So much of Bor'Dor's waffling back and forth about how far to go with the Hells, where to go with them, what their goals were... so much of it makes sense now.
Two eps ago, he'd gone and talked to Orym in the tree and said he was set on sticking with them and helping them out. Last ep, he said he wasn't sure he wanted to stay with them because he didn't want to die for them.
He had to try and stay close, even if that meant saying he'd help them with whatever their goal was. Even if that goal was killing Ludinus.
But he didn't want to die for these people who killed "his friends" in the Ruby Vanguard. Of course he didn't. He didn't want to die for people he was there to get revenge on.
He wanted to try and talk the guards of the temple away from the fight before it started, because maybe they didn't know (according to Bor'Dor's world view) just how much the gods weren't watching and didn't care. Because maybe they were smart enough not to try dying for a god that didn't care to try and protect them.
But he had absolutely no problem shooting a paladin/cleric of the Dawnfather in the back and then bleeding her out to summon a demon. Because she was devoted to one of the very gods that he felt had abandoned him and his mother. And he felt no remorse for ending someone who clearly had no compunctions about oppressing others in her god's name.
And... and Ashton's pipe couldn't lie. Even being a clearly very powerful mage, Bor'Dor didn't know what Ashton's pipe would do because Ashton hadn't told anyone what it did up to that point.
Bor'Dor's greatest, most heroic achievement in life was shooting that Fire Bolt at the practice dummy, and celebrating with everyone, and finally, finally, feeling a sense of belonging for the first time in his life. With the people who killed his friends and fellow Vanguard members. That must have fucking hurt.
I'm not going anywhere with this really, except that Utkarsh really played a character that, for me at least, has to be the single most tragic character on this show. And now that the adrenaline has worn off, my heart just hurts for him. It hurts that in the end, he didn't even try to fight back. He was done. He wanted peace. He wanted to see his family again. He was tired of fighting and watching people die and he was still just a scared young man who had watched people around him die in the name of the gods or in the name of killing the gods for his entire life, and he just... wanted to be done.

A whole post about Nyxie ! Because it's the oc I show most often but what's her lore ? Well you'll get to know now
Firstly, you gotta know that Nyxie is an outsider to the WH universe alltogether. It's the most important detail !
Nyxie was made by a lonely creator who wanted to explore the world of Welcome Home through a sona ( assuming sonas would be like vessels for creators )
Nyxie considers Creator and Nyxie her moms
However, during the creation process, one of the creator's character, named Ethlynn, intervened and asked participate to the creation. The creator accepted, finding the idea interesting.
Thus, Nyxie was born and...
The result wasn't really the expected one. The creator found that she couldn't take control of the vessels, who had gained awareness and a mind of her own, as well as a personnality slightly different from the creator. Nyxie became a "failed sona"
But, instead of scrapping the character, Creator allowed Nyxie to live and sent her to the WH universe.
All was good at first, until an incident happened while Nyxie was still living in the Pause Garden ( here my other ocs gather)
Ethlynn brought Nyxie back to the WH universe in a hurry, but it was too late, Nyxie had been corrupted. While it's not fatal to characters like Ethlynn, who can later be turned back to normal by the creator, to Nyxie it's basically a death sentence. Nyxie corrupted and was left to wander in the dream realm.
Corrupted isn't aggressive, she's more so very passive but always in pain. Being around her will put you to sleepless dreams if you're not a dream being
Later on, an other Nyxie was made. That one fell in one of the AU, Vampire Hunter ( au by @/melancolic_crayons)
She stayed there for a while, making friends with a certain vampire until she understood what was happening in the au, at which point she took the vampire hunter side.
One day, after a particularly violent fight with the vampire, she understood he would feel no remorse in killing her, and managed to flee.
Since then she stays wandering in the dream realm mostly, as she cannot go back to the Pause Garden. She takes care of Corrupted.
And finally, we have the Nyxie you guys know ! 3.0 if you will. She has the memories of her two previous versions, although she doesn't have much contact with them. This Nyxie feels extremely lonely, as WH and AU characters will feel she's an outsider, but she has been made for the WH world, so she doesn't belong in the Pause Garden either and there is always the danger to be corrupted. It doesn't help that Nameless holds resentement for her, so she can't even rely on her own alternate versions.
It doesn't help that Creator sent KitKat to follow Nyxie around and report how she's doing
Royalty Nyxie and Pantheon Nyxie are special cases in the sense that they are actually native to the AUs they're from and thus do have a place where they belong.

