Yandere Madrigal family x reader

Your eyes slowly started open, then you saw the whole Madrigal family, before you. "Wait w-what's-" "no need to worry Amor" Julieta cut you off. "B-but-" then you had once again been cut off but, by Isabela this time. "No but's darling you're are ours now" you then asked " what if someone comes to finds me?" "we'll deal with that when that happens mi Vida" Camilo replied. You started to struggle a bit until you realized the restraints were too tight. "It's no use doll, you can't leave us" Dolores stated possessively. You gulped in fear, scared of what they were going to do.

Once they left the room you decided to escape, reaching to your back pocket, pulling out your pocket knife. And then, just barley being able to cut through the ropes. Once you hacked your way through the ropes, you opened the window attempting to climb out but saw the height.

You swallowed all your fear and then jumped, pain shot through your legs. But, you ignored it. You heard the distance calls of the Madrigal family follow, it only made you run faster. But you, tripped and then sprained your ankle. You tried to drag yourself away but, had gotten picked up by strong arms, being Luisa's.

"Look at you, you hurt yourself. You need to be more careful!" Luisa scolded you, she then quickly brang you back to the family. Everyone then quickly hugged you, Julieta then gave you some of her food. Making your ankle heal, Luisa then put you down. Suddenly you felt tired and a bit drowsy, you then fell to the ground, your world fading to black. The Madrigal family only smiling. You were theirs now, forever

I just came up with this slightly angsty but sweet idea about the platonic yandere madrigal family obsessing over a reader that's the child of Bruno.

-Pepa, Julieta and Alma would all be the most protective over them, especially if they looked identical to Bruno.

-Dolores and Mirabel would without a doubt be the best friends of them, Mirabel would know what it's like to feel like an outcast since the people most likely aren't treating the reader very well due to their relation to Bruno. I imagine Dolores would definitely be a great best friend too, she hears everything people say or murmur about them so I imagine she'd be painfully aware of how the people treat reader. Since she's also a platonic yandere in this like the rest of the family I can totally see her blackmailing people with stuff she's heard about them whenever they talk crap about reader.

-Dolores would definitely also be the one to comfort Reader as she can hear their crying from how they're treated every night.

-Bruno would definitely watch over his child in secret, he'd never want to miss even a second of their life

-Julieta would definitely fuss over their injuries, even if it's something like a paper cut. So would Alma and Pepa.

-Isabela would without a doubt nonchalantly roast the crap out of anybody that dares to to think it's a good idea to talk crap about you to her. She'd do it with a tone in her voice that says "I'm better than you and you should know that" all the while subtly roasting them in the process. They'd never recover from it lmao

-Camilo would definitely do his best to make them laugh whenever they're feeling down, he'd shapeshift into various people and do funny impressions of them

-Antonio would be absolutely adorable, he'd totally get his animals to comfort Reader whenever they're feeling down, too.

-I can see Luisa just randomly picking up reader whenever there's a puddle so they won't have to step in the puddle lol.

Yandere Isabela Madrigal Headcanons (romantic)

Isabela is used to being the center of attention so it would really bruise her ego if her obsession didn’t bother giving her the time of day. She doesn’t take well to not getting what she wants or what she thinks she rightfully deserves and that includes having your eyes on her and only her. If your eyes do stray then she’ll take care to direct them back on to her, where they belong.

Jealousy is a key factor with Isabela, it rules a lot of her choices when concerning her obsession. She does not take well to feeling like second place, especially not when it comes to you. She wants to be perfect for you. She wants to be your ideal everything. Isabela wants to be all you have, all you could ever want or need.

When the talk about Mariano proposing comes about, Isabela hates the idea of it. She doesn’t want to marry him. She doesn’t want Mariano. She wants you! But Isabela doesn’t want to disappoint the family. But then again she deserves to be happy too, right? She’d consider running away. Just the thought of it has her feeling anxious but also excited. Wouldn’t that be something? The perfect Madrigal daughter running away? And for true love no less?! She kinda likes the sound of that.

Isabela would try to gain her darling’s attention by any means. Whether it be from using her gift to create all types of the most beautiful flowers or the rarest plants, to showing off her other talents or by just having her family to push you closer towards her; Isabela would do whatever to get you to see her. Once she does have your gaze she doesn’t plan on ever losing it.

Possessive is an understatement. Isabela wants you all to herself, with the occasion of showing you off time to time. She needs everyone else to know that you already belong to someone after all. But otherwise she wants you all to herself, where only she can look at you, talk to you, touch you, love you.

