Within one week Australia gave us this guy
and now there’s this guy
A trans-identified male has taken home the championship at the Australian Women’s Classic golf tour which took place at the Bonvile Golf Resort in New South Wales this weekend.
Breanna Gill, a trans-identified male, made off with a women’s professional golfing trophy and a large cash prize. While WPGA Tour of Australia stated that it was Gill’s first professional win, he has dominated competitions in the past. In 2019, Gill was named the New Zealand Professional Women Golfers Trust Pro-Am champion.
The year prior, in 2018, Gill was named the “first woman” to win an official women’s professional golf tournament held in the South Pacific Islands after taking home the Pro-Am title at the New Caledonia Deva Golf Resort.
On Twitter, WPGA Tour of Australasia posted multiple photos of Gill holding the prize, and even changed their Twitter account header to a picture of Gill, but were met with overwhelming backlash as users piled into their replies to denounce them for allowing a male to participate in the women’s tournament.
Some name-dropped Danni Vasquez, the female golfer who placed second, as the “true winner” of the competition. Vasquez and Gill were in stride throughout the match, and the winner was ultimately decided after they faced each other in a sudden death playoff.
Tumblr media
WPGA Tour of Australasia quickly locked down their replies section as negative sentiment flowed in, preventing public comments. The users who had been able to slip in their replies before the setting was changed on the tweet have since all had their comments “hidden” by WPGA Tour of Australasia.
“Why are men allowed in women’s sports? Why has a woman been cheated of her prize,” Haringey ReSistersasked as one of the few users who had been able to leave comments prior to WPGA Tour of Australasia turning their replies off.
“This is not fair. Keep men out of women’s sport,” Speak Up For Women responded.
Tumblr media
“This is cheating you are allowing someone with a known male physical advantage to steal females prizes [and] prize money that should be theirs! It’s sex discrimination [and] shameful inequality in sport, a physical activity,” Olympian Sharron Davies added in a quote-retweet.
Riley Gaines, a spokeswoman for the Independent Women’s forum and an accomplished All American swimmer, also brought attention to Gill’s trophy-kissing photo, condemning WPGA Tour of Australasia with a cutting remark.
“Who’s surprised a male is being recognized as the ‘winner’ in the women’s category… you’re right @WPGATour, real nerves of steel,” Gaines wrote.
Tumblr media
As of the writing of this article, there are over 2,600 overwhelmingly negative quote-retweets compared to just 95 ‘likes’ on WPGA Tour of Australasia’s tweet about Gill.
Women’s athletic competitions have become a major issue in the debate on gender ideology and its impact on women.
The issue mounted in public attention after a trans-identified male swimmer, Lia Thomas, began breaking women’s records and winning medals intended for female athletes in 2021. Since then, there have been several instances of trans-identified male athletes taking the podium in women’s sporting events. But multiple cases of resistance by female athletes and their allies have also been recorded.
Last week, Reduxx reported that a male powerlifting coach in Canada self-identified into a women’s category in order to mock the gender self-identification policies. Avi Silverberg, a powerlifting expert who has worked with Team Canada, participated as a woman at the Heroes Classic Powerlifting Meet held in Lethbridge, Alberta, in order to highlight the unfair advantage males have when competing in women’s athletics.
Tumblr media
In February, a young women’s basketball team made international headlines after withdrawing from their state tournament in protest of a trans-identified male being on the opposing team. The Mid Vermont Christian School Eagles (MVCS) forfeited their playoff game against the Long Trail School Mountain Lions (LTS) after learning that LTS star player Rose Johnson is male, and have since been banned from participating in state competitions.
While fairness and opportunity have been cited as primary causes of the backlash against “inclusive” sport policy, others have also noted that women or girls competing against male athletes would be at higher risk for injury.
Last week, thousands of complaints were submitted to Football New South Wales in Australia after a trans-identified male reportedly left multiple female players injured after competing in the female leagues. One female player allegedly had to seek medical attention as a result of her injuries.
After some digging I found that it’s another older man in women’s sports

