This week is Sk8 3rd anniversary.... So for celebrating, can I ask a few things :
-Who are your fav character from this series? Why?
-What are your fav moments from this series? -What are your opinions on this fandom's famous ships : Reki/ Langa, Cherry/ Joe, Adam/ Tadashi?
Season 2 and an OVA are coming (eventually)! Which is more than we can say for other series' so I'm going to remain delusionally hopeful. I think it'd be nice if, instead of announcing long awaited continuations, new seasons dropped like Beyonce albums. Without warning and like an unexpected blessing. Just like this ask so thank you for reaching out!
Tumblr media
FAVORITE CHARACTER
Sk8 has a wonderful band of idiots who I adore but Cherry is, by far, my favorite. Most specifically through the interactions he has with Joe because they are just so catty and mean to one another but you just know it belies an affection from their entrenched history together whether you consider them a ship them or not.
I love that Cherry had this rebellious era and continues to do so as a respectable adult while juggling such a disciplined craft and career. Like, that dichotomy is just 😘👌🏾. Goals, honestly. He maintains this split by ensuring that his S persona and his everyday persona remain mutually exclusive similar to how Adam conducts himself. Which, now that I'm thinking about it, might be kind of sad but he is, somewhat, of a man of contrasts.
Like, the way his talents splinter is so interesting. He is a founding member of S wherein he remains a threat, an established and respected calligrapher... plus, I feel like he customized Carla himself. What a nerd! Plus, Cherry is so gender. ✨
THOUGHTS ON SHIPS
Reki & Langa - idiot x idiot, I love it? But also, how silly to show someone something you love so intensely only for that love to envelope them so completely. Both in how they receive your hobby but also in how they just become a part of your life. Plus, Langa sees Reki's strengths that he takes for granted and its so necessary because they both think the sun shines out of each others' ass. Also, I see them as a reincarnation of AshEiji from Banana Fish.
Cherry & Joe - Yes. Was that not evident from above? Yes. They fight like an old (and sassy) married couple and then will have a moment of saccharine sweetness that's just... too much. There's also a hilarious sense of patience Joe must have to adapt to Cherry vs. Kaoru and its more evident because there's who the pair are when they are around others, regardless of who the others are, and then who they are when they're alone. Like, why put on the act, guys? Just kiss already.
Adam & Tadashi - As long as it's consensual, I guess, but I'm sure Tadashi could do better.
Oka & Shadow - Okay, but go with me here. Please thank the chokehold umikochannart had on keeping this ship sailing before they wiped their IG of all evidence.
Adding a few other artists guaranteed to give you the brainrot because I fell down a rabbit hole while looking for umikochann and fan artists deserve so much appreciation for covering the spread when we are awaiting new content so go follow them and join their patreons, buy them a kofi and bark on all their posts because we are not deserving of their labor: angrymorilas, bunbun.ji, @pochiikou and @ratcarney IG.
These artists are my gift to you. As a gift, that means that we should love and appreciate the people whose talents enable us to experience the characters we love even more and be thankful for, however long the stretch, the time that our favorite characters and ships were their muses. And to subsequently not be a prick when their muse changes.
⚠️ Spoiler warning for S1 of SK8 the Infinity anime.
FAVORITE MOMENTS
"Push me, Reki." - needs no explanation.
Reki defending Miya's honor - When you see Miya's backstory, his isolation is really sad and makes him vulnerable to Adam's predation but Reki punched well above his weight to defend Miya and it effectively brought the kid into the fold and I loved that. And that's on the power of friendship. ✨ Reki really subjugated everyone in that friend group and is not appreciated enough for it.
When everyone cockblocked Joe - Not every show needs a beach episode. This one does.
Sia La Luce after hours - the fact that Kaoru, after being bride carried by Joe, broke out of the hospital just to go running back to Joe is just so... beautifully chaotic and unexpected. Add a zest of Jonah Scott murmuring "We're not alone, right, Kaoru?" and I am undone.
When the might of Reki's rain wheels kicked in - Overcame insecurity by utilizing the gift he'd had all along? AGH. So perfect, so proud.
When Reki's laughter melts into that of young Adam's - only because that was really sweet
Not in the show but: sharing this series with my niece and nephew and them loving it just as much as I do. They're pretty young so the Venn Diagram of "Shows I Love" vs "Shows I Can Share With Them As A Discerning Adult" has a pretty narrow overlap. So imagine my surprise when my nephew randomly makes a SK8 joke or observation or when my niece drew fan art of Carla? We also sing and dance and laugh during the intro and outtro so I hope they remember the series affectionately when they're older.

me when people are hating on Ouma's actions in game like. I just support him, actually
Ves: REAL she looked good doing it
if it were me I would get more crazy for a lot more selfish reasons, and I would punch Kaito back sooner, good for him for keeping his eyes on the goal
fr fr, look at him in the closing argument, that's my babygirl
Ves: the closing argument artist thinks so too
Tumblr media
he did not have to go that hard but HE DID IT FOR ALL OF US. A HERO
haters will act like he's irrational, but he stuck out so long with no support system since he couldn't trust anyone and managed to play things off even when he was finally starting to lose his shit in a situation when it was reasonable for him to feel like this (tbh even fans make him often crack way more easily to make shipping content, when he's so resilient and then on the other hand not really lone wolfing it either bc he cooperated as much as he could) his way of going about things was smart, there isn't much else he could do, Tsumugi was setting up others to distrust him as well
Ves: AAAAAAAAAAAUGH!!! he did he lasted so fucking long in the worst possible situation he tried so HARD to cooperate and it just. did not work. if i think abt how quickly his plans fell apart i will explode i'd b doing so much worse in his situation
sometimes it's just like, you're talking about paranoia? trust and attachment issues? untreated mental illness? I think we have to be introduced, there's so much I could show you. I am not saying he doesn't have anything of the sort, but there's a lot more of reasonable justified distrust there, and still, it could be so much worse, trapping the next person who thoughtlessly assigns him diagnosis in a demonizing way in a room with me and making them listen to me rant about my failed relationships history for educational purposes
they will learn about all kinds of issues
Ves: it's trueee people act like he's so strange for breaking down but LIKE??? HE'S PRETTY NORMAL FOR THAT ACTUALLY???? he clearly already had Issues but the killing game was perfectly packaged to dig into those this is why DRS and UTDP mostly suck at characterizing him they're still stuck in the idea of him at his absolute worst he was nicer even in ch1 than he is in some of those events
[and then my amazing wife dropped this bomb, and she says I'm the smart one smh] Sini: The thing is, there’s him being shitty on purpose and him pretending to be the mastermind/making himself appear suspicious. There is a clear difference in how he acts. In DRS and UTDP he usually just comes across as playful. Yeah he’s a jackass, but I think his whole “bad guy” persona (the one we see in the beginning of the game) goes beyond the killing game. I see it as a way for him to protect himself, to push people away and not appear as vulnerable. As he’s said before, everyone always sees him as a villain so it’s the perfect role for him. I think that reasoning goes beyond what was happening to him in canon. I do agree his characterization could’ve used a bit more reworking, but I think for the most part they did a good job in showing how differently he acts in a peaceful setting in small ways. The fact that he never uses his scary sprites once or is seen to be more nice with characters like Mikan and Gonta. Especially with Gonta, where he seems to be more vulnerable around. And while this was probably just a mistake, I like to think him being shown as not as pale in DRS as a sign of him getting better. In a non killing game environment he seems to be doing pretty well for himself. But that’s what I believe, anyway
Ves: h that's really sweet actually,,,i may have been a LITTLE hard on the side modes. it's mostly the way he treats kiibo that drives me INSANE, the mikan n gonta stuff is [ok hand emoji].
Sini: Yeah, I agree. I can understand the Kiibo hate, but he doesn’t have to go as hard as he did in game. It’s not like there is a reason to suspect him. The only thing that could maybe explain it is maybe he suspects he could be tied to Monokuma? Since he, the Monokubz, and Monomi do exist here. He was rude to Monomi and seems to suspect her of being not what she seems ALSO, he’s always gonna be a little shit cause he’s a greedy whore. He wants attention and entertainment so badly.
Ves: THISSSSS it's so important i have seen so many people question why he does things where the answer is literally just that he wants attention like there is not always a plot sometimes he just wants shuuichi to chase him
Sini: That’s all there is to it He wants his crush to chase him like in his favourite novels Live the fantasy
Ves: it's part of why they're so good together!! shuuichi as a detective is v used to obsessing over details and giving his whole attention to something in the way kokichi wants HE'S A NERD THAT ALSO EXPLAINS MANY THINGS
Sini: They’re both nerds. Even more reason to why they are soulmates
Ves: kokichi receives the Detective Stare and goes TEEEEEHEE
Sini: IT’S HIS DREAM COME TRUE It’s just like anime! He’s living anime rn
Ves: i think his hair should curl up at the ends when he gets excited as a treat
Sini: To compliment Shuichi’s sentiment ahoge When he goes to his room after an exciting day with Shuichi, he flops on his bed, kicks his feet, and squeals into his pillow
I feel a little ashamed when reverse happens and I am posting something someone else started and I took over, but with this all I can say: follow @vespertin-y and leave nice comments for my wife so we can prove it to her that she is smart and her takes are divine.

Jose Cuervo (You Are a Friend of Mine)
I originally posted this at 2 am after finishing the first draft, fell asleep, woke up and went "That was a bad decision." So if you saw that version, I kindly ask you forget it. Thank you. <3
Gen - DamiJon if you squint, but it's largely platonic. Rated T - Alcohol use, mild coercion to drink
Clubs are hard on Jon. The noise, the people, the lights, the smells; he was getting better at blocking it out. Shutting down his super senses for moments of normalcy proved to be more and more necessary for his sanity, but clubs were a special kind of claustrophobic that made Jon particularly miserable. If Damian hadn't, not beg, never beg, but asked as nicely as he was capable of for Jon to be there for his birthday, Jon wouldn't be there for a million dollars. He's just incapable of telling Damian no. Especially because it's his birthday and they so rarely get a chance to celebrate the little victories, like surviving another rotation around the sun.
Not that he doesn't regret it. The hostile conditions were one thing, but sitting in the VIP section, devastatingly underdressed, with the prettiest people in the room in their designer clothes was making him feel itchy and watched. Please don't notice the guy in jeans and a hoodie hanging out with The Waynes of Gotham. Please don't notice that it's Superman 2.0 crammed into a booth in a nightclub. That type of press is the last thing he needs.
A long suffering sigh sounds from beside him. “Relax, Jon. It's dark and no one expects you to be here,” Damian drawls. His ability to read Jon borders on telepathy at times. “You are not the spectacle for this evening.”
As if on cue, Dick walks up with a tray holding a very fancy looking purple cupcake sporting a single candle, a shot glass, a dish of salt, some sliced limes and a full bottle of tequila. “Alright birthday boy, make a wish! We're not leaving until either you or this bottle are gone.”
“Traitor.”
Dick slides into the booth. “Aw, don't be that way.” He places the cupcake in front of him. “Here, peace offering. I know you like ube.”
Damian blows out the candle and cuts into the cake with a fork. He takes a bite and nods. “Acceptable.” Dick beams.
“Only you could make eating a cupcake sound so joyless, D,” Steph comments as she reaches over to steal a chocolate curl that's sticking out of the frosting.
Jason claps his hands, interrupting. “Alright! Enjoy your carbs while they last, Damian, because our goal is to have to shovel you out of here. Everyone place your bets now. What kind of drunk is Damian going to be? I'm putting two hundred on surly.” He drops a couple bills into the center of the table with a flourish.
“Surly,” Tim seconds, placing his own money on the table.
“It's not really a betting pool if we all pick the same thing,” Steph points out. “I'm going to say giggly.” She leans over to Cassandra. “Can I borrow two hundred dollars?”
Cass laughs and pulls out her wallet. “Alright. For both of us.”
“Excellent choice,” Jason says. “Duke?”
“Yeah I'm not participating in this, it's kinda messed up.”
Jon agrees. “Me neither.”
“Thank you. Good to know I have some allies in this den of treachery.”
Jason waves them off. “It's harmless. It's not like we're going to let you get hurt or anything.”
“Just humiliated.”
“Your ego could use it.”
Damian glowers at Jason who rolls his eyes. “Alright, no pictures or video. We enjoy the evening, but it doesn't haunt anyone. Agreed?”
“Fine.”
“Cool. Ok Dickie-bird, you're last.”
Dick stares at Damian from across the table, doing what Jon calls “The Bat Thing” where the veneer of their street personas drop and you can see them analyze you like they're dissecting a very large frog. He then leans forward and pulls out a wad of bills. “Five thousand dollars. On cuddly.”
Everyone stills. “What?”
“Five thousand dollars on cuddly,” Dick repeats casually. “Come on, it's not that much.”
“To you rich bitches,” Steph snipes.
“You're not even paying the two hundred.”
“But cuddly?”
“Mmmhmm. I know my baby brother.” That gives everyone pause. Dick is definitely closest to Damian.
Jason is the first to answer. “Alright, fine. I don't have it on me, but you know I'm good for it.”
“Of course. Tim? Ladies?”
“Alright I'll match it.”
“Us too!”
“Okay, sorry D, I tried to scare them off.”
Damian doesn't look convinced. “Mmmhmmm.”
Dick grins. “No take backsies, bottoms up.” He pours him a shot.
Damian dabs the salt on his hand to lick before taking the shot. He grimaces and swallows with a shudder. “Bleh.” He quickly takes a lime wedge and sucks on it. “Why do people do this for fun?”
“It's how they convince themselves they can dance,” Jason says as he reaches for the bottle.
“Nope!” Dick slaps his hand away. “That's Dami’s. Get your own booze.”
He rolls his eyes. “He's not going to drink the whole bottle.” He still flags down a server to bring him “the best beer you have on tap.”
And so it goes. They talk and laugh about nothing. The girls drag Duke and Tim out to the dance floor while Dick and Jason continue to feed Damian shots and Jon maintains his vigil at his best friend's side. It's a little nice, actually, to just be for a moment. No crisis to see to or case to discuss.
It would probably be nicer if Damian weren't starting to melt in his chair. Jon can understand the reasoning of his siblings seeking a way to get him to relax, but he didn't seem very relaxed. He keeps checking his watch and eying the bottle like he's trying to determine how much longer he has to endure this.
Jon doesn't drink. He can't get drunk and alcohol just tastes bad so there's really no point for him. So he doesn't really know any drinking etiquette or anything, but it would be like Damian to study up before he had to do this. He's not really pacing himself, but he does alternate between shots and water and bites of his cupcake at a fairly alarming rate. About half way through the bottle Damian places his forehead down on the table.
“Uh oh.”
“You ok there, baby bird?”
“Mmmmm…”
“Dami?” Jon delicately taps him on the shoulder. This seems to offset him a bit and in one slouching movement, Jon finds himself with an armload of best friend.
“Wow, D,” Jason grins. “I had a feeling you'd be a cheap date, but it's not even 9 o’clock yet. Who knew you'd be such a wimp?”
“Hey,” Dick warns. “No goading."
Damian waves a floppy hand at them. “Let ‘im talk,” he mumbles, his accent getting more pronounced. “He gets so few wins.” He snuggles deeper into Jon’s side. “You are so warm…”
“Ha!” Dick barks a laugh. “Well he definitely isn't surly! Not giggling either. In fact…I believe that looks to be a cuddle.” He gives Jason the biggest shit eating grin. “I do take Venmo.”
“That's hardly a cuddle! It's more of a melt!”
This is getting irritating. Jon speaks up. “Yeah well, while you argue that over, I'm pulling best friend rights and getting him out of here before the paparazzi catch him like this.” He starts scooting them out of the booth.
“Aw come on!”
“Thank you, Jon. I know you'll take care of him.”
Jon extracts himself first before carefully pulling Damian onto his feet. “You ok? Can you walk?”
He straightens a bit and smooths down his jacket. “Yes, I believe I can…” Which sounds good until he pivots and walks right into Tim who had just gotten back to the table. He doesn't fully fall on him, fortunately, but he does sort of lean into him and squish his face into Tim’s shoulder.
“What is happening?”
“Sorry,” he mumbles into his shoulder. “Just let me get my bearings and I'll release you.”
Tim shoots the two older members of the group with an accusatory glare. “How many did you force down him?”
“Um…" Jason holds up the bottle. "I'm not sure…"
Everyone looks appropriately appalled. “Jesus, Jason, are you trying to kill him?”
“Had to be thorough.”
Damian wraps an arm around Tim. “Thank you for worrying about me.”
Tim looks at Stephanie with a shocked helplessness who grins at him in return. “I'm jealous. I want a Damian hug.”
At that Damian peeks at her from his resting spot before reaching out his arm, allowing her room to turn it into a group hug. She gladly brings it in to give both Tim and Damian a squeeze. “This is awesome. You need to promise to make yourself available for more good hugs.”
“Hnnn…”
She laughs and kisses his temple. “Happy birthday, Damian, now go eat some real food and sleep this off. Jon, a little help?”
Jon is more than happy to say his goodnights then swoop in and let Damian balance on him while they head for the door. One of the good things about being large and imposing is that the crowd splits for them easily with few onlookers really taking notice of them.
Stepping into the night air feels like salvation and Jon can finally breathe again. He almost doesn't notice how Damian starts wiggling out of his grasp.
“Let go,” he grumbles, his voice back to his normal clipped tone.
Huh?
Jon lets go and Damian stands up perfectly straight on his own and smooths down his clothes. “Finally that's over. Just in time for the gallery opening, too. Thank you. You played your role admirably.”
“Huh?!”
Instead of explaining his sudden sobriety, Damian starts walking off. “Come on. Maya is waiting for us down the block.”
Jon follows after him. “Wait. You were just acting?”
“Of course. Do you honestly think I'd allow myself to get seriously inebriated in an unsecured location?”
“But the bet… the shots…”
His features alight with a mischievous grin. “Yes. Dick warned me about their plans for tonight so we came up with counter measures and agreed to split the winnings. Dick replaced the contents of the tequila bottle with primarily apple juice with just enough liquor to give it a smell. Tastes terrible with salt and lime, by the way.”
As if on cue, Damian's phone chimes with an alert. He pulls it out to check it and flashes a grin. "And that would be my cut." He holds up the screen to show a transfer of $7500 to his account with a note saying "B&R 🤜🤛"
“Oh my god, why are you all so diabolical?”
“Because none of us have jobs.” He pauses to wave ahead of them. “Chica!”
“Hermanito!” Maya answers back, looking elegant in a black cocktail dress as she approaches them carrying two falafels. She hands one to Jon with a smile and greeting and gives the other to Damian before kissing him on the cheek. “Happy birthday. I got those from that cart you like.”
He takes a bite. “Mmm…thank you.”
They link arms and continue on their way.
“Wait, so where are we going?”
“I told you. There's a gallery opening I wanted to go to. Is that alright?” He takes another huge bite of falafel which reminds Jon he also has one.
He bites into his own. Oh that is good. “Of course, man, it's your birthday. I just don't get why you didn't tell me. Now I'm even more under-dressed.”
He snorts. “Because you're a terrible liar and would have given us away immediately. And I did tell you to wear nice clothes.”
Jon feels his face heat up. "These are my nice clothes."
They both stop mid stride to grimace at him.
“Thanks guys, love you too.”
—----
A little while later Damian receives a text from Jason.
You're a conniving and devious brute and I hope all the times you live through are interesting.
Then Tim.
I am honestly impressed. Well done.
A final text comes from Stephanie but it's just a dark and slightly blurred picture of her making a heart with her fingers while Jason looks like he's trying to hit a laughing Dick with the bottle in the background while Duke and Cass hold him back.