Isabela wouldn’t be able to tolerate anyone being too close with her obsession; physically or emotionally. She can’t handle the idea of someone else taking her rightful place by your side. The thought alone makes her blood boil. Her jealousy is definitely something that fuels her obsession for the worst. Her darling would slowly but surely lose all the important people in their life if, that’s what Isabela wanted. And it is. Whether she has to use her gift to create a wall around her darling’s home or around other people’s homes just to keep them away then so be it. But she wouldn’t be against using her family to help her isolate her darling all the more.

There’s no doubt that Isabela would eventually take her darling. Whether by running away with them or by taking them for her own; Isabela would take whatever action necessary to get what she wants. Her dream is to live with her darling, (isolated) in a little house built atop trees and made of flowers. Wouldn’t that be nice? It could just be the two of you, alone and in love. At least that’s how it goes in her dream.

Isabela just wants to live the life she wants and that life includes you. It’s built all around you being a part of it and she won’t take no for an answer. For once she’s going to do something for herself, something that’ll make her happy and you make her the happiest by merely existing. She loves you, therefore she can’t imagine not being with you. Isabela’s sure you will love your new life with her by your side. Soon enough you’ll get accustomed to it and then no one else will have to matter. Not in her little dream world.

💙 Isabella is very showy for you she especially loves it whenever you do turn into a snake she purposely likes to put you in the sun on one of her many plants so you will heat up she thinks it's absolutely adorable when you are completely healed up you normally try to leave her room and she usually just try to stop you by putting a Vine around your leg sometimes even with thorns

💙 Maribel does get tired of your shenanigans because of your constant pranks or lack thereof which means you're planning but she truly does love you even though sometimes it becomes too much when her jealousy does show

💙Julieta and agustín are more of the sickly sweet pipeline she will make you food and maybe when you're even in your steak from catching mice for you even though you don't really eat sometimes the food is even poison so you are too sick to take care of yourself. Agustín is accident-prone as you see but that doesn't change the fact that he cares about you he's a lot like his wife in some ways maybe less obsessive so he commonly just plays the piano for you even if you're crying after a punishment or chained up by Casita

💙Luisa very strong but very dangerous it's coming for you even if you try to leave the

Casita tries to force you to stay here but if you ever follow the rules and play nice

she's an absolute sweetheart a darling even but it doesn't help because she's the strongest she's often the one that has to bring you home even if you try to Slither away she holds you down by the neck or where she believes your neck is

❤ Abuela it's probably the most tame but also the most dangerous to make angry she is a lot more less stressful on you than the others but that comes with more helicopter parenting if you ever are close to window she's always three feet away if you ever try to get out of the Casita she's always two inches away she's the most dangerous to make angry because she will make sure you get punished

💛Pepa and Felix the helicopter parenting was Abuela then they are complete watch dogs always watching you always checking up on you always making sure you're okay and that would be nice but wasn't every 5 minutes it comes to the point where you sometimes even hide but they normally know where you are they think it's absolutely adorable that you can transform into this think even more when he tried to bite them normally that leads to Pepa thundering through even though Felix is more laid-back here does have his limits his limits come whenever you try to escape and he doesn't the Show punishment but he does give you a firm talking to where he threatens to break your legs

💛 Dolores the person who can hear everything is possibly the only chance that you'll ever be to normalcy you were never able to truly Escape her she can hear you slithering away she can hear you whenever you stub your toe and you swear and beneath your breath and you expect the girl who knows everything about everyone to actually help you because they might understand you but nope you have to stay here it's scary.

💛 Camilo the light-hearted jokester you have lost all hope of anyone ever letting you escape which also lead you to be kind of depressed and sad so Camilla was there to always cheer you up which was usually than my mocking the victims that they've usually got done rid of he loves it whenever you turn to snake whenever you're scared because it really depends on your mood what type of breed you are she does miss your shenanigans with him whenever you would prank people with him but it's safer for you to stay here and not do anything too dangerous

💛 Antonio he's the less of your worries he doesn't even understand his feelings on the matter he understands you whenever you turn into a snake so that's good or he even lets you pet his pet Jaguar so you would feel better watch me yet again he doesn't really allow you to escape but you can easily overpower him because of how young he is but you would never hurt him if you were given the chance he's the lesser of two evils

💚 Bruno is definitely more of a danger for you he will start doing his Visions again especially when he's accepted back in the family so he can see if you would ever escape so he can plan it out normally the family gives you to him whenever they have to do their normal chores so it's definitely an uphill battle with you and him his hugs are so crushing and tight that you commonly can't even escape and you even fall asleep in them they're not even comforting anymore they're more dangerous especially after you tried to escape multiple times he hate it whenever you turn into a snake he's scared that you might hurt his rats so he often punishes you so you won't really turn into a snake as much otherwise he's completely calm

Alma: I’m actually very fond of Alma’s daemon being a butterfly just because of the candle association? May just be me though.

