Impressions from Berlinale of Dan Stevens' performance as Mr. König in 'Cuckoo'.

DANGEROUS

CHAPTER FIVE

Summary: You are a retired spy trying to live a normal life. Some time ago, a hired assassin named Tangerine tried to kill you. In response, you sought the help of an old acquaintance who could fake any death, August Walker. However, now your false identity is in jeopardy, along with your life.

Warnings: For now, the fanfic will not contain explicit content, but it will be flagged if it does in the future. However, there will be the use of strong language and moderate violence. Readers are advised. The characters August Walker and Tangerine do not belong to me but to their respective creators. Some other characters that belong to both Mission: Impossible (2018) and Bullet Train (2022) may appear in this fanfic. Other characters who are not part of these movies will be of my own creation. I hope you enjoy the reading

chapter four

You wake up in Walker's arms, feeling the warmth of his body enveloping you. He seems to be in a deep sleep, so you decide to get up and make some coffee. Tangerine is in the kitchen already, making pancakes. He's shirtless but wearing one of your kitchen aprons. He's also wearing tight dress pants that don't seem very comfortable. When he sees you, he smiles as if he hadn't recently tried to kill you. But it reminds you of how your old relationship used to be.

"No point in smiling at me. I'm still mad about what you did. Trying to kill me and Walker wasn't enough; you had to reveal our past." You criticize him as you pour yourself some coffee and grab two pancakes already on the kitchen counter.

"I thought you'd thank me for that, considering your night ended quite nicely. But honestly, I couldn't care less about what you or the pseudo movie villain up there feel. I want my brother back, and I won't care about anyone else's life but his." Tangerine speaks harshly, but you know he's lying. He still cares about you.

"Jealousy looks so cute on you, but remember that I know when you're lying. But I agree that Lemon has to be the damn priority. Which doesn't give you the right to screw me over." You stare at Tangerine, who looks at you almost understandingly. He nods in agreement.

"Rich coming from you. The woman who abandons her husband because she can't get over her breakup with the great agent Walker. Aren't you ashamed?" Tangerine seems to be holding a lot of resentment towards you. You should have known this conversation would end like this.

"I didn't abandon you. I never did that. Let alone to be with Walker. You married me because you were desperate to prove that you weren't just a hitman. And when we became a normal couple, with normal jobs, you preferred to go back to work with Lemon. You betrayed my trust. Remember that?" You speak angrily to Tangerine. It's funny how you two seem both so familiar and unfamiliar to each other at the same time.

"What trust? You never trusted me. In fact, I always wondered why you married me. Revenge or curiosity to know what my name was?" Tangerine moves closer to you, staring deeply into your eyes. You laugh at him. But then he pulls you closer by the waist.

"Is this how you flirt now? By questioning me? Well, let me tell you, I married because I was bored. What's surprising is the fact that you're a failure even in marriage. I guess the only decent thing you did was sex." You speak, trying to hurt his ego, because in fact, he was a great husband. You just wouldn't let him know that.

"The reason we didn't work out with each other is exactly this. You lie very badly. Our marriage would be standing if I hadn't chosen my profession over you." Tangerine speaks so next thing that gives you goosebumps.

“You think you know me John but you don’t. But thank you for saying so frankly that you abandoned me." You say getting too close to your legally husband.

"I hate it when you use my name. I don't think it suits me to be honest. But we both ended our relationship because you weren't over Walker. And I chose to work with what I'm good at." Tangerine speaks and you feel like this conversation is going nowhere. So you walk away, wanting to end the subject and go back to your breakfast but Tangerine pulls you by the arm. You look at him without understanding until he kisses you. You immediately push him away not really understanding what is happening.

"You think it's that simple? You kiss me and it's all over?" You say questioning him, but still caught up in the feeling of his lips against yours.

"I think instead of discussing the past, we can enjoy all this unresolved sexual tension. Because no matter how much we want to blame the other, we both still want each other." Tangerine comes closer to you, as if to tease you. You look at him, disgusted knowing he's right.

"So let's focus on resolving your brother's situation. That way we can go back to avoiding each other and pretending we don't want each other. Because if you think you can kiss me without first apologizing for having you tried to kill me, you are wrong. You accepted the mission to kill the woman you promised in a church to love until death do you part." You say, still upset about everything you've been through involving Tangerine.

"Let's do this. Focus on rescuing my brother. Even whoever wants you and Walker sent me an invitation. Let's go to a masquerade ball, baby." Tangerine says showing you the electronic invitation and you realize that it will be a decoy. And clearly any plan that Tangerine comes up with will be a risk to your life.

Rereading The Terror

After that poll, I hope the currently 50-odd-% of you out there who haven't read the book now appreciate the great service I'm offering here. :P

Chapter Fifty-Three: Golding

Robert Golding, 22 years-old and God's Perfect Idiot, returns to camp from a hunting/leads party led by Des Voeux. He's all a dither and has a message for the Captain's ears only - they've found Silna and Tuunbaq both dead out on the ice, apparently, and want only Crozier and Goodsir to come out to see the bodies.

The lie is such a hilariously transparent one that it's almost difficult to see why Crozier even give it the time of day - I suspect it's mainly the repeated, confusing mention of various men injured in some non-specific way that makes him decide to check out the situation for himself.

Golding repeatedly refers to polynyas (isolated holes in the ice) as either "polyps" or "polyannas" during the conversation, which is just very funny to me.

He also, however, refers to Silna with an unsavoury term one might use for a female dog, and openly sniggers at the idea of her gory death, which is incredibly infuriating to me. I'm not going to include a quote here: suffice it to say Fuck You, Simmons - absolutely nae need for it. >:(

A small party of men make their way out to the supposed site of the bodies (Crozier ignored Golding's pleas that he and Goodsir should come alone, and has brought John Lane and Captain of the Hold William Goddard along too). No sooner do they arrive though, and hear what they believe to be Des Voeux's party nearby, than all hell breaks loose!

Crozier and Goodsir are seized by mutineers, knives held to their throats, while Lane and Goddard are knocked out cold, their heads bashed together by Manson who appears suddenly from the shadows. "Are they alive?" rasped Crozier... Hickey leaned over as if to inspect the men, and, with two smooth, easy moves, cut both their throats with a knife that had suddenly appeared in his hand. "Not now they ain't alive, Mr High-And-Mighty Crozier" said the caulker's mate.

A bit of back-and-forth follows between the two of them. Some of it made me laugh again in places: "What do you want, Mr Hickey?" asked Crozier... "I want you to shut the fuck up and then die slow and hard." said Hickey. But the weird levity doesn't last long as the fate of another one of Crozier's last loyal men is revealed: "What'd you always call Johnson [Tom Johnson] in private, King Crozier? Your strong right arm? Here." He tossed a naked and bloody right arm, severed just above the elbow, white bone gleaming, through the air and watched it land at Crozier's feet.

Crozier doesn't give Hickey the satisfaction of an emotional response, merely replies "You pathetic little smear of spittle. You are - and always have been - nothing." This is more than enough to incense Hickey, whose face contorts into "something non-human", his lips drawn back like a scurvy victim and eyes filled with "something beyond madness, far beyond mere hatred." He orders Manson to strangle Crozier, specifies that he should do it slowly, even, which is just delicious to me. A curiously bloodless option for despatch, as well as a deeply personal, intimate one.

Before Manson can obey though, Crozier shoots him in the stomach with a small gun he'd managed to keep hidden. He's shot several times himself in return but ultimately manages to escape out into the surrounding labyrinth of ice, leaving a trail of blood behind him. Goodsir tries his damnedest to escape too but is quickly overpowered by Golding.