Hawk Fluff Alphabet
Tumblr media
Requested by @manicgrungegf
A = Attractive (What do they find attractive about the other?)
What hawk finds most attractive about you is your kindness. You’re literally the sweetest person to everyone you meet and he likes to think that if he knew you when he was Eli, you still would have dated him. You didn’t care about the muscles or the tattoo or the hair. You genuinely loved him and were always kind to him even when he was being an ass.
B = Baby (Do they want a family? Why/Why not?)
He’s not sure about whether he wants kids or not. He’s kind of just enjoying being young and having fun right now, and he never actually thought he’d get married before, but he’d be open to it later on down the line if it was something you really wanted.
C = Cuddle (How do they cuddle?)
For as much game as he talks, this boy is a LITTLE SPOON. He loves being held by you, and sometimes can’t fall asleep unless your arms are wrapped around him. In public, he’s always the one with his arm around you, hugging you from behind, putting on that alpha male persona, but when it’s just you guys he’s a total puppy.
D = Dates (What are dates with them like?)
Hawk likes to take you to parties. You guys can drink, dance, hang out with your friends, it’s the perfect place in his opinion. But for more private occasions like your anniversary, he likes a nice picnic on the beach. He’d make PB&J’s for you guys (and cut off your crusts), pack some juice boxes, and bring a big giant blanket (and condoms shhh) for you guys.
E = Everything (You are my ____ (e.g. my life, my world…)
You’re my happy place. Hawk thinks of you as the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Whenever he feels frustrated from training or insecure about his scar or angry at Demitri, he knows he can always go to you for support and you’ll make him forget all about that stuff. He’s never not smiling when you’re around.
F = Feelings (When did they know they were in love?)
He first knew he loved you when you said his scar was cute. It’s always been his biggest insecurity, and even when you guys first went out, he always just assumed you just tried not to look at it and look at his hair or muscles instead. But when you told him you liked it, thought it gave him character and looked kind of tough, his heart shot through the roof. This beautiful, ethereal, magnetically charming girl thought his scar, his deformity, was cute?! Love on sight.
G = Gentle (Are they gentle? If so, how?)
He’s more gentle than you would think, but still not as gentle as, say, Miguel. He would never hurt you or make you do anything you don’t want to do, but he likes to rough house, play wrestle, and tease you a little bit. He likes to sneak up behind you, pick you up and spin you around, and ruffle your hair as a “good morning” every day.
H = Hands (How do they like to hold hands?)
Hawk is holding your hand all. The. damn. Time. He likes everyone to know who you belong to. Inside, he’s still a little insecure and nervous that you’ll decide you can do better and leave him, so he finds holding your hand reassuring, especially when you run your thumb over the back of his hand.
I = Impression (What was their first impression?)
His first impression of you was honestly not good. You were friends with Samantha Larusso so he just assumed you were stuck up and snobby. The first time you guys actually talked was at a party. You were pacing nervously outside because your friends had left, your phone died, and you had no way to get home. Hawk took pity on you and offered to give you a ride on his motorcycle, and you guys ended up driving all over town, talking, laughing, drinking milkshakes, and you quickly made plans to hang out the next day.
J = Jealousy (Do they get jealous?)
He is the most jealous boy, mostly because he’s insecure that you’ll leave him for someone else. Sometimes you think it’s hot, but if it ever bothers you, he’ll make a conscious effort to work on himself and trust that you’ll always come back to him.
K = Kiss (How do they kiss? Who initiated the first kiss?)
Your first kiss was the sweetest moment ever. You guys were sitting on the beach one night talking about all your deep thoughts. He started telling you how he was super insecure about his lip scar and thought no girl would ever want to kiss him before he got the mohawk and muscles. “Well I can think of one girl who would love to kiss you.” At this, he looked at you with pure shyness, and you leaned in and gave him a sweet kiss. Now, his kisses can range anywhere from sweet and loving, to possessive and dominant. You love them all.
L = Love (Who says ‘I love you’ first?)
He knew he was in love with you when you first talked about nerdy shit with him and Demitri. He always thought he couldn’t like nerdy stuff like Dr. Who or girls wouldn’t like him, so when Demitri brought it up while you three were hanging out, he panicked. But then you started talking about the new trailer and how excited you were for a female Dr. and he fell in love on the spot.
M = Memory (What’s their favourite memory together?)
His favorite memory with you is that time he needed to touch up his hair color and you asked if you could do it for him. You got him a little poncho (garbage bag but shhh), parted his hair in neat little sections, and touched up the dye. You guys had such a fun time, you gushed about how good his hair looked down, and it ended up looking way better than when he did it himself. Now every time he needs a touch up he comes to you.
N = Nickel (Do they spoil? Do they buy the person they love everything?)
Hawk doesn’t generally spoil you with material things. You both would much rather spend your time and money on memories, or food. Of course on your birthday and anniversaries he gets you little gifts, but generally speaking, his love language leans more towards quality time.
O = Orange (What colour reminds them of their other half?)
Lavender reminds him of you. Soft, sweet, feminine. He thinks it looks amazing on you, too. He’s actually thought about dying his mohawk lavender next just to feel closer to you.
P = Pet names (What pet names do they use?)
Princess. That’s the biggest one. Sometimes angel, or babygirl.
Q = Quaint (What is their favourite non-modern thing?)
His favorite non-modern thing is old muscle cars. He’s saving up to buy an old Corvette one day. It’s one of his big goals in life. He wants to have a mohawk made for the car, too, so everyone knows how cool he is.
R = Rainy Day (What do they like to do on a rainy day?)
Little secret about Hawk, he loves to cook. When it’s raining outside, he likes to have you come over and make a big meal with him. Maybe chicken pot pie, steaks, or pad thai, and sit on the couch eating and watching old movies.
S = Sad (How do they cheer themselves/others up?)
Unfortunately, Hawk used to be an expert at being sad back before he joined Cobra Kai. The way he likes to deal with it is generally just crying. He likes to let it all out, be alone, collect himself, and then maybe watch a movie or hang out with you. If you’re sad, his first question is “who do I have to beat up?” If it’s not from a person, he’ll take you on an adventure. Hikes, long drives, exploring new places, just to get your mind off it.
T = Talking (What do they like to talk about?)
Umm karate. It literally changed his life. He loves to tell you about the new moves he learned in training, talk about the tournaments coming up, or the rivalry between Cobra Kai and Myagi-Do. And you’re a sucker for gossip so you love to hear about it.
U = Unencumbered (What helps them relax?)
Music, soft blankets, the tiredness after a workout, a good hot meal, and he loves to watch cringe compilations on Youtube.
V = Vaunt (What do they like to show off? What are they proud of?)
Ever since his transformation from Eli to Hawk, this boy likes to show off everything, all the time. His hair, his tattoos, his muscles, his fighting skills, his sarcasm, his girl…
W = Wedding (When, how, where do they propose?)
He proposes to you about 6 months into your relationship with a ring pop outside of a gas station. You both knew it was a joke, but honestly started referring to each other as fiance and never stopped. Then, about 3 years later, he got you a real ring and took your hand and said “about time we actually do this, huh?” Of course, he took you to the same gas station where he had “proposed” the first time. Not the most romantic thing looking in on it, but to you guys, it was perfect.
X = Xylophone (What’s their song?)
Highway To Hell- ACDC
Y = Yes (Do they ever think of getting married/proposing?)
He proposes to you multiple times! Of course he thinks about it. He wants you guys to be together forever!
Z = Zebra (If they wanted a pet, what would they get?)
A hawk! It’s his signature symbol, of course he thinks it would be super badass to actually have a pet hawk. He would name it Desmond, and get it a tiny little mohawk.

I havent read all the requests you wrote so idk if you've written smth like this. but what abt a dialogue prompt "it's ok, you don't have to love me" with zemo. just take it any way you want😌
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TW: mention of attmepted Su*cide
Behind the self-obsessed persona Zemo often portrayed to those around him, Zemo knew how much of a horrible person he really was.
He liked to pretend that he was the smooth guy, who was cool for getting into bad businesses like that, who remained everyone's ally when it convenience him, that he was someone who could have fun, have a laugh but couldn't be trusted.
But deep down he hated himself as much as Sam and Bucky hated him.
This was never the life he had ever thought would become of him. He had so many plans, inheriting his father's position, helping the people of Sokovia, raising his son into the best man that he could be, doing his duty for his country. But the cruel twists of fate had destroyed any hope he had of ever achieving those goals.
He didn't want to kill other people. Though he had been trained he has always killed the guilty, and though he still aimed to destroy the guilty, the avengers, it meant he had to kill innocents as well and his self-hatred for himself grew over it.
Years he spent in his cell, his own thoughts plaguing him for what he had done, the families he had torn apart just like the Avengers had once done to him. In order to take them down, he had to become just like them and the thought of it left a bitter taste in his mouth.
When Bucky offered to break Zemo out of jail, he was already forming plans in his head. This was the perfect opportunity to end everything. He knew he wouldn't be allowed to stay outside, and he refused to go back to jail. So he made the decision that he was to die.
He had tried to previously, but was prevented from doing so and so instead had suffered for years in jail with his guilt, so he had to this time, he had to bite the bullet in a literal sense.
But once again there was something he hadn't planned for. Some that came and screwed up his plans all over again.
You.
You had come along and changed everything, all of his neatly timed out plans were ruined because of you, and he wasn't even mad at you for it.
But it put him in a tough decision. He couldn't let you know how he felt. He had to keep these feelings to himself for he knew he was to die and if he grew close to you anymore, he would risk getting to the moment and not wanting to die, and what was worse, potentially hurting you with his death.
Yet no matter how much he tried to keep his distance, tried to remain cold to you. He just couldn't. Not when you were so nice, so friendly, so heartwarming and against his wishes, he fell even more hopelessly in love with you and little did he know, you the same way.
You knew you shouldn't like the man after all that he had done, but deep down you knew there was more to him, you could see the pain in his eyes, the sorrow he tried to hide about his crimes and it made your own heartache for him.
You couldn't hide these feelings forever, and so you just had to tell him before it was too late for either of you.
One evening at Zemo's safe house, Sam and Bucky had gone to bed early and you found Zemo sitting on a sofa, reading a book. Happily, you took a seat beside him making him look up at you and smile.
"I hope today hasn't been too hard on you y/n" he murmurs, closing his book so that you had his undivided attention.
"It's the same as every other day really, it feels like we are no closer to stopping Karli than we were when we started... but there has been something on my mind recently"
Zemo tilts his head curiously, "Pray, tell"
"Zemo... I like you, well, more than like you. And I know I shouldn't! But I can't help my feelings towards you, not when you have been so kind and generous to me this whole time"
When you saw the horror upon his face, instantly you felt scared that you had made a fool of yourself, and had reputedly damaged your friendship with him.
"It's okay, you don't have to love me" you quickly told him, "I just... I needed to say before something happened to either of us"
This was exactly what Zemo had always wished for yet feared at the same time. Now you were going to get hurt because of him, if he died, which was his plan, you would be deeply hurt and Zemo knew he just couldn't do that to you. Blast the plan, blast his self-loathing thoughts towards himself. He would do anything to save you from hurt, and he knew deep down though he didn't think he deserved someone like you, he was deeply pleased by your confession.
His hand slowly reached out and grasped yours, pulling it up to his lips.
"I am deeply honoured by your confession" he whispered against your fingers, "and I must admit I harbour the same feelings towards you and would like to be able to court you, though perhaps Sam and James shouldn't be told"

Wrong Numbers and Useless Gays Chapter 4
Sad Boys and Fun Facts
Patton’s a sad boi but Virgil has a distraction
Chapter 3 | Masterlist | Chapter 5
Three weeks had passed since Virgil had first texted Roman. In those three weeks, Virgil had learned a lot about his new friends.
First, there was Patton. God, did that man love puns. Virgil also loved puns, but he preferred reading Patton’s puns over making his own. Remus had caught Virgil blushing at his phone and made a comment about his new “friends with benefits” (Virgil had been unable to respond. He was too busy trying to hold back his giggles from one of Patton’s pun tangents). Patton also made it clear that he was the “Dad Friend” of the group. Virgil couldn’t type a single self-deprecating comment without Patton threatening to physically fight him. It was rather terrifying, really. He also made sure that everyone was taking care of themselves. Once they learned that they were in the same timezone (They hadn’t shared cities yet. Friend or no, Virgil was telling where he lived in that quickly) Patton made it his goal to check in and make sure that Virgil ate at mealtime. One last thing about Patton was his… struggle with technology. He tended to send almost everything directly to the group chat instead of private messages. Logan said that he tried to teach Patton how to do so, but the lessons never seemed to stick.
Speaking of Logan, the nerd had his own quirks. He didn’t type much, usually only responding when someone required everyone to respond. The other time that he typed was during debates. Nine days into their friendship, Virgil had mentioned saying “you too” to a cute barista and claimed that he ruined any chances with his new crush. While Patton and Roman offered words of encouragement, Logan remained silent. Virgil had assumed that Logan agreed with him but didn’t want to upset his boyfriends. As soon as their conversation ended, Virgil received a private text from Logan, requesting to debate. They argued over cognitive distortions for a whole hour before they reached a compromise. Logan had called the debate “lit” and asked if they could debate again in the future. That was another thing about Logan. Apparently, he had vocabulary cards for slang words. When he was talking out loud, he would hold the card up so the others knew what slang word he was attempting to use. When texting, he would put quotation marks around the word. It was adorable, in Virgil’s humble opinion.
Then there was Roman. Princey was known for his dramatic flair and Disney references. When he was feeling especially Extra™ , he would use “thees” and “thys” and call people peasants. He also had a love for nicknames. Patton had very few personal nicknames, with most of them being terms of endearment like “honey” and “amor.” Most of Logan’s nicknames pertained to him being a nerd, such as “pocket protector” and “Microsoft Nerd.” He seemed to have a limitless number of nicknames for Virgil, with most of them referencing his emo-aesthetic (how Princey had discovered that so early in their friendship, Virgil had no clue). He never repeated Virgil’s nicknames; the only exception was “storm cloud,” which he tended to use at least once every conversation.
Virgil had become extremely close with the trio over these three weeks. That wasn’t the only thing he did, just the thing he did most often. The Dark Sides had finalized their contract with Thomas, who set up a tour almost immediately. Virgil really should have seen that coming. Their band had become extremely popular over the past few years, and they had only done one tour before this. Performing across the country would help boost their popularity even further. Virgil sighed, his anxiety spiking at just the thought of seeing all those faces in the crowd. That was why he used the persona Anxiety. Anxiety wasn’t afraid of anything, he was fear. Being Anxiety allowed Virgil to be confident and suave without worrying about judgment. They judged Anxiety, not Virgil. The case was similar for Janus and Remus. Deceit was elegant and mysterious, while Duke was loud and over-the-top. They didn’t have to be rejects wanting to fit in with society. No, they were Rockstars. Society wanted to fit in with them. And Virgil was just fine with that.
Bzzz
Vigil glanced over at his phone. He was in Los Angelas right now, around halfway through his tour, which put him 3 hours behind his new friends. He glanced over at his clock, 9:45 PM glaring at him through the dark. He turned back to his phone. Why are they up at 12:45 in the morning? I know Logan keeps them on a rigid sleep schedule.
P- (9:45 PM) Ro? Are you still up?
V- (9:45 PM) Pat, why are you still up?
P- (9:45 PM) Why are you still up, kiddo? It’s almost 1 AM! Don’t you have a hangout with your friends today?
Virgil sighed, thinking of the concert he had tomorrow. He glanced over to his sketchbook. Patton had been really impressed with his sketches, so he had been practicing less gory drawings to show him. It had evolved into something almost therapeutic. Knowing how he worked, Virgil would probably sketch until around 2 in the morning, then sleep until 8 AM. The concert wasn’t until 7 PM, so he had enough time to sleep in if necessary.
V- (9:46 PM) First of all, you know I’m in California right now. It’s 9:46 for me. Second of all, we’re not hanging out until tomorrow night, so I can sleep in if needed. Third of all, you’re avoiding the question: What are you and Roman doing up at 1 in the morning? I thought you guys had work in the morning.
P- (9:47 PM) We do. Roman got a burst of inspiration at around 10, and he usually refuses to sleep until he writes it all down. He probably fell asleep at his desk, that silly billy!
V- (9:47 PM) That doesn’t explain why you’re still awake. And why didn’t you get up to check on him? I thought you guys lived together.
P- (9:47 PM) We do! I just couldn’t fall asleep tonight. And the bed’s too warm to get up!
V- (9:48 PM) Well, Princey’s probably being a “sleeping beauty”
Virgil frowned at his phone. Patton hadn’t responded to his text. Sure, that wasn’t a very good pun, but it was still a pun. Patton laughed at every pun he saw, or at least followed it up with another pun. He could be asleep, but didn’t he just say that he had trouble sleeping?
V- (9:50 PM) Pat?
P- (9:50 PM) Yeah, Kiddo?
V- (9:50 PM) Are you okay?
V- (9:52 PM) Patton?
V- (9:52 PM) I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said that. Just because you didn’t answer my pun doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with you. I’m sorry that I sounded like an asshole.
P- (9:52 PM) No, Sweety. It’s fine! It’s nice to know that someone cares about you!
P- (9:53 PM) I’m just a little sad today.
V- (9:53 PM) Do you wanna talk about it?
P- (9:54 PM) I’m fine, Kiddo! This just happens sometimes. No need to worry!
Virgil sighed, thinking about how much Patton reminded him of Janus. Janus grew up neglected, and was taught to convince everyone that his life was perfect. By the time Virgil had met him, Janus was 19 and a compulsive liar. Virgil wasn’t much better, having just gotten kicked out of the foster system. Virgil lived with Janus (and soon Remus) until The Dark Sides had enough income for Virgil to live on his own (technically Janus had more than enough money for that- his parents were loaded. But Virgil wanted to have something that he earned. He wasn’t just some charity case). When they first lived together, Virgil could never tell what Janus was actually thinking. It took a lot of time and trust to separate Janus from Deceit. Now, he was still heavily sarcastic, and he tended to close himself off when he got upset, but Janus had come a long way.
Virgil looked back to his phone. Patton didn’t seem to have it as bad as Janus did, but you could never tell. At least he acknowledged that he wasn’t okay. There is the chance that something really is bothering him, but Virgil had to trust Patton on that note. It is entirely possible that Patton is just feeling down today; God knows how many times Virgil would question why he should get out of bed. He bit his lip. What helps me when I feel sad for no reason? He smiled, remembering when Remus would spout the most obscene things to distract himself from his own negative thinking. A distraction.
V- (9:56 PM) Did you know that giraffes can clean their ears with their own tongues?
P- (9:56 PM) What?
V- (9:56 PM) “Rhythm” is the longest word in the English language that doesn’t have a vowel.
V- (9:56 PM) Elephants are the only mammals that cannot jump.
P- (9:57 PM) More like Elecan’t!
V- (9:57 PM) Haha :)
V- (9:57 PM) Without food coloring, Coca Cola would be green.
V- (9:57 PM) A 3-year-old boy was elected as mayor in Dorset, Minnesota
P- (9:58 PM) No way!
V- (9:58 PM) Yes way! His name was James Tufts.
V- (9:58 PM) 7 different dogs have been elected as mayors in the US.
P- (9:58 PM) I love dogs! They’re such good boys!
Virgil smiled, adding Loves Dogs to his mental list of Quirky things I like about Patton Morale. They continued to talk about dog mayors for a while until Patton ended it abruptly.
P- (10:14 PM) Why are you doing this?
V- (10:14 PM) Doing what?
P- (10:15 PM) Why are you going out of your way to try and cheer me up? You should’ve stopped talking to me 20 minutes ago. Instead, we’re laying here at 1 AM talking about dog mayors! I would have been fine on my own. Why are you wasting your time on me?
V- (10:16 PM) Pat, if you tell me that I’m wasting my time talking to you, I’m going to have to physically fight you. You are my FRIEND. I care about you. When you’re sad, I WANT to cheer you up. When you’re happy, I WANT to laugh along to your punny jokes. Because I know, at the end of the day, if I was sad and needed someone to cheer me up, you would do it in a heartbeat. You, Lo, and Princey are amazing people, and my time spent with you will NEVER be a waste. I swear.
Virgil sighed, dropping his phone on the bed. He might’ve been too forward with that last text. But it was true. While the four of them weren’t nearly as close as Virgil was with Janus and Remus, he still cared about them a lot.
P- (10:18 PM) Thanks, Virgil. That really means a lot to me
P- (10:18 PM) I’m gonna try and get some sleep now
V- (10:18 PM) Alright Patton, Goodnight
P- (10:18 PM) Goodnight
The next day, Virgil saw a postcard in the window of a gift shop. It had a puppy with sunglasses on the beach, with cartoonish letters saying “Having A WonderFUR Time!” He took a picture and sent it to Princey.
V- (1:08 PM) What’s your address or PO? I wanna send this to Patton.
R- (1:09 PM) Say no more, Hot Topic!
V- (1:09 PM) Aw, you think I’m hot.

