So the response to Part One of my Sad Steddie Scenario was overwhelming in the best way? Like, y’all. You said the nicest things. I read and squealed over everyone’s comments. Thank you so much for all the responses, reblogs, and likes. As one person said, I’m kissing you all platonically on the mouth right now (or high fiving you or smiling really big in your direction, pick your poison).
I never planned to write a part one the way I did (it was just going to be a quick couple paragraphs of summary, but here we are!), but so many people asked for a part two, I got motivated. Someone commented they were curious what Robin’s reaction would be, so this is some of that.
“I don’t know where I went wrong,” Steve groans, head buried in Robin’s pillow.
After he left The Hideout, he had no idea where to go. But his body decided for him and without intending to, he found himself tapping on Robin’s window. Despite the fact that he’d clearly woken her up, she opened it quickly as soon as she saw his face. “That bad, huh?”
Now he’s wallowing across her bed as she paces, awake and determined. Steve rolls to his side to watch her.
“Ok, let’s figure it out,” She says, snagging a pen and pad of paper from her desk. She opens the pad to a blank page and stands in front of him ready to take notes. Steve smiles at how Nancy-like she looks, even in an oversized Cure t-shirt and flannel pajama bottoms. Even when he’s aching, he can never be completely sad when he’s around her. “Tell me everything that happened from start to finish. Everything you said, everything they said. Any weird looks you can remember, anything.”
“Rob, I barely remember what I said to you five minutes ago.” He went over the entire night in his head a hundred times on the way over. Aside from when Eddie said...what he said, and the disaster that came after, the rest of the night was a blur.
“Ugh, Steve, can you just try? I need you and Eddie to work out. I can’t be the only adult friend you have!”
“Hey, that’s not fair! Nancy’s my friend.”
“Nancy’s your ex.”
“Tomato, to-mah-to.” Sure she’s his ex and they had that whole weird...thing in the Upside Down and now he’s with Eddie and she’s moving to Boston with Jonathan in the fall. But they still talk. Sometimes.
“Steve.”
Steve quirks his lips, but it’s resigned. “You gettin’ tired of me already?”
“No, dingus.” Robin’s face softens. She stops her pacing and sits next to him on the bed, bops him on the head with her pen. “I just want you to have people.” Steve catches her hand, smacks a kiss to her palm.
“Fine,” he sighs, scrubs a hand across his face, and tries to think. “I don’t know, I was late because of some stupid shit with my parents and that put me on edge--”
“I didn’t know your parents were home. Steve, why didn’t you call me?”
“They literally came home as I was leaving to see Eddie. There wasn’t time. Anyway, Eddie didn’t seem upset that I was late, at least after I explained. His friends gave me a little shit but I bought a round, and everything seemed fine.”
“Hmm.” Robin makes a note in her pad, then taps her pen to her lips, thinking. Her eyes widen and she points the pen at him. “You let them talk? You didn’t join in?”
“I mean, a little? But they were talking about their game the whole time, I didn’t have much to contribute.”
“Eddie talks to you about Dungeons and Dragons all the time and you always pay attention and ask him questions.”
“Yeah, But that’s because I’m talking to Eddie. I want to pay attention to everything he has to say.” Eddie gets so excited about things. He’s interested in things. Steve’s never excited. And Eddie’s the first thing he’s been interested in in a long time.
“God, Steve, you kill me.” Robin motions like she’s going to strangle him.
“What? What’d I do?”
“You’re the most emotionally unavailable guy I know and yet you come out of nowhere saying the most romantic shit.”
“Is that…bad?”
She smiles at him, mushes his forehead with her fingers. “No, it’s just very you.” She turns back to her paper, writes some more. “Now, is there anything else you remember about the conversation?”
“Not really? It was hard to hear everything they said over all the noise, so maybe I missed something. Oh.” Steve winces. “Eddie told me I called one of them the wrong name a couple of times.”
“Yikes. That’s not great.” Robin makes a face as she writes the new info down on her pad, including a few ominous underlines.
“Yeah,” he really did fuck that part up. He’s going to have to apologize to...Jeff. “But I don’t remember them correcting me, so that seems like it’s only partially my fault.”
“Yeah, maybe,” Robin says skeptically. “They definitely should have corrected you.” Steve knows she’s throwing him a bone. He should’ve remembered the guy’s name. Eddie was right, it was a douchebag thing he would have done in his other life.
Robin flips through the pad. Steve didn’t realize he’d said enough for multiple pages of notes, but it was a small pad, he guesses. “So far this doesn’t seem like you did anything to warrant a big blow up fight in the parking lot. When exactly did it start to go wrong?”
Dammit. Steve had been hoping they could figure out what happened without delving into why he lost his shit in the first place. “Well…”
Robin narrows her eyes. “Well?”
“I got mad at Eddie first. He said something that…pissed me off”--hurt him so badly he’s still struggling to fill his chest with air--“and I didn’t react well.”
“What did he say?”
“It’s not important, but it was something that I’d asked him never to say, and he promised that he wouldn’t.”
Robin gapes at him. Steve gets it. He’s told her literally everything about his life since Starcourt. He tells her about his dates, his encounters with his parents, hell, he tells her when he’s constipated. Not telling her that he’s asked his boyfriend never to say something to him is a big deal.
“Steve, what was it?”
“It was nothing, it doesn’t matter, but he’d promised, and then he said it anyway.”
Steve feels like a little kid, complaining about a broken promise. He feels like the first time his dad promised he’d be at Steve’s tee ball game, but stayed late at work for a meeting instead. But you promised you’d be there, he’d whined in his dad’s office later that night. He couldn’t stop crying even though he knew how much his dad hated it. Promises don’t mean shit, kid, unless you get ‘em in writing, his dad told him, not even looking up from his newspaper. Now pull yourself together, this is embarrassing.
Steve hadn’t believed a single promise from anyone since then. With one exception.
“Okay, so what did you do?”
“I may have snapped at his friends a couple of times, tried to drink too much, then he made us leave. But when we were in my car, he said it had been bad the whole night, and I swear, Rob, I thought I’d been doing okay up until he said what he said.”
Robin looks back over her sparse notes. “Yeah, Steve, I don’t know. Unless you remember more, I don’t think we’re solving this one.
Steve slams his head back on the pillow a couple of times. “Fuck.”
“You knoooww, you could always ask him.” Steve immediately shakes his head.
“You didn’t see him. He was pissed at first, but then it was like he was just…done. He called me ‘King Steve.’” Steve can tell her that. She knows how much he despises being called that, knows how much hearing it from Eddie would hurt. It’s easy to tell her things the hurtful things he knows she would never say. But how can he tell her what really happened without sending her on a spiral of guilt and shame? Or maybe she wouldn’t feel either of those things. Maybe she wouldn’t even recognize the behavior. He’s not sure which outcome would be worse. So best he keeps his mouth shut.
“Fuck, did he really?”
“Yeah.”
“That asshole. God, I could wring his neck for that alone,”
“Don’t do that, please. I don’t have enough cash to bail you out.”
Robin laughs, like he was hoping she would.
She studies him for a moment then reaches to turn off her nightstand lamp. She tosses the pad and pen in the vague direction of her desk and nudges Steve to the other side of the bed where he tugs her blankets over him. She slips under the covers too, snuggles into him Steve will end up on his stomach stretched away from her eventually, but they always start off with her head on his shoulder, his arm tucked under her, holding her close, sharing secrets as they fall asleep.
“What did he say to you, Steve?” Her voice is a whisper in the dark room. “What could have been so bad?”
Steve shakes his head, the burning behind his eyes starting up again now that things are dark and quiet.
“Do I need to kick his ass?” she asks, and he can feel her smile pressed to his neck.
He wants to laugh but it gets stuck in his throat. He simply pulls her tighter.

Go Slow, Speedster
Peter Maximoff x reader smut
description: word count 1.1k (I hate this but I wanted to put something out for you guys) You teach Peter that going fast isn’t always how it should be done
Tumblr media
No one but yourself would know how much of a whiney bitch Peter Maximoff was in bed. It almost seemed a bit over the top at times, but it was a 100% authentic reaction. He was a big baby, and a pillow princess.
He wanted what he wanted and he wanted it when he wanted it. The only problem was sometimes he got carried away. Cared too much for his own pleasure and left you wanting. He didn’t do it on purpose of course, and always made sure to apologize, but in the moment he got so lost in his own pleasure that he really couldn’t think of anything else.
That’s why it was your job to teach him. Patience was a virtue after all, and little Peter would soon learn the pleasures of going slow.
It had been another normal day. Well, as normal as your day could be when you were dating a mutant with superspeed. He had just finished a mission, something or another, he didn’t really care to share about his ‘job’ with you, because he found it boring. And because he found better ‘things’ to do with you.
That’s how you had ended up completely undressed with him on top of you in under a minute. Damned super speed.
Now sure, you loved seeing him like this, but sometimes you liked it slow, and that was definitely not something Peter did a lot. In every aspect of his life he was unnaturally fast, so of course it was the same in the bedroom.
You tried to pry your lips away from his own for just a second as he whined, his cock hanging heavy between the two of you as he looked at you with those sweet puppy dog eyes of his. So tempting.
“Can I put it in? Please momma-“ you felt a shiver crawl up your spine at his words. He knew exactly how to get his way. But not today. Today you wouldn’t give in.
He rutted against you impatiently, a thick trail of sticky pre-cum rubbed against your thigh. He huffed quietly as he awaited an answer.
A smile crept onto your lips and Peter, bless him, mistook this as a good thing. It was a good thing, but not for him.
Before he knew it, you had completely taken control of the situation. To be fair… you were always in control of Peter. He was wrapped around your finger.
“Go ahead baby, fuck me-“ He wasted no time in positioning his leaky cock at your entrance.
“But-“ you stopped him, reaching down and running your thumb over the thick, red cockhead that sat at your entrance.
Peter mewled, bucking up against your hand as he cried out.
“Momma-“
“Let me talk, Peter. Or you won’t get anything, okay baby boy?”
He bit his lip to keep quiet and nodded, eyes hazy and body buzzing with energy.
“You can fuck me, but, you’re going to go at my pace tonight.”
It could be worse for him. You could deny him the ability to fuck you at all. This shouldn’t be too bad, he could do this… Right?
He nodded once more, finally, finally getting to feel your tight heat envelop him. He instantly finds a pace that suits him, only to be stopped by you squeezing your thighs around his waist.
“Ah ah ah, slowwww, Mr. Quicksilver.”
He groaned softly. He always loved when you called him quicksilver and you never really knew why. Maybe he had some weird superhero fucking their fan fetish. Didn’t really matter to you, you didn’t mind calling him that so it was fine.
“Momma-“ he complained, hips still moving slowly in and out of you. So he was going to be stubborn. Well, that’s his own fault.
“You want to be a good boy for me don’t you? Then go slow. Feels so good for me when you go slow. I know it feels good for you too.”
He swallowed down a whimper as he nodded, his hips meeting yours with gentle, slow thrusts. You could tell it was killing him by the way sweat formed on his brow and his whole body shook.
Your head fell back into the pillows as you let out a quiet sigh. It felt so good to have him go slow for once. He grazed those sensitive spots inside you perfectly like this.
Peter buried his face in the crook of your neck, leaving hot, open mouthed kisses there. He was doing better than you thought, until you felt drops of what felt like water on your neck.
 He was crying.
“Baby boy, hey- what’s wrong?”
“Wanna go fast momma- please- fuck I need it please I’ll be good next time just let me- please-“ he sniffled desperately, his cock quite literally vibrating inside of you.
This had been progress, so you couldn’t be too mad. Plus he had asked so nicely.
“Okay baby, just don’t go too fast.” You chuckled, already reaching to hold onto his shoulders.
He could go fast. Like really fast. But despite how fast he could be, he never fully let himself go, because he never wanted to hurt you.
He held his head up as he got into a better position before he began to thrust back into you. His pace was absolutely brutal, and the sound of slick skin slapping against skin was absolutely sinful.
His moans were even more so. He was so vocal you’d think he was in pain. Nope. Quite the opposite.
“Fuck! Fuck fuck fuck-“ he cursed, hips now moving at almost inhuman speed against you, bed creaking as he fucked into you, his body blurred at the edges from how fast he was going.
You could tell he was close by the way the muscles in his neck began to pop out and get more prominent. Gasping, you clawed at his back as he hit a heavenly spot inside you. Maybe this wouldn’t be too bad.
“Oh fuck Peter- quicksilver- just like that, right there, I’m close.” You choked out, holding onto him for dear life as he fucked you into the mattress.
Peter seemed to double down his efforts, determined to get you there before he fell over the edge himself.
It wasn’t long before your pleasure was building until it could no more. The band in your stomach snapped as waves of pleasure washed over you, sending you into a blurry, hazed euphoria.
Peter pulled out of you, stroking himself at inhuman speed, his hand flying across his cock so fast you could barely even see his movements. He came across your chest, doubling over in pleasure. His hand fell away from his cock as the last of his release dribbled from his tip.
Maybe next time he’d learn that being slow could feel just as good.

