BREAKING UP: LIPQUAKE - cast & carved plaster, metal leaf, black faux suede shadowbox, wood, glass, paint - 9½"x 10"x 2¼"

This unique piece came about after the larger, rectangular cast broke. I then deliberately broke the casting into a smaller irregular shape and then carved the irregular ridges into what had been an uniformly smooth surface. Leafed it and then applied a light gray wash.

Camiseta feita a partir de 5 peças diferentes.

3 que eu decidi juntar porque as cores combinam perfeitamente e mais 2 retalhos de mangas dos meus projetos anteriores que também ajudam na composição, branco com o rosa degrade e o preto com a estampa preta.

Como eu queria um comprimento maior eu precisei por esses dois retalhos na área da gola, vou mostrar como fiz:

Primeiro eu alinhavei com cor contrastante. Foi preciso pois o reatalho branco era pequeno. Isso serve pra não escorregar na hora de costurar na máquina. Eu passei um pesponto bem em cima da costura já existente na gola. Depois de pronto eu removi o alinhavo rosa. E cortei a blusa no sentido vertical.

Depois prendi a parte degrade no centro camuflado e costurei com zigzag e reta, deixando por fazer na área da barra.

Também alinhavei o retalho preto na gola rosa e costurei em cima dos pesponto. Descosturei um pouquinho no ombro pro alinhavo encaixar melhor.

No vídeo dá pra ver minha mão esquerda se movimentando bem mais, seguindo a curva da gola, não deixando o tecido embolar, se isso acontece pode prejudicar a qualidade da costura. Fiz meus pontos bem em cima dos já existentes.

O retalho preto foi aplicado na parte da frente da gola e atrás. Depois calculei a linha do corte na parte preta e costurei a blusa rosa com a parte camuflada, deixando também uma área sem costura na barra.

Fiz assim porque deixei para aplicar a barra camuflada no final, assim posso fazer os ajustes pra deixar todas as partes da mesma altura. Fechei com zigzag e reta.

A peça final ficou com as mangas bem assimétricas, eu gostei desse defeito que virou um efeito. Ficou enorme, colorida, mas se fosse fazer de novo eu esconderia os pesponto e das golas, faria costura embutida. Isso fica para um próximo projeto.
