Happy second anniversary to Centaurworld! \(-^.^-)/ 

I first watched it about a month before season 2 released, just after the start of a string of difficult patches and often watched the show or listened to the songs to calm down (I have no idea how many times I’ve listened to “Breathe in a bag” and “Fragile Things, reprise”). Because of the series I’ve not only met some new friends, but also ventured into new types of projects, including a couple that are still in progress.

The quote actually comes from a convention panel I attended several years ago, to describe the dynamic of two characters, I don’t remember which series, but the quote has stayed with me all this time and feels like the perfect fit for the herd’s dynamic.

The lettering was especially fun to do and I loved figuring out ones that fit to each character, my favourites are probably Glendale’s looking like she got them from several sources (including the logo), and how Horse, Rider, and Stabby’s gradually go from angular with cold colours to softer and warmer.

Happy Anniversary Centaurworld, thank you for the memories I’ve made with you and will make in the future.

One more kick and the door busted open. She was ready for them, sitting on the couch with a freshly loaded shotgun. Time was pushing her fast to the end of her life, and after forty-plus years of living in that town she had had enough. The land was rightfully hers and they wanted her off it. They wanted to push every Black person out who managed to get a little something (and it wasn't much) even if they paid their damn taxes and managed to stay out of jail. So what if she managed to power her house by the solar panels she found at a swap meet and learned how to install at home. Or if she refused to send her kids to their trashy school down the street when her daughter came home one day sunk deeply into a hurt she couldn't excavate. She grew almost all her own food and medicine, collected rainwater to drink. Never bothered nobody and yet here they were coming to arrest her since she started teaching other people how to live off the grid, too-folks living right here in town. To hell with their laws. The kids were grown and she had lived a full live; if today proved to be the day of her reckoning, so be it. Her papers were safe with the great radical lawyer. She raised her gun and waited. Aimed. Hadn't she and her people always been waiting ? Not today. No today.