Okay I somehow just managed to see your Sk8 character rankings so in hindsight, I’m super sorry for making you reexplain some of this stuff. I do get you’re second point about Shadow too. (And how ppl def show their true faces when they’re wearing masks) The lasers and stuff are shown as gimmicky toys so I agree that the damage they could do has been kinda ignored bc of what you said about Shadow being a comedic character. I do feel though that Adam shares a certain recklessness just in a different, more subtle way. While the only time we see him directly attack a skater at all is Cherry, I think you could argue that he is emotionally manipulating/terrorizing/coercing most of them. Being mean isn’t a crime obviously (everybody just brushes off Shadow’s threats so it’s not abnormal for the nature of S) and people are ultimately in charge of their own safety, choices, reactions, etc. But Adam has a pattern of egging on skaters in a way that to pushes them to the point of getting hurt. Like by holding onto Reki and keeping him physically safe, he terrified that boy without any remorse when he could have just let Reki skate freely. And I may be wrong on this part bc I’m not sure of the ep, but I think that in a flashback a skater actually did fall off a cliff while skating with Adam because he was pushing the skater to live up to Eve standards of being interesting and pushing safety limits. He’s like the kid who jumps off a bridge, but while actively telling you bridge jumping is the only way to be cool and worthy of him. It’s pretty much coercion. Cherry and Joe confronted Adam in the flashbacks because there was a pattern of him irresponsibly encouraging others to follow him in unsafe skating situations above their skill level. Adam’s ideas around skating make him dangerous in a different way from Shadow that scares characters rather than irritating them like with Shadow. Shadow has a jerky persona but mainly just wants to win and Adam is messing with people kind of just to see if they can take it or because he finds it fun. So basically, just pick your preference for mainly physical or mainly emotional trauma 😃/hj (I’d lowkey choose Adam because his dramatics are superior. I am so incredibly entertained whenever he does his lil heel toe tappy dance and the theme music turns up lmao)(And I know it’s just rich ppl shenanigans but skydiving into S with 1000% confidence he won’t miscalculate and *smack* the stage is kinda an iconic move)(Plus, imagining all the bizarre orders Tadashi has had to do for the sole goal of adding flair is so funny to me)
Thanks for letting me know about the potential other shady stuff. That does make me a bit more invested in that plot line. As much as I see Adam hate, I still forget details of what they set up bc it feels like ages ago lol.
And good luck with the WIPs + future stuff!! I don’t think we share any other fandoms but it’s still really nice that you have works you can enjoy spending time writing 😊
It’s fine, I have way too much Sk8 stuff on my blog (and only recently realized I could condense my long-ass ask responses), so some of it probably gets lost, lol.
Adam absolutely fucks with his opponents mentally. But the way I see it, it’s his way of testing other people’s love for skating (and again, trying to prove that he loves it more). If they really love it, then they won’t let him fuck them over (like Langa), and if they rediscover their love after his mindfuckery, then they can get back on the board again (like Reki). But if they get badly physically injured, then they can’t return no matter how they feel about it, so I believe Adam intentionally attempts to avoid that because skating is his safe space/where he can be free, and he doesn’t want to permanently take that away from anyone else if they want to be there. This is all just my theory though. And it doesn’t justify him terrorizing his opponents. xD
There was a skater who fell off a cliff against him, yeah, but I frankly don’t blame Adam for that. He had no direct influence on that incident (unlike the situations in which he’s grabbing his opponent, or even his Love Hugs, or if the accident had been caused by throwing fireworks/shining a laser in the guy’s eyes). The nature of anyone who is excellent in their field, especially in sports, is that people will admire them and attempt to emulate them, even if it’s beyond their ability. How many kids got hurt, maybe even seriously, trying to copy one of Tony Hawk’s tricks? Like you said, people are ultimately in charge of their own safety, choices, reactions, etc. Sure, Adam is closer to Cherry, Joe, and his prospective Eve than Tony Hawk is to his fans, so they have the opportunity to show off/try to impress him directly, but in the end, it’s their own decision. His prospective Eve believed that he could make the turn, so he tried, and he failed because he overestimated his ability. Was he influenced by Adam? Undoubtedly. But is Adam to blame for it? No more than Tony Hawk, in my book.
Yeah, no problem. I’m not “gung-ho” about Adam being in jail, I just think that’s the likely conclusion. I get your confusion, though, because the reasons that the haters want him in jail isn’t the reason he’d actually be going. The anime has been really vague about what he actually did to merit an investigation, but he definitely did something sketchy with another Diet member and committed perjury with regard to it.
Haha, thank you! Though “enjoy” is such a weird word to use to describe my fanfic writing. I’m in such a love-hate relationship with it. I have so many ideas, but when it comes to actually setting them down, it’s torture. xD

Boo! - Yoosung Kim
Another day, another part of my randomly generated Halloween “series” of one shots. Today is bb Yoosung. If you saw this posted already 👀 no you didn’t.
Warnings: spoilers for Yoosung’s route
Prompts: haunted house, bb is scared, make out in a secluded spot (I swear I didn’t make this happen y’all could’ve gotten apple cider but this is what the generator chose HAHA)
Summary: Yoosung, freshly injured, wants to spend a fun Halloween night with his partner. He thought after he took all that pain he’d be brave enough to conquer a haunted house. He was wrong...
Yoosung has planned out the whole date. It was your third time going out together since the RFA party. His eye injury had healed considerably, but he still had to wear an eyepatch when he was out and about or focusing so that he wouldn’t get headaches. Still! He didn’t let it get him down. In fact, it made him even more confident. You would never have expected him to plan everything out like this when you first met over the messenger.
It was definitely a Halloween date. Of course, it was Halloween, but what really hinted you in was Yoosung asking you if you had the stuff to dress like a pirate. After a quick run to the store you did.
In fact, you looked kinda hot ? Like not to flex, but you did look really good, bandana and poofy shirt and all. He has asked you to meet him at his apartment and then the two of you would start the date together.
It hadn’t dawned on you why he chose pirates until he walked out, fully dressed. You had just assumed that was the costume he already had and would be easy to coordinate. But nope. It was because, well, his eyepatch. You covered your mouth to hide your shock upon seeing him.
“Pretty smart huh?” He asked, putting his hands on his hips proudly.
“Can I laugh?” You asked timidly, moving your hand away from your face slightly so he could hear you.
“Please do! This was the plan.”
You burst out laughing. You walked over to him and gave him a hug. “You’re literally the cutest, Yoosung.”
“Okay here was my thought process,” he leaned against his door, preparing himself for his story. “You remember when you were trick-or-treating as a kid and it was cold and you had to put a jacket on? That might be too specific... but you know what I mean?” You nodded, listening intently. “But then the jacket ruined your costume and you were all upset. So you vowed that the next year your costume would be something warm with long sleeves so you wouldn’t need a coat. That’s what I did. I didn’t want my eyepatch messing up the costume.”
“It makes the costume,” you added.
His cheeks flushed bright red. “You look really nice by the way. Really, really nice.”
You finally took a good look at him. He looked pretty dashing as well. He has a floofy shirt on too, with a pretty deep cut V-neck, laces tying it up pretty tight to avoid showing much skin though! He paired it with a red vest, some dark jeans, and boots. “Aw you do too Yoosung! I really like the look. I feel like most men’s pirate costumes are like... goofy, but yours looks really good on you,” you babbled on. He simply chuckled in response.
“So, uh, what do you say? Are you ready to see what I have planned?” He asked, hands shoved into his pockets awkwardly.
“Yes! Please tell me!” You grabbed his wrist and pulled lightly. He got the message and pulled his hand out to intertwine it with yours.
He swung it as he walked out the door with you. “I thought maybe we could go to a haunted house.”
“Nuh uh! Have you ever been?”
“Uh...” Yoosung looked at the sidewalk. “Not really. But I bet it’ll be fun!”
“Definitely. I might get scared though. Sometimes these things are really good but other times they’re laughable,” you explained. You knew your fair share about haunted houses and things; you just wanted to prepare him beforehand.
“Don’t worry. I’ll protect you,” Yoosung puffed out his chest. “But, uh, will you drive us?” He asked. He had led you to your car. You giggled and got in, beginning the drive, Yoosung feeding you directions.
The place was kinda scary honestly. Okay, it wasn’t really a haunted house per say, but one of those places with multiple “fear buildings” set up. The goal was to get through as many buildings as possible, one leading to the next, but there being an area in the middle where you could get refreshments and take a break if needed.
Still, the atmosphere was spoopy. Someone at a nearby building was reviving a chainsaw, the buildings looked dreary and abandoned, and you could hear screams nearby.
“Sounds scary,” Yoosung commented, a smirk on his face.
“You’re so brave lately,” you giggled, grasping on to his arm.
“If you think about it... I was literally tortured. I think I can handle people jumping out yelling ‘boo!’ at me,” he joked, rolling his eyes.
You laughed at his joke. “I don’t think they’re going to yell ‘boo!’ Yoosung. That would not be very scary.”
“Well why don’t we go find out?” The two of you began walking to the first building. You had to wait in a bit of a line to enter, people all bloodied up walking back and forth past you, jumping at those in line. “You can hold my hand if you want.” Yoosung commented. You grabbed onto his hand.
The first room wasn’t that bad. There were lots of twists and turns, and it was kind of hard to see in the dark, but nobody jumped out at you. A table moved. Yoosung jumped, looking underneath the table to make sure nobody was there. You dragged him along, not wanting to find out.
The next room looked like a jail cell. A girl covered in blood was rocking on her heels, muttering the phrase ‘help me’ over and over again. Again, you did NOT want to face this girl. They usually weren’t too bad unless provoked. But Yoosung had never been and wanted the full experience.
“Stop! We’ve gotta help her,” Yoosung pouted, pulling you back into the room.
“I don’t wanna,” you complained, pulling in the opposite direction.
The girl pounced at Yoosung so quickly that you didn’t even see it happen. She was screaming. He was screaming. You were pulling him to the next room.
Here’s the problem with screaming in a haunted house. When the workers know you’re easily scared, they just keep it coming.
The next room was neon rainbow. The lights were so bright your eyes had trouble adjusting. Oh hell no. A guy was disguised with the wall, running at you. This time, Yoosung pulled you along.
You slowed down while heading to the next part of the building, pausing to catch your breath. “Having fun?” You teased.
“No!”
You stopped. You hadn’t expected him to admit it. “Oh. I’m sorry.”
“I’m not brave. I wanted to be brave for you and I can’t do it I don’t like it,” he ranted, nervously fidgeting with your hands.
“That’s okay. You’ve been so brave. It’s okay to be scared,” you comforted. “Let’s take a break after we get outta here, okay? We’ve just gotta make it out first.”
His eyes were determined. It was like you were speedrunning the haunted house. Every time someone jumped out at you or something fell towards you, Yoosung kept moving, pulling on your hand. He wouldn’t even glance in the direction of the commotion. You were out probably in record time.
“Congrats!” The clown at the exit exclaimed. “You’ve made it through the first trial. If you’re ready for the next, it’s right down this path.”
“Hell no!” Yoosung exclaimed, running from him as well.
You were trying so hard not to laugh. You would agree, it was an overwhelming experience, but Yoosung was just so unbearably cute. He pulled you towards the center where the more frightened parties gathered.
“I don’t wanna do anymore,” he whined. You could see a tear in his eye. You felt kinda bad, even though it was his idea to do this.
“I’m sorry,” you sighed. You cupped his face in your hands. “Are you okay?”
He pouted, puffing his cheeks out. It made you laugh again. “I’m scared.”
You stopped for a moment, weighing your options. “I can help you take your mind off it if you want,” you suggested innocently, a finger stroking lightly under his jaw.
He gulped and nodded quickly. You two had kissed before, obviously, but not too much. He was a little eager when you did, though. Maybe it was how attractive you both looked in your costumes, but you both just really wanted to make out.
You led him back toward the car, but he couldn’t seem to wait that long. His eyes glanced at the building next to you, the seventh trial, as it was marked. Once you got close enough, he pushed you to the wall of the building, pinning you against the stone exterior. Your head bumped against the wall and you let out a little noise of shock, but ignored it for the most part.
His lips were on you before you had time to think. He wasn’t as slow and as loving as he has been the past few times. His lips, and his tongue at that, were passionate, leaving you no opening to come out for air. His mouth dominated yours, and you let out a small sigh as he continued. He pulled back for a moment, biting your lip before giving you an opportunity to breathe properly
“Jesus Christ Yoosung,” you panted. He took a step back instinctively. Even under the moonlight you knew he was blushing bright red. You grabbed at his waist and pulled him back to you, almost flush against you. “I didn’t say to stop,” you grinned, capturing his lips in yours again.
Your leg hooked around his waist to pull him closer, his hand moving up to your chest. Your eyes were shut right, focused on how good his touch felt. You grabbed a lock of his hair to pull him closer; he let out a small whimper, swallowed by your lips, but you still heard it. You were so caught up in the taste of him, the feeling of his fingertips grazing your skin, that you hadn’t even noticed...
“Boo!” You heard. Your eyes opened quickly and you jumped, bonking your forehead against Yoosung’s, who had also jumped. It was the clown from earlier. “Might I suggest you two carry this on somewhere else? This is a family-friendly establishment,” he teased. His whole spooky persona was gone. He seemed more like a tired teenager at this point.
“Oh! I’m so sorry!” Yoosung apologized profusely. He let go of you and distanced himself a little bit between the two of you. “Yes. Thank you. We’ll be going now.”
He started walking stiffly and you followed beside him, grabbing his hand again, swinging it along. “Don’t be embarrassed. We’ll never see that guy again,” you spoke aloud, noticing how sweaty Yoosung’s palms were.
“I... I... that’s not it.” He shook his head aggressively. “That... was really hot.”
You laughed, unlocking the door to your car. “Sure thing, especially the part where you actually got scared when the guy said ‘boo!’” He sighed, looking at you expectedly as he situated himself in his seat. You had to deliver. “I told ya so,” you grinned, winking at him.
“If I remember right, you jumped too.”
“Hey, watch it.” You put the car into drive. “Or we won’t continue what we’ve started once we get home.”