I wanted to make this a full fic but I just can’t so here’s the Drabble
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gale was used to your teasing, you sitting in his tent, trying your best to rile him up with all your dirtiest thoughts. Most of the time, you would have the older man quite flustered, completely at your mercy to kiss and touch. It's not like Gale didn't like this, he was more than happy to let you, it was just not what he expected to happen when you started traveling together.
You lips brush against the shell of his ear, whispering to him how badly you wanted him this night. He could feel your hand rest on his thigh, slowly inching up then retreating back down toward his knee.
Instead, Gale felt a surge of confidence from your actions. His hand catches yours and firmly presses it against his bulge, not hard but firm enough to keep your there.
" thought you wiser than to poke a sleeping dragon. I ought to show you the consequences of your teasing tonight.?
It's the first time he's spoken to you like this and all your teasing suddenly leaves as your mind grows blank. It's as if any thought or retort you had had been snuffed out, extinguishes just by Gale's words. It's quiet for longer than Gale or you expect it to be.
Gale turns to look at you, terrified that he overstepped. All those negative emotions begin to seep in as he sees you, wide eyed with a bright blush covering your face, terrified he might've been too much and scared you away. Internally, he panics wanting nothing more than to run away, decide that maybe letting the absolute turn him into some mindflayer and hope the party will kill him is the best option.
That is until he feels his tadpole squirm inside his head, connecting to yours as you look at him.
Instead of feeling any negative emotions from you, he feels lust. Deep, carnal lust, mixed with the feeling of submissiveness and vulnerability.
His eyes widened in understanding, gaining some of his previous confidence back as he realize why you clammed up. No, he hadn't weirded you out, he hit the target dead on.
Your mask had slipped, completely off as you buried your face into the crook of Gale's neck. No longer did you hold the control, but Gale did. But it didn't feel weird, it felt right.
"Oh, I think you'd like that, Wouldn't you?"
He doesn't receive a verbal acknowledgement, but your head happily nods. It's cute, seeing the tough leader of this party get all submissive for him, at a complete loss for words as he tells them all the things he wants to do.
His hand encourages you to sit on his lap, which you happily follow, letting yourself do. Then he starts to pull your pants below your knees, giving himself enough room to wedge his hand in between your thighs. Softly, he starts to rub circles against your clit.
From just outside the tent, you can hear your companions who are still awake having some banter. Still gathered by the campfire as they finish the rest of their meals, Karlach loudly recounting her time serving in the hells. Gale brings his free hand up to gesture for you to stay silent and you nod.
Without warning, Gales finger slide their way inside, finding no resistance as your slick welcomes him. You have no time to brace yourself as a strangled gasp goes past your lips, louder than you would've liked it to be. A mix of embarrassment and lust over take you as you try bite back all the pleased noises you begin to make as Gale slowly works his fingers in and out of you.
Slowly you feel your inhibitions slip, as the pleasure grows. Your voice no longer staying as quiet as it needed to be. His fingers find a nice pace as you start to grind against them, feeling your orgasm start to build up.
This time, Gale does not warn you of your volume, instead his other hand reaches up to cover your mouth, stopping any noise from escaping.
"Now, I do think I told you to stay quiet. Wouldn't want our companions to overhear you." He whispers into your ear sternly. Something about the tone in his voice makes your eyes roll back in your head, grinding up into his hand.

Dead Friend Forever: Notes on the Finale
We made it! And I am... mostly, if not wholly, satisfied. That ending was both better than expected and still fell short in a few key places, and there are clear indicators of industry business interfering with the final choices (a common Thai bl problem these days).
The Good
The hallucination sequences were excellent, felt super well grounded in everything we know about these characters, and the way it connected to the real world consequences for each of them was excellent. Fluke stabbing his own eyes, Fluke and Top dying trying to fight each other while they denied their culpability to the end, Jin maiming his own hand, Phee reliving his promises to Non that he utterly failed to keep, and Tee stabbing White thinking he was Non all felt like very appropriate consequences. I am devastated that White died, but it's not an inappropriate consequence in this genre. He got involved with a bad dude and he paid for it.
New's final moments with the hallucination of Non were beautifully done. We've been building to this final breakdown for weeks, and he was too far gone to keep on living. I said last week he was already a dead man walking, and I felt that every moment in this episode. He tried his best to avenge his brother, and mostly succeeded despite Phee turning on him. Phee being the one to kill him in the end was also a good final sin for Phee and completed his descent and betrayal of the brothers over the last several weeks. I appreciated that his hallucination sequence was longer and more detailed than the rest; he had actual commitments to Non, so his betrayal was worse.
The Not So Good
A copout ending and too many loose ends. This episode was great right up until the moment they chose to air an ambiguous ending to protect a ship and attempt to please all fans. They wanted to have their cake (keep the show's main ship intact) and eat it, too (punish them as the narrative demanded). Rather than pick up the axe left on the ground last week and finish the story with Phee and Jin getting what was coming to them, they did an out of nowhere time skip, set up a happy ending for them, and then ended on an implication (but not a clear confirmation) that actually they did die back at the cabin and this last few minutes was another fantasy sequence.
This was frustrating for a few reasons: it broke the mood, tone, and rhythm of the ending, it denied the audience the catharsis of seeing Phee and Jin die, it gave a nod to a happy ending for them that didn't go at all with the narrative, and it wimped out on delivering a more definitive and fitting ending for them. Not to mention that this ending left us with no closure on Non's death, which happened offscreen, or the axe left on the ground and signaled to us as a clear threat in the penultimate episode, or who exactly was behind the mask at various moments. Even if they wanted to do this time jump and final twist, there were much better ways to do it, such as actually showing us Phee and Jin's bodies still in the woods. Leaving it this vague was a copout of a choice designed to appease fans, and it felt like one.
In The End
All that said, I read that ending as a confirmation that Phee and Jin are in fact dead back in the woods. Jin's maimed left hand was never shown in the jump forward, which would have been a crystal clear indicator that it was real. The whole tone of the sequence felt wrong and very discordant with everything that came before. And I simply can't accept that Phee would be allowed to murder New and still survive this story. It would be wrong, and the show clearly knows that, which is why they acknowledged it with that ending.
I enjoyed the experience of watching this show, and I thought the writing was truly excellent through the first nine episodes. The pacing issues and weirdness around the Phee and Jin material began in ep 10, and we can see why now that we know the ending. I wish the drama had stuck to the courage of its convictions and ended on a stronger note, but I am satisfied that most of the characters got what they deserved. It's been a pleasure clowning with you all.

pairings : neytiri x fem!reader.
warnings : avatar spoilers. avatar the way of water spoilers. fluff. reader is an annoying flea at first. platonic relationship.
Tumblr media
— Neytiri definitely did not expect to befriend you. And that's what you thought as well.
— How did you two become friends you may ask? Neytiri asked for you assistance on something in the forest, you both go hunting, you almost die. And then the day after that, you started bother Neytiri and guilt-tripping her into talking with you.
"did you remember how you almost got me killed yesterday..? Yeah, you owe me for now." You skipped towards her, catching up to her pace as she seemed to be purposely avoiding you.
The fierce na'vi turns to you with wide, warning eyes. "I did not almost get you killed. You did that to yourself, skxawng. Not my problem you're so reckless." She huffed, turning away from you as she stormed away.
— That didn't stop you from continuing to bother her, though. You tried getting her attention more, and that meant getting in her way, interrupting everything she does, and even bother her when she's hunting. Very risky, 1/10 do not recommend unless you have a death wish.
— When you almost gave up, Neytiri finally gave in and started to acknowledge your attempts to talk to her. And by attempts, I mean literal attacks out of nowhere.
"Morning Neyney!" You perked, falling from the branch of a tree beside her. Neytiri merely glances at you, and then looks up at the branch you were waiting on for her. The branch looked broken, goodness why a branch that thick would break on someone so light as you.
"..Dont call me that." She states, regaining her composure as she began picking up herbs for something.
"Do you need help?" You questioned her, leaning slightly closer as you inspected the herbs she was picking at. Neytiri keeps a stoic face present, but she nods.
"Fine. Just don't be too annoying."
— and eventually, she warmed up to you. You were pleased your annoying antics didn't scare her away, but sometimes, she does remind you to tone your personality down.
— you both were two completely different. She was fierce and independent. Meanwhile you were gentle and 'annoyingly loud', as Neytiri said. But that didn't stop you two to be some kind of friends.
— when neytiri started trusting you with important topics, she also started showing you more qualities of herself. You learned that she was somewhat shy?. Which was hard to believe because of how she was always scary and stoic.
"Aww, are you blushing?" You cooed, wiggling a finger towards her direction with a small breathy giggle. Neytiri shoots you a warning look, trying to turn her face away from your perspective.
"I'm not. Stop talking."
"The princess is shy! So cute!"
"I said stop talking. Skxawng."
"Ow! Did you have to pinch me?!"
Neytiri grins at your pained exclaim, watching as you rubbed a stinging spot on your cheek where she pinched a few seconds ago. Secretly at the back of your mind, you were slightly happy you managed to make a smile etch through the girls face.
— half a year later, on a specific day, you saw Neytiri bring a different form of Na'vi if you squinted. The boy had a more muscular form and had hair above his eyes.. weird.
— it was then you learned he was of 'demon blood.' It didn't shock you as much as the other clan members, but you were confused. Even though you were very much lost, you didn't listen to the clan leader and his wife's words.
"I don't want to teach that thing our ways." Neytiri complained to you in the na'vi language as the 'demon blood' trailed behind both of you. You only gave her a sympathetic look, completely ignoring the fact she had just called Juke Sally..? A thing.
"Mothers orders." You only responded small. Neytiri groans, glancing at the man behind you two with a complaining look.
"Why can't you do it? You're loud and confident." She says, speaking English again. The man from behind perked up at Neytiri's words as you only laughed loudly at her.
"As if!," You sighed, wiping a tear from your eye as you died down from your cackles. Neytiri glared at you, her nose scrunching, displeased.
"Yeah, sorry mama's but he's your problem for now. You can come to me if you need any help though." You state, parting ways from the two was you jumped down the hometrees thick branches, and onto your hammock.
— she did, in fact come to you when she needed help. Too many times though. It was just simple things though like getting him to get used to riding animals without falling and the na'vi language.
— she got frustrated in helping him learn your language so you assisted her instead. And also fueled more of her patience so the poor guy won't end the day with a bruised eye. That was an exaggeration.
— at first you thought having that man into your friendship wasn't so bad. Until he started luring Neytiri away from your attention. That was a big no no in his steps.
"Go away!"
Jake stares dumbfoundedly at you as you clung onto Neytiri's arm while you waved a branch at him with a furious pout. He really didn't know how to react right now, but Neytiri seemed to be finding the situation funny.
"I'm sorry..?"
"Yeah you should be. Skxawng. Shoo! It's my turn to be spending time with Tiri." You harshly waved him off, your nose scrunching as he followed you two when you tried dragging Neytiri away.
"Are you deaf, boy? I said scram." You huffed.
"Neytiri's really supposed to be teaching me more skills today, soo.. I can't afford to just 'go away' like what you just told me to." Jake states, smiling at you as a way to come of as 'im not threatening, I swear'
You only hissed at him and flipped him off.
— and then the war started, but the Na'vi won, the humans lost and was brutally slaughtered by 10 ft blue aliens, Jake was Toruk Makto, he and your best friend now has a family.
— you first met your sweet godson and you almost died of cuteness overload. You really didn't, but you were crying. You held Neteyam in every chance you get and you'd always play with him.
— when the parents are doing something like scouting the areas and all that clan leader stuff, you would be na'vi-sitting your lovely little godson and daughter. You were definitely that cool and fun aunt(even though you're the godmother)
"Look, look, (name)! I caught a butterfly!" Little lo'ak rushes to your direction as your hair was being played by baby Tuktirey, showing you his hand as a butterfly wing slightly shook out of his hand.
Kiri slightly gasped at that, her big eyes widening in surprise. "Lo'ak! Let it go, it's hurting!" She scolded, stomping her foot furiously. Lo'ak only looks at her, confused.
"But why? I'm not crushing it."
"It's hurting! (Nameee)!, Lo'ak is hurting the butterfly!" The girl yells, tugging on the cloth in your waist as she pointed at her brother. The poor boy probably saw his life flash before his eyes when his sister did that. Oh he wouldn't dare ruin his image when it comes to you.
You only chuckled, petting the girls hair with one hand since the other was holding Tuktirey up. You crouched down to their level, and you signaled Lo'ak to come closer with one hand.
"Lo'ak, show me the butterfly." You ordered, though your tone wasn't scolding and serious, it was enough to make the boy obey your orders.
He opened his hand slightly, and it revealed a yellow winged butterfly. It's wings slightly twitched, as if it was feeling if they have their wings yet. And at that, the butterfly immediately flew away.
Lo'ak pouted at the escaping butterfly. "The butterfly is fine, see Kiri?" You called out for the girl, and she pouts in guilt.
And then Lo'ak shrugged his shoulder without a care. "Meh. I'm gonna go back to playing, (name)!" He informs before running away from you three.
Kiri was about to tell you something until her elder brother showed himself, his hands slightly clasped as if he was hiding something inside it. "(Name), look what I caught!"
He ran towards you, a wide smile on his face. He opened his hands, and the same yellow butterfly from earlier was shown. This time, it didn't fly away. The insect only flutters its wings, as if it were tired of what was happening.
You and Kiri exchanged looks, and then back at the butterfly.
— these kinds of experiences ended fairly soon though when the kids grew up. But when Tuktirey turned three, you had already adopted a child for you since you were not interested in getting a mate.
— despite already having new responsibilities, you and Neytiri still act as if you're still young and 18. But as you aged, you became less annoying and loud. But you're still that fun, wild girl.
— you can vividly remember the day when Neytiri confessed you were less annoying as if it happened a few hours ago. She said it so casually, you wondered if she was joking or not.
"You know, you became less annoying as you aged."
You stopped chopping on the ingredients for dinner, staring at her with a dumbfounded look. "I'm sorry, can you repeat that?" You questioned, tilting your head.
Jake chuckles, but immediately shuts up when you shot him a glare and continued to look after Tuktirey.
"..I said you're less annoying now that you've matured." Neytiri repeats in a different form of way, and you irked.
"Are you calling me old?"
"Kind of."
"How dare you!"
"What's up with girls and not wanting to be called old?" Jake muttered to himself, munching on a snack as Tuktirey watched the scene in front of her unfold.
"You think I'm annoying!?"
"You were."
"You thought I was annoying!?"
"You act as if you didn't know what you did to get my attention. Must I remind you?" Neytiru questions, raising her nonexistent brow.
You opened your mouth to respond, but then you remembered of Tuktireys presence. "No thank you. I'd rather break a leg than embarrass myself in front of my goddaughter." You state, huffing defeatedly as you continued to chopping ingredients.
Jake leans down to his daughter's ears, whispering something. "I'll tell you what she did, tuk."
"Don't test me, Sully." You warned the man, your ear twitching when you heard his words as you pointed a knife at him.
Tuk let's out a disappointed sound, frowning when she learned she wouldn't hear embarrassing stories of her godmother when she was younger.