Dolores: A bat! Bats have some of the best hearing in the animal world, I think they’d be a very fitting little dude for her

Julieta: Honeybee, I mean really now.

Camilo: I actually think a peacock fits Camilo better, they’re very showy and flashy (especially males) which fits with his more theatrical personality

Pepa: Some kind of frog or toad unfazed by her weather powers, perhaps?

Mirabel and Bruno: I actually really like the thought that Bruno and Mirabel are so family oriented that they both end up with unintentionally the same daemon form, maybe a wolf for both of them? Wolves are very pack oriented and will break off if they think they’re hurting their family

Luisa: Perhaps a lioness? They do tend to do most of the work in the pride, but they’re also gorgeous and sleep a lot when given a chance

Isabela: A doe, perhaps? Something elegant and graceful but also incredibly skittish, belaying Isabela’s underlying anxiety about her role in the family.

Ooh a butterfly for Alma! That would be a nice symbolism hey like some representation of her and Mirabel's connection. A paralel of sorts. And there may also be some symbolism regarding Isabela as well? Because butterflies depend on flowers and whatnot. Idk maybe i'm overthinking it.

And a bat for Dolores works SO WELL. Because they are cute, but also creepy, and imo Dolores is a bit of a creep (affectionate). Everyone is like yandere camilo this yandere isabela this but lmao Dolores was the one stalking and falling on love with her cousin's fiancé without ever talking to him lol. I love her.

Julieta as a honeybee is so perfect 😭 Agustín was really just there risking his life for love huh

As for Camilo, yeah I can see him as a peacock, but most daemons in the books were the opposite gender to their humans and female peafowls aren't nearly as flashy. Plus i mentioned parrots because they can imitate voices. Though maybe a crow/raven would fit better, then? And if we take into account the whole genderfluid Camilo headcanon, then a daemon of a especies with important s.exual dymorphism may be an interesting concept to play with.

Mmmmamsmmdkfkfm Pepa with a frog 😍 an amphibian creature that doesn't care if she's thudering. Ooh one of those flashy tree frogs that LOOK venemous but aren't! Meaning, if you can look past her eccentric, scary appearance, you'll see she's a sweetheart, she just has anxiety.

Mira and Bruno... Mira and Bruno mira and bruno mira and bruno 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 ok anon so i LOVE the idea of Mirabel and Bruno having the same daemon i LOVE IT SO MUCH. But also Idk i got an idea:

what if, instead of settling between puberty and early adulthood, the Madrigal daemons settle when the children get a door at 5? Which would be VERY WEIRD because settling is associated with adulthood and, on some level, sexual maturity, so seeing a little kid with a settled daemon is pretty fucked. Alma has to make a point that her children are still children and should be treated as such. Their early settling is solely a result of inherited trauma and having to grow up too fast in order to keep themselves safe. Even if the danger is now gone, the fear and trauma still haunts the family and forces their daemons to settle early. The town quickly accepts this as yet another Madrigal thing, nothing to worry about. But Mirabel didn't get a door, so what if her daemon doesn't settle until she turns the doorknob at the end of the movie? THEN she gets her settled form. This represents 1) Mirabel being allowed to grow up normally, without settling unhealthily young to protect her family from a long gone danger, 2) Mirabel not having a clear defined identity, which gives her the freedom to be whoever she wants to be, and 3) Mirabel's daemon shifting around to match her family's whenever they feel like it. I imagine her daemon imitating Luisa's during Surface Pressure, Isabela's What Else Can I Do etc.