Making Descendants likeable to me and only me but maybe you if we have similar tastes?
Part One: Mal
The best way to ‘fix’ Mal, is to give a context to her actions, have her grow from them, and change for the better, a standard thing really.
In movie one the main thing Mal has to learn is to grow out of her mother’s shadow. A lot of what she does is to be like her mom, there’s a whole song about it, but to make it the driving force of her first step in her arc is a good way of going about it. Have her initially be against the date with Ben because her mother wasn’t the dating type. Have her interest in magic be because her mother is. Then her telling her mother off at the end of the third act all the more climatic.
The other thing is to remove the manipulation of Ben with the love potion. Instead, it would make more sense to infect Audrey with some kind of hatred spell. Audrey already doesn’t like the Core Four, so the spell just makes her more obsessed and spiteful of them, therefore Audrey has more reason to want revenge on Mal in movie three other than stealing her boyfriend when the spell breaks.
Movie two‘s main arc is trying to figure who she is by going back to her roots, magic and then the Isle. Her conflict with Uma is more a result of her pre and post Auradon side as she still cares about Ben, lovable puppy that he is, even when she’s trying to be the person she was before. However I am going to get rid of the whole love spell thing Uma does since magic doesn’t work on the Isle and it’s never explained how she got off the isle and did the spell
Tumblr media
By the end of the movie, Mal embraces the better parts of her old self and the better parts of her new self and along with having one of my favourite movies endings with the dancing boat scene, she tells Ben her actual real faery name, a sign of utmost trust: Morgana.
Movie 3 is more like a tv show with an A plot and a B plot. A plot is “actions have consequences” primarily focusing on what she did to Audrey. B plot is “how to keep her deal with Uma without endangering the people she cares about” because in case anyone forgot the Isle holds people like: attempted murderers, actual murderers, abusive parental figures, people who have committed high treason, people who have attempted regicide and/or identity theft, attempted animal murderers, people who are willing to manipulate a teenage girl who’s stuff got destroyed to gain power, a jock, whatever the fuck Captain Hook was trying to do. It isn’t safe to release them onto Auradon and just assume their grudges will go away.
By the end of the movie when Hades, who isn’t her dad in my version, gets on his high horse, Mal rightfully admits it was her fault Audrey went this far but also that Audrey is like seventeen, nobody died, and that there was little to no collateral damage. As for the whole villain kid parent thing, Mal and Ben reinstate something I’m calling the “Villain Rehabilitation Act” which is basically a rehab/help centre type thing that allows villains who want to change the opportunity to change in things like a larger scale Remedial Goodness class, finding jobs where their skills come in handy, and finding Auradon citizens who are willingly to help them get better.
Also due to fairy physiology, Mal should have wings. The basics for me is that a fairy’s shoulder blades are more pronounced to act as the breaking point for wings, but because Mal was on the island the anti-magic prevented them from growing out properly but also technically hid the pain so when she reaches Auradon she has back problems and what looks to be fractals from the damage her lack of wings has caused. It also acts as a catalyst in the first movie when she goes to Fairy Godmother for help and kind of experiences genuine motherly affection as Fairy Godmother breaks the unofficial rule not to use magic to break Mal’s wings out of her back with as little pain as possible. Like all wings they’re translucent with fairy magic in a physical form being the sparkles/glitter, but hers are dragon shaped.
Part Two: Evie
Since I can’t just make Evie the protagonist without doing a bunch of movie rewriting, we shall keep Evie as the deuteragonist/tritagonist that she is. Also like the others, her character arc is handled in the movie and then she’s fairly stable for the rest. Evie’s major character arc in movie one is to not trade her passions to get the guy. This is dealt with through her two most defining relationships in Auradon: Doug and Ben. While Jay is her best friend, more on that in a the next part, it’s those two that basically help Evie to ditch the persona she had put on. She’s still boy crazy and wants a nice castle, but she should be herself. Evie is fashion savvy, empathetic, and genuinely smart and she shouldn’t throw it out. By the time two and three roll around, she’s got an upcoming business, a sick boat party to look forward to, and is making bank by embracing and sharing her fashion. Her time on the Isle isn’t ever really discussed because for a good portion of it, she was locked in her house for not inviting Mal to her birthday party, so she actually knows the least about the Isle. However, that is unimportant as she acts as the bridge between Mal’s old and new self having figured out how to be her best self without getting rid of the person she was, and in movie three she’s legit done with all the fighting because she is the most emotionally mature which is why she suggests the ice breakers because Audrey is clearing a danger to herself and others and we don’t have time for your power trips.
Part Three: Jay and Carlos
You know when we reach the “and” I’m running out of stuff to do. This is probably where we reach the point where it’s primarily background or aesthetics that change more than a storyline.
Jay is the only member of the Core Four to be born in Auradon. His mother is alive and well. Just before our gang was born, the Villain Rehabilitation Act happened, and Jafar decided why not in a ploy to get power, but then befriended and fell in love with Jay’s mom, but the act was revoked for unknown reasons and Jafar, as well as baby Jay were sent back to the Isle, even though Jafar was one of the least dangerous villains at the time. So technically for Jay, Auradon is a chance to meet his mom. Which he does on Family Day before the whole Queen Leah drama. THe other notable thing about Jay’s past is his friendship with Evei, which began when he broke into the castle to hide after stealing some stuff for his dad and Evie hiding him from her mom. Friendship blossomed from there and the two will often hang out because of this.
Carlos is both easy and hard to work with. For example, appearance wise he would have movie two hair, the peak hairstyle honestly, but everything about him personality wise is a lot more… poised. He still likes tech, but fall out of the limo he does not. However he’s not great at talking to people without being kinda bitchy. His main issue with Jane is her lack of self confidence, so even after the hairstyle upgrade in movie one he still kinda sees her as spineless though he’d never say it outloud.
His arc is friendship through the doggo and like compliment sandwiches. Taking care of Dude and having to give positive critiques teaches him empathy, constructive criticism, and a better way of complimenting people by pointing out the effort a person put into something, even if the result isn’t great. There’d be a part of the dance in movie one where Carlos tells Jane that her problem isn’t her appearance, but her lack of confidence and offers to help her figure it out. Also his crush on Jane stays but the whole having trouble asking her out is either ignored or dealt with very quickly. Like they’re about to go to the Isle to get Mal back and Carlos spots Jane and asks if she’ll be his date to Cotillion if he gets back in time for it.
Part Four: Ben
The gist is that a single strand of his dad’s curse is in his  DNA and fairy magic can strengthen it, so for movie one, other than the whole Audrey thing, his major conflict is that he’s in love with a woman who can legit turn him into a beast. I mean there’s magic water and true love, but it’s still a terrifying thought to him, especially since Ben is a total sweetheart and doesn’t deserve it. Interestingly enough, he finds that nothing actually happens when he’s with Mal until movie two when we learn Fairy Godmother was requested to bury the curse so on the Isle, where magic doesn’t work, he’s basically a ticking time bomb since the beast curse was still gaining strength from Mal’s untamed magic and since it’s also genetic, it can affect him on the Isle. It mainly takes the form of claws and being a bit more on edge. By the time they return home, the spell is placed back on him, and is subsequently broken again in movie three. Ben can’t catch a break, but once the whole enchanted water puts him at a halfway point, he learns of Mal’s deal and brings up the old Villain Rehabilitation Act since it’s what he based his exchange program on and is able to find the moving fairy cottage by following the smell of Audrey’s perfume. Movie three’s whole thing is the acceptance that his curse is kinda cool and that fangs are fun.
Part Five: Antagonists
Movie two has Uma as the antagonist with Harry and Gil as like lackeys. Uma does not hate just Mal. Evie, Jay and Carlos all got to leave the Isle and get a better life, but Mal had power on the Isle and even though Uma rose when she left, she still feels it was just given to her. Her goal is to truly beat Mal so her power feels justified. Harry goes along cause he’s like lowkey in love with Uma, but like he just has a general thing for confident women and gravitated to Uma due to shared interests, and Gil had nothing better to do. That’s why he’s the odd one out. Somehow after the whole Ben kidnap fails, Uma escapes the Isle but rather than mind control Ben cause no thanks, she decides to ruin cotillion. Unlike before, Uma has been humiliated by Mal, so attacking the boat with her octopus tentacles is a pretty big fuck you. When that fails she hides out in her mother’s old lair until movie three. Meanwhile Harry and Gil are left with trying to hold the crew together but by movie three it’s broken up which is why Harry and Gil decide to break out and are less then excited to see Uma initially since she abandoned them. But again, they’re happy that she’s back. Harry does kinda break away from Uma such as complimenting Evie back after she compliments his accent, but it’s Gil who has the best character arc as he becomes part of a himbo duo with Jay. Gil honestly doesn’t need to change, he's great as he is.
So we’ve already covered movie one’s antagonist, Audrey who was a means to an end created by Mal and while Mal does break it, I don’t imagine she apologized for it. So she vanishes before the dance sequence and goes to deal with every that’s happened and also probably to be a witch on the Charmed reboot, I don’t know for sure. But movie three Audrey is a different story ignoring the end, which was talked about as well. Audrey’s primary goal in movie three is to get back at Mal which is deserved, and Queen of Mean is a bop so it’s staying. The downside is Audrey is so invested in revenge she doesn’t think to stop using Maleficent’s wand which was created to be used by a fairy. Fairy wings basically act as a magic battery, constantly replenishing the magic used by spells, so when a human, like Audrey, uses it, when it runs out of magic, it’ll use Audrey’s life as energy ie. it puts her in a coma. When Audrey does wake up thanks to Hades, she finally gets her apology from Mal and while they aren’t friends, they don’t hate each other. She also trades the pink for blue as pink reminds her of things like activating the curse on her ex-boyfriend or locking Chad in a closet.
Next is Hades who isn’t Mal’s dad. That was kinda dumb. His plan is mostly the same, escape the Isle by making people feel bad for him, but again, Mal doesn’t fall for it at the end, not only by pointing out that she pushed Audrey into doing that while no one did to Hades, sure he was stuck in the underworld but he never tried to find a positive in it, and you know, people died during Hades’s titanomachy. By the end however, he is allowed to go back to the underworld rather than the Isle.
Part Six: any other characters that are primarily just minor fixes that don’t need their own section
Doug is fine. While he does have a crush on Evie, his primary goal in helping her is just that. There’s no ulterior motives. Also his season three hair is a yikes.
Chad is also fine. I like that he’s clearly got good self-preservation skills shown in movie three, and giving him claustrophobia helped me sympathize with him.
Jane is a top tier character, fight me. Major difference in movie one is that her following of Audrey in movie one is because she wants to be liked and thinks that’s the fastest way, but she doesn’t insult Mal, and actually asks to have her natural hair back after the whole dance thing.
Lonnie, proving mlm wlw solidarity is great. I like her friendship with Jay in movie two and her being a boss as bitch and also when she puts her foot on Chad’s back to make doing push ups harder because Chad still sucked in movie two.
The og parents are fine. Dizzy is great, wished we had more of her in D3.
Part Seven: should’ve been a show
And I don’t mean like Wicked World, which like the books is non-canon in this, but like an actual tv show. So much could’ve been done with the Isle that just wasn’t. Mal probably wouldn’t be such a contentious character if we didn’t have to cram the plot into a two hour movie. They wouldn’t even need to start the show with them meeting, since they could follow the format of Once Upon A Time and have each episode show things like how Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos became friends, or how the whole Shrimpy thing happened. Descendants, and Barbie Princess Charm School, would work better as a tv show over a movie. At least I think so.
There it’s done.

oh yall thought i was done x posting? lol. kamui character rant under the cut
the thing about kamui is i dont know that hes a very deep character??atleast not how clamp has written him and esp not in the manga.
he spends a lot of the manga being confused and often manipulated. and hes really just a kid.
his first big character arc is debastardization basically. when hes introduced hes a TOTAL asshole (the anime added scenes to make him more of a dick at the start but also has a bit of an explaination? ill get to it). hes shown as very rude to everyone around him, yelling at people to get out of his way or get lost, including his previous friends. hes also shown to have absolutely no care for his surrondings and regularly fights and uses his powers in places where bystanders could be injured and leaving roads bridges or nearby buildings in ruins. when confronted about the latter by hinotos knight (his name is saiki) he straight up says he doesnt care if anyone gets hurt. which i mean ok nothing wrong with a character being an asshole. the extreme in your face way kotori and fuuma describe kamui as a kid being very shy and Very quiet and gentle makes this characterization confusing but hey people can change i guess. the confusing part is that as kamui slowly beings to let his guard down he says that the big reason he was so standoffish especially wrt kotori and fuuma was because he wanted to keep them at a distance so they wouldnt get involved with all the end of the world stuff. which makes sense obviously! kamui was absolutely aware of how dangerous it might get. his entire plan was to get the shinken (the sacred sword) and bail because he didnt want any part of any of it. what i dont get is why he was totally cool with bystanders being injured or killed. during his fight with saiki they were in a neighborhood! on people roofs and shit!! saiki is the one to lead them to an abandoned construction site so no one gets caught in the crossfire. and kamui almost kills saiki!!! which i will let slide a bit because kamui was being followed and had been attacked by spells literally that morning. but later on he apologizes to saiki but never explained his reasoning why he didnt care about destroying peoples houses??? and its never brought up again?????? also theres a scene added to the anime where he kicks the shit out of kotori and fuumas dad??? because he wouldnt give kamui the sword?? bro thats ur best friends dad you jackass!!!!!
in the anime they added flashbacks for the time after he moved away from tokyo which i think make his whole character make much more sense. when he first moves and goes to a new school he accidentally uses his powers and makes everyone afraid of him. fast forward past elementary school to high? school? its unclear. at school hes a lazy slacker that never goes to class and never talks to anyone, big ol loner. he sees that a local gang has been stealing kids money and beating them up. so he decides to put on a tough guy persona and confront the gang telling them to knock it off and scaring them shitless with some fun ass kicking psychokenesis. now i am SO on board with this addition. kamui being ostrisized for being weird and scary when hes already a super shy kid, so he embraces this scary intimidating image and tries using it for good because hes still ultimately kind hearted. he gets too absorbed in this tough guy persona that he loses touch with the original purpose of it and just uses it as a shield because he himself is afraid and confused. and maybe even hiding behind it because hes so afraid of having this huge destiny that he doesnt know if he can live up to and how can someone who decides the fate of the world be just some quiet oversensitive guy.
except all of that is my own speculation and analysis because they really do not go into ANY detail about this. i wouldnt say its to the point where it feels like they just flipped a switch and hes nice now but it def feels like that. and it annoys me because after he kind of apologizes for being a dick it doesnt really get brought up again?? i think he broods over it once or twice. but i would have really liked to see flashes of it coming back in high stress situations or something? he has a lot of points of grief and depression but its always meloncholic rather than angry and it really makes him feel like two different characters i wish it was way more of a mix.
anger would also be good with the whole overarching theme of trying to break out of the path destined for you. its constantly said that theres only one future by the dreamgazers although hinoto wants to change it. its supposed destined that kamui will lose and earth will be destroyed. anger but more importantly PASSION is whats needed break out of what has been preordained and to carve your own path. passion is also whats needed for the main part of the second half of kamuis character arc, figuring out what it is he REALLY wants. what his true wish is.
i also think anger could have been a good inverse to the deliberate mirroring of kamuis character and subarus character. subaru really represents despair and being completely swallowed by grief. his story is that the man he fell in love with (named seishiro) was just manipulating him for fun and is actually an emotionless assassian. subaru is so destroyed by this realization he goes into a depression and because of this is unable to save his sister being killed by seishiro. his goal is literally to be enough of a nusance to seishiro that hell kill him. literally he wants to be acknowledged as important enough to bother killing. its pointed out often how subaru and kamui are so similar, with how fuuma killed kotori, and how theyre both kindhearted ro a fault. its an intentional reflection. subaru even pulls kamui out of a similar depressive state after kotori dies. he and kamui have a whole heart to heart about how some peoples happiness can look pitiful to others and how hes going to fufill his goals even when other people are worried for him. and most importantly about how not everyone can be happy with an outcome. i think it would have been really good for subaru to represent someone overcome with depression about how awful the world is and paralyzed with that sadness and kamui would be the rightous anger and compassion needed to actually change the world. “lets this radicalize you rather than lead you to despair” you know? it would have been a really good parallel considering part of x’s themes are literally about having compassion for humanity. but that reading possibly shoots itself in the foot because the language used wrt the two possible futures are things to stay as they are or for a “revolution” to occur, meaning killing everyone to let the earth heal. so ideas of change are insinuated to be connected with the seven angels and genocide. which uh. not going to get into that.
i do like when he starts going to the clamp school he goes back to being shy and quiet and kind of gets pushed around by people with more force of personality. very fun uncomfortably relatable. its ok man im extremely passive too.
anyway final thoughts kamui needs more passion. clamp give me the rights. also let subaru and kamui hang out and have a brotherly bond. no creepy shit. just subaru being an akward older brother that knows what kamuis going thru and gives bad advice bc he has god awful coping mechanisms.
side note we arent ever told about his likes/dislikes hobby or anything of that nature. the blankest of slates. so my city now. i think hes into obscure indie music and has thousands of hours in various life sim games like animal crossing and stardew valley.

