasha's chest as she sat on the quinjet with Yelena, she knew she shouldn't have said that to you and left.
She made a mental note to buy you some of your favourite chocolates and handwrite you a note before she returned.
A whole week without your girlfriend was already tough enough, the fight increasing the difficulty of spending so much time apart.
Quietly, the redhead slipped into your shared bedroom, noticing the calm rise and fall of your chest as you slept.
Noticing the tear stains on your face, a new wave of guilt washed over her.
Natasha sat down next to where you slept, "I'm so sorry, my darling angel. I never should have said what I did. I love you with all my heart."
She knew you couldn't hear her, but she showered and crawled under the blankets with you.
Suddenly her anxiety was pushed aside as she felt you nuzzle your face into her side.
Carefully, she wrapped her arm around you, kissing the side of your head, grateful that no matter what happened between the two of you, she'd always have a best friend and a lover to come home to.

Misfortune - Older!Nat x Reader (epiphany au one-shot)
Tumblr media
summary: a few minor inconveniences cause you to feel overwhelmed, thankfully natasha is great at comforting you
Cold sheets.
The worst bad omen of them all.
You knew your day was ruined as soon as you woke up and Natasha wasn't lying in bed with you. "Tasha?" you grumbled as you trudged down the stairs, blanket draped over your shoulders.
"Morning, detka," your wife sat at the kitchen island, typing intensely on her laptop. "What are you doing?" you asked her curiously.
She turned her screen around to show you, she was attempting to create an instagram account. Laughing, you began to make breakfast for the two of you, pancakes being the only thing within your skill set.
Nevertheless, Natasha was appreciative and you received many, many kisses for your hard work.
"Come back to bed," you whined, leaning your head on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, malysh. I have to go run some errands today," she wrapped an arm around you, giving you an apologetic squeeze.
Sighing, you went back upstairs, getting ready for the day. Last night, you had made plans with Wanda to meet up at the compound. It had been ages since you'd seen any of the avengers, so to say you were excited would be an understatement.
Just as you slipped on your shoes, your phone rang. Wanda's name lit up your phone, "hey, Wands. What's up?" A beat of silence passed before she spoke, "Carol just came back from space, and I promised her I'd hang out with her next time she was here. I'm so sorry, we can still hang out this evening if you want?"
Your heart ached a little bit, you didn't have many friends, and the ones you did have didn't seem to have time for you, "okay, see you later." Hanging up, you sulked into the kitchen, but Natasha had already left. It seemed to be a common occurrence with Wanda, she'd always agree to make plans with you but rarely followed through on them.
A wave of sadness washed over you, your thoughts felt like they were being amplified by a huge speaker.
Kicking off your boots, you decided to head back to bed. You pulled the blankets above your head, letting your feelings take over and quiet sobs escape your throat.
"Ангел?" Natasha's familiar voice helped you escape your thoughts, "what's wrong?" Sniffling, you reached out for her, letting her scoop you up in her arms and hold you like you were the most delicate, precious thing in the world, "it's just not my day today."
You felt stupid for crying over such small things, but Natasha always assured you that even tiny things can cause huge feelings and that it was okay for that to happen. "I'm sorry, detka," she took her hoodie off, laying you down in bed with her, "how about we have that cuddle session you wanted this morning?"
Natasha took pride in her new social media account, showing you it multiple times. You couldn't help but notice she didn't have a profile picture, though. "Do you want to have matching icons?" you asked her hopefully.
"I don't know what that means, but anything for my pretty girl," she handed you her phone, letting you change her profile photo to Wednesday and you had one of Enid.
"Look, now we're just like them," you grinned, looking up at her. "Whatever floats your boat, darling," she chuckled.
The next day Wanda texted you about how she was sorry that she forgot about your later plans and that she had accidentally fallen asleep. You assured her it was fine, but in reality you'd had enough of her antics.
Fans of the avengers went crazy when they found out Natasha was now on instagram. She posted photos of you on her story constantly, usually without asking. Of course, you got her back for it. You always did.

Affliction - Older!Natasha Romanoff x Reader (epiphany au chapter one)
Tumblr media
summary: after being shot multiple times in the field, natasha decides it is time to take control of her own life
warnings: blood, injury, inaccurate medical terms i learned from grey's anatomy, slight angst, age gap (nat is 36, r is 20)
"Natasha, please," you sobbed, tears streaming down your face.
"She's in v-fib, charge to 100," a doctor announced.
"Clear!" Bruce shouted as he shocked your wife with defibrillator paddles, everyone taking their hands off of her lifeless body.
Shaking, you cried aloud, "don't you dare die on me, Romanoff." Maria came over to you, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder, "it's okay, they're gonna save her."
Dr Cho grabbed her phone, "I need another two units of O-neg in trauma room 3 right now."
Bruce shocked her again, sighing in relief when the monitor began to steadily beep again, "sinus tach, we have a rhythm."
"Tasha," you hugged her tightly, being soaked by the blood spilling from her abdomen in multiple places. "Detka, I'm so sorry," she held you close to her, kissing the top of your head over and over again.