Hickey is far more concerned about Manson's injury than Manson himself seemingly is, rushing over and demanding that Goodsir attend to him immediately: "Cornelius, honey." Magnus Manson's voice had the tone of an injured child. "My stomach is starting to hurt." Hickey wheeled, "Goodsir, give him something for the pain."

Hickey and Aylmore then follow the trail of Crozier's blood only to find it ends at a polynya in the ice, Crozier's coat floating in the dark water. They continue searching for him for three more hours - Hickey is determined to find Crozier even if only to have the satisfaction of shooting the Captain's waterlogged corpse.

In the meantime, Golding is assigned the grisly task of butchering Lane and Goddard's bodies. He's positively drenched in gore by the time he's done with everyone taken aback by his appearance - all except for Hickey, who laughs heartily at it before they all move on again with fresh meat and poor Goodsir in tow.

Chapter Summary: When you Konsou a Soul Reaper, they get sent back to wherever they consider their “home” to be in Soul Society. But where truly is one’s home?

Author’s Note: So originally I wanted to do a comic for Renji’s birthday, but things got busy and so it didn’t pan out. Luckily, I dug through my WIP and found this silly, little drabble that I think you all will still like! So “Happy Belated Birthday” Renji Abarai and please enjoy!

Non-canon but sort of canon adjacent? It’s inspired by this post, which discusses what might happen when you konsou/soul burial a soul reaper.

Back when the Advance Team traveled to the World of the Living, or more accurately, Ichigo’s bedroom, they had a tendency towards…minor disagreements. One such minor disagreement led to a minor scuffle which was only resolved when Matsumoto slapped the hilt of her sword upon Ikkaku’s shiny bald head and, pop, he was gone. It was all very funny in Rukia’s expert opinion.

That said, it confused Ichigo an awful lot, so she had to explain to him that a shinigami could one, be Konsou’ed or soul buried, and two, when they were, they were sent back to wherever they considered their “home” to be. Due to all that occurred after that, between the Arrancar attack, the Winter War, and eventually the Fullbringer incident, she assumed Ichigo had forgotten all about it. He had not.

Something she learned the hard way, when she decided to push him just a little too far with her teasing and the next thing she knew, pop, she was back in Soul Society.

At first she was simply pissed. However that annoyance turned immediately to embarrassment when she realized where she was. She was in the Kuchiki manor, which made sense. What made less sense was what she was doing on Renji’s lap.

Turns out Renji had come to the manor to give Byakuya, who was home sick with the flu, an update on this week's reports, and she had just interrupted their meeting…by appearing on Renji’s lap. After bowing several embarrassed apologies, she left.

What was slightly more strange, was the next place she appeared. She had been arguing with Ichigo about her way too large World of the Living manga stash (she always bought more “extremely embarrassing” manga whenever she visited or was on mission, and then proceeded to accidentally leave them in his room to be found by his family later) when, pop, there she was back in Soul Society, funnily enough, with all her manga. Rukia steamed!

“Oh, there you are! I was coming to see if you had gotten back yet, but they told me you weren’t due to return till tonight,” A familiar voice above her said. Rukia looked up and saw Renji leaning over her. She was on his lap again.

“Ah! Renji?! Where?!” She looked around frantically and saw that she had arrived in the Thirteenth Division, “HUH?!”

“Yeah, looks like you got konsou’ed again," Renji responded casually as she scrambled off his lap, "Was it Ichigo? What did you do to him this time? Force him to read all your manga?”

“No, no, he was mad because he thought my stash was getting too big and that he was running out of closet space. Also, his family kept finding it and were starting to ask him embarrassing questions, so he forced me to go back with it," she looked around again after she had stood up, "Why am I at the Thirteenth though?”

Renji shrugged while picking up one of the manga, “Who knows? While I usually get sent to my living quarters, I do end up at my division from time to time. I guess in a way, our divisions are our homes.”

“Yeah, I guess…” Rukia replied slowly as she turned towards him, “Renji, have…have you been Konsou’ed recently?”

“Hmm?” Renji asked, as he flipped through the volume, “Uh no, I don’t think so. Not since my time at the Eleventh. Why?”

“Just…Just wondering…” she said as she eyed him thoughtfully.

Finally, after the Thousand Year Blood War, it happened one more time. She and Renji were having a philosophical debate on the character Ichigo played in their movie series Maid Cop, when the next thing they knew, pop pop, they were both back in Soul Society, lying in each other’s arms.

“I guess I can’t deny it now,” Rukia murmured softly as she reached up to touch Renji’s cheek, “With you, I am home.”

“Yeah,” Renji agreed fondly as he returned her soft gaze and softer touch, “Yeah, I think it’s safe to say that checks out.”

“If you two wouldn’t mind,” Byakuya stated sternly, “Could you PLEASE GET OFF MY DESK?!”

Oop, yep, I'm the anon who asked you the Zhu Bajie and Wukong are the same person question. Thanks for telling me, I've read a shadowpeach post saying that people complains so much about this ship but doesn't say anything with the Wukong/Bajie shipping when they are also the same person and brothers (as with the 6 eared Macaque lore either), so I got confused because I've never heard of that before, so i wanted to clarify.

No worries anon! I'm glad I was able to clear that up a bit. Though tbh that seems like a kind of weird thing to get mad about because very few people are even shipping SWK & ZBJ in the first place...haha oh geez does make me wonder if that's another case of those who ship the most popular ship in a fandom being sore winners as per usual. Like come on guys even Flying Bark already rewrote like the entirety of the true and false monkey king arc, confirmed Sun Wukong sucks just as much as Macaque said he did, and undermined, destroyed, or flat-out erased almost all of the Monkey King's relationships from the og classic it seems specifically to force these monkeys to get along what tf more do you want. But my complaining about a lego show aside, it is actually kind of funny just how completely one has to go out of their way to ignore a lot of the Six-Eared Macaque's presentation in Journey to the West itself in both a narrative and a scholarly perspective to make that argument, especially in this light where even when you're taking the potential metaphorical nature of the journey into account Zhu Bajie is a very well established & pretty independent character who's there from nearly the start of the journey to the end & frequently fights alongside Sun Wukong, vs. the Six-Eared Macaque who appears in around two chapters, spends the majority of that time being an entire asshole as he tries to murder-replace the Monkey King while literally no one except the Buddha can tell them apart, and then gets bonked to death. This is certainly not the first time in the journey that shapeshifting is involved in taking on the form of one of the pilgrims as a form of trickery (see the Yellow Robe Demon taking on the form of Tang Sanzang & the Demon Bull King shapeshifting into Zhu Bajie), but from what I understand the Six Eared Macaque presents one of literature's first iterations of the "evil twin" trope. This is a monkey, after all, who literally wanted to be Sun Wukong.

Funnily enough too anon (and while I'd recommend you visit @antidotefortheawkward's blog to see more documentation about this from someone who actually knows what he's talking about), it would seem that there is a history and a general openness in China to presenting Zhu Bajie and Sun Wukong as extremely close friends and comrades, and while not my knowledge they're relationship is never shown as explicitly romantic then it can be something getting close to that. From what I understand, for example, there have been a number of retellings that have Sun Wukong & Zhu Bajie taking care of a kid together and being pretty touchy-feely. Heck even the pretty prominent Hong Kong actor Raymond Lam and his wife Carina Zhang cosplayed as the two yao for a pregnancy photoshoot! Obviously this was done in good humor, but it does seem to serve as an example of how close the monkey and the pig are often considered to be.

