When you'd agreed to go to dinner with Jeongin to talk business you hadn't thought he'd bring you somewhere too sophisticated and fancy and you suddenly felt out of place. You were dressed in your pencil skirt and a white shirt that you were almost sure had stains all over it and everyone in the restaurant looked as though they were dressed for an award ceremony.
The restaurant exuded an air of elegance, its walls adorned with muted artwork that all seemed to be signed by an artist known as "Little Muse" and you felt unease bubbling inside of you. Why did he bring you to such a nice place?
Soft jazz music drifted through the air, mingling with the clinking of silverware and the murmur of voices.
"Jeongin," You whispered as a waiter took you over to a table, your eyes widening as you saw them pull back some curtains to a private booth the two of you were going to be sitting in.
"Yes?" His eyes landed on you, sending shivers up and down your body something you wish you could shut off instantly. You'd had a crush on him as a kid but it had passed when he moved away, or so you had thought since everything seemed to be coming back up to cause trouble again.
"This is a business dinner, we should go somewhere...I-I don't know, better for business." You stuttered out as you took a seat across from him, your eyes looking down at the table that was draped in a white cloth with candles casting a warm glow on your private booth.
"This place is perfect for business, a friend of mine owns this place so we'll be left alone." He smirked at you, he wanted this to be alone time with you.
After not seeing you for almost 10 years he was desperate for some time alone with you, he hadn't seen you since the two of you were young but his feelings for you remained true.
"Okay, so I was thinking if you're serious about going into business with me-"
"Order something to eat first, you look like you haven't had a proper meal in weeks." You stared at him, a little taken back at just how forward he was with you, how did he know?
You hadn't eaten anything but ramen and something you could scrounge up from the hotel kitchen without being noticed. All of your money went straight back into the hotel, you hadn't even had two coins to rub together as of late but there was no way he could have known that. No one knew about it, not even your employees since you didn't want to have them worry about losing their jobs.
Instead, you cut your payout completely making sure they would still get paid and budgeted whenever you could, even leaving your home so you could sleep in your office. You sighed a little and nervously let your eyes flick over the menu, your eyes catching a glimpse of the prices and you instantly felt sick.
"About this business proposal," You said, your voice uncertain as you refused to look up from the menu.
"Yes, Cupcake?" The nickname made your hands clutch onto the menu. No one had called you that in years, no one but Jeongin had ever called you that and he only called you it because you always made sure to have them to hand if he was around.
Clearing your throat, you tried to shake off the memories that were threatening to overwhelm you. You'd been practically inseparable when you were kids, exploring the hotel together until you knew every inch of that damn place. But then Jeongin moved away when he turned 19, no warning, no letter, nothing he was just gone. Part of you thought he'd died until you were old enough to find out who he was and who his family truly were.
"I want to make sure we're both on the same page," You told him, forcing yourself to focus on the matter at hand.
"I put my heart and soul into this hotel, and I'm not sure if I'm ready to share ownership," You were but you weren't going to come across as too desperate to him.
Truth was, the hotel was going under and you were left to try and scramble to put it all together.
When you found out your uncle left you the hotel in the will you'd been over the moon about it. Ever since you were old enough you'd been working in the hotel, starting as a maid until you were promoted again and again till the point where you were practically running the place - your uncle still in charge of the books though. You now realised was because he was losing money left and right, taking out shoddy insurance deals or just flat out refusing to pay for some of the repairs only to do it himself and fuck it up more.
A bank had recently told you that you'd be better off starting a fire and claiming insurance on the place than getting out a load but you were determined not to give up on the place, not when it had been everything you'd wanted ever since you could remember.
Jeongin's lips curled into a faint smile as he watched you, he knew how much trouble you were in but he wasn't going to let on that he knew. He didn't want you to see this as some sort of pity party, he did this because he loved the place as a kid and couldn't stomach the thought of something happening to it, or to you.
His men had been watching you since he came into power, he refused to let anyone touch the hotel you had his protection and you didn't even know it.
"I understand your hesitation, Cupcake. But trust me when I say that together, we could turn that place into something extraordinary." You sighed a little, your fingers tracing the rim of your glass, you knew he was persuasive, and he seemed to be drawing you in against your better judgment. But there was something else lurking beneath the surface, something you couldn't put your finger on.
"What's in it for you, Innie?" Your tone was more assertive now but Jeongin smiled at the nickname you used for him.
"No one's called me that in years." He chuckled softly and you felt your cheeks warming up at how happy it seemed to have made him.
"For me, it's more than business, Cupcake. It's all about reconnecting with an old friend, someone who knew, before all of this." You stared at him, unsure of how to respond to him but luckily a waiter came over to take your order. Jeongin rattled off his choice of food and you couldn't help but admire him from across the table and then he ordered for you. Ordering more food than you'd ever be able to eat but you were grateful for it nevertheless.
Throughout the meal, you talked about everything and nothing, the easy banter of your childhood friendship slowly resurfacing. And as the evening drew to an end, you found yourself opening up to him in a way you wouldn't have expected to. You still hadn't told him about the money issues, you were scared if he found out too soon he'd bail on you.
"I'll come by tomorrow with my payment, we'll sign everything with a lawyer," Jeongin told you as you stood outside the hotel, he questioned nothing when you asked him to drop you back here instead of a home which you were more than thankful for.
"That sounds good," You smiled a little, you were still unsure of everything and you weren't sure if you'd be able to trust him but you knew time could only tell that.
Tumblr media
The following day when Jeongin showed up he expected to find you at the reception desk waiting for him and he frowned not seeing you standing there. Lowering the bouquet of flowers he got for you he stared at the woman on the front desk.
"Is YN around?" He stared at the woman who nodded frantically.
"She's probably doing some tasks around the hotel, Miss YLN is a master of all trades." Jeongin hated that you'd resorted to fixing things yourself, he couldn't stomach the thought of something happening to you while you were fixing something.
"Will you make sure these are put in some water and on her desk? I'll try and find her," With that he walked around to try and find you, his footsteps echoing on the marbled floor of the lobby as he made his way to the elevators.
Eventually, he found you in one of the rooms, straightening out the bedsheets while a maid stood shaking in the corner,
"Did she take over?" Jeongin asked quietly as the maid bobbed her head frantically, and he nodded for her to leave and watched her run off down the corridor. Jeonmgin couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at you, with an amused smile playing on his lips.
"Isn't that the maid's job?" He teased gently, his voice laced with amusement. You glanced up from your work, heat taking over your body. You cleaned whenever you were stressed about something and it seemed you'd hardly stopped since waking up this morning.
"I...Uh...Just felt like doing some cleaning." You mumbled, the truth was you were stressing more now that you knew a lawyer was coming to help you and Jeongin signed everything over. You thought he was going to see the books and run for the hills and you worried you'd be left with nothing. The thought of it had kept you up for most of the night and you'd spent all of your time stress cleaning the entire place. Your office was the cleanest it had been in months and you showed no signs of living there and the toilets on the reception floor were spotless too.
"To relieve stress?" He arched a brow, staring at you as you placed chocolates onto the pillows and brushed your hands down the front of your skirt. The same skirt and shirt you'd been wearing the night before and looked as though you'd slept in, if you'd slept at all. Which judging by the bags under your eyes was a big no. You hated that he could see right through you, you hated that he could tell something was wrong without you saying a thing.
"Maybe." You grumbled a little, pushing the cart out of the room and into the hallway, going to move on to the next room when Jeongin stared at you, freezing you in place. His eyes bored into the side of your head as you let out a small sigh,
"Well, you certainly seem to have everything under control." He remarked, a little admiration in his voice. He was impressed with how well you'd kept the hotel going until now, he knew what his lawyers had found since he'd found it months ago but he said nothing. He knew if you found out about him knowing about the money problems you'd refuse his help, you were stubborn and always had been.
This deal was to keep the place he loved afloat yes but it was also to stop you from losing something you loved, he wanted you to be happy. He'd do anything in the world to make sure that you were joyful about something. It was the reason this place was still even going, no one was allowed to touch it under his strict rules and no one went against him.
Even some of your high-paying clients had been sent there specifically by Jeongin but it was getting harder to send them when the hotel was going under.
"Just trying to keep things in order." You mumbled, trying to downplay everything as you kept a casual tone.
Your eyes met, and for a moment, the air between you crackled with tension and you felt your throat drying up and your heart beginning to race. Whenever he looked at you like this it made you feel as though all of your problems were melting away, that he would take care of everything.
"Listen, Yn," He began, his voice gentle as he stepped closer to you, his hand gently clasping your elbow and bringing you closer to him. Your steps fumbled a little as you crashed against his chest, your eyes never leaving his as you now felt how hard his heart was racing.
"I know we've got business to attend to, but I want to say...I'm grateful for the chance to reconnect with you..." You nodded at him, not knowing what to say or do, your heart was aching for you to reach out and kiss him but you needed to remain professional.
"Whatever happens with the hotel, I value what we have more than anything." Your heart fluttered at his words, despite your reservations about all of this you couldn't deny the connection you felt with him.
"Me too, Innie..." You replied softly, a small smile playing on your lips as he leaned down closer to you.
"Boss. The lawyers are downstairs, saying that something is wrong with the books." Your heart shattered into tiny shards, all of which felt as though they were beginning to pierce into your lungs leaving you breathless.
"We'll be right down," Jeongin spoke coldly, his hands holding onto you as you scrambled to get away from him.
"We should go downstairs," You mumbled, refusing to look at him and he missed the time you had before this.
"Yn." He tried to call out but you were already making a B-line for the staircase without looking back in his direction.
Tumblr media
In your office the tension hung heavy in the air as Joengin sat across from you, flanked by his team of lawyers. Your hands were shaking as you stared at one of the mn,
"I'm sorry, Yn, but the numbers don't lie." One of them said gravely, you'd been introduced but didn't bother to learn either of their names since you knew this was all going to fall through.
"The hotel is haemorrhaging money, and if we don't act fast, it's going to sink further into debt." He explained, sliding the papers over to you as you stared down at the maths you'd already been working out long before they came into the scene,
"Our recommendation is to cut our losses and walk away while we still can." The other one said to Jeongin but his jaw tightened, his expression unreadable as he absorbed everything.
"Innie, I know this looks bad but...I-I can fix it. I can get another loan." You tried to scramble for something, anything to keep him from walking away from this.
"Every bank has turned her down." The lawyer stated coldly, making your blood boil as you turned to face him,
"I'll fire some staff, make more cutbacks. I'll stop paying myself." You weren't telling them that you'd already done that, you just needed to buy some time to get him to stay.
"You haven't been paying yourself for months, you've been sleeping in your office." The second lawyer stated making you stare at him, wondering how long he'd been watching you for them to know all of this.
"You've been watching me?!" You snapped at the lawyer who looked as though you'd just bitten his head off.
"Sir, we recommend walking away." They both stated, standing up slowly as you stared at Jeongin, your eyes pleading with his. A knot formed in the pit of your stomach, the weight of the situation pressing down on your shoulders.
"I'm not walking away." He declared, his gaze locked on yours, your heart thumping rapidly against your chest.
"I made a commitment to Yn and I intend to honor it. We'll find a way to turn this around, no matter what it takes." He told the cooly. The lawyers exchanged incredulous glances, clearly taken back by Jeongin's stubbornness.
"With all due respect, Sir, this isn't a wise investment." One of them insisted.
"You'll be throwing good money after bad." Jeongin shook his head at them, he didn't care what they said he wasn't going to walk away from any of this. They were only here to oversee the signing of everything, everything they found was everything knew already and didn't care about.
"I'm not in this for the money. I'm in this because Yn is my friend, and I won't abandon her when she needs me most. We'll figure out a solution together, even if it means taking risks." You felt a surge of gratitude swell within you, a lump forming in your throat at his unwavering loyalty. Despite the odds stacked against you, he was still willing to stay by your side and you knew you had a fighting chance.
"T-Thank you...I-I don't know what I'd do without you." Your voice choked up a little and he smiled at you,
"You don't have to worry anymore Yn, I'll always have your back, no matter what," He told you reassuringly, with that the lawyers got out the papers and you all began signing. Jeongin put down more money than he needed but he was willing to do it for you.
Tumblr media
As the night stretched on, you and Jeongin found yourselves huddling together in your office, poring over the financial reports, and brainstorming ideas to salvage the hotel.
"We can have more functions held here, a friend of mine is having a wedding soon and I'm sure I can sway him to holding it here," He stated as you stared at him in complete awe. All night long you'd found yourself staring at him more and more.
"Sure. It's been a while since a wedding was at the "Celestial"." You giggled at the thought. You'd always loved hosting weddings but everything had died down when you didn't have enough staff to work the events.
"I can bring in other servers and we can slowly build everything back up," Jeongin smiled proudly of himself and you stared at him. The air crackled with tension as you thought back to your moment in the hallway earlier but you quickly went back to scribbling notes onto a pad. Your mind races with ideas other than weddings, you could host parties, charity balls, or anything you wanted.
Jeongin leaned in close, his presence comforting and yet electrifying all at once. You slowly looked up to meet his gaze and linger a little more than necessary. The years of unspoken longing bubbling to the surface, your defences crumbling like sandcastles in the side. Jeongin's hand reached out tentatively, cupping your cheek as he brushed his thumb along your skin. Your breath caught in your throat, your heart pounding against your chest as you leaned into his touch.
"Innie," You breathed out, your voice barely coming out above a whisper as you searched his eyes for any sign of hesitation. But he said nothing, his lips capturing yours in a kiss that ignited a firestorm inside of you.
In that stolen moment, time seemed to freeze around you as you melted into each other, the weight of your unspoken desire finally finding a release. You wrapped your arms around Joengin's neck as he pulled you onto his lap, your lips moving together in a silent promise of love and devotion.
"I-Innie," You breathed out as you broke apart, completely breathless and dizzy with desire, you knew that you wanted him badly.
"Sofa," You whispered, kissing down his neck and softly biting into his skin as you moved together toward the sofa. Jeongin carefully set you down on the sofa and sank to his knees in front of you,
"Yn, are you sure?-"
"Yes...Just please, touch me." You begged him, a smirk tugging on the corners of his lips as he slowly rolled your skirt up your hips.
"I've wanted to fuck you ever since I saw this skirt," He moans out, kissing up your thighs until he reaches your underwear, yanking them down in one swift movement, your heart hammered against your chest.
"R-Really?" You felt your body heating up as he wrapped your legs around his shoulders, dragging you to the edge of the sofa quickly.
"Don't act shocked, Cupcake. I've always wanted you," He said plainly as if it was common knowledge for you to know but you'd never had any idea that he did.
"You never said anything to me when we were last together," You battled back with him but he smirked,
"I was planning on it before I was yanked away from you,"
"You never wrote." You mumbled to him, it wasn't the time to get into this now when you were laid bare in front of him but you wanted answers.
"Orders from dad, no contact."
"But-"
"Will you let me eat your pussy? I'm fucking starving, Cupcake." He growled out before you nodded, giggling a little but it was quickly replaced by a gasp as he ran his tongue up your slit. His mouth was hot and wet as he slowly ran his tongue against you, building you up as he ate you out like a man starved. Your head rolled back against the back of the sofa as you cried out his name. You couldn't remember the last time you'd slept with someone or even made yourself feel come but Jeongin was already better than any memory you had.
"F-Fuck," You hiss out, your hips slowly grinding against him as he hummed against your clit, vibrations chilling up and down your spine, as you cry out his name.
"I-Innie," You moaned out, raking your fingers through his hair and pushing him deeper into you, his tongue swirling around your clit as he slowly pushed two fingers into you. Thrusting them slowly and softly, curling them to that one spot that made your head spin.
"Just like that," You plead with him, your heels digging into his shoulder blades as you feel the tension building deep inside of you. Jeongin pressed himself closer to you, humming against your clit until it was too much your orgasm hit you suddenly, your legs shaking around him as he smirked.
"Good fucking girl," He groans, standing up and chuckling as you quickly removed his belt, throwing it against the room and pulling down his pants.
"Please," You beg as he lays you down on the sofa, kissing you softly as he carefully lines himself up at your entrance, your legs carefully wrapping around his waist.
"You're so hot when you beg." He moans out as he slowly pushes into you, filling you to the hilt as you let out a strangled moan. He was bigger than you'd been expecting and you whimpered a little,
"M-move," You urged, bucking your hips a little to let him know he was good to move and he smiled kissing you roughly as he slowly pulled out of you, only to slam back in a second later.
"F-Fuck yes!" You cry out, your eyes screwed shut as you clutched onto him, trying to adjust to his size as he continued to pound into you. His cock driving into you, hitting that one spot that made you scream louder. Your nails dragged down his back as you searched for something to cling onto, ripping holes into his shirt as your head rolled back in complete ecstasy.
"Jeongin!" You moan out, your clit grinding against him on every stroke of his cock, the pressure building inside of you hitting near its breaking point.
"Cum for me, cupcake. Let me feel you," He moans out, his thrusting getting faster as you finally felt the pressure snap and you came around his cock violently, causing your back to arch away from the sofa.
"S-Shit, Yn." He groans, unable to hold himself back anymore as he thrusts into you, slowly coming undone inside of you as you lay there. The wind knocked out of both of you as you let out small chuckles at one another.
Tumblr media
Wrapped in each other's arms, you lay on the sofa together, the warmth of your embrace serving as a sanctuary from the outside world. Jeongin's fingers gently traced patterns along your back,
"My dad never wanted me to contact you after we moved away. He said it was best to leave the past behind us," He finally told you, his words hesitant.
"I regretted it every day...Losing touch with you was like losing a piece of myself. But now that I have you back in my life, I never want to let go." A smile tugged on his lips and tears brimmed in your eyes at the weight of his words.
"Innie..." You whispered, your voice cracking a little. Jeongin pressed a soft kiss to your forehead,
"I love you, Yn. I've loved you since we were kids, and I'll love you for the rest of my days." Tears spilt down your cheeks as you clung to him, your heart overflowing,
"I love you too, Innie." You confessed,
"I always have and I always will," You finished as he kissed your lips softly. In that moment, as you lay close to one another, you knew your love was a force to be reckoned with. That no matter what, with him by your side, you'd be able to overcome any obstacle that stood in your way.
Tumblr media
"I want this place spotless!" You called out to the event hall of your hotel, everyone inside was rushing around at the last second to make sure everything was perfect for you. You placed your hand on your stomach and watched as one of your guards - Carlos - made his way over to you with some snacks,
"You're going to make it obvious," You mumbled to him as you took the crisps from him and started to eat from the packet. It seemed as though ever since you'd hit the 6-week mark of your pregnancy you'd been craving crisps or anything that was savoury and Carlos had been the man to help you. Mostly because he was the only other person who knew about it and he only knew because he found you crying in your office whilst holding the stick.
I think it should be obvious. Too much stress isn't good for the baby and have you told Mr Yang yet?" Carlos was far too comfortable with you, you thought maybe it was time to switch him for another guard but you'd grown comfortable with him also and you enjoyed your talks together.
"No." You mumbled with a mouthful of crisps, shaking your head at him. All week long he'd been trying to get you to tell Jeongin about the pregnancy but you were nervous about it. It had only been a few months since the two of you got together and you knew if he found out he was only going to stop you from working Jisung's wedding that your hotel was hosting and that was the last thing you wanted.
Everything you and Jeongin had been working toward was here and you weren't going to let someone else take the reigns on this.
"Don't you think you should?" He raised his brow at you but you mumbled what he said back to him in a mocking tone and walked toward your office. You opened the door and stared at Carlos with a weak smile,
"I'll tell him when the time is right after the wedding is over." You shrugged not realising that Jeongin was standing inside of your office and Carlos held back the smirk. He'd known about Jeongin coming to visit you and it was his intention to try to get him to overhear everything,
"Tell who what when the time is right?" You cringed as you heard Jeongin and you glared at Carlos.
"You're a backstabber and I hate you." You mumbled slamming the door in his face and making your way toward the chair behind your desk.
"Is there something I should know?" Jeongin chuckled, watching you closely as you shook your head
"No. It's nothing, it's just Carlos worrying for nothing." You hated the fact that you were lying to your boyfriend but you needed to make sure you worked this wedding. You'd been planning it for months now and you weren't going to let Jeongin or anyone else take it away from you, not when it was the first wedding in years.
"Is it about your pregnancy?" Your hand paused midway to your mouth and the crisps fell from your grasp,
"How-" Your heart sank as you thought about him finding out through someone else but you. The last thing you ever wanted was for him to be upset but he didn't seem it in the slightest, in fact, he seemed rather happy.
"Please, you've been eating crisps non-stop, you're throwing up and not to mention some of the maids were gossiping about it when they found the test in your trash." Jeongin had known for weeks and at first, he was a little upset that you hadn't come to him but he could understand why.
"Those little rats," You mumbled to yourself, sighing and looking at him, suddenly feeling the guilt take over you as you whimpered a little.
"I didn't tell you because I knew you'd stop me working." You defend but Jeongin eyes you up closely
"Did I though?" He smirked, raising a brow at you. Sure, at first he wanted to stop you from doing everything but he knew that would only make you worse and neither of you wanted that.
"Well, no, but-"
"I won't stop you working but as soon as I see you stressing that's when I'll put a stop to things." He reached his hand over the desk and squeezed yours softly,
"Thank you," You whispered, smiling a little as you thought about it.
"Jisung and his bride-to-be are waiting for us in the Restaurant," They were waiting to go over a final plan and you had a special surprise for them as well. You'd been working with a private contractor for a few weeks making sure that the honeymoon suite was perfect for them and it was finally complete which you were going to show them around after food.
Tumblr media
The sun dipped below the horizon casting a warm glow over the gardens of your hotel you watched as your daughter ran toward Changbin's son - Rath - who was quickly running away from her.
"Your son is a nousense." Jeongin grumbled, his arms folded against his chest as your daughter continued to chase Rath through the gardens yelling for him to wait for her.
"Your daughter is the one with the crush, it's not my son." Changbin laughed as he wrapped his arms around his wife, your head shaking as the two men began to bicker back and forth with one another. It felt good to have nights like this together.
You found yourself close with all seven of the other wives Jeongin's friends were married to, each of you helping raise each other's kids or just being close friends, it was a bond that could never be broken.
"Wait till he hears that Jisung's son wants to date his daughter." Chan laughed loudly causing Changbin to yell louder and in Jisung's direction this time. You giggled a little lacing your fingers with Jeongin's as you listened to all the children laugh as they played games in the garden and you couldn't think of a better place to be than right here.