And yes her daemon could settle as the same animal as Bruno's but seeing as the point of the final song is about Mirabel seeing herself for who she is - wouldn't it make sense for her to have an entirely unique daemon? So i guess it depends on where we focus - Mirabel's individuality and the new beginning she represents, or her paralels with Bruno as the family scapegoat. I can REALLY imagine Alma (and everyone else) seeing Bruno in her and her daemon and feeling uncomfortable with it. They could even keep it a secret from her! The fact that she and Bruno have the same daemon 😭

As for Bruno's daemon... I raise you this, anon: The maned wolf. They look normal to us yeah but apparently everyone else thinks they look creepy and weird, a mix of fox and deer on stilts, oddly skinny with unnaturally long legs. Maned Wolves are associated with bad omens, when you hear them cry at night in the forest, and with witchcraft and the devil. There's also the tale of the Lobizón, a werewolf-like character: the youngest of seventh sons turning into an evil giant wolf every 13th of every month and needing to be put down. No joke a lot of seventh sons irl were killed because of this belief. But in reality, maned wolves are such sweet and gentle creatures. They are quiet, shy, elegant and graceful little guys i love them. Very skittish and fearful, too. They'd fit just fine in an alternative universe iteration of WDTAB.

BUT i don't think they'd represent Mirabel very well. So if she and Bruno have the same daemon, it may have to be something different, more associated with the scapegoat role? Maybe a rat 👀 Idk Mirabel just seems much more outgoing and confident.

Lioness Luisa :O i actually love that! Luisa with a lioness daemon. Though then again, there's the matter of daemon gender and SURE Luisa is quite gnc it wouldn't be unreasonable to think she may have a female daemon. But Idk if I want to bring it up in her case for reasons i will address in the following part:

So, Isabela. I DO like a doe for her. But - and this is an idea i just came up with - hear me out: Isabela hiding the fact she has a female daemon. Other than her parents and grandmother and MAYBE Bruno (and possibly Dolores because you can't hide shit from her), nobody knows. I'm thinking about her daemon being very quiet and submissive - both in species and personality. They literally never talk. Isabela is terrified of this secret coming out bevause same-gender daemons are associated with queerness, or at the very least, with something odd and strange and "unfitting". Not belonging in the image of the Perfect Isabela, the Perfect Granddaughter, Perfect Bride. Mirabel only discovers the truth when Isabela's daemon snaps at her. But in order for that to work, her daemon should be of a especies with little to no s.exual dymorphism. So YES i love a doe for her. But I also like this idea. Idk. Maybe some sort of rabbit/hare? A bird? But ahhh the doe is so beautiful. It seems so fitting. So aesthetically pleasing. So PERFECT. I cannot choose 😭

(Actually not that sure if I already did one of these, apologies if I did.)

You ran as fast as you could, dodging vines while you did. Attempting to escape from Isabela, you couldn't let her catch you this time. Her punishments were already bad enough, just looking at the bruises made you shudder.

You could hear Isabela's angry growls, not being able to catch you made her grow in fury. Oh, but she knew she would get you, she always did, and always would.

Suddenly, a vine thrusted in front of your feet, making you trip face first. You heard Isabela's evil chuckle from behind you, you tried to get up, but instead a vine wrapped around your foot. Bringing you up to Isabela's face, which was smirking.

Yandere Isabela Madrigal Resenting Her Gift Headcanons (romantic)

Isabela took great pride in her gift, that much was for sure. The colors and overall beauty of what she could grow received nothing but praise and admiration. And amongst the admirers she had come to find her darling. It was her gift that had brought you into her life and for that she would forever be so appreciative of, but Isabela couldn’t help but to think as time went on that maybe her gift was starting to get in the way, in her way.

At first, Isabela couldn’t help but to fall in love with how her darling admired the floral creations she grew. Her chest would swell up with such pride whenever she saw them fawning over the beautiful and vibrant colors she left in her wake. Just seeing the way their eyes would light up or how that fond smile she had grown oh so infatuated with would make it’s way to their lips, Isabela adored every bit of it. The satisfaction she got from being the cause of such reactions was immeasurable and she couldn’t get enough of it. She couldn’t get enough of you.

In her free time she would lock herself up in her room, practicing growing new types of plants and even more beautiful flowers that her darling had never seen before. She’d push herself, as well as her gift, to the limit if it meant she could have what she saw as your attention. She wanted to amaze you with what she could do. She wanted to leave you awestrucked. She wanted to take your breath away. She just wanted your eyes on her and if she had to use her gift to get what she wanted then so be it.

Her room would be a sanctuary of plants, flowers, trees and whatever else she could grow that had even the smallest amount of meaning toward her darling. Whether it be something she knew they’d love or something that reminded her of them, she’d make sure it had a place in her room.

