- to keep in theme with jasper and victoria’s love for gothic and horror they named their son wesley after iconic horror director wes craven. it seemed on par with their son because he just loves making people scream. wesley and his twin cthulhu came to be with the aid of the dark arts. their mother was having trouble convincing so with a little bit of black magic the twins came to be. he was half skeleton monster which means while he could do all that his dad did it came with a price because of his human side. his body wasn’t fully made to withstand all that was needed so wesley could pop parts off but it left marks on his body - unlike his father. as for a full skeletal transformation? wesley attempted it once and the pain was too excruciating he had to stop. ironically, he was left with a broken arm.
- wes was gifted the same brilliant mind his father had. he was a certified genius except he didn’t use his intelligence to its full potential. jasper had always sought out something more in life but wes was just content with where he was. he didn’t want to be grand or special, he was fine with slacking off and not giving people expectations. he didn’t want to live up to the skellington name which he was well aware was powerful in hallow falls. it was once besmirched but his father had fixed his reputation, leaving citizens to continue to grovel at their feet for forgiveness. he was the only son in a sea of girls and while jasper didn’t want to pressure his son he also wishes wes would see his potential.

- when donnie couldn’t imagine a world without his brothers he decided to take matters into his own hands and clone them so that his brothers could live on forever. the only thing is that somewhere in his mad scientist doings donnie created daughters rather than sons and thus lorena was born. her parents were not expecting her. with two kids they thought they were done until donnie said sike here’s one more. the youngest of the hamato girls, lorena is, well, exactly her father’s daughter. the only thing is that unlike her father and uncles, lorena isn’t deeply traumatized.

bryson aguilar learned at a very young age that fire is destructive. he was five - in fact - when the day he discovered that he could expel fire from his hands turned into the day his life would change forever in more than one way.
he lived in a small cottage with his mother and father, two people whose images blurred together now in adulthood. bryson can’t remember much about life in puebla, but he remembered that house. he watched as that house light up in flames by his own hands, not understanding at such a young age that fire was dangerous in a way that would take everything from you if you weren’t careful with it.
while his parents, in their mourning, were spooked by their son’s newfound ability and immediately wanted nothing to do with him for destroying their home, they were at least thoughtful enough to ship him off to a place where they felt he’d be accommodated appropriately - five suns orphanage in mexico city. home for weirdo x-men kids. he quickly got close to bria, a kid who was a little younger and still didn’t understand the strength of her own powers. he saw a lot of himself in bria, before the fire. bria would make it lightening during recess just because it made them laugh. bry remembered laughing like that and throwing flames around, too.
after a while, bryson couldn’t be found without bria. even on the (rare) occasion some weirdly fascinated adult came in about adoption, they’d never meet people separately. bryson didn’t think he’d leave without bria, opting to age out in the orphanage before leaving her behind. and that was part of the reason brynne immediately fell in love with them when they met, vowing to bring them to california and give them the best life she could. bryson had just turned seven.
he felt right at home with brynne, and even more so as time went on and they met more and more family. his mom had a huge family, as it turned out - siblings and family friends (shoutout hamatos) that all had kids his and bria’s ages. it felt like it was where he was meant to be all along.
sixteen years later and while he can remember the day he met his mother as if it was yesterday, he can’t remember much before that. the friends he made here stemmed from childhood, the majority of his life made in elias. all of his defining factors pointed to being a utonium - and that was pretty cool.
but he was still hesitant to use his powers for ... well, anything. it took him years to even show them to his mom, not wanting to put anything in harm’s way - but eventually with the help of his mom and aunts he was able to understand them a little better, realize that they stemmed from emotion - and now he’s learned how to use them as efficiency tools in day-to-day life. something tells him, deep in his gut, that he hasn’t seen the full potential yet ...
but he wasn’t sure he wanted to, either.