#! — [ talk ] yang jeongin
— fem!reader // nsfw // oral (f receiving), this is honestly so rushed and barely proofread i'm sorry 😭 req!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jeongin had never seen you like this. Face flushed in utter darkness, colour continuing down to paint at your neck, your hands aching to hide yourself behind them – only because he had been curious of your wishes.
Admittedly, the both of you were new to being intimate with the other. It had clicked well the first time, surely, yet there were things unspoken and hidden behind secret thoughts and shy fantasies. Thoughts and fantasies you were eager to explore when the time was right, though that didn’t make the matter all the less nerve-wrecking – it was embarrassing admitting to ones likings and most sinful dreams, even with a close loved one, with a person as trustable as Jeongin.
He had been littering you in kisses, trails of wet on cheeks, shoulders and nape, on the expanse of your chest, the curves and dips of waist to hip. And if he was told it took one sentence merely to seemingly ruin you, to take any form of boldness out your body he would have not believed it. He would have laughed as the disbelief had set in his body, watching you with aghast eyes as you grew a stuttering mess.
“Tell me what you want, baby.”
One sentence only, barely spoken loud enough to register, hushed against the flesh of your stomach. By that time there hadn’t been an inch unkissed, Jeongin’s lips reddened, your body littered in flower shaped bites. You had tensed up, looked down at the man between your thighs in utter loss for words – wanting to tell him that you wanted everything, any and all if it was from him, yet not finding the words to. Wanting to tell him that if it came to him there was nothing you didn’t want, that your wishes could run beyond sane imagination – though you said nothing at all. Merely looked and blinked until he had found your eyes, questioning look within them, utterly surprised to see you like this.
Ever since Jeongin had met you he’d admired your confidence. Your boldness to speak your truth when needed, to stand up for yourself without a helping hand. You’d been the one who approached him first, turning him into a state of flusterness nine times out of ten, and he’d always loved it. Though if someone was to ask him now – he might answer to like this side just as much. Was so new to seeing you like this, especially when it came to him, that it got him chuckling in his place which only caused you to run redder, darker. To convert his eyes off him, groaning in flooding embarrassment.
“I don't know you like this at all... it's cute.”
Teasing tone lacing his voice, and you whined out in frustration. The spreading timidity wasn’t in your control, and you’d liked it much better off, would like it much better if you could simply speak your mind. If you could blurt out all the anarchic thoughts that coursed your head, or if Jeongin, at least, didn’t take notice of your state. Though it was much to late for that.
“C'mon baby...”, continuing his way down your body, kissing in between his words – your body grew hotter in anticipation or in embarrassment, you weren’t all too sure by now, "...I can’t give you what you want if you don’t tell me.”, locking eyes with you from beneath, his darkened on your flickering ones, and you urged to shut them. Urged to convert your gaze anywhere that wasn’t him – because truly, he was at fault. Jeongin’s hands, warm and grasping at your body, his wettened lips on most sensitive spots – it all drove you to a place of wordlessness, of embarrassing shyness and insanity. He was the reason you were unable to express a single word and yet he was the one wanting to hear all of them.
“Tell me.”
Voice so tantalising heat shot right to your core, and you closed your eyes after all – it was easier to utter words that way, surely.
“Eat me out.”
Voice so silent Jeongin nearly overheard it – yet he smiled to himself in mischief, watching your ever darkening grimace of shame, the way your eyes wouldn’t open still. Not too big of a wish if both of you were honest, and if it came to Jeongin he'd be ready and on your knees for you whenever you'd ask him to, doing whatever you asked him to. Yet it was something new for you altogether – that was nothing but a valid reason for your state. Though Jeongin was compassionate with you. It didn’t take him long to settle between your legs, parting them in the process, earning easy access to your wettening core. A sight new for him and it needed Jeongin a pair of seconds to recollect himself, to collect his fallen jaw and widened eyes before he lowered himself core level, slowly. Taking in your scent, feeling your body tensing up. Connecting tongue to slit, experimentally first, surer then when your hips grinded against him softly. And it didn’t require him much explaining – attentive eyes on you entirely, watching your every move as he tongued and sucked at your clit, left butterfly kisses around areas most sensitive, groped at your thighs to keep you down, or closer to him. It didn’t require him much explaining because with every of his antics your voice grew in volume, with ever of his kitten licks your face turned into one of contortion, with every inserting finger he added to drive you closer to release your body tensed and tightened, trembled against the mattress until you saw white, until Jeongin’s tongue and fingers, his touch grew sheer painful to bear, until oversensitivity got a hold of your body and weakened limbs, minds.

mornings with jeongin ✨
Tumblr media
so, this one's based on the skz code where seungmin wakes each member, but i couldn't find a gif of innie from it 😭 this will do! look at him! such a pretty boy 🥰 anyway, i hope you guys enjoy! much love 💓
~
"Oh my god," someone says as a bright light hits your closed eyes. You release a groan before turning into Jeongin, hiding your face in his arm.
Footsteps quickly fade away and you deeply sigh through your nose. You get comfortable again before tuning everything out. You can feel Jeongin shift in his spot, resting a hand on your waist.
"Shh, look at them," the same voice reaches your ears, causing you to flutter your eyes open.
"What are you doing?" You ask groggily, lifting your head a bit. You can see a cameraman standing behind Seungmin, and you immediately cover your face. "You're filming?!"
"Not right now, no. I made them stop when I saw you in here," Seungmin states while walking into the room, smacking his head off of the doorway.
He grunts in pain and he falls to his knees. Jeongin wakes up to the noise, his eyes finding you first. You smile at the man before his eyes drift towards Seungmin.
The two of you failed to notice a few other members lurking by the door. "Did you guys sleep together?" Minho asks, poking his head inside the room.
"Innocently, yeah," Jeongin mumbles while stretching his arms. "We're just friends."
The smile on your face drops at his words, the harsh reality kicking in. You stay quiet as the other members leave the two of you alone. You bring the blanket up to your chin, planning to stay in bed as they do their morning mission.
"Are you going back to sleep?" Jeongin asks you, pushing himself up from the bed.
You nod your head before nuzzling it into the pillow. Your best friend chuckles while pushing the hair out of your face.
"Would you ever sleep with me?" You ask him, feeling your cheeks flush with embarrassment.
Jeongin stops what he's doing and turns his gaze back to you. "I- What?" He stutters, shocked.
Your fingers clutch the stark white pillow, meeting his eyes. "Would you ever sleep with me? Like, in the non-innocent way," you ask again, preparing your heart for his answer.
The black-haired man wets his lips and furrows his brows. He mumbles something incoherently before getting out to bed. You watch as he walks over towards the door, gently closing it.
"I don't want them intruding," he mentions to you while crawling back on the bed. You stay silent as his eyes roam over your face. "Is this because of what Minho hyung said?"
You shrug. "Just out of curiosity, I guess," you whisper, toying with the hem of the blanket.
Jeongin sighs, bringing one of his hands to your face. "I would sleep with you," he confirms, stroking your cheek with his thumb. "But, I at least want to take you out first."
Your cheeks blush as his words sink in. He wants to take me out? You think to yourself. "I would love for you to take me out," you whisper with a smile.
He smiles softly before closing the space between you. His lips are soft on yours and you can feel your heart pounding against your chest. You pull away and dip your head, becoming more nervous.
"Don't get shy now," Jeongin giggles, placing both his hands on your cheeks, tilting your head back up. He looks into your eyes before whispering, "I'll take you out when we get back to Seoul. Promise."
"Okay."