You could imagine how much Isabela would go out of her way for her darling. Their home would no doubt be covered in various vibrant flowers. The land surrounding their home would even be scattered with different types of plants and trees as well; ones that she wanted her darling to admire just as much as the flowers she grew. As much as she surrounds herself in things that remind her of her darling, Isabela would want nothing more than to surround her darling in things that she wanted to remind them of her as well.

It takes a while for Isabela to realize that it isn’t really her that has your attention but rather her gift and for a time she’s left frustrated and hurt. Was her gift all you saw when you looked at her? Was she nothing more than a glorified garden to you? As much as she loved and adored you, Isabela would need to take some time to come to terms with or at the very least fully process her new realization. She wouldn’t want to take her emotions out on you. She could never bring herself to hurt you, purposefully or accidentally. She still cared for and loved you after all. But she also can’t stand to be without you for long either, so in her time avoiding you, Isabela would ask some of her family to keep an eye on you, for her comfort.

During this time she wouldn’t want to grow anything at all. How could she even try to when it was her gift to blame for the situation she was in now? What she wanted more than anything would be to get away from it altogether.

In her anger, frustration and hurt, Isabela would completely ruin everything in her room that she had spent so much time perfecting for her darling. She didn’t want to see anything that resembled someone who she believed didn’t even care for her. In the moment it would feel so good to finally release the emotions she’d been holding in for so long. Both the ones from her current situation and the all the other ones she’s had brewing within her. But the moment doesn’t last long when she sees the aftermath of just what she’s done.

Isabela can’t believe it when she looks upon all that she once held dear to her, all the things that she had created to forever encompass you with her; all of it destroyed. It was nothing now. It was as if you were nothing now. And she breaks. The little sanctuary she had built for herself was nothing anymore. She had ruined her own little escape.

It’ll take Isabela some time, especially when it comes to recreating everything she lost. But when she does she’ll come to yet another realization, one that made her heart clench. It isn’t the fact that she had a gift in itself that had her darling so captivated but rather what it was that her gift was. You just adored plants. You hadn’t been trying to us her for anything whatsoever. (If she was being honest she was the one who was taking advantage of herself this whole time.) You only admired and adored what it was she could do and knowing that, Isabela couldn’t help but to adore you even more.

Your love and attention was all Isabela could ask for. It’s all she wanted. It’s all she needed. She just wanted you to look at her, to see her and not just some plants and flowers.

When the family does lose their gifts for a time and everyone else feels upset and lost, Isabela can’t help feeling more alive and free then she’d ever felt before. She can finally show that she’s more than just her gift now. She can finally have your attention all to herself and not have to play second fiddle to her gift for once. Even when she does get her gift back there’s not a lot that could keep her from not getting jealous whenever she makes something grow. Especially when you run to it, fawning over it. As long as when you did so you at least looked over at her, even for a second, then it would make having her gift again more bearable.

The Madrigals (Platonic Headcanons)

A.N. - I wasn't sure how much of the family you wanted, so I did all of them at once.

A SILENT WAR is waged in Casa Madrigal, and the entire town of Encanto has a stake in it. When the skies darken and pouring rain arrives in gusts of howling winds courtesy of Pepa, every citizen reaps the consequences of the family having an argument with or a disagreement over their friend.

Each member has a unique idea of how best to treat their friend, which breeds an endless amount of petty conflict but also a powerful sense of unity.

As the perceived golden child, Isabela expects to be the centre of their attention. She attempts to dazzle them by blooming rows of the flowers she has been told are beautiful and praised for growing.

If this fails to win their everlasting admiration, Isabela is at a loss for what to do. For much of her life, her chlorokinesis was hailed as her best quality, leaving seeds of envy to sprout when their friend is impressed by another member of the family.

In addition to her own insecurities, Isabela encounters great competition in the form of her cousins. None of these threats are greater than Camilo, who is rich with a need for attention and is determined to steal the title of their friend's favourite Madrigal.

Camilo shapeshifts into random civilians on the street, important people in their friend's life and their preferred member of the family if not himself – all to interact with them a little longer and, in his mind, build a rapport with them.

Luisa is not as hungry for attention as her cousins and older sister, but she does have a robust want to be seen as useful to their friend. She refrains from intruding on their engagements with other members of the family and instead waits for them to seek out her, asking for any tasks and chores that she can do for them every time they meet.

Luisa measures her worth by how much stress she lifts off their friend and encourages them to transfer the smallest and most insignificant duties to her if she has not helped them for a while.

