Steve wears nail polish as well. And his nails are always painted. At first it was just because Max and El painted them at first and Robin wanted to try painting nails. Later on, once the polish eventually came off, Steve just stuck his hand in Max’s face and stood there until she got the memo and repainted them with little flowers. Now he walks around each week with a different design and now Eddie knows why his nails are no longer subjected to Max’s experiments

Gege what is happening to your writing? Sukuna having a Twin should've been revealed AGES ago, At least you could've revealed it during Gojo or Yuta’s fight or something (I am not a writer in the slightest) but God Almighty this Fight has been dragged on long enough.

Whew… holy shit. I did it. It’s over. I made it all 31 days. I’m… exhausted, but very proud of myself. Like, looking back over it all now, I can actually see the gradual improvement in my art from prompt to prompt compared to where I was at before. Not gonna lie, it’s awesome to feel like I’ve made some genuine progress for once, y’know? And that’s in spite of getting hella sick and pushing through major fatigue burnout. Man, it’s gonna be weird not having this, like, routine anymore. Doing a piece a day (or roughly so) was very rewarding in a lot of ways… but also draining. Very draining. My hands need a rest badly, and so do I.

(Hi, future Veins here, popping in to say I did not rest as much as I would’ve liked for, you see, I seem to have accidentally muscle-memoried myself. It’s not so much I have a real routine now - more like I need to draw at least a little bit every day or I get antsy. It is… quite the double-edged sword, I must say.)

Nightshade watches him work: Not even other decepticons?

Tarantulas, bitterly: Especially other decepticons [actives the device, projecting a human hologram] And to think, once this device is complete, I will pass for human. I won't be BOUND by restrictive labels like autobot, or decepticon anymore. [hologram fails to pick up a rock, Tarantulas taps at the device, and the hologram succedds] At last, I will be free.

NS: Isn't that a contradiction though? [Retrives a compotent part] You'll be free, but also hiding?

T: Ah, y-you'll understand. Once you choose an alt form.

NS: But I don't want an alt form. 

Tarantulas addresses Nightshade directly: You are a transformer, another mode is your birth right. [returns to working]

NS: I see no need for one, aren't I sufficient as I am?

T: Young one, alt forms aren't meant to complete you, as though you have a missing part. They further express who you already are.

Nightshade looks complative at Tarantulas: I haven't heard it explained that way before... This is why you've chosen such a unique appearance.

T: Yes, I will always be Tarantulas. And you, Nightshade, however you may appear, who will you be?

NS: I'll be me! A sciencist. A protector, someone who... helps thoses in need [smiles]

Tarantulas, awkward and moved: I- I am glad for it. No one's ever been so generous to me... I [Goes back to working abruptly, changing tone] It is a gift, to know yourself so well, so young. Take pride in it.

i’ve thought about it, i’ve agonized over it, i’ve gone back and forth in a myriad of different arguments and looked at every aspect of each verse to see how his personality reflects my own struggles and i’ve noticed a lot of unintentional reflections and experiences that are very familiar. i think i have been excising a lot of my own demons through hook as i battled through trying to understand and navigate and as such, certain symptoms etc are accounted for in almost every verse. as such, killian has bipolar 1 in all verses. it’s not a plot point. it’s not something he’s going to openly struggle with in threads. but it is something that he deals with and it does influences a lot of his behavior and thought patterns. the way he deals with it, the way he approaches it, the way it affects his life ... it varies from verse to verse because the environment changes and the strategies he is taught/picks up to handle difficult situations in general changes. sometimes he knows, sometimes he doesn’t. sometimes he’ll find out and wrestle it into submission, other times it might get the best of him. but most of his first episodes were/will be caused by a traumatic experience (hmm. a captain hook blog. i wonder.). obviously killian is a very important character to me, for a myriad of reasons, and while I always fight to keep that distinction between character vs yourself .. I think sometimes the muses we’re best at exist because of a personal connection ... and reading through my writing over the last decade with him has really shown me that i was already writing certain hints and characteristics .. so i might as well just fucking embrace it.