Tuesday Again No Problem 3/26/24

Listening

I've had Tangerine Dream's 1983 album Hyperborea on loop for the better part of a week.

It's not too distracting, and it flows very well. Lately I've been putting it on when I need to think. This album plus my noise-cancelling headphones do a pretty good job of blocking out the sound of the world for a little while.

Watching

I've been binging old episodes of Well There's Your Problem again. I guess this technically counts as listening because I put it on while I crochet, but it's a podcast with slides so I'll put it in the watching section.

Episode 61 is a favorite of mine, it's funny and I'm pretty sure no one dies in this one.

Reading

I'm still slowly getting through Ancillary Justice; I'm almost done with chapter 4. I don't have much to say other than holy shit I'm glad I wrote down a list of characters as they appear, because there was no way I would be able to remember who any of these people were otherwise.

Playing

I played a bit more Rain World with my brother the other day. We're playing the Survivor campaign and made it to Shaded Citadel. Miraculously, neither of our slugpups have died yet. They are making our lives significantly harder, though, because they're two additional mouths to feed. However neither my brother or I have the heart to abandon them, lol.

Making

I think I'm finally satisfied with my Five Pebbles plush.

I made some wires and an umbilical cable for him, and attached them to his head and back. I was trying to imitate the way he looks in-game.

If I was really ambitious I could also make the mechanical arm he hangs from, but I don't think I have enough yarn for that. I'm satisfied with him and I'm ready to move on for now, maybe the arm could be something silly to make in the future.

I also started working on Looks to the Moon!

She's just a head right now, though. Moon is going to be similar to Pebbles, but I want to try and make her cloak look tattered. I'm going to look into ways I can deliberately crochet holes into it.

Kind of related to making... I've spent the better part of the last few days spiraling into madness while trying to figure out exactly how big Rain World's iterator superstructures are. It's turning out to be a more complicated question to answer than I thought.

My initial math was a HUGE overestimate, I think. I re-thought my strategy and spent most of my evening counting pixels on in-game sprites to try and get an idea of how big iterators are in relation to real-life buildings. I think my second estimate was more believable.

I'll make a more detailed post about it later, but here's a diagram I made for fun:

These back-of-the-envelope calculations are based largely on wild assumptions, and I could be completely wrong, who knows. But iterators being about 2km tall seems right to me. I don't really have good evidence for that other than vibes... I'll probably try to come up with something more concrete when I write the actual post.

182 Days of TPN - Day 92

Chapter 92: “Fire Away”

I love how everyone is genuinely impressed (and maybe a bit scared) by Adam’s strength. Also, I know this may not be the best time to wonder about this with all the chaos of the battle going on, but did Emma or Ray never actually hear him mutter Norman’s number? Even when back at the shelter? Granted, the duo were out searching for the Seven Walls majority of the time, but still. Not even one of the other GF kids managed to catch him saying the number out loud? Eh whatever, I dunno why this thought is suddenly coming to me now of all times.

Who is the real beast here, the demon flying through the air or the young mad lad who managed to punch him all the way up there? The kids are totally speechless and ya can’t blame them. Seeing Leuvis get tossed around like a rag doll is quite the sight.

Even Leuvis is overwhelmed by Adam. Poor Palvus could’ve easily avoided this flight if the little guy just let go. Kinda funny how Violet had no idea where Adam came from or when he appeared at GP yet Leuvis figured it in just a couple minutes. Yeah Violet doesn’t know about Lambda (at least I don’t think Emma shared that specific info from the pen with everyone else yet, instead focusing on the battle preparations) but Leuvis can barely see with his blurry vision and that was enough for him to piece it together somehow. Hell, it might not even be due to Adam’s crazy strength or the Lambd mark on his chest, but the fact he’s muttering Norman’s number? And perhaps Leuvis think this is Norman instead? I dunno, I’m having many odd, pointless thoughts so far.. ain’t that fun.

Leuvis must’ve ate a cat at some point since he still managed to land on his feet after taking countless shots midair.

You know it’s a problem when you find the villains relatable.

Ah, here’s the panel of Ray reloading. And Leuvis saying “my dear” is definitely something I don’t remember?? Oh my, this dude could be such a gentleman in literally any other kind of scenario ahhaha.

A fair attempt I suppose but y’all already know how much he is relying on sound now ever since the first flash bomb! That’s how Leuvis managed to take out Pepe! Even Palvus learned from the first mistake and is shielding his own eyes!

Leuvis is so darn clever bro. All he’s doing is dodging to buy some time before his sight and wounds regenerate and yet he’s still causing the kids to slip up and remain cautious.

How he can still manage to send Adam flying into the building with so much force when he can barely see and with his arm completely busted?? Leuvis is incredible and I really should’ve kept this psycho in my top ten like I originally planned.

Favorite panel/moment:

Okay, all things considered with how beat up Leuvis currently is, it’s insane that he moved fast enough and dealt such a fatal strike to his prime target. On the flip side however, this hurts SO MUCH! AAHH our poor girl!! I was beyond speechless upon reaching this moment for the first time because I had literally no idea how Emma could recover from this. To make matters worse, I distinctly remember when I read these past few chapters one morning and said to myself, “eh, I’ll read one more before I start work,” and lo and behold, this just so happened to be the moment I had to leave off on! Probably the worst kind of cliffhanger.. I was filled with anxiety and my mind was literally racing all day until my lunch break where I could finally see if this precious girl was gonna be okay.

As terrifying and worrisome as this moment is, it’s still one I was looking forward to the most had season two been animated correctly. The shock value alone of seeing the main character be impaled would’ve definitely made all viewers, whether mange reader or anime-only, freak out (myself included. especially if they blasted her “63194” theme here!) Also, would’ve loved to hear all the panic in Ray’s scream.

Pausing halfway through reading one of your fics to pop in and say I really love your narration and character voices. It’s not common in fanfic for an author to write in a way that’s layered enough for the reader to gain their own insights and conclusions. Like I’m in the last chapter of therianthropy and there’s the stuff that happens on the same page when there’s dissonance between thoughts and actions or when Karen buys Matt the sympathy muffin and Matt’s mad that that tactic totally works, and there’s also the longer story motifs that must be so hard to tie together when you’re publishing at the same time as actively writing.

The bit that got me to stop is when teenage Matt’s at Fogwell’s. Previously we saw Fogs starting to talk about the little boxing found family and Matt’s all “oh geez I hope he doesn’t start the lecture about sacred boxing fraternity 🙄”. And on its own this was a great scene because it showcased the characterisation of Fogs, Matt and Lisa in a few short paragraphs. Fogs is real passionate about this one thing, Matt’s heard this windbag go on about it a million times and is comfortable enough to be a little bitch, and Lisa’s relaxing for the first time in a /long/ while. And it’s beautiful.

But then. BUT THEN!!!!!!! This *fucking* speech Fogs was about to launch into!!!!!! Is the very thing that made Matt feel genuinely loved for the first time since Jack died!!!!!!!! Nearly ten years!!!!!!!!! And when Matt finds this traumatised teenage soldier that needs reassurance, love and support, he takes her to the the place where that unconditional care was given to him all those years ago and arhgrgahgrhhogohrgohhhh don’t even get me started on kintsugi ok I hope u never stop creating ok ur fics make me wanna howl at the fucking moon

Hello extremely kind ask I have neglected in my ask box for far too long. Thank you for your kind words they made me extremely happy and made me feel more competent than I actually am.

