i genuinely had to pause at this moment and pace around my room. he's a soldier he's the soldier he could never shirk his duty he wouldn't just be called up he'd be leading the charge of the light brigade he told the goblin king 'it is my fondest hope to die doing as you have ordered me to do' he'd die bravely and foolishly and thinking rue was affronted by his affections and rue would wait for his return. and wait. and wait.

You know what? I’ve actually decided I’m still not over Wuvvy.

On wuvvy,

I want to support her. I do. My heart hurts for her. I can imagine almost nothing as painful as watching the person you love seek another. But the thing is, while it may have been love at first, it is love no longer. Love wants what is best for a person. Now, Wuvvy has SO MANY REASONS to react the way she has. She must feel so betrayed. Rue is far from blameless in their treatment of Wuvvy. HOWEVER, none of this changes the fact that what Wuvvy is becoming is desperate, controlling, and unhealthy. And it hurts so much to watch because reasons are different from excuses and you know she has so many reasons. I just want to hold her in my arms and cry.

aabria is such a menace having wuvvy deliver the letter, and I love her for that!1!!!!1

please please please just let someone choose wuvvy. let lady sylmenar and wuvvy go to her house by the lake and just exist. just breathe. no need for grand gestures - because quiet affection, gentle and strong and unshakable affection, is just as important. sometimes outfits match and sometimes they don’t. and it’s all alright - they aren’t performing. just existing. just breathing. just days by the lake, dipping her hands in and watching the ripples she makes stretch out and out until she can’t see them anymore. syl kissing her cheek, reading a book and offering company.

wanessa joins them, and it’s her choosing the fey on her own terms, and she’s marvellous because of her magic but also because she remembers the lyrics to hundreds of songs, and she learnt to sail when she was fourteen, and she smiles at wuvvy and sylmenar in a way that makes wuvvy smile too. because there’s saying i choose you, and then there’s the act of wanessa baking blueberry muffins instead of raspberry ones because she knows they’re wuvvy’s favourite. and there’s lady sylmenar leaving books out simply because she thinks wuvvy might enjoy them. choosing doesn’t have to be grand, it can just be.

sorry i just have 2 gush about acofaf really quick. genuinely as someone who loves character-driven stories and dramatic tension derived from relationship dynamics, i think a court of fey and flowers is going to be my most rewatched d20 series. i'm obsessed with the way that aabria has developed and run the game mechanics and the total commitment of all the cast members to their characters and the universe of the game <333 obsessed w the epistolary and token mechanics, LOVE the use of dice within social encounters, and i am hooked on every subplot and storyline. i hope aabria gets the recognition she deserves as the gm for this season and i'm so excited for the rest of the season