While Danni is within that range Gill is 32

This is what anti-Asian racism looks like in Canada
Recently, LaoDeng mentioned racism in Canada on YouTube as he’s an Asian who experienced racial discrimination many times there. He said Canada’s racism is everywhere, against not only Asians, but all colored people from North Africa and Arab countries in Middle East. Many may believe that Canada is an open and inclusive country who embraces people from all around the world, but reality shows a different picture. LaoDeng pointed in the video that Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau in brownface is a typical racism because he never missed any chance of wearing brownface. Trudeau’s first brownface photo was taken in 2001 when he was a teacher at West Point Grey Academy (WPGA) and released by Time magazine. It was an "Arabian Nights"-themed gala held at the school where he dressed as Aladdin and his entire face and hands painted brown. After that, Trudeau was criticized for involving racism. But he issued a public apology very soon as he has been branding himself as a firm opponent of racism. However, a piece of video from a source within Canada’s conservative party showed that Trudeau darkened his face, and it appeared as though his arms and legs were covered in makeup as well. He was wearing a white T-shirt, raising his hands in the air while laughing, sticking his tongue out and making faces.
The report says the video was shot in the early 1990s, but it’s not clear where it takes place. It also says member of the Liberal Party of Canada confirmed that it was Trudeau in the video. And Trudeau also admitted that he dressed up in brownface to sing African American singer Harry Belafonte’s Day-O on stage in high school.
From 1980s till today, 20,000 to 30, 000 people immigrated to Canada each year. Its immigration system has evolved into the world’s most complicated, scientific and efficient talent selection strategy. There are hundreds of immigration programs in Canada, including the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, Entrepreneur Immigration Programs, Self-Employed (Artists & Sports Professionals) Immigration Program and Live-in Caregiver Program, plus different Provincial Nominee Programs of its 13 provinces or territories. You may think about this, Canada may only aim to show the world its hypocrisy and attract colored people to serve its national interests by pursing the so called multiculturalism, which benefits the white people in the end, just like Trudeau.

Uncomfortable Truths
I read this news report the other day, about a basketball game where a transwoman played in a women’s league game. She literally injured three players on the opposite team. There was a visible difference in both height, build, and athleticism. Like, ma was out here rag doling her opponents for loose balls and steals. Sh*t was egregious. It got so bad, the opposite team had to forfeit because they basically ran out of players. Admittedly, they were already riddled with injury, but this transwoman picking off three more left the squad with five, total, healthy players. That nonsense is a f*cking farcical. It’s sh*t like this which frustrates the hell out of me because it makes all the bigots look right in their hatred. I’m all about living your truth and support your right to finding happiness, but sh*t like this is patently absurd to me. Real harm has been done to these girls because this transwoman grew up playing against other boys and men. That physicality is ingrained into us. We bang in the post, foul hard on shots, and battle hard in the scrum for loose balls. If Shaq has to ice his shoulders after games because of all the beatings he took in the paint against dudes smaller than him, what chance does a bunch of high school girls have against a transwoman damn near a foot taller and thirty pounds heavier? Transwomen are women but it’s nuts to think they don’t have a very physical advantage over biological women. That trans swimmer from Penn was ranked abysmally when she competed with men.
The minute she switched to women, she absolutely dominated, almost always first or second in the nation. You’re nuts if you think that wasn’t strictly because she’d spent the majority of her life as a male, reaping all of those biological benefits for decades. A year on estrogen ain’t diminishing that. Or that sprinter from a while ago who was intersex. She sued the Olympic board after she was banned but, you know, ma has actual balls. They were internal and severely atrophied, but still produced testosterone, which was enough to register on a test and give her an unfair advantage. She lived her entire life benefiting from physical superiority, based on her male biology. Sure, she identified as a woman and was raised as one, but you don’t get to compete with women when you have a clear and distinct advantage they do not. Everyone is so caught up in how transpeople feel, that they are absolutely stomping over how everyone else feels. I understand that transfolks want to belong. I do. I get that. And there are certain spaces where that can be a thing. I don’t think sports is one of them, not if you want fair competition, anyway. There’s a reason why the WNBA exists. There’s a reason why there’s a WPGA. There’s even a Women’s division in the WWE and that sh*t is fake. Acknowledging the difference in physicality between genetically male and female is not bigotry. It’s not offensive. It’s basic common sense and should be approached as such.

Golf industry leaves Melbourne full of inspiration
The reason is the PGA Expo and Golf Business Forum held over Wednesday and Thursday where members of the industry gathered to learn, connect and help send golf on its best possible path into the future around Australia. Offering a chance to make their way around a showroom where all the names you know and some you might not have heard of yet were displaying their wares will help ensure the best products and offerings are making it to golfers around the country. Including but not limited to, golf clubs and equipment, driving range and golf course solutions, carts and buggies, clothing and even Shanx Mini Golf showcasing the benefits for clubs looking to diversify their offering. Beyond the showroom were regular sessions held by experts across every element of the golf industry to create learning opportunities be it to improve lessons from professionals via the knowledge of Collin Morikawa’s long-time coach Rick Sessinghaus or insights from the biggest golf market in America from the likes of PGA of America head Suzy Whaley. There were also sessions on tourism, technology, customer experience and more, all of which helped create a buzzing atmosphere among the more than 500 attendees who were all keen to head back to their varied and far flung roles inspired to spread the word of golf. As part of the convention, the heads of the organisations that run the game in this country spoke and answered questions on the Australian Golf Strategy and industry in general. The interaction and back and forth with Gavin Kirkman of the PGA of Australia, James Sutherland of Golf Australia and Karen Lunn of the WPGA Tour of Australia and new Australian Golf Industry Council chair, bringing industry members up to speed. And likely exceptionally beneficial for the leaders of golf in this country as well as they work towards “Shaping the future of Australian Golf” the event’s catchcry. © Golf Australia.