A/n: There are quite a few for Seungmin's lol, and yes I do think Seungmin is the type to use emoticons instead of emojis (mostly when he just can't be asked to search for the right emoji lol) *For some reason when I put in a read more break, the text post photos no longer stay grouped and instead stay as giant indidivual line by line photos (idk if it only does it for me, or maybe just on desktop, but if it happens for you, I'm sorry!)

she felt a head peer over her bare shoulder, she slightly stirred. tufts of hair tickled at her cheek as the boy beside her is leaning to press a kiss upon her shoulder. her eyes flutter open seeing jeongin’s bedroom covered in the christmas morning sunlight. a familiar warm feeling bubbles throughout her entire body as his arms tighten around her. she leans back into his embrace, opening up her neck for him. he goes in pressing kisses, making his way up to her jawline.
she squirmed beneath his touch. “g’morning innie.”
jeongin’s husky voice cuts through the room. “hi baby girl. sleep alright?”
she nodded letting a forceful yawn escape. jeongin brings his legs in closer causing her to curl into a tighter ball.
“that’s good. merry Christmas my love. i can't wait to spoil you today.” he replied.
one of jeongin’s hands traces over her stomach. the pit in her stomach drops even lower as she fights back letting out a gastly sigh. instead, she shifts her head lining her lips right up with jeongin’s. a sweet, gentle kiss turns a little heated as jeongin pushes himself up, going to hover over her. he lets an airy sigh, feeling her fingers travel over his bare chest.
jeongin cracks his signature smirk as he nuzzles his nose into her hair. “the things you do to me,” he paused trying to catch his breath. “im glad that you’re all mine, sweetheart.”
her sweet giggles were a beautiful song to jeongin’s ears.
she runs a hand through jeongin’s matted bed head. “you sure know how to make my heart feel like it’s going to explode.”
jeongin props his head on the palm of his hand. “i could do much more.”
a pink blush sets over her cheeks. she released a cry covering her cheeks. her eyes squeeze shut. “yang jeongin!”
jeongin giggles, prying her hands away from her cheeks. “let’s get up soon before the other’s raid the gifts and someone opens up the wrong box.”

"This is 'mpossible!" You hear one of the twins groan from their room.
"Yeah!" Agrees the other
"Cheonsa agideul, it's not impossible, look," You hear Jeongin say softly, "Just watch Appa."
You finish getting ready for work and tip toe over to her room. You watch from the doorframe. The three of them are all kneeling on one knee, hunched over the other. Jeongin's back is to you and the girls are too focused on their shoes to notice you. You watch fondly, not even noticing a small smile creep on your face.
"Take these two fingers like you're about to make a finger heart... uh huh, both hands, and grab the lace with your three fingers like this...twist one hand like this...yeah, and twist the other one backwards like this...good, good...now twist both of your hands like this like you're about to pinch someone's cheeks and grab the lace like this...okay ready? Now pull...Perfect!"
"Look, appa, I did it!" Your older twin shouts in excitement.
"I did it too! I did it first!" Your younger twin cheers.
"I was born first,"
"You were born stupid and ugly,"
"We have the same face, stupid."
You fail to hide a laugh, causing Jeongin to turn around. He mouths a 'help me' as the twins start to argue.

bad day • yang jeongin
genre: stray kids jeongin fluff. established relationship au.
synopsis: jeongin makes every bad day better.
warnings: none.
wc: 600 words.
notes: my work day was not the best today! i wish i had a jeongin to make my days better </3
Tumblr media
Today sucked: You woke up late for work and couldn’t figure out what to wear. You missed your bus and therefore, were late to a really important meeting. Your boss chewed you out after the meeting and your annoying coworkers were being even more annoying than usual on your lunch break. Your computer died during the post-lunch slump and you spent the rest of your afternoon with the IT department trying to fix it, missing out on valuable work time on a project due next week. You cried on the bus ride home (thankfully, you didn’t miss this bus). All you wanted all day was to go home and forget this day ever happened, so turning your key and unlocking your front door feels even better today than it usually does.
You hear soft humming coming from your kitchen as you enter your apartment, and suddenly, your day feels as if it’s gotten so much brighter. Your boyfriend is singing to himself as he rummages around the spice rack in your tall kitchen cabinet, wearing his favorite grey hoodie that you love to steal.
You quickly run up to approach Jeongin from behind, wrapping your arms around his waist. He quickly looks back to see you, leaning your forehead against his back and gripping him tightly.
“Hi baby,” he says softly, twisting his body to face you. He puts his arms on your waist and squeezes you close, engulfing you in his warmth and his love. “How was your day?”
“It was,” you start, your voice catching in your throat, “so bad.” Tears brim at the corners of your eyes, falling slowly down your cheeks as you begin to cry quietly into Jeongin’s broad chest.
“Awww, baby,” Jeongin pouts. “That bad, huh?” He moves one of his hands to your head, patting it softly in the way he knows you like. His heart breaks at your sniffles as you shake from your crying in his arms.
You two stay like that as you continue crying, Jeongin’s strong arm holding you close and his hand continuing to softly pat your head in comfort. Every now and then, he drops a tiny peck onto the top of your head, whispering “It’s okay’s” and “I’ve got you’s” to you that only make you cry harder.
Eventually, your breathing slows and your body slumps against Jeongin’s again, exhausted from the crying. Jeongin moves his hands to your back and rubs slowly, as if he’s trying to physically loosen and remove the worries from your tired frame. You peel away to look at your boyfriend’s face, which is laced with concern at his sad partner.
“Better?” He asks tentatively, still running his hands down ur back. You nod, sighing deeply and his eyes crinkle into a relieved eye smile at your visual shift in mannerism.
“Are you hungry at all? I was just about to start making dinner,” he asks, beginning to turn back around to the spice rack, before you wrap your arms around him again and murmur a soft “no.”
“You don’t want to eat, baby?” He asks, concern beginning to fill his voice again.
“Just want to cuddle,” you reply softly, burying your face into his chest again. You feel Jeongin’s chest move softly as he lets out a small chuckle.
“Just want me to hold you like this?” You nod, and he complies. He wraps his arms back around you and pulls you close against him, dropping another quick kiss onto your forehead. “I’m sorry you had such a bad day. It makes me sad seeing you so sad.”
“It’s okay,” you say softly, looking up at the boy you know would give the world to you if he could. “It’s so much better now.”

Traditions- Jeongin Imagine
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: bff!jeongin x gn!reader
Genre: fluffy birthday
Synopsis: it's innie's birthday, and you have a fun way of celebrating!
Word Count: 800+
Warning: n/a
A/N: happy new birthday jeongin!
Tumblr media
February 8th
Jeongin’s birthday has arrived, and you have been preparing something for this 23rd. You and Jeongin have been best friends since primary school, and you two have a tradition you like to do with one another. You make each other cursed birthday cakes. This tradition started about 3 years ago when you accidently butchered his cake. He decided to get playful revenge and make you a terrible looking cake for your birthday. Since then, the tradition has stuck.
This year, you decided to make him one that looked nice until you could read the lettering on the cake. As you were smoothing the icing, your doorbell rang. “Come in!” you call out. The door opens and Jeongin walks into your apartment. “There’s the birthday boy!”
“Oh my gosh,” he smiles, taking off his coat to hang up on your coat rack. He pauses to see the cake you were decorating for him.
You catch him staring at his cake with a look of confusion. “Don’t look at it yet! Put something on the TV; I’m almost done!” you say, covering the cake with your arms.
“Okay okay!” he says. “I’m putting on Miraculous Ladybug then.”
“Whatever you want. It’s your birthday!” you exclaim while taking the cake off the island and on the counter so he can’t look at it.
While he was watching his show, you added the letters on top of the cake as well as a few final touches. Just as his episode was ending, you finished the cake. “Alright birthday boy, time for presents and cake!”
Jeongin pauses the TV and stands up, “Should I close my eyes?”
“Of course!” you exclaim and take off your apron.
He closes his eyes and holds out his hands for you to guide him into the kitchen. Once you bring him to the kitchen, you place his hands on the island to let him know where he is. You carefully place the cake back on the island and take out a few birthday candles to light.
“Alright, you may open your eyes!”
Jeongin opens one eye at first, scared to see why the cake looked pretty from a distance. As soon as he read the words on the cake, he busted out laughing.
Peepeepoopoo
A phrase you could not stop saying when you sent him a TikTok one day. It annoys the crap out of him, but he secretly finds it funny when you say it.
“Do you like it?” you question once you stopped laughing.
“I love it!” he wipes the tears from his eyes. “I expect nothing less from you.” He ruffles your hair. You push him to get him to stop messing up your hair.
“Make a wish!” you smile and hug around his waist.
Jeongin puts his hands together and closes his eyes. After a few seconds, he blows out the candle. You release your hold from him to clap. “Happy Birthday Innie!”
“Thank you, Y/n.” He slices his own cake to portion how much he wants. Once you both have your slices of cake, you guys sit on the couch together. “I love this tradition we have. It helps make the day feel special.”
You nod in agreement, “I love it, too. It’s a surprise you know you won’t be disappointed in. Oh! I need to grab your present!”
You quickly finish your cake and bolt to your room to grab the wrapped package for your friend. In a hurry, you place the present in Jeongin’s lap and sit next to him again. You were very excited to see his reaction to his present.
“You didn’t put a bomb in here right?” he teases. You roll your eyes, not commenting on his not so funny joke. He takes apart the present to see a small, plain, brown box. “I love boxes! How did you know?!”
“Oh my god Jeongie. If you don’t open your present now, I’m taking it back.”
He says something along those lines every year without fail. He finally opens the box to see a picture of his house. He gives it a puzzling look. He turns it around to see dates written on the back: February 16th-24th.
“What is this? Is this a picture from a few years ago?” he asks.
“Technically yes. You should see what else is in there,” you point at the white paper still in the box.
He puts down the picture next to him and picks up the folded paper. He unfolds the paper, scanning what is printed on it. He eyes widen in realization, and he snaps his head to you. “Are we going home?!”
You nod your head, your eyes filling up with happy tears. “We are going home!”
He sets the paper back in the box and moves it to the side to give you a bone crushing hug, causing you two to lie down on the couch. “Thank you thank you thank you! I haven’t been home in so long,” he whispers.
“I know. Me too,” you say.
You couldn’t wait to visit home with your best friend.

seashells.
› genre: yandere!mermaid jeongin x reader au, angst/fluff
› description: jeongin lives a lonely life after dying and becoming a mermaid, until he meets you.
› word count: 5.3k
› warnings: murder, suicide, drowning, eating humans??, family problems
› note: this is my first au :) i hope you guys enjoy it !!!
Tumblr media
jeongin first caught a glimpse of you on the vacant sand of his beach.
he wasn’t quite sure what you were up to, but he could sense a playful nature in you, one that he didn’t recognize in more than a handful of young humans. no matter how enticing you were, or how curious his young mind was, he didn’t dare to go near humans.
so instead, he gawked at you from afar as you busied yourself with compiling shells.
he lingered until you took off just after sunset, turning his attention to the water below him, sinking back into the sea.
jeongin he chose to be alone rather than with other merfolk, staying just below sea level to bask in the warm sun. his mind was often blank, swimming aimlessly until nightfall when he swam to the abandoned shore to stare at the stars.
as jeongin made his way to the shore, his thoughts drifted back to the human that he had studied earlier.
a smile lit up on his face as he noticed a beautiful seashell. you had left a few behind.
hardly any humans ever came to this beach. it was concealed by a forest just behind it. beyond that forest was a small village, far away from most other civilizations. the place that he had grown up in.
why had you wandered down here? would you be back?
he had hoped so. he barely got the chance to watch humans anymore.
jeongin held the shell up to his ear and listened to the sound of the waves crashing.
there were more shells. sleep could wait.
he spent the next hour obtaining all the shells on the coast into a pile, hoping that you would come back to see it before high tide and be happy.
the thought of your joy was what drifted him off to sleep under the waves with a grin on his face.
once he had woken up from his slumber, he swam back to his rock, bathing in the sun until he heard the distant sound of soft footsteps.
he could sense that it was you.
everything had worked out perfectly. he wished he could see the expression on your face as you picked up the shells he found for you, studying each one closely.
jeongin watched you with a fond smile. this time you had brought a towel and a book to read.
he had lots of questions that he wanted to ask you, but it would be foolish to talk to you.
why were you spending your whole day out here?
once again, you had left at dusk.
this became a routine very shortly. jeongin would collect seashells just before sleeping, then make his way to his rock to sunbathe until he could watch you with a smile.
he became overwhelmingly fond of you.
Tumblr media
the previous night, he had a difficult time collecting seashells for you. he had been running out lately, so he had to travel far along the beach to bring more for you.
and now, he was being shaken awake, looking up at a worried girl.
his heart sank. he must’ve slept in too long. it was unlike him to do so.
“are you okay? are you hurt?”
his lips pressed together, his heart pounding. not only from the adrenaline of being caught but god, you were stunning.
you hadn’t noticed his tail under the water. if he tried hard, he could get away with you still thinking he was human.
he fought the urge to stay in your arms and speak to you, knowing the consequences.
“your face was underwater! you were gonna drown! what are you doing?”
he peeled himself away and slipped back into the sea, tears brimming his eyes as he swam away from the lovely person he had been yearning to meet for weeks.
unknowingly to him, you dove into the ocean, determined to save the stupid boy who probably wanted to drown himself.
you wouldn’t let him die.
jeongin felt arms around his torso bringing him back up to the surface. his eyes widened, not expecting you to chase him.
you tugged him back to the shore, holding him close to not let him get away again.
your eyes were squeezed shut, trying to spit out the taste of salt in your mouth as you hauled him onto the sand.
jeongin couldn’t do anything to stop you anymore.
he was frozen as you opened your eyes, your jaw dropping from the shock.
“there’s no way,” your shock turned into an amused grin, “there’s no way you’re real!“
you squatted down next to him, “can you speak? i’m y/n.” you made funny gestures at him, convinced that he didn’t know what you were saying.
he raised an eyebrow at your motions, “i’m jeongin.”
the mermaid could speak?
“but i can’t be in the air for this long. can i go back in the water?”
you paused before nodding, tugging on his heavy body once again.
once he was submerged in water once again, you sat in the waves with him, your clothes sticking to you with sand all over your body.
“i’m y/n, do you wanna be friends?” you reached out your hand, hoping that he’d shake it.
confused, he stared at your hand before giving you a high-five, “yes.”
you let out a loud giggle, one that was music to jeongin’s ears. he would have to make you laugh like that more.
“i have so many questions for you.”
“i have so many for you too!” he interrupted you, “what do you do with all the seashells i give to you? why do you come here every day to read and watch the sunset? what’s it like in the village? do you get sunburnt?”
“you’re the one making the piles of seashells?”
he nodded his head, still waiting eagerly for your answers.
“i put the seashells on my dresser in my room. i think the ocean is very pretty and i don’t like my family, so i come here. right now i’m reading,” your eyes darted around to find the book that you left stranded, gasping at the waves drifting it away from the beach.
“my book!” you rose to your feet, sprinting to save it.
you tripped over the waves pathetically, getting wet for the second time today.
jeongin laughed out loud at your fall, able to catch up to the book almost immediately.
he swam back to you with the book just as you were getting up and brushing the sand off of your legs.
“thank you,” you puffed as you grabbed the soggy book from his hands.
his hands felt sparks when they touched yours, a giddy feeling building up in his chest.
jeongin swam back to the original spot as you found a dry place to put the book. you met him there, laying on the hot sand with a smile on your face.
“there’s no way you’re real.”
“there’s no way you know i’m real.”
after that, you both sat in silence for a while, staring at the late afternoon clouds in the sky in deep thought. the cool ocean breeze soothed the beating sun on your skin.
jeongin’s eyes closed, his face almost completely submerged in the water, taking in the moment. his smile hadn’t faded the entire day until this point, and you could tell he was drifting into sleep.
you were the first to break the silence. “how do you pee?”
the topic made him turn to look at you, a chuckle rising in his throat.
“just like a fish.”
“just in the middle of the ocean? gross.”
“the ocean cleans itself. other animals eat it.” jeongin tried desperately to hold in his laughter as your face wrinkled in disgust.
“what do you eat?”
“seaweed.”
“gross. have you had human food?”
“of course i have!”
“what’s your favorite food?”
“i miss eating bread.”
your face lit up, “we have lots of bread! my family runs a bakery!”
“you’ve got to bring me some!”
“i owe it to you for all the seashells,” you ruffled his wet hair with a smile.
a light blush dusted across his face at the touch, his heart jumping into his throat.
the sun was beginning to set, and he finally got to watch it with you by his side.
“you’ll be back tomorrow, yeah?” you questioned, “i want to keep talking to you. i don’t have too many friends in the village.”
“of course. i’ve always been here.”
his hand hesitantly reached for yours, just brushing over the top of it.
immediately you pulled away, unknowingly making jeongin’s heart sink.
“i should get going. my mom will get upset if i stay out any later.”
“alright,” he pouted, “i’ll see you tomorrow.”
he sunk back into the desolated sea after you quickly left, trying to find more seashells for tomorrow.
jeongin let the ocean carry his tears away. he shouldn’t be so attached to you already. it would never work out.
you were destined to be with a human.
Tumblr media
jeongin woke up on the shore once again, earlier than yesterday. you weren’t quite there yet.
according to your routine, you should show up a little before high tide.
that’s exactly what he did. he sensed your familiar footsteps, but dread ran through his body as he realized that you weren’t alone. panicked, he looked over in your direction to see his worst nightmare.
your hand was intertwined with a human boy.
in shock, he stared with his mouth open, the pain quickly spreading throughout his body. he plunged into the water to scream in agony. jeongin hadn’t felt this amount of feeling since before he had become a merman.
“jeongin!” he heard your terrible, angelic voice from above the water, “i’m here!“
“i promise he’s a real mermaid! i promise i saw him! just wait until he swims up. see? he left shells for me!”
“i brought you bread like you asked!”
he curled around himself, the ocean enclosing around him like a blanket of comfort as he listened to you try to assure your boyfriend that he was there.
no wonder you showed no signs of interest in him. he was making a fool out of himself the whole time.
“we should just go. he’s probably swimming somewhere else.” the man didn’t believe you, trying to tug you away from the shore.
reluctantly, you obeyed him, but not before hurling the roll of bread into the ocean, watching it sink below.
“you just wasted perfectly good bread, y/n!”
“he’ll eat it.”
and just like that, you were gone with the man.
his existence made him feel sick. if he wasn’t there, would you fall for him instead? he pondered the question, watching the bread float on the shore with tear-stained cheeks.

