I think it was @reallifesolace that mentioned that will and nico are swifties and I love that idea so so much but then I remembered that nico has like no concept of modern music, so like imagine will just making a random Taylor reference one day and Nico is like who is that?? And will gets really excited and the other Apollo kids are like “here he goes” and Will introduces Nico to all of her albums and they stay up till midnight to listen to midnights when it comes out sharing Wills earbuds so they can listen together and Will rants about all the Easter eggs and references and Nico pretends to be annoyed but secretly loves it and all of Taylor’s albums and wow this got long anyways this is canon I don’t make the rules.

Oh yeah, let's talk about how much of a muddy character Will is. I know the fandom is used to seeing him as the "sun" only for the reason that he is blond lol, but if we look at his actions and character... hell, this guy really bothers me: he constantly manipulates others, including Nico (when he tries to hide the prophecy from him, when he stops everyone in the room with a scream, when he suppresses Clarissa's emotions, when—). do you see how he makes everything around comfortable for himself? have you noticed how stingy he really is in showing emotions? and the fact that he never makes mistakes and all his actions are so mechanized and clearly verified like a robot? the only exception is the end of the BoO, when Will behaved all the time wrong, first embarrassed by Nico's remark (this can hardly be imagined looking at their relationship now), then begging Octavian not to kill himself, and then completely forgot about it (which would never have happened in reality). and... we still don't know anything about him. just his full name, a tattoo on his chest and the fact that he's probably a Star Wars fan. isn't that a hell of a lot for someone who was one of the main characters in the book?

Nico is surrounded by darkness throughout his whole life. It is chased away by someone who SHINES. Who RADIATES.

Will is obviously the someone, but people forget the SUN is a STAR TOO. He has been surrounded by darkness TOO. The sun is too bright to look at though!

YET TOGETHER, they SHINE. The sun that used to be too bright is now bearable and surrounded by others in the same darkness the covered the star, all because we got a change in PERSPECTIVE.

So Will spends every moment with Nico like it's his last, and I mean memorizing the dude and just engraving him into his memory (cuz he's his happy pill) because. In one of those prophetic dreams, in those little glimpses, he sees Nico escaping Tartarus, but it's without a certain blonde wearing flipflops.*

Oh so when Nico di Angelo gets a crush on the male protagonist after knowing him for only a short time but falls in love with him despite them being seperated for a whole year and shows up at his bedroom to talk to him because they're friends who're supposed to save the world together and does questionable things but without ill-intentions due to his abusive dad and gets character development from them and the fandom makes nonstop jokes for years about the protag being upset and jealous over him not liking him anymore and now has switched to saying Nico has a thing for blondes because of the show adaption,he's a childhood icon and super relatable and 'gender' and the best gay guy rep ever but when Gwen Stacy does literally the same thing and has a single ooc moment of jealousy and posessiveness over another female character who she hasn't actually treated badly herself and has yet to have a defining relathionship with her in canon since there's still a third movie for us to see it,she's one of the worst written characters ever and anti-feminist and 'racist' and dosen't count as trans girl rep🤨?
