i keep seeing people suggest Oatchi's name is based of Yoshi but like
no the boy's just named 'sit'
#oatchi being named after yoshi wouldn't even make sense with the other mario-based names. boy's got nothin to do with olimar#Rambles Into The Void#i would semi-jokingly suggest that *moss* is the one whose name is derived from yoshi thanks to how it's anglicized as 'yossy' sometimes bu#'モス' (mosu) vs 'ヨッシー' (yosshii). i feel like if there was any intention there it'd probably be more like 'モッス' yknow#whagever. there haven't been any mario-based character names since pikmin 2. it's fine people. it's fine.