the next morning, you had arrived alone, determined to see jeongin again.
“i’m here! are you here? please be here,” you shouted, startling him awake. he had slept in again. which could’ve been risky.
sensing that nobody was around, he swam towards you, his head exploding above the water.
“where were you yesterday?”
all he wanted to focus on was the bread in between your fingers. he reached out and grabbed it with a mischievous grin, shoving it into his mouth.
he closed his eyes in pleasure, savoring it in his mouth.
“that was so good!”
“you never answered my question! i brought my boyfriend. it was embarrassing.”
jeongin scowled, loathing the conversation about that dreadful guy.
“about that,” he lied right through his teeth, trying to make up an alibi, “i can only talk to one person at a time. it’s too dangerous to talk in pairs.”
surprisingly, the lie made sense, despite it not technically being a rule, “if there’s only one person, they’ll just be seen as delusional. that’s why.”
you easily bought the justification, leaning down to ruffle his unkempt hair again. “i did seem delusional. good job.”
jeongin tried to push down his feelings, teeth clenching as he dunked his head back into the water to breathe. damn you for your stupid touches.
the day was long and unbearable for jeongin. he couldn’t touch you or be too close to you.
it was all because of your boyfriend. everything was going wonderfully until he had shown up.
“i can’t wait for you to meet him. i’m sure you two will get along, he’s just the sweetest boy. kind of like you!”
at nightfall, he was too sour to compile shells for you. instead, he dwelled right where you had left him, at the shore.
the waves wrecked onto his body.
the sea used to be tranquil, engulfing him in a warm hug and protecting him from the stressful world in the village that he once lived.
but now, all it did was hold him back from you.
jeongin wallowed in his silent misery, the moonlight glowing on the dark sea that surrounded him.
he flinched at the sudden rustling leaves and snapping twigs, diving back into the deep water. he sensed a human.
it was no other than the man that made him see green with jealousy.
his head popped out of the water, making himself known.
the boy let out a yelp at his presence, jumping back. “hello? who are you?”
jeongin stayed silent, creeping closer to the shore. his vision was hazy, he could feel his blood pumping through his veins.
the closer he got, the more adrenaline he felt, especially as your boyfriend followed, getting close enough to pull him into the water by his legs.
his screams were muffled as jeongin pulled him under, all thoughts flying out the window as he held down his thrashing body.
all he needed to do was keep him under until he stopped breathing. then it was over. you wouldn’t have a boyfriend anymore.
tears fell down jeongin’s cheeks in an endless stream as he watched the man battle to hold his breath.
“i’m sorry,” he uttered, though he knew that the boy couldn’t hear him over the bubbles, “i’m sorry. just hold on a bit longer.”
jeongin knew it all too well. he understood what it felt like to drown. by now, his chest must be on fire, his heartbeat must be rushing through his ears. he was confused and disoriented, he couldn’t see or hear anything around him.
it was painful to watch his body finally fight against him, taking in a breath of salty water only to cough it out and lose even more precious air.
he was still kicking, but it would stop soon. nausea, the throbbing, the coldness, and then his life. it would all stop.
after his last attempt at shoving jeongin away, his world fell silent. he was dead.
what would he do now? how would he get rid of the body?
if he didn’t get it out of the sea, he would surely transform into a siren from how tragic his death must’ve been for him. but if jeongin hauled his body out, you would find him in the morning.
“jeongin,” papas voice was stern, shaking a bronze dagger in his hand, “with how much you love the sea, i wouldn’t be surprised for you to become a sailor one day.”
“in the case that you come across a siren, resist the song. when you feel yourself slipping, attack them with bronze. it will kill them. if you don’t, they’ll eat your flesh.”
“why do they eat you?” the young boy asked, curious about the stories that papa always had to tell.
“if they kill you and leave you in the sea, you’ll become a siren as well.“
jeongin hesitated, staring at the lifeless body in his arms before leaning down and nibbling the flesh.
he tried to tear it. but alas, his teeth weren’t as sharp as a siren. he was a mermaid. he died in peace.
the salty skin was repulsing, and he wouldn’t be able to eat the corpse even if he wanted to. he knew where he needed to go.
a siren’s cave. the place where all the sailors in the area went missing at sea after hearing the beautiful voice of lee minho.
his teeth were as sharp as needles. his tail was silver and slick, not a sole scale to be found. his skin was a grey color with a blue hue.
“minho?” he wriggled into the dark cave hesitantly, hauling the body behind him.
“it’s jeongin! i need your help!”
“look who finally came back below the sea! i’m so glad you’re back,” he closed his eyes as minho pinched his cheeks with a grin, “what do you need from your elder?”
minho had been this way since before he had become a siren, always babying jeongin and giving in to his every wish.
it wasn’t common for sirens to get along with anybody, much fewer mermaids, but this friendship was an exception.
“i assume it has to do with the dead body in your hands? i’m curious to know. tell me everything. i can smell love in your heart.”
minho listened intently to the tale of the seashell girl from above, appearing from the exact village that the two had once lived in.
jeongin knew he wouldn’t tell a soul, and that he would never judge the decision. after all, minho had killed countless humans.
“you know i love free meals,” his sharp grin gave him goosebumps, “anytime a boy causes you and your girl trouble, just assassinate them, yeah?”
with a gulp, jeongin nodded, offering the body to minho to feast on.
right when he was about to slither away back into the darkness of his cave to eat his dinner, jeongin pulled his wrist. “can i watch?”
“you’re a sick boy, yang jeongin.”
minho tore him to pieces in front of him without hesitation, the red blood fading into the seawater until he was devoured to the bone.
Tumblr media
“he’s gone,” you crumbled in front of him, “he’s gone, jeongin.”
all he cared about was that you were in his arms, what a delightful feeling. you wouldn’t have done this if he was still there, would you?
“i don’t think he’s coming back. it’s not like him to do this.”
“did he flee to another village with a different girl? i’m sure i saw him and another on a horse in the night,” you couldn’t see his smile as you dug your head into his neck, your tears falling down his chest even harder now.
he felt a stabbing pain in his chest, unable to breathe from staying above the water for so long. but he didn’t mind, he would suffocate for you.
his vision began to blur as his grasp on you loosened.
“jeongin!” you shoved his head back into the ocean as he took gasps of water.
“don’t kill yourself to comfort me!”
he gave you a playful grin through the discomfort before hoisting his head above.
“i’d do anything for you.” it was no lie. he could feel himself slowly losing to madness.
he gathered you back in his arms, cursing the universe for not letting the two of you be closer together without consequences.
“did you really see him?”
“i did. we can sense things a lot better than humans can.”
his fingers, the same ones that pinned your lover down to his death just nights ago, traveled up and down your arm soothingly, stopping every few moments to take in the seawater.
your hands ran across his pale blue scales, “thank you for being honest. i don’t know what i’d do without you.”
his chest swelled with pride and joy, eyes glancing up to gaze at the sun set beyond the seemingly endless ocean. “look.”
sunsets became very bittersweet for him. they were another glorious part of nature, something that he now got to admire with you. but it also meant that you would have to leave his arms afterward.
“don’t leave,” jeongin murmured, clutching you tighter.
“i don’t want to, it’s lonely back at home now.” you looked up to give him a weak smile, a golden hue on your complexion from the sun.
you pushed him away lightly, “go back under. you’re gonna start choking again.”
that didn’t matter in the slightest to jeongin. especially if it was in your arms. was it too early for him to begin flirting?
he slipped back into the bitter water.
you stood up to brush the sand off of your body.
“i’ll be waiting for your shells,” you leaned down to ruffle his hair with a sad smile, “thank you innie.”
once you were gone, he let out a squeal, his face scrunching with joy. he would find you the most exquisite shells in the world for tomorrow.
gradually, your routine went back to normal as you got over the heartbreak.
“i brought you two pieces of banana bread,” he didn’t hesitate to yank both out of your hands.
as the two of you chatted, he recognized that your smile wasn’t as radiant today. “what happened?”
“what do you mean?”
“something is wrong. did someone make you upset?”
“you know me so well, jeongin. sometimes i hate it.”
“talk to me. i can’t tell anyone, can i?”
“your mermaid friends might judge me.”
“you think i have friends when i spend all my time with you?”
“good point.”
jeongin and you had gotten into the pattern of a particular sitting position whilst you babbled to him.
he would lay across your thighs just above the water, his head floating until he needed to breathe.
once he had laid down, you took in a shaky breath, and he knew that it wouldn’t be good.
you began to talk about your life inside the village. specifically your family.
in the past year, your father's bakery had been declining in business. people didn’t care for bread and pastries much anymore and weren’t able to pay the money they needed to survive.
because of this, your parents had been overwhelmingly stressed and took it out on you most of the time.
you came to the ocean to avoid them.
jeongin’s face contorted in bitterness as you described the harsh words they spoke to you this morning just before you had left.
how could they think such things about his beloved human? how could he make them go away again?
your lover had come to him voluntarily, but he was sure that your parents wouldn’t come down to the sea.
even so, would he be strong enough to hold them down?
no, he didn’t need to think, he needed to listen to your stories.
tears dripped down onto his shoulders, rolling down into the waves.
he stretched his arm up to brush them away with his thumb.
“it’ll all be okay. i’m sure you’ll have more customers soon. they’ll all realize how amazing your bread really is.” jeongin showed your favorite fox smile.
“thank you. i hope they will.”
you assured him that it wasn’t all that terrible. they still adored you, it made sense that they were upset, that they weren’t always bad parents.
he didn’t believe any of it. anybody who made you cry was meant to disappear. but he never told you any of this.
jeongin would have to feed them all to minho.
minho. minho could help him.
he ushered you away at sunset, something way out of his character, bewildering you as to why he wasn’t pleading for you to stay as usual.
“i could help.”
“really? how?”
“do you know what i am?”
“a siren.”
“are you a fucking idiot, kid? what do sirens do?”
“kill people?”
“and?”
it took jeongin a minute, pausing in thought. what was minho trying to tell him?
with an annoyed puff, minho continued. “do you know how many sailors i could lure into my grasp in this shape? of course not, i shape-shift into an attractive girl. do you understand now?”
“you’re gonna become an attractive girl?”
“i’m gonna shapeshift into a human and kill them.”
“but i want to kill them.”
“you’ve acquired a fondness for blood, haven’t you? i’ll coax them into the sea and you can kill them.“
jeongin nodded frantically, “but we have to hurry before sunrise. i don’t want y/n seeing any of this.”
“and if she does?”
“she’ll hate me.”
“you could always just drown her.”
his eyebrows furrowed, glaring daggers into the siren, “how could you say that? i would never kill her. the only reason i’m doing this is so she doesn’t suffer anymore.”
“woah, settle down baby fox. it was just an idea.”
Tumblr media
seeing humans under minho’s spell was baffling. they become nothing less than zombies, empty shells of mortal beings.
the couple crept into the cold water, waiting for their demise in submission to the siren’s eerie hymn. their will was long gone, stripped away the instant that their ears tuned in to the music, wiping their brain of thoughts.
it was child’s play to take away their lives. jeongin didn’t have to think as he thrust the heads under, they didn’t even struggle to hold their breath. pitiful.
hauling the dead bodies way below the ocean was the only troublesome part.
none of it mattered, though. it was all for you. each time he had doubts in his mind, he reminded himself of that.
watching minho consume them with a satisfied smirk, it was all for you.
when he went to sleep at sunrise, reflecting on the drowned man who had the same eyes as you, it was all for you.
Tumblr media
“where the fuck is she, minho? it’s been two fucking weeks!”
minho offered a shrug in response, “no clue.”
each day that you hadn’t shown up, jeongin grew more concerned. the concern became anger, which became desperation.
“become a human again! go find her and bring her back to me! now!” he wailed, banging his fists onto any available object he could find in the cave.
“i wouldn’t be surprised if she’s dead or moved to another village.”
“what the fuck do you mean by that?”
“you killed her boyfriend and her family. use your goddamn thinking skills. she’s probably traumatized out of her mind, jeongin.”
“no she isn’t! she has me! i’m all that she needs! she would just come talk to me and i’d comfort her and—“
“her boyfriend supposedly fleeing the village is a lot different than her family abandoning her and nowhere to be found.”
as much as jeongin didn’t want to confess it, he knew that minho was right. he hadn’t thought about it that way.
“but if you knew that, why didn’t you tell me?”
“was hungry.”
“well then fuck you!” he stormed out of his cave, albeit rather childishly.
he needed to make it back to the surface before the morning, or else he might miss an opportunity of catching sight of you.
jeongin never slept anymore. he settled at the shore, silently waiting for you to appear, hardly minding if anybody saw him. he could just eradicate them if they got too near.
every instant that he wasn’t with you, it felt like he was suffocating. he was going crazy.
after a few weeks, he refused to visit even minho, knowing that even a small snide remark of his would make jeongin snap and attempt to kill him.
he began to shatter seashells. they made him furious. perhaps the seashells weren’t pretty enough and drove you away.
he never thought he’d feel peace again.
Tumblr media
in the distance, jeongin heard a splash into the water.
instantly he raced towards the noise, his heart in his throat as he hoped— god, he hoped that it was you.
“y/n!” he shouted out, feeling your presence, unable to dismiss the accumulating terror in his chest.
nothing felt right. the summer had left long ago, the cold breeze of december chilling the ocean. nobody would voluntarily jump in. especially from a cliff into deep water.
he swam as fast as he could towards you. jeongin knew that if you were in the water for too long in this weather, you’d lose consciousness and drown. it was too familiar.
jeongin had always loved the water. he would beg for his father to bring him down to the ocean when he was younger, and it became his primary hang-out spot once he was old enough to go on his own.
often, his best friends joined him. he had a tight-knit friend group. seven young boys in the village with too much energy. they would play games throughout summer, then stay indoors in the harsh winter months.
“minho, do you want to sneak out?”
“are you insane? it’s freezing outside! where would we even go?”
“the beach,” jeongin presented his puppy eyes to the slightly older teen boy, “and it’s almost my birthday.”
he came to minho of all people because he knew that he could never resist. and just like jeongin presumed, he didn’t.
“do you wanna play hide and seek?”
after enough convincing, he began to count.
that’s how jeongin ended up in the freezing january water.
he didn’t feel panicked at first. his eyes opened to watch the light of the surface grow farther and farther away as he slipped into the darkness.
it was relaxing, something he had always admired about the water. the sensation of an endless abyss enclosing him.
then his lungs began to fight against him, begging him to go up to the surface. he didn’t have to resist for long, feeling his body begin to give out.
“jeongin!” he didn’t expect a sobbing minho to be the last thing he saw, trying to shake him back into consciousness.
the boy had walked right into his death but didn’t expect his friend to follow him.
minho watched as his friend succumbed to the water, trying his hardest to fight the cold and get both of their dying bodies back to the shore. but he lost.
the waves had carried them deep into the sea, where they slowly transformed into their current forms.
minho’s tragic death had turned him into a monster. jeongin’s peaceful death had made him beautiful and magical.
thankfully, his body had adapted to the temperature of the winter water, so he didn’t have to worry about anything but getting you to the air.
his hands firmly gripped your sides, lifting you to the surface.
jeongin got there quick enough.
“put me down!” you thrashed, “put me fucking down!”
he had never seen you angry like this. he despised it.
trying to tune out your protests, he carried you back onto the shore.
you were pale and shivering. your pulse was fast, he wasn’t sure what to do.
“hang in there y/n! you’ll be okay!”
everything in the world was working against him. the cool breeze and water weren’t helping and he had no legs to carry you anywhere warm and safe.
he gathered your body in his arms, trying to keep you warm with his body heat, but he knew that it wouldn’t last long.
you were going to die. right here. right in front of him.
jeongin did the only thing he knew how to do, tugging you into the water with him.
if you couldn’t live as a human, you would live with him eternally, under the sea.