Ok so I watched the 4 episodes of Hazbin..
Hazbin Hotel continues to have the same problems that the pilot did and the writing continues to be terrible. There's also some subtext with episode 4 that concerns me.
1. All tell, no show. Like show us the genocides, show us the angel being killed. You were able to show Angel Dust being sexually abused no problem, so what's stopping you from showing us the genocides? I don't get it.
2. The pacing is way too fast and there's absolutely no tension for me to keep watching. There's no buildup, or a timeframe. Which is shocking considering that the Angels gave Charlie 6 months to figure shit out. 6 months is a good amount of time to get progress without feeling rushed or forced. A lot of the characters in these episodes are rushing to their character redemption arcs too early. Sir Pentious shouldn't already be on his path to redemption, because it's something he hasn't considered yet and it's just fed to us, completely unearned. He was forced into there because of Vox’s weird bullshit obsession with Alastor. I think it would make sense for Sir Pentious to bullshit his way around the Hotel around to watch Alastor for awhile or get in the way of Alastor’s evil plans until he gets caught, then he's kicked out and he's back to being an asshole for awhile towards the main cast until some serious character challenging series of events have him reconsider Charlie's proposition. Like events that have him question his purpose and his life in hell. Then there's Angel Dust. Out of all the characters, I wouldn't expect Angel Dust to come clean so soon. I would expect Angel Dust to be the slowest burn out of all of the cast, because of his abusive relationship with Valentino. Husk is whatever to me. For a bartender character, he's very boring, which is a shame. He has a history of being an overlord so why and how that doesn't affect his perspective on things, is confusing. He's basically: “Well everything sucks, so I'm just going to lie here and do nothing.” I'm surprised he's not spouting stuff about wanting freedom from Alastor and regaining his power back to Angel Dust. More on that later.
If they spent more time having Husk and Angel Dust go back and fourth, or I don't know, have all of the characters confront a situation that could be morally challenging, the cast could've been fleshed out more and their dynamics could be been set, but this show rushes through arcs, or wants to rush to the next arc.
I was expecting Alastor to be the most interesting and the most chaotic character out of the entire group because Alastor is supposed to be the enigma, but he ended being extremely fucking boring. He acts like every other demon, minus the swearing and he has more class. That's the problem with Viv’s characters. They all act the same and have the same motivations, minus Charlie and Vaggie. They all have murderous intent, bad tempers and anger issues or sadistic tendencies. That's not unique. It's just boring as fuck. Vaggie is the exception to that rule and the most interesting to me because she's only aggressive when she's being protective of Charlies feelings, otherwise she's blunt and tells everyone else to piss off. What I'm saying is, there is no character contrast that's strong enough to make me interested. No contrasting motivations or beliefs. Everyone thinks nothing matters and they should do whatever the fuck they want because it's hell. Absolute bordem. Uuuughh, it's so boring..
3. Charlie is extremely insufferable. Like there's having good intentions with bleeding hearts on your sleeves, and then there's causing chaos because you're a absolute moron. Charlie is painfully stupid and naive, and it's not a surprise that Charlie's stupidity made Angel Dust's situation worse. Charlie saying it's mean to exert her power is cringe as fuck. Why is it mean? What is the point then? It seems like the only way to get around hell is to be an asshole, otherwise you get run over like Charlie. If you're nice, well you're a naive idiot. That's how it comes off to me with Charlie. Also, with her background as royalty, you think she would use that to benefit her cause, but instead she chooses to be a stupid doormat. If Charlie was assertive, which means not being a complete doormat that lacks intelligence and makes everything worse for everyone else, but not being an asshole, I think I would like her more. She's also a massive hyprocrite. She forces her cause down peoples throats like a tyrant and wonders why nobody is buying into her shit. Again. I wouldn't have an issue with this flaw of hers if it wasn't so extreme and in my face. There's no nuance or subtlety with her approach. Charlie is drawing literal rainbows and crying her eyes out, like bitch calm down. She reminds me of Judy Hops but if the optimism and naivety were cranked up 1000% and lobotomized. Judy Hops works because while she's optimistic a bit naive and has pure intentions, she's not stupid. She catches on to Nic’s bullshit. That's what makes her likeable. Charlie is completely stupid. She blindly says yes to everything, even when it's not good for her cause. She has no boundaries and it pisses me off that she preaches that to Angel Dust when she doesn't consider HIS boundaries.
5. EPISODE 4- so thank God it doesn't show too much SA. No, the problems with episode 4 is much worse. Angel Dust is trapped in a situation where he has to sell his body for Valentino’s porn films or risk rpe and death. Angel Dust makes it clear that he doesn't want Charlie involved with his job. Charlie being the dumbass bitch, decides to violate that boundary and WOW- she made it worse for Angel Dust. Much much worse. If she was smart, she would have listened and taken the persuasion route with Angel Dust. Get him to crack open about what's going on. Ever heard of having suspicions? Charlie could have suspected sexual abuse and took a careful and compassionate route to get Angel Dust to open up. She could've seen the signs, or overheard Valentino over the phone. It would've saved Charlie’s likeability, because right now, she's just stupid to me.
Then there's Husk. Oh my god, why the fuck would you get Husk to give Angel advice? Angel Dust is a VICTIM to the situation. He didn't choose to be there and Husk literally said “well you chose this, so you got to live with it.” No, he didn't. Angel Dust literally says he didn't ask. Husk is saying it's Angel's fault that he got himself into an abusive SA contract. Husks circumstances is completely different because he chose to have a deal with Alastor for more power. Angel Dust probably had a deal to escape something but got dealt a worse hand. Husk go die. I hate him. Charlie should have been the one to console Angel Dust and give him hope. Husk could have the motivation to get free from his own contract from Alastor and emphasised the desire to be free from his own shitty situation, which could at least empower Angel Dust to find a way out of his situation. Are we going to get this? Nope. Probably not, because Vivizepop doesn't have the prowess to write meaningful shit like that. It's also a fucking great message to SA victims. Oh you're in a situation that you can't escape from? Well it's your fault and you should live with the pain from your abuse. Fuck finding a way out of it. I guess.
I hate this show already..

Just watched the new helluva episode and..ugh okay opinions under the cut.
Some people are saying this episode is better than the others of season 2. And while visually it’s stunning and not as directly insulting as some of the others, I think this episode is one of the best examples of how these writers don’t understand pacing, comedic timing, or creating a coherent plot. The cuts between locations happen way too fast, some scenes feel like they were written under a minute just to add fluff (like the Moxxie hat fight, Blitz talking with the woman in the waiting room and the entire joke once again just being a character saying curse words or insults multiple times in a sentence, camera crews conveniently being at the hospital to see Stolas hurt for some reason.) Also god Stella. At least when they made her a one-dimensional boring villain she was competent at being one. Now she just looks like a whiny idiot so they could have her brother be there for no reason.
Speaking of which, that was a damn terrible introduction to Andrealphus. Unless your following updates about the show on Twitter, you don’t know who the fuck that is, why he’s here or what his connection to either Stella or Stolas is until now, there’s only been one passing mention she even had a brother before this. He’s just suddenly there with no proper introduction, and then Striker just appears now to kidnap Stolas in front of tons of other people (I guess him trying to kill Stolas with the angelic weapon hidden in the shadows didn’t matter that much after all) and take him back to an underground lair he has for some reason. He also brings up the classist system and Stolas’s bigotry but it doesn’t matter because he hurt the poor uwu prince baby 🙄 I swear it feels like this show is AI generated at this point, or at the very least the writers know that the pretty animation and shipping fuel will keep diehard fans around so they don’t actually have to make anything tightly written and can just do whatever random hodgepodge of scenes and dialogue they like. Which whatever its clear this show is just “the sex joke” show most of the time, but don’t then try to tell me this is some masterclass of writing and character development when the entire climax of Stolas and Blitz’s relationship problems at Ozzie’s was addresses ENTIRELY OFFSCREEN THROUGH TEXT MESSAGES. Even if you ship Stolas and Blitz, how the hell can you accept that? That’s the sloppiest way they could have handled that, I don’t even like this show and I feel disrespected lmao.
And just the way they tried to make us “feel” for their relationship this episode. Why the hell would Blitz be so shocked Stolas could get hurt, you literally fought Striker before because he was two seconds away from killing Stolas instantly otherwise?? You were hired to be his bodyguard in one episode! Like yeah maybe actually seeing it happen is causing the reality of it to sink in for Blitz, but everything we’ve been shown so far INCLUDING IN THIS EPISODE shows how much he does not care that much about Stolas and at best has a mild acceptance of him (at least outside of seeing stars which everybody’s already talked about how weird that entire thing was). I literally have no idea why we are suppose to be rooting for these two to get together at this point. It’s just watching uwu Stolas get hurt over and over again so we can pity the guy and wonder why Blitz wont love him boohoo 🙄 it’s annoying and not fun to watch. Also this might be more of a nitpick, but did anyone else think characters looked weirdly off model a lot in this episode? Like yeah the animation was impressive at some points during the action scenes but during regular dialogue it looked like it was done by a completely different studio than the other episodes, especially with Stella, Andrealphus, Millie, and Moxxie. Not sure what that’s about or if I’m just imagining it.

