Crowsage and Hawk have an interesting dynamic
When Hawk arrived at the Dark Forest, he found that he didn’t like his father but did like Ratbirch, so hung around him a lot. So Rat and Lovage technically unofficially adopted him, making him and Crowsage cousins and adoptive siblings at the same time, just not officially, and Hawk was an adult when he was ‘adopted’ + when Crow was born
so he’s probably more of an uncle to her and his uncle is more of a father to him

Story:
He was raised alongside his brother, Owl, as barn cats under the care of Oliver and Colten.
Once they were old enough, and after much hesitation, the pair explained to them how they were found, that they witnessed a silver-and-white she-cat leaving two bundles. They had watched over them for some time, expecting the she-cat to return, and when she didn’t, they took them in and cared for them themselves.
The brothers were horrified. They had wondered about their mother, of course, but they hadn’t thought that she had so blatantly and intentionally left them to die!
Oliver and Colten were kind cats, but they understood the rage. Coming to care for the toms so much, they held the anger as well. In addition to that, they knew that living so close to Clan cats could cause trouble, so they trained with the kits. Perhaps not as well as Clan cats, but certainly enough to get by.
He was hunting with Owl when they came close to the border. He wasn’t sure why, the barn had plenty of mice.
That was a lie. He did know why.
He wanted to see her. Wanted to see the warrior that had left them to die when they were nothing but helpless scraps of fur. He wanted to see if she regretted it. And miraculously, she showed up. Hawk wasted no time in leaping at her, and it seemed that Owl had been holding on to resentment as well, for he was just as eager.
The she-cat was dead before they processed what they had done. Bloodied, they padded in a daze back to their fathers and confessed in shock what they had done. Oliver and Colten embraced them.
That should have been the end of that, but then Oliver got sick. Hawk and Colten travelled to the closest Clan--Windclan--to ask for herbs. But the Clan cats turned them away without so much as an excuse.
Later, he and Colten snuck back, hoping to steal some in the night, but they were caught and Colten was horribly injured. Without medicine to heal either, Colten died within the next couple of days, and Oliver followed shortly after.
Hawk’s anger was immeasurable.
Two cats dead because Windclan couldn’t bother to help them. Why? Because they were loners? Because they lived nearby twolegs? How many times had the barn cats helped the Clan, for nothing in return? Hawk had heard plenty of stories!
While Owl mourned, he snuck out and waited by the borders, but they were always together in patrols. So he began killing prey and dragging them just far enough to ensure they caught the scent and separated.
He killed anyone who came close to him, then went home and comforted his brother.
He continued to act, spreading his murders between moons as to not provoke them too much.
A new loner moved in and soon became mates with Owl, expecting his kits. It was then that Owl discovered what his brother had been doing, and begged him to stop, to let his anger go. He needed to move on and live his own life, as their fathers would have wanted. Besides, if he kept going, the Clan cats would find them soon enough, and what would that mean for Owl’s kits?
Hawk knew that he was right.
But Windclan had already decided on vengeance.
So he ran, ran and jeered them on, leading them far away from the barn, far away from his brother and his kits and his brother’s mate. No more blood would be shed on their home.
Additonal Information:
--Yeah he couldn’t ‘lead them away’ since they have a set home, but with his being the only scent and appearing to live away from the barn, they would suspect only him and not the others.
--Decided on only one joining the Dark Forest instead of both.
--Brown is dominant over white, so he looks more like Batroot.
--If he had just killed Doveflame like Owl, he would not have gone to the Dark Forest.
--I can’t remember who suggested it, but hawks and owls are both birds of prey that target doves!