‘Scrawny’ - Yang Jeongin Story
Tumblr media
> chapter four - sweet talk
tw / cw : slight cursing, awkward encounter ... SLOW-BURN
story summary : jeongin never thought he'd ever find what he was looking for, but all along it was at the convenience store. / mia hated the re-runs of sappy kdramas that would play on the tv at the convenience store; that is, until her life became a sappy kdrama.
a/n : hey guys! - sorry its been so long since I last posted... I've been struggling a lot with finding inspiration, but with all the support I’ve been receiving on my hiatus, I finally decided to bite the bullet and start writing again even if I'm not 100% satisfied with the outcome. I hate to admit it, but I'm very much so a perfectionist and a "control freak", so writing fics such as this one usually takes me a while to do. regardless, I want to thank you all for your immense amount of support, and for sticking with me for this journey! hope you enjoy! ♡
ps, this story takes takes place around mid - late 2019, and will continue into 2020 - 2022
─────────────────────
> “When you laugh, I forget that it's about me, but it's alright, 'cause being your punchline still is something.” - ‘sweet talk’, saint motel
─────────────────────
Running around her dorm room like a chicken without its head, Mia hurriedly searches for her missing platform boot, already five minutes late to her shift.
“Nisa, are you sure it isn’t under your bed?” She asked her roommate for the ump-teenth time that night.
With a roll of her eyes, Nisa spun on her heels to face Mia, “Yes, I’m sure - I know I’m messy, but please cut me some slack!” She began to check inbetween her dresser and the heater that sat flat against the wall. “Why don’t you just wear a different pair of shoes?”
“Because,” The smaller of the two girls mumbled shamefully,  “fashion…” Ending her statement with a shrug of her shoulders, Mia locked eyes with her roommate who gave her a death glare.
Giving up on her help to the search for the missing boot, Nisa deadpans, “Dude… I’m sure your uncle won’t fire you for violating fashion law!”
Mia sighs and lets out a groan before kicking off her singular boot, “Fine!” Instead, she pulls on her black converse yet again.
“I don’t know why you are trying to make such a big effort, you’re just going to work!” Nisa sighed, plopping down onto her mattress.
Mia stomped her shoe onto her foot, “I’m not trying to make an effort - just trying to look presentable…”
Nisa rolled her eyes, “‘Presentable’ my ass, Mia! You’re just hoping that your weird little boyfriend stops by again.” She grinned at her roommate who was putting her second shoe on.
With a huff Mia straightens her posture and responds, “You mean Mr. Kim don’t you? Too bad he already dropped off this week’s shipment.” The young girl feigned a sad expression while discussing the old, cranky delivery driver that provides fresh fish to the convenience store weekly.
“Oh damn! That’s a hunk of a man if I’ve ever seen one, with his.. toothlessness and his alluring odor of fish… such a delite”
The two girls broke into a fit of laughter as Mia’s phone began to ring. The screen showed the familiar face of one of her cousins, Jinyoung. She quickly composed herself to answer the call.
“Hello?” She spoke, already knowing why he was calling her out of the blue. In a haste motion she gathered her backpack, jacket, nametag and dorm key.
“Miyeon, where the hell are you? Your shift started 10 minutes ago!” The older man spoke frantically.
Mia gave a quick wave to her roommate who was still lounging on her bed, before escaping the room and speed walking to work. “I’m on my way, Jinyoung, I had a bit of uhm… an emergency.”
He scoffed before responding, “Seriously? I don’t know how my father lets you keep this job, you’re never here!”
“Never there?” Mia began to feel heated at her cousin’s words as she descended the steps of her dorm building, “I’m always there Jin! Who do you think works the night shifts when you’re in dreamland? Oh yeah — me.”
“Whatever, I’m keeping the tips I made during these 10 minutes, and you’re paying me back out of your paycheck.” Jinyoung was going to end the call, but spat back one last remark, “You know, Miyeon, some of us adults actually have lives to live outside of the store. You can’t be this selfish child much longer. Get here, now.”
Mia felt her face grow red with anger as her cousin hung up on her. The cool, fall air brushed her cheeks, soothing her raging mind. ‘Who the hell does he think he is? Just because he’s older doesn’t mean that my time is any less important’, she thought to herself.
Granted, she knows that she does have a tendency to ignore reality, but who’s to say that this is the wrong way to live?
‘Jinyoung has no idea what my life is like; he’s old, and graduated and has a fancy job at a tech firm. That doesn’t mean that I don’t have a life to live outside of the convenience store too… I just don’t live his life’ Mia continued to rant to herself, attempting to calm herself down for her shift, pinning her name tag into her shirt and tying her hair back, already dreading this day of work.
─────────────────────
Jeongin knew he was a man on a mission the second his band member, Lee Know, had asked for him to go to the store and to pick up some more milk. Jeongin knew that he didn’t have to go to the small convenience store down the street and that he could easily avoid it all together by taking the longer venture to the supermarket instead. Jeongin knew that the likelihood of Mia being there was slim to none, seeing as he hadn’t run into her during his many ventures down the street since the night he made a complete and utter fool of himself by dumping dozens of candy packets onto the floor in front of her. Jeongin knew that his excitement was juvenile and that his hopes were too high for the average person, but yet, here he is, taking the short trek to the store that he grew to know over the span of a month.
Something inside of Jeongin made him feel somewhat obsessive, like he couldn’t just go to another store without feeling unfulfilled afterwards. It made him feel dumb and embarassed whenever his band members asked if he wanted to go to the convenience store with them and he stuttered out a ‘no’. The same way their babying made him feel, like he was incapable of handling things like a normal person does — debilitating him completely.
He hated the way the store made him feel, but mostly he hated how this girl — this stranger — was stuck on his mind every hour of his day. It felt like wasted time; time he will never get back from her as she probably couldn’t care less about Jeongin or his sleepless nights. She was just there to make a sale, and that was evident.
Becoming an idol alone is hard enough; harsh diets and endless schedules making up his adolescence. Of course the reward was good, and the hard work benefited his career, but two years of being told “you aren’t good enough” can do wonders to a person’s psyche, and to this date, Jeongin can still feel the effects of all his hard work.
Since day one, Jeongin found that the rules of idolship were simple:
Rule #1: Always stay smiling — your image is everything, you don’t want people to think you are unapproachable, do you?
Rule #2: Practice makes perfect — if you have time to relax, you have time to practice, and not a second should be wasted.
Rule #3: No distractions — this includes drugs, alcohol, and dating. Any of these three things could get you into a world of hurt, and clog your perception of what really matters; your work.
Jeongin felt as if he maintained his part of the Stray Kids title decently; he smiled when on camera and when in public, he had never experimented with substances even though most of his bandmates were of drinking age and had alcohol in the dorm. He even worked until his bones were sore and his lungs heaving for air. Was he really ready to risk his image on some girl? Some girl who probably didn’t even want anything to do with him?
Jeongin was a man on a mission to put his life back on track and to take a hold of this situation as he had no room for error in his idol life. Simply, his goal was to dismantle his irrational fear of embarrassment for once and for all.
The bell above the door of the convenience store rang out, announcing his entrance to everyone in the small establishment. Jeongin tried keeping his head held high, training his eyes out towards the expanse of aisle before him, but that focus faltered when his foot caught on a small hump in the rain mat on the floor, taking him down face-first onto the shiny tiles.
Gasps and exclamations were shared as the elderly man with graying hair who worked at the shop rushed towards the younger boy.
“Son, what happened? Are you okay?” He asked worriedly, helping Jeongin to his feet.
The younger boy’s hand rushed to the mask covering his face which had a small patch of blood growing on it.
“I’m okay! It was my fault”. He spoke nervously, realizing that the store was packed at this hour and that all eyes were on him.
All eyes on him. That’s something Jeongin was sure he’d be used to by now. The roar of the crowd, packed stadiums full of faces he could barely make out; faces he barely knew. Granted, as a kid, he was sociable, never backing down from making friends or speaking in class, but as they say, the oldest child does it first and best, the youngest can do no wrong, and the middle child is forgotten. So, why is it now, that all of these eyes stare Jeongin down as if he’s a forgotten kid that’s been sitting in the lost-and-found box since he was born? Why is it they see him now, when all goes wrong? Why does it always seem to go wrong?
The older man’s face showed fear, as he ushered Jeongin into the bathroom to help clean him up a little. “No no no, here let me help you, son. Gosh, I’m so sorry about this.”
Hesitantly, Jeongin removed his face mask once he was in the safety of the bathroom. Once he caught his reflection in the mirror he almost passed out from seeing the amount of blood that was flowing from his aching nose.
The man grabbed a clump of paper towels and ran them under the cold water to clean the blood up before he opened the small first aid kit that was under the counter.
“I keep on telling Ara that we need a new mat for the floor, but does she ever listen? - “ The man spoke rhetorically, rummaging around the kit for peroxide to clean around the area.
Silence fell in the bathroom as Jeongin let the man fix him up, in his mind however, he was cursing himself in every way imaginable. ‘How could I be so stupid?’ he continuously repeated to himself, allowing for the pain in his nose to count as a type of punishment for believing that he could ever confidently face his fears.
The man before him hummed before placing the bloody tissues into the trash, “Well, I’m no doctor, but I used to be a nurse during my time in the military, I saw many a broken nose, so I think I can safely say that you are one of the lucky ones.” He sighed before continuing, “While I don’t see a break, I’m still going to have to call you an ambulance.”
“No!” Jeongin spoke a little too hastily, “I mean, thank you, sir, but I should be fine..”
“Are you sure? You took quite the spill!” The man asked with his eyebrows raised, packing up the first aid kit just as it once was.
“Yes, I’m sure I’m ok..” He responded kindly.
The gray haired man nodded, respecting the request of his customer, “Well okay, but you must stay for a while to make sure you’re fine to continue on with your day… Here, follow me.”
The two emerged from the bathroom to a much less packed storefront. A younger boy with an eyebrow piercing and a pink streak in his hair now manned the cash register. Jeongin, being fearful of someone recognizing him, attempted to shrink into himself as the man led him to a stool close to the front counter.
“Sit here, I’ll grab you some ice.” The man, who’s name tag read ‘Peter’, instructed his customer in a comforting manner.
Jeongin relaxed onto the stool, avoiding eye contact with the boy with the pink hair, however he had other plans.
“You good?” he asked, leaning on the counter to get a better look at him, turning all his attention on the bloody man before him as the store was now empty aside from a few patrons in the back eating their lunches.
“Just great..” Jeongin spoke, now sounding bitter at his circumstance.
A pig-like snort caught his attention. The pink haired boy replied snarkily, “You look it.”
Before Jeongin could comprehend what the other boy had said, a door had slammed from the backroom followed by screaming.
The cashier before him barely flinched at this outbreak as he rolled his eyes and spoke under his breath, “Here we go again…”
─────────────────────
A lot could be done in 15 minutes — you could walk a mile, or make several bowls of cereal, but according to Mia’s cousin, 15 minutes can be life or death.
“Look who finally decided to show!” Jinyoung patronized Mia as she entered through the backdoor of the convenient store. “How was your leisurely walk here? Smell any sweet roses on the way? Or did you purposely take small steps just to bust my chops?”
“Listen, Jinyoung, I —” Mia started just to be interrupted.
“That’s all it is with you, isn’t it, Miyeon?” He rolled his eyes, slinging a dish towel over his shoulder. “You’re still so young, you think the world revolves around you, and only you. Well, guess what, cousin; it doesn’t. Time doesn’t stop just because you need extra sleep, and people don’t stop living their lives just because you broke a nail… Even Jiwon sees it, and he’s sixteen!”
A pink-haired Jiwon poked his head into the backroom momentarily, “Don’t bring me into this.”
Jinyoung continued, “Everyone gives you a ‘pass’ since your mom left —”
Dal, the dishwasher, interjected, “Jinyoung!”
“No, I don’t care, it’s no excuse for you to get off easy and to just act like a spoiled little brat all the damn time! The rest of us here are adults — this is either our full time job or the warm-up to our full time jobs, we aren’t all spoiled, good-for-nothing part timers such as yourself-”
“Good-for-nothing?!” Mia shouted back, “Who was the one who came up with the new frozen section delivery plan? Me. Who cleans the coffee machines when the rest of you assholes don’t want to get dirt under your nails? Me. And who covers every single shift that would belong to our other employees, if someone hadn’t pushed them so hard they quit? Oh, yeah, that’s still me.. I know you have your big boy, water jug glugging, pinstripe tie wearing job 25-hours a day, but I have school, Jinyoung! I have my future to worry about -”
Her older cousin let out a snort, “‘School’, if that’s what you wanna call it, Miyeon. Your father is paying practically his entire life savings on a glorified preschool… A ‘future’ painting stick figures, huh-” he chuckled to himself, “I think it’s time you get your head out of the clouds and wake the hell up, Miyeon.”
With the final word, Jinyoung hastily left the store through the door Mia had entered through, leaving her with a bitter taste on her tongue and hatred in her heart.
This is not the first time Mia and her cousin had ruffled eachother’s feathers, and it certainly won’t be the last. Since she could remember, her and all of her cousins were always measured against Jinyoung’s accomplishments, with him being the oldest and all. ‘Oh, Jinyoung, you’re so great! You learned how to tie your shoes faster than all the other little boys and girls in your preschool — here’s a gold star!’, ‘Oh, Jinyoung, you’re so amazing, you graduated top of your class with all ‘A’s — here, take my sports car!’, ‘Oh, Jinyoung, you’re so special, you know just how to kiss my ass as your boss — here, take my first born child, my wife, my house, and my big fancy yacht! You deserve it!’.
‘Oh, just fucking bite me’, Mia thought to herself, tying her apron on before clocking in for the day, as Dal looked on with a pitiful gaze as he too got back to work.
Mia swiftly exited the backroom and jumped on the cash register, filling Jiwon’s previous place behind the counter.
“Hi, how may I help you?” She asked in her ‘as-sweet-as-pie’ customer service voice to an elderly woman.
The woman looked startled, as the younger girl popped out of seemingly nowhere, yet, she answered kindly, “I just would like one coffee.” After Mia had rang her up and told her her total, the woman gestured to the door she had just emerged from, “Rough day?”
Collecting the money the woman laid out for her, Mia replied, “Eh, you know — family business”.
The woman nodded in response, allowing for the younger girl to concentrate on counting the change. Jiwon, still standing in the front of the store, pushed himself off of the counter and started walking towards the back door.
“You have this covered, Mia?” He asked thoughtfully. In response, he just got a nod back and a wave of her hand. “Alright then…” Jiwon turned around briefly, “Good luck with the nose”.
After she handed the woman her money back and Jiwon had fled the scene, Mia looked in the direction her cousin was just speaking, and to her surprise, there sat Jeongin attempting to fold his body in on itself in pure embarrassment.
“Hello again.” Mia spoke jovially, with a hint of laughter evident in her voice. She, like her cousin once had, leaned her elbows on the countertop, observing the boy.
“Hi” Jeongin spoke, allowing for his rosy cheeks to do the talking, wishing to be just about anywhere else at that moment.
“So...” She began, as the final customer of the last shift left the store. “What happened to your nose?”
Sighing, Jeongin remained facing forward before responding, “I uh... uhmm”, contemplating on how to explain the occurrences without sounding completely lame.
“You get into a fight? Beat his ass?” Mia mused, trying to make Jeongin smile or at least feel a little better.
“Uh- uhm.. Yeah. Just - you should see the other guy” He breathed out a laugh, as Mia nodded along barely believing his story, but not wanting to hurt his feelings.
Just then, Mia’s Uncle Peter walks up to the younger boy with an icepack in-hand, “Here you go, son. Again, so sorry about that, I keep on telling my wife that we need to get another mat, but she says it is out of financial plan for this month. Trust me you are not the first to take a spill on this thing”, he explained, kicking the rubber mat with his foot.
Jeongin on the other hand, could not possibly get any more red. “Oh, uh, that’s alright.” He held onto the ice pack tightly, making his fingers turn as white as snow.
With a comforting tap on Jeongin’s back, Peter exited through the backdoor, more than likely going to call his wife about the accident that had occurred in their shop, leaving Mia and the young boy alone in the front of the shop.
“The mat, huh?” The young girl spoke, pushing herself off of the counter and walking around to the front door. Stepping on the mat, she tried smoothing out the bumps before watching them take form again. “Yeah, this mat has definitely attempted to murder me before. It’s honestly even worse right after we just got done mopping, because then the floor is all slippery on top of the crappy mat... Glad you’re not dead though.”
“Yeah.. Me too..” Jeongin spoke, feeling a little bit better about himself.
“Let’s see it, then” Mia walked up to face the boy, looking closely at his nose. After a brief inspection she hummed, and commented, “Looks good”, before locking eyes with him and giving a warm smile.
Any and all calmness in Jeongin’s body fled as he stared into Mia’s eyes. Like a desert storm, he felt his tongue dry up as her electric eyes struck his, each blink shaking his soul like thunder with chills running up his arms like soft raindrops. Suddenly the world was frozen in their own little oasis, and he knew, that ‘Rule #3′ is going to be much harder than anticipated.
Mia, on the other hand, found Jeongin’s eyes to look like something you’d see in the Louvre; an oil painting hanging in the dim sun light, filling her body with warmth - but not too much, she hates to sweat.
Pulling away, Mia let out a small laugh to cover her own nervousness, “Did my uncle call you an ambulance, or do you just like hanging around a convenience store all evening?” She walked back around the counter to claim her own seat near the register.
“He, uh...” Jeongin cleared his throat before continuing, “He wanted to, but since it’s not broken I said it was ok. He just didn’t want me leaving just in case.”
“I see...” Mia nodded. “Well you’re lucky to have fallen when he was here, and not just my dumb ass cousin” She mumbled the last bit to herself, before trying to find something to busy herself with.
Jeongin, wishing to continue their conversation, asked “Was that the guy you were fighting with?”
Truth be told, he has never wanted to hit himself more in his entire life after seeing Mia’s reaction to his question.
“You heard that?” She turned to him again. “Oh, well that’s just great”.
“No, I-I-I mean, I just, I had a feeling -” He started, wanting to console her like she had for him, but falling flat.
“He really is an asshole, you know?” Mia grabbed a broom from behind the counter and started sweeping, “Like, who does this bastard think he is, telling me that my education doesn’t matter? Just because I’m not someone who glues my nose to a math book doesn’t mean that my future means any less. And to bring up my mom? Oh, that - that... UGH!!! I just hate him!” She threw the broom down, sitting back on her stool attempting to cool herself down before exploding in front of the boy.
Jeongin assessed the situation, watching her breathe heavily. Admittedly, he was still trying to catch up, as he got taken back by her swearing, but he knew he had to say something. And it had to be good.
“Some people just don’t understand the importance of the liberal arts... I mean, they consume these things day-in and day-out without a single thought of praise, yet when they speak to the creators, it’s suddenly shameful to even take part in something so... ‘barbaric’. It is really stupid, and even with my job people don’t always understand, and they tease and curse at us for every little thing, and some people when you tell them that you’re an artist they laugh like your just a silly kid with these crazy dreams, when you know deep down that you might just have something special. Even if it’s small and still growing with the passing days, it’s still special. I guess, we just have to learn how to not care. Because people are going to talk regardless.”
Mia listened intently before asking curiously, “What’s your job?”
“Oh-...” Jeongin froze, realizing that he had already said too much.
‘How on earth do I get myself out of this one?’ He asked himself before carefully deciding his words.
“I am... a .. musician”
“You sure about that?” She asked, laughing at his stuttered answer.
Not wanting to risk himself giving away his identity as an idol even more, Jeongin just nodded in response.
“What kind of music?”
Shit. Shit. Shit. “Uhm.. it’s like, hip-hop, rock, EDM -”
“You make EDM?” Mia asked incredulously.
Jeongin turned himself to be facing in her direction, “Not necessarily, I mean, my friends make the music, I sing.”
“You sing... to EDM?” Mia laughed, now imagining this shy boy singing to an EDM song.
“Y-Yes?” He responded, now just realizing how silly it sounds, cringing at the fact that what he told her was actually true.
Simmering down from her fit of laughter, Mia looked back at the boy across the counter, “You are an enigma, Jeongin”.