Previous chapter: Afterglow
Was it a leap for Y/N to get to the conclusion that humans used as the butterflies' cows? She'd been debriefed about previous missions that had gone down before she'd joined and had noted that the butterflies kept trying to take over mammals that are commonly known to lactate. Their food supply had been cut off, and they desperately needed another. They'd tried actual cows.
Yaks. Goats. Buffaloes. Camels. They'd even attempted a reindeer. Yet, it didn't have the desired response. Those animals could be milked, yes, but it was regular milk and not the amber goo that they needed to survive. So, they were incompatible. Butterflies had greater access to humans. They were literally using humans as meat puppets. Why not use it to their advantage? Why not make them compatible?
Y/N was unravelling in her mind as she paced around their hotel room aimlessly, mumbling incoherent things under her breath, thinking about everything that she had learned in recent days. Adrian was sitting opposite her, looking completely clueless.
"What am I missing here?" she cried out exasperatedly, throwing her hands into the air and dropping them onto her hips in frustration. "How? How are they changing us? Is it in the food? The drink?"
"Could be the weird gross stuff we have to drink every day."
Her attention snapped towards him as she gaped, completely in awe by his statement, "Seriously, how are you so good at this? You're amazing." He shrugged casually as if he'd done nothing special. But she saw the way his lips curled up just at the corners, as if he was happy to earn her praise.
"Milkweed! How did I not see that? Milkweed is a poison that caterpillars eat so when they turn into a butterfly their wings turn orange. Obviously, there is something else mixed in with it, but maybe when we drink it in large amounts, it turns our milk into that amber stuff."
Adrian stared at her open mouthed. There were so many theories flying around in his head that he didn't even have time to comprehend them all before she spoke again.
"Okay, okay... things are coming together. These perverts are so much weirder than we thought, aren't they?" she sighed. Adrian nodded his agreement, though confused about a lot of stuff that he knew that was important, but still, he was supportive. "We don't have any proof of this. This is just a lot of speculation and gut feelings so far."
"I could not swallow the poison and we could put it in, like, a tub or a plastic cup or a shoe, I don't know. Then, John could do tests on it, or send it away for some science nerds - that would probably be better - and they can figure out what it is," he posed, scratching his head and furrowing his brows. "Or... I could kill everyone?"
It wasn't the best idea in the world. But it was the only one they had. Later on that day, they'd try it out. And it went well for the first minute. Adrian held the milkweed in the side of his cheek like a hamster, but as soon as he went to say something, he forgot that it was there and spat it all over Y/N's face. She gasped in shock and wiped her face clean with the back of her hand as they started to laugh uncontrollably.
"Thanks babe," she said sarcastically as she shook her head and laughed harder.
"Yeah, sorry," he smiled sheepishly, wiping the rest of it away with his sleeve. "Guess that didn't work."
"We will explain our theory to everyone tomorrow and try again."
Just as Y/N said that, Sparrow made an announcement. "Hello everyone! It's unfortunate but the trips into the inner city tomorrow are cancelled because something has gone wrong with a few of the cars - I haven't got the foggiest about cars so I don't actually know what but I've been told that they are not in working order - and the weather report indicates that it may rain," he declared in a slightly disappointed voice.
The Bardots shared a glance. Obviously, that wasn't the reason why the outings were closed. They were aware of that. They'd have to wait until the following Wednesday to get their team up to speed.
"We'll resume it next week, not to worry. You'll soon be able to shop to your heart's desire and experience all of what Dubai has to offer."
Everyone else returned to their drinking and dancing and socialising, completely content with this arrangement. They'd expected a few grumbles and complaints to be heard from their fellow vacationers about having to stay behind, but they weren't prepared for the brainless acceptance they were seeing.
"We can't be the first to go back to our rooms, okay? Just be calm and casual," Y/N instructed in a low tone. Her fingers tightened around her glass as she looked through the crowd, her eyes sweeping across the room and waiting for a few couples to peel off from the group and leave.
"Wanna dance? That would be a normal thing to do, yeah?" Adrian whispered in her ear, placing his hands on her waist. His hands lingered there for a moment before squidging on her hips playfully so she'd cracked a smile and took his initiative.
And so, they found themselves dancing with each other yet again. They swayed to the music, keeping their bodies pressed close, as they tried to enjoy the moment without any worries of the impending alien takeover hanging above their heads.
"Can we do this when we get back to, you know, the 'real' world?" he asked softly, his eyes staring intently into hers as he searched for approval. "It's like long hugging. I like it. It's comfortable but in a dancy upbeat kind of way," he added with a small shrug of his shoulders and caused her to chuckle at that.
"Yeah, we can do this when we get back," she replied, nodding her head slowly to show her sincerity. His lips stretched upwards in a broad grin before he leaned in and kissed her briefly, just a brush of his lips against hers before pulling away and resting his cheek on the top of her head.
When 2 or 3 of the other couples finally gave up socialising and left the marquee, they disentangled and retreated back to their room. As soon as they got through the door, Adrian got to his knees right in front of Y/N. He guided her foot onto his thigh and unclipped the clasp of her heels before slipping them off. His thumb brushed over her ankle and he pressed a kiss to her knee as he placed the shoe onto the carpet beside him, never taking his gaze off of her. He did the same with the other shoe.
Then he got to his feet and moved around the room like he hadn't just done something incredibly hot and sweet while Y/N watched him with a blush growing steadily on her cheeks. He had a habit of doing stuff like that. Stuff that he did to help her out - even just a little bit, even just taking her shoes off for her - without acknowledging that he'd done anything.
And she loved it. More than anything. It was cute.
Thanks to today, it was probably going to be a while before her brain stopped whirring and allowed her to sleep, no matter how tired she was.
"C'mere," she cooed, "C'mere, champ."
He came, of course, and stood before her, his eyes going buggy as her fingers hooked around his belt loops and pulled him close. Y/N brought her hand to the back of Adrian's neck and tugged him down as she pressed her lips against his firmly, almost feverishly. The kiss deepened instantly as they began moving languidly across the room in the general direction of the bed.
Their movements were both slow and languid; as if they were trying to make sure their lips were never leaving each other. "Want you to fuck me," she murmured seductively against his mouth as her hand wandered along his chest and began to undo the buttons on his shirt.
"You do?"
Once his shirt was open, her fingers moved to his belt to unbuckle it, undressing him. Her lips never stopped roaming his neck as she worked his trousers open and dropped them on the floor beside his discarded shirt.
"Yeah, is that okay with you?"
"So okay. So, so okay."
Y/N held her hair out of the way as he reached around to unzip her dress, pushing it down her body gently until it was off completely, then she settled down against the pillows on the bed and waited for him to crawl over to her.
"Hi," he smiled, looming over her with a soft look on his face and his eyes half lidded. Y/N rolled her eyes, unable to contain the smirk forming on her face at his adorable nature. She sat up on her elbows to be tall enough to smooch him, though it soon became difficult to kiss when she was panting breathlessly against his lips thanks to how deftly his hand went into her underwear.
The squelching sound of wetness was loud and unmistakable in the mostly silent room, making Adrian chuckle at how obscene it felt. "We could've been doing this for months," he said, attaching his lips to her neck. "Imagine that, without Emilia messing things up, I could've been worshipping you for weeks. Every night, every single one of those times that I came to see you after patrol just so I could get a one more look at your pretty face before I turned in for the night... We could've been getting it on, baby. Could've kept it a secret from your sister."
"You could've kept a secret from Emilia?"
"Nope. Would've tried, though."
"She's gonna kick our asses," Y/N laughed, her hand tangling in the hair at the nape of his neck.
"Probably. Don't care, though. You're worth it."
Adrian leaned down and kissed her softly as he slipped his hands under her thighs, lifting them so he could slot between her legs. He was quick to pull his boxers down and slip inside of her, groaning loudly as he found himself filling her up completely. She moaned in reply as she gripped a handful of the sheets with her one hand, the other gripping his shoulder and holding herself steady as they began to rock into each other with a rhythm that only intensified as he continued.
Obviously, they'd had sex before.
Yesterday.
But that had been in order to fix his fuckup, this was purely because they wanted to. There was no explanation needed and there would be none. Just pure pleasure and ecstasy. They were lost in a world of nothingness - that place where time itself stood still and everything around them was drowned out by bliss - that was filled just by them.
This was the Bardots. This was where they belonged. With each other.
They collapsed against the pillows, sweaty and out of breath and utterly content. The only sound remaining in the room was that of their heavy breathing and their own heartbeat pounding against their ears. After a few minutes passed, Y/N shifted her head so she could rest her cheek against Adrian's chest.
She listened to his heartbeat as his palm moved up and down her spine soothingly, tracing lazy circles on her skin before bringing the gentlest of fingertips across the scar on her back. "You never did finish your story about this," he thought out loud as he traced the knife wound.
"Do you wanna know?"
"Only if you want me to know. If you don't feel ready to talk about it, then that's cool too."
Overcome with tenderness, she peppered his shoulder and neck with kisses and caresses before turning her head so she could look up at him. She lifted herself and rested her folded arms on his pecs before speaking, "Jack and I were on the same beat: The Creeper. He'd always wanted to be an investigative journalist - that's what he went to school for - and when we caught the same trail, we thought it would be best if we put our brains together."
"That's a smart idea," Adrian agreed, his thumb brushing along her cheekbone.
"That's what I thought too. Maybe I wasn't smart enough to figure it out, or maybe I was blinded cause we were sleeping together - "
"Hmmm...?" he interrupted, not really meaning to tease her, only to see her smile at the wordless question.
Was he a little jealous of a guy he'd never met and knew didn't have a chance with her now? Yes. Yes, he was. But that was on the back burner because he was pissed for her. This guy, this Jack Ryder had used Y/N for her body and brain, then fucking stabbed her. That's not fucking cool! You don't do that to people! You don't stick your dick in someone then stick a knife in them the next day.
That's fucked up!
"Are you going to be weird about that?"
"He's an asshole," he growled lowly. "An asshole! And you deserve better!" He lowered his voice a notch but couldn't keep his anger from leaking through. "You deserve someone who would cherish and love you. Not that fucking creep!"
Her expression softened, and she leant forward so she could press gentle kisses all over his cheek. "I have that." She cupped his face in her hands and pressed her forehead to his. "I've got you now, champ." He let his eyes drift closed as he melted under her touch and took deep breaths to calm down. "It's okay, babe. Breathe."
Eventually, his anger subsided to a dull buzz beneath his skin and his breathing returned to normal, so she carried on with her story and ran a hand through his hair as she explained, "Jack, uh, his show wasn't doing so well and he was always secretive - as long as I knew him, I didn't really know him, you know what I mean? - so, looking back, I guess, he was just keeping an eye on someone getting too close to the truth."
A pause happened, and her brows furrowed slightly, a small frown etched onto her face. "Then, I got far too close when I caught him and Yatz. They were mid-experiment, or mid transformation is probably the best way to explain it, and so I didn't blow their cover, Yatz got The Creeper to drive his razor sharp claw into my back."
"You said it was a knife?"
"I know, and I'm sorry for misleading you. It's a lot easier to say you got stabbed with a knife than your fuckbuddy's really pointy finger," she joked bitterly as she stroked his cheeks, the memory causing the pain to flare up for the first time in years and make her wince. He instantly tried his best to soothe the area, his palm gently rubbing up and down the line of her spine.
The memories resurfaced, flooding her mind like the river that washed away all feelings of safety and security. In an instant, she was back on that cold concrete floor that was damp with her own blood. The pain was hot, almost as if the Creeper's claws were coated in poison, but it wasn't intense enough that she blacked out thanks to the burn, which wasn't ideal.
Y/N had been awake and aware as the minutes ticked down. She couldn't move, couldn't think past the pain and the smell of blood and sweat, not really registering anything except the searing pain. And since she wasn't a threat in this state, Yatz and The Creeper moved at a leisurely pace to gather up their top secret documents and saunter out of their hideout.
She had no idea that she'd be bleeding out on the floor for 5 whole minutes before Jack came back. He was himself and not his beastly nightmare version, and ran to her side, phone squished between his shoulder and cheek as he called the emergency services.
If they'd been on the scene 60 seconds later, she would've been another casualty of Dr Yatz.
"I'm gonna kill that motherfucker!" Adrian cursed as he tightened his grip on his lover. "Unless you wanna do it. I'll never take your kill, I swear," he added sincerely, pressing a kiss to the crown of her head.
"I gave up on getting revenge years ago. Tell you what, whoever gets the opportunity first, takes the shot."
"Deal."
With that out in the open, Adrian felt the need to share something that he was hiding. Well, not necessarily hiding. If he knew the question he wanted her to ask, he would've answered in a heartbeat.
"My family was hit off the road by a drunk driver when I was a kid. Mom and dad were killed in the accident, my brother died in the ambulance, and I... I should've too. But, I've got this healing shit going on, you know? So, I survived and ended up living with my nana," he commented lightly, trying to brush off his emotions, "When I found out who the guy was, I, uh, killed him. I was 17. I don't regret it."
It felt strange to finally tell somebody about that part of his life after so many years keeping it under wraps.
"And I don't think you'll regret killing Ryder. Or Yatz. They had it fucking coming, that's what I think."
"Maybe you're right," Y/N replied. "I had a hunch you were a nana's boy. The knitting was a dead giveaway."
After everything, she was finally tired. The exhaustion of yesterday and the eventfulness of today had caught up with her. She let her head rest on his chest, wrapping him up in such a tight hug that he felt like he was being lovingly held captive. He didn't mind that. He wanted to be her captive for all eternity, if that was her wish.
As she felt herself drifting off, Y/N was sure to say, "I love you. Nighty night, champ." She smiled lazily to herself as she felt his lips press against her forehead and then fell asleep.
He whispered, "I'm going to kill them for hurting you, baby" into her hair. He kissed her hairline one last time before drifting off to sleep himself, letting the comfort of her touch and the sound of her soft snores lull him to sleep.
They stayed as inconspicuous as possible for days, waiting for Wednesday to come around so they could get their team's input. And after a handful of attempts, they'd finally managed to swipe some milkweed when Y/N pretended to need the bathroom whilst holding it in her mouth. She spat it out into a travel sided conditioner bottle and hid it in her bra.
It was safe to say that the rest of the 11th Street Kids were disturbed. It made sense, though. The butterflies couldn't find a food supply so they were making one. From humans. The very race that had taken away their food supply. It was ironic, really.
Adebayo began cautiously, "I hate to ask this, but we need to take some, uh... samples to make sure your claims are substantiated."
"Samples?" Adrian inquired.
"We need you to piss in a cup," Harcourt interrupted, speaking plainly. Emilia handed Y/N a bottle of water. "Drink up, squish."
Once samples had been taken and pots pissed in, Economos unlocked a fortified box and unpacked its contents, which were two smaller fortified boxes. Y/N expected even smaller boxes to be inside them, but, in actuality, there was a bag of silver circles that were the size of chia seeds. He got one of the gizmos between his thumb and finger, held it out to the couple, and announced what the hell they were looking out.
"These are mini forcefield implants. This is a - " He held it closer to his eye to see what marking was on it. "This is a left side one, right ones are in the other box. They go either side of your, of your, um, your orifices and, though they've not be tested for long term side effects, it is designed so the wave can come into contact with your body, but as soon as something 'other' passes it, it will disintegrate whatever that 'other' is."
Hell yeah! That ensured that no butterflies could fly up their ass and ride them like a pony. However, that wasn't the first thing on Adrian's mind. "When you say 'other', do you mean like alien stuff? What if someone had like a body part that they enjoyed and daily put in -"
"I don't want to hear this," Emilia dismissed as she walked into a back room. "I'm going to call Peace to check up on his mission."
"You two are free to keep on fucking." Adebayo made a 'bleurgh' sound but carried on. "Yeah, we know. His face says it all. Also, if your follow up question was about food, that was a problem with the initial prototype but has been ironed out now."
Adrian always looked at Y/N with those puppy love eyes but since he walked in the HQ door that afternoon, he'd been staring at her as if he was going to devour her the second he thought nobody was watching him. Y/N would be lying if she said she didn't look back at him with a similar intensity.
"Since you're so... familiar... with each other, you can attach these. Remove the black plastic and stick one - left on left, right on right - just inside the orifice." John shoved the bag with the forcefield gizmos into Y/N's hands and motioned towards the bathroom that they'd just been in to collect the samples.
Even though they'd been intimate, it still was a little awkward. Yet, it was something to laugh about. And yeah, it did protect them so it wasn't that much of a chore to install.
"Is it weird that I kinda wanna fuck you with everyone else in the other room?" Adrian flirted, his cheek still flushed thanks to what they'd just done as Y/N pulled up her trousers.
"You're lucky Meeley didn't kill you. She's become tame in recent years, I see."
"I wonder how tame she'd be if she heard me defiling her little sister."
His palm connected with her ass, the sound of the smack ringing in the quiet bathroom. Their coworkers on the other side of the door must've heard it, and that fact ensured that Adrian had a cheeky little smile on his face. Y/N rolled her eyes as she was pulled towards him, his lips meeting hers with an eagerness she couldn't help but return.
A small sigh escaped her throat as she melted against him once more, her arms wrapping around his neck while his went round her waist tightly, pulling her flush against his chest as he deepened the kiss.
"Don't push your luck," Y/N teased breathlessly once she broke apart from him. She rested her hand on his cheeks and stared at him fondly. "Or mine."
"Oh, I wouldn't dream of it."
"Mmmm, I don't believe you."
Once again, he enticed her into a kiss, and yet again, she returned it immediately, smiling against his lips as her fingers tangled themselves in his hair. Before they could get carried away, however, a loud bang on the door rang out and Emilia's voice on the other side yelled, "Y/N L/N, I need to talk to you."
"Ooooh, you're in trouble," Adrian jeered, sounding like a little schoolboy telling the teacher on one of his friends. Y/N groaned and buried her face in his shoulder as she sighed defeatedly. He was right. She was in the doghouse.
Emilia dragged her sister away as soon as she exited the bathroom, and they headed straight for the back room, which was known as 'the freak out room' by the 11th Street Kids because it was unofficially used for private conversations, spiralling, and a way to get away from each other for five minutes. It had come to the point that there was an unofficial schedule of whose turn it was in the freak out room.
"Are you fucking stupid? Wait, you don't need to answer that cause I can do it for you: yes. Yes, you're so fucking stupid!" Emilia scolded, pointing her finger directly at her sister's nose. "What were you thinking, Y/N?"
Y/N sighed, and that was an answer in itself.
"Don't say it. Don't you even think about saying shit like that!" Harcourt warned despite the fact Y/N hadn't said anything verbally. Harcourt knew, though.
Sisters have a way of communicating that goes beyond language sometimes; it isn't even telepathy or empathy - it's just knowing the person so well that you're able to predict things based on the wealth of information and experience you have with them. So, Emilia was fully aware that the 'Bardot newlyweds' was more of an actuality than they had been before the mission began. The couple were married in everything but the eyes of the law.
"I -"
Interrupting any kind of reasoning or excuse or explanation that came from Y/N's mouth, Emilia flicked her sister hard on the nose with a gaze as stern as steel. On instinct, Y/N shot her hand out to wack Harcourt, and though she hadn't intended to, her fist came into direct contact with Emila's boob.
"Tit punching? Really, Y/N?"
Emilia got the older sibling look in her eyes. The one that Y/N usually saw and ran away from, screaming for their father to step in. Before she could make it back with the other members of A.R.G.U.S., Emilia slapped her across the face and got her into a headlock. This was so infuriating. Y/N could be so infuriating. She wanted to punch her sister so hard straight in the throat that she'd be unable to flirt with men who she thought weren't good enough for her.
To get out of the hold, Y/N tilted her head downwards and bit Emilia's arm. "OWW! No biting! No fucking biting! What the fuck is wrong with you?" Emilia let her sister go immediately and rubbed her arm, feeling the sting.
Surely their teammates heard that commotion. They had to. But this was family business and they knew to not interfere.
"...He's not going to stab me."
"He could!" Emila snapped back, glaring at her. She was mad and disappointed, yes, but she genuinely didn't think that Adrian would ever intentionally hurt Y/N.
Unintentionally, on the other hand, that's a maybe.
Their breaths slowed, and the fuzzy rage feeling in their heads settled down. They both stood, facing each other as they collected themselves. When Emilia spoke, the tone in which she was speaking was much calmer than when she entered.
"You can be normal. He can't."
"I tried being normal. It sucks. And I'd prefer to be fucked up with him than suck by myself," Y/N simply responded. Her older sibling raised her eyebrows in surprise but said nothing. Emilia didn't understand why Vigilante of all people, but for the first time, she accepted the fact that this was a fact.
Adrian and Y/N were a pair, a couple, and there was nothing she could do to stop that. Trying was useless. Trying would cause Y/N distress. Trying would fracture their sibling relationship. So, Emilia finally stopped trying.
"This doesn't mean that I'm going to be nice to him."
"Are you nice to anyone?"
A laugh was shared and then, acting as if they hadn't just fought, the pair walked back into the main room to find everyone else staring at them. John's eyes wandered down to Harcourt's arm.
"Why have you got a bite mark?"
"I bit her," Y/N announced, a weird sense of pride in her voice.

