These audio animatronic puffins called Maelstrom their home until 2014, when it closed to make way for Frozen Ever After. Luckily for them, they survived the transition and still are living happy lives in the finale of the new Norwegian attraction!

Future World fibre optic floor lights: Epcot (????-2019)
Propaganda:I AM SO FERAL ABOUT THIS AND WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM FOR TAKING THESE OUT. Apparently at the newly open world celebration area, or whatever generic ass boring garden area took the place of Future World, there are some lame LED floor lights, but they apparently were malfunctioning the first week 🤪 It ain't got NOTHING on these! These babies were so magical, they seem simple, but as a kid, and heck even as an adult they brought me so much joy, but as a kid, this was pure disney magic! It will never be the same leaving Epcot and not having twinkling tinkerbell like lights on your path out 😭 Its the little things like this that made such a difference and is disappearing in the parks 😭
Chef Daisy Duck was greeting in the World Showcase today at Epcot. She, along with Mickey and Goofy (also dressed as chefs), can sometimes be found during the first few days of the International Food & Wine Festival to celebrate.
She's an icon of Walt Disney World in every outfit she wears, imo 🤩.
DUCKTALES WORLD SHOWCASE ADVENTURE IS OFFICIALLY LAUNCHING AT EPCOT THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16TH!!!
Last week, the game was added to the Play Disney Parks app and revealed the main synopsis, with journalist Scott Gustin providing more details earlier today. In it, you're tasked with helping the Duck-McDuck family find and return the 7 Plunders of the World to its rightful owners, all while facing a number of familiar foes.
There are seven main missions, one for each Plunder and lasts 25-30 minutes per mission. Each mission will take place in the following World Showcase Pavillions: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Japan, France, and the United Kingdom. An achievement will be obtained for every completed mission. After all seven Plunders are found, an eighth and final playable mission will be unlocked.
Be sure to download the Play Disney Parks app and head over to EPCOT if you plan on playing DuckTales World Showcase Adventure during your Walt Disney World trip!

Just outside of Frozen Ever After, you can find this waterfall cascading down some rock work. Before 2016, this rock work was open and offered a view into the previous attraction- Maelstrom!

Shark Reef at Typhoon Lagoon: 1989-2016
Propaganda:
YOU COULD SNORKEL WITH SAFE SHARKS YOU GUYS! WITHOUT AN UP-CHARGE! (I believe there was a side where you could pay to stay longer or something? Or have a longer experience privately or something, idk) It was so cool. You rented snorkling gear and swam across a pool with real fish and sharks. You could go in the sub and watch from there if you were too scared, and it had fun creaking sound effects in it.
I remember seeing it in Disney Singalong Songs: Mickey's Fun Songs: Beach Party and I was obsessed with it but too scared to do it for the longest time, but thankfully I did before they closed it! When I came back the parks after like 7 years, I was devastated to see it gone/just have the top of the sub left. Now it is literally just sand with a bunch of beach chairs D:

Kim Possible: World Showcase Adventure: Epcot (2009-2012)
Propaganda:
"never got to experience this one myself but as a diehard kim possible fan I gotta submit it"
Guys, this was so freaking cool and unique. And while the base of this still exists as Agent P's World Showcase Adventure and now Ducktales, this was the superior version. You literally got a Kimmunicator! But like Wade would contact you for secret mission around world showcase and your device would activate certain interactive things hidden in world showcase, and gave you clues for each mission! Like hidden stuff would appear only when you had your Kimmunicator and stuff at the right spot. It was so cool!
Here is an overview of how stuff worked/good info on it