MEDITATIONS ON A STRONG MAN... (REPOST)
Since this is the last episode of a series that has taken years to release, I asked (or attempted to anyway)  pretty much every person who was involved in this project if they'd like to say a few words regarding their thoughts on this series and working on it.  So without further ado:
HeatMetal - Founder of Over-Time, Translation checking for last dozen or so episodes, Coolest Dude in Town
stronger is good even though his costume is weird
Steel A Jeeg - KITsubs co-founder, Lead Editor for post-sjutton eps, occasional timer, old person
"Jeeg may have won the battle, but the war still rages on. Onward down the endless road of battle."
sky79 - Timing & Lead Translation episodes 23-39, translation checking for 1-22 v2s
(ANY COMMENTS MOCKING HER SPELLING WILL *NOT* BE TOLERATED)
Something about Stronger? Hmmm.. actually I think it's one of the borest KR series. Especially in the middle, when they revived Titan. But on the other hand, it shows some good scenes, when "villians" are fighting (or at least they try) between themselves for the position they have (or which they could have). I was disappointed when they showed Tachibana as comic chara. .mean, he doesn't deserve it. He is someone, who fought with all Riders after all, so I thouhgt it's somehow
And Shigeru .. he alone is a chara, I wasn't sure how I should feel about at beginning. Sure, he is hero, who protects the world, but the way he uses is a little too "showy". Like he thinks, no one is better than him. But there is something heroic about him. Would you be able to remodel yourself for the sake of your friend? Or something else? He threw all his life away, since the result was him being a cyborg. What could mean, he is immortal in some sense. So he lives forever, even when all his friends or people he knows aren't here.
And in the end, he stays alone. That's sad, don't you think? I think, the decision to remodel oneself takes courage to do it. In the end, when I knew the actor is dead, I've started to like him. Because, we will never see him like that. The actor is dead. In the last episodes, he was similing so brightly and happy, that I could only cry. We will never see that smile again. And the feeling which he gave with his smile at that time was really nice for me.
What I am thankful for is, that this serie brought all the Riders together. This is something I like. I still think the Riders are living in one universe so they should know each other. Going Fighting only alone is something I don't prefer. Showing, that there are others fighting with you for the same goal, is the thing I imagine, when I hear the word "Rider".
About Yuriko. I was crying when she died. Really.  It was such sad ending. And something I thought it's useless. Why couldn't she stay alive? It would be nice to see, how are both of them living after the end. Happily ever after? Or living apart, and remembering the fights they fought together? Since they both liked each other, is there a way they could have lived together? This we will never know.
I'm not sure if I said everything I wanted I've never thought about talking about it
Abigail - MCS co-founder, Editor for first half of series, occasional timer
I truly enjoyed this series. A fun main characer, fun villians, and silly Showa plots come together in a good way and puts this up there with Black as my favorite Showa Kamen Rider series.
It was fun working on what little I actually did to help sub Stronger (which really wasn't much at all to be honest), and I hope you all had as much fun watching it.
I want to give a special thanks to Jeeg and the KitSubs guys for helping us finish this after real life happened. You guys are amazing.
So with that, I end this post of my thoughts that no one actually cares about with this.
RIP Titan and Shadow, you were too good for this world and I really wish you would have got to fight with each other the entire series. Finally, may Stronger continue to fuck with people forever more.
Zetta - MCS Co-Founder. Belgian, Translation checker for episode 1 and first few post Sjutton episodes.
Stronger is a cool guy and I'm happy he's completely subbed.
Ryoma - Editing for first half dozen eps, All around Deutschbag
I never thought I'd see the day where Stronger is fully subbed... also screw you, Cas.
Sandy - Timer involved with v2s of episodes 2-21
As a series, Stronger has a dedicated spot among my favorites of the Showa era. As a hero, Shigeru has a dedicated spot among my favorites, ever. Stronger is an exciting, emotional ride, from beginning to end, and I’m beyond thrilled that it’s finally been completed for everyone else to enjoy. Soar through the sky!
Bunny Hat - DVD Encoder, timing assistance, master of DVDs
[Don't really have anything to say] other than how much I hate it when Toei uses laser-disc masters for DVD releases.
Kilo - Project Organizer, distro & Editing, useless
I can almost remember it like it was last month when Abi was talking to me about stuff he had going on and I offered to help with a certain project that was giving him minor technical headaches.  I didn't really know what Kamen Rider was aside from references in Kururu Gunsu.  But I just fell in love with the persona of Jo Shigeru.  The actor portraying him had this (to use a now overused phrased), arrogant swagger that exuded strength and confidence.  Along with delightful side characters like Tackle and Tachibana and over the top villains like MISTER TITAN, it started me on this path to obsession with tokusatsu, kamen rider and fansubbing.
I've made friends, I've lost friends, I've lost sleep, I've laughed and cried.  I'm not sure if I'd do it all over again, but I'd definitely be drawn to and etertained by Stronger no matter how my life turned out.
I'm extremely thankful to everyone who... well "assisted" is too light a word to describe all the manhours and effort put into this project, but I'm happy to have known them all and that in the end it wasn't all for nothing and that now lots of people can potentially enjoy this show as much as I did!
Champstice - Timer involved with v2s of episodes 2-21, Irish Person
Stronger is a show of firsts: First time a rider had a powered-up form, as opposed to just having a sound effect play. First time the antagonists truly fought amongst each other, as opposed to the occasional internal quarrel that usually ended with an evil character that appeared only in that episode being killed off. And the first time we had a female Kamen Rider (Frankly, SPIRITS only explained why she wasn't considered a Kamen Rider after she died, not why she wasn't considered one while alive).
At the same time, it's full of the same spirit and energy that makes Kamen Rider so enjoyable to watch. At least to me anyway. I hope everyone that's been watching Stronger since it was first picked up by MCS truly enjoys watching it's finale. And to those of you that plan to watch it at some point, whether it's soon or not for ages:
Honestly, you're in for a treat.

Whiplash | Bad Boy! NCT Yuta (M) P.2
Tumblr media
 P A R T  T W O
Description: “They say good boys go to heaven, but bad boys bring heaven to you.”
Genre: bff’s ex/ badboy angst | fluff | romance WC: 6.1k Warnings: alcohol, recreational drug use and distribution, graphic smut (angry sex) unhealthy possessiveness, profanity
(A/N: It’s probably necessary to read part one but this is basically the chapter where all the drama happens sooooo)
“This scene looks familiar!” Eunji says jokingly as she comes through her apartment’s door, hands laden with bags of ice cream and junk food.    You grumble as you snuggle into the cocoon of blankets you have made for yourself, an astronomical belt of wrappers and trash surrounding your figure.    “So. I bought peaches-and-cream ice cream along with vanilla bean, 2 bags of onion rings and like some gummy bears. Good?” Eunji kneels down and starts sweeping away the trash from your bed.    Your head pops out and you mumble your thanks as you open the onion rings bag, greedily stuffing the high-sodium into your mouth. Eunji laughs at the sight of your cheeks being stuffed with food and shoves a bit to the left as she settles herself into your bed.    “If you told me two weeks ago you would be crying over a breakup with the same boy I was crying over, I would have never believed you,” Eunji muses, staring up at the whirring ceiling fan.    Your best friend was surprisingly un-shocked when you told her that you fucked Yuta and then consequently dumped him. She didn’t get mad or hold a grudge, but only looked at you sympathetically.    “Well, here we are now,” you sighed.
Tumblr media
“Pick your poison! Popcorn, Hot Tamales, Doritos, or candy corn? Also, I brought the Hunger Games,” Taeyong exclaimed as he burst into your apartment laden with bags, his ears red from the cold.    “Why the fuck do you have candy corn? It’s the middle of February,” you criticize, peaking your head out of your cocoon of blankets you have set up for yourself.    “Look, they were on sale, okay? And I bought—” Taeyong held up a bag that was roughly the size of medium-sized rice bag “like 50 million of these fuckers. For nine dollars. Is that a steal or what?” he laughed.    At this, you gasped dramatically and your glasses slid down your nose. “What would Mrs. Lydia and her health pyramid say about that?”    “Her? Fuck our Health class, it is totally acceptable to live off of candy for a week,” Taeyong muttered as he plopped his butt down onto the couch next to you. He held up the plastic grocery to your perusal.    “Hot Tamales?” You scrunched up your nose, seeing the flaming red and yellow packaging stuffed in the bag. “Who the fuck likes those turd nuggets?”    Taeyong froze and turned slowly towards you, an expression of shock and disgust on his face.    “Turd nuggets?! Hot Tamales is God’s invention!”    “In what world? Hell?”    “I’ll have you know that only intellectuals eat Hot Tamales!” Taeyong defends, swiping the remote from your hand.    “The only people I see eating Hot Tamales is you and, like, Kim Kardashian. What does that say about your IQ level?” you quip back.    At your admittedly brilliant comeback, Taeyong floundered like a fish, mouth opening and closing several times before he childishly turned away, clutching the bag.    “You know what, meanie? You can’t have my snacks!” he pouts.    At his adorable pout, a wave of laughter erupted from your lungs. Taeyong could always raise your mood, no matter the state of mind you were in. In fact, Taeyong (and maybe Eunji) have been your pillar of support these past few weeks. Even if his first initial reaction was to beat Yuta to a pulp when he heard you spontaneously start sobbing during a phone call, he heeded your words and calmed himself down. While stewing in his anger for Yuta, he was an absolute angel. You wanted pizza? He said he’ll be there in 5 with a 4 cheese pizza. You looked down? He dragged you to an amusement park and stuffed you full of cotton candy. It was certainly a departure from the frat boy persona you had seen him grow into as you two grew apart, and it was… nice to see the boy from your childhood again.    “Taeyong!”    He didn’t budge.    “Taeyong, please?”    Not a single twitch.    “Taeyongie?” you said hesitantly. It was his childhood name.    At this, he turned his head around in shock only to be met with your pathetic eyes of desperation. He pursued his lips, but you could see his resolve crumbling before your very eyes.    “Agh, fine!” he exclaimed, surrendering the snack bag.    Everyone in the world could burn as long as you had him by your side.

Later, when your head accidentally fell onto his shoulder while the Tributes were being introduced, snuggling and mumbling complete gibberish, Taeyong felt a warm feeling in his chest.    If this what the future looked like if he took a chance—    It would be totally worth it.

“Taeyong, I know you have girls to fuck, parties to throw and people to slow down, but I have to be somewhere!” you seethed at your best friend, dragging him out of the lecture hall.    “Calm your tits, woman, I’m trying to pass this fucking class!” Taeyong shot back, running a hand through his black hair as you strode down the hallway.    “By seducing the teacher? Tell me more,” you replied dryly.    “What can I say? To reach their goals, others fly, others walk, and I just sweet-talk my way there,” the handsome boy smirked, eliciting a short laugh from you.    He was so cute but so greasy. Taeyong noticed you smiling slightly, and a crease appeared between his shaped brows as he contemplated you.    “Why are you smiling like… like one of those Barbie dolls?”    You turned your gaze towards him and your soft smile turned into a smirk. “Are you comparing me to a Barbie doll, Tae? I didn’t know you saw me like that,”    Taeyong uncharacteristically blushed, and started stuttering out his apologies.    A wide grin split your face as you laughed at his red-faced complexion. The way his eyes widened even further, his stutter and the way he kept shaking his head was adorable.    “No, but, for real, this might seem random and all, but I really wanted to thank you for what you’ve done the last few weeks. Like, I don’t think I would’ve passed my classes in my current state of mind without you or Eunji. So, erm… thank you a lot,” you awkwardly smiled, and rested a hand on his forearm.    Taeyong looked like he wanted to say something, but his eyes caught onto something behind you and his happy expression vanished with a snap.    “Y/N, come on. Why don’t we go the indoor route? I heard it was going to rain in a few minutes.” He started to tug at the hand you rested on his arm, pulling you towards the double doors you just exited out of.    “But the weatherman said there was a zero percent chance of rain—”    “Well, well, well, look who it is— the new campus couple,” a voice drawled from behind.    You froze.    You knew that voice.    That voice seduced you with its honeyed words, grunted in pleasure whenever he came, and the voice that wasn’t there when you kicked him out of your apartment.    Yuta.    “Y/N, c’mon!’ Taeyong tugged more insistently now, but you were frozen in place. A rush of memories accompanied that voice and you could only stand, helpless, against its overwhelming force crashing into you.    “W-What do you mean, campus couple?” you stuttered, eyes taking fleeting glances at his face.    A huge smirk broke over his features as a devious light entered his eyes.    “You mean you don’t know?” he asked, playing with your confusion.    “What?” you frowned.    “Y/N, don’t sit here and listen to this lying motherfucker!” Taeyong hissed.    Yuta’s eyes drifted over to him and imperceptibly frowned, before covering it up with a taunting expression.    “Isn’t obvious—”    “Y/N, let’s go.”    “— that he’s in love with you?”    At first, you wanted to deny it. Because of Taeyong? The boy you knew since you were in nappies? The one that pulled at your braids and cried because his Disney cap strap snapped at his chin?” No way.    But the more you thought about, the more Yuta’s sudden reveal made a bit more sense. No guy who drifted from you after freshman year in college would do that much for you unless his feelings ran... deeper.    Taeyong had stopped trying to pull you away from Yuta and stood uncomfortably next to you like he was ready to shield you. His back was tense and his expression was pinched. He looked so discomfited that even if he wanted to protest, his body language gave it away.    You frowned and opened your mouth to ask Taeyong, but Yuta interrupted before you could.    “So he hasn’t made his move, based on your reactions. Huh.” Yuta shifted his eyes is to Taeyong, who looked like he wants to run away but also fight.    “Well, I have.”        Taeyong froze.    “Oh yes, I definitely made my intentions known on Y/N. It was— what, 3, 4 months ago? Yeah, that was a good night,” Yuta chuckled, the perfect picture of lazy confidence.    “Yuta, shut up,” you hissed, looking worriedly at Taeyong who was turning a ghost-white.    “Princess, you don’t want me to. Honesty is the best policy!”    You gritted your teeth at his light-hearted comeback, but otherwise stayed silent and still. What could you say in the face of that?    Yuta walked slowly towards Taeyong, like a predator stalking its prey. “How does it feel, Lee?”    Taeyong, now at least a bit recovered, shot Yuta a dirty glance. His posture was coiled tightly. “How does what feel, Nakamoto?”    “Knowing I was making her cum while you were wishing you could even touch her?”    “You piece of motherfucking shit!”    Taeyong leaped at Yuta, who dodged easily as if he were anticipating the strike. Your best friend recovered and tried to land a punch at Yuta’s jaw but Yuta had already kicked him in the ribs.    “What the fuck?” you exclaimed in disbelief.    Taeyong gritted his teeth and went back on the offensive, trying to land a blow on Yuta. He managed to get through some Yuta’s defense, some that would definitely bruise, but not punishing enough for his anger. Yuta, however, kept an infuriating smirk the whole he was dodging.    “Can’t pass a test, can’t score a girl, and apparently can’t throw a punch!” Yuta taunted.    “Yeah? Well, I’m not the one who’s spreading fucking STD’s around campus!” Taeyong shot back and at the same time smashed his knuckles into Yuta’s mouth.    Yuta paused for a bit, both retreating a bit. He swiped the back of his hand against his bloodied mouth and turned serious.    “Looks like pretty boy has some bite. Not bad.”    Yuta then went on the offensive, landing punishing blows Taeyong bravely defended against. You could see a red flower bloom on Taeyong’s eyelid as they kept fighting.    “Yuta! You piece of motherfucking shit, stop it!”    He ignored you, as per usual.    “Taeyong! Do you remember what you promised me?!” you shouted desperately at Taeyong.    “I don’t really have time for that now, Y/N!” he yelled.    “You promised, Taeyong!”    He paused momentarily at the despondent tone in your voice but Yuta took that as an opening, knocking a punch into Taeyong’s already bruised eye.    You ran, stupidly and blindly, to pull back Taeyong. Yuta almost continued forward but stopped himself    “Do you remember, Taeyongie?” you whispered into his ears, a hand on his shoulder.    He shuttered his eyes painfully and sighed, as his shoulders slumped.    “Yes.”    “Then?”    “...Fine.”    You sighed in relief.    “This is disgusting,” Yuta complained, crossing his arms.    “You!” you rounded on him. “You piece of motherfucking shit. Rot in hell for all I care!”    You took Taeyong’s bruised arm lightly and dragged him off.    Yuta stared at your backs walking away and clenched his fist until he could feel his blunt fingernails digging into his calloused palms. His chest felt like someone had just stepped on it, crushed his ribs, and stomped on his lungs. Your face of utter anger and slight shock was burned into his retinas. He wasn’t an enough of a romanticist to say it felt like his heart was crushed, but what was he feeling in his chest?