ATLA Live Action Ep 1 Thoughts:
When the writers meant they wanted it to be like game of thrones, clearly they meant "we want the battles to happen in complete darkness so nobody can see what is going on," and not, you know, the sex stuff.
Idk why this never occurred to me until now but ostrich horse is chocobo.
They are clearly going for a darker, more grittier feel here, but it clashes with the attempt to keep things true to the animated origin. Like, the earth kingdom OC looks straight out of some more realistic Adult fantasy show, whereas Sozin's character design makes him look like evil Santa.
So firebenders are able to do that to bodies, which I appreciate from a fanfic perspective and also confirms what people have been theorizing about the agni kai, that Ozai put his hand on his son's face. Not sure it was necessary to see it, though. The original does a good job of horrifying us with implied violence and the adults already get it, while showing it makes it less accessible to a younger audience. This is hardly a problem unique to this show, though.
Air nomads actually riding sky bison!
I like having more background with the air nomads and Aang's actor is great but front-loading the flashbacks doesn't work great for the pacing.
One thing I do really like is the emphasis on how the war damaged the harmony of the nations in more than just a spiritual way. No one has friends from other nations now. Zuko comes seeking "someone who does not belong" with the (false) promise that no one will get hurt if everyone keeps to themselves, keeps the status quo. The air nomads are a complete anomaly in a world of division. We are introduced to Aang, Sokka, Katara, and Zuko, and all are isolated in their own way by the war at the beginning of the story.
Overall there is something just weird about the pacing. Characters keep pausing at vital moments of action to deliver exposition or meaningful monologues. It just feels off.
Zuko so desperate for "glory" that he accepts Sokka's proposal to fight one on one (nice foil to the final agni kai by the way). Then his surprise when Aang shows himself reveals that Zuko himself did not know whether he would really find the Avatar in this village he's suddenly shown up to terrorize. God, it just emphasizes how low Zuko is at this point. This is probably his first real high stakes fight and he might have killed Sokka over absolutely nothing out of a false sense that he had something to prove. It's just...sad.
The scene at the Southern Air Temple looked great and had me in tears. I actually saw some criticism of this to the effect of them "ruining Aang's arc" because he comes out of the Avatar state himself, but first of all, let's be real and admit that if mastering the Avatar State was Aang's arc, he never completed it. Second, just because he could bring himself out does not mean he can control it, and he's still letting his emotions control him which is a learning curve for handling that power, it's just that he was able to control his anger in that moment by remembering the people he loved. Which is not that different from how the scene plays out in the original, only he isn't using Katara as a crutch. Which is a good thing, actually. It's much more fitting and poignant that he thinks about Gyatso here.
I don't think there was any mention of Katara wanting to go north. She has a few lines about wanting to help more and Aang teaches her about balance so she can bend now, apparently, but where is her drive? It feels like they're attributing her accomplishments to Aang and that bothers me. Maybe it'll be mentioned in the next episode, since they haven't talked about Aang learning waterbending yet, either. But I do miss the Katara who was ready to banish herself from the village the moment she met Aang not just because it was the right thing to do, but because of her own desire for independence and autonomy.
Liked the scene between Aang and Iroh. It gives us a glimpse of an Iroh who is stuck as to what to do and so he just gives Aang the Zuko treatment by offering him tea. I'd be excited if this means we get to see more development for Iroh.

just finished the rwrb movie and although i really enjoyed it (and was kicking my feet giggling the whole time) i do have a couple of major criticisms, some of which i think aren’t really the movie’s fault because they had to fit a whole book into 2 hours, but some of which left me kind of disappointed:
-i feel slightly icky that bea and nora got their screentime SIGNIFICANTLY reduced even after june got cut entirely (which i was upset about, but did understand). i loved zahra and adored her on screen but i do think it’s very odd that she is pretty much the only major female character in this movie since bea was nonexistent and nora got permanently spirited away to pez’s bed or something sometime during the second act
-it felt like a lot of the internal conflict in alex and henry’s relationship was very unbalanced and henry heavy - alex’s neurodivergence was erased, his bi epiphany was barely even an epiphany, and him not being explicitly kicked off the campaign after ellen finds out about him and henry essentially killed his whole subplot about realising he doesn’t need to have everything achieved at thirty and deciding he wants to apply to law school instead. which wouldn’t have been terrible but on the flipside it felt weird that we didn’t see very much of henry’s family considering how much they affect and shape his fear of being outed and his feeling of being in a glass cage - e.g bea’s treatment by the media during her active addiction (which was entirely erased), the extent of the tension between him and philip. felt like henry’s pov scenes were a super wasted opportunity for that and we were mostly just being Told about all of these things
-i am not actually that mad about oscar and ellen still being together lol but i felt like in the scene with oscar smoking the cigar on the balcony they were kinda building up to there being significant strain in his and ellen’s relationship that just wasn’t explored. especially since it’s clear oscar would never be able to be president because he’s not a natural born citizen + the sacrifice of his career for ellen’s is so much bigger now that he’s first gentleman in this version
-pacing in general was a bit off but the worst offender was the fact that there was a complete time skip between the alex henry confrontation/reconciliation and the outing. so much of the tension and desperation from that outing scene comes from the fact that the risk of it happening was slowly increasing throughout the book and it felt almost inevitable (the elevator cctv being leaked, henry having to fake date june) and honestly making it so abrupt weirdly reduced a lot of its impact for me
-similarly i actually completely understand why the richards plot / rafael luna plot was cut (i suspect republican election interference hits a bit too close to home after 2020) but my god was miguel a lame fucking villain and him being queer and hispanic erased a lot of the original commentary about racism and homophobia that the richards plot lent itself to. like in general this movie was a lot lighter than the book which is fine! but for a movie where the main subplot is a presidential election So Much of the political themes were heavily neutered or cut to the point that it seemed like the pressure on henry and alex’s relationship was disproportionately coming from henry’s side when in the book it was more balanced
again on the whole i really really loved this movie and i knew going in that certain changed were going to be made. and i hope more movies get made like it! these r just my Thots and i may change my mind when i rewatch it with my friend tomorrow

Roblox doors seek x reader? Gender neutral preferably. Maybe some angst if you willing to do that?
Seek x GN! Reader Angst
you had traversed these hallways for many months, accustoming yourself to the rigid furniture and horrifying monsters. initially, you were batshit afraid of them- any little creak and noise making you jolt. every "psst!" sending a major chill down your spine. but that was... approximately five months ago, maybe? you did keep track, but eventually lost hope, as you failed to find an exit for THIS LONG.
befriending the monsters wasn't exactly what you would call your relationship with them. more-so them tolerating you, and you respecting them out of fear. after all, they could just come after you any time they wanted to, they didn't need to wait five months to do so. the monsters had just grown neutral in your presence and accepted the fact you were there.
however, an interesting specimen was Seek, a man which you called "goop monster" for giggles. you'd notice him taking a liking to you quite fast, probably around your fourth encounter. he had much more of an interest in watching you move around the hotel rather than actually attempting to brutally dismember you. it was a nice change of pace, really.
seek would come into close proximity of you, often reaching out for your touch a little bit. you froze out of fear, but now you've come to realize he's just a sweet little guy who's absolutely curious about humans. he had no intentions of killing you, at least you thought. you trusted seek with your whole heart, and he knew that.
eventually, the time came where you two shared a hug. and then a kiss. which became rather frequent actually. you had goop covering you but the moment was too sweet to actually make you care about that. after all, it was pretty easy to wash off
he was your comfort, your light in the horrors of the hotel. you weren't sure about your safety being guaranteed but seek sure made you feel as if you were... home. he completed you, as weird as that sounds
you had begun to wander, calling out for your... boyfriend? you think. he certainly acted like it. the eyes normally covering the wall didn't seem to show either. which was a little odd. but you weren't too quick to be skeptical, as he was a monster, and was probably busy too. doing whatever... monsters do.
however, suspecting you've been travelling for more than an hour, the gut-feeling rising in your stomach did not make you want to continue. seek shouldn't be gone for this long- he normally wasn't. this wasn't normal. you were scared.
"seek? seek, hello-?" you didn't notice the tall, dark figure looming over you. he was sweating immensely with slime, just barely missing your shaking frame. "seek?" you whimper out, just a little above a whisper. taking a few steps forward, a giant hand singularly grabbed your neck, pulling you into its damp body.
you instantly knew by the texture it was seek, alarmed by his hostility. your smaller hands reach up to grab his own, weakly attempting to pry them off of your neck. screaming and pleading for help would only damage your vocal cords, given they were... currently being strangled.
you'd like to think a million thoughts ran through your head, questioning why this was happening, but it was totally blank. just a white slate. and maybe that's because you were literally dying, a weak little mouse in the hand of your boyfriend-turned-killer.
seek stared down at you with no remorse, no deep meaning in his eyes. they didn't even shine, either. he showed nothing toward you; he almost seemed disgusted. what went wrong? did you do something?
that would never be answered as your vision comes to a blur, your throat feeling crushed like an empty can. seek roughly threw you onto the ground, done with you. you could hear his footsteps faintly walking away, and you knew he didn't look back at you once. but that didn't matter- you were dead.

