His Lullaby Snippet [Eddie Gluskin x Waylon Park Fanfiction]
Thought I’d post a small snippet of what I wrote for my fanfic :) Put it out there a bit for anyone who’s looking for a longer fic to read. It’s still a WIP, but much of the book has been completed. I’ll link it here for those interested.

“I try and try to treat you well, darling, but-” Eddie continued but Waylon stopped him with a biting slap to the side of the head. The action caught Eddie off guard, and he made a swipe for Waylon. Luckily Waylon was able to duck, hearing the small whoosh of Eddie’s fist flying.
“Stop it, Eddie! Stop it!” Waylon hollered, and Eddie paused at the raise of Waylon’s voice. They both glared at one another, letting the silence speak for them that there was a temporary truce.
Waylon regained his breath and adjusted his leg, all the while Eddie’s eyes were on him, watching him with curiosity that quickly turned to concern. He tried making a move towards Waylon, but the engineer held his palm up and glared daggers at the larger man.
“Stop.” And Eddie did.
“I left because I heard you yelling. I thought you were being hurt,” Waylon explained, his voice now at a reasonable volume. “You sounded like you were in pain, and I wanted to make sure you weren’t being stabbed by a homicidal maniac.”
That would be irony at its finest… Waylon thought to himself.
The explanation seemed to confuse Eddie, his eyebrows drawing together in blatant skepticism.
“I never called for you,” Eddie told him.
Waylon tilted his head to the side, raising an eyebrow. “What?”
“I didn’t call your name,” Eddie restated.
“No, no. I heard that part.” Waylon thought to himself for a moment. “I heard you saying ‘darling’.”
“You’re my darling.”
“I know, that’s not what I meant. No- get away,” Waylon held a palm up to Eddie’s chest, stopping him from trying to envelope Waylon in another hug of reassurance. Eddie made a pouty face as he was pushed away. “I need to think.”