Your hands ran down the thin lace fabric of the white babydoll outfit you'd picked out for tonight and you bit down on your lip as you stared at yourself in the mirror. Tonight was your anniversary with your bodyguard - Jeongin - but not just any anniversary.
The anniversary of the time you guys first started sleeping together behind your family's back. Six months in the making and you were still able to keep the whole thing a complete mystery to everyone else around you.
The relationship between the two of you was beginning to blur though, while you'd developed deep feelings for him months ago you weren't exactly sure where Jeongin stood in all of this. Tonight was the night you told him how you felt though, even if you were terrified it was going to ruin things,
"Is this for me?" Jeongin whispered as he walked into the small log cabin, his mouth falling open as he found you in front of the fireplace waiting for him. He'd just finished his route of checking to make sure no one was around the cabin and came in to grab some food.
It hadn't taken much to convince your parents that a breakaway in some faraway cabin in the middle of some snowy mountains was a good idea.
It had, however, taken A LOT of convincing for Jeongin to agree to it. He was very protective when it came to you - considering it was his job to keep you safe.
"All for you," You giggled, doing a small twirl and letting him enjoy the full view of the piece you were wearing. It was just the two of you out here, no other guards since your parents knew you weren't in any real danger. It was mostly for paparazzi purposes that you had Jeongin around. Though there had been the odd occasion he'd saved you from sleazeball in a bar.
Jeongin's mouth fell open as he looked at you, paired with the white lace babydoll you had on were a pair of silky gloves that reached your elbows and some of the sexiest heels he'd ever seen you in...and he'd seen you in a lot of things before. However, this had to be the sluttiest thing you'd ever worn and it was all for him.
“Your parents would be royally disappointed if they saw what you have on right now. Even more disappointed at what I’m thinking of doing to you." He told you with a smirk, your heart hammering against your chest as you walked over to him, running your hands up his chest and nodding.
"Good," You whispered before kissing him deeply, Jeongin's arms wrapped around your waist as he pulled you closer to him your heart racing against your chest as he laid you down on the floor in front of the fireplace.
"I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our anniversary," Jeongin mumbled as he kissed your neck, looking up at you as you let out a small whimper of his name.
Jeonin began to kiss down your chest and your nipples grew hard beneath the lacy fabric making him chuckle softly as he pulled the fabric to the side. He'd always loved your breasts, then again, he loved everything about you.
"Innie," You breathed out as he began to rub one of your nipples between his fingers and his mouth wrapped around the other. You moaned his name out as you ran your hands through his hair,
"Jeongin, oh god." You gasped out as he continued to suck and play with your nipples before coming to a stop completely and kissing down your body.
"Open your legs for me, princess." He groaned, watching as you slowly spread your legs for him to reveal that there was no underwear under the piece you were sporting.
"The prettiest little cunt I've ever seen," He growls before leaning down and sucking on your clit. Your head rolled back as you cried out his name at the sudden pleasure he was giving to you.
"I want you." You told him, pushing his head away as you looked at him. As much as you loved when he ate you out, you wanted nothing more than to feel him inside of you.
"Please...Fuck me." You begged before he groaned, pushing the trousers he was wearing down and smirking at you. Your eyes were on his cock as he placed himself at your entrance,
"You ready, princess?" You nodded quickly before he slammed inside of you, making you squeal out in surprise.
"Innie!" Your nails dragged down his shoulders as he began to fuck you just like you'd asked him to. Ravaging your body as he thrusts in and out of you at a brutal pace.
Everything was snatched away from you, your ability to breath or even speak as he pounded in and out of you. Brutally and perfectly.
"You take me so well, Princess. Always take me so fucking well," He grunts, holding onto your hips as you look up at him, your eyes filling with adoration as you made eye contact with him. Everything about this moment was intense, your skin on his, his cock deep inside of you and the small squeals sounding from your lips.
"I-Innie." You warned him as you felt the tightening in your stomach coming but before he could respond, your mouth parted as you cried out his name. Your orgasm hits you out of nowhere and explodes suddenly, travelling all over your body in electric waves. Your whole body shook as you whimpered, the sensations so intense it stole your ability to scream or cry out anymore.
Jeongin grunted as he continued to fuck you through your high,
"You're so fucking perfect, and you're all mine." He grunts, coming with a loud groan as you panted heavily in front of one another.
Tumblr media
You lay on the floor beside one another, both cleaned up and just listening to the fire crack beside you.
"I love you Jeongin..." You told him suddenly, looking at the fire and refusing to look at him.
"I know it might cross boundaries and it might be too much for you but I do." You were rambling too much to notice Jeongin staring at you with a giant grin on his face. He slowly turned your head to look at him and kissed the top of your head.
"I love you too, Yn. And I think we crossed our boundaries months ago," He winks before you groan and hide in his chest.

A/N : This one is slightly different than the others, and deals with a triggering topic (alcoholism). It is a minor plot point and I only wrote it with my personal experience with alcoholism but I know everyone's is different. It is not violent alcoholism, it is emotional alcoholism. As in drinking to forget, drinking to feel happy. If that is triggering for you, please do not read this story. Thank you.