***Y/n's Pov***
"AHHH!" You screamed as loud as you could out of frustration. "THIS ISN'T FAIR! I mean, She CHEATED ON HIM for FU*K SAKE!"
Your eyes began to tear up as you paced back and forth. You and Debbie were outside. Debbie was sitting on a swing with a sad expression as she listened to you vent.
"Like I'm fu*king pregnant WITH HIS CHILD, and he STILL leaves ME FOR HERRRR-hic! HE CHEATS ON ME WITH HERRR-sniff! I was always there for HIM! I always loved him! SO WHY...hic- why." You started crying badly by the end. All Debbie could do was hug you as you started hiccupping. "Why-hic- can't I be good enough for him?"

***Carl's Pov***
I didn't realize Y/n and Debbie had left until I sat down. I would have sat with them, but I wanted to know more about this situation. I know it sounds plain and simple, but I feel like there's more to this... issue. There has to be...
"Oh yeah. I almost forgot to tell you; my dad wants to talk to you after school."
"What? Why!"
"My dad knows I'm carrying."
WHAT SHE TOLD HIM! OH, GOD, IM DEAD!!!
"He wants to have a 'family meeting'." She quoted family meeting as if it was going to be civil! "He's going to pick us both up after school."

***Debbie's Pov***
It was the end of the school day. As I was about to walk home, I heard a cop car siren blaring. I turned around in towards the direction of the noise only to find a crazy cop car driving off the road... He parked on the curb.
I ran up closer to see what was going on.
"WHERE THE HE*L IS-" The cop slammed his car door. "CARL GALLAGHER!"
I should have known...
Then Dominique ran up to him. "Daddy! You can't do that! You could have killed someone!"
"No one's hurt." He said. "Not yet, at least. Now, where's Carl?"
"You scared him off." She said.
At that point, the conversation started boring me, but it did make me wonder why Carl has been acting all weird now.

Ice Cream Makes A Great Apology (Rory Culkin) Pt. 3
Tumblr media
Part 1 , Part 2
Pairing: Rory Culkin x Fem!!Reader
Warnings: None just profanities
You and Rory have been dating for almost 2 years now things are going really good for you guys. Destiny and Jack are also doing well together, It is very close to their anniversary. Jack asks you and Rory to help him plan something special for Destiny. But Rory starts acting weird in the midst of it all.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“She’s going to fucking kill me if this date isn’t fucking perfect guys, I don’t know what the fuck to do.” Jack yells, pacing back in forth. Jack called Rory and I over because he was panicking and didn’t know what to do for Destiny for their anniversary. “Just relax Jack she’ll love anything you do for her, because she loves you as long as you tried for her.” I say, trying to calm him down. “Oh fuck that, if it isn’t perfect she’ll rip his fucking head off and you know it.” Rory says, trying to make Jack panic even more. “Shut up Rory no she won’t” I say, slightly punching him in his arm as a warning. “I mean I know it’s the thought that counts but I want everything to be perfect for her. She’s the best thing that has ever happened to me and I want to give her the best anniversary ever.” Jack says, still pacing back and forth. “You said that last year.” Rory says, rolling his eyes at Jacks panicked state. “Rory why are you being so bitter?” I ask, he doesn’t reply just sits back in his seat.
Jack and I spent the almost the whole night planning their date out. The location, the transportation, everything. Rory didn’t help much but after Jack and I finished making the last reservation it was time to go home. During the car ride back to my apartment the silence is loud between us, the only thing keeping it from being completely silent is the low faint singing of the person on the radio. I can’t help but notice that it isn’t the comfortable silence that we are used to. It is the awkward secret keeping silence. Rory does this whenever he is keeping something or is scared to tell me what he is thinking about. I didn’t like it at all.
we make it to my house, and before I could even ask if he wanted to stay the night he talks first. “Well, goodnight I'll see you tomorrow” he says, as if he is trying to quickly get rid of me. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it so I got out of the car with a quick goodbye and goodnight making my way to the door of my apartment building.
As soon as I get into my apartment I call Destiny to tell her about how he was acting. “So what I’m hearing is he wants to get dumped.” She says, I love Destiny but in some situations she is not the best person to go to for advice. “I’m not going to dump him, I just want to know what’s going on with him. Has Jack ever done this to you before?” I ask hoping she can help even a little bit. “Ummmmmm no, he’s usually pretty good with talking to me about stuff that bothers him.” She says “Oh, well maybe he was just tired it has been a long night.” I reply “Yeah that’s probably it, don’t worry yourself about it too much, okay, I’ll talk to you tomorrow it’s getting late.” she says “Okay bye thanks for the talk.” I reply. After we hang up I can’t help but think about Rory. Did I do something or say something wrong? Did he do something wrong? That’s all I could think about until all the worrying tired me out and put me to sleep.
The next day wasn’t any better, he was being really distant. But tonight was Destiny and Jack’s anniversary date, and Jack really wanted us to help him. So I’ll just talk to him after.
——————————————————————————————————————————
I make it to the park where Rory and I are helping Jack set up the date. He plans to recreate their first date. Well their official first date , not the one where he hit her in the face and bought her ice cream. For their official first date he took her on picnic and then bought her ice cream.
I walk toward the two men basket in hand. I helped with some of the food since Jack couldn’t find people to do certain things. “Hey y/n” Jack says, giving me a side hug trying not to knock the heavy basket out of my hands. “Hey Jack” I reply. I look over to Rory as he is trying get the blanket to stay down I give him a slight smile at his struggle. He hasn’t seen me yet so I decided to make my presence known. “Hey Rory” I say, walking toward him, after jack takes the basket from my grasp. “Hey” he say’s getting up to give me a hug. He pulls away quickly and goes back to blanket duty without another word. Weird.
——————————————————————————————————————————
We finish the set up and leave Jack to wait for Destiny. Rory and I wanted to see her reaction so we sat in my car and watched. Hey they did it to us so why can’t we. After Destiny shows up and they exchange their hugs, kisses, and I love yous. Including Destiny literally jumping on Jack from how happy she was. We decided to leave and give them their space. Plus I couldn’t handle his weird attitude anymore. Rory rode to the park with Jack so I ended up having to give him a ride home. The ride was just as awkward as the other night, but I just tried to ignore it.
I pull into his drive way and he gathers his things. “Bye Rory” I say, leaning against the center console waiting for my goodbye kiss. “Bye y/n” he says, completely ignoring my kiss as he gets out of the car. My face drops. ARE YOU FUCK KIDDING ME, FUCK NO. I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE. I quickly put the car in park and turn it of flinging the drivers side door open. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me Rory” I say, walking up to him. “What’s your fucking problem, you’ve been acting weird for the last three night. Did I do something wrong? Do you not want to be with me anymore? What is it Rory, because I am sick and tired of you treating me like this. I stuck it out because I didn’t want to bother you but I’m done.” I continue, finally getting to let all of my frustration out.
He stares at me for a little while after, and doesn’t speak a word. As I’m about to let him have it once again he pulls me into a hug. “I’m sorry y/n, I should’ve just told you this before, but I was jealous and I didn’t want to ruin their moment.” He says, face buried into my neck. “What do you mean you were jealous?” I ask, confusion written on my face. “I was jealous of Destiny and Jack. Their bond and relationship is so strong and they love each other so much and they’re so outspoken about it, I just thought that since we were so different from them, we weren’t really in love.” He replies. “ Rory, we don’t have to be outspoken about our love to know that we are in love. We have been together for almost two years. I love you with all my heart. I might not tell the whole world like Destiny and Jack, but I will continue to tell you, because that’s all that matters.” I say tears beginning to stream down my face. “I love you so much, I’m so sorry for being a dick to you, I shouldn’t have taken it out on you I should’ve just told you how I felt.” He replies. “Yeah you should’ve” I say pulling him into a kiss.

Our Flag Means Death S2 Spoilers!
Something people doesn't seem to realize, is that pacing has a key impact to a story. Yes, the tale you want to tell can be the best someone has ever come up with, but if your pacing of it is awful, it pulls the whole story down with it. To rushed pacing? It loses meaning and impact, because there's no time to become attached. To slow paced? It becomes boring and uninteresting, finishing the book, show or movie feels more like a task than actual fun.
The first 4 episodes of season 2 of OFMD were awesome. The pacing was perfect, we had enough time to register what was happening and to sort out our emotions. I was a bit thrown off by ep 5. Because, while still good paced, you can start the see the problems because of the missing 2 eps ( for example the skipped fight, instead choosing to tell, not show. )-
Then episode 6 and 7 happened. And oh boi, I wanted to drop the show, only my love for it keeping me going.
I know that it isn't David Jenkins and the production team's fault, since the 2 episodes got cut, giving us the total of 8. But I can't excuse the decision to cram the plot of 10 eps into 8. If you have so little time left, why don't just cut some 'unimportant' storypoints?
Like Ned Lowe, he was introduced and died in the same episode. His purpose was to give GentleBeard development I know, that still doesn't give him enough importance to let him stay in the shortened version. Just like the second break-up from GentleBeard we got in ep 7.
Instead we got very out-of-character characters, Stede for example. I can see why he acts the way he does in ep 7. It would make sense, had he more time to have proper character development! Instead he feels weird, plus the very very uncomfortable second-hand embarrassment scenes (like the fight with Zheng). And sadly after ep 3, I couldn't feel the same chemistry GentleBeard had in S1. While there were cute scenes, like the end of ep5, I felt like something was missing to make me actually care. It's just my feelings, so not very important, but it was a bit disappointing.
The end of ep 7 gave me hope. Because it was a perfect way to introduce a villain, who's a genuine threat to our heros. And I maybe like Prince Ricky a bit to much. Then ep 8 came crushing down while drowing my love for OFMD, that made me ignore everything wrong with the second half of S2.
I like ep 8, well the first few minutes. It felt like I finally had time to see what's happening and David Jenkins didn't leave us completely clueless. ( Let's ignore the logic holes since it was is a comedy show and they were always there. ) And I was way to busy squieking like a pig of happiness to think critical.
I have many criticism points, but will only focus on one;
Izzy's death. And by god, I. Am. Pissed. Killing a character that is beloved by the fandom isn't the problem. While I love him, he's my favorite, I also love a good ol' angst. But he was in the middle of his redemption arc, and ending this with death is just such weak writing. I have nothing against killing a character off for development. Iron man for example, his whole story is about becoming a better person and jumping over his ego. And it ends just like Izzy in death. But Tony was through his arc, his death was the final, showing he has changed, showing he would do everything to save the universe and more important, the people he loves.
If Izzy died at the start of or before S2 I wouldn't complain, because it would've been perfect for him. Maybe if he died a more impactful death I wouldn't write this. But you can't make a character finally change and then destroy the meaning of it by killing him off in the fucking middle of the change. It would've had so much more impact seeing how he becomes a part of the crew he loathed not even a few weeks ago. Episode 5 did that great, while a bit fast. I like how he and Stede get along. Growing closer. It was a bit too fast paced, and I hoped for them to finally communicate, not talk. The same with Ed, I wanted him and Izzy to finally talk to eachother and not through eachother. However, giving us acutally communication while Izzy's fucking dying is not how you give impact. (And credit where credit's due; I really like that dialog, it was beautiful and the right words choosen to explain how Izzy feels)
Not to forget what a meaning it conveys. Izzy always did what he thought was right, even when it was completely wrong. But when he finally grows and begins to do actually what is right and let's go of Ed, he dies?
Still, I wouldn't say that they shouldn't have done a season 2 at all. It has great potential and I can see what they were going for. So, while it has it's problem's, it's nothing what a good fanfic can't fix. So I look forward to the amazing works that will build up on this hot mess and / or 'correct' it.
So bye, I'll go cry and give the last three episodes of S2 of OFMD, the last 20 minutes of S2 Go treatment T^T (except that GO S2 was fucking fantastic through the whole season)

