marwa is living out a horror story 

My mind (when I can find it) Thinks of the Ship of Theseus And of what I now consist As I stare into my altered face

When my mind's allowed to wander I ponder a paradox like this: Does the same me anymore exist If every part has been replaced?

I want Marwa to stay but I want her to be free from Nador and the wish changes and I want her to be his bitchy ex who is literally nice to everyone except Nandor and she lives in the attic mancave she made for herself and I want her to host regular movie nights with Nadja, The Guide, and Dolly in there. I want her to be free and happy but I also don't want her to go

Nandor sabotaging his own wedding because he doesn't really want to marry Marwa: "Why would Guillermo do this?"

OK SO BASICALLY HE WISHED FOR MARWA (who he doesn’t deserve) TO LIKE ALL THE SAME THINGS HE LIKES AND THEN IN THE FIRST SCENE WE SEE MARWA AND GUILLERMO TOGETHER FOLLOWING THIS WISH, MARWA HUGS AND KISSES HIM AND TELL HIM SHE DOESN’T KNOW WHAT SHE’D DO WITHOUT HIM. SO WE HAVE CANONICAL CONFIRMATION THAT NANDOR WANTS TO HUG AND KISS GUILLERMO AND TELL HIM HOW APPRECIATED HE IS-- HEY ARE YOU LISTENING

personally I think that The Guide, Marwa, Derek, Jenna, Simon the Devious, the Djinn, Baron Afanas, the Sire, their mutant frog babies and their golden retriever hellhound should get a spin-off show and all live together as the new chaotic vampire household. yes i am deranged but also totally based like come on you know it would be great

Marwa making the man cave for herself… breathe if you agree

i know the popular fan theory right now is that marwa hates nandor because nandor hates himself and while i fully agree that that is a man with deep self loathing I actually disagree that it’s the wish that made her feel that way. the exact wish was that she likes everything he likes, not that she dislikes everything he dislikes, which i feel is an important distinction. the djinn has lawyer fae bullshit rules, remember. he’s going to follow the letter of the wish, and he’s never going to make it more convenient for the wish maker. he’s probably not going to increase the span of it to make it so that their preferences are entirely identical, which is arguably closer to nandors meaning at the time. which means that marwa’s dislikes may be a rare source of free will for her, and the fact that she has begun to display a pretty strong hate for nandor is indicative of how this state may be affecting her and the rightful pain she feels at nandor for it. like. the sheer internal turmoil that must be caused by having your likes and dislikes inexplicably having zero internal consistency. suddenly experiencing a noticeable shift in your own preferences and not knowing why. realizing that there’s a nexus around one specific person and it’s the person you married right after it happened. she’s canonically a smart woman. she may have begun to realize that whatever’s happened, it’s tied to nandor. and personally I hope she fucks him up for it

Just realised if Nandor had 52 wishes and used 1 wish to ask for the number of wishes, 1 wish to bring back his wives, 1 wish to make the wives speak English, 36 wishes to *cough cough* re-dead all but one of his wives, and 3 wishes to alter Marwa's hair colour he now has a maximum of 10 wishes left. NANDOR.

I have never been more normal about a show before.

I saw the take that Freddie as an episode is framed differently “we're not supposed to laugh”, “Nandor is the villain” and “Guillermo's feelings are really hurt” and I do agree but I would add something: it's the first time Guillermo lets himself feel and express those feelings (from suppressing his feelings for Nandor so hard that the first time they came out he's in disguise, the killing catching up to him when he hears Jenna's friend talk, how private he is about his life) Nandor is a repressed himbo but Guillermo isn't that much better.

Nandor hurts him emotionally on multiple occasions and Guillermo has different reactions to them: 2x8 after Nandor tells him that Benjy is the best familiar he has ever had and he should go we see Guillermo turn around and cry and talk to himself about how overlooked and underappreciated he is, 3x10 he snaps at Nandor but Nandor's not really listening to what he's saying and so he uses violence to drive his point home and then Nandor reveals it was all a test and everything is forgiven and 4x1 Guillermo tells Nandor he's dead to him and Nandor has the face to ask "What the fuck did I do" and then dry him off to calm him down while not listening to what he has to say about not going on the trip with him (a lot would have been solved if Nandor had instead of blindly "forgiving" him).

In 4x9 Guillermo doesn't stop talking, he doesn't just walk out, he confronts Nandor not by raising his voice or using violence, he tells Nandor exactly how it is, Nandor tries to stop him but Guillermo is beyond that and we're shown the most vulnerable Nandor we have ever seen (with another person): his voice gets soft his demeanor a little submissive but the spell is broken when he glances at the camera but the difference this time is that Nandor listened to him...he actually HEARD what he had to say and didn't blame Guillermo for how he felt about the situation or find a way around the fact that his actions after this conversation weren't "his plan after all" but a response to what Guillermo said and felt.