The tough part about fanfiction is that everything y'all get is basically a first draft because, like you said, it's publish-as-you-go and I don't have the chance to go back and rewrite the story to be more cohesive. Like, the act of writing itself means the plot and characters are still developing, and i really rely on editing and second drafts for that in a way that's not super possible with fanfiction. Sometimes the characters just Do Things and i'm like "wha--stop that. why are you. since when do you. why didn't you do that like 100k words ago." and it gives it a very flying-by-the-seat-of-my-pants vibe from my perspective.

I am a very big fan of Recycling when it comes to my writing, and i think it makes it seem a little more put-together than it is. Like, I always have big Scenes in my head that exist from the start of the story that I know are going to make an appearance, so I just bury references to them them I need to craft the moments leading up. Or, if I don't have a scene planned and there's something missing, I tend towards trying to tie it back to something that already existed in the story, so there's a little bit more of a common line running through it. Granted, if you do this too much it seems a little kitschy, so I don't always do it, but I'm a firm believe in using what you have to the fullest extent.

If i recall correctly, Fogs' confusing Matt into staying by just sort of talking until he passed out was a Big Scene and I was just planting my chekov's guns like a deeply unqualified gardner who should have been fired a long time ago and never given access to the guns safe. I knew that I wanted Lisa being taken in by Matt to parallel his own recovery from Stick, so it was sort of low-hanging fruit to have Fogs go off on the same rant. I also kind of liked it because I think time does a lot for reframing how we think of things.

Like, when Matt first gets Fogs' speech about Ancient Sumerian Men Beating The Hell Out Of Each Other, he's half starved, half feral, and trying to fling himself back out into the hostile streets of New York because he feels safer alone than he has ever felt with other people. He passes out, wakes up with a blanket over him and Fogs asleep at his desk even when he doesn't have to be. Like you said--it's the first time in a very long time that he's felt safe.

Then, when he's in the future, it's just very casual. It's not really framed as remarkable, and Matt doesn't hold it in his mind as something that glitters. I thought it showed an enormous amount of healing for him to be so comfortable with Fogs that he didn't seem to remember that this was something that once brought him to tears.

And you're also right about Matt bringing her there--it was easy recycling in the sense that i needed to answer the question of "where would he bring this traumatized child he doesn't know how to help" and figured the answer was "probably the place that helped him."

Hating on Tokyo revengers girls part 2: Emma

-the fact that the first scene she appears in is like that makes me mad i understand that its supposed to represent teenagers trying to become adults too fast but the author did not handle that nicely because not only its a huge middle finger to a character to have their underwear be shown the first time they appear its also the fact that making her body look very adult and like its supposed to be sexy kind of undermines the message of her trying to become an adult too fast even though she's still a kid there's also the mocking of takemichi happening later which i hate of course

-in the beginning of the manga she's shown in a weird way in general like when takemichi accidentialy grabbed her boob (why??? Its not funny manga authors)

-this is more of just something i find funny but why do we have to be reminded that her and mikey are not dating and that he is not her type? First in the chapters with hina and takemichi spying on her and then once again in the chapter with her backstory (123) which editor is the weird one lol

-it makes me mad how she did not fight in the fight with moebius girl your future man is getting attacked do something! She trained at the dojo as a kid she should be able to fight at least a little hina too

-i feel like her personality is just girl and there is nothing wrong with being a stereotipically girly girl i'm not talking about that its just she almost feels like a shell of plot stuff without anything inside just....a girl

-it would be nice to see a manly girl though but i will get to that in the future if i ever do senju heheh

-she is described so much as Mikey's sister or the girl that likes Draken the little screen time she has is almost always related to those and you may say that Baji's almost entire screentime is devoted to Kazutora and Mikey but with him its more like: Kazutora killed Shinichiro here are my complex feeling about this but with Emma its more like: Mikey is my brother, i like Mikey the end

-when she died she had so much potential it felt like her story had only just started what will be her relationship with Izana, will she help Mikey etc and i don't think killing her was worth it i would have believed that Mikey had fallen into bonten darkness "only" because of Izana well of course a LOT of plot holes would appear but i can still be bitter

-her relationship with Draken was underwhelming and not explored enough and we artived at the depressing state of both of them being dead that is not satisfying at all to me

-i feel like she got explored more than hina which makes little sense

-so much critique so i will just say that i love her backstory and the way she talks about her family i love how she parallels with Izana i love her friendship with hina i love her in general

-i could say more but i'm kinda tired so yeah

Alright let's go through one at a time.

Yes! Omg her first appearance is so uncomfortable I think most people agree with that being one of the worst moments in the manga. I generally though Emma's purpose was mainly going to be fan service at first. Mainly because of her opening scene, the bit where Takemichi accidentally grabs her then when Takemichi stares downward instead of at her eyes while spying. It wasn't until I read the manga that we got to see a lot more of her character.

I actually understand why she didn't fight though, she really doesn't seem to be fighter and seems to be against fighting in general. We did briefly see her in dojo but we have no idea if she kept that up or not. I think she's like Hina with that they don't like fighting, Emma seems to think it's dumb. She also could've been in shock.

Her story does mainly revolve around Mikey and Draken but I think that makes sense here. She is only a background character who's only involved because of her connections to those two. If she was to have her own storyline I'm not really sure what they could be. It would've been nice to see more of her resolve to save Mikey though. I get that Wakui sprung it before her death to give her death more of an impact but I think we could've seen more of her and what she did to help Mikey. Like I'm sure she helped a lot after Baji's death.

Yeah I would've liked to have seen more of her with Draken too, just to build their relationship a little more. I feel like we got more hints with them, stuff for us to put the pieces together ourselves then actual shown stuff. Which isn't always a bad thing.

I do like Emma a lot my only complaint is we could've had more of her.

Rambles about the Conviction Arc Part 8

1. This is kind of off topic, but there’s a guy on Etsy who creates lifesized Dragonslayer replicas made of steel – thus they’re a pretty good guesstimate at how heavy an actual Dragonslayer would be. As it turns out, the answer is about 300lbs. Now I realize that’s almost certainly not the weight Miura had in mind while working on Berserk, but when I think about it and imagine Isidro trying to pick up and run off with a 6-foot-plus sword that weighs 300lbs this scene gets super funny. And honestly what was he going to do with it?

It's also worth noting that according to Isidro, the Dragonslayer is super sharp. So I guess Godo sharpened it while he was fixing it up.

And I do think this sequence is meant to indicate that Guts sees himself in Isidro – the closeup of him refusing to be under anyone, Guts’ reaction... he’s like a miniature pre-Hawks era Guts, and while its true that Guts in his childhood was kinda sweeter than Isidro.... it’s also true that Isidro appears to be older than Guts was when he killed Gambino, so I imagine by the time he was Isidro’s age he was pretty similar on the hostility scale.

2. I’ll say it again, I love watching Guts work. He’s like a human hurricane. More than that though, this is the beginning of his relationship with Isidro, and THAT... is interesting to me. One of the quotes that came out in the recent twitter posting rampage was Miura saying that Guts will end up being more like Griffith and his relationship with Isidro is where you stay to see that– not immediately of course. But in the end.

...yeah definitely not immediately.

This is kind of Guts’ transitional period, personalitywise – he’s starting to back down from being a mad dog and toward accepting his propensity for compassion and I use compassion lightly here because ok he does pick up Isidro but at the same time he does also toss him aside literally like a ball.

3. This is one of the biggest dialogue changes between the original and the deluxe. The Deluxe says:

An unearthly air bade me stop, and what do I find?