when little manuela nunes thought about what she wanted to be , the person she wanted to become , a conwoman was never the first answer . maybe a detective , a superspy , someone who was helping change the world . she wanted to be one of the good guys , and she wanted to change lives ! unfortunately , those weren't the cards she'd been dealt .
life growing up wasn't exactly easy . with her parents constantly struggling to pay the bills , her father's abuse of alcohol and the way he would constantly take it out on luana , her mother , it eventually became clearer and clearer to manu that if she wanted something , anything , she'd have to work hard for it , because no one else would give it to her . especially not her father , and as for her mom ... well , she felt guilty even thinking about asking her for anything at all .
one night , her mother decided enough was enough and left the house , carrying an eight year old manu in her arms . the little girl didn't quite understand what was happening , where they were going , but it was the first time in years that she'd felt safe . that things would get better , and that someone was actually looking out for her . the pair eventually landed on a shelter a couple hours away from home , and that's where they'd stay for a long , long time . the shelter wasn't too bad ; the other women staying there were kind , friendly , and manu was all too excited to befriend the other three or two kids that also lived there . she thought it was the best place on earth , until it wasnt .
it was a sunday morning when she woke up to find her mother had left . no note , nothing , but she wasn't coming back ; manu realized that the moment she realized her things were left behind but not her mom's . she cried for five hours that day , and the only reason she didn't cry longer was because she was all out of tears . the women working at the shelter and the ones staying there sympathized with the little girl , deciding to come together and look after her . she was grateful of course , but manu knew that wouldn't last ; they'd all go away eventually , hopefully to a better life , and she'd probably stay behind . she'd have to find her own way out .
things changed sooner than expected , much to her surprise . the lady who had created the shelter was told about what happened and flew her way home that very hour , knowing the kid was a priority . when manu met her , she first thought the woman was some sort of fairy , maybe an angel , which made even more sense after angela introduced herself . maybe she was one of those hero people manu wanted to be like ; she'd almost forgotten they exist .
it was decided that manuela would stay under angela's protection , as the woman couldn't accept leaving her with absolutely no one , no family to turn to . things started changing after that day and although manu still missed her mom from time to time , she didn't miss home at all . eventually , angela introduced her to a guy named nick , who they introduced her to a little guy named elwood , and manu hasn't known peace since .
random facts
as previously mentioned , manuela majored in fine arts . angela was all too happy to encourage the girl's goals of higher education . she knew she would be an incredible student , manu always had been . while she hasn't pursued a career as an artist , you might still catch her painting during her free time . it helps her calm down and get in touch with the part of herself she doesn't often show , the one who's still healing from everything .
manu is very much the mom of the wilde bunch . she's the one keeping an eye on the read of the gang during a heist , and she does it all from the comfort of her little office . she's the bunch's hacker and recon specialist , but will go to field if they're short on hands .
as expected from the group's big brain , she is literally a bottomless pit of information . manu learned from a young age that knowledge is power and if she was going to give herself all the things she wanted , if she was going to become someone reliable , who people could depend on , then she needed to be prepared for everything and know more than the rest . she's more than well equipped for whatever topic you throw her way ; she has to be .
because of everything that happened when she was little , she's not so sure she can be the honorable , virtuous , larger than life person she wanted to be as a kid . she's seen too much of the world to ever be that way again .

flynn fitzherbert always put a lot of weight on being king. as a kid playing make believe, his duties often involved dragons and monsters and citizens to be saved, but he was paying attention to the job he was born into ever since it connected that it would one day be his. even with childish ideals of what being king would entail, it was engrained in him to be pride himself in it and fall into the role with grace. at eighteen, fresh out of school, he did just that - stepping into his role as the future king of corona and absorbing any and all information he could like a sponge in order to prepare.
what he didn’t expect was to fall short of the standards he had put on himself in the process, crumbling under the pressure of royalty a mere four years into his training. all his life, his father drilled into his head just how privileged he was to be in this position, how lucky. he was brought into this world that seemed so easy in childhood, yet rewarding all the same. flynn hadn’t been ready for the difficulties of ruling. the realization that you couldn’t help everyone and that people could simply hate you due to the symbolism behind your last name.
it wasn’t his idea to take what his father kept referring to as a gap year, but the realization that flynn was putting so much pressure on himself led to concern and insistence to temporarily step away. they realized they he never really had the chance to just be a kid, to find himself and live life as flynn - and while he didn’t hold much value in those types of things, his parents thought it was important for him to take the time to figure out life beyond the throne. connect with his siblings again. maybe take a class or two. have fun.
that’s been flynn’s goal over the course of the past six months - to just live - though it sometimes proves to be a tall order. the kid who was once the epitome of sunshine had turned into a ball of stress, and apparently he’s supposed to go find the sunshine again. whatever that meant. he’ll find out eventually.