Before Bruno is accepted back into the family, he goes unnoticed by their friend until Dolores enlightens them or they catch him raiding the kitchen in the dead of night during a sleepover. Bruno fears the wrath of Alma and resigns himself to speaking with them through tunnels in the walls, sometimes trying to persuade them to visit his hideout.

Antonio is informed of this via his nocturnal animals and Bruno's rats, but the kid is happy to keep it secret as long as he can come with their friend and receive extra time with them later.

As a magic-less individual in a household full of supernatural abilities, Mirabel struggles to retain a presence in their friend's day. Among her family's nonstop ventures to enthrall them with superhuman feats, she feels that anything she can offer is doomed to be inferior to the gardens, rainbows and heavy lifting.

This does not deter her from trying, however, and Mirabel seeks to claim her piece of their attention by rushing to talk to them and bring them to the privacy of the nursery when a family member steps away.

Regardless of how much their friend tries to keep their private life to themselves, Dolores hears each thought mumbled in secrecy and every twinge of fear and discomfort that sneaks into a laugh or step. She is quite loose-lipped when it pertains to secrets and wastes no time recounting everything she learned to the eager ears of her family.

As a means of vengeance whenever someone interrupts her time with their friend, Dolores withholds information and tells her other relatives not to keep the offending member updated with the latest news until either she forgives them or they apologize to her.

Mirabel and Antonio shed doubt on the fairness of this process, and while she does not approve of its underhanded nature, Alma deems it a necessary invasion to ensure their safety.

As far as Agustín and Félix are concerned, eavesdropping is a silly byproduct of joining the Madrigals because their friend might as well be a member of the family.

Julieta and her motherly instincts support Alma when she encourages their friend to move into Casa Madrigal, citing it as a way to provide them with the happiest life possible.

After he is accepted back into the family, Bruno lives in constant fear of giving their friend one too many negative prophecies and losing their companionship forever. He wishes to only share the good news, but the thought of them facing a hardship unprepared when he could have warned them drives him to track down their whereabouts and deliver the brutal truth.

Whether Bruno slips up or Dolores overhears him, knowledge of the adverse prophecy flows back to the rest of the family and causes an uproar at dinner.

Alma leads the discussion, with Julieta and Pepa throwing in the odd comment here and there. Agustín and Félix are the jokesters of the group and fail to understand why the situation has to be so tense, aiming to keep the room stable with humour.

Isabela casts hidden glares and the occasional snide remark at whoever she thinks their friend prefers to her. Dolores exposes her, and Isabela's denial leads to Pepa succumbing to the emotional chaos and summoning a storm.

Camilo seizes the opportunity to mock and impersonate whichever family member he views as his biggest competitor. Luisa is crying about how she has supposedly disappointed their friend, while Mirabel comforts her and tries to keep a foothold in the conversation at the same time.

Antonio is an anxious observer for most of the event and excuses himself to play with his animals far from the dining room.

Just as it seems like the discussion cannot be salvaged, Bruno stumbles out of a hole in the wall – sand in his mouth and a rat in his hand. He lies and announces a second prophecy that negates the first.

It is a desperate ploy to ease the tempers and fears of his family, and if the real prophecy comes to pass, Bruno suggests a way to fight it but paints the suggestion as a forgotten detail of his vision to preserve his innocence.

When there are people nearby to observe her interactions with her friend, Isabela is the prim and demure woman that she feels obligated to be in the public eye. Beyond growing their favourite flower and handing it to them, she retrains the urge to be more earnest and forthcoming in how happy their presence makes her.

Isabela fears that knowledge of her enthusiasm will travel to her family and result in them judging her friend to be bad for her and hinting that she should end the connection.

Isabela wishes to use her gift out of a sincere want and not the expectations of others. To show her gratitude for their companionship, she decorates her friend's home with an array of vines and flowers while ignoring the neighbouring properties or at least granting the neighbours a far less bountiful taste of nature.

Isabela does not always ask permission to do this, and if anyone questions her favouritism, she claims to be acting on a request and insists that she is giving equal attention to every villager.

If her friend is especially welcoming or encourages her to be honest with her emotions and opinions, Isabela is prone to losing track of the time and skipping a day's work. Her frolicking with them is interrupted by either the moon rising or a member of the family, often Camilo or Luisa, coming to search for her.

The event brings Isabela great shame and scolding from Alma for her lapse in judgment, and Isabela alternates between trying to forget about her friend and wanting to curse the unrealistic expectations placed on her and return to them.