It’s been a few days since you witnessed Yuta and Taeyong exchange blows in the courtyard of your college campus. After getting Taeyong home and cleaning him up, it quickly grew awkward between the pair of you as the weight of his said/ unsaid confession pressed on you both, but you fled his apartment before it could get any worse. You hadn’t come back since.    But beneath your skin, hot anger towards Yuta’s behavior simmered like a boiling tea kettle. Where the hell did Yuta get off behaving like this? What right did he have to expose one your friend’s insecurities that drove a wedge in a great friendship? What divine being allowed for him to taunt you like this, so bold to start a fight?    It built over the few days like a tsunami wave behind your eyes. It grew when you saw someone getting high behind the sciences building and expanded when you heard your neighbor’s cries of passion late at night. You should’ve known it would’ve boiled over at one point.    As you were exiting your 3 o’clock class, Yuta’s figure rounded the corner with his hands casually tucked in his pockets. A black backpack was slung on his shoulder, while his earbuds allowed him to tune out the rest of the world.    A flash of bright red anger flashed behind your eyes and you could feel your shoulders tensing up. You wanted oh so desperately to go over there and slap his pretty face, bruise it and blacken so it would at least come close to the damage he inflicted on your heart.    Your chance came when he neared your spot near the bathrooms, and you recklessly stepped in front of him.    Yuta stopped, raising an eyebrow while pulling out his earbuds. “Oh? Princess? Are you here to come back and confess your eternal love for me?” he smirked.    Your lips curled at his casual arrogance. “No, Nakamoto. Not now and not ever.”    “Harsh, but soon you’ll find yourself alone in bed and remember the feeling of my hands on you. You will never get over me, Y/N,” he pronounced with such certainty that it infuriated you.    “Where do you get off speaking like that, huh? First to me, and then to Taeyong! There was never need to push him like that, you piece of shit!” you hissed, careful to be relatively calm in the deserted hallway.    Yuta’s gaze grew a bit more serious, until the slight smirk he had on his face disappeared and was replaced but a frown. “He would’ve kept pining after you like some pathetic puppy, and I can’t stand to see shit like that.”    You poked a finger into his chest. “Taeyong is a great person! He’s my best friend and— “    “-- your secret admirer. Tell me, how have you two been for the past few days? He finally confessed?”    You stayed silent, while he stared at you smugly.    “Avoided each other, huh? Che, what a pathetic—”    “You, shut up! He’s done more for me in the past few weeks than you have ever done since I met you!”    The corners of his lips turned down until his face was perfectly serious. “Say what you want about me princess, but you can’t say I haven’t done anything for you. I cared for you after we had sex! I cleaned you, I stayed with you,  I… held you!”    Frustrated tears came to the corners of your eyes. “Yeah? And while you did that, you fucked girls behind my back and never bothered to make me feel like I was wanted. Newsflash, Yuta, of course, I wouldn’t be grateful because you fucking used me!”    Yuta’s lips smashed into yours hard, pushing you against the concrete wall of your college. His hands came up to cup your jawline, desperately tilting your face to receive his passion. In the midst of his tongue clashing with yours, you could feel his anger and frustration and jealousy poured into your kiss. You didn’t know you could make him lose his composure to this degree, and it was… hot.    He drew back suddenly and grabbed your wrists, dragging you behind him until you reached an empty classroom oh so conveniently placed right next to your previous classroom. He threw off his bag and ripped out his earphones, cornering you against the wooden door of the classroom.    “You… make me so… angry,” he murmured between liplocks.    And you? You knew you should be pushing him off, kicking him in the balls until he couldn’t reproduce, but it had been so long since you had felt him pressed up into you with his cologne making you dizzy and the familiar hardness of his sculpted chest. Your body was betraying you, and it made you mad.    You pressed back into his kiss, actually contending for dominance which took him off guard. Your tongues and teeth clashed together as you both tried to express your anger and frustration into this kiss, unable to properly confront it.    You could feel your lips bruise as he moved down to your neck, harshly biting and nipping at the delicate skin of your neck. Your head was tilted up in rapture you clenched at Yuta’s shoulders so hard that your fingernails were digging in.    Quickly, he divested you of your shirt and his. He continued his nipping and sucking down to your chest as he pulled up your skirt to your belly.    Yuta fingers pulled down your panties, exposing your pussy to the air. While his lips were on your chest, you helped pull down his tight jeans and underwear.    You gripped his cock tightly in your palm, harshly stroking it up and down. He groaned angrily and you could feel his fingers dig into the flesh of your waist. You totally knew it would bruise.    “Stop it, princess,” Yuta protested, but you kept going. You had his cock in a vice grip, rubbing your thumb over his head that was oozing precum.    He gripped your wrist and pinned it behind your back, gaining back control. He lifted you up over his the head of his cock and slammed you down, both of you eliciting groans at the familiar wave of pleasure.    His grip loosed on your wrists as he instead clamped his fingers of your waist. He pistoned his hips up into your pussy as you whined pitifully in an open room.    “Fuck you feel so good, baby, I fucking missed this,” he hissed.    His cock, slightly curved, rubbed against the walls of your pussy in a way that drew the most pleasure from you. Your back was slammed painfully against the wooden door but it was overridden by the pleasure the man in front of you was giving.    “Yuta!” you cried, tears that were angry and full of pleasure running down your face.    He grunted and increased his pace, slamming into you so hard that every thrust he did make your butt clang against the door. If the hallways were empty enough, any person who wasn’t an idiot would know what was happening this door.    Your nails created angry red marks against his back while he buried his head into your shoulder. There were pain and pleasure, anger and lust surrounding the pair of you in a haze, intoxicating you until all you could think about was the person seated inside you.    Yuta groaned lowly and his hips stuttered, his previous rhythmic drive pushed away in his orgasm. You arched your back into his chest, clenching your eyes tightly as you orgasmed right after him. You could feel your fingers digging into his back and blood underneath your fingernails, and his back flexing in pleasure.    The both of you panted heavily, finally coming back to the world. Your hazy eyes caught on his discarded shirt on a desk and your breath caught in your throat.    Holy fuck, what had you done?    You just had a quickie with a man that emotionally ruined you for other men, making you unable to trust anyone or anything. Just willingly spread your legs for him to hump his merry way into.    You pushed away from him hurriedly, pulling up your cum-covered panties and pulling down your extremely ruffled skirt. You slipped away from him and the door frame, grabbing your materials in a rush.    Yuta looked at you with wide eyes and extended a hand forwards like you were a skittish doe.    “Y/N—”    Cutting him off, you pushed through him and ran into the hallway with no destination in mind.    You didn’t look behind, but heard his frustrated “fuck!” loud and clear as the door was kicked angrily.

The two of you sat in awkward silence, watching the Hangover in Taeyong’s apartment with your usual stash of unhealthy junk food by your side. However, there was no playful banter, snuggling, or food fights only a stiff silence.    You refused to let what Yuta said to affect your relationship, and showed up at Taeyong’s house 8pm sharp with a bag of shit from the convenience store and a blanket. He was visibly shocked but said nothing as he let you in.    He already had some snacks set up beforehand and a movie in his disk player but clearly wasn’t expecting you, only getting one bottle of Coke and one pillow on the couch. Few words were exchanged between the two of you, and eventually just settled into the routine to watch the movie.    An hour nearly passed in silence with only the loud soundtrack of the movie to listen to. You fiddled uncomfortably but cracked as soon as you glanced at Taeyong’s unreadable face.    “Okay, I can’t stand this. Can we… can we say something?”    Taeyong stared vacantly at the screen for a few moments and sighed, running a hand through his fluffy hair.    “Y/N I- I just have no idea what to say,” he managed to get out.    It was silent until you broke it. “I think we need to acknowledge what happened the other day.”    He snorted and leaned back on the couch. “Shoot. Go for it. There’s not much to get.”    “I- Is it true? What Yuta said?” you asked hesitantly.    “...yeah. It was pretty obvious,” he said flatly.    Your lips parted slightly in shock.    “Wha— wh— how?” you stuttered.    He grinned uneasily and fiddled with his blanket. “Y/N, everyone and their mothers could see I liked you. Can see that I like you. It’s just you never noticed, you dumbass.”    You slapped him on the arm lightly and frowned and in return, he gave you a slight smile.    “How long?”    Taeyong sighed and looked up at the ceiling. “Fuck, uh… I don’t know. Since grade school, maybe? I can’t remember.”    “Grade school?!” You nearly fell off the couch.    He raised a thick brow at you. “Y/N, I literally hung out with only you. Remember getting annoyed when your hair would always get loose from its ponytail or pigtails or whatever? That was me. I hated seeing you with your hair up and always tugged it down. For fuck’s sake, I gave you my fucking goldfish and I give no one my food.”    You couldn’t look him in the eye and tried to look at other things in the room other than him. He let out another sigh and stilled your fiddling fingers with his hand, forcing you to stare at him when he turned your chin towards him.    “Y/N. I know we drifted apart during some of high school and some of college, but believe me. I like you. You’ve always been—” he put your hand on his chest, feeling his heart fluttering under your touch “here.”    He leaned forward, desperately trying to impress upon you his years on yearning.    Could you see it? In his lips were the squeals of joy the two of you shared when you play-fought, tickling each other with the unrelenting persistence of 5-year-olds. In his eyebrows you saw that slight slit he cut in sophomore year, his big “fuck you” to his parents even when he looked terrified holding the razor over your bathroom sink, looking back at you nervously for encouragement. In the scar underneath his eye was his embarrassment when he fell down from the swings when he was 10, tears seeping out of his eyes while you sobbed along on the grass beside him. And in his eyes…    Was everything. Every time you’ve been together, you could see it in his dark, almost black eyes.    You didn’t realize you were almost a hairsbreadth from each other until you felt his minty breath wash over your lips.    “Y/N…” he whispered.    “Taeyong…” you said.    He leaned in closer and so did you, but suddenly his black hair transformed into a dark brown, the uncertain lilt to his lips replaced by the devious curve of a smirk, and the edges of his eyes sharpening.    You jolted back from him, the hypnotic lull broken.    He looked at you sadly and averted his eyes away from you.        “I should’ve guessed it, huh?”    “Taeyong, I-”    “You’re still in love with him, aren’t you?”    Your mouth trembled. “... yeah,” you whispered.    He was silent as he buried his head in hands. However, after a few moments, you could see the slight tremble to his back as he gasped in silent sobs, filling every crevice of your heart and cracking it open. Tears splashed onto the comforter beneath him, each one panging deep in your chest like a physical blow.    You hesitantly circled your arms around his shoulders, trembling in repressed emotion. He stood stiffly in your embrace but quickly buried his neck in the crook of your shoulder. Wetness bloomed in the material of your shirt as he sobbed into you, his hands gripping onto your waist and bunching your shirt in his fists. You cried along with him, your face buried in his hair and trying to offer some semblance of comfort while your love for two boys split you apart.    “I shouldn’t. I hate it, Taeyongie, but I do. I do.”

Yuta stared at the murky waters of the campus’ lake, looking at the small fishes dart frantically in the water.    Was he a man that usually did this? No.    That’s why it must have really seemed fucking weird to see a well-built boy sitting pitifully in the grass, spread out on his leather jacket cradling his jaw in his right palm.    Uncharacteristically, the turmoil in Yuta became so great that he made the decision to collect his thoughts by trying to find some bullshit serenity in nature. So far, the wind was blowing his hair in eyes, the bugs were buzzing around him, and his boots were getting dirty.    Not really the ideal conditions to figure out why the fuck Y/N couldn’t get out of his mind.    He groaned and slumped back into the grass, giving up on trying to figure this out. He closed his eyes, deciding to try to slip into a light nap.    However, he felt a figure towering over him after a few minutes and he kept his eyes shut, hoping they would get the message and kindly fuck off. When they remained there still, he cracked open an eye to see who the hell would disturb him with his lips curled into a slight sneer.    When he saw the black hair and angular features of Lee Taeyong, president of Sig Nu and all around nuisance staring down at him, his sneer deepened into a black scowl and he sat up.    “Is there something you want, besides from disturbing my peace?” he said viciously, unable to explain the feeling of red-hot rage coursing through him as he caught sight of Taeyong.    The man snorted and clambered down next to him, not quite invading Yuta’s personal space but enough to make him uncomfortable.    “Frat presidents and people I’ve beaten black and blue don’t usually come crawling back to me. Come back for another reminder?”    Yuta tilted his head to the side and smiled viciously. “Oh, maybe you like the pain. Certainly explains why you’ve been hanging around Y/N so long—”    “Shut your mouth, Yuta. Besides, you say that as if you didn’t have to wear bandages on your face for a straight week,” Taeyong interrupted.    “Then why are you here, Mr. Friendzoned?” Yuta asked deceptively softly.    Taeyong stayed silent but looked him straight in the eyes.    “Do you or do you not want Y/N?”    Yuta was taken aback at how straightforward Taeyong’s question was. He expected some good verbal jabs exchanged before Taeyong revealed his real intentions, but apparently not.    “Yeah? Look, if you’re trying to warn me away—”    “And what are you willing to give up for that?” Taeyong sharply asked.    Yuta was truly set back into silence by the implications of the question but quickly recovered.    “None of your fucking business, Lee. Go back to moping.” Yuta turned away from Taeyong fully intending to leave but Taeyong’s grip on his collar forced him to stay.    “Get your fucking hands off me—”    “I may not be the one she wants, but I’m not going to sit back and watch her be broken over some fucker that doesn’t know what he wants. So tell me, Nakamoto, what are you willing to fucking give up for her?”    Yuta couldn’t answer Taeyong’s straightforward question, and stood there opening and closing his mouth like an idiot. To be truthful, Taeyong’s question struck a chord in him that he had been trying to bury, and was the answer he had been trying to figure out for the past few days.    Taeyong’s grip on his collar loosened as he saw Yuta struggling for an answer, and stepped back into a more appropriate distance.    “You don’t know, do you?”    Yuta stared back at the lake.    “What do you see when you first think of her?” Taeyong asked.    “... her face. Her face when she’s asleep and looks so… so peaceful. So unguarded.”    Taeyong inwardly raised a brow at his unexpected response but kept his face straight. Truthfully, he expected some fuckboy response like “her ass” or “her pussy cumming around me” but got a surprisingly mature response.    “When you see her in pain, what do you want to do?”    “Take it away,” Yuta responded immediately. Beat up whoever the fuck did that to her and… and hold her.”    “You know she’s in pain because of you, right?” Taeyong couldn’t resist getting a jab in.    “...yeah.”    Taeyong looked at him curiously, and as his face relaxed into the mask of realization Yuta felt an uncomfortable swirl in his stomach.    “You can’t get her out your mind, can you? No matter how many girls you fuck or how many blunts you take, you really can’t get Y/N out of your mind.”    Yuta stayed silent.    “I’m right. I’m always right. But Nakamoto: can you really give that up just for one more pussy to fuck? One more night spent getting high instead of spending it with her?”    “... No,” Yuta breathed out, eyes wide.    “Then you know what to do.”    Taeyong patted Yuta on his shoulder and stood up to leave.    “Why are you doing this?” Yuta asked, his thoughts jumbled and out of order.    “...I’m doing this as her best friend, not as… not as the person who wants her. If I have to push away my happiness so she can have a chance at hers, I’m... alright with that.”

You twisted the silver rings on your fingers nervously, trying to get your mind away from the impending meeting in a few minutes or maybe seconds.    This was a bad idea, you thought. A really bad idea.    Really, that had been echoing in your mind ever since you opened your phone, scrolled through your contacts list, and tapped unblock on ‘Yuta’. A voice whispered in your ear to stop as you typed your message, your fingers trembling so bad that autocorrect couldn’t decipher your message. And maybe, just maybe, it hissed furiously at you when Yuta responded. You shivered even when you were in a thick cardigan.    “Y/N,” a voice beside you said softly.    At first, you couldn’t believe that was him. The way he said your name was too tender, too delicate in nature that it couldn’t be whips-and-chains Yuta. You could scarcely even believe it when he stood in front of you like a figment of your fever dreams.    “Yuta. You came,” you whispered hoarsely.    “Of course I did.”    He moved to sit next to you, closer than you would’ve liked, and you scooted away from him slightly. You could feel him still in disbelief before he settled down.    10 minutes must have passed with the pair of you sitting in silence, avoiding each other’s gazes.    “Why did you text me to come out, Y/N?” Yuta asked softly.    “I want to tell you…” you trailed off, reaching a hand up towards his cheek. He closed his eyes and nuzzled into your hand like a puppy, while you stroked your thumb over his fading bruises. “That I want nothing to do with you anymore.”    His eyes snapped open and he jerked away.    “What?”    “Don’t tell me you didn’t see this coming, Yuta. I thought this what you wanted?”    “I did but—”    “Either way, Yuta, I’m making your wish come true. I don’t see the confusion here.”    His confused expression suddenly grew dark.    “Is this because of— what her’s name? Inji?”    You gave him a cold stare and jerked your head no. “Her name’s Eunji. And it isn’t because of her; it’s because of all of the “hers”.    At his confuzzled state, you sighed. “Yuta, I didn’t make this decision lightly. I didn’t just tell myself one day: I’m going to tear Yuta out of my life. You can’t just do that to someone whom you’ve given your entire fucking heart to.”    “So?! I still have your heart, you can’t just leave it behind!” he hissed.    “But I can! Yuta, I love you so much it hurts and yeah, you may have my heart, but look what you’ve done to it! It’s ruined because of you!”    “It should be because you’re mine.”    He said it with such finality that red swam in your gaze. “See? This is the fucking reason. You treat me like complete and utter shite one moment only to get angry and macho when I show some shred of self-dignity. Yuta, I know you haven’t been in any functional relationships, but that’s unhealthy! Manipulative! Grounds for fucking emotional abuse!”    He ran his hands through his hair and seemed lost for words. Suitably pleased enough in imparting your decision, you slowly got up. You left him a mourning stare and slightly turned your head away to cover your trembling eyes.    “This… This is the part where I leave. I’m going to—”    Yuta stood up quicker than you anticipated and grasped your upper arms.    “Would you stop for one moment and listen to me?!” he harshly gasped, eyes trained intently on your wide ones.    “I’m not going to just let you… leave. Just— fuck!”    He swooped in for a kiss, however, with none of the passionate ardor his other’s had. This was gentle, almost casual in nature, but you could feel his desperation in every swipe of his tongue.    “Y/N- Princess, I… I realized how wrong I was after… after you left. I thought I wouldn’t care, that you were some chick that lasted a bit longer than the others, but to my fucking surprise, I couldn’t get you out of my goddamn head. I literally can’t stop thinking about you!”    “Okay, Yuta, but—”    “I spoke to Taeyong,” he interrupted rudely.    “You did what now?!” you nearly screeched, head spinning in this emotional rollercoaster.    “Yeah, I fucking did. And you know what he did? He asked me what I would give up for you.”    “...W-what did you answer?”    “Everything.”    You stared at him in surprise.    “The parties, the drugs, the girls. Even my own fucked up self just so I could… so I could wake up beside you every morning and… and stay with you.” The words stumbled so awkwardly from his mouth, careening sideways like drunkards at a bar that you could see him visibly unsettled. So unused and so unable to express.    However, you didn’t know what to do. Your heart was so set on this decision, so when your assumption that Yuta would just accept it and move on was shredded to pieces, you didn't know how to respond.    “N-no, that can’t—”   “Jesus fucking Christ, why can’t you see I’m fucking in love with you?” he hissed and grasped your cheeks, pulling you to him.    You stood there shock still, tears climbing to the edges of your vision and blurred like your train of thought.    “I- I don’t know, anymore Yuta. I can’t deal with this,” you tearfully choked out. But before he could speak or say something, you tore yourself away from him and strode off with your head in your hands.    For the first time in his life, Yuta was left high and dry.    His heart in his throat.    Heaven hurled to his feet.
(A/N: probs didn’t live up to the hype lol but im proud of it. hope y’all enjoyed it and my fantasy became yours.)
(A/N:Also, I do have a fucking “read more” function on this okay? Don’ t @ me)