That’s... slightly different...

Anyway,

I wonder if Puck knew him at all. Because Elfhelm is supposed to be disconnected from time, right? Puck could have easily seen him around in his human day. That said, I think it’s more likely that he’s sensing the elven touch on Skull Knight’s armor.

Anyway enough messing around time to get serious with this set of chapters.

4. First of all, sometimes I see people kind of assuming that Godhand are just especially powerful Apostles, or even just that they are Apostle-adjacent. I can understand why – they’re created by a similar (but not identical) process, after all, but even if you missed the hints at their nature that came about during the beginning of this arc when people were receiving the revelation and Conrad started vomiting plague rats, this should go a long way toward clarifying it.

In essence, Apostles are still people – they’re physical beings, albeit people altered through the power of the Abyss. Godhand are not physical beings at all anymore – they are astral bodies, seemingly conceptual beings that are connected to [whatever field they represent ] – lust, madness, desire, whatever it is they stand for. As the hands of the Idea of Evil, they exist and don’t exist simultaneously, and everywhere. It’s kind of interesting that they aren’t technically considered gods given that they seem to work similarly to many conceptions of what a polytheistic god might look like and certainly they’re more powerful than the gods of polytheism that appear in the series.

I say its interesting, but actually I think the reason is kind of easy to extrapolate: they aren’t considered gods because they are representatives of Berserk’s monotheistic God and obviously a monotheistic God cant be served by Gods. They are, as such, more akin to angels. Which makes sense with the way the Holy See is set up to reflect Catholicism. After all, Angels have their spheres of influence as well.

6. Miura always did some pretty interesting things with Guts’ internal vision of Griffith. I mean for one thing he’s very often turned away from the “camera”, or at least faced away and looking back. Guts also often pictures him without a face – like here where his face disappears into the mask or is nothing but shadow in the second page. Miura also did that a lot just in general with Femto’s more monstrous moments. That said, it’s a repeating pattern with. For example, a few chapters ago, he was faced away from the screen on “the campfire from those days still burns in my chest.” And there’s another image waaay later where he’s facing the camera but his face is entirely shadowed and blank. And of course he consistently goes back to that image of Griffith on the horse, and he has no face there, too.

I don’t remember offhand how often Guts remembers Griffith’s face. Not. Often, as I recall.

Anyway yeah, I think it’s an expression of his mixed and highly complicated feelings – because he can’t “face” Griffith, and so in his mind Griffith doesn’t face him.

7. One of t he things that I saw on that twitter... and I do wish I’d saved it, I may go back and dig it up eventually... was a quote from Miura that basically said as things go forward and Guts clashes with the monsters and apostles and stuff, Guts looks more monstrous, and the monsters show their humanity. I think about that in these moments where he really goes full savage joy at the thought of violence, rofl. It’s one of my favorite things about Berserk as a series really, the way it blurs those lines and the reality that Guts could really become a monster – literally yes, but also figuratively by losing his humanity to his anger and the pain.

8. This whole thing is pretty interesting, for... okay a couple of reasons. I’m of course not surprised that Guts rejects the concept of causality, and his encounter with Zodd (and Zodd’s having declared that death is coming for him and can’t be escaped) certainly gives him cause to doubt its absolute nature – and more on that in a hot minute. But it’s ironic too because as it stands Guts has never done anything but end up helping causality chug along, fate-ward. Zodd was wrong that he couldn’t escape death – at least so far, who knows about later – but when he survived the Godhand were like, well idk maybe that was supposed to happen.

And maybe it was. Because obviously what ends up happening as a result is that Casca miscarries the fetus that becomes material for Griffith’s reincarnation, and Guts and Casca run headfirst into the area near the Tower of Conviction and starts drawing monsters and spirits out from with their brands which feeds into that reincarnation. So ultimately didn’t they just end up doing what the Godhand needed them to do anyway?

Also, Skull Knight kind of expected it, didn’t he? Because when he came to see Guts right after he’d left the Hawks, while he did mention the death coming for his friends, he also told Guts to stand up even with a broken sword and fight to survive. I really do wonder about that guy, you know? He seems pretty keyed into causality too but it’s hard to know how much of his predictions hinge on his having basically been Guts 1.0, 1000 years ago.

The thing is, I do think there’s a pretty good chance that Guts will end up breaking fate in some form or another, mostly because of this:

Because I’ll be honest, he totally failed to manage that during this arc but I wouldn’t be surprised if it came up again in the end.

But that comment and this:

Sure do become interesting later in the arc, huh?

Anyway!

9. Fans: Guts is so angry and mad and hateful and he hates Griffith so much.

Manga:

Sigh.

I mean I’ve gone over this a lot, but obviously Guts has a lot of complicated feelings about Griffith, but I think the main driving thing is just “yearning.” And that yearning can be satisfied in any number of ways, he just tends to choose to bury himself in the anger/violence because it’s what he knows, and what he can face.

10. ...feels kind of weird to drop over from there to Farnese and Serpico but here we are.

One thing I want to pay more attention to this time around is the evolution of Farnese’s character – her change from the inquisitor queen with a fire fetish to the much milder and more humble (and pyrophilia free???) version we have today. I do kind of remember thinking it was a little too complete a change but at the same time I also remember thinking it was fairly well done overall but we’ll see. As it stands, though, the way her faith progressively breaks down I do think is very well one. One problem with extremist belief systems of the kind Farnese displayed is... like, they’re self-reaffirming in that each belief is built atop another belief in the same set, which makes them pretty resilient overall since they don’t really rely on outside affirmation. But because of that structure, when you start taking blocks out it’s a big of a Jenga situation - take out too many and it collapses under its own weight.

Her time with Guts, experiencing things her faith did not leave room for, is tugging those bricks loose.

I also want to pay more attention to Serpico, I think. I feel like I have a fairly shaky grasp on his character and in particular whether and how much his laid back goofball act survived leaving the Holy See.

Said act makes his darker/more serious moments more interesting. He also reminds me a bit of Griffith, not in personality as such but in the way his persona shifts and surprises depending on what’s going on and who he’s speaking to. Miura himself referred to Serpico as Andre from Rose of Versailles – which you can see in his relationship with Farnese and the way he steadfastly stands by Farnese’s side and lives for her even in the face of her rejections. I kind of wonder if the closed eyes is a sneak reference to Andre’s eventual blindness.

Of course with Farnese and Serpico there’s a whole issue with their relationship ever coming to fruition, so I don’t know how well that’s going to work out for them.

11. I always enjoyed the backstory/mindtrippy segments Miura put together. This one, some of Griffith’s inner monologues, the origin of Ganishka, that kind of thing. In Farnese’s case I do think we get the foundation of both her character as it is at this point of the story and the character as she eventually develops. Because, okay...

So the implication here is that she finds the world scary, right? After seeing people burn she realizes that the world is terrifying. Then...

This somewhat ghoulish person (Farnese’s POV not reality) hands her this torch and her instinctive drive to escape the fire that frightens her ends up making her feel as though she can control the fear by commanding it – by feeding it, and becoming one with it.

So basically, what I get from that is that her entire fire-happy inquisitor persona developed as a way to deal with her fear of what the world is when you look past the civility of its surface. She ultimately gets that on lock to some degree – first her desperate attempt to hold back her fear is mistaken for divine inspiration, which gives her a feeling of power and uh horniness, I guess. Ultimately, she joins the Holy See, the very ones who set those fires – she becomes one of the terrors.

