Ahaha.... no-context fan-art of Fool from @venomous-qwille 's Ghost in the Machine dca fic ♡
As always, bonus wips! I work in Chunks when I do this painting style, and for most of the process he was lacking Pupils cuz I didn't wanna deal w/ it. (Residual from never knowing where a character is looking till the piece is done ig.)
Plus, the lil Sol shit-post cameo in the left image is thanks to @neonsix67 who watched me do this entire thing over the past two days.

Tristen: Enough about me, uh.. how’s the whole surrogacy thing going?
Matilda: Pfft, I knew Ivan wouldn’t be able to keep his mouth shut.
Tristen: Courtney mentioned it a while ago.
Matilda: Great, that means everyone knows.
Tristen: I’m not sure that’s a bad thing, but I can keep a secret.
Matilda: Sure, you can…
Tristen: Why didn’t you want to tell anyone?
Matilda: I don’t know.. in case something happened? Or I changed my mind…
Tristen: You know you’re still allowed to change your mind, right?
Matilda: It’s a bit late for that.
Tristen: Oh, are you-..?
[Matilda nods solemnly]
Tristen: That’s great!
Matilda: I’m scared, Triss… What if Sam was right, what if I regret it?
Tristen: You won’t.
Matilda: But what if I do?
Tristen: It might be harder than you thought-.. or not, I don’t know; but you won’t regret it.
Matilda: [sighs] I hope not.
Tristen: When are you gonna tell ‘em?
Matilda: Not yet. Ivan would be crushed if anything happened, I’d rather wait a while.
Tristen: Well, my lips are sealed.
[Matilda smiles slightly, shaking her head]
Tristen: What?
Matilda: What have I gotten myself into…
Tristen: C’mon, it’s such an amazing thing you’re doing for them. You oughta be proud of yourself.
Matilda: I’ll try.
Tristen: You won’t regret it, Mat.. I promise.

Cornelia Funke Q&A - 08.05.23
Finally, another one of these. Here are some interesting bits.
The Color of Revenge
Q: Why did Cornelia decided to write another Inkworld story after all this time?
A: She wrote a short story about Orpheus and the Inkworld came rushing back to her immediately (probably because she never really left, she says, as the Mirrorworld and the Inkworld are the same and she'd been writing Reckless). She thought about how Orpheus would definitely want revenge and there was something to explore there. At the same time, her focus shifted towards illustration and pictures rather than words. For a while she had begun to distrust (her own) words, which only changed when she wrote The Labyrinth of the Faun.
Cornelia hopes the TCoR script will be finished in June
The people who host the stream met the head of Cornelia's publisher, who recognized them due to the cover debacle. She showed them the final cover and seemed quite happy with it
During a conversation about queer representation, Cornelia says that she doesn't want to include queer characters just for brownie points as that feels very disrespectful. She has always written her characters as the story called for it and will continue to do so and that of course includes queer characters, who are all close to her heart - and there is, in fact, one in TCoR
Q: What about the release date/release date of the English version?
A: If everything goes according to plan, the German version will be published this autumn. England and America will take longer, Cornelia guesses it will be another year for TCoR to be published in English. Her daughter will translate this time, which Cornelia is excited about. She's been told that her English voice is quite different from how she writes in German and thinks that with this book, that gap will shrink significantly (since her daughter is so familiar with her style)
Reckless
Bad news regarding the TV show: apparently The Rings of Power and the Game of Thrones sequel were such a disaster that nobody wants to touch a fantasy script right now. Cornelia remains optimistic though - she will finish the book series and maybe then something will come of it. Adapting a finished series is easier, anyway
Misc.
Cornelia's granddaughter's name is Lyra Emilia after Lyra from His Dark Materials. Cornelia has been drawing and painting pictures for her
The Donkeys she left behind in America have learned a few tricks and are very happy with her former neighbour
The Green Kingdom is out and the reactions so far have been delightful: Cornelia mentions letters from 20somethings who feel reminded of their grandparents' gardens and children who feel less nervous about moving cities after reading the book. She also clarifies that the blind girl's father writes the letters for her since she apparently accidentally edited that detail out of the finished story and some people were confused

Motley Folk songs about The Bluejay, The Firedancer or The Black Prince anyone?
Okay. I want songs to sing about out beloved three. Sadly Cornelia Funke didnt include any in the books, so I will try to write some myself.
I need ideas. Anything YOU want to hear about? What do you think there would be songs about? Tell me!
I will try to write them in German and English but idk how well the translation will go. We'll see.
If u have a melody/free to use medieval - folk music that could work or that u want to be used: GIVE IT TO ME.
EDIT: I found the two Songs that are there. (thank you swug on @schleierkauz (EDIT AGAIN: it's @toxic-duck sryyy) for the English Versions)

One "tip" (I guess?) that has been revolutionary to me is that you do not have to do things the way they're shown.
I could never get consistent workout routines bc I didn't want to change into workout clothes and then sweat in them and wear sweaty workout clothes but I didn't want to change twice to go from PJs -> clothes -> workout clothes -> PJs (or workout clothes -> clothes) or even; clothes -> workout clothes -> clothes again
Until I realised I can do yoga in my PJs (which are very breathable and won't make me sweat as much) if I have a fan/AC on.
Also, I live out of town so I will straight up go on a 3.5km walk before running into anyone so I can just wear PJs and walk (especially if they look like regular clothes just in case)
Another point being you don't have to follow a single route for a walk - you can set destinations, make it fun (I will walk until I see something yellow then from there until I see something blue, etc.), Or just walk back and forth in the area you're comfortable walking in.
Kill the cop in your head, there is no such thing as cringe.
(I literally use Pokemon go to track how far I go bc I like walking the Pokemon and it keeps a routine that reminds me to walk)
This works for other things to - it doesn't matter how crazy or weird you look so long as you are enjoying it;
I've seen people make a list of chores (sorted by room categories) and give them points based on how difficult they find it and roll a dice to decide which chore to do and then take that many points off a monster with a certain amount of HP. Is that intended for kids? Probably. But it looks like it works and it seems fun
Hell, cosplay as a housewife and put on some dramatic scornful music (I recommend anything written by country women about murdering their husbands or any musical theatre esque songs) to pretend you're cleaning up the scene of your husband's murder.