"It's okay, you're okay," you told her, but she knew you were reassuring yourself just as much, if not more. "Hey, hey, malysh. Listen to me," her hands trembled as she reached up to hold your face, blood smearing across your cheeks.
You leaned into her touch, your eyes closing as you sniffled lightly. "Everything is going to be fine, I promise. Soon, we'll be back in our bed, eating junk food and watching all of our favourite movies. Stay strong for me, pretty girl," she was soon taken away into an operating theatre, leaving you alone to pace in the waiting room.
Wanda kept you company, lending you a shoulder to cry on and supplying you with an abundance of tissues.
Time felt as though it slowed down while you waited for Natasha's return, your only source of distraction being the various members of the team coming to check on you.
Peter brought a deck of cards, letting you win every game to try to raise your spirits. You caught onto the boy's plan quickly, but didn't mention it.
Yelena pulled a gun from one of her vest pockets when a member of staff told her she couldn't bring her dog, Fanny, in. She sat on the floor with you while you wept and drifted in and out of feel, not even laughing at you once. The pain you were feeling was both understood and shared by the blonde.
A gentle hand shook you awake, dragging you into a room far too bright for your liking. Groggily, you stumbled into a sharp corner, falling to the ground in an exhausted haze.
Quiet laughter echoed throughout the room as a strong pair of arms lifted you off the floor, mumbling something about you being a 'stupid idiot' in Russian.
"Shut up, Lena," you groaned, assessing your surroundings. The source of the prior laugh was laid in a small bed, a thin blanket draped over her. Your eyes began to water, "oh god, Nat."
She beckoned you over to her, shuffling over to one side of the bed so you could squeeze in close to her side. "I thought I lost you," you kissed her cheek. "You can't get rid of me that easily, dorogoya," she tenderly brushed hair from your face, tucking it behind your ear.
Recovery wasn't easy for Natasha. All she wanted to do was get back out into the field, to which you objected strongly.
Even showering seemed to be an impossible task for her, standing for so long was too painful and she often called you in to help her. Of course, you didn't mind. You would take any excuse to admire her toned muscles, and you swore she purposefully flexed them every time she caught you trying to subtly take a look.
One evening, you found her lying in bed, white as a sheet, shivering intensely. "Nat, what's wrong?" you ran over to her, cradling her face gently. "My stomach hurts and I'm freezing," she croaked weakly.
Taking a look at her wound, your eyes widened at the sight of the infected area surrounding her sutures. "FRIDAY, get Bruce in here, right now," you held your wife's hand shakily. "Of course, Mrs Romanoff, right away," the AI replied.
"I love you," you told her as you waited in the infirmary together, afraid of what was going to happen to her. "Malyshka," she kissed your hand, "I think it's time for me to retire."
Taken aback slightly, you tilted your head, silently asking her to elaborate. "I want to stay safe and healthy for you, moya lyubov. Risking my life every other day isn't fair to you, I want us to have a stable marriage where I get to cherish every moment we share. You're the light of my life, the reason I get up every morning and the only girl I ever want in my life," her voice was strained, and she took many pauses between her words.
"I don't want you to stop doing the job you love just because of me," you told her. "It's for myself as well, I've never been able to experience a normal life. If I wasn't fighting for the red room, I was an agent here and I'm exhausted. After thirty-six years, I think I'm ready to live life the way I want to," the sincerity and pain behind her eyes made you realise that she was right, retirement seemed to be a beneficial option to both of you.
Smiling widely, you held her hand the entire time she was getting assessed by the doctors, excited for the next chapter of your life you would get to spend with her.
She was prescribed some antibiotics and soon enough, Natasha was back on her feet, struggling to find things to do when the days felt so long. The avengers were always arguing loudly, irritating her beyond insanity.
Flicking through a magazine, a large house in a small neighbourhood caught her eye. Over the course of the next few weeks, she bought the house and bought some furniture for it.
Walking into your room in the compound, your shoulders relaxed and your jaw unclenched when you saw Natasha sitting against the headboard of the bed. "Hi, pretty girl," she looked up from her book, putting her bookmark in place before beckoning you closer to her.
"I missed you, Tasha," you straddled her lap, nuzzling your face into her neck. "Are you okay?" she asked you, running her fingers through your slightly knotted hair. "The guys have too much energy," your voice was shaky, it was evident that you were overwhelmed from the interaction you had just shared with them.
Natasha felt slightly guilty, there was a perfect house ready to be lived in by the two of you but she hadn't found the right moment to tell you about it yet.
Staring into her beautiful green eyes, you felt at ease. No one compared to her, nobody in the world even came close. "I have something to show you," she picked you up, your thighs instinctively wrapping around her waist.
She took you down to the garage, helping you sit on the back of her motorcycle before driving across the city. Street lights illuminated the beautiful buildings until Natasha brought you to a slightly less bright area.
"Where are we?" you looked around at the big mansions, in awe of the sheer size of them.
"Home, detka."

A Kaleidoscope of Butterflies- Wanda Maximoff x Reader
word count: 567
summary: short fluffy wanda
Tumblr media
a/n: the first fic i ever wrote, rewritten <3
"Babe," you pouted as you tugged on your girlfriend's sleeve as she typed furiously on her laptop.