Cassie is the eldest and heir to the Beausoleil throne. Though not by any choice of her own as she would much rather run away and hideaway to paint. She is biologically Sulley’s daughter but adopted by Adam when she was born. - named after sabrina the teenage witch. her parents were monster hunters. it was a business not many found themselves in and if you did it wasn’t for the weak of heart. her parents were the best they had and often found themselves relocating to get jobs done. a good chunk of her life was spent in savannah, georgia, given the monster problem there was out of control. there were towns were monsters were allowed to roam free and be harmonious with humans, however, that wasn’t the case there. monsters terrorized the citizens in savannah - vampires mostly.
- sabrina was trained from a young age. her parents wanted to make sure that their daughter would be able to defend herself not just on the battlefield but in life in general. sabrina had become the best in the ranks yet she was keeping a secret from her parents: she was a witch. it was little things that happened that all added up to her regonziging her abilities. she wasn’t a monster per se but she wasn’t a normal person either anymore, so she kept her abilities under the radar. she’s use them to aid her from time to time and when her parents were asleep she would research and practice on her own time but she never told them about her gifts. she wish she would have before they were killed.
- her parents were tasked with an assignment outside of hallow falls. a town they were not welcomed in and kept the peace by not trespassing. outside of the town limits was free game and that’s where sabrina’s parents found themselves. at the age of nine, sabrina’s parent had brought her along to watch them at work. it was supposed to be an easy mission but they couldn’t have been more wrong. sabrina doesn’t remember much about that night. the nitty gritty details that is. the only thing she remembers is a giant, lanky figure coming her way and scooping her up. the next thing she knew she had found herself at the skellington manor and had found herself a new family. and if you’re wondering, yes, jasper did indeed kill the thing that killed her parents. she learned this later on in life and thank her dad for saving her despite how hard he worked to keep killer detached from his name.
- on the outside, sabrina wouldn’t have known she had been placed in a monsters home but when she found out that her new father was the very thing she had been trained to hunt it was an adjustment for sure. it took some time for sabrina to warm up to the skellingtons but she eventually did. all her life she had been told monsters were bad but she didn’t know they could be so kind and human - maybe ever more human than regular people. she embraced the skellingtons and soon embraced the witch she was meant to be with the help of her victoria. after all these years she has to fight against her instincts when home but it’s become easier. in high school she was quite popular, when your father was the mayor and his family was the founding family most people did try to get on your good side, she was top of her class and on the cheerleading team. after graduation she went to her parents alma mater walt university where she continued to cheer and found herself being crowned homecoming queen. now, sabrina uses her skills in a better way. she’s a fight and stunt coordinator for movies. you may not know it’s her but she’s been in some pretty big films. she proud of her work and glad she can use what she was taught for good rather than killing. when she’s not on some movie set you can find her with her family. sabrina takes her role as the eldest seriously and does her best to keep her siblings in check.
- personality wise – sabrina can come off as intimidating at first. she has a very cool and calm demeanor about her. she’s not as scary as she appears or maybe she is. she can be a bit too honest for her own good. she doesn’t speak unless she has something she feels is insightful or meaningful unlike her siblings who often just pour out filler. a girly girl who can kick your ass. she enjoys fashion and isn’t afraid to run in heels. she’s often stressed by her younger siblings antics and does her best to keep them out of trouble and alive. as well as every their siblings come in contact with alive.

you can’t trust a single thing i say.
if asked where they came from, vik would say: “i reckon something monstrous sank into the ground, and the world chewed it up and spat me out.” the words would be flippant and the grin would be confident, but their eyes and teeth would be sharp.
vik - or the being calling herself vik, depending on how they feel that day - doesn’t really remember his early childhood. those memories are like an old mirror, fractured and faded. the older the shards, the more the memories have been ground into dust. maybe there was a mother, or someone like it. at some point there was warmth in arms that felt safe, but only a fraction of what might have been there remains for vik to hold onto. it’s hard not to resent that person who might’ve been a mother, and the way what slivers remain of that time cut vik when he tries to hold them.
vik remembers a sense of home. vik remembers leaving town with someone (the maybe-mother) in the middle of the night. vik remembers being alone. mostly, they remember being alone.
while alone, they learned to put up walls and masks, to bare teeth and sharpen claws and be a monster. that’s one of his most solid memories, after all - someone seeing the way his body morphed and shifted, flesh turning to shadow and back to flesh, and calling him a little monster.
she was a little girl of twelve or thirteen calling herself nikolai when she crossed paths with cassandra jager. she was surviving through quick feet and quicker fingers, through sharp smiles and false faces, through honeyed words and shadowed cruelty.
it wasn’t a great start.
cassandra doesn’t have a good history with dark entities dressed up like children, and nikolai hadn’t survived as long as she did without knowing how to get in people’s heads. so, one day a woman with scars, a confident gait, and blades she clearly knows how to use walked into town, and nikolai had enough audacity not to steer clear. she found out the hard way that this is the kind of woman who catches your hand when you try to pick her pocket - and one whose sharp eyes catch the way you were on the verge of changing your face as you tried to slip away. and once nikolai can’t be underestimated anymore, she knew how to be feared.
cass was initially suspicious and guarded, and nikolai was posturing and manipulative, trying to dig into old wounds. it could have gone very badly.
but. but. a child is still a child no matter how much they pretend not to be. and cass recognises the eyes of a lost and lonely child when she sees one. once the realisation set in that this was actually a child, not just something pretending to be one, cass shifted gears immediately.
it was hard to wrap their head around - someone offering kindness after figuring out what they were. despite herself, nikolai latched onto cass like a stray cat and eventually followed her all the way home to corona.
vik and cassandra’s relationship isn’t quite that of a mother and child. cass is somewhere between a parent and mentor - though she made sure not to repeat her father’s mistakes (and her mother’s cruelties). she provided for vik, did her best to be a source of support (and, of course, weaponry/combat/acrobatic training, when vik got older. vik’s partial to knives). by now, vik has a deeply held admiration for cassandra, even if he doesn’t wear it on his sleeve.
having somewhere - and more importantly, someone - to anchor to was lifechanging for vik. more volcanic parts of their identity started to settle as they truly experimented with their powers and identity. when cass went wandering they’d dutifully follow, though acknowledgement of their own investment varied - it’s hard to let go of cynicism and the playful, unaffected amusement they hide behind. cass now sees through it every time, though.
even now, vik’s never really been able to shake the certainty they’re a monster. for better or worse, they lean into it. they indulge their vices, and try to drag others along with them. half the time they don’t know if their confidence is real or a mask. they’re so good at masks is the thing, so does the difference really matter? if they wear a face that’s charming and bold, who’s to say it isn’t true? maybe those people were right. maybe she is a monster. and maybe vik’s fucking fine with it.