Isabela finds comfort in her friend having some distance from her family, believing that she can shed her mask of perfection and be a new person in their company. They listen to her rant about unfair engagements and the impression that others are interested only in the side of her gift that yields beautiful flowers.

She views her friend as an emotional safety net and a beacon of stability for when she needs an excuse to evade Mariano, and if they are receptive, Isabela is inclined to populate their land with thick foliage to deter anyone else from visiting while she is there.

ROMANTIC:

For as long as Mariano is set to marry her, Isabela keeps quiet about her relationship with her partner when around other Madrigals. She refrains from neglecting her duty to beautify the Casa Madrigal and avoiding her fiancée no matter how much she would prefer to relax with her partner far away from unwanted responsibilities.

After Mariano proposes, Dolores overhears the apologetic and wistful conversations Isabela has with her partner and is faced with a dilemma.

While debating whether to leak her cousin's secret or leave it confidential, the uncertainty plaguing Dolores is caught by the rest of the family. Isabela expresses her dissent via a perpetual trail of flowers that follows her everywhere she goes, but she denies any claims that her partner is the source of her distress.

Mirabel and Luisa are the first to attempt to comfort her, their words leading to Isabela deciding that the best way to appease her family is to distance herself from her partner.

After repairing her relationship with Maribel and nullifying her engagement to Mariano, Isabela is much more open with her affection and no longer worries about drawing criticism or judgment from others. She grants her partner the lushest garden in Encanto and spends more time conversing with them than she does at home.

Isabela is content with not marrying her partner if that is their preference, but she is resistant to the idea of them marrying someone else and becomes grumpy if it is suggested or a joke is made about it.

If someone is troubling her partner or grows closer to them than she has despite her renewed effort, Isabela covers the offender's yard with an assortment of poisonous and carnivorous plants. A path they commonly walk to meet her partner is littered with spiky cacti that poke no one but them.

Isabela subjects them to minor pains for as long as she can get away with it, removing the dangerous plants once the person complains to her family about vines blocking their front door. She rebuts any accusations or questions of her involvement but assumes that her message was understood.

Y/n can create, shape, and manipulate electricity and eventually grow up to create thunderstorms. They can get short-circuited under certain conditions:

— Contact with water while the power is activated.

— Going over a limit, it could lead to third degree burns and even death.

Their personality is cheeky, cheerful, and full of mischievous ideas. They often entertain kids in town and plays with them until they have to go home. If Camilo ever decides to play a prank on them, they will shock him for the rest of the day when he’s least expecting it.

They wouldn’t admit this, will often put themselves in danger in order to protect the towns people from dangerous and will sacrifice their own life to ensure the people are safe.

They have a lightening scar on their left side of their face that goes from their temple to their jawline. It happened when the night they got their gift. It resulted in their left eye changing into a lighter color, fortunately, they can still see.

Here’s some headcanons:

— Is very clingy and attached to Dolores. They will often ask her if they can sleep with her ( and have some cuddles) all the time, would stay in her room if she allows them to. They will tell everything to her, including their secrets and insecurities. Will get very sad if anyone says that they’re not Dolores favorite. If Dolores is watching (or hearing) them, they will show off and act cool. Since thunderstorms can calm people, they will often press their hands into her ears and make soft noises in order to calm her down. Falls asleep in her lap when they get overwhelmed or overuse their gift. Never uses their gift around Dolores unless she asks, or to calm her down because they know lightning would hurt her ears. If they ever accidentally hurt her, they will avoid her at all costs.

—Is also attached to Pepa. Since pepa can make lightning, they would always admire her for that. She also can’t accidentally or purposely hurt y/n with her thunders, since they’re immune to it. They try to calm her down when she has a bad episode. Will hide behind her whenever they get into trouble or overwhelmed.

—They have a sweet tooth.

—When their emotions get out of hand, they will hurt themselves and others until Pepa, Dolores and Isabela comforts them.