The problem is, her encounter with Guts ends up exposing the reality – she hasn’t really conquered the monsters, there are much worse things out there than some fire wielding priests or dead bodies on stakes. And it’s interesting because her response to the first thing she tries to conquer –fire and the death it brings, ends up becoming sexual so I guess it makes sense that when she’s possessed by the monsters she comes to know with Guts, she responds by becoming aggressively sexual with him. It also kind of makes sense that she ends up becoming infatuated with Guts, who is the one who keeps the darkness at bay.

Ironically. Given his personality.

Anyway, not sure that makes sense outside of my head, but it is what it is. I’ll probably adjust as I go on, because like I said I need to pay more attention to her this time through.

...and that’s the end of Deluxe V6 so I’m going to leave off here. I have no idea why but that one took me like a week and its not even long. wtf. man wtf.

Oops, I am once more in a “Behind the Scenes” mood, let’s see what there is to talk about... Well we talked about Dave Miller last timed, so let’s talk about the dark side of that coin.

For some clarity sake, I am assuming you have already read the post where I went on a tangent talking about Dave Miller. Now let’s talk about the funny rabbit man.

When Dave was finalized, there was this debate on when/if Springtrap would appear and how. After all it sorta showed that Dave finally wrangled control so how would I even get him to appear? Well that is when the Mob Boss Freddy arc began. In Chapter 10 there is a small little detail that shows Elizabeth and Dave walking past the building Freddy and his Goons were ransacking, and if you notice REAL close, you can see remnant falling from the sky.

Now, where does this land? Well it lands right on the Springtrap arm. This led to the bit with Michael and the now reawoken arm doing some hijinks for the rest of that chapter.

(This is fanart from Ooftroop btw, and it is a joke that works on multiple levels because it’s a recreation that was show to them out of context AND they stopped reading TSP at chapter 9, the chapter BEFORE this scene happens in. Only reason I am sharing this is because when else am I gonna show this in any natural context?)

But yeah, soon Armtrap hooks himself up to the one mafia robot and takes control of it, and then a new problem occurs. What is his personality like? I mean he is evil, obviously, but what kind of evil is he? If William Afton is the mad genius, and Dave Miller is the guilty aspect, what should Springtrap be?

And thankfully the Silver Eyes trilogy gave me an idea, in The Fourth Closest there is a bit where Springtrap (or well, a Springtrap illusion thing, fuck fnaf lore sometimes man) where he is singing and dancing as he mocks Jessica.

That, is beautiful. Springtrap is a killer, but he is also fucking EXTRA with it. He ain’t just gonna kill you, he is going to put on a show for no one but himself for the hell of it. And as such the pieces sorta fell together, as he is the only character that gets musical numbers in the damn comic (even in Nightmare Countdown where there are other “singers” he gets the most dynamic one as the judge/worm), much to peoples confusion.

I scare people very easily. But another thing I wanted Springtrap to be is, for lack of a better word, wrong. Like even for all the Mushroom Mutants, Soul Dozer, and Shadow Kings, something about him is different. And the most obvious example is for him to be the only one that has the sense of awareness of the 4th wall, like others may look at the “camera” in disbelief, but he takes it a step beyond and has jabs at it. Not to mention him being unique with having colored text unlike everyone else usually does.

Another thing is that, while he may be the big bad of the trio (Him, Freddy, and Baby), he had to be used correctly. He may be fun to write, but too much of a good thing can make a person sick of it. So after the first music number, he mostly takes a working in the shadows role as the story focuses on Freddy and Baby, with him only coming up here and there for a goof or gag to remind the audience that he is still there.

And then, with Baby was defeated, it was time for him to take control, and one thing I feel bad about is that I think I was a bit too vague about how he did somethings. Frankly I don’t think that there are even any good way to describe it even right now, but to put it bluntly. Springtrap had Freddy send a message to Baby, who was asked to put an emergency thing of remnant on the side incase she fails. This side remnant would then be used to temporarily give Springtrap enough juice to wiggle as a bit of Freddy’s endo wires.

And he would inch his way to someplace they wouldn’t suspect, and temporarily hijacked Lefty’s head.

And then, as we saw in Grand Return, he was able to get himself a new body.

Now, I won’t lie... Another poor writing aspect on my end, relied on ALOT of coincidences for that to work. But I will say, it did lead to the best character ever, Paradox Springtrap.

This fucker is FUN, he is evil, he is wacky, and he is overly dramatic. Everything during the Springtrap arc was a joy. There is a reason I end up constantly redrawing him, he is just a fun character to have do stuff for. Fuck I wrote a throwaway line saying he “installed the laser vision feature” cause it was funny, and then said “wait, LETS ACTUALLY HAVE HIM SHOOT LASERS OUT OF HIS EYES CAUSE THIS IS DUMB AND HILARIOUS AND AMAZING”

AND EVEN THEN HIS BULLSHIT DID NOT STOP, BECAUSE AS IT TURNS OUT HE HAD A SECRET FINAL FORM WITH THE REMNANT MONSTER HE TURNS INTO AT THE END!

And as a little treat, Remnant Springtrap has an entire thing I did that saves me the work of writing everything and gives you some more stuff to look at.

I don’t know if there is a proper term to call this type of remnant, my brain just defaults to calling it “Dark Remnant” but that is kinda dumb, meanwhile far as I can tell only kind of Remnant besides regular Remnant is “Shadow Remnant” but that is from Fnaf AR and no one cares about Fnaf AR. :V

Another thing I liked was how he was defeated, not only by having Dave throw Springtrap for a loop and do something he thought he wasn’t going to do, but also how he suffers something worse than death, I mean he’s died like what? 2-3 times already, give or take? And since one of the main gimmicks of The Springlock Paradox was the dimensional device, it only made sense that it would be the thing that sealed his fate by trapping him in a place that doesn’t exist.

And we’ll never have to worry about him ever again!

I have been saving this one up until my brain was fully at its best to ramble. My brain isn’t at its best, it’s at 50% so that’s good enough lmao.

Throwing my thoughts under the cut because it’s just me talking out my ass about my oc lol

As I draw closer to finish Sorina’s story I’ve been thinking more and more about him lately and how to start it all out - he is going to make an appearance her story as is, so his first office intro to what I’m writing will be there and helping her/Wesker with some sneaky shit. But I’m really considering starting his story at his last day of training on Rockfort Island, to which it would flash forward to where he’s at in Raccoon City and how he’s changed since being thrown into Umbrella’s personal island of hell lol.

ANY WAY ALL OF THAT TO SAY - I’m considering writing his whole thing in a way of him being at war with himself over the job, the state of his life, of the things he serves and how being a literal agent of death has taken its toll. He doesn’t hate it per-say, but it’s almost like he’s going through a midlife crisis and he’s still trying to carve out this place for himself and the sensitive sides of himself within the mess of everything. Which is funny because Hunk is the exact opposite of that - he’s more machine than man at that point and it quite literally drives Ricardo mad because he’s trying to understand how the man has become that, until the have a fateful night together and Ricardo bites more than he can chew, so to speak.

WHEN WE GET TO RE8 THOUGH - that’s going to be interesting because all of that is taking place in Matilda’s story. I’m starting out the first chapter of that with him and Hunk trampling through the snow and being held up at gun point by Matilda until a lycan attacks. At this point he’s much more sure of himself and what he needs to do, why he’s there, etc. and essentially becomes a mentor to Matilda with their new way of necromancy life and trying to help them hone that in his attempt to stop the impending apocalypse.