bria maldonado’s earliest memories took place in the heart of mexico city, in a little house transformed into a group home for kids just like them. it was labeled as five suns orphanage, but bria learned pretty young that kids with powers - kids who were different - they didn’t typically get adopted. kids here just stuck around until they aged out of the system.
but that was okay because at least bria was growing up with people who were going through the same kind of learning processes they were.
bryson arrived soon after bria did - she was four at the time - and she soon refused to go anywhere without him. from their earliest years at the orphanage to even their safest moments as they adjusted in elias - as utoniums - she had a hard time leaving him out of her sight. bryson was the first person to show bria concern for their well-being, teaching them that these powers they possess can be great or horrible depending on how you use them. it was such a big lesson to learn so young, but to this day - bria’s older brother is their moral compass, even if they don’t always listen to it.
when bria and bryson were adopted, bria quickly grew fond of her auntie trix. while they loved chemistry, and bonded with the professor over that, bria spent her formative years wanting to be like beatrix. it influenced their style, their demeanor, and even the types of music they listened to. so it made sense, when bria got themself in a bit of a bind last year - that was exactly who they called.

bria had gotten bold in a very short time when it came to their knowledge and ability in chemistry. ever since meeting the professor and discovering he was a scientist, bria had glued herself to him and demanded he teach them everything he knew. in his old age, professor utonium reminisced about his time as a young scientist in his experiment era with this braggart sort of air about him - the time in his life that created bria’s mother and favorite aunties. he made it sound like it was easy for people who were as intelligent as they were to do what he did all those years ago, especially with how much technology had evolved since then. it made bria want to try just to see if they could. maybe that the experiment could be used to help with tedious tasks bria didn’t have time to prioritize - things like laundry and chores and writing research papers.
and try she fucking did, hardly even thinking about what they would do if they succeeded. she compiled research in secret for three years, subtly picking at the professor for information by feigning interest in his glory days. on their twenty first birthday, bria had finally collected enough data to confidently compile a recipe and attempt their first experiment.
their twenty first birthday. on june 21st, 2021.
and then she met una-julie. well - she created una-julie with the idea that if her grandfather and uncle donnie could make people in a lab, it couldn’t be that fucking hard. the original idea was to make a kid - research seemed to think that would be easier - but for some reason or another ( overshot or, perhaps, even the date ) out came a full fledged 21 year old - same age as bria.
even smarter, too.
not knowing what to do, or how to explain to her family that there was a new person in the house, bria called their auntie trix who quickly agreed to take una-julie in while they sorted it out. and apparently that time was now - because over a year later, una-julie was leaving townsville and moving in with bria for the next month. apparently, auntie believes she needs to socialize.

Diana knows she’s special. She along with her 3 cousins were cloned from her dad and uncles. She knew that her existence was Donnie’s greatest act of love. That didn’t stop her from being a menace. Diana was every bit as smart as her father and just as sarcastic. She trained with her cousins under her grandfather Splinter and dear uncle Leo.
