Nandor attempting to propose to Guillermo goes slightly sideways because he asks Guillermo to be his wife and Guillermo says he'd rather be Nandor's husband.

And there's back and forth arguing for a whole episode until finally Nandor relents agrees that Guillermo can be his husband.

And Guillermo talks about how Nandor has come to understand the differences in how gender and sexuality and marriage intersect in the modern day, blah blah changing worlds blah blah blah

And a season later, after the wedding Nandor introduces himself as Guillermo's wife.

Laszlo being the character we consistently see display the most (complex) emotions is so interesting to me. In another show he would be the dark, says-what-he-thinks, emotionally distant character, but in this show he's surrounded by people who are so emotionally constipated that he looks like a well-balanced, edgy guy in comparison

i looooved seeing guillermo glowing and confident and overflowing with generosity this episode. checking in w derek and inviting him to the wedding? clearly actually not being jealous of nandor? being genuinely supportive when nandor was nervous but not in a codependent way, in a way that shows how much he’s grown? it’s…perfection. all i wanted was guillermo in his slay era and nandor in his regret (and “oh”) era. wwdits provides.

Everyone's all "finish me guillermo" or "that's my fucking guy" !!!!! yes, those are both great scenes BUT WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT

I'm curious what you guys think about Colin's secret room.

I've seen some posts that interpret its very existence as proof that Colin is lying to Laszlo. Because the room exists- it has his journals and his clothes, etc.- that Colin must have put it all there for himself to collect later on and that he's lying when he said he didn't know what his deal was an energy vampire...

but that's not how i interpreted that scene at all.

I think he and the house are connected somehow, like its his spawn point. the way he opened the room seemed otherworldly. hitting those spots didn't reveal buttons or anything. he just punched holes in the wall but they were finally the right ones. and it didn't reveal a simple door... a piece of the wall itself burst open spontaneously to reveal that wooden door. like the house is alive.

It's entirely possible that the house itself is something Other and Colin Robinson is connected to it. We don't know how those journals got there. What if he wasn't the one journaling? he assumed they were his because they were (presumably) in his writing but maybe the house itself was writing these journals as colin robinson lived them. Maybe those clothes are spawned by the house?? could the house itself have stored colin's life's memories and necessities deep in its bowels in preparation for his new cycle?

Just a thought. Could be dead wrong but this is wwdits. much weirder things are canon

thinking about how nandor calling all his partners wives is a clever way to have him very explicitly handwave heteronormativity and establishes him as someone who doesn't even register the modern sexuality zeitgeist BUT still places him as the sole husband: still centers him as the man of the house, the one waited on hand and foot, the one in charge, and the one ultimately aloof from a relationship that is supposed to be a partnership (there being many wives notwithstanding).

and how if, in the end, guillermo refuses to be nandor's wife and insists on being his husband that it sings in total synergy with the entire storyline thus far - it would be guillermo learning to own himself, his sexuality, his self worth, and refusing to be a doormat, and nandor accepting that change is part of life even when you are undying, and that he cannot always be dominant in order to avoid being vulnerable, and in fact needs a partner that will challenge him

i am beyond mad. im not gonna talk about whatever else happened this post is about MARWA.

the way marwa has been treated is fucking disgusting. the ENTIRE season she has been treated by the writers and characters as nothing but some fucked up item for nandor to play with and throw away when he got bored, and thats exactly what happened.

she had her entire life STOLEN from her. she was forced into this box, forced to be this perfect complying wife. why arent we fucking mad about this. Marwa, a BROWN WOMAN, was supposedly happiest when she was turned into a WHITE MAN. marwa was stripped of EVERYTHING! nandor took EVERYTHING FROM HER! AND THIS IS THE SENDOFF SHE FUCKING GETS? FOR HAVING EVERY OUNCE OF PERSONALITY STOLEN FROM HER? FOR BEING FORCED INTO A MARRIAGE SHE DIDNT WANT? HER ENTIRE AUTONOMY WAS RIPPED AWAY FROM HER AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS? every episode, more and more was forcefully TAKEN from her, and this is what she gets?

i love this show! i love everything about it but this is NOT it! this is a problem! TWO MALE DIRECTORS REPEATEDLY writing nandors love interests like objects is fucking concerning! this is ruining the entire show for me, and i hate to see it go down this way.

one of my favorite jokes in wwdits is whenever guillermo’s being attacked by humans or ppl he doesnt wanna kill hes all like “nooo stopppp what the heck! you dick! jerkwad! Meanie! dingus poopoo!” and then suddenly when they hit him he becomes deranged and kicks severe cunt

like i love the topher episode just because guillermo goes from, “stop it buddy” to “hey- OW TOPH!! That really hurts!!!!!!!” to “OH FUUUCK NO NO ONE BITES GUILLERMO-” and in this episode we have the “im not gonna hit you oh my god are you ok-“ to “im just trying to talke to you like a regular person youre being kind of a FUCKING DICK right now!!” To “OKAY, THAT KINDA FUCKING HURT YOU FUCKING DICK!

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if in the wwdits universe, Orcs are considered to be badass warriors who are hot as fuck. You cannot convince me Nandor wasn’t flirting.