It was hard to keep mistrusting Jay as Earth 2 Y/n went off at every chance to tell anyone who would listen how amazing he was. In fact, everyone used it as a reason for Y/n to finally stop being so difficult. But Y/n couldn't stop thinking about how Zoom didn't steal his speed, and it rang around in his head.
"Hate to play Devil's advocate-" Eobard began in Y/n's head.
"Untrue but continue," Y/n shot back.
Eobard' s smile was something Y/n felt rather than saw as he continued, "Look I don't trust him either, but he might have not taken your speed because it's different than Barry's. If Zoom works off of Barry's speed, he might work with the normal Speed Force. But you use the Negative Speedforce, so-"
"My powers might cancel his out," Y/n realized. "Okay but how could he know that? How could he know how my powers worked? How YOUR powers worked. He's not from the future, and if there were different speed forces wouldn't that have come up with Harry or Jay at the very least? Or Y/n, since he knows so much about Flash from Earth 2." Y/n ran his hands through his hair. Then he paused. "You know... another question: why did Zoom keep Jesse alive?"
"For bait," Eobard drawled. "I mean we already knew that."
"Yeah but bait for WHAT?" Y/n demanded. "What could Harry do that he can't do on his own? Get close to Barry. Put himself on the line. Obviously. But for what? If Zoom wanted Barry dead, he could have killed him that night he beat Barry up and dragged him around town to rub it in everyone's face. He proved he's faster than Barry, and he's faster than us. So he doesn't want to kill Barry. I mean, hell, if it was about getting his hands dirty why only send ONE Earth 2 meta human to kill Barry? Why not send a whole hoard and go with them to make sure it happened? I mean, all Barry doing is getting better and stronger and faster, pushing himself harder." He froze. "This is like when you pushed Barry to get faster so you could use his speed to go back to the future."
"Thanks for the reminder," Eobard grumbled in Y/n's head, but he sounded tired. Y/n didn't care enough to ask about it.
Y/n began pacing. "I mean it makes no sense for Zoom to want Barry to get better. Unless... I mean he took Jay's speed right?  Maybe he wants to do the same to Barry. Which would mean he has to have a reason to do it. I mean it would make sense that if he wanted Barry's speed, like you did, he would want it to be the best possible, just before Barry was good enough to beat him." Y/n let out a long breath. "This is exactly like when you were Reverse Flash. I- I feel like-" Y/n groaned. "I feel like I'm missing something. I mean, if the pattern holds then Jay is Zoom, but that's impossible.  He's here and we've seen them in two different places at the same time. Maybe they're working together? I mean, why hasn't Jay visited Y/n 2 since he's been back, if they're as close as they seem? He has excuse after excuse, and even Y/n seems weirded out by it. He expected Jay to be there at his side. It's like-" He went still again. "It's like he's a completely different person."
Eobard chuckled in Y/n's head. "Isn't that what Harrison's old friends said about me?"
Y/n began walking again, but it quickly turned into a run as he sped to where Harry and Jesse were talking. They turned at the sound of rushing air, and whatever pleasant conversation they'd been having stopped as smiles dropped when they saw Y/n's expression. "I'm sorry to bother you, but Harry I have a very urgent question."
Immediately Harry stood. He'd kept to the promise he'd made when Y/n had first woken up, and more than ever it was appreciated in this moment. "Jesse I'll be back in a second okay?" She nodded immediately and the two men went into the hallway, far out of earshot of Jesse.
Y/n turned to Harry. "Did Zoom ever contact you? Ask for you to do something in favor of Jesse being alive?" Harry seemed to hesitate, and Y/n touched his shoulder. "I will never blame a father for protecting his child. Ever. I don't care what you've done."
That seemed to ease Harry enough to say, "He wanted me to take Barry's speed. Bring it to him and slowly but surely give it to Zoom so he'd be faster." He rubbed the back of his neck. "He's obsessed with being the fastest man alive, I'm not surprised that-"
"Why aren't you surprised?" Y/n asked, dead serious.
Harry analyzed Y/n's expression. "What are you thinking?"
Y/n bit his lip, trying to organize his chaotic thoughts into a coherent sentence. "Jay said Zoom stole his speed." Harry nodded. "And Zoom proved that he's more than fast enough to take Barry down, the night he almost killed Barry. He obviously doesn't want Barry dead, because he wants his speed. And if he doesn't want Barry dead, he wants his speed, why send meta humans to kill him?" Harry's eyes began to widen. Y/n didn't stop. "I think Zoom is... training Barry, in a weird way. Making him better, stronger. So when he steals Barry's powers, they'll be as good as possible without being good enough for Barry to beat him. But- but if that's the case, why doesn't he just take them? Why does he need you to do it? I mean, if he took Jay's, why can't he just do it again?"
Harry was silent for a very long time. "We already figured out that in a lot of ways, we're different than you guys. We vibrate at a different frequency, for example. Maybe whatever Zoom did to Jay couldn't work here because of those differences. Maybe he's waiting for that perfect moment. After all, Jay and Zoom fought for two years, right? Something along that timeline." Y/n considered that, then sighed. Harry nodded in understanding. "I know you don't trust him Y/n, and after everything I've heard about Eobard Thawne, I can imagine why - especially with how more similar these situations are getting by the day. But we know Jay isn't Zoom, we've seen it with our own eyes. Not everyone trying to help you is secretly a villain."
Y/n put his hands on his hips. "Then why is Jay being so distant from Y/n 2? I mean the way Y/n talks it, they were like father and son. Jay trained Y/n to be a hero. They worked closely together. They're like Barry and Cisco and Caitlyn. If Barry had been taken, Caitlyn and Cisco would be all over him waiting for him to wake up. Everyone said that Jay almost seems to avoid talking to Y/n, or being anywhere near him. Sometimes he even does things that when I tell Y/n, he makes odd faces, or he'll tell me stories that honestly don't match our Jay. It's like they're two different people. Exactly like when Eobard Thawne became Harrison Wells."
Again, Harry nodded, taking it into serious consideration. "I see what you're thinking, but you have to be serious right now. We're facing a threat, and you're trying to prove someone we all trust is an enemy. It would destroy Caitlyn and his relationship if you pushed this, and I doubt she'd forgive you if you were wrong." Y/n began to get frustrated, and Harry held his hands up defensively. "I'm not saying don't do it, or drop it. You're no scientist, but you're incredibly clever and you see things simply, and for what they are. You have incredible insight and your gut instinct allows you to reveal some truths that Barry and Caitlyn and Cisco and I look past because we're thinking too out of the box. Sometimes things are exactly as they appear, and that goes for all of us. I'm just saying... get some proof before you make a scene out of this, okay? Some real, solid proof. Not just hunches or misaligning information. Not just a  feeling, but logical, undeniable proof. Joe and Iris will follow you on a feeling, but you need everyone to believe you, and when dealing with scientists' minds, you need proof so undeniable that you literally cannot deny it."
Y/n nodded. "You're right. Thanks Harry." Harry nodded back and they parted. Y/n left, heading next to look for Jay. He found him outside, seeming to be enjoying the nice day. Y/n had taken the day off of work today, calling in sick. Since he never did that, they allowed the last minute call out as long as he was willing to deal with double the work the next day. This also meant that Barry was at the lab with Joe, and Iris was at work. Everyone else was inside. They were alone.
As Y/n approached, Jay looked over and immediately seem to grow uncomfortable. On guard. Not necessarily in a defensive way, but more in a way that he always did when Y/n came in the room. Y/n had not made his distrust remotely secret, and it had always made Jay a little awkward. Y/n tried to look at it through a logical lens; just because he thought Jay was suspicious, him being guarded around Y/n, who was off putting and often aggressive made sense. It wasn't proof he was shady, even if it felt like it was. "Hey Y/n," Jay greeted, sighing as he spoke. He was ready for a fight. Y/n's expression was probably as readable as ever.
"Hey," Y/n greeted passively. He stopped in front of Jay, and they both grew quiet. Y/n thought back to how Y/n 2 had described their relationship, and how Harry had reacted to Y/n saving Jesse. If they really had been close, even if it was less than a father-son thing and more just like a friend thing, wouldn't Cisco have been endlessly thankful for Y/n saving Caitlyn, or wouldn't Jay at least have been like Barry was when Y/n had saved Eddie? Why did he seem to be almost... regretful? Every time it was brought up, Jay seemed to grow distant and quiet, and he seemed to fight a frown. Like he wasn't happy about it. "Have you been in to see Y/n yet? From your Earth I mean. He's been missing months, I'm sure you're relieved that he's okay. He never stops talking about how close you two are."
Jay actually smiled. "Yeah he's like my little brother." His smile seemed tight though, and Y/n wondered how to draw out of him why. "But I've been busy. He understands. He needs to rest anyway, you know? I'm just gonna let him heal and when it comes time, we can hang out when he's feeling better." He paused, then seemed to remember something. "Thank you for saving him by the way. It means a lot to me, and I owe you a lot." He smiled, patting Y/n on the chest, but he'd said it as an after thought. It felt... forced.
Y/n nodded anyway though. "Of course. I just, listen that's not why I'm really here." He donned an awkward smile. "I just... I hate to ask, because I know I haven't been the best to you, but I think Zoom is going to try and pull a Thawne and attempt to steal Barry's powers. I don't know why yet, but - anyway I was just wondering if you would maybe tell me how Zoom took your speed? I think he'll try something similar with Barry."
Jay seemed to hesitate, but then he nodded. "He stabbed me with his fingers. I think there was something attached to them, but they injected into me and drained me of the Speed Force." Y/n nodded. "You're a smart man. A full blown scientist and stuff. How do you think it works?"
Once again, Jay hesitated, this time longer. He seemed to be looking at Y/n with a look that feigned nervousness but was really just an attempt to read him. To see where he was going with this. He was suspicious, but of what? Y/n had given him a perfectly good reason to ask, and if he had nothing to hide then why be so weird about the questions? "I think he separated the speed force from my cells and extracted it. It's possible, and irreversible."
Again Y/n nodded thoughtfully. "What do you think we could do to prevent that with Barry? I mean he can just vibrate through any armor we give him. Is there nothing to stop Zoom in the end when he gets what he wants? When he's ready to strike?"
That caused Jay to raise an eyebrow. "You don't think he's trying to kill Barry?"
"No," Y/n answered immediately. "I mean if he'd really wanted to kill Barry he would have when he'd dragged Barry around a while ago. Made a whole show of how much he beat Barry, so on and so forth. I think he's fatting him up per say, like a Thanksgiving turkey, or bacon for breakfast. Which confuses me, because when he had me captured, I couldn't train anymore. In fact, I was getting weaker, so if he was going to just steal my powers and then let me die, you think he would have done it pretty quickly. Then I wouldn't have escaped and gotten Jesse and Y/n 2 out. Pretty dumb move on his part."
Jay huffed in amusement. "Bad guys think they know everything, don't they?" He shook his head, smiling. "I would say though, taking your powers would be a risk wouldn't they? Because he might take your shape shifting abilities, and those are useless to him. Or he might take Thawne full go since he's basically just energy at this point anyway."
Y/n raised an eyebrow. "Barry tell you how my powers work?"
"Caitlyn," Jay corrected.
"Makes sense," Y/n conceded. "But... Zoom wouldn't know that. I mean, he doesn't know us personally or anything, and he's only ever seen me with Thawne's speed, so you'd think he'd just assume it was mine. He has no proof otherwise."
Jay nodded at that. "I don't know then. I would say he might have been considering using you as leverage like Jesse, but he didn't have to let you keep your powers for that. Maybe it was just one of those things, right? People make mistakes. Now you're back and a lot more of our friends are safe. His loss."
"Huge loss," Y/n agreed. "Can't wait to rub it in his face next time I see him." He smiled at Jay and then turned and began walking away. "If you need me, I'll be with Y/n 2. We have a lot to talk about now that I think about it. Being on Earth 2 and so close to you and having been with Zoom all that time, he might know something important." He waved then and zoomed back to the room where Y/n 2 was. He smiled at him, and got a smile back. He sat in his usual spot, letting a breath out. "How you feeling?"
"Pretty good actually." Y/n 2 had found a safe haven on the bed, comfy and healing. "You know I was wondering why it was taking me so long to heal, and then I realized... I mean, he was using my blood. To make a sort of healing potion or whatever. He withdrew it every day, and I only realized about a month or two in what he must be doing with it. I don't know how much he has stored up, but... if I'm right we have a problem."
Y/n considered that a second. "Let's not talk about that now. Why don't you tell me more about Jay?" The other Y/n light up, immediately diving into yet another story. Y/n would think the other him was in love with Jay in any other circumstance, but it hadn't seemed like that was the case. When Y/n 2 finished his story, Y/n asked, "What do you think about Caitlyn and Jay?"
Y/n 2 considered that a moment. "I mean, if they're happy together then I'm happy for him. But... isn't he a little old for her?"
Bingo. "What do you mean? He's plenty young."
The other Y/n laughed. "I mean I know they say you're young until you're dead, but I mean he has to be old enough to be her dad, or somewhere around there at least."
"Really?" Y/n hummed. "He doesn't look it."
Y/n 2 seemed confused for a moment, but then recognized the look on Y/n's face. "You think something's up?"
"I know something's up," Y/n corrected. "And you're going to prove it. You think you can stand?"
Y/n helped Y/n 2 get better at walking for the next few days in prep for the perfect moment Y/n could carry out his plan. The moment came when a meeting was called. Everyone would be there - it was perfect.
Y/n was impatient, waiting for everyone to get back. It probably didn't help that Barry was the first one to arrive. The men sat in silence for a while until Y/n offered up, "So why isn't Patty ever here? Last I heard you were planning to tell her."
Barry chuckled humorlessly. "Yeah... then she almost got killed by the Turtle because I tried to save her, and it just reminded me that everyone close to me is constantly in danger, and I began wondering... maybe, you know, she shouldn't know."
Y/n rose an eyebrow. "Yeah, I heard that huge secrets like that really make the strongest of relationships." Barry glared at Y/n. "I'm serious, Barry. You can't think that's going to go well for long. Are you serious about this girl or not? I mean for goodness sakes, she's a cop. She's already in danger. Wouldn't she be safer if she knew what was going on? What to expect? Who to trust? All the people closest to you know your secret for a reason. You suck at keeping one."
Barry sighed. "I guess. I just-"
"Whatever excuse you're about to come up with, save it," Y/n chastised. "The only thing you have to consider, is if all of the hard things and bad days and struggles are worth it. She is always going to be in danger if you love her. As long as she's in Central City at least, whether she knows or not. At least she could have been better prepared facing Turtle, knowing his whole thing about what's dearest to you, if she knew she was that dearest thing."