I really want to write a scene with him and Lady Dimitescu because I think it would be quite hilarious having his ass in her castle with Matilda. I also just think it would be funny if those two came to an agreement and he’d help lady D and the daughters by luring terrible men to their demise lmao.

I also can’t wait to write him along with Heisenberg as well, because Heisenberg is very protective of Mat (especially since he’s already saved their ass once), and know that Heisenbergs attitude can get a little fiery - it will be interesting seeing how Ricardo deescalates that and tries to get him to realize that he and Hunk are on their side.

Other facts - Ricardo is the only one who isn’t infected with mold in someway, which will come into play with the other OCs and plot when I get them all in the village. He kind of becomes the only one with a clear head *hint hint*

I’m just like really excited to write him as an older man because I can see him really leaning into his personality, which is kind and funny, but also tired of the bullshit going on and not afraid to say so lmao

gonna put out my honest thoughts about my current progress in fire emblem engage bc i need to talk about how silly this game is

i’m only at chapter 7-8 btw and i’ve already spoiled myself half of the plot

i couldn’t choose between f!alear or m!alear bc their designs were.. something. i chose f!alear for my first run since i did the “same ingame gender as irl gender” thing (and it was an entire tradition for me at some point).

didn’t even reach chapter 6 and f!alear’s design was too much for me. i liked seeing her in a ponytail tho but i was not gonne be patient enough to change her class JUST for the ponytail. like girlie ik ur the divine dragon n shit but atleast try to not get your long ass hair pulled midway in battle.

and wtf is your armor??? you have individual boob cups for what?? your entire outfit does not look an ounce comfortable and yet you still slept in that shit. the short ass skirt too?? the stocking things??? there are like 10 design atrocities and i could even name more (and that’s just on a scale of practicality)

made a new save file and chose m!alear bc i was getting tired of f!alear’s entire armor outfit. ngl i preferred playing as m!alear bc he felt a lot more comfortable playing as an mc. but his entire victorian child fit wasn’t the best but it was more practical than the boob cups.

still mad there’s no unisex mcs.

anyways the prologue was kinda funny. our ass just wakes up and suddenly the world is in shambles bc some salty ass kingdom made sombron become the second coming of jesus christ.

queen lumera only had like.. 2 seconds of screentime until the ultimate mentor/parent death trope scene bc dead parental figures are a must for fire emblem mcs (unless ur sigurd and become the dead parent)

the firene siblings appeared. albert is precious and céline is lowkey on thin ice because of that damned outfit. like maybe wear something more practical in battle other than easy hair pulling and frilly dress?? (i know i can change her class but i’m a lazy bum). im still currently trying to know my way around albert’s skill set but he’s a good unit atm.

the twins are splendid little creatures. clanne got too many mvps and is still on the mvp streak ever since i paired him with celica (i abused warp ragnarok too many times). framme is just there for moral support and actual healing support.

vander’s lvl 1 grandpa ass was actually doing decent damage comapred to lvl 6 alear. you don’t know how many times vander had to come in clutch when alear was 3 hp away from evaporating.

i paired albert w/ sigurd and clanne w/ celica. that shit was game changing. i revoked céline’s emblem privileges for no reason. i just gave celica to clanne since he technically did more damage. he is like low tier but he’s my biggest carry atm. how the turns have tabled.

i changed alcryst’s class to tireur d’élite the second i got his lvl 10 ass. i’m pretty sure he might be my strongest unit atm (lvl wise).

idk who i should pair micaiah with so i just let her stay with yunaka. i never rlly used micaiah’s abilities for healing but i only used her to widen yunaka’s range w/ magic if she needed to chip in some damage to an enemy.

i always get tired at like the 7th turn in every battle and I just abuse celica’s warp ragnarok to beat up that one enemy to win the battle. somehow clanne still deals big damage w/o the engage boosts.

listen i have no clue what they fed the stewards but i am now afraid of them with my every being.

jean and anna r just there. jean doesn’t do shit bc i alr have framme. ik that jean might be decently better than framme but i don’t want his lvl 1 ass dying every single time. anna is a pretty good backup for chain attacks actually. but everytime i see her i get reminded of her commander version from heroes (bc it was my first fe game)

i spent the good majority of my bond fragments on arena emblem bonds w/ my current lineup bc i gotta get those big boi skills n shit. i also watched my units kill each other bc ig that’s a thing now. (i witnessed alcryst beat the shit out of céline)

sommie is a silly little fart.

still waiting on the day i get lucina’s emblem. i want to witness a gang fight.

outside of all the cutscenes, the game has the animation budget of 2 dollars.

i feel like i should make a seperate post on fe13 design atrocities and impracticalities (im bad at character design)

Gossip Girl: Bad Romance Chapter 7

Things are back to normal Upper Eastsiders. Or at least they appear to be that way. E has thankfully been discharged from the hospital. Still, he has a funeral to plan. Talk about exhausting. Fortunately, he has some pretty rich and wealthy friends to help out. Lucky bastard.

Meanwhile, justice for S as his father and accomplices have been found guilty of all charges levied against them and have all been sentenced to 50 years in prison. Meaning that Judge Vinsmoke is gonna rot his ass away in the jail cel for life. Good riddance as I do not condone such god awful behaviour.

All the members of Aogiri have signed onto different labels and agencies now and are starting life as independent artistes. Well….everyone except from S, whose next line of action is still unknown. Let’s wait and see what he does next.

A wind of change has come to the Upper East Side and with it comes some new faces which can only mean one thing: drama.

There is this new guy on the block and many believe that he could be gunning for Z’s throne. Apparently this is someone that Z also knows. Things are gonna get explosive in here. Watch this space.

The door of a black limo opens in front of a glitzy hotel and out comes a tall lighted skinned guy wearing a red coat over a plain white t-shirt and a pair of light blue jeans with matching trainers.

His eyes were concealed with glasses as he steps into the building. He never thought that he would be back here in a million years. Not after his father’s business went down under.

His manager speaks to the receptionist whilst he takes the elevator and makes his way to his parent’s condo.

Griffith is still embittered by Zoro’s relationship with Sanji. He did not expect Sanji to be that smart. Like how could that low class tramp outsmart him like that? He is not even half as hot as he is.

He has only one thing on his mind after his rehab stint: revenge. He has been following the latest development with Sanji’s court drama and Eren’s family chaos.

He did some digging and sure enough, Sanji weaselled his way into Zoro’s life and heart at a club and propositioned himself as a sugar baby like the cheap slut that he was.

Compared to before, he will work more discreetly and wait for the perfect moment to take down Sanji. He has also found some backup, people from Sanji’s past who too want to destroy him. “This is gonna be fun.” he says with the most evil smirk in place. Good thing he did some plastic surgery and changed his hair colour. A new identity would be perfect for this.

Meanwhile, Lelouch and Eren go out for lunch. “I cannot believe that you and I never had a proper conversation with each other.” says Eren. Lelouch chuckles as he sips some red wine.

“We were busy being kids that’s why.” he says. “Yeah but still, I always wondered a lot about you. Like your funny catwalk.”

Lelouch just giggles at that. “I don’t know how that happened.”

“Are you for real?!”

Lelouch nods, making Eren chuckle. “No fucking way man!!”

“Funny considering you tap your foot at random.”

I do that whenever I am nervous.”

“What makes you nervous?”

“I just want everything to work out well.” Lelouch nods. “This industry is punishing to kids.”

Eren nods. “I still can’t believe Zoro debuted in this industry as a young child actor at the age of 5.”

“He almost went mad as a result but thanks to his dad he came out a lot better. Also Sanji’s appearance too.”