She looked up at you, raising an eyebrow at you before kissing your pout away, making you giggle. "Yes my love?" she smiled as though she was an angel.
Her smile always caused your heart to flutter like she'd unleashed a kaleidoscope of butterflies in your chest.
"I'm bored," you told her, resting your head on her shoulder, feeling the warmth radiate from her. "Well, let me finish this mission report then we can do something, okay?" she said as she kissed the top of your head.
"Okay, I love you," you said looking up at her. "I love you too princess," she told you leaning down to kiss your lips.
-----
After about 15 minutes Wanda closed her laptop, startling you away from your phone. She wrapped her arms around you and sat you on her lap, your head resting on her chest.
"What do you wanna do now?" she asked you. You smiled up at her and asked "can we watch a movie?" She smiled back at you and said "of course baby, I'll get us some snacks and you can set us up something to watch," before kissing you gently and then getting up.
She returned with a huge bowl of popcorn and chocolate, as well as a bunch of juice because you both were just little kids at heart who loved capri suns.
"So what are we watching?" she asked. "Unicorn Store," you told her. The redhead giggled softly because she was expecting you to choose something that sounds like it was for 4-year-olds.
Wanda lay on your bed, leading you to rest your head on her chest and cuddling close to her side. She softly stroked your hair and held you close as if you were going to disappear if she let go.
You were everything to her. Her world. Her universe. She'd do anything for you.
You pressed play on her laptop and the film begins to play. You both joked about how the main character had a striking resemblance to Carol and the man who promised a unicorn to her, kind of reminded you of Fury.
She handed you a tissue when she felt your body shake lightly as tears rolled down your cheeks. Wanda chuckled softly at your sobs, making you frown. "Hey, it's emotional, leave me alone," you pouted.
The witch gently kissed your forehead, "I'm sorry, baby. You're too precious for this world." You huffed, throwing your balled-up tissue in the bin across the room. Wanda cheered loudly when it went in, "time for a career change, baby."
You decided to watch something else for the rest of the evening as neither of you could be bothered moving. "You decide on this film, I'm gonna go to the bathroom," you told her as you got up to leave.
When you came back she had decided to put on a newer sitcom she enjoyed, The Good Place. It never failed to make you both laugh and you were both unashamedly enamoured by Kristen Bell.
After a couple of episodes, your eyes began to become heavy. Wanda heard your breathing even out and slowly closed her laptop, putting it away before falling asleep with you in her arms. You both think it's safe to say you have the best girlfriend in the world.

jealousy, jealousy- gamer!kate x reader
summary: it seems as though kate loves her playstation more than she loves you
Tumblr media
The incessant clicks of the buttons coming from Kate's controller were driving you insane.
Hiding your head under your blankets, you groaned loudly, not that your girlfriend could hear you with her headset on.
The same thing had happened every day since she had gotten her new game.
She'd stay up all night gaming, coming to bed after you had gotten up in the morning. The only exception was when she had to go on missions; then she would go to bed at a reasonable time.
Claiming it was because she had a slightly less busy schedule, she promised to return to a somewhat more normal routine soon.
Unfortunately, you didn't believe her.
Kate often struggled to stick to her word, usually when it came to small things, so it didn't bother you too much. However, it still caused you to doubt her whenever she made a promise occasionally.
You huffed, "Kate?"
No reply.
Getting out of bed, you walked over to her, standing in front of her with a frown.
"Hi, baby," she smiled at you, leaning to the side so she could still see the screen behind you.
"I miss you," you pouted.
"I miss you too," she giggled.
It was difficult to be annoyed with her when she was so sweet and adoring.
"Then come snuggle," you whined slightly, knowing her answer would be no.
"I'm almost finished my game, though," she looked at you sadly.
" But we've barely spent any time together recently," you stared at the floor beneath you.
"I'm sorry," she sighed.
"Don't be," you shook your head.
"But I feel bad," she told you.
She always told you she felt bad but never did anything about it. It was infuriating, but you realised very early in your relationship that Kate needed direct communication as she wasn't good at picking up on hints, no matter how much detail you included.
"So come to bed; all you do is play on your xbox, and it's not fair. The console isn't your girlfriend; I am," you took a step closer to her, tears threatening to spill from your eyes.
"Oh, honey. It's not an xbox, but are you jealous of my playstation?" she giggled, pulling you onto her lap, pausing her game.
"Well, you spend all of your free time on it," you didn't dare make eye contact with her due to the embarrassment of being jealous of an inanimate object.
"I promise I will always love you the most, and I'm sorry I haven't been spending time with you," she picked you up, carrying you into the kitchen and setting you down on the island.
"It's okay; you don't have to apologise; I'm the one who should be sorry. I'm so stupid for-"
"Nope, none of that," she interrupted you, kissing you softly.
She began to walk around the kitchen, preparing two mugs of hot chocolate before turning on your favourite film in the living room.
Carrying you in, she held you tight as you lay on the couch securely in her arms.
"I love you, much more than I love my stupid playstation," she giggled, kissing all over your face until you were laughing with her.