💛 Camilo is the absolute worst glares the most murder and possibly the worst time ever he watches you sleep can't help it sometimes he even gets in your bed and Cuddles with you he even uses his Poncho to signify that you are off limits no matter what he often likes can mimic your style he thinks it's absolutely adorable like I said he's a worse so you caught him almost killing one guy who Disturbed you and you had to pull him he was covered in blood and still smile that you "ah Mi querida I had to do it if you are around I would have killed him"

💛 Antonio sends one of his favorite animals to watch you sleep and cuddle with you personally they don't mind but they do think it's a little creepy because he does go a little bit far with this he likes the model all of his parents

💚 Bruno loves to watch you sleep through the cracks in this wall but when she was accepted back he often join the rest of the family and watching you his eyes kind of glow like a cat and it gets even worse when you wake up in the middle of night and just see two glowing green eyes you often don't even recognize it's him so you often don't even know what to do but he does he likes to just make small comments"mi dulce you're so cute when you're asleep" and he just continues to sit there and smile

💙Maribel is the sweetest when it comes to you she knows you try to help around town and even if you have a terrible night sleep just expect you not doing any work for a while most of the townspeople don't mess with you because well because of your lack of sleep you don't really get anything done so they don't see any appealing you which makes her pretty angry but Maribel has always there to calm you down

💛Pepa and Fèlix they always do their best to make sure you get some sleep just expects and platonic cuddles from them and it is crushing you're always in between them and they are always going to be by your side it gets suffocating sometime since no one else tries to get in between them because they get very scary whenever someone tries to take you away

💛 Dolores can always hear you in the middle of the night whenever you can't sleep because she will hear you randomly wake up and go to the kitchen and get some snacks she doesn't tell anyone of course only if you bribe her with snacks which usually give her your favorite snack to make sure she doesn't do anything to be honest is her least favorite but she doesn't say anything still eat it and she savors every moment of it

💛 Camilo is often the one that makes fun of your bags because they're very deep but he will kill anyone that makes fun of your bags that's not him because they don't understand what you go through you to have a friendly joking around about your sleep problems often if you're sleeping with him tonight he's the one that holds you the most close he's the one that would probably do the most spine crushing besides Luisa

💛 Antonio she sends one of his animals to make sure you get some good sleep he knows his research on how animals help people sleep so he often sends his Jaguar to sleep with you kind of like a giant cat

💚 Bruno it's often the one that relates to you the most cuz he's the one who has some of the worst sleep issues like you so he doesn't do anything but comfort you and give you a bunch of blankets and stuffed animals which usually helps him he even lets you sleep with one of his favorite rats

💜 you had to move to Encanto do the safety you are originally from America so you never really learn Spanish in time so you just had to deal with it so you hopefully had had one of your family members translate anything that they say otherwise you were very shy and didn't speak to any of the Town people they knew you didn't understand the language so they try to learn some form of English so you would be able to be a comfortable since it was a small town

❤ Abuela I know she'll probably want to be only members that are semi fluid in English so she would be able to make basic conversation with you she felt a sort of attachment to you since she reminded of her when she was pretty young confused about the world and new to taking care of people she allowed you to stay with her family so you would get comfortable and learn the language to some extent

💛 Camilo he absolutely adores you how cute you are whenever you try to learn languages or try to pronounce it it doesn't help that you are semi shorter than him so he could easily pick you up so it's quite funny whenever you walk along the town with him and try to say hello to the Town members in Spanish so that's good but otherwise Camilo with your translator he often spoils you with food and treats and dresses up as towns member for you

💛 Delores he's probably the second most fluent in English she is very much able to understand you to some extent so she'll try and also teach you how to order stuff so you won't have to go hungry once you are out and about but they really don't want you to actually be out they think it's a little dangerous for you especially because you are still very new to the area

💛 Antonio's definitely one of the more kind ones but he does not understand you at all like you don't understand him so you being part of family sounds like a good idea you live alone and you're obviously young so might as well live with a family

💛Pepa and Félix they're pissed off that your parents did not come with you but you're obviously there's some guy at the moment so they are the guidance for you so they learned English to some extent so they would be able to talk to you they were able to learn your language and able to learn there's whenever you're out on the town with them they are overprotective as hell

💙 Julieta and agustín they are obviously going to be the most friendly and feed the food that was amazing it's so flavorful much better than homes although you did miss your mother's cooking you would often ran to Juliet about missing your mother even though she didn't understand you she probably knew you were very sad

💙 Isabella would do anything to impress you with her flower abilities would be growing flowers country thought you would often event to Isabel about it she did feel jealousy whenever you would mention you actually had an older sister but she push that aside and started filling that role of being an older sister

💙 Luisa without the compress You by her strength and how much she could lift she was absolutely Smitten by you put more in a platonic way you were she loved her and she loved how naive you were a human

💙 Maribel she always fell in love with American-made fighter or lack thereof so she wanted to learn more you would often answer her questions and Camellia what translate it was very interesting that she would take notes and slowly began to divulge into a very happy family life until one day you said you had to go home