NNK2 Thoughts
So with Ni No Kuni 2 having been out for a year now, as well as having the free adventure DLC that just went live, I can finally sit down and talk about the sequel to the amazing first game.
This is long and there will be spoilers ahead, you have been warned.
Combat! The combat of the second game is wonderful and fluid. Blocking, dodging, being able to even attack with ranged weapons like guns and wands at will. It’s really well done and easy to get into the rhythm of combat. I especially like the idea of recharging your mana by hitting enemies with melee attacks, and then using that mana on an empowered weapon for a massive hit in kind. Putting a pause on combat when using items was a nice feature to have as well. And the party AI! Oh, goodness it’s nice. Sure they do silly things on occasion, but they don’t come close the the AI teammates of Ni No Kuni 1. No Esther running into an enemy attack, no Oliver eating every ounce of mana he can as fast as he can. They’re smart! They build charge, they are cautious with spells, they run into healing zones, they back off when on low hp, THEY DODGE ATTACKS. It’s a wonderfully drastic improvement. However, having a limit on each helpful item type per battle was seriously annoying, especially against one of the Tainted dragon mini bosses which, -even with me being a full 10 levels ahead of him- made the battle draw out for far, far longer than it needed to. It wasn’t fun to get smacked for half my hp for the 40th time, and then realizing that I had no more ways to recover hp through items. This is an RPG, not Dark Souls. I have 99 4 Leafed Soreaways, let me use them, dammit. The only thing I really disliked about the combat was the inability to force the enemy AI to target a specific character on my team with a taunt or spotlight or what have you. Which led to awkward situations where- for example- a Tainted monster would suddenly turn on me -mid attack- after having focused an ally for the entire battle.
Aside from combat and story, I really disliked how damn tedious building my kingdom was. It felt like a glorified mobile game. There was even a point where I had to wait for a specific research to finish, so I could move on. This wasn’t one of those “Oh I want more xp before I keep going” kind of things, I had to actually put down my controller for 30 minutes, and WAIT for this research to finish to PROGRESS THE PLOT OF THE GAME, because the game would not allow me to continue until I had done so. Honestly, that’s one of the reasons I probably won’t be replaying this game from scratch. And it’s not due to lazyness. I’ve replayed the first Ni No Kuni dozens of times, hell I’ve even replayed Persona 5 TWICE, which is a 100 hour run each. I’d have no problem replaying Ni No Kuni 2, it’s just the way you progress the story, and all of the shit it’s locked behind is a complete turn off for starting a new game run.
Story wise, the game was... okay. Nothing terrible, but nothing fantastic either. There were a lot of plot points that were either never really answered, or were done so in a way that felt just unsatisfying and copped out. For example how quickly Evan forgave Mausinger for what he had done not only to his father and him, but to the entire kingdom (who then equally forgave him just as quickly).
I was admittedly thrown for a loop and shocked when it was revealed that Roland and Doloran were “soul mates” (a term from the first game that was CRITICAL TO THE PLOT, that meant that two people from different worlds shared the same soul. What happens to one, happens to the other, death or brokenheartedness for example.) Doloran just monologues for a bit about how they “were the same” and “wanted the same thing” (to resurrect a loved one), and ends up asking Roland to join him, but again, as crucial as a point it was supposed to be, it felt very sudden and copped out. Long story short, Doloran had supposedly been trying to manipulate Roland to do things. What exactly? I don’t know, it’s not explained, let alone important in any way. Did he use him to try and sabotage Evan’s kingdom? No. Did he use him to help him steal the Kingsbonds of other kingdoms? No. Did he use Roland to accomplish his goals at all? No, he didn’t need him for any real reason. There was this sudden pressure of “THIS IS IMPORTANT” but it held no actual merit.
Soul Mates weren’t mentioned at all during the entirety of the story, and the developers themselves said you didn’t need to play the first one to understand the second. So to have this “VERY IMPORTANT PLOT POINT”- seriously I can't stress this enough- just suddenly pop up at literally the final boss in the final chapter, with no prior warning or discussion felt downright lazy. It certainly made no sense to anyone that had never played the first game. What significance was it supposed to hold for them? It’s not like this was a cute little easter egg like the Trial of Kings was, what with the Ni No Kuni 1 crew being there, this was supposed to be a BIG IMPORTANT REVEAL. But knowing about the bond changed absolutely nothing about the fight or the story that followed. There was no danger to Roland, no dramatic fight to the death followed by self sacrifice. Doloran just got thowmped, did his evil hocus pocus anyways, and we flew off into the 9th dimension to go fight Bahamut. The only reason the bond between them exists, is so that Roland had a way into Evan’s world, and later a way back, and that’s about it. Sadly there wasn’t even retribution for Doloran for how many lives he’d taken to fuel his Horned One monster (regardless of the fact they were returned after it was killed), nor the damage he’d caused by taking the Kingsbonds (which weren’t returned, by the way). His love blinded ass even created a death dimension dragon that BROKE THE LITERAL SKY, and all he got was a pat on the shoulder and a talk about how sad it was to lose a loved one, and that he would enjoy this new world if he tried.
I.. what? What? Course you could argue that Shadar and Cassiopia from the first game received similar treatment. However, Shadar and Cass fell into a deep despair (from their respective actions, defying orders and saving Alicia, and using the Manna) that consumed them to the point of wanting to inflict that despair on others. Shadar payed for his actions by separating his soul from Oliver’s so that the boy could keep living while he drifted into Limbo / The Afterlife. He didn’t even see himself as being forgiven for his actions. Cassiopia redeemed herself when she helped fight against the Zodiarchs, the abomination created from her despair, grief, and magic that had utterly consumed her for thousands of years. Doloran? Doloran killed thousands of people and threw the world out of balance to get his beloved back, when in fact she was WAY beyond saving, and then did nothing to help defeat the monster he had unleashed. But it’s okay guys, he was in love, he gets a free pass.  I thought this game was supposed to be “more mature” and ‘more geared towards adults” than the first one. So how is it that the first game handles these messages and themes better than the one that was designed to does?
Don’t even get me started on the lame assed bonus ending of “Oh well Evan only united 4 of the kingdoms, you missed all the smaller ones, so your KID went ahead and took care of that in the future and offscreen, and he’s the one that ACTUALLY united the world. He’s the real hero, not you.” Don't invalidate the efforts of the player like that. Don’t.
Aside from the remarkably disappointing ending, there were a few other gripes I had.
So your Kingmaker is Lofty (who doesn’t compare on any level to Drippy’s character, don’t get me started on that rabbit hole) and he’s supposed to impose this weak and downright worthless appearance compared to Longfang, Oakenheart, Brineskimmer, and Bastion. He’s not supposed to be this majestic, powerful dragon like the other 4. Until of course it’s revealed that he IS, he just can’t transform because his bond isn’t strong enough. Cool idea right?
NOT WHEN THE TWIST IS SPELLED OUT ON THE VERY FIRST CUTSECENE WITH THE DECLARATION.  HE’S LITERALLY AT THE TOP OF THE DOCUMENT. IN FULL EASTERN DRAGON FORM. BEFORE YOU EVEN GET TO THE FIRST KINGDOM.
Not to mention the fact that he’s even on the COVER OF THE GAME. Who did this? Who decided this was a good idea? Who ruins their own twist like that?*coughDisneyandTreasurePlanet,no,I’mnotstillsaltyaboutthat, shutup*
And the characters, ohhhh the characters.
Evan felt surprisingly out of place in his own story. I understand that he’s a young king and his character should reflect that, but his growth felt dry and fake. He didn’t really expand as a character, he didn’t overcome his flaws, or grow in any meaningful way. The people around him did that for him. By the end, I cared more about Leander, Bracken, hell, even the other Kingdom leaders than I did about Evan. Evan stayed this cringey child character that didn’t seem to understand very critical concepts about running a kingdom, and the rest of the supporting party was happy to stand back and let the world tick down to literal annihilation as he figured it out on his own. It definitely felt more like Roland should have been the main character of the game. He had more drive and interesting traits right from the start than Evan had all game to develop. Which is incredibly disappointing. I wanted to hear more about Roland’s backstory of being bullied, how he became President, how the literal atomic BOMB going off moments before he was yanked away to Evan’s world damaged his psyche. I will admit the traitor arc was very interesting and had a lot of promise. I only wish it had lasted longer, or had a larger impact on the other protagonists.
Batu and Tani lost a lot of value throughout the game, which is a damn shame considering they were these rough, authority defying Sky Pirates. About the time Goldpaw ran around (which is very early on, mind you) they started to fade into the background, and they were almost forgotten until Roland’s traitor arc, which is CHAPTER 8. OF 9. Let that sink in.
Leander and Braken had a similar problem of being shoved to the side in favor of Evan, but however stayed relevant throughout the remaining story. Although I would have loved to hear more about Hydropolis before the eruption and subsequent daily magic resets. Or more about Broadleaf as a whole, like for example the GIANT FLYING SUBMARINE THE SIZE OF A CONTINENT SITTING JUST 2 MILES NORTH STUCK IN THE ICE? OR THE GIANT CRACKS IN THE SEA THAT GO INTO THE VOID? NO? WE’RE NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT THAT? Okay.
There was just all this amazing backstory and lore that could have been expanded on, like connections to the first game, places and ideas that changed over time. Where did the Higgledies come from? What happened to the familiars? To Wizards? To Nazcaa? To Cassiopia? The other kingdoms? Anything? At all?
Honestly, this game could have come out as completely unrelated to Ni No Kuni 1, and I would not have noticed a single difference. Not that Ni No Kuni 2 is a bad game, it’s far from it. But if you’re looking for an engaging story and have to choose between the 2, pick the first game. No amount of improved combat can redeem a story so desperate to jump the shark, that it falls in and gets eaten.

