still can’t get over the fact that i spent all of sunday night and monday morning watching love in the air, deeply enjoying the relationship and often thinking to myself “my touchstarved ass yearns for this so much” and just really, really enjoying seeing a gay relationship portrayed in a longer format show just to come into work yesterday afternoon and almost immediately being confronted with the fact that apparently “no one wants to see any of that” by a coworker and a customer.

#during pride month no less #DURING PRIDE MONTH NO LESS?#i just #i've enjoyed this show so much because it's pure romance #and it feels so good to see a gay (i'm aware bi actually but for this conversation) relationships get the same treatment #that cishet relationships usually do #this show has been all relationship #we've gotten meetcutes and flirting and hugs and dates and sex scenes that you can just see #everyone worked so hard on #like to see that #in a show where the episodes are 45 min to an hour #and it's the focus?? not a side plot #just it fills something in me that is constantly aching and afraid #and to be basking in that only to some into work #and right next to me hear a coworker and customer #say something that to them #is just a fact. to them it's not heartstopping #they probably don't even remember they even said it #but i was actually in the middle of reading a love in the air fic #finding a measure of peace during a shit week #and to me everything just stopped #and it's the next day and i'm still thinking about it #about how this coworker says 'she doesn't care if ur straight or gay or whatever;#but at the first opportunity she expressed dislike and disgust for seeing gay relationships on tv #i'm hurt and pissed off and just so so so fucking tired #me #interesting