She peered over to the guy sleeping next to her, double checking that he was in fact asleep, before sneaking out of his bed, redressing herself as quickly and quietly as possible, and leaving his place. The entire walk back to her place she wonders why she seems to fall back into his bed every single time. A simple plea, a pout, a pet name falling from his lips, and she’s putty in his hands.
God his hands. The sinful things his hands have done to her, the sinful things she thinks of them doing to her all the time. His long, slender fingers ghosting over her body, leaving goosebumps in their path, before delving between her thighs, causing sinful sounds to fall from her lips, sounds he covers with his own mouth, kissing her quiet.
Last night he had only invited her over for a movie, that’s what they both agreed on. It wasn’t even halfway through when his hand gripped her thigh, inching higher and higher. She tried to clench her thighs, stop his hands from feeling how badly she wanted him. But there was no use. He knew. Let me make you feel good, baby girl. Growled softly in her ear, and she was a goner.
She’s not even sure when this happened. When the line was crossed. When they stopped being just best friends and became something a little more but a little less than lovers. And she wonders when she began to hope for the final line to be crossed. When they’ll get out of this limbo and she can call him hers.
He keeps promising her soon. But soon has come and gone many times over. She tries to leave the limbo, go back to being friends, but he pouts at her, whispers to her that he loves her so much, and she’s back in his arms, under his spell. You’ll be mine soon, I promise puppy. And he kisses her so sweet, smiles at her so lovingly. And she believes him.
She just wants to wake up in his arms, traces the features of his face as the sun breaks through the blinds, watch as his eyes flutter open. Wants him to kiss the tips of her fingers as she traces over his lips, grab her hand, press a kiss to her palm, pull her close, and press a final kiss to her lips. She just want him to love her the way she loves him. Wants him to love her the way he promises he does.
And if he can’t love her, she wants him to let her go.
~
            “He doesn’t love you.”
“Damn Keeho. Tell her how you really feel.” Theo chuckled, punching Keeho in the arm before turning back to Y/n. “Don’t listen to Keeho.”
            “Hey!”
“Shut up. As I was saying. We’re all young and confused and trying to figure things out. Maybe he really does love you and is just trying to figure that out.”
“Okay cool great. Can he stop pulling me along and making promises he doesn’t mean? I never wanted my feelings to complicate our friendship or become a burden on him. He can reject me and I can move on, it’s not that deep. I’m just done with the hot and cold.”
“Fuck someone else.” Keeho said nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders as he continued to eat his lunch. Theo and Y/n stared at him like he had two heads, but Keeho didn’t seem to notice.
But it got her thinking. Maybe it wasn’t the worst idea. Maybe she could distance herself, focus on herself and her needs instead of his. She didn’t have to pick up the phone every time he called, didn’t have to open the door every time he knocked. She didn’t have to give into him every time his hands started feeling her up, going under her clothes, ran over her bare skin.
But fuck did she want to.
What would he do if she didn’t sneak out during the night? What would he do if he woke up to her face? If she gave into her needs, cuddled deeper into his arms, and allowed herself to fall more in love with him, would he be there to catch her, or would he watch her hit the ground and walk away laughing?
~
She really meant to let the phone ring. She stared at his name, his contact picture staring right back at her, a mirror selfie he took on her phone, his hands practically covering her entire phone. And she thought of the things his hands can do to her. The sounds they make her make. The moans, the screams. And her legs were clenched as she reached over to answer before it could go to voicemail. “I miss my baby.” It’s like she could hear his pout. Her heart melted, and she gave in quicker than she’d like to admit. Knocking at his door in five minutes, kissing him the second he opened it.
Keeho told her to fuck someone else, but Jeongin was the only one she wanted. He was the only one who knew what she liked. She would let him break her heart a million times if she could have him like this. Hovering over her, looking at her like she was a goddess, kissing every inch of her skin. “Beautiful.” He whispered.
Something felt different this time. It was slower, like they had all the time in the world. He took his time, looked in her eyes with every compliment, letting her know he meant every word. He worshipped her. He loved her.
“I’m letting you go.” He told her as they laid beside each other as they came down from their highs. “Find someone that can love you the way you deserve.” He had just spent the last hour staring at her, but now he refuses to look at her. “I hope one day you’ll forgive me and we can be friends again.”
She swallowed her sobs down. Blinked back her tears. “You’ll always be my best friend, Innie.” And one last time she got dressed and left his place. Cried all the way home. Sobbed until her throat ached. Drowned in her own tears. But she would do it all over again just to have him look at her like he did one last time.
He had worshipped her. Loved her. Just to say goodbye.
~
Their friendship went from meeting on the playground, to birthday parties, to graduation, to university, to frat parties, to sex, to awkward waves when they pass each other. It’s like they were going backwards. Like they were re-meeting each other. Like they were strangers that knew a little too much about each other.
All their favourite movies, foods, memories. Things they like to do on rainy days. He could write a novel about her and she could write one about him. But they were acting as if they barely knew each other.
Jeongin didn’t want to let her go. But he knew it was time. He loved her. God did he ever love her. He loved her so much he couldn’t control himself around her. Always wants to kiss her, feel her, touch her, love her. But he couldn’t be with her.
Jeongin was on the verge of failing out of the university. And he knows she would never judge him for that. She would support him no matter what, help him get into a new university, help him get a job, whatever it took. She was good for that, she always was. But he had a dream. A dream for the two of them. And that dream needed a degree.
He thought if he had her close enough but not all of her, he wouldn’t be distracted, but he still couldn’t get enough. Needed to have her all the time. She was all he could think about. During all his exams, it was only her. All the lectures, her. His notes were filled with doodles of her. His entire life revolved around her. Everything was about her.
And he wanted to ask her to wait. Beg her, plead for her to just wait for graduation and he would give her everything she could want. A house. A ring. All the love she gave him all these years and more. But it was embarrassing. He didn’t want her to know. Didn’t want her to pity him. Didn’t want her to offer to help him because he didn’t want to have to admit she was the reason he couldn’t focus.
Was it love or obsession? Does it really matter anymore? She’s not his. He’ll always have the memories. Her body beneath him. Her lips around him. Her moaning his name. He just wishes he marked her up their final night. So he could see her walk around with the marks he gave her, looking so pretty with the purple showing through the concealer she’d use to try and cover them. God he loves her so much.
~
The first week was the hardest. Waiting for a text or a call, begging, pleading, for her to come over. She tossed and turned, scared of missing the sound of her ringtone signaling him calling. Her grades slipped during the first week, everything slipped. It was like she was losing control and she didn’t know how to get a hold of anything.
The only calm she felt was when Jeongin would smile and wave at her when he’d see her. It let her know that he still knew her, still remembered her. She wasn’t just some stranger to him. A stranger he whispered I love you to before falling asleep. A stranger he tossed aside after breaking every single promise he made in the same bed.
By the second week, she was able to put on a front that she was okay. Smiling when Keeho and Theo argued with each other. Stopping them when it got too far. Writing notes down in her classes as if she was actually retaining any of the information. Conversing with some classmates about projects that were due, projects she had completely forgotten about. No one knew she was breaking inside.
She still tossed and turned at night, waiting for a sign that he was still just a little bit hers. I’m letting you go. Find someone that can love you the way you deserve. His words echo in her head. Over and over like a sick taunt. And she cries herself to sleep for the twelfth night in a row.
By the third week she was practically a shell of a person. Barely able to continue on without Jeongin by her side. Keeho and Theo have tried to drag her out during the weekends, but she stays curled up on her couch, rewatching sad movies so she had another reason to cry besides mourning a relationship that never happened.
She wishes she would have listened to Keeho. Wishes she cut Jeongin off sooner. Stopped falling into his bed, stopped breaking her own heart just to keep his whole. But that’s what you do when you’re in love with someone, right?
Who cares how broken you are when the person you love is whole?
“This wallowing in self pity shit needs to stop. Go take a shower and put on something sexy. You’re coming out with us tonight. No ifs, ands, or buts.” Keeho stole the remote from her hand, shutting the movie off before she could even protest or ask how he got into her apartment. He ripped the blanket off her lap, pulled her off the couch, and pushed her towards the bathroom.
As she took her time in the shower, hoping her two friends would get tired of waiting and leave without her, Theo and Keeho decided to tidy up her apartment. Folding the blanket and putting it back where it belonged. Washing the dishes and putting them away. Keeho even went the extra mile and went around her small apartment, grabbing the things he knows Jeongin gave her, and hid them away where she couldn’t see them. Out of sight, out of mind.
~
As much as she didn’t want to leave the comfort of her apartment, she did have to admit that the alcohol in her system did feel nice. The heartbreak started to lessen. Almost as if it didn’t exist in the first place. The more she drank, the better she felt, and she wondered why she didn’t think of it sooner. Alcohol was the key to fixing her broken heart.
“What’s a pretty girl like you doing here all alone?” The guy standing in front of her was tall and devilishly handsome. The kind of guy that draws you in before you knew what was happening. Dark hair, dark eyes, a sinister smile. He was bad news, but that’s what was so attractive about him.
“She’s not alone.” Her heart stopped at the familiar voice. Tears immediately welled up in her eyes. And when the stranger walked away, she pushed him away, not even bothering to spare him a glance. She hoped he’d follow her. Grab her wrist, fight for her to stay. Tell her he fucked up, that he was in love with her. But he let her walk away. Not even a call of her name.
She walked right into Keeho’s open arms, begging him to take her home. She just wanted to curl into her bed and disappear. Keeho looked forward, seeing Jeongin watching her from where he was standing, a sad look in his eyes. He knew Y/n wasn’t the only one hurting, but she was the only one he cared about. Jeongin made his choice, he has to live with it.
~
It was the fourth week that things seemed to turn around. She was smiling again. Laughing at the jokes her friends made. Turned in all the projects she forgot about. It was like she was back to the Y/n everyone knew and loved. But there was one difference.
            She reeked of alcohol.
Every single time she finds herself thinking of Jeongin and her heart starts hurting, she takes a drink. It helps numb the pain, helps her feel happy again. That’s what everyone wanted. It’s what everyone kept begging for. They wanted happy Y/n back. Wanted to see her smile and laugh again. She was just giving them what they asked for.
No one said anything. It was a phase, they all said. It would pass. Just like heartbreak passes, this too will pass.
~
But it didn’t. It got worse. Graduation was just around the corner, and she was still drinking everyday. She was still crying herself to sleep, staring at her phone, waiting for him to call her. Why won’t he just call her once? Can’t he see that she’s a mess without him?
Find someone that can love you the way you deserve. She doesn’t want someone else. She had years to find someone else. But it always came back to Jeongin. Came back to his empty promises that he broke. But she didn’t care. Because it was Jeongin.
Yang Jeongin who was there when she first got her period and she leaked through her pants. He gave her his sweater to wrap around her waist and called his mom for help immediately, holding her in his arms, soothing her sobs.
Yang Jeongin who was there when she got a failing grade and helped her study for the next test. He didn’t scold her, tease her, or even shove his passing grade in her face. He spent extra time studying with her after sitting with her, holding her hand, as her parents yelled at her.
Yang Jeongin who beat up all her bullies when they were kids, despite it getting him in trouble every single time. He told her he would do it again and again if it meant she would smile again, because her smile was the most precious thing in the world.
Yang Jeongin who refused to let her starve herself throughout their entire friendship, telling her those diet fads were ridiculous. She looks perfect the way she was, no matter her weight. He would always find her more beautiful than any model.
Yang Jeongin who introduced her to his new friends with the biggest smile on his face, an arm wrapped around her, telling them she was the most important person in his life. She was his other half, she completed him.
Why would she want anyone else when Jeongin already loves her more than she deserves? She doesn’t care that things got lost in translation, some boundaries were crossed before they were ready. She would wait for him. Right here, in the darkness, their memories surrounding her. She would wait no matter how long it took.
~
There was a blinding light in her face the next time she opened her eyes, mumbled voices just out of earshot so she couldn’t hear what they were saying. But her eyes were fixated on one thing, one person sat right next to her, hand in hers, head on the bed, eyes closed, breathing slow as he slept. She could see the remnants of the tears he cried, the puffiness around his eyes, the pout still on his face. But all she could think about was how he came back for her.
It didn’t click until the doctor walked in that she was in the hospital, brought here by ambulance after she hadn’t answered any of Keeho’s calls. “Your friend put up quite the fight.” The doctor chuckled. “Good thing too. If not for him, you would have died.”
Death is such a weird concept. It used to scare her when she was younger. She was so careful about everything. Never living life on the edge, taking every precaution necessary. But hearing that she was minutes away from death made her feel nothing. No fear, no sadness. The only thing she could feel was Jeongin’s grip tightening around her hand at the mention of her dying. He didn’t meet her eyes, kept his gaze locked on their hands, clearly trying not to cry again.
“Once this bag of fluids is empty, you’ll be free to go home.” The doctor gave her one last smile before leaving the room, leaving her alone with Jeongin. It was silent. It was so unlike them. She was used to one of them filling up the silence with a random story, or him kissing her because he missed her so much. But so many things have changed since they’ve last been alone. They aren’t the same people they were all those months ago.
“What happened?” He asked, his voice barely above a whisper. Secretly, he knew the answer. He received quite the earful from both Keeho and Theo when he insisted to be the one to sit with her until she woke up. How he ruined their friend, turned her into a shell of a person who could barely function without alcohol.
“I just wanted to be happy again.”
“You scared the shit out of me, you know.” Of course she didn’t know. How could she know how he was feeling when he avoided her as best he could. Heard all the rumors of the girl crumbling in front of everyone’s eyes. He wanted to run to her, hold her in his arms, run his fingers through her hair. But he thought she was just dealing with things her own way. Focusing on herself the way he was focusing on himself. Working on moving on the way he told her to.
But she still held the exact same amount of love in her eyes as the last day he held her. Still looked at him like he was the only thing she’ll ever want. “I missed you.” She whispered. Jeongin reached up, wiping away the tear that began to slip down her cheek.
Her skin was dry, and a little cold to the touch. His hand was warm against her cheek, and he continued to rub his thumb across her cheek, looking at her with a softness she’s never seen before. “I missed you more than you know, darling.” The pet name rolled off his tongue, and when it hit her ears, she smiled. Maybe he was still hers in the way she was still his.
~
“We’ll talk after graduation, I promise. Just focus on yourself right now. Stay sober for me though, please.” Jeongin helped her into her own bed, Theo and Keeho both watching with trained eyes from the doorway.
“You can’t stay for just tonight?” She wrapped her hand around his wrist, and he looked up at the two watching them as if they were her parents. Their arms were crossed across their chests, eyebrows raised as they waited for his answer. “I won’t bother you again until after graduation. Just one night.”
And just like always, he gave into her. He always would. Even if she asked for the world, he would find a way to get it for her. The love he has for her overwhelms him, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. Because it’s her. And if it’s her, he’ll do anything.
~
They went back to only seeing each other in passing, nothing more than a smile and a wave. But it was different this time. Because now he would text her, check in on her. He should have done it this way from the start, but he didn’t think of it then. He thought letting her go completely was the only way.
But now he can watch as she checks her phone, giggle at whatever he sent her, and look towards him with the same beautiful smile as always. The light has returned to her eyes. She was still healing, still struggling from her bout with alcoholism, but Jeongin could see that she was doing better.
No matter what, whether she was diving off the deep end, hitting rock bottom, or flying sky high on cloud 9, she would always be his Y/n. He knows that for sure, looking at her as she walks off to her next class. He could tell it was a harder day for her, but she was still the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen. He still only had eyes for her, even if there were millions of eyes on him.
~
Graduation grew nearer, and the only thing that kept her going was knowing that she would have her Innie back. She wasn’t sure in what capacity, whether she could kiss him and love him with her whole heart, or if they would be just friends. But she didn’t care as long as he was in her life.
Theo and Keeho have taken turns staying with her just to make sure she doesn’t turn to drinking again. And she’s grateful, because the longer she goes without drinking, the more the thought of drinking herself into oblivion again scares her.
She thinks back to waking up in the hospital room, the look on Jeongin’s face as he slept beside her. The way Theo and Keeho threw their arms around her in the waiting room once she had emerged from her room to go home. The tear filled conversations they’ve had since, talking about the what ifs and the what could have beens. And she doesn’t want to be her anymore.
It’s hard at first, especially during the lonely nights when her guest is already sleeping and she’s left staring at the ceiling wondering what Jeongin is doing. Is he alone? She stares at his open contact, debating texting him, but part of her doesn’t want to know the answer. What if he’s not alone? She would rather pretend that he’s thinking of her like she’s thinking of him and save herself the possible heartbreak.
But if she were ever brave enough to send the message, she would know that he was up looking through pictures of the two of them on his phone, reminiscing about the past. Writing down date ideas in his notes, places to take her when he has the chance.
She would know there’s no need to worry what he’s doing because everything leads back to her anyway. And as soon as graduation is over, he’s running to her, pulling her into his arms, and telling her just how much he loves her, how everything is for her, and then kissing her with everything he is. So she’ll never doubt his love for her again.
~
“She doesn’t actually think he’ll show up, does she?” A group of girls giggles as they walk out of the café. It was graduation day. She worked her ass off the last month to bring her grades back up so she could still graduate, and then as soon as she had her degree, she left for the café Jeongin agreed to meet her at.
He had approached her with a bouquet of flowers at graduation with a smile on his face, girls surrounding him hoping the flowers were for them, but his eyes were trained on Y/n. And he told her he’d meet her at their café after graduation was over. He promised, and though he was known to break his promises in the past, she decided to trust him one last time.
So she waited. Every time the bell dinged, she looked at who walked in, hoping it would be Jeongin, that he wouldn’t break yet another promise. But as the minutes passed, her heart was slowly breaking again. She was spiraling, hands shaking, eyes watering. Why does she let him break her heart over and over again?
One hour. It’s been one hour she’s sat here, scrolling through her phone, looking at the door, listening to the giggling girls make fun of her. She’s not sure why she’s still waiting, holding out hope that he would still show, but she didn’t move. Almost like she was glued to her seat, like something was holding her down, stopping her from leaving.
The time kept ticking, her drink was left untouched on the table, the messages she had with Jeongin were open on her phone. She was waiting for a text, a call, anything. He wasn’t going to show, she knew that, but he could at least text her, tell her why she wasn’t good enough for him. Tell her why he kept giving her false hope.
The flowers were taunting her on the table, and she almost looked up the meaning of each and every flower in the bouquet. But before she could, the door was slamming open, a man running in, rushing to her table completely out of breath. “You waited.”
It took a second for her to register that Jeongin was standing in front of her, still panting, smiling at her. But when she realized that he came, she smiled. “I’d wait forever for you.”
He reached for her hand, taking it in his, sliding a ring onto her finger, and then showing her the matching one on his finger. “I had to go pick these up, that’s why I took so long.” He laced their fingers together. “But I’ll never make you wait for me again.”

