A window to the ever enduring felicity that is the rolling hills of the Welsh countryside. This is why I'm glad I left city life behind me in pursuit of a new existence on nature's doorstep. ☺️📸🌲🍃✨

Remus has found that he rather likes the walk home, the sound of his shoes passing over the earth, the seabirds calling to one another as they fly overhead, their beaks pointed towards the shore. On a good day, a calm day, Remus' ears prick ever-so-slightly, and he thinks he can hear the crash of the waves against the cliffs.
On a good day, a day where his knees aren't creaking and his back isn't sore, the walk takes him about thirty minutes. Thirty minutes he usually spending thinking about just how he can't believe his luck, how - despite it all - he's ended up here. Alive. Back in Wales, living in his family cottage, working in a bookshop (which he owns, thank you very much) in the nearest Muggle village, and walking home.
Home, where's happy. Happy. Another thing he can't believe he would use to describe himself.
He knows he's getting near, his daily walk almost complete, when he hears them. It changes day to day - sometimes it's the excited yips and barks of a too-large scruffy black dog, sometimes it's the boundless giggles of a toddler, with too-wild-can't-be-tamed black hair.
But he always hears them before he sees them, right before he reaches the crest of the hill that overlooks their land, their cottage, their home. And once Remus' head pokes over the top of the hill, his auburn-but-now-trending-grey hair visible to the noisemakers in the garden, he hears their usual greeting.
"Moony! You're home!"
And he smiles. Home.

I have literally been obsessed with Hypnos the god of sleep in Greek mythology for years, to the point I did an art project based on sleep in art school.
I have also been obsessed with the relationship he has with his twin brother Thanatos (death) his wife, one of the Charities Pasithea, and his son Morpheus.
The fact that the god of sleep and the goddess of hallucination and relaxation bore the god of dreams is amazing.
The fact that sleep is the twin of death, that they are very similar but very different. That death is a permanent sleep and a permanent step into dreams, which actually links more to the Welsh myth of the afterlife Annwn which is the land of gold and plenty

Tri Thiws ar Ddeg Ynys Prydain | Thirteen Treasures of the Island of Britain Series: 1/13 - Dyrnwyn, the Sword of Rhydderch Hael
The Dyrnwyn ("White-Hilt") is said to be a powerful sword belonging to Rhydderch Hael,[3] one of the Three Generous Men of Britain mentioned in the Welsh Triads. When drawn by a worthy or well-born man, the entire blade would blaze with fire. Rhydderch was never reluctant to hand the weapon to anyone, hence his nickname Hael meaning "the Generous", but the recipients, as soon as they had learned of its peculiar properties, always rejected the sword.
