urban fantasy is at its very best when its about a man who is Just Some Guy TM who gets dragged into supernatural shenanigans beyond his control. like listen buddy this guy works at burger king or some shit, this is way beyond his paygrade and he does not want to be here At All. his biggest strength is his midwesterner “don’t ask don’t tell” attitude about the supernatural. he wants absolutely nothing to do with being a hero, fuck it, he just wants to be normal but instead he’s fighting cthulu in a walmart parking lot.

"The sun is setting. I really don't think this is a good idea."
"The sooner we find it, the sooner this will be over."
"I'm not going to let you steal it from me!"

"So, I'm not exactly sure which way. I know it was generally in this direction, but everything looks different in the dark."

I’ve been rereading Wilde Life by Pascelle Lepas and loving it, and I noticed how easily recreatable the house would probably be in the sims (which I’ve just recently gotten into), so thanks so much to @lepas for the webcomic and the sims inspiration!
Although not everything is a perfect match swatch-wise, and the kitchen layout took a few goes (so it might look a bit different in some of my pictures), I think it’s pretty close to the house in the comic!!
And lastly the three sims! (Sylvia is behind the couch so it looks like she’s floating lol)

Two of the webcomics I read (Wilde Life by Pascalle Lepas and Aurora by Red) update on a MWF schedule. I typically check them one after the other, which is great and all but the emotional whiplash from the genre shifts can be a lot sometimes. Aurora's on chapter one of a new arc and characters are having some downtime and discussing the stuff of the last arc, good emotional bonding and character moments. Nice friendship moments. Wilde Life however. Is a supernatural adventure/horror comic. and we're at the horror part of the chapter. So this morning I went from "OH NO OH NO OH NO" to "aww look they're talking this is so sweet!" in like 5 minutes.