from the dragon ask game! have an excerpt from Witch's Book I think I've posted the first few paragraphs before but just tossing them in to provide context. (a lil long, so I'm putting it under the cut)
The clearing smells of smoke, of burnt rot, of dead things turned to ash. The snow-slush raining down is turning into real snow, now, flakes coming down from up above in flurries, spiraling and dancing through the sky. Icarus can still taste the remains of magic, feel it buzzing beneath his skin, electric in the air. Sparks, flames, fire, destruction and a cleansing all at once.
But it wasn’t him who cast it.
He sputters, looks between the dead Noxx, Rhyme, the dead Noxx once again. The feel of it is odd, the magic she had cast. It’s full of intent and power, something sharp and precise and powerful, but the shape of the aura doesn’t feel Beast, and he can’t explain why. It’s different to anything he’s encountered before.
But it’s still unmistakably magic.
Which means the girl in front of him is –
All at once, everything is beginning to seem clearer – how she knew to throw them that rope from the cliff, her anger at the Halfling, the pure hatred she had shown the AMA, even the distaste towards the boy in the market who sells charms claiming to be effective against Beasts. But what is she even doing here?
“You –” Icarus stammers. “How – that was – you –”
Crys’s eyes narrow, and he keeps his grip tight around his bow. “That was magic.”
Rhyme stumbles backward, snatching her hand back like she’s the one who’s been burned, her eyes widening. Despite that, she doesn’t flee, doesn’t attack, stays rooted to the spot with the Noxx carcass smoldering in the background and all of five meters between them. “Oh, fuck me. I could’ve – if I’d just managed to – if that stupid fucking execution wasn’t stupid fucking today –”
“Wait,” Icarus interrupts. There’s a lot he doesn’t know right now, but with all he’s seen, they’re at least, generally, on the same side – but Rhyme has no idea. Any moment, she could run or attack them or worse.
Crys meets his gaze, and nods, following the same line of thought.
It’s risky, but they have to do it, before things get worse.
He takes a deep breath, holding his hands up. “You don’t need to worry. We aren’t – we’re not going to report you, or attack you, or anything like that. I’m –”
“– ’a Beast too’, right?” she asks, and Icarus stops.
“Well, yes, but –” He blinks. “What?”
She sighs, looking him over and fisting a hand on her hip. The expression on her face is supremely unimpressed. “You know, if you’re planning on traipsing right through enemy territory trying to pass yourself off as human, the least you could do is learn to reign in your magic a little. I figured you out the instant I saw you.”

Ever so discreetly does Cindy try to pack away her files and personal projects, as if she's merely taking her work home with her as usual. Yet while back is turned from her office door there's an overly cautious air about her. It brings an uncomfortable roll of her shoulders as if she's being watched, which honestly wouldn't surprise her... if it wasn't @rcdfcxr she saw when turning around to leave.
The mere seconds of silence that follows felt like it stretched for hours. She couldn't bring her gaze to meet him, eyes darting to a bookshelf or a painting upon the wall, heart already feeling heavy even before he speaks.

Then her eyes snap to focus on him, jaw tensing as she looks away again.
❝ I’m not … ❞ Oh, but she was, wasn’t she? And how secretive she was trying to be about it. Yet Cindy should have known Rufus would have figured it out; caught the cues here or there. If that was the case, then he should also know the reason.
The experiments, the propaganda, the cover-ups, the plates dropping... it was all too much. She was tired of looking through the rose colored glasses while trying to fix such a disastrous equation from inside the problem and it was not enough. She knew, but she still wanted try and she know s she could do more... just not here.
❝ I thought I wanted pursue what my parents couldn't. In some delusional way I thought I was helping people but most days it seems like I’m re-configuring the parts this place destroys. ❞ Brief shake of her head as the growing guilt nearly brings her to nausea before she clears her throat of it.
❝ Yes, maybe I am running away from this. ❞ She gestures to the space around them, now feeling more like a vice than an office. A misty, muted green stare meets his gaze as she moves to place her hands upon his chest. ❝ But, not from this. ❞ Gradually do those hands travel to frame his face, thumbs brushing over his cheeks.
❝ I love you, Rufus, but I can’t… I can’t stay here.❞

It’s an area well-covered by Mutant Mayhem’s producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who channeled their own teen experiences into Superbad back in the day.
“That’s something that [they] are great at,” notes Rowe, “that Superbad thing where they’re best friends, but they’re kinda losers who make fun of each other, but you never doubt for a second that they truly love each other.” Bring on the mayhem – just, with a little more emotional maturity than you might expect.