Between Worlds | 04
Summary: …all you need to know is that I love you, you love me, and we love each other so much, and that’s all that mattered and will ever matter because you are my everything Jeon Jungkook, and I just know that the you that you are in our world, in this world I mean, will find me, the me I am now, whichever world I’m in.
Genre: alternateworld!au
Member: Jungkook x reader x Jimin
Word Count: 4,208
Author’s Note: Hey guys, so I’m really comfortable with how many words this has, I think the past few chapter just had way too many words to keep the reader interested. I tried really hard to finish this when all I had a few days ago was a measly paragraph, but I was really touched by the ask that an anon sent me so I want to thank that anon. Lol, I was stuck in a rut over my disappointment of the original 4th chapter being deleted, but I think this turned out slightly better. Once again, leave asks, or like, follow, or reblog. Thank you so much! I’ll be working on the one-shot series I started so I might not be able to update this right away, but rest assured that I do write whenever inspiration strikes me. Thank you all for your patience with my updates!
Prologue | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
Tumblr media
You watched Jimin dive into the pool which made the others complain. You stared at him until it felt like your eyes were stinging from not blinking enough, you stared at him as he flipped his wet hair and ran his fingers through it pushing it back, and then he waved. You quickly shook your head and looked at him again just as he blew a kiss your way and gestured for you to join them; you smiled kindly and shook your head eating a fry as emphasis that you'd rather eat than play.
And then a forced laugh got your attention and you stared at the boy who'd gotten you out of your predicament with the cd Taehyung gave you. You looked to the side only to come face to face with him.
"You're damn lucky I was the one who came in, what are you even doing here? You should be with Jungkook... Nevermind, that’s none of my business." With a cigarette in one hand and grasping a coffee cup in the other Yoongi let out a sarcastic chuckle, “You know, typically, people put their guard up or build their walls even higher when someone tries to intervene. I mean it’s nice to have someone try and climb your walls but nobody ever wants anybody breaking down anything. It saves you all that agony, pain, and tears in the end that we all dread and especially you, you’ve been tossed left and right I would’ve thought that you would’ve given up by now seeing as how you’re pretty much stuck here, but this time things seem different.”
You already knew what he was referring to, which only bothered you more because you couldn’t even wipe that stupid smirk off his face, “How did you know?” you asked him.
“I’ve seen the way you are with him, and it’s nowhere near like the others. All you ever do is giggle now when all you did back then spit sarcastic remarks back out at everyone in pure comfort, holy hell that mouth of yours was going to get you in some deep shit one way or another,” all you did was slightly laugh at that, “You’ve changed, your persona, everything; now I don’t know if that’s just the real you coming out or if it’s because of him but whatever it is, you’re happy here, but it’s still not where you belong.”
You chuckled, “Was it obvious? This is me not getting attached; my jokes, my rude remarks, the attitude, all that was the Y/N in this world, this is me, the Y/N who’d been brought here against her will. I’ve been toyed around so much these past few days that I’ve even start to pick up bad habits. I joke about it now so that when the real pain hits, my suffering isn’t that bad. We both know how this ends - Tae leaves me stuck here, Jungkook won’t ever remember me and I’m left having to piece together everything someone else created from scratch. Usually people push until the person they’re pushing comes running back, but me, I let them all in, pretend that everything is just fine because they all end up leaving some day.“
“No, no, no,” he said, “this is you falling in love with him and that is you denying it.”
Maybe it was too much caffeine running through his veins this early in the afternoon, but you weren’t falling in love – “With who? Jimin? I know better.” You could feel the lie burn your tongue.
“Not Jimin, I mean Jungkook. You’re falling for him all over again.” He stands up, “If you’re planning on getting Tae’s trust, you can’t do that, all those feeling you have for him have to be shoved away in order to make room for Jimin. Taehyung isn’t exactly someone you can give all your trust to.”
You stared at him and swallowed before speaking, "What do you mean? Taehyung's trying to help me get out of here. That's why he gave me the video in the first place."
Yoongi merely shook his head, "You need to get back to him, to Jungkook. That’s where you belong. Because in the end, that video, the time you stay here, everything, it'll become you. That's why he deleted you, that's why I disappeared for a week in our original world. The longer you stay here, the more you adapt and become the Y/N in this world. I was only able to get myself out of the loop when I agreed to stay here so long as I don't lose my memories."
You shook the distasteful thought of turning what Yoongi would consider a compliment into an insult, "So you aren't rooting for Jimin like Taehyung?" You put your face into your hand and distressingly rubbed your forehead, "I just feel like he's been pushing me into Jimin since this whole thing started."
"Jimin's nice and he may love you Y/N, he probably does and probably always has. He probably thinks about you all the time. But that isn't what matters. What matters here is why these are all only probabilities. What matters is what he's doing about his feelings for you, and what he's doing about it is nothing. And if he isn't doing anything then hell, you shouldn't either. You belong with the guy who's been straight with you from the start; you need to go back to Jungkook. You belong in your word Y/N, I can't be of much help but if you have questions but be sure to contact me if you ever have any questions." He bit his lip trying to figure out how you should act in this situation, "I think for now, you'll just have to do what Taehyung says. Get closer with Jimin, but whatever you do, don't forget. As the days pass, the memories you have now and what happened and what will happen here may blur together, you have to distinguish them. You can't forget Y/N. You have to remember. Nothing I can do will be able to get your memories back if you start to forget."
That day ended with that one goal in mind, do not forget. Yoongi gave you his personal contact number in case you needed help but urged you to try to get everything sorted out by your own means. You lie in bed watching Jimin scurry here to there, with a toothbrush in his mouth as he got ready for bed which wasn't actually with you. He thought you'd be uncomfortable so he suggested that he'd sleep in the guest room while you didn't feel comfortable sharing a room bed with him, and then Yoongi's words strike you, "You belong with Jungkook." What exactly did he mean? Does he mean you couldn't survive without Jungkook? Was that how dependent of him you were?
Jimin came out of the bathroom with water droplets coming from his hair and a towel wrapped loosely around his waist. You watched him as he walked to the closet, his arms were muscled but not as much as Jungkook's, you watched his back as he flexed, reaching for some extra pillows and blankets from the topmost shelf of the closet and met his eyes once he turned around, giving you a smile.
"Wow, you haven't looked at me like that in a long while." He sighed and then quickly backtracked, "Not that I mind or anything!" He laughed nervously.
You shake Yoongi's words from your brain and you take a deep breath knowing what you were about to do would help you, but could also cause problems for you, "Jimin." He stops in the doorway just as he was about to step out.
"Hm?" He smiles at you.
"You should sleep here." You gesture towards the space next to you, "It gets lonely enough as it is."
You watch Jimin as his face gleams in pure happiness; he quickly brushes it off, and clears his throat, "S-sure! If that's what you want." He shuffles to the bed and jumps right in with his additional pillows and quickly folds his pinky with yours
"I know I usually hug you, but seeing as you are how you are right now, I'll just hook my pinky with yours and we'll work from there, slowly but surely." He reassures you, and you realize, in the past 4 years with Jungkook, this was the most reassured you've ever felt, in bed with his best friend and your pinkies intertwined.
In the morning, Jimin's already taking a shower when you wake up to a text. You quickly open your phone, looking at Yoongi's text.
"It's probably best not to see Jungkook for a while...
At least until you can act as if there's nothing going on between you two."
You sigh and stuff the phone under your pillow just as Jimin walked out the bathroom whistling softly.
"Good morning babe." He smiles sweetly, "I need your help today."
You raise an eyebrow at the dye placed in your hand, "You want to go back to black?" You question him, "You seemed to be fine with orange a few days ago."
"Well, I had black hair in college so I thought it could help jog your memory a bit." He looks behind him at you, "besides, you've always like black on me."
The whole morning you spent dying his hair was completely eaten up by the hours he spent talking about college and your parents.
"This actually might sound cliché, but I fell in love with you when I first saw you in sophomore year."
Wait, sophomore year. The year Jimin from your world says he first fell in love. Who did you steal Jimin from in this world? Your attention is caught by the soft pinky currently intertwined with yours.
"You don't need to think about the past so much Y/N." He rubs the back of your hand with his thumb, "I'm here now and I'm with you." He stares i to your eyes. This was the deciding moment, from this point on, you would allow yourself to open up to Jimin, and he will as well.
And for the first time in a long time, Jungkook doesn't consume your thoughts, instead you think of the boy with jet black hair and a reassuring pinky intertwined with your own and eyes filled with so much love, you felt as if you were drowning.
You start counting the months after that day as a reminder that your stay here isn't permanent.
On the first month, you notice Jimin's face up close for the first time. He was sleeping soundly and smiled every now and then, and you noticed the tiny moles on his forehead, his neck, and even his collar bone and you wonder, just how many times the Y/N in this world had kissed those tiny dots imprinted on his skin. That month, he takes you to the library every other week to remind you of your love of books and you let him because somehow, this felt right.
You reach out to touch them, tracing them as if you were playing connect the dots.
His eyes are still closed but he lets out a tiny laugh, "You used to do this all the time." He opens his eyes, "Especially when you knew I was stressed with work."
And all you do is smile fondly at him because in a strange way, you could actually picture yourself doing exactly as Jimin said.
The second month, you don't think about Jungkook's bunny teeth smile anymore, but you do dream of his eyes, only to wake up to a new, more comforting pair already staring into your own. By this month, Jimin grasps your hand in his tightly, even though you don't hold on as tight. The mornings you two share now consist of you cooking and him getting ready for work, and although it is domestic, you can't shake the feeling that this is where you want to be.
You stand in front of the stove making French toast because there wasn't enough time to make pancakes since Jimin wouldn't let go of your hand in bed.
"Smells good." You instantly smile at his voice.
"Oh, hey Jimin. Go ahead and grab the syrup from the fridge." You don't turn to look at him.
He brushes past your shoulder, holding your waist in both his hands, "Sure thing babe."
"Hey, so what's Jungkook been up to lately?" The nagging thought in the back of your mind gets to you.
"Oh you know, he's getting ready for a new gallery opening so he dug up his old camera from college and is backpacking around Korea taking pictures." He shrugs
You place the food on the table standing next to him as you grasp his shoulder tightly, feeling a burning in your chest at the thought of Jungkook.
By the third month, the snow's started to fall and Jimin now grasps your hands in his tightly intertwined with your own fingers. You know there's something wrong with what you're doing, but you can't bring yourself to act upon these feelings, not after all Jimin's done for you. By this time, Jimin's started kissing your hand every morning when you wake up. Your nights are filled with tear stained cheeks and your head clutched in your hands, because all you can hear is that you didn't belong here. Jimin's there though, holding your hands tightly in his reminding you that this was real, you were in this with him. But your dreams were plagued with photographs of places and people you could sometimes recognize and sometimes wouldn't.
“Y/N! Y/N! Wake up! It’s a dream!” You were shaken awake by Jimin, who upon noticed you’d woken up, cradled your head in his arms, “You were crying so much and  screaming.” He speaks into your hair.
In an instant, it’s Jungkook’s face that slowly blurs to clarity in your mind, but you know it won’t stay there for long. That’s why you have these nightmares. There are nightmares you just didn’t want to wake up from. In these nightmares, he’s still in your life. You haven’t left. You and Jungkook still kiss upon meeting, and you still laugh in that musical way you always used to, because just being with Jungkook was enough to have you laughing for hours. Every time, it’s something different you two used to do. Maybe you’d go to different museums even though he always considered you the most captivating piece of art. Or maybe you’re watching Netflix and actually chilling with him. Or maybe you’re just holding each other in silence because the world is too loud. No matter what, it’s always good, great even. So why would you call these dreams nightmares? Because you’d always wake up not with a cold sweat, but with an intense longing and tears that taste like the last kiss you two had shared. Your hands always reach out for him but he’s not there, not anymore. Instead, you’re now greeted by the familiar dark haired boy in bed who would talk until you both fell asleep, whose love was the purest of anything you’ve ever witnessed. Every time, you’re forced to remember exactly how things used to be, just to come back to reality where you two never met in that way. And even though you’re being loved by this man who deserved nothing but everything he ever wanted, you can’t say you wish that you two never did meet.
It was in a chapel, it wasn’t a wedding, but the air was heavy and the benches were empty. Still, you took hold of the waiting hand in front of you. His face was blurry, but his eyes smothered you whenever they flashed clearly in your mind however fast that may have been, and his smile in your fleeting memory had you breathing deeply, this wasn’t a wedding but it was more intimate than any other wedding you’ve ever witnessed. He slowly faced you upon reaching the altar, smiling.
“I know this wasn’t exactly how you pictured a church wedding to be. But for now, this is the best I can do, I know we’re young but I’ve never been so sure of anything more in my whole life. I am yours, Y/N. From the strands of hair you leave on my sheets and the love you believe you’ve lost and will continue to believing despite my undying and unmatched love for you - I am yours. From the tip of my fingers and your cold lips at the end of winter - I am yours. From the way you laugh at my jokes until they no longer resonate within you and the way you make me see red - I am still yours. From the dust of our existence to the sand that will linger on our graves - I am yours. From my scraped knees to your fear of deep waters and heights - I am yours. From your chipped nail polish to the birthmark on your back - I am yours. From the crevices of my heart with its dusty corners to the monsters and demons in my crowded closet - I am still yours. I am yours.”
Come the fourth month, the dreams no longer show clarity, often all you’re left with are blurred voices and faces, with only one person on your mind; Jimin. You notice by this time that he intertwines his fingers in yours just as tightly as you hold onto his and instead of waking up to his face, you wake up to his strong arms embracing your figure as if you were going to disappear. You notice that Jimin starts to pay more attention to you, especially ever since you woke up in the middle of the night from nightmares. You come to appreciate the smaller, finer details Jimin never dared show you the first couple of months.
You’d be stressing about something you can’t remember clearly silently to yourself and he’d tell you, “Stop it, I can tell you’re freaking out over there. It will be fine”. All the while tightly clutching your hand in his because he wanted to comfort you even if his hands were shaking harder than yours in fear that maybe you won’t be able to regain your memories.
If you two were watching a show he would ask you, “Did you see what just happened?” Because he knows how confused you get doing the most mundane tasks, you realize this is because he noticed the blank look you get on your face at random times of the day when you suddenly feel like a memory is making its way back to you.
And before bed, when something’s definitely eating you up that day, or clawing at your brain to be remembered, he’d ask, “What’s wrong baby?” You’d tell him nothing was wrong but he’d just shake his head and give you a tiny smile, saying, “Don’t lie I can tell by the look in your eyes. Tell me.” So you do, you tell him both about fleeting memories going to your brain and disappearing from it.
He walks in front of you going in places because he knows that you always hate being the first one in, especially in big crowds, something that helps you tremendously when you have to go back to work.
“I don’t feel good.” You tell him. “You’re not going to throw up” he reassures you while he rubs your back because he knows that you  have this stupid weird fear of throwing up, but that won’t stop him from always greeting you with medicine for nausea the next morning.
“Do you want to go for a bike ride?” You ask.
He looks up from his readings, “No. But I know you want to since you asked. So let’s go.”
When you’re in a group of people he refuses to leave your side because he knows how anxious you get lately and leans over and asks, “You doing all right honey?”
“Do you want a candy bar?” He asks in the store. “No” You say. He grabs one anyway. “I know you’ll want one later, you always do.”
“I got you a soda with your milkshake because I know how much you love fountain soda.” He says
“I bought a new book yesterday.” You’ll tell him and he’ll say “you already have it finished haven’t you?” and all you’ll do is smile.
“I knew it” he says
He knows you, he just does. Even the little things that don’t matter. He can read every line of yourself you kept hidden for so long and you don’t even have to say a word. You wouldn’t trade it for the world.
The fifth month comes by in a blur, by this point, you no longer remember why you even count the months but you do so anyway. This month changed you. The morning isn’t exactly normal. Jimin wakes you up and you have the strange urge to eat cereal on the floor. You expect Jimin to at least laugh at the idea, but he doesn’t, instead he goes downstairs and comes back up with two bowls of Froot Loops and Trix. You eat your cereal silently both of you choosing to sit on the floor, but you notice he can’t erase the grin off his face.
“What’s wrong?”
He looks back at you suddenly, “It’s nothing, I just remembered something.” He waves you off.
“Help me remember it as well?” You asked him.
His face turns red and he rubs the back of his neck, a habit of his when he gets embarrassed, “It’s just that I proposed to you this way.” He looks away.
You catch yourself smiling before you even have time to process the words coming out of your mouth, “Could you say them? Right now?”
He whips his head back in your direction and smiles shyly, then looks at you in the eyes, as if he were suffocating you with his stare, he clears his throat and begins with his voice soft but firm. You never get to hear him because it feels like you’re suddenly being shoved back, and all you can see is Jimin in the middle of your room, cereal bowl in hand, staring lovingly at you.
He sets the bowl down, and plays with a cube like figure in his pocket, you just finished laughing at something he said, but he only smiled at you before starting “Y/N… You might think we’re too young, but I know in my heart that this is the right thing to do, because I can’t live another day without you and another night away from you. Marry me, Y/N. Let’s spend our week nights eating cereal on the floor when there is a perfectly functioning table behind us. We can go to the movies and sit in the back row just to make out like kids falling in love for the first time or talk about the cinematography like the nerds we are. Marry me. We’ll paint the rooms of our house and get more paint on us than the walls. We can hold hands and go to parties that we end up ditching anyway to drink wine out of the bottle in the bathtub of our home, because you alone are enough and even more for me. Marry me, and slow dance with me in our bedroom with an unmade bed and candles on the nightstand during a blackout or whenever we feel like it. We’ll both go on adventures everyday together, and we will love each other until the end. Let me love you forever, Y/N and marry me.”
Your face turns red instantly and Jimin laughs softly at you, “You remember huh?” He sets the bowl down, “That’s good, you’re starting to remember things quicker than before.”
You approach him, completely ignoring his words and planting your lips softly at the side of his mouth, “Thank you for all these years Jimin. I know it’s been hard these past few months, but you’ve been nothing but understanding, so thank you Jimin.” You embrace him.
He laughs, “Is this just a ploy to get you out of coming with me to Jungkook’s gallery opening tonight?” He jokes and laughs but you can’t ignore the shaking of his arms of the tightness of his embrace, because for once, he was optimistic that you wouldn’t lose your memories of him, so instead of talking, you just hug him back tighter as you felt his tears trickle onto your shoulder, “I’m so happy Y/N.” His voice cracks slightly.
“I know Jimin, I am too.” This time, you weren’t lying, having found your very home in Jimin, the lost pieces you found were disappearing as the months passed, slowly came together piece by piece, you belonged here with Jimin, and nobody could make you think otherwise.
You were happy, the questions you had continued to ask yourself and had continuously consumed your thoughts were finally put to rest, and all it took to unravel everything once again was Jungkook’s gallery opening.

p5 thoughts
After having drawn so much fanart of p5 (most of it being Yusuke) before the game even came out, even with my hype when I started playing on the release date, I only FINALLY finished persona 5 OTL
Below will be my mini-review and thoughts on the game?? spoilers are gonna here on the entire game
Total playtime - 87 hours 40 minutes
OK this is gonna be disorganized mess but i will try to be .. not messy Story: The story unfortunately was very weak :(  Like the game had an AMAZING start and it was tackling really important issues. I really started to care about Ryuji and Ann and their goals. Then Yusuke joins and I thought the game was just heading in perfect direction. Then I felt off during Kaneshiro’s arc as Makoto did not really feel .. really into the whole PT thing?? sorry Makoto fans i love her but she felt rly overrated... anyway Futaba’s arc no doubt was my favorite but then the game really started falling apart. like lets not talk about the whole series of events that were Morgana leaving the team that was straight up BAD. the pacing picked up a bit for the Casino dungeon and it was really intense then its Shido and thing kinda... fell back into this weird pacing ... Ah yes, let’s just wait 20 days to see if Shido has a change of heart or we die. After that the pacing was still all over the place then the huge plottwist happens. I knew about it but still liked it! The last arc had on point emotions and feels so it felt like a good ending to the game.  SEVERE PACING ISSUES KILL THE GAME FOR ME THOUGH.   I get that they still wanted the calendar system but honestly i dont think it worked any huge favors for the game . .. anyway yeah the game started amazing then dropped close to death then picked up again but not as good as the beginning Characters: I have not managed to finish a lot of confidants so near the end the parts where confidants help out it was .. very lacking lol .. . if that part wasnt so depended on the confidants that you have finished.... But overall the characters were good. Pacing of the story and the story itself did not do any justice to them I think and it feels bad bc everyone had so much potential but having a big cast it was obvious that not everyone was getting the attention they deserved Ryuji - good bro and I loved him but the middle part of the game and the constant “we gotta get the girls!” moments were so . . ugh ...  confidant rank and beginning of game ryuji was absolute best though Ann - same goes for her as with ryuji that the beginning of the game was best characterization moment for her. I liked her a lot and she’s pretty bro for female heroine! but the constant fanservice kills me guys Morgana - boy did i dislike morgana for the most of the game. he really felt like teddie 2.0 at times and i just did not have a lot motivation to like him. Last arc of the game tho?? i love morgana??? i wanna cry tbh those parts near the end really resonated with me so my final verdict is that i like morgana a lot now Yusuke - I LOVE THIS BOY. while i get the beef that people have with his recruitment arc (the whole nude modeling thing) I thought it was ok since my interpretation is that he was just pissed and really needed that inspiration he found in ann but idk. otherwise his arc was good but goddamn fuck you atlus for continuously treating him like a weirdo?? PT is supposed to be a gang of misfits and yet even the teammates keep treating him like a weirdo. . that was just really bad like come on  let me kiss yusuke and feed him. also will never forgive atlus for not letting yusuke move into leblanc. He’s a very good character and very level-headed so i love him sm. he has really great moments Makoto - I liked her a lot! i do think she’s a bit overrated and that she doesn’t fit well with PT but I think that’s just the issue with Atlus pacing of the story, because her issues during her recruitment were really good (as in i did feel like she would fit into PT well) Futaba - I LOVE THIS GIRL!! I played with jpn dub which I think does much better justice to her characterization. Her entire arc was so so good and I felt like she was a really solid character going through growth. her confidant was very very good. She has a lot of funny moments and I love her antics with Yusuke. they are the blessed characters of this game. too good for this game. Haru - love her too!!!! she was so nice and sweet but damn atlus did not do her justice at all. she is the “last” party member to join and it is so sad she does not get a lof interaction with PT. like I wish PT interacted with her somehow throughout the game before she joins, be it like help her out sometimes or something bc they go to same school so when she joins later the team dynamic can easily accept her. Goro - we dont talk about goro jk but honestly he was handled bad. his link was automatic and I get why but his initial personality just makes me hate him a lot. he was cool as a party member but not for long. I expect him to appear in spinoffs bc wtf was that ending for him goddamn atlus. i like a lot his potential as a character but everything else? hate Sae was for me quite funny during the interrogation (when you start the confidant parts) but after her casino her involvement in the story I really ended up liking Sae. she’s good Also gonna mention Sojiro bc i love that coffee dad. His dynamic with Futaba and protagonist was extremely good!!! such a solid family. I loved that he finds out the truth and how he handled it. love u sojiro Speaking of protagonist, I really really really wish atlus would ease up on the “silent protagonist” a bit more. for a game as huge as this, the silence does not do justice to the protagonist. idk i just wish there would have been a bit more voice to him and solid characterization other than some off-hand comments that imply the underlying personality. i get the whole “self-insert” part but it sucks stop putting it in games Overall character summary: pacing sucked so characterization suffered a lot. a lot of characters don’t get their time to shine and while I love them a lot it really sucks to see how they were treated. Pacing ruined a lot of things including team dynamic. Palaces: (in chronological order) Kamoshida/Castle - IT SUCKED I HATE IT. being the first freaking dungeon it sure was extremely hard and damn long. also not knowing about the calling car system really hurt lmao. i just hate this dungeon and i got stuck there a lot too Madarame/Art Museum - THE BEST ONE! Honestly I think it is the only palace that really did feel like a heist! It is a very beautiful palace and im probably also biased bc its Yusuke’s arc but this palace was legit fun to get through. Kaneshiro/Bank - it was ok, good music. i don’t really feel much for it and I was just mostly annoyed how long the vault part was. Futaba/Pyramid - I loved it  a lot too! 10/10 music I had a lot of annoyances with coffin shadows and the puzzles for a bit but overall the music and aesthetics really made the palace work well with the story Okumura/Spaceship - we don’t talk about the “lunch break” parts.... overall it was ok and I liked its aesthetic. also the implications about the workers there was good sad material. Sae/Casino - 10/10 music. overall i disliked it a lot bc some of the parts really dragged and I hated gambling in there to progress. Shido/Ship - 10/10 music. overall i liked it / it was ok. the mouse mechanic was a bit fun, the last part being ... 3 boss fights in a row without saving was sure something. 10/10 creepy outside aesthetic of sunken city. Mementos Depths - not to be confused w/ p3/4 style dungeon we know as mementos (which were pretty much mindless fun to progress thru), the depths was ... so good. mostly for the creepy aesthetic 10/10 would suffer again. the music track Freedom and Security, that plays during goro’s bad end credits, plays as the theme for this dungeon and jeez did it make me feel so emo. the parts where you can talk to locked up people who are apathetic to the world just gave me depression and i loved it.. . i didnt really like the later part of it (when tokyo merges with mementos) To rank the palaces overall its:  Art museum > Mementos Depths > Pyramid >> Ruse Cruise > Spaceship > Casino > Bank >>>>>> Castle Gameplay mechanics were very solid and fun. Movement a bit could be clunky (or that’s what i felt like) and stealth mechanic in dungeons was ok. The gameplay has A LOT of attention to detail and i appreciated it a lot. UI was cluttered but it worked and was quite Aesthetic. I think the game would have benefited if the stats weren’t so important to the social aspect or if the calendar system was revamped. Final boss imo was not as bad as P4 but still ... sucked. P3′s final boss fight is still ultimately my favorite. P5 comes close but once again, pacing issues. Protagonist summoning freaking Satanael was cool af though. Honestly my big issue with P5 was the PACING that made the story and characters suck a lot of times but overall the game was extremely solid and memorable.  Of the persona entries i played i think P5 is special so I can’t really rank it. I am really attached to the game despite its heavy flaws that kill me. P3 and P2 are still quite my favorites but P5 is like really close to them so I guess it’s a fave too i love those phantom thieves