Barry seemed to genuinely consider it for a moment. Then his shoulders sagged in defeat. "I hate that you're always right." Y/n grinned in victory, and Barry seemed to catch it, mirroring the expression. Y/n was struck by how attractive he was when he smiled. He light up the whole room, his eyes shining like twinkling lights. He was beautiful.
They looked away from each other at the same time.
Mercifully, that was when Cisco, Jay, Caitlyn, Harry and Jesse came in as well. They began discussing business, waiting for Joe and Iris to get back as well. Apparently there was some big plan they wanted to discuss with someone. When they were all together, and the plan to go to Earth 2 was exposed, Y/n was the first one to pipe up. "I have to go."
Cisco seemed surprised by that. "Have to? Hell, why would you even want to? Earth 2 is where Zoom is, in case you forgot. We're going to be on his turf again. You're going to be back to where you almost died."
"Yeah, but-" he paused. "Y/n's girlfriend is probably worried sick. I want her to know he's okay."
Harry scoffed. "What, as him? Don't you think explaining the whole Earth 2 thing will be a bit hard for her to wrap her head around?"
"Knowing her?" Y/n mumbled under his breath. "Not really." A few people heard him though and he smiled to himself like he had a secret. And he did. For some reason, knowing that HE got Patty in this universe sent a little thrill through him. He was happy there. He could only imagine how Patty was worried sick... but then he thought about how it had been around two years that Y/n had been missing. He wondered suddenly if she had moved on. If Y/n 2 had anything to go back to. "Honestly, she might have moved on." This he said normally, seriously. "I mostly want to see if other Y/n has anything to go back to when he's well enough to go home again."
Barry nodded, speaking first. "Fair enough. You're coming with us."
"Awesome. In my stead, I think Y/n 2 needs some space to walk around." He looked at the med room and Y/n 2 took his cue beautifully, limping out right then. He looked around the room, smiling, and Y/n couldn't help but notice the way his eyes glanced over Jay without a second thought. The same way it glanced over all of the others. Without recognition, or excitement at seeing a familiar face, or even excitement at seeing one of the people he was closest to. Y/n helped his other self further into the room and looked over to see Jay frozen and awkward. He felt like he was winning. Now he was sure, beyond belief that he'd been right.
Jay Garrick was not who he said he was.
He just needed more proof, something absolutely undeniable. And he was going to get it.
Y/n leaned against the desk, smiling at everyone again. "I'll try and stay out of your way, I just hate sitting back and doing nothing all day everyday, especially when you're all out there putting your lives on the line for my world. I want to help." Everyone nodded, and it was set. Jay and Y/n met eyes, and his face darkened when he saw Y/n smirk. Y/n was onto him, and only then did the question of whether that was a good idea or not arise.
Guess it was too late to go back now.
-
Earth 2 was awesome, but impossible to pay attention to with Y/n's tunnel vision. They didn't have long and they had a lot to do. Y/n had separated from the group pretty quickly, racing through the city to try and find Earth 2 Patty.
He found her at the precinct. Y/n wasn't even remotely surprised. In fact, he chided himself for not having looked here first.
Ignoring Barry - mostly because Barry was scrambling, accompanied by Iris, and seeing her look at him like that knowing the two of them were together in this world made him sick to his stomach - Y/n watched Patty. Watched her move, stone cold and zoned out. She looked like Barry had when he had first lost Y/n, before confronting him. Now things were awkward, and there was still pain between them, but it was almost a relief to the hollowness that had echoed in Barry before. Seeing it again in Patty made Y/n's heart ache.
"You're seriously crushing on her?" Thawne snapped.
Y/n sighed. "No. Honestly, at first maybe a little. She was such a reprieve. But now she's Barry's, and they were made for each other." He chuckled a little, shaking his head. "It's just, in this world, I'm so happy. They're so in love and Y/n's only ever been a success. A hero. My mistakes are horror stories compared to his. It's just nice to think about. That in some reality at least, I'm happy." His voice cracked, eyes watering. He rose a hand to wipe his eyes to clear away the watery vision.
His mistake.
When he could see clearly again, his eyes locked with Patty's. She looked like she was about to fall to her knees. Y/n out a finger to his lips, suddenly panicked. How had she seen him? Oh god what was he going to tell her? His reaction - caution, and panic - made her hesitate. He saw the pain she was feeling though, forcing herself to stay put, so he waved her over. She made some excuse and slid away from the precinct and outside, to Y/n's side.
She approached him slowly, eyes wide and full of tears. Her hands extended out, arms limp and fingers twitching. Like she wanted to touch him but was terrified to. He couldn't torture her like this. "I'm not your Y/n," he whispered. "But I can take you to him."
She physically stuttered. "I... I have questions."
He nodded. "I know. Feel free to ask them."
So she did. They spent ten whole minutes talking, getting all the details of what happened, where Y/n 2 had gone, and who the person in front of her now was. When she was satisfied, she looked at Y/n very seriously. "Take me to him."
Y/n was impressed. She had taken everything so well. "Of course. Can I ask you one favor?" She nodded immediately. "Whatever you need."
A smile came to Y/n's face. One of victory. "Y/n was very close to Jay. I'm assuming as you two were dating and you know who he is, and you and Jay were close too?" Patty nodded immediately. "If I showed him to you, could you identify him for me?" She nodded again, this time slowly. "Thank you. Someone's impersonating Jay Garrick and I need proof so my friends will believe me."
That was enough explanation. Her loyalty extended to Jay, and it made Y/n gleeful. "No one taints Jay's name. Show me the man."
They were gone.
They appeared on Earth 1 just in time. Barry looked surprised to see Patty in Y/n's arms, especially because she was so obviously from Earth 2, but the pair blew past him and he didn't get any time to question it. They moved instead into the main control room. Y/n 2 seemed to have gotten his feet underneath him and though he moved slowly around the room, he was moving without limping or holding onto anything. An improvement.
Patty ran to Y/n immediately. The clatter of her footsteps made Y/n turn and despite his weakness, he didn't even hesitate to rush to meet her in the middle.
Barry walked in and saw the pair and froze in the doorway. "You're alive," Patty gushed, tears streaming down her face.
Y/n 2 laughed, wiping the tears off of Patty's face even as his own face was covered. "I'm so sorry Pat, I- I'm so sorry-" he was breaking down and everyone watched on with extreme confusion.
And then they kissed.
Barry looked at Y/n, who refused to look at anything or anyone. Watching Y/n 2 be happy was only a reminder that he wasn't, and watching the weird jealousy in Barry's face only made it worse. "Patty." He only called her name when the pair had parted and caught their breaths. She wiped her face, sorting herself out quickly before she turned to Y/n.
"Right. Where is he then?"
"Where is who?" Not-Jay asked, looking between the three people with growing stress.
Y/n stepped forward, smirking. His arms crossed over his chest. "For you."
Caitlin went to approach Y/n, growing angry at what she saw as childishness, but she was stopped short by Patty's voice. "Who the hell are you?"
The room was dead silent for a few beats. "What am I missing?" Y/n 2 asked.
Patty said it for Y/n. "That man is claiming to be Jay Garrick. Our Jay."
Y/n looked at the blonde who definitely was not Jay Garrick. "Excuse me?"
Everyone looked at Y/n with shock. All except Patty and Y/n 2, who were enraged, and Jay, who looked at Y/n with a look so impressed that it was almost awe. "Y/n..." he mused, turning to the one person who had known he was full of shit since day one. "How did you figure it out?" Caitlin stumbled away from him in horror. Cisco caught her, keeping her close so she didn't fall to her knees.
Y/n didn't focus on that. Instead he focused on Jay, his eyes narrowing and his mind racing. "We've had a villain like you. One who wanted to harvest Barry's speed. One who pretended to be our friend. Your just another Eobard Thawne - the only difference is how you disguised yourself. You didn't just have Y/n 2 in there because you're using his blood for healing. You had Y/n in there because he would have identified you immediately. The only reason you didn't take Patty is because she was too busy looking for Y/n to care about Jay Garrick - I guarantee it. Because even two years later, she never lost hope. She never backed down. She never gave up. She was so obsessed with it that there wasn't any hesitation to kiss him - even after two full years. Two years is a long time, and I know Patty - she focuses on something, grips it hard, and doesn't even think of letting go unless she's pried off of it."
The man pretending to be their friend sighed, long and low. "You talk to me like I AM Zoom. But you've seen us together, I can't be."
"You are," Y/n dismissed immediately. "I don't know how to prove that to you, but you're lying about who you are to get close to Barry, and I guarantee it's because you're not only working for Zoom - you are him." The man smiled, nodding to Y/n. "What's your real name?" Y/n demanded.
The man sighed once again. "You know, I think your cleverness deserves a reward." He stepped closer to Y/n and for once, no one stepped in between them or went to intervene. This was Y/n's moment, for now, everyone else was just living in it. "My name is Hunter Zolomon. I'm sure your friend, Harry, can figure it out. Until then-" he cut off, shooting forward. It was too fast for Y/n or Barry to react to. One burst of speed that carried them halfway to the Earth 2 portal, far away from the labs. Hunter was immediately on a knee though, unable to go further. His breaths were labored and he stumbled, letting go of Y/n. Both men rolled, hitting the ground hard after stopping so short from such a high speed.
When they finally stilled, Y/n pushed up to his knees. He coughed, looking over at Hunter. "Why are you doing this? Did you actually lose your powers? What do you want with Barry?"
Hunter only laughed. "You really don't understand, do you?" He stood, slowly. Y/n got to his feet much sooner but stopped short as something was jabbed into his neck. He was terrified of moving, thinking he was dead until he realized that it was a needle and not a real weapon.
Then he felt something hot pushed into his blood stream.
The needle left him and Y/n stumbled, eyes wide as he moved away. Looked toward Hunter, barely on his feet again, and Zoom. Zoom, who pulled his mask off. They... they were both Hunter. The same person. Y/n gasped as he felt his body begin to ache. But he had to get answers. "You're working with your Earth 1 counterpart?"
"No," Zoom scoffed. "I'm working with my time duplicate." He shook his head at the confusion on Y/n's face. "You'll never understand Y/n. You won't have the time." Hunter laughed as Y/n fell to his knees. Y/n looked up, trying to summon his willpower to at least look strong. Hunter seemed only amused by the effort. The Hunter in the Zoom costume approached the one out of costume, ad there seemed to be a silent understanding between them. Zoom's hand vibrated and buried deep in the other Hunter's chest. The man fell, dead, leaving Zoom standing over him with a satisfied smirk on his face. Y/n watched on in horror.
"How could you do that?" Y/n asked, breathless. He forced himself not to sag as his body began to feel heavy.
Hunter looked over, eyes snapping away from his own dead body, as if suddenly remembering that Y/n was there. Like he had gotten so lost in enjoying the sight of himself dead, he had forgotten. "Oh, him? I was going to do that anyway. He agreed of course - it was going to be a good dramatic effect. Or, it was, before you ruined it." He shrugged. "Now it has to happen because he failed me. You were too clever for us. It's really very admirable. I needed him to be better though, and he wasn't so-" He chuckled and Y/n shivered with disgust. This man... he was insane. "So hard to find good help these days," he added, tone nearing a singing sort of mumble.
"Now what?" Y/n groaned. He blinked as his vision grew blurry.
"Now..." Zoom mused. "You wait to be saved. Or you die." Y/n's arm gave out and he full lay on the ground, groaning at the impact on his shoulder. Zoom shook his head, clicking his tongue in disapproval. "Let's hope Mr. Allen will be here soon." And then he was gone, and Y/n was alone.
Seconds turned to minutes ad Y/ realized the weird echoy, hollow sound was his own breathing. It felt like hours were passing but he knew it was just that the world had started spinning. He closed his eyes to shut it all out. Some time after he did that - it felt simultaneously forever and also immediately - a hand rested on his shoulder. He tried to reach up to hit it away or scramble to safety, worried for a split second that it might be Zoom, but couldn't find the strength so he only groaned. "Y/n?"
As if through a tunnel, Y/n registered that Barry was calling his name. He almost smiled and almost cried. In his head Thawne got distant, almost muffled, but was screaming at him to do something... open his eyes maybe? Or perhaps that was Barry. Y/n couldn't tell exactly. "Barry..."
He thought he was only thought it, not managing to get the words out, but Barry reacted immediately. "Y/n, oh my god. What happened?"
"Needle," Y/n managed. "Poison?" He shrugged weakly, not sure what was going on.
That seemed to confuse Barry. "That's not possible. You have a healing ability, it would have.." His voice faded and at first Y/n thought he had blacked out but realized that Barry was just worried when he picked up again, "We'll figure it out later. Let's get you to Y/n 2 so he can heal you." They were moving again, and Y/n only had the strength to realize that Barry had picked up him, holding him bridal style. Then the world flipped and Y/n groaned, feeling queasy, and he realized that they'd come to a stop - the sudden jerk had not agreed with him. "Y/n!" Barry called. It sounded like he was at the end of a tunnel, and if he wasn't holding Y/n, Y/n would have believed he was very far away.
The voices that all began to talk were too hard to follow. He blinked, trying to focus.
Meanwhile, Barry was looking at the man he loved with true terror for the first time since Y/n had first absorbed Thawne and then disappeared for several months. To the speedster's dismay, Y/n was having a very hard time. Where the needle had been injected, Y/n's veins had begun to turn a sickly green color. Barry had laid him on the table as Y/n 2 had tried his best to figure out what was wrong. If he didn't know what the problem was, he couldn't fix it - he had to know what to do with the energy currently surging through Y/n's body.
Y/n 2 shook his head. "I... I don't know..."
Y/n whined, hand limply twitching. "Barry..." he wheezed, wincing as the air pushed through his throat. Barry surged forward, taking his hand. Y/n looked up at the brunette and smiled. Thawne was far away, and for the first time in a year he felt... at peace. "I-" No, he couldn't tell Barry he loved him. That wouldn't be fair. He just laughed, wincing again, his eyes moving away from Barry to focus on the ceiling. The world got more and more blurry, until even the one voice calling to him was just a jumbled mess of tone - no discernable language to it.  Someone was trying to get Y/n's attention; Y/n could tell by the way they pulled his face to look back at them. Y/n couldn't tell who it was though, especially as his heavy eyelids began to close.
The world slipped through his fingers, slowly letting him slip into darkness. He allowed the fall. With the darkness came relief from the pain, and quiet and peace. He couldn't deal with anything else right now, he felt too heavy. Too detached, like his consciousness was floating in an abyss. So he joined it.