Blood rushing, veins pumping, wetness leaking onto your laced panties, onto his slender fingers. The brick was uncomfortable against your back if you had to name it, though neither now nor in memory would it bother you - too emersed, too excited, too alerted.
You'd been hiding with Jeongin for the past hour now, safe and sound behind an alley, though anywhere was barely safe and sound, not with him. Not with Jeongin on your side, not on your own, at this point. They knew you, had targeted you, were determined to kill you, if necessary.
"Fuck, Jeongin- more."
Voice a whisper despite wanting to scream out, to make sound, to get pent up frustration, fear out of your chest. And yet you were determined to stay quiet, for no one could know your whereabouts.
Jeongin's fingers fastened at your words, curled within you, thumb tracing clit in quick flicks and caresses, teeth now grazing into sensitive skin, neck bitten and daring to draw blood. He was all around you, in every of your senses, within every of your fibre - for a moment you forgot the danger, the people that followed you, the people that wanted Jeongin's head on their plates; only for a moment with the way he made you feel, the way he always made you feel. Especially in moments like these - you grew to suspect he got a kick out of it.
Jeongin's hand lost your touch and you whined in protest, earning a dirty chuckle from him in response - though your eyes widened, your mouth watered, your face burned up when you saw his fingers unbuckling his belt, hasty, quick, not losing a minute on profanities. And then you remembered again, the danger, the situation, the place - an alley quiet enough to be overlooked yet not fully discret, windows upon windows above you, red brick consuming your whole, and you against it like dark moths against burning light. His lips on your neck again, skirt scrunched up in palms, meeting by your searing hips, tip prodding at you, at your entrance, and you breathed out. Wanting him, body earning for him, as forbidden as it was.
"Wait- what if they see us. We're outside, we have to be careful."
Voice panting and you didn't quite grant belief to your own words, didn't spare them enough importance yourself, so given, unsurprised by Jeongin's reaction - lips contorted in a smile you'd be scared of if you didn't know him as well as you did, pearly teeth against red, eyes lacing in utter craziness, in sheer insanity - maybe you were frigthened, after all.
"Well, then I guess I'll have to kill them if they end up seeing you like this."

embarrassing (y.j/i.n)
Tumblr media
hello! i realized i posted this on my main blog lol. hope you enjoy! <3
A and B get caught making out.
Jeongin rests his head on your lap, his eyes shut as he attempts to take a nap. Your fingers comb through his hair, your attention focusing on the movie playing.
The rest of the members went out shopping, you and Jeongin opting to stay home. Both of you didn't get much rest last night and didn't feel up to going out.
You shift your gaze towards your boyfriend, a smile gracing your lips at how cute he looks. You stroke the side of his face gently, causing him to let out a tired groan.
"Sorry, sorry," you giggle, removing your hand from his face. "You're just so cute, Innie."
"I'm glad you think so, but I'm tired," he laughs into your stomach, his arms wrapping around your waist.
Your smile widens as you rest one of your hands against the middle of his back. "Well, maybe someone shouldn't have stayed up so late," you tease.
Jeongin moves his hand to tickle your side, and you let out a shriek. "I'm not the only one to blame," he laughs as you attempt to push him off of you.
"Okay, okay! I'm sorry! Stop!" You gasp out, grabbing a hold of his hand.
The blonde moves to sit up, a smile on his lips. "Fine, I'll spare you. Can I take a nap now?" He asks, pouting at you.
"Can I have a kiss first?" You counter, grinning.
His eyes glance down at his lips, and you notice the light blush dusting his cheeks. You love how shy Jeongin can get when it comes to your affection.
You shift closer to him before he leans forward to kiss you. Your eyes flutter shut as you kiss him back, bringing your hand back to his cheek.
"I love you," you whisper as soon as you pull away from him. Jeongin trails his lips up your jaw and a soft moan leaves you.
"I love you too, honey," he mumbles against your skin.
Your heart pounds against your chest as Jeongin pulls back, his eyes meeting yours. He smiles at you before reconnecting your lips together.
His hands grab onto your waist, pulling you onto his lap. You drag your fingers through his hair as the kiss between you deepens.
"This isn't like you," you giggle into the kiss, tugging on his blonde hair a smidge.
"Only you bring this side out," Jeongin sighs, resting his forehead against yours. "Just you."
You groan in admiration, your cheeks starting to hurt from smiling so much. "How did I get so lucky?" You ask him.
"I could ask you the same thing, Y/N."
You nudge your nose along his, a deep breath coming from your parted lips. Your hands rest on his cheeks, stroking them gently before kissing him again.
Jeongin's arms slip around your waist, holding you close to him. The door to the dorm opens up just as he slips his tongue past your lips.
"My eyes!" Han's voice echoes off the walls, causing the two of you to pull apart.
You look towards the sound to see all seven members standing in the doorway, shocked looks on their faces.
"What is going on here!?" Chan asks, not believing his eyes.
Your boyfriend hides his face in your neck, and you notice the tips of his ears turning red. A chuckle leaves your lips as you decide to answer for him.
"We're… having an intimate moment," you point out, feeling your cheeks blush. "We'll just, uh, continue in his room."
Jeongin suddenly lifts you, his arms hooking around your thighs before carrying you to his room.
"Use protection!"
"Baby bread is growing!"
You and Jeongin let out a cackle just as you make it to his room. He kicks the door shut behind him, releasing a sigh.
"That's embarrassing," he mumbles with a shy smile.
"It was bound to happen," you shrug your shoulders, a teasing grin on your lips.

Pay Me Back: Part One
Tumblr media
Plot: After losing your phone somewhere in the city, you call it, hoping the boy who answers is as kind as he sounds.
-Part Two-
Pairing: Yang Jeongin x Gn!Reader
-Meet-Cute Masterlist-
Words: ~1.9k
A/n: I wish it came out a bit longer, but oh well
Tumblr media
As you got to your friends door, you knocked before swaying on your feet. Hearing their footsteps stride to the door, you smiled as your friend appeared, but it quickly faded when they looked at you with a mix of relief and frustration.
"What?" You asked with mild panic.
"I've been texting you for like an hour, I thought you got hit by a car or something!"
"Huh?" You reached into your pocket for your phone to check it, but no longer felt it.
Quickly checking your other pocket, and then your bag you looked at your friend with panicked eyes.
"Oh no." They sighed, as worry filled their own face.
After your friend calmed you down a bit as you paced around their apartment, cursing yourself for not realizing you had dropped it somewhere, you sat down and let out a breath.
"Okay, how long ago did you start texting me exactly?"
Checking their phone, they looked over at you "Forty three minutes ago."
Thinking back on what you were doing you clapped "I was in the mall!"
"Okay let's go."
You looked at your friend with surprise as they grabbed their jacket "Really?"
"Yeah come on!"
You thanked your friend again as you walked towards the security office at the mall.
"Hey, you helped me cram for my mid-terms for three hours that one night, I owe you." They laughed.
As you arrived, you checked with the security, but they had no reports of a phone given to them. Feeling somewhat disappointed, you walked around the mall to each store you recalled going to, but found nothing.
"We could try calling it?" Your friend suggested.
"To see if someone found it?"
They nodded before dialing the number. Listening intently, but hearing no answer, you groaned.
You continue to walk around for a while, but saw no sign of your phone anywhere.
As you sat defeated by the fountain, you sighed "Try calling it again!"
Your friend sighed "We tried like five times."
"Please?!" You begged with a pout.
"Okay, okay"
As they dialed the number, you listened, but held little hope. But suddenly you heard silence before a voice spoke.
"Ah! Hello?"
You gasped as you grabbed your friends phone, making them jump in surprise.
"Hi, hello!" You said excitedly into the phone "You found my phone!"
I.N was slightly startled by the energy behind the voice, but he couldn't help but chuckle, it was cute.
"Yes, I did, just a few minutes ago."
"Are you in the mall?"
"Mall? No, I'm by a market."
"A market? Oh." You looked over at your friend "I didn't realize I had lost it that long ago." After a moment you closed your eyes tightly "I know this might be inconvenient, but do you think you could meet with me so I could get it back?" You asked nervously, hoping they weren't a jerk.
"Of course, I don't mind! Where do you want to meet?"
Your heart leapt in your chest as you grinned, thank God they're nice, not to mention his voice sounded quite attractive. You shook your head lightly, trying to ignore the thought.
"Do you know the cute two story cafe near that market?"
"Yes, I go there a lot! I'm not that far from there."
"Do you think you could wait there for me?"
"No problem."
"Amazing, thank you so much. I will be there as quick as I can!"
Tumblr media
As your friend waited in their car outside, you walked into the cafe. You felt nervous for some reason, uncertain of how this would go.
Your friend made jokes abut the guy being a creep, or asking for money, and it only made you more nervous. You reminded yourself however, of how nice they were over the phone.
'It'll be fine.' you thought to yourself.
The man, who told you his name was Jeongin, said he was wearing a knit brown top, and had dyed blue hair. Your eyes cast over the people sitting around. You started to get worried, before you finally spotted him towards the back of the cafe.
'Oh no, he's cute' You felt yourself suddenly grow even more nervous before realization washed over you.
As he looked around, but missed you, you got a full look at his face and realized you had seen him before, here at the cafe. He said he came here a lot, and now you knew that to be true. You had never spoken to him, and you don't know if he ever noticed you, but every time you saw him, occasionally with his friends, you couldn't help but note how attractive he was.
Walking over, you swallowed, fighting back your anxiety.
As you stopped in front of him, you cleared your throat lightly "Jeongin?"
I.N looked up at the sound of his name. As his eyes landed on you he felt his heart skip and his breath hitch. He knew you. Well, he didn't know you, but he had seen you here a dozen times before, and always thought you were cute.
Seungmin and Hyunjin had come with him once and they caught him staring at you, they teased him relentlessly for it. He couldn't imagine how they would be now.
He nodded "Y/n?" he asked in response and you smiled, nodding.
He felt relief wash over him, yet a shyness as well as he sat up a bit. The name suited you.
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out your phone, and he saw relief wash over your face. He smiled at it, thinking how cute you looked before he told himself to shut up.
"Thank you so much"!" You said happily as you took your phone.
"You're welcome" He chuckled softly "I lost my phone a few weeks ago, I know how terrible it feels."
"Oh, did you find it?" You asked with sudden curiosity.
He laughed and nodded "Yes, luckily."
"Oh good." You smiled before suddenly feeling shy. Looking at the drink in his hands your eyes lit up "Let me pay for you're drink for you, as a thank you!"
I.N lifted his hands up "No, no it's okay. I already paid for it anyways. I don't need anything."
"Are you sure? I feel bad for making you come here to give it to me."
He smiled brightly at you and you felt butterflies. "It's okay really, I promise. Not every kindness needs to be repaid."
You hummed and bit your lip lightly and I.N felt as though he might fall out of his chair.
You hesitated a bit as you spoke, wanting to linger, but not wanting to became a nuisance. "If you're sure, then I suppose I should go."
Your eyes met for a moment and you felt your breath hitch, as I.N felt butterflies in his stomach. You gave him one more shy smile before you moved to leave.
Suddenly Jeongin felt a panic wash over him "Wait."
He spoke suddenly and it came out much louder than he intended, he was afraid he freaked you out. But you stopped and looked back at him with a soft yet curious gaze.
He almost forgot to speak as he felt surprised at himself, luckily finding some courage he spoke again "Are you sure you have to leave?"
You felt a bit stunned, as your ears started to burn "What?" You asked softly, curiosity filling your voice.
"Can I buy you a coffee?" He said suddenly.
You turned back towards him as an amused smile crossed your face "Didn't I just offer the same thing?"
I.N felt his neck burn hot as he laughed, looking down in embarrassment. You found it endearing, and you couldn't help but giggle softly.
He cleared his throat a bit as he looked up at you "I know how you can pay me back."
You rose your brow, waiting, uncertain.
"Let me buy you a coffee."
Your heart was beating so hard, you were afraid he could hear it. But as he stared earnestly up at you, though with an obvious nervousness in his eyes, you nodded, somewhat stiffly.
"Alright."
He seemed a bit stunned that you agreed as he spoke "Really?"
You nodded and smiled "Yeah. Oh- but my friend is waiting out in their car for me. I should go tell them I'm gonna stay, okay?"
He nodded silently before you quickly turned and headed out of the cafe. He watched you go, his chest tightened as he looked back at his coffee. He felt his smile fall as he sighed, his chest clenched painfully. He had a feeling you weren't coming back.
What would happen if you did run? Would he see you in the cafe again some day? Would you recognize him and get embarrassed? Would you feel guilty?
Running up to your friends window, you tapped on it with a smile.
As they rolled down the window they eyed you "Did you get it?"
You nodded and showed them "I'm gonna stay okay?"
"Stay?"
"Yeah, he wants to buy me a coffee." You said with a shy smile and your friend gawked at you before they smirked.
"So he's cute?"
"Shh!" You laughed "But yes. It's actually that guy I told you about before! That comes into the cafe a lot."
"The blonde?"
"He was blonde, but his hair is blue now, it's cool."
They shook their head but laughed "Quite a coincidence that he's the one who found your phone. Maybe it's fate?" they wiggled their eyebrows as they smiled
You rolled your eyes, but the idea made your heart flutter.
"Are you sure you're okay though?"
You nodded and grinned "Yeah he seems really nice. I'll text you if anything happens."
"Good and bad?"
You chuckled "Yeah, sure."
I.N let his mind get so distracted, that when you suddenly sat back down across from him, he nearly jumped in surprise.
You smiled softly at him as you got comfortable. You saw the surprise on his face and tilted your head "What?"
He sat up straight "No, nothing, I just got distracted" He chuckled, a bit embarrassed that he thought so badly of you so quickly.
You smiled sweetly at him and felt shy all over again.
"I've actually, uhm, seen you in here a few times before." he said quietly.
Your eyes got wider as you nodded "I've seen you too!"
"You have?" He asked quickly his voice a bit more startled than he meant.
But you just chuckled softly "Yeah, I didn't think you had noticed me."
"How could I not?" His eyes suddenly went wide as he spoke before he thought again.
You stared at him a bit bewildered, but your face flushed slightly as you smiled shyly.
Practically running from his embarrassment, he stood up with an awkward chuckle "Let me get you a coffee, what would you like?" He spoke rushed, obviously still embarrassed by his own comment.
You smiled with soft amusement as you told him your order, watching as he went up to the counter.
You watched him as he ordered, and when he glanced back at you, seeing you watching him, he looked away bashfully, obviously hiding a shy smile. You noticed the back of his neck grow a bit more red.
You giggled softly to yourself as you looked down at your hands. Maybe losing your phone was worth the panic after all. Thinking back to what your friend said, you smiled. And maybe it was fate too.
xx