“I am thinking of doing therapy especially with all the shit that has happened.” says Eren. “I think you should. I am still in therapy because I occasionally have panic attacks and nightmares from past trauma.”

“Whoa!!” Lelouch nods. “How is Nunnally doing by the way?”

“Oh she is fine. She worries about us a lot.”

Elsewhere, Zoro has just gotten into of a business meeting with some TV producers for their next project. Bonus part? They want Sanji involved as well and as a result, he had to drag Sanji with him.

He smirks as he watches Sanji speak with them. He should not have fallen in love with Sanji. Yet he did. It was more than his looks and the good sex. Sanji’s brains are something else entirely. And it shows in situations like this.

Just then, his phone rings. As soon as he sees Grimmjow’s name, he takes in a deep breath. If Grimmjow ever calls him, it could mean just one thing. Grimmjow literally serves as his eyes and ears afterall.

“Excuse me gentlemen.” he says as he drops his glass of wine and heads outside to answer the call.

“Yes Grimmjow?” he says.

Grimmjow speaks in a hushed tone through the receiver of the phone. “Zoro the bitch is back.” Zoro smirks. He figured that a certain ex of his would return.

“Really now?”

Grimmjow nods. “He is currently lounging at the Hilton Hotel.Knowing this son of a bitch, he is definitely coming after Sanji.”

Zoro nods. “Unlike last time, we are now prepared. Keep on monitoring his every move and report back to me.”

“Roger that.” Grimmjow hangs up.

He turns and sees Sanji come out of the boardroom, his eyes filled with concern. “Did something happen?”

Zoro just hugs him. “Don’t worry my love. It will be all taken care of because I let my guard down once, I am not gonna repeat that mistake again.”

Now Sanji was worried. “So that bastard is back huh? Great. Just great.”

“Like I said don’t worry. There is a reason I am the King of this town. If Griffith thinks he can dethrone me and hurt you, he should think again.”

“That reminds me, the Midsummer ball is happening in the two weeks. Rukia is organising it. What better way to humiliate the bitch than by luring him to the party?”

It was then that a devious smirk appears on Sanji’s face. “Wait….I have another plan to add to this one actually.” Zoro grins with pride. “And they wonder why I love you so much.” he says, leaning in to kiss him.

“That is why we lasted this long darling. We are more than ride and die darling. Any bitch that tries to separate us is asking for a fate worse than death.”

“Either way, let’s go seal that deal and then figure out our plan from there.” The couple head back to finish the deal.

This is the first mention of One Piece here. Also what plan does Sanji have in mind? People like Griffith bring out Sanji’s more calculating side.

Thoughts On My Full Soul Name Spelling Out SLAP...(Even If My Pendulum Could Be Pranking)

so not sure if it is a prank or if it is true, and I did use my pendulum to ask about it....

but if it were true, and isn’t a prank...

it would mean that my full soul name is “Small Lilith Amethyst Phenex”...

which after asking about if that is my full soul name, and getting a clockwise fast for “Yes” instead of the circle slowly for “No”.....

I had realized that it spells out the word “Slap”.....which I kind of find funny.

I mean even if it might not seem like it, but it does have the word “Slap” in there. and if you look close enough, you will see it...

Small Lilith Amethyst Phenex....so yeah, it spells out SLAP.

well if it isn’t a prank, and if Phenex Ars Goetia is technically one of my Soul-Parents, I guess it would explain why my voice is weird and maybe the whole asking about my ethereal wings being violet and how that besides the wings hugging around me when I feel either nervous or upset or really mad, they are suppose to go into a type of flame mode as well....

I’m still gonna make sure to not use my pendulum too much, and make sure to only use it like once in a while...

it is still funny about the whole Small Lilith Amethyst Phenex thing, I mean it does spell out the word Slap, and that is why it is funny.

well I’m weird and I guess it fits if I got a weird soul name that spells out the words “Slap”...don’t know if anyone else will find that amusing, and I might be the only one who finds that a little funny.

it is possible that there are some Earth Angels, that do have their own Soul Names that they have yet to discover, and some might end up spelling out something weird like Small Lilith Amethyst Phenex spelling out the word SLAP.

yesterday kind of sucked, because I was having trouble signing in on Quotev a few times, and it at some point finally fully worked.

but when it seem like it was working fully when I was signed in, and tried to open something else that has to do with it up, it was being a bit too slow and it took some time for it to finally fully work...

so yeah when I did sign in, it was being REALLY slow and I had to clean those digital cookies and try again....and again, even when it was still being way too slow....but anyway, at some point it ended up finally working fully....

I decided to place that story that has to do with Spinel on hiatus until July, I mean I know the new chapters haven’t been the best...even if I try to write some “mature themed” into them but they might come out as terrible, but hopefully when I do publish Chapter 10, it will be a bit better than the last chapters...

I can still write Chapter 10 and any other future chapters, it is just I wont be publishing them until July, which is why it is still technically a hiatus.

what day on July, I can’t really say cause I haven’t really decided on the day.

also not everyone has to like the whole ship between Lockdown x Mikaela Banes, but I added the idea into the Crossover story...

the Mikaela Banes is suppose to be a mix of the movie version and a TFA version, which is why she is being ship with TFA-Lockdown....

also because of certain reasons, when the whole Sarivette (Sari Sumdac of TFA x Velvette of Hazbin Hotel.) does appear, it wont be until maybe Chapter 11, since Chapter 10 will focus more on Spinel...

the story is partly named after her after all...

so yeah, gonna be a long wait for that....at least until July of 2023.

and yeah, when I did sign on to Quotev Chapter to add some new chapters that I was going to write, and well after finishing the new chapters I wrote, even if they might suck....I decided to put it on a hiatus (ya know, after publishing the new chapters first) , but like the whole not updating it for a while, even if I do end up writing the new chapters, it will just be a while before I publish them, which wont happen until July.

and one of the good things about July, is that it will have the new FNAF Ruin DLC...so that is something to look forward to.

also even if I am the first to Crossover ship “Sarivette” I’m still gonna view them as being like Poison Ivy & Harley Quinn....

ya know, like Older-Sari being Ivy and Velvette being Harley....

well Sari could probably have power over techno-organic plants, so that would be interesting...

anyway I know I’m just being weird, but also I kind of don’t feel really happy right now, and I don’t think I feel fully sad either, I don’t know how to describe it.

I think maybe either later or tomorrow, I will draw Sari Sumdac again.

anyway the whole Small Lilith Amethyst Phenex, possibly being my full soul name and it spelling out the word SLAP, is still amusing and is one of the good things about today.

well no matter if it is one of the pendulum’s pranks or it being fully the truth, it is still kind of funny because it ends up spelling out that Slap word.

anyway next post, I think will have either a fan theory or drawing...if I don’t post them up today or tonight, I will tomorrow.

hope some find that whole Small Lilith Amethyst Phenex spelling out SLAP both weird and funny. cause I really was not suspecting that, even though it did make me realize that those together do end up having a hidden word in there, and that said hidden word is “Slap”......maybe after I check some stuff on here, I will go watch a movie and some shows I like...maybe I will watch RWBY...

pretty sure I’m kindred spirits with one of the RWBY characters, well that would be for anyone who feels a bit of a kindred spirit with one or a few fictional characters....like seeing a small bit of our self in them even if you and the characters you feel to be a kindred spirit, are both different.

maybe some can understand what I mean, and anyway like I said, after I check out some stuff on here, I’m going to go watch a movie and some shows, maybe all being Transformers, and then I will watch RWBY...
